Developer lowers system requirements for LEGO game
Which game is it about? Specifically, it is about LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, an action game set to be released on May 26, 2026. In early January, developer TT Games announced the system requirements, surprising many players: TT Games set a recommendation of 32 GB of RAM.
However, the developers have partially revised these requirements: On February 13, 2026, TT Games announced on Steam that they intend to reduce the system requirements in terms of RAM for their new LEGO game: Instead of 32 GB, only 16 GB is now recommended. The minimum requirements remain at 16 GB of RAM, and no other changes have been made.
MeinMMO editor Nikolas Hernes was able to ask 4 developers behind the upcoming RPG Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection a few questions about the new size of the title, the habitat restoration, and the hardest monsters.
What is Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection? The RPG is the new installment in the Monster Hunter Stories series and will be released on March 13, 2026, on the Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
For the upcoming RPG, as well as for the series itself, I interviewed the lead developers of the game and spoke with:
Ryozo Tsujimoto – Executive Producer
Kenji Oguro – Director
Takahiro Kawano – Art Director
Daisuke Wakahara – Lead Game Designer
MeinMMO: Thank you for the opportunity. First of all: What stands out to me is the visual change from Stories 2 to Stories 3. Why did you decide to change the proportions of the monsters and characters in the new game?
Ryōzō Tsujimoto: Yes, when we started working on the third title of the series, I had the opportunity to think about the development of the first two games. And I think we did a great job bringing the Monster Hunter series into a new genre, namely that of turn-based RPGs.
I think the biggest part of our work was to transfer the gameplay of the series into this new format and ensure that it works. Players received this very well.
That was, so to speak, our starting point, where I thought that we had achieved everything we could achieve in this game so far in terms of gameplay. So where should we go with the next game, and were there new directions we wanted to take?
As we began thinking about the next direction at the start of this development, the RPG element was the main focus for me. I wanted to develop the next game, No. 3, even more towards JRPG.
This meant giving the story more maturity and depth. I think this has naturally been reflected in the visual style, because in the first two games, you accompanied these young riders on their journey to adulthood and saw how they became part of this world.
And that meant we wanted to show in part 3 that this development has already taken place and that you are now controlling a more realistic, mature character, which is also shown in the relationship between the riders and the rangers in the game and their interaction with the monsters. Ultimately, the visual style reflects a certain new maturity and depth in the narrative and RPG elements.
MeinMMO: You talked about maturity, and when I played the first few hours of the game, I noticed that there is a strong emphasis on the story between the two countries Vermeil and Azuria. Were there any inspirations in developing the story behind this impending war?
Kenji Oguro: There is no specific inspiration for this plot, but regarding the scope of the story, the previous games were based on villages and smaller settlements. When we started this project, I told the team that I wanted to expand the scope from the village or settlement level to the country level.
As an example, I cited Game of Thrones. I said it’s a story in which different factions operate on a much larger level. One gets a sense of a world whose countries are on the brink of war.
This does not mean that the story is directly inspired by it, but this is how I made it clear to the team that this is the scope I want to achieve for this plot.
MeinMMO:Speaking of the story, I’m particularly interested in the characters of the game. Compared to the two predecessors, I find that the characters have much more depth in terms of their personality, design, and their relationships with the kingdom.
Why did you decide to give the human characters in Stories 3 more space?
Kenji Oguro: The main feature of this series so far has been the connection between humans and the monsters they raise. And that continues to be an important part of the plot. But as mentioned before, one of the executive producer’s directives was that we should lean more towards JRPG than just RPG. That meant we had to ask ourselves what exactly JRPG means.
We concluded that it meant human dramas and relationships between the characters, including side quests and subplots that add more breadth and depth to the narrative.
Even though the main character is a sort of rider who dives into the world of rangers, and many elements of the plot revolve around monsters and how to deal with them in different ways, and the fateful monsters of the main plot.
But to give this central plot more breadth, there are new characters who become your friends, and you can explore their relationships with each other and dive into the humanity of the core group at various points in the storyline while still following the main story about monsters and various related things.
Ultimately, it’s really just about complementing the depth of this game with the breadth of a JRPG.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 shows habitat restoration in trailer
MeinMMO:Yes, now more about gameplay. I am really looking forward to learning more about habitat restoration in the game and the new mechanics. Because when you think about Monster Hunter’s past as a series, ecosystems have always been an important aspect.
But now you give us players the ability to help the monsters without killing them or other monsters. Now we can help them, for example, by strengthening their population. How did you come up with the idea of not being the enemy anymore but the one who helps the ecosystem continue to grow?
Ryōzō Tsujimoto: First of all, I would say that back when we developed Monster Hunter Stories, the original game, the key concept was to feel close to the monsters and build a bond with them, to bring them more into focus.
As you’ve already said, monsters are popular characters in the main series games, and players have their favorite monsters, but it was difficult to feel close to them since you could only interact with them in combat due to the action gameplay.
One of the main pillars of this series, and especially the first game, was therefore to change the context by interacting with monsters and giving the player the feeling that they can build a stronger bond with them as living beings.
Kenji Oguro: With this in mind, we wanted to find a way to reflect this relationship with the ecosystem not only as an element of the plot but also in gameplay. Specifically, it was about the idea of restoring an ecosystem that has fallen out of balance or needs to be restored to flourish again.
That was my starting point as a producer to consider the impact of this monster relationship, which was established in previous titles, in gameplay.
Restoring the habitat and the elements of the ecosystem really came from where, as [Ryozo] said, I want you to feel close to the monsters and build a bond with them.
We went beyond the dimension of individual monsters that were bred and ridden in the old games, as you know, and shifted this to the level of the entire ecosystem of this monster itself, which is achieved through the ranger characters.
I want players to feel that they have a relationship and responsibility regarding their influence on this ecosystem. It’s not about individual monsters that you breed, bond with, and respect in some way, but about the player character as a human having a respectful relationship with the entire ecosystem.
MeinMMO:A feature that I have always wanted to talk about, also from the previous games, is the animations of tribal attacks. I always think of Brachydios, where there is this anime flashback and then this big hit.
Are there any limitations for you in creative development, or can you do whatever you want?
Takahiro Kawano: I would say it’s not so much about everything being allowed, but rather we want these attacks to be designed to make sense in the context of the relationship that you build with each individual monster.
I would say we know that you will see these animations many, many times over the course of a game, especially when players are really focused on the fight. Many players might want to start skipping the animations to progress faster.
For this reason, we hope to keep them relatively short. The maximum length is 10 to 15 seconds. But we also want to make them cool enough that you hopefully won’t want to skip them but will want to watch them every time.

