What is hacking in Star Wars Outlaws? In this Ubisoft game, you can not only pick locks but also hack systems. There are two differences: normal hacking and hacking with a hacking kit.
The hacking kit makes the whole process much easier for you. Some consoles can only be hacked with a hacking kit.
Hacking is used for systems where you can transfer credits or data. If you have a wanted status with the Empire, you can erase it in hacked systems.

Hacking in Star Wars Outlaws
How does hacking work? In the hacking mini-game, you need to enter three or four symbols or numbers as a combination. You find the correct symbols and their sequence by simple trial and error. You enter the given symbols and see what colors they turn in the block.
red: The symbol is not part of the combination.
yellow: The symbol is part of the combination but is in the wrong position.

Can I customize hacking? The mini-game around hacking is not a must for your gameplay. If you don’t feel like the extra challenge, you can simply turn it off in the settings, replace the symbols with numbers, or increase the number of attempts you have.
