Palworld Version 1.0 – Patch Notes
Pal tamer, the time has come.
Today, Palworld leaves Early Access. Palworld 1.0 is here!
Sunreach, a mysterious new island floating in the sky… The World Tree, the centerpiece of the Palworld story… Palpagos has grown, and a new adventure awaits you.
Palworld 1.0 adds 72 new Pals to the world, bringing the total number of Pals to an incredible 287!
Palworld 1.0 also introduces new ways to enhance your Pals through Awakening and Mutation, provides overhauled stats and abilities for all Pals, and features major revamps in many areas of the game, including base building, multiplayer, and graphics.
The journey that began in Early Access reaches its peak – and from here, a new Palworld begins.
▼ New Areas & World Improvements
● Sunreach
A new group of islands has appeared high above Palpagos! Carried by the power of Paldium, this land offers a totally different environment compared to the surface, with a unique civilization that has taken root over many years.
Sunreach introduces a variety of new content, including new Pals, tower bosses, and ores that can only be mined with specialized equipment.
Explore every corner of Sunreach and challenge the towers that hide above the clouds. What awaits you on the edge of the sky may be the still-unknown memories of this island…
● The World Tree
Why do the factions of the Palpagos Islands endlessly fight for possession of the towers? The secret hidden on this island will finally be revealed.
The key to the story of Palworld is the World Tree, which towers high above Palpagos, and it is here that players will face their greatest challenge yet.
● Overhauled World!
- Ancient Ruins: Ancient ruins have been added throughout the world. By exploring and completing mini-games, you can earn valuable rewards such as blueprints (Schematics).
- Observation Towers: Observation towers have been added in various locations. Activating a tower reveals the surrounding map and serves as a fast travel point, making it easier to explore uncharted areas.
- New Small Islands: A total of 7 new small islands have been added, featuring three different biomes: volcano, desert, and ruins. Each island serves its own purpose and is home to Pals that can only be encountered there.
- New Settlements: Small settlements have been added in the bamboo groves, snowy mountains, Sakurajima, and Sunreach. Each settlement offers new NPCs and side quests. Additionally, enemy bases have been added at sea, further expanding the setting for exploration and combat.
● Overhaul of Wildlife Sanctuaries!
The Wildlife Sanctuaries, which were previously small islands, have been transformed into protected reserves created by an ancient civilization to preserve the natural environment. Each of the three sanctuaries has its own unique environment, featuring unique backdrops, Pals that can only be found there, rare materials, and powerful bosses.
Inside, defense drones patrol to eliminate intruders. Sneak onto the islands and avoid the searchlights, or go in with weapons drawn – the choice is yours!
● Adjustment of Pal Habitats (Rebalancing)
We have revamped the placement and spawn levels of Pals around the world. The Pal spawns feel more natural in each region you explore, giving the search for Pals a new sense of fun and adventure!
For the Random Pal Spawn Mode, placement data from version v0.7.3 and earlier will no longer be used to accurately reflect this rebalancing.
● Increased Player Level Cap
The maximum player level has been increased from 65 to 80. Many new technologies related to the ancient civilization have been added.
● Further Adjustments & Improvements
- Lifmunk Statues have been transformed into “Pal Statues”. You can now collect statues of various Pals to improve player stats. (Previously received Lifmunk Statues will remain unchanged.)
- New animation and effects have been added for picking up a Pal statue. (The animation will be skipped if the player is riding a Pal.)
- Treasure chests, dungeon rewards, and item drops have been rebalanced.
- Layouts and lighting of dungeons have been adjusted and improved. Additionally, dungeon rewards have been rebalanced.
- Completed towers will now be displayed in a different color on the map.
- When a random dungeon is open, its entrance will now be highlighted more clearly.
- 15 new entrances to random dungeons have been added throughout Feybreak.
- The layout of some random dungeons, where players could easily get lost, has been improved.
- Predator Pals no longer appear in fixed locations but now spawn at a low rate across the map.

▼ Quests & Story
● Major Overhaul of Main Quests and Story Progression
The story of Palworld has been significantly overhauled. Exploring Palpagos, battling tower bosses, and the way to the World Tree now connect more naturally.
Sunreach, the World Tree, a colossal legendary Pal…! The previously scattered adventure goals have been structured, allowing you to progress through the game while uncovering the mysteries of the island.

