Paldium is needed in Palworld in large quantities, especially if you want to craft Palmetal and important items like spheres and tools. We will show you how to get it and the best way to farm it.
Where to get Paldium shards? To obtain Paldium, you have various options:
- Mine it with a pickaxe
- Look for blue ore chunks in water-rich areas like lakes or rivers
- Collect it in the open world
- Sometimes individual shards are lying on the ground, you can recognize them by their blue shine
- Passive through stone mining
- With a low chance, you can find Paldium when mining regular stones
- For advanced users: Craft it in the shredder
- If you have a shredder in your base, you can craft Paldium shards
The last method is especially suitable if you really need large quantities of Paldium. And you will need it in the long run, as Paldium is required for all sorts of things that can help you in any way – be it all kinds of spheres, Pal-boxes, modules, weapons, ammunition, armor, or saddles.
Therefore, we explain how you can effectively farm Paldium.
Effectively farm Paldium shards – here’s how
If you are tired of manually mining Paldium, you should get a shredder and the right Pals.
Build a shredder
You can unlock the shredder at technology level 8, and to build one in your base, you need the following materials:
- 50 x wood
- 20 x stone
- 10 x Paldium shard
If you want to produce as much Paldium as easily as possible with it, you can throw in the following to get 1 Paldium shard each:
- 5 x stone
- 2 x ore
Alternatively, you can convert spheres that you do not need into Paldium. The rarer the sphere, the more Paldium you will get from it.
Assign suitable Pals to the shredder
To automatically produce Paldium shards with the shredder, you must assign a Pal with the “Watering” ability. Make sure that the level of the ability is as high as possible to farm effectively.
Suitable Pals include:
- Pengullet or Penking
- Good in the early game, as you can easily catch them
- Azurobe or Broncherry Aqua
- Good mid-game solution, as they bring a relatively high level in watering
- Jormuntide
- Perfect for endgame, as it brings the maximum level and works incredibly fast
Ensure a constant flow of stone in the quarry
You should already have a quarry at this point in the game. If you don’t, be sure to rectify that. Because with it, you can ensure that you are virtually never short of the necessary material for the shredder.
Then assign the following Pals to produce stones around the clock:
- Tombat
- Good in the early game, as it is easy to catch and nocturnal, allowing it to mine at night
- Anubis
- Good for mid-game and additionally a good craftsman when replaced with better miners
- Astegon or Blazamut
- Perfect for endgame, as they bring a very high mining level, but are also not so easy to catch
But you can also assign other suitable Pals. The important thing is that they have a high level in the mining ability.
