InFortnite (PC, PS4, Xbox One, iOS), there are new challenges every week for quick Battle Pass progression. The challenges for week 9 are already known thanks to a leak and they seem quite easy.
In Fortnite: Battle Royale, the developers introduce 7 unique challenges each week that unlock levels on the Battle Pass quickly. This way, you can quickly access the coveted rewards like the ultimate John Wick skin.
The new challenge usually goes live on Thursday of each week, but the current challenges are likely already known due to a leak.
Taco shops, shotgun kills, and the treasure of Moisty Mire
The leaked challenges have not been officially confirmed. Therefore, this could be misinformation. Visiting various taco shops was predicted for week 8, but in the end, it turned out to be disco dance floors in week 8.
However, according to the leak, the taco shops are supposed to take place this time. In addition to the fast-food joints, the following challenges are expected for week 9:
Deal damage to enemy buildings
Search chests in Haunted Hills
Build structures
Visit different taco shops in a single match
Follow the treasure map from Moisty Mire
Get kills with the shotgun
Get kills in Lucky Landing
As you can see, the challenges this week are probably not very difficult. Structures are abundantly built and shot to pieces in every match. Tacos should be easy to find, and getting kills in Lucky Landing with the shotgun should also be quite easy.
Jumping through rings in week 10?
In search of further secrets, players have already found hints about the final challenge for week 10. Strange rings seem to be floating in the air, visible only in the drone mode of the new replay feature.

It is assumed that you need to jump through these rings to complete a challenge for the last week.
The Pokémon GO Community Day in May could bring cool monsters and rewards again. Which Pokémon are you wishing for the event?
Last weekend, the fourth Community Day in Pokémon GO took place. This monthly event was first introduced by the developers at Niantic in January 2018. The plan is to bring many trainers from the community together. Monsters with special moves and shiny forms are attracting players. Additionally, other bonuses such as extended lure modules will be activated.
Which special monster do you wish for in May 2018?
Community Day in May with starter Pokémon or prefer Pidgey?
The trainer community is now waiting, after the 4th Community Day, for an announcement from Niantic. Full of anticipation, they are already looking forward to which special monster will be introduced at the Com-Day in May. There are many possibilities for which monsters could be featured, and we want to know from you which option you would be most excited about.
To keep the survey manageable, we will summarize a few possible Com-Day monsters.
Starter Pokémon like Charmander and Squirtle would make sense. After Bulbasaur was already the selected Pokémon for the Com-Day in March and Pikachu opened the events in January, we assume that Niantic will eventually also unlock Charmander and Squirtle. Would you be excited about these monsters?
Magikarp for the Community Day? Magikarp has already played an important role in Pokémon GO in the past. It was the first shiny that Niantic unlocked in the game. Although shiny Magikarp has been in the game since March 2017, not every trainer has a shiny specimen. Your wish for the Com Day in May?
Larvitar or Machoke as important raid components. In raids, strong Machamp or Tyranitar are popular among trainers. Even as non-legendary Pokémon, they play an important role in raids and battles and could gain a lot of popularity during a Community Day.
Source: PokéWiki
Eevee at Community Day – A feast for collectors. Eevee, with its many evolutions, is already a valuable monster. It can evolve into Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon or Espeon or Umbreon. Now just imagine these shiny possibilities.
Candy frenzy with Pidgey or Rattata? Pidgey is already being farmed by EXP collectors to be part of a mass evolution session. Trainers collect Rattata to complete the medal or to go on a curious raid journey. Do you think these “small” Pokémon would be a good choice for Community Day in May?

If you do not see a survey here, please disable any plugins.
If your desired Pokémon for the 5th Community Day is not in the survey, then just write it in the comments. With so many options, we could not take every Pokémon into consideration, but we limited ourselves to those that seemed logical.
MapleStory 2 has been playable in Korea since the summer of 2015 and will “soon” find its way to Europe and North America. A closed beta for Maple Story 2 will start this May in a global version for the West. A release date should follow soon.
Cute, colorful, flashy – that is MapleStory. Both the extremely popular first part and part 2 cater to all players who are into anime, and particularly the cute chibi style.
MapleStory 2 – global version from Nexon announced
MapleStory 1 has existed since 2003 and is still very popular – especially in Asia. It took a long time for the developers to dare to create a second part, but 2015 was the year. And now the release is approaching here, which fans have long been speculating about. Until then, fans were looking for an English patch for MapleStory 2. They won’t need to do that anymore soon.
MapleStory will keep many features of the first part, but modernize everything a bit:
Instead of a side-scrolling 2D view, you will now experience the adventure in 3D
MapleStory 2 tells the backstory to the first part: Three sages maintain balance in the world when a dark power appears and spreads chaos
You choose between the classes Rogue, Magician, Warrior, and Archer. This will expand into new classes over time.