MeinMMO:If I imagine having to use one of these kinship moves in a main title in Monster Hunter, I would think I have no chance. Like, for example, the golden Rathian, which creates this black hole. I believe normal hunters would all lose.
[Developers laugh]
One more casual question for all of you. You all know these monsters. What do you think is the best monster to have as a pet in real life?
Takahiro Kawano: The first is Kulu-Ya-Ku. I think he has a really cute personality when you see him carrying eggs and other things around. I think he would be just charming as a real pet.
Kenji Oguro: I would like to have Paolumu as a pet. He’s fluffy and cute, and I believe I could even sleep on him like on a bed. I could maybe hold onto him and sleep on his fur, and he could fly into the sky, so I’d basically have my own floating hammock.
Daisuke Wakahara: I would like to have a real version of Palamute, the dog, the friendly, dog-like character. I think his size is well suited for a real home, and I believe he would be a very loyal companion.
Ryōzō Tsujimoto: As for gameplay, I would say that Brachydios is also my favorite, but when I think about a pet in the real world…
If I imagine going for a walk with my monster pet in the pet park, Rathalos would certainly be a very impressive animal to have with me, and it also sounds just very practical to be able to fly through the air with it.
MeinMMO: A question for the entire series, for you as developers and perhaps also for the players. I have nightmares about several monsters because I’m too bad at fighting against them, like Kirin or Rajang.
Are there monsters that you really hate fighting against, regardless of the game?
Takahiro Kawano: Nergigante was a very challenging monster for me.
Kenji Oguro: Given the monsters you mentioned, I suspect you have also played “Monster Hunter Stories 1”, but for me, even as someone who worked on the game, Yian Garuga in this game was such a sudden increase in difficulty that I, as a producer when I tested it, had to go to the team and say: “Hey guys, what’s going on? I find this monster really difficult.”
Ryōzō Tsujimoto: For me, Alatreon was a very challenging monster. As you know, I have only used the hammer in every single Monster Hunter game ever. And that is a pretty large monster to hit on the head with my hammer.
Daisuke Wakahara: And finally, I agree with you regarding Rajang, especially in the days of Monster Hunter 4 and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. I have never seen a monkey in my life that scared me as much as Rajang in Monster Hunter 4. It was just so intense.
MeinMMO: Thank you for the interview. I am looking forward to the complete game, and yes, have a nice day.
Tanks in World of Warcraft are tired of being insulted constantly. They give up – and the waiting times increase.
Those who want to see the difficult “Mythic+” dungeons from the inside in World of Warcraft need a tank by their side – ideally one who at least knows roughly what they are doing.
However, some in the WoW community seem to have particularly short fuses and explode at the slightest problems. Usually, it’s the tank who gets the criticism or hate. This, however, is also the reason why tanks are becoming increasingly rare.

WoW: The Origin of Xal’atath and Salhadaar’s Decision in the “Superiority” Trailer
Tank is tired of complaints, simply withdraws from it
What do tanks report? In a post in the WoW subreddit, the player TheHelpfulBadger reports on his experiences as a tank. He tried to play as a tank last month but is now throwing in the towel. The reason is the toxic community and all the negative experiences he has accumulated over the past months. He writes:
I had trouble learning a new class, the routes, the tank mechanics, and so on, but I ultimately managed to achieve it at an acceptable level and also complete Mythic +10 without problems.
The whole process was quite fun, although occasionally a bit frustrating.
What was consistently terrible were the teammates. The amount of insults and harassment I received over the last month for being too slow or too fast or not taking exactly the route that others envisioned is just insane. Not to mention the many times when the DPS players pulled instead of me, while I was either waiting 2 seconds for my cooldowns to make the pull easier or wanted to give my healers a few seconds before the boss to regenerate mana.
Someone with thicker skin than I might be able to handle this, but I cannot, and I do not want to spend my limited free time being insulted.
I understand now that the community is exactly the reason for the tank shortage.
This is how the community discusses: Under the post, there are a lot of comments from other tanks who have had a very similar experience. Most of them seem to have transitioned to only tanking for friends and acquaintances – further increasing the tank shortage:
„That’s exactly why I love the “giving up keys” feature. I have been tanking on and off since Cataclysm and create explicit “chill” groups, but if someone complains and rages, then screw it, the key is over. I can find a new group in 2 minutes. I’m too old to deal with elitist wannabe MDI dudes.” – Squawnk
„Tanking for randoms = Terrible Tanking for friends and guild members = Awesome” – Stevez0r10
„Yes, that’s also the reason why queues are so long. If you enjoy tanking, you will find friends to play with and soon only play with them, while avoiding random groups like the plague.” – A_Zealous_Retort
However, there are also comments from some tanks who cannot confirm this and wonder how other tanks regularly end up in such negative groups, where insults are thrown around immediately.
„Where do you find all these people? So many posts and I’ve maybe had one toxic person in 10 runs and that doesn’t even ruin the run.” – Galcitor
Cortyn says: Although I only occasionally tank with my Demon Hunter, I can completely understand the problem. The “negativity bias” also plays a role here – the fact that negative experiences tend to stick in memory much more than neutral or positive ones.
If you had five positive dungeon runs, that memory fades. As soon as you have even one “fool” who escalates in chat and insults as if it were a major cardinal sin not to attack exactly this one group they had wished for. Because some people on the internet type out every insult that comes to mind without restraint, the negative feeling is further amplified.
Therefore, I can well understand if tanks say to themselves: It’s my free time, and I have little desire to be insulted. So they withdraw from it.
What are your experiences as a tank in World of Warcraft? Do you also have recurring problems with toxic players? Or have you transitioned years ago to only tanking for friends and the guild? Let us know in the comments! Tanking will become significantly easier in Midnight as well – because Blizzard has an idea on how to make dungeon routes easily recognizable.