▼ Pals!
● 72 New Pals Added!
47 new Pals and 25 Pal variants (subspecies) have been added! Encounter still-unknown Pals by exploring Sunreach, the World Tree, and various other regions.
● New Mechanic: Awakening
We have added a new mechanic called “Awakening” that allows you to further enhance your Pals.
Collect hidden Radiant Gems in the depths of the newly opened mystical area – the World Tree – and use them on your favorite Pals to awaken their hidden true power. Aim for even greater heights and make your Pals the strongest!
● New Mechanic: Mutation
With “Mutation”, a new mechanic has been introduced, where breeding has a low chance of creating a Pal that is stronger than the normal breeding outcome. Pals hatching from mutated eggs have higher stats and a unique passive ability.
Additionally, new cakes with special effects have been added:
- Mushroom Cake: Slightly increases the chance that freshly hatched Pals have higher stats.
- Vegetable Cake: Produces two Pal eggs at once.
- Deluxe Vegetable Cake: Increases the chance of mutations and makes higher stat growth more likely.
- Special Cake: Increases the chance of inheriting multiple passive abilities from the Pal parents.
Mutations make Pal breeding more complex and exciting for players who want to raise the ultimate Pal!

Beyond these examples, many more effects have been added or refined.
For almost all Pals, it has been set that the effects of partner abilities will no longer stack when having multiple Pals of the same type in the team. This expands the possibilities in team building and prevents the balance from tilting too far.
The descriptions of partner abilities have been improved so that specific effect values are easier to understand.
Along with the effect changes, some names of partner abilities have also been adjusted.
With the numerous changes, players can perfectly tailor their teams for every situation. Here are some examples:
[Build Examples]
- Bow & Arrow Build: * Loomen: In the group, the player’s arrows explode upon impact.
- Robinquill Terra: In the group, the player’s bow draw speed increases.
- → Effect: The combination of explosive arrows and faster draw speed allows for continuous fire at high damage from a safe distance.
- Status Change Build: * Renjishi: In the group, the player’s attacks inflict “Burning”.
- Jormuntide Ignis: In the group, lava damage is nullified, and the damage of players and Pals against burning enemies is increased.
- Flaracle: In the group, attacking a burning opponent inflicts additional explosion damage.
- → Effect: Uses burning as a starting point to maximize damage and corner enemies with continuous firepower and bonus damage.
- Elemental Build: * Gloopie Primo: In the group, increases the defense of Water Pals.
- Kelpsea: In the group, increases the attack of Water Pals.
- Penking Lux: In the group, players and Pals improve their water damage against enemy weaknesses.

- → Effect: Increases the success rate of fishing and the amount of rewards, making it more convenient to collect items.
We have also made numerous adjustments to make a greater variety of Pals in the team more useful:
[Balance Adjustments for Pals]
- The effect “Increased Item Drop Amount” was previously only active when fighting directly with the respective Pal. From now on, it is enough to just have the Pal in the group. This eases team building for explorations and material gathering.
- To increase the chances of obtaining seeds, Vaelet now drops seeds when ranching. This makes preparing for farming and base building easier.
- To make materials easier to gather for early game progression through ranch work, we have added ranch suitability to some Pals and adjusted the materials obtainable there.
- For some Pals, such as glider-enhancing Pals or Pals that support player attacks, crafting Pal Gear is no longer required. You can use the partner ability the moment you catch the Pal!
- With partner abilities that execute follow-up attacks, the follow-up damage can no longer inadvertently knock out a Pal. This prevents accidentally defeating a Pal you actually wanted to catch.
[Adjustments to Specific Effects]
- The healing effect of Pals like Petallia and Lyleen has been switched from a fixed value to a percentage-based healing based on maximum health. This remains a reliable healing method even in late game.
- Jetragons Aerial Missile has received more damage and the cooldown has been shortened.
- Rushoar’s Charge has been adjusted to stop in place when colliding with ore. Your position shifts less frequently while mining, making handling easier.
- Lamball’s Fluffy Shield now has a larger defensive radius to block attacks more easily.
- Mimog can now open all types of treasure chests, even if not condensed (upgraded).
● New Passive Abilities
Many new passive abilities have been added, including extremely powerful abilities with entirely new properties for targeted breeding:
- Lightfooted: Increases the number of jumps while riding this Pal.
- Reload Master: Increases the player’s reload speed.
- Ranch Master: Work Suitability “Ranching” +2.
A new category of “World Tree Passive Abilities” has also been added. These are incredibly powerful, but come at a cost:
- Twin-Edged Holy Blade: Attack +50%. In exchange, defense decreases.
- Dimensional Leap: Movement speed +50%. In exchange, hunger increases faster.
- Demon’s Hand: Work speed +90%. In exchange, SAN value decreases faster.
● Many New Pal Animations!
In total, over 100 new movements and animations have been added (swimming, sleeping by your side, idle animations, etc.). The 47 new Pals also feature unique animations, giving them more personality while working in the base.

● New Attack Command for Pals
By clicking the mouse wheel or pressing the right stick while targeting, you can directly command your Pal: “Attack this opponent!”
● Combat Improvements for Wild Pals!
Wild Pals behave smarter in combat: dog Pals bite, horse Pals use repeated charge attacks, and fast Pals strategically retreat after their own attack.
● Arena Legend!
A new arena rank awaits you! The match duration in the arena has been reduced from 5 to 2 minutes (opponent stats have been adjusted accordingly).