The Rogue becomes a Thief or Assassin
The Magician can become a Priest or Wizard
You can upgrade the Warrior to a Knight or Berserker
The Archer can be developed into a Heavy Gunner or Ranger
Each class has its own backstory that you will experience throughout your adventures
You build your own house and furnish it as you like
You craft your own items and outfits to personalize your hero
You explore a vast world made up of jungles, volcanic landscapes, expansive steppes, and also descend into dark dungeons
Celebrate dance parties or participate in car races
Very colorful – Here you can sign up for the closed beta
MapleStory is a cute and colorful game. Anyone who liked the first part will definitely have fun with the new game as well. However, you have to be open to anime and not expect a serious story in a dark atmosphere.
During the development of the card game GWENT, things went wrong. The developers pulled the emergency brake and decided on a new course: “Project Homecoming” aims to bring GWENT back on the right track.
When CD Projekt RED announced some time ago that they wanted to release their own collectible card game with GWENT, there was great excitement. After all, the studio was known for the Witcher series, which received praise from all sides.
GWENT also started with high expectations during the closed beta and received endless positive reviews. It was the fresh wind that the card game genre needed, which was virtually dominated by Hearthstone.
In an open letter, the GWENT development team addressed the community and admitted to some mistakes. Through the cycle of regular updates and supposed improvements to the game, they lost sight of the original vision for GWENT and forgot what made GWENT unique and fun. “Good enough” is not something that CD Projekt RED accepts.
6 months of development time to get GWENT back on track
For this reason, the developers now want to backtrack and take six months to fundamentally revise GWENT. Several goals are in focus:
GWENT becomes the battlefield: Players should feel like the leader of an army from “The Witcher.” The visual effects and buffs of the various rows should reflect this.
Upgrade of the board: The game board should be revised. There’s even consideration to completely remove one of the rows.
Revision of the coin flip: Those who draw second in GWENT have a massive advantage. This should be reduced.
Reworking player progression: Tutorial, leveling system, achievements, and a better ranking mode are planned.
Focusing on player skill: RNG elements should be reduced.
Core gamers in focus: GWENT should offer depth with distinctive gameplay.
The Witcher feeling: The world of Witcher is cruel and dark. GWENT aims to capture this more strongly.
Solo campaign: The announced single-player campaign should round it all off.
This endeavor is called “Homecoming” – the return home. They are focusing on the old strengths of GWENT and want to return to the original vision of the game.
After these six months, the release along with the single-player campaign “Thronebreaker” is expected. Whether this plan will succeed or if it will have to be discarded once again remains to be seen.
What do you think of GWENT? Have you taken a look at the game yet? Or would you rather wait for the release?

Anduin and Sylvanas are not popular among all WoW fans. This led to artworks being revised – in an absurd way.
The humor on Reddit is sometimes something quite special. Occasionally it is just a bit bizarre, sometimes hard to understand, but now and then beautiful chain reactions occur. This was the case in recent weeks after the announcement of the release date for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.
In line with the revelation of the release date, there was also a new artwork depicting Anduin Wrynn and Sylvanas Windrunner with angry expressions on a battlefield.
If WoW fans don’t like an artwork
The Redditor Rainwyrd announced that he was not a big fan of Sylvanas and therefore edited the image to include more Anduin:
Naturage on the other hand, argued that “he wasn’t a big fan of Anduin either, so he added more fans (ventilators)” – bonus points here for the image editing skill.
Finally, DiscreteChi stepped in and noted that he is generally not a big fan of wars, which is why he edited the image to have less war – it remains a landscape with a rising sun without any characters.
Sometimes it’s just nice to see how jokes on Reddit spin endlessly and take on quite absurd turns. You don’t always have to understand everything. Sometimes the ways of the internet are simply unfathomable.

The development team of Final Fantasy XIV is making an effort to make the settings and features in the game as user-friendly as possible. However, there are still some areas that need improvement.
It’s the little things we don’t really notice when they’re there, but miss when they’re gone. Here are 5 “Quality of Life” features that would definitely make daily life in FFXIV more enjoyable.
Repairing in Instances
Blessed are the Warriors of Light who have leveled all their crafters! They can repair their broken equipment not just in the middle of a dungeon, but even in the midst of a fight.
All others, however, face the problem: If their gear drops to 0% in the middle of a raid or dungeon, they have suffered considerably. It can happen to anyone.
The simplest solution to the problem would be “Request Repair,” meaning an option to ask other players to repair your gear. However, it’s also understandable why this option has not been implemented so far.
Along with, for example, teleportation costs, repair NPCs are part of the system that helps drain Gil from the game: a so-called gold sink.
If players could have their gear repaired by others, a larger amount of Gil would remain in circulation, which could ultimately be harmful to the economy of individual servers.
It would still be cool if the development team could find a solution for this, because especially after hours of wipes during progression in Omega Raids, even fully repaired armor can quickly drop to 0.
And this is especially annoying in fights like Neo Exdeath or God Kefka, which are split into two parts.
Notes on the World Map
It would be practical for new players to be able to note on the map which items, for example, NPC shops sell.
What level is their armor? Do they have potions in stock? Or do you have to go somewhere else for that?