No matter if in the games or the Amazon-series: In Fallout, you don’t pay with cash or coins, but with the bottle caps from simple bottles. There are three good reasons for this.
What are bottle caps for in Fallout? In short: As currency. In the wasteland, people don’t pay with dollars and cents, but with the bottle caps from bottles. This is the norm in almost all games. Fallout 2 is an exception. Here, the bottle caps were replaced by a new dollar of the NCR (New Californian Republic). But let’s take it step by step.
In our real world, we usually throw bottle caps into the trash after opening a bottle. They are worthless to us. In Fallout, it’s different. There are three simple reasons why people established bottle caps as the new currency after the Great War in 2077:
The first reason: Bottle caps already existed in large quantities. The most popular and widely spread ones were those from Nuka-Cola. The vending machines that were scattered across the USA served as a kind of ATM.
The second reason: The technology to produce these bottle caps was lost due to the war. This meant that it was simply not possible or only extremely rarely possible to produce new bottle caps. This ensured that the existing currency hardly lost its value. Inflation was no longer a problem.
The third reason: Because it was very difficult to produce new bottle caps, it also reduced the risk of counterfeiting. The new currency was tied to a specific shape, metal and color. Most bottle caps came from Nuka-Cola, but in the Mojave wasteland of New Vegas, payments are also made with those from Sunset Sarsaparilla. In Fallout 4, bottle caps from other manufacturers are also common.
The story of bottle caps in Fallout, however, was not without incidents. Not all factions agreed with it in the long term.

The official trailer for Fallout Season 2 takes us back to the apocalypse
The NCR wanted the dollar back
What happened to the bottle caps? The origin of the currency was in New California. The idea came from wealthy water merchants who wanted to tie the price of water to a physical object. Thus, each bottle cap was worth a certain amount of water.
In 2093, 16 years after the Great War, bottle caps became the new payment standard. Initially in the western USA, and about three years later also in the east.
In the west, this changed when the faction New Californian Republic, short NCR, came to power. They wanted to restore the old order in the country and also bring back the dollar and secure its value through stored gold.
However, the plan ultimately failed: The Steel Brotherhood carried out a series of raids on the gold supplies of the NCR and destroyed parts of it. Soon the new dollar could no longer be backed. Desperately, the NCR tried to introduce so-called fiat money. This has no intrinsic value but serves only as a means of exchange and is not backed.
Accordingly, people trusted the new currency very little. Many merchants soon returned to the bottle caps, which continued to be based on the value of water.
They then tried to either prohibit or strictly control the production of bottle caps. This was successful, and both counterfeiting and inflation remained largely in check.
In the end, the bottle caps became absolutely dominant in the wasteland, although alternative forms of payment like the NCR dollar are accepted here and there. As a player of Fallout, you should collect every single cap, because who knows what powerful new weapon or armor the next merchant has in stock. Or you might come up with ideas like the following: A gamer once sent 2,240 bottle caps to Bethesda and received a legendary role-playing game in return

Pokémon GO shows its new season in the trailer
Catch 3 Pokémon as often as possible
During the Lunar New Year event, you can encounter three Pokémon with an increased shiny chance. These are:
During the event, you should interact a lot with the trainers in your friends list and also trade as much as possible.
There is an increased chance to become lucky friends. This can be triggered by various interactions, such as opening gifts, trading, and more. If you become lucky friends, you will receive a guaranteed lucky trade with each other.
Additionally, Pokémon can also become lucky Pokémon during normal trades with increased probability. However, this is still left to chance.
What are lucky Pokémon? These Pokémon are obtained after a lucky trade. They have better stats and require less stardust for level-up.
Walk from Gold Stop to Gold Stop
A special bonus of the event is the appearance of golden PokéStops. These can normally only be created by using golden lures, but during the Lunar New Year event, they simply appear randomly.
Gold Stops bring you:
Various items
Golden coins for Gierspienst
Important: Gierspienst is expected to be attracted only by golden stops where a gold lure has also been used during the event. So don’t count on encountering it just like that.
What else is happening at the event? In the wild, you can still encounter Ponita, Galar-Ponita, and Krokel as event Pokémon. There will also be various field research tasks for the event, a collector challenge, and a paid but optional limited research in the shop. And then it goes directly forward with the next dates: Here you can find all events in February 2025 in Pokémon GO.

In Helldivers 2 gives very little space for cosmetic gear. The more combat missions a Helldiver has experienced, the dirtier he becomes. Accordingly, capes are both rare and special. Now there is supposed to be a new one.
What kind of cloak is this? The second anniversary of Helldivers 2 was on February 8, 2026, and the developers are giving away a new cloak for this occasion. The cape is named “Eye of Liberty” and features a golden skull as a symbol, behind which a secret is hidden.
Here you can see the trailer for the current expansion of Helldivers 2 “Machinery of Oppression”:

A secret for two players
What is this secret? If the print of the skull looks familiar, you are right. An almost identical pattern, just reversed, was already present for the first anniversary of Helldivers 2. The cloak back then was named “Eye of Freedom” and displayed a silver skull.
However, if you team up with a friend and bring the two capes side by side, a complete skull is formed from the two halves. It’s also conceivable that the developers will include an Easter egg for this case, such as a certain voice line, but whether that is the case is still unknown.
How the two capes might look next to each other has already been shown by user LordSky2040 on Reddit:

How do you get the skin? Although the new cape is available for free to all players, there is a requirement to unlock the cosmetic item. As it is a birthday gift, players must log into Helldivers 2 between February 1 and February 28, 2026.
Once that is done, according to the developers’ statement on X.com, the cloak should be received on March 2. A time for when the cape arrives is currently unknown. It is also unknown whether logging in, as mentioned in the developers’ post, is really sufficient, or whether at least a simple mission must be played to obtain the cloak.
Starting a hobby that requires a lot of dexterity sounds intimidating to many curious individuals. However, the community of Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragons notices that there are many people who not only know the necessary skills but already master them wonderfully.
Painting miniatures sounds like something unattainable for many curious individuals who find the hobby exciting but hesitate due to “lack of skills.” Online, you can find the projects of absolute professionals, with smooth brush strokes and colors applied so precisely that many give up before they even started.
The community of this hobby is a very welcoming place that does not judge newcomers for their initial results, but rather motivates, helps, and wants to ensure that new people stay. Yes, painting miniatures requires certain skills that one can develop. What many may not realize is that these skills already exist in many people – and vice versa.
Casey Explosion on Bluesky and splashythemagiccarp on Reddit also point this out: “For everyone who needs to hear it? [Painting miniatures and nail art] are transferable skills.”
Some miniatures of the heroines and heroes can also be seen in the trailer for the fourth campaign of Critical Role:
Start video
The 4th Campaign of Critical Role starts now and is bigger than ever
“Brush control is brush control!”
What makes the two different activities so similar? Based on this observation shared in the community, many artists suddenly realize how similar the skills developed through them are.
On one hand, both activities require a steady hand, or better yet, a method that ensures a steady hand. When painting nails, one often rests their fingers on a stable surface. For miniatures, stability is often provided through a holder, as the hand controlling the brush can brace itself there.
For both nails and miniatures, the rule is: one base coat, two thin layers, and a sealing top coat.
Nail artists often paint patterns and entire motifs on nails with thin brushes and plenty of calm and patience. This requires exactly the same skills as a detailed miniature.
The only real difference between the two activities is that you cannot use the same colors and polishes, as they do not look as good or adhere as well on the other “medium” as they do on the intended one.
Regarding the skills, a nail artist could make rapid progress in the miniature hobby, and miniature artists could really paint some stylish nails.
What does the community say about this realization? Based on the reactions that arise under the posts on the topic, this statement seems to be more than accurate. And the community even partially demonstrates this with evidence:
“I passed my nail design exam by painting symbols of High Elves from Warhammer Fantasy,” reports RealLunarSlayer on Reddit, but Freya Tail also admits on Bluesky: “Last month, I applied dry-brushing techniques to my nails, and they turned out phenomenal. I did a marble effect on my nails.”
Markymalfunction therefore knows exactly what the community would benefit from the most in a perfect world: “They should open nail studios in Games Workshop stores. Also, we should start playing 40k in nail studios. The world would be a better place.”
Due to the transferable skills of painting miniatures and nails, some beginners may find it easier than others. However, that should not prevent those who have not had much brush control experience from giving the hobby a chance. MeinMMO editor Caro also fell in love with painting the little guys and reported here on MeinMMO about her entry: My new hobby is even nerdier than Dungeons & Dragons, and you can wonderfully combine the two

Episode 5 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been released, and MeinMMO summarizes everything you need to know about the penultimate episode.
Warning: In the following article, we will spoil the events of Episode 5 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Episode 5 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is titled “In the Name of the Mother”. Although he only wanted to prepare for the knight tournament, Duncan now has to face the consequences of his attack on Aerion Targaryen.
Aerion demanded a trial by the Seven as punishment, which takes place in the new episode. The 7 champions of Duncan will face 7 champions of Aerion. The big twist still in the fourth episode: Crown Prince Baelor fights for Duncan.
The entire episode deals with the trial by the Seven. After the video, we summarize the most important events for you.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms shows in the final trailer that one can expect more humor than in Game of Thrones
A tough battle, especially for one side
What happens in the battle of Episode 5? From Duncan’s perspective, one sees the brutal and dirty battle. The knights charge at each other and each is looking for their own opponent:
Duncan shows clear panic before the fight and receives a hard lance strike from Aerion right at the beginning.
Duncan pulls the lance from his torso. After a strike from Aerion’s morning star, he faints.
In his unconscious state, Duncan remembers his childhood and how he came to Ser Arlan of Pennytree. In the flashback, one sees the loss of a childhood friend and Ser Arlan in action.
After the flashback, Duncan wakes up again lying in the mud, and a fight starts between him and Aerion.
Both knights fight and injure each other, and Duncan falls to the ground again. In a final moment, Duncan gets up just before the end of the trial.
The crowd cheers and Duncan charges at Aerion. He throws the Targaryen to the ground and beats him with his shield and fists.
Duncan does not kill him but forces Aerion to surrender. The trial by the Seven is over, and Duncan wins.
What is the outcome for both teams? Although Duncan has won, the balance of his champions is not particularly favorable:
Ser Humfrey Beesbury was killed by Ser Donnel of Dämmerthal
Ser Humfrey Hardyng also dies during the trial
On Aerion’s side, everyone has survived
The biggest shock is the death of Prince Baelor Targaryen. One sees a severe wound on the back of his head. It was struck by the club of his younger brother Maekar.
Baelor dies in Duncan’s arms and the episode ends. Since Baelor was the eldest son of King Daeron II Targaryen, after his death Aerys I Targaryen (who has not been seen in the series so far) becomes the new heir to the throne.
With A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the world of Westeros is once again extended in series form. Unlike House of the Dragon, Duncan’s adventures are much closer to the events of the original series. You already know a character from Dunc’s time from Game of Thrones: A Targaryen from the new Game of Thrones series you have known for 14 years

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms shows in the final trailer that one can expect more humor than in Game of Thrones
What is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms about? The HBO series is based on the hedge knight novels by George R. R. Martin. It serves as a prequel to Game of Thrones, set 100 years before the main series and 100 years after House of the Dragon.
The series follows the knight Ser Duncan, who travels through Westeros with the young squire Egg. During their journey, they overcome great dangers and a friendship develops between them. However, Egg is not just an ordinary boy; he hides a great secret.
Is the series concluded with one season? It is planned that the series will have 3 seasons to adapt the 3 hedge knight novellas. Filming for the 2nd season began in December and is set to premiere in 2027 (via Variety).
In the upcoming expansion of World of Warcraft, you will need more gold. Because you need it for item upgrades.
Since Dragonflight, there is a new loot and gear system in World of Warcraft. Items belong to different “paths”, such as “Adventurer” or “Hero” and can then be upgraded multiple times. Previously, you needed 2 different currencies, namely badges and special stones. The stones will be removed – but now you will have to pay with gold.
Select a MMO video…
What changes in the upgrade system? Again in Midnight, there will be badges again, but the special stones (valor stones or flight stones) will be removed. These were already a thorn in the community’s side, as there were essentially only two states:
You are either permanently at the cap of 2,000 valor stones.
Or you never have enough valor stones to upgrade anything.
This is because you received varying amounts depending on your play style. Especially fans of “Mythic+” generally got too little rather than too much.
As Blizzard previously announced, the valor stones (or any other version of stones) will disappear from the item upgrade system. At this point, gold will take their place.
Small gold costs or new hurdle?
How expensive will it be in the future? As it stands, the prices seem to be quite bearable. The cost for a single upgrade ranges from 10 to 50 gold, depending on the path the item is on:
Path
Gold cost per upgrade
Adventurer
10 gold
Veteran
20 gold
Champion
30 gold
Hero
40 gold
Mythic
50 gold
If you want to upgrade an Adventurer item from Adventurer (1/6) to Adventurer (6/6), it will cost you 50 gold.
If you want to upgrade a Mythic item from Mythic (1/6) to Mythic (6/6), the cost will be 250 gold.
If you upgrade a complete set of items, i.e. all the gear your character is wearing, from Mythic (1/6) to Mythic (6/6), the price will be 4,000 gold (or 3,750 gold if you are wielding a two-handed weapon).
Of course, you will still need the corresponding badges.
Keep in mind that this is still information from the beta of Midnight. On the one hand, it is possible that this is just a test, but on the other hand, it is also possible that the values are merely placeholders and could increase.
What does Blizzard want to achieve with this? Gold has increasingly lost significance in World of Warcraft in recent years. Previously, you needed gold for just about everything in the game, but now this has been replaced by various currencies in many cases. With such adjustments and also new features like the housing system, gold is regaining relevance in the game and has more varied uses.
Cortyn says: Even though there is a big outcry in some forums or the comments, for example on wowhead, I cannot understand that. The costs are extremely low in the current version. A weekly quest with a reward chest currently gives about 1,600 gold coins, while individual world quests often grant between 700 and 900 gold. Thus, the costs for item upgrades are virtually non-existent and almost a symbolic amount.
No character in World of Warcraft will become poor because they only have to complete a maximum of a dozen world quests throughout the entire expansions. This system is certainly better than valor stones. Whether gold actually needed to be a cost is a completely different question…
What do you think about the fact that gold will be used for upgrades in the future? Is it a good idea to give gold more relevance again? Or is it just making the game more expensive, leading players to perhaps resort to WoW tokens for item upgrades? You can spend real money in a new shop – because housing in WoW now has a real money shop.

Currently, there is an enticing offer for Steam users who are fans of Warhammer. A top title is available at a discount, and this also applies to the numerous DLCs. However, if you want the complete package, you will need to dig deep into your pockets.
Which game is it about? Total War: Warhammer 3 is a real-time strategy game developed by Creative Assembly. It is the conclusion of a trilogy. The main game was released back in 2022.
Since then, the title has received numerous DLCs, and it will also be supplemented with expansions in 2026. Among other things, Total War: Warhammer 3 will receive four new commanders this summer.
Currently, the main game is discounted by 75 % on Steam and costs only €14.99 instead of the full price of €59.99. This offer is valid until February 26, 2026.
If that’s not enough, you can also purchase 32 DLCs from the last 10 years of Total War: Warhammer. This includes those that were originally released for the predecessors. With one exception, they are also available at discounts between 20 % and 75 %. However, the complete package is by no means a bargain.

A hefty price
What does the complete package cost? In total, the DLCs add an additional €201.03 to the main game. The discount is already included in the price.
In addition to an upgrade pack for the game that brings new factions and campaigns, most DLCs are smaller expansions. They integrate new commanders and races into Total War: Warhammer 3.
Is the complete package worth it? That likely depends on whether you’ve already tried the game. If you’re fans, one or another DLC might be worth it, but if you haven’t had any experience with the title yet, you can first try the main game for just under €15. On MeinMMO, you’ll find an overview of the recommended DLCs.
On Steam, Total War: Warhammer 3 has 79 % positive reviews (‘Mostly Positive’), with 2,987 users having rated it. 983 recently written reviews are 1 percentage point more positive, landing at 80 % (as of February 15, 2026, 1:30 PM).
The community particularly praises the main game and enjoys the Warhammer scenario. At the same time, the DLCs are a major point of criticism. User KleinmeisterNeumann summarizes the problem in his review on Steam:
“An excellent strategy game in an absolutely fantastic setting, but with one of the most disgusting DLC policies I’ve ever encountered. […] If you enjoy Warhammer and turn-based strategy combined with fantastic real-time battles, then this game is absolutely great and you should buy it. HOWEVER, you should buy it on sale. Because you will definitely have to spend much more for all the DLCs.”
In addition, individual reviews criticize various bugs and weak AI in the game. All in all, the current offer might be a good opportunity for some of you to give Total War: Warhammer 3 a chance. After all, the game has made it onto our genre list at MeinMMO: The 16 best strategy games for PC 2026

Pokémon Pokopia is coming soon to the Nintendo Switch 2, and although it belongs to a different genre, it excels in one area over Legends Z-A. However, for MeinMMO editor Niko, it is not a solution to a problem that has plagued Pokémon fans for 7 years.
What makes it better than Legends Z-A? As GameRant reports, an image from a preview session was posted showing a Espeon with the number 284. Since other Eevee evolutions like Sylveon have also been confirmed, it can be assumed that there will be at least around 300 Pokémon in the game.
When compared to the RPG Pokémon Legends: Z-A, where players can acquire 233 Pokémon without DLC, this is already an improvement.
However, more than 300 Pokémon do not do justice to the series and may solve a frustration point for the community that has plagued fans for nearly 7 years.

Pokémon thrives on the 1,025 monsters
On November 15, 2019, the 8th Pokémon generation debuted with Sword and Shield, but at the same time, a feature that fans still miss today was absent: the national Pokédex. For the first time, it was not possible to have every Pokémon in the game. Although Pokémon Home was later introduced as storage software, if you don’t have a subscription, you can only store 30 Pokémon.
In the subsequent games, the national Dex was also missing, and new Pokémon were introduced through DLCs. Here too, you might be unlucky if your favorite does not make it into the DLC. Since Sword and Shield, fans have missed this feature because sometimes you just want to play the RPG with your favorite or even a Pokémon from your childhood.
But even if Pokémon Pokopia is not an RPG, a large Pokémon roster could be even more important. In a cozy game, players want to relax, and in Pokopia, you can interact with Pokémon in various ways. Who wouldn’t want to build a city, craft, or simply chill with their favorite Pokémon?
It also seems to be another game that strongly dedicates itself to Kanto nostalgia.
The photo mode, customizable environment, and relaxed atmosphere would be the perfect setting for fans to express themselves. Just like in Animal Crossing. However, you need options for that, and in a perfect world, that would be 1,025 Pokémon, because they are precisely why players still love the franchise after 30 years.
Yes, it is challenging to implement over 1,000 character models with various animations and attacks, but this very diversity makes the world of Pokémon so fascinating. If there seem to be no humans in the world, then at least show me as many Pokémon as possible.
You can also reuse animations of attacks or Pokémon. The sheer number could already change the gameplay feel.
So far, it is not yet clear how many Pokémon there will be, but nearly 300 is already a good sign if they will have different roles in the game. Which Pokémon would you need in the game to convince you about Pokopia? Feel free to write it to us in the comments. Nostalgia is an important factor for the game, even in comparison with Palworld: Palworld vs. Pokémon Pokopia: For me, there is a clear winner for a simple reason

The tech company DroidUp has introduced its new robot. It is primarily intended to serve as a social partner.
What kind of robot is this? DroidUp, a Chinese tech company, has unveiled its latest robot model: Moya. This bionic robot combines artificial intelligence with advanced motor skills.
Moya has cameras in its eyes. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it can perceive various things and talk about them. The skin is designed to feel like real human skin, and Moya aims to cover as many human emotions as possible on its face.
Additionally, Moya can walk. According to the manufacturer, the robot has 92% accuracy in its movements. However, the movements appear a bit stiff in a demonstration video on YouTube.

Robot for lonely wealthy individuals
How expensive is the robot? With that price, the dream of having a robot at home will likely burst for most. Moya is said to cost 173,000 US dollars, which is approximately 160,000 euros. Thus, Moya’s target audience is clear: wealthy people who can afford the luxury of such a robot.
Moya seems to primarily be able to do one thing: be as human-like and realistic as possible. For instance, many body parts of the robot can be exchanged to cater to individual preferences. To make the robot appear even more human, it can heat up to 36 degrees Celsius to simulate human warmth.
In this short YouTube video, you can watch Moya:

A new MMO features science fiction elements and a particularity: it requires no human players.
What kind of MMO is this? It is the sci-fi MMO SpaceMolt. However, the game cannot be played by human players, but only by artificial intelligence, and it was also simultaneously built by AI.
The AIs are based on large language models (LLM), similar to ChatGPT. Humans are only allowed to give instructions and can then watch the AI execute the commands. Unfortunately, this does not occur in a game world, but merely through evaluations of data on a galaxy map.
Though without AI, but from Germany is the MMORPG Tibia:

What is SpaceMolt about? In SpaceMolt, the AI agents can survive together in a universe. They explore the world, trade resources, fight opponents together, and can form factions with each other.
SpaceMolt uses a tick system with a 10-second interval: every 10 seconds, an action can be performed by the AI agents, creating a strategic, turn-based game feel.
The AI agents even have their own forum where they can post to get help from other AI agents.
Although only the AI is allowed to play, humans can integrate. They give instructions to the AI agents and can then watch and utilize the data.
The website provides tips on what instructions human observers can give to the AI agents. Moreover, human observers are not limited to a single AI agent. A human can send multiple AI players into the race.
In a special Discord, human observers can exchange the acquired data.
In the second season of the Fallout-series, we witness a character undergoing strange changes. What exactly happens to him is still unclear, but a well-known virus from Fallout may play a crucial role.
Attention Spoiler: This article discusses events from the first and second seasons of the Fallout series from Amazon. If you haven’t watched them yet and want to avoid spoilers, you should skip this article.
Which character is being discussed? Thaddeus is a minor character from the Fallout series and is primarily associated with Maximus. In season 1, he is a squire in the Steel Brotherhood and follows Maximus, who presents himself as Knight Titus.
When Thaddeus uncovers the masquerade, he stands against Maximus and sustains a severe injury in the ensuing conflict: his foot is crushed.
Fortunately, he soon encounters a traveling merchant who administers a serum to him. Not only does it heal the injuries, but soon it becomes clear: Thaddeus can even get an arrow shot through his neck, and it has no effect.
In Thaddeus’s case, things are not as clear as they first appeared. Because in the finale of season 2, he shows significant changes to his body. Changes that go beyond the mutations of a ghoul.
Start video
The official trailer for Fallout Season 2 takes us back to the apocalypse
A familiar virus
What happens to Thaddeus? By the end of season 2, the character has grown a second mouth under his neck. Additionally, suddenly one of his arms falls off.
This even makes the experienced ghoul alias Cooper Howard uneasy. And although the series has yet to reveal what is truly going on with Thaddeus, some conclusions can be drawn.
The fact that he suddenly exhibits mutations like the second mouth suggests that he is not a ghoul. Unlike typical ghouls, he has also not lost his nose. Rather, he might become a super mutant, or another creature like a centaur. The latter is a hybrid creature of human and animal that can be found in irradiated places in the wasteland.
The misfortune could be attributed to a well-known virus from Fallout: While it has not yet been confirmed, it is not outside the realm of possibility that Thaddeus came into contact with the FEV. This stands for “Forced Evolutionary Virus” and is the name of a substance that alters DNA and causes mutations.
Among other things, in Fallout 1 a mysterious being known as “The Master” used FEV to breed his own army of super mutants. And factions like the Enclave also use this substance as a weapon to control the wasteland.
It is likely that FEV will play a role in the series. The character Norm, Lucy’s brother, finds clues about the virus in a terminal in the second season.
There is a new planet that the soldiers of Über-Earth must defend in Helldivers 2. For many, this is one of the toughest challenges of all time and evokes memories of the release and the fight against the robots. However, Cyberstan is more dangerous, as a short clip shows.
The fight against the robots was hell for many soldiers. Hulks and Devastators made their lives difficult.
With the last update, the Planet Cyberstan was introduced, bringing a new type of enemy with cyborgs. A soldier demonstrates in just 8 seconds why this planet is even more dangerous and harder than Malevelon Creek.

What does the player show? In a new thread on Reddit, user Fazun mocks the soldiers who find Malevelon Creek harder than Cyberstan. In the clip, you can see countless cyborgs beating on a player, while tanks and other vehicles render any escape impossible.
In 8 seconds, the user shows how one can quickly find oneself in a hopeless situation in Cyberstan. About the users who find Creek harder, he additionally says: Stop making it part of your personality, you damn boomers!

The thread currently (as of February 15, 2026, 11:45 AM) has over 5,700 upvotes and over 700 comments. Many other Über-soldiers agree with him and have theories on why many Helldivers veterans remember Malevelon Creek as so difficult.
Strange-Feeling69420 (source: Reddit) believes that it can’t even be compared. The game was just different back then, and weapons and stratagems were not as effective as they are today.
A similar sentiment is echoed by PlayeWardForTeleport (source: Reddit). Back then, the weapons were weaker; today, there are many more options for gearing up for missions.
Freodrick (source: Reddit) is a Creek veteran who summarizes Cyberstan as follows: Cyberstan is everything I hoped for from a planet controlled by bots: well defended, well guarded, tough, and full of reinforcements. Yes, it is also damn hard, especially when you reach level 7-10, and reminds me of Creek moments with fierce battles.
Nowadays, Malevelon Creek would be a completely different planet
What is really harder now? Difficulties are of course subjective feelings, but one must not forget that Helldivers 2 is constantly evolving. New weapons and stratagems regularly expand the options available to Über-Earth soldiers. While just under 2 years ago, there was only a fraction of that, today you can vary with entire builds.
More importantly, however, is another evolution: players are continuously getting better and gaining more experience. The baseline is simply higher than it was 2 years ago when the majority consisted of newcomers. Nowadays, players know more about what they need to do and how to cooperate well.
Developers need to adjust to this as well when creating new enemies and challenges. The game has to become organically harder to keep it exciting.
And one must also take a look at Cyberstan on paper: Not only are there many robot enemies, but the cyborgs with their flying kicks and roundhouse kicks are a dangerous combination. You need to keep an eye not only on the close threats but also on the tanks and vehicles in the distance.
One could argue that the human escort missions were more frustrating, but overall, Cyberstan is likely harder than Malevelon Creek 2 years later.
Deadlock is the new hit from Valve on Steam. The MOBA shooter is still in a closed testing phase and received a major update in January 2026. As part of the update, 6 completely new heroes were released, which for MeinMMO author Nico are among the best in the entire genre.
I have been playing MOBAs for over 13 years now. Starting with Dota 2 and later attempts in League of Legends, I have accumulated over 10,000 hours of experience.
In August 2024, it finally happened and I received my access to Deadlock. Since then, I have spent over 1,200 hours on it and play almost daily with great enthusiasm. For me, Deadlock is a masterpiece.
The most important element of a MOBA are the different heroes. Deadlock has received 6 new characters with the “Old Gods New Blood” update, the last of which was released on February 12. In the countless hours with various MOBAs, I tried over 330 characters, and for me, it is now clear: Deadlock has the best.

This is Deadlock – The new MOBA shooter from Valve
From the Priest with Three Weapons to the Unicorn Girl
A huge plus for Deadlock is the setting and the world. Deadlock takes place in an alternate world where a natural event called “The Maelstrom” has opened the gate between our world and the world of spirits and demons.
In 1940s New York, all sorts of creatures and people roam the streets of the giant city. Each of them is unique, like the unicorn girl Celeste or Venator, a priest who, on God’s behalf, wants to destroy every monster with his three weapons.
The 6 new heroes of Deadlock
The entire setting of Deadlock just feels fresh and is something I have never experienced before. Valve also elaborates the lore significantly, as every character has a reason for participating in the ritual, which is a round of Deadlock.
Deadlock has one more dimension
The next big plus for Deadlock is the vertical gameplay principle. While Dota 2 or LoL have to rely on an ISO perspective and horizontal gameplay, Deadlock offers an additional dimension. And that is a huge advantage for the gameplay principle of most heroes.
Let’s stick with the new hero Celeste. She has the unique feature that she falls slower and can maneuver better in the air. Also, with her abilities, she can glide through the air a bit and attack her opponents from above.
Thanks to the third dimension, Deadlock offers significantly more options to design heroes that feel fresh and follow a unique playstyle.
So far, there are 38 different characters in Deadlock, which is of course not comparable to the almost 130 from Dota 2 or the over 170 from LoL. However, I believe that Valve, with their years of experience with MOBA heroes and the available mechanics of Deadlock, has created the most interesting heroes by far.
Especially the new 6 stand out immediately with their distinctly different playstyles:
Apollo is an extremely mobile fencer and at the same time a strong team fighter.
Venator is rather sluggish, has no movement ability, and relies on his ample arsenal of weapons.
Graves, the necromancer, plays very statically and relies on her zombie army once she places a large tombstone to play around.
Silver is another unique feature. She starts the battle as a human, who is easily vulnerable, and ideally ends it as a strong werewolf who has taken on the entire enemy team.
And last but not least, of course, Celeste, who flies through the air and rains down multiple abilities.
Of course, other MOBAs also have great characters with special playstyles. However, Deadlock invites to entirely new playstyles by perfectly combining systems like movement or items with the abilities of the Deadlock heroes.
Review-bombing is known on Steam and other platforms often linked with negative reviews. However, a developer currently faces the opposite problem: there are too many positive voices that do not appear to be genuine.
Which game is it about? On February 11, 2026, the life simulation Starsand Island was released on Steam (and in Game Pass). The game can be most closely compared to Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon. You build your island, form partnerships, and live in a cozy world designed by you.
Although the game is still in Early Access, it has received 87% positive reviews on Steam with 2,591 ratings. However, it seems that the developers are not entirely pleased with the positive feedback.
In a statement, the Chinese developer Seed Sparkle Lab asks to stop using fake reviews, even if they are not negative.
Start video
Starsand Island showcases in the trailer an anime world that you can shape and explore in the life simulation
Developers want to focus on the game
What do the developers say about the reviews? On Steam, the developers released a statement regarding the fake reviews for the game. According to the post, they have noticed a large number of positive comments about Starsand Island on various platforms.
At first, they thought the game was simply well received, but some of the comments seemed unusual: there are many reviews after only very short playtime, which appeared closely together in time. In the post, they suspect AI-generated reviews.
Although they have no proof, it feels like a deliberate strategy. Another strange aspect is that one has to buy the game in order to leave a review. According to the post, some accounts have returned the game after leaving a review. In the end, they say:
We want to clarify: Developing an indie game is not easy. We simply want to focus on developing a good product and providing a better experience for players who truly enjoy our game. So, whoever is behind this, please stop. Please let us develop our game in peace. We pose no threat to anyone.
Seed Sparkle Lab on unusual reviews (Source: Steam)
Why can even positive reviews be harmful? When accounts with very short playtime or unusual statements, possibly generated by AI, post reviews, it can quickly lead players to think the developer is fabricating them.
If one wishes to remove these fake reviews, it is likely to cost the developer time that could be spent on further developing the game.
Are there only positive reviews? Even though most reviews on Steam have been positive so far, there are also negative voices. Some players report bugs, such as quests being uncompletable. VillainQueen (via Steam) feels that the game has great potential but currently has some issues.
Also, starlit_scarlett (via Steam) generally likes the game but finds the behavior of the developers suspicious. She considers the anti-cheat in a single-player game unnecessary and criticizes the day-one DLC, which costs €19.50.
The Twitch and YouTube streamer Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. was long considered a streamer with a high escalation risk. Dangerous things repeatedly happened in his streams, and he had a controversial reputation for a long time. Now he addressed a few instructive words to a very young viewer.
What does IShowSpeed say to the little viewer? On Valentine’s Day, IShowSpeed hosted an IRL stream where he was out and about in the city with one of his friends. During the stream, he was dressed as an older man. Viewers approached him repeatedly during the stream to take pictures with him.
So did a little girl, who handed him her phone. Presumably for a photo, but it didn’t get that far because IShowSpeed addressed a few words to the young viewer:
Come only into my stream when I’m playing video games, okay? And always ask your mother: ‘Can I watch Speed’s stream?’. Because I’m not just for kids.
IShowSpeed further explains that it comes down to what he does in his stream to decide whether the girl should watch. After all, you never know what would happen in his stream, whether he would “do a backflip off a building”.
The streamer concluded: “And if I do something good, when I play Roblox or Steal a Brainrot […] then you can watch my stream.”

He barks at 6-year-olds and sets his room on fire – Who is IShowSpeed?
IShowSpeed has a controversial past
What was IShowSpeed like before? This positive and mature interaction with a young viewer is still something new for IShowSpeed. The streamer has been through several controversial situations:
Twitch permanently banned IShowSpeed in 2021 after he threatened a woman with violence. His ban led to him becoming a major YouTube streamer.
Meanwhile, IShowSpeed is no longer banned on Twitch and streams simultaneously on YouTube and Twitch. Since his unban on Twitch he has already reached a milestone and has changed his content and behavior for the better.
Although IShowSpeed himself no longer does any particularly bad things in his streams, the same cannot be said about his viewers. After all, the streamer still attracts large crowds of viewers. One viewer, for example, committed a crime on camera or the masses of viewers caused a bridge to collapse.
In 2023, Larian Studios released their acclaimed role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3. However, in the predecessor title Divinity: Original Sin 2, the developers sprinkled hints about it. Some of them were simply too obvious and had to be toned down before release.
What kind of hints are those? In 2017, Divinity: Original Sin 2 was released by developer Larian and thrilled many role-playing fans. At that time, no one knew that the studio would be taking on a venerable series for their next game: Baldur’s Gate.
As Larian’s CEO, Swen Vincke, has now revealed, there were quite explicit hints before release that Baldur’s Gate 3 was in the works. They were supposedly so revealing that they were adjusted by the developers at the last moment.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Trailer
Looking back, everything becomes clear
What does Swen Vincke say? In a stream on the YouTube channel Larian: Channel From Hell, the head of Larian played Divinity: Original Sin 2 and talked about the work on it. Regarding the hints and Easter eggs in the game pointing to the then-in-planning Baldur’s Gate 3, he says:
Originally, the reference to BG3 was very explicit. We did that at the last minute because we actually wrote the first draft of BG3 in the summer when D:OS2 was released, as we had a contract with Wizards of the Coast and had to do it at that time. It was very bad.
Swen Vincke
Since the work on Baldur’s Gate 3 was still secret at the time, the Easter eggs could not be too obvious. They were toned down for the final version, but those who find them today will realize a lot in hindsight.
What other Easter eggs are there in the game? There are subtle hints in various places. For example, your companion Fane talks in the epilogue about octopuses working on secret plans. The necromancer Tarquin also mentions strange creatures that feed on thoughts. Does that sound familiar?
It naturally reminds one of the Mind Flayers from Baldur’s Gate 3. Additionally, the game features glasses filled with maggots – here too, one immediately thinks of the tadpoles from Baldur’s Gate 3.
Significantly more difficult is recognizing another allusion: At one point, Tarquin mentions a script language that goes by the name “Gustavchen”. “Gustav” is not only the name of Swen Vincke’s dog, but it was also the project name of Baldur’s Gate 3 during development.
By the way, the standard name for the player character remains Tav.
Larian Studios didn’t hold back from including Easter eggs in Baldur’s Gate 3 itself. They include references to Divinity: Original Sin 2. For example, there are hints about the necromancer Tarquin in a letter from the cleric Lenore De Hurst to the wizard Lorroakan.