Because, let’s be honest, the label “Merchant” for every single shop on the map is not exactly a wealth of information.
But it would also have its advantages for advanced players.
As a collector, one could then add more detailed markings on the map along with the time when a legendary gathering spot appears and disappears.
This would save players from having to use external sites like Eorzea Clock.
One could also mark spots shown on treasure maps to quickly find them again next time, etc.
It’s hard to say how much work such a feature would mean for the development team, but an option for notes or markers similar to FFXI would be really practical.
Settings for Color-Blind Players
It’s surprising why this feature is not yet in the game, especially since a visualization of sounds for deaf players has already been implemented a long time ago.
Since the reboot of the game, the development team has been trying to design the battles and the interface in such a way that a mode specifically for color-blind players would not be necessary.
Primarily, various types of indicators, also known as “Visual” or “Auditory Cues”, have been combined in combat mechanics, such as animations or sound effects that accompany the mechanics.
It’s a good approach and definitely a trend I like to see in battles, but it cannot replace a true color-blind mode.
In the official forums, there are regularly new threads with requests to revise certain features because affected players cannot distinguish the colors properly.
One example that has still not been adjusted is the fact that the brown color of the quest markers is difficult for color-blind players to see on a brown map.
Therefore, the development team should find a solution to the problem that does not involve many small adjustments.
Fewer Different Currencies
Final Fantasy XIV already has plenty of currency units, and with each patch, new ones are added.
Part of this problem has been solved with the introduction of the currency menu for the Beast Tribes.
While in the past, players had to carry around the various currencies in the form of coins, leaves, sticks, and corals, they have now disappeared from the inventory.
But there are still way too many items that remain in the inventory just so they can be handed to some NPC for useful stuff.
Every new 8-man raid brings up to 9 different items, each primal has one, each 24-man raid does as well, and there’s more.
Relic weapons in the past required several of such items per step, and it’s very likely that this trend will continue in the future.
They actively contribute to the everlasting problem of inventory shortage. A suitable menu for all these currencies would therefore be really practical.
Diverse Sorting Functions
And last but not least: While the various sorting and search functions in your own inventory and on the market board are really practical, there are still some areas in the game where they are urgently needed.
An example of this is the contact circles and Free Companies. Why is there no option to sort members alphabetically or by rank?
Especially in larger FGs and FCs, searching for a specific member whose intricate fantasy name one can never remember can become a real adventure.
Or another example: The crafting items that one could previously obtain for Allagan stones are eventually moved to the item lists of State Societies.
These lists are getting longer over time, and there’s no way to conveniently search for, say, Scheeliten. As soon as the next batch of stone items becomes available at Rowena, the list will get even longer and unwieldy.
It’s a minor issue, but one that can be quite annoying over time and seems relatively easy to fix at first glance.
All known content announced for Patch 4.3, set for late May, can be found in our post about it:
Normally, Bungie remains silent about its distant plans for Destiny 2. Now, they at least briefly broke their silence and mentioned a major Comet expansion for Destiny 2 in the fall of 2018.
Bungie is celebrating the 5th anniversary of its Gauntlet tabletop fundraising campaign in 2018. The Bungie team will compete in a tournament against 20 other gaming studios and board game fans to raise funds.
In this context, the studio is also calling on its fans to donate a certain amount for this charitable cause and is luring them with some interesting rewards. One specific reward reveals new details about the fall expansion of Destiny 2.
Guardians want to learn more about the future of Destiny 2
When will the major changes for Destiny come? When will an expansion like “The Taken King” be released?
Bungie has already partially answered some of these questions based on an updated summer roadmap. This outlines roughly how the game will continue until September 2018.
However, some additional hints about the immediate future of Destiny 2 may now come from a reward for an upcoming fundraising event by Bungie.
Charity event provides insight into future plans for Destiny 2
If one donates $50 as part of the Gauntlet tabletop fundraising event, the official donation page states that in the fall they will receive an unannounced, exclusive emblem for the next major Destiny 2 Comet release. The exact date when the emblem will be delivered is still pending.
The interesting part is: Bungie usually remains silent about everything beyond the nearest expansion (in this case, “Warmind”). They only talked about the much more exciting “The Taken King” in 2015, when the rather dull “House of Wolves” was already sealed.
For the charity event, Bungie now at least makes a small exception and already mentions the expansion after Warmind: Comet.
“Comet” expansion – what does that mean?
This listing is currently fueling ongoing debates about the future of Destiny 2. On Reddit and in social media, the meaning of the term Comet and the possible contents of the fall expansion are now being hotly debated.
Because the term Comet might still be remembered by some Guardians from the days of Destiny 1.
Everything points to a major Destiny 2 expansion in September 2018
According to leaks, large expansions for Destiny have been referred to as Comet in the past, which provide the game with substantial content and should differ significantly from the smaller DLCs.
The originally working title “Comet: Plague of Darkness” was also referred to in unofficial leaks for the large expansion planned for September 2015 for Destiny 1.
This name never actually came out, but the large expansion “The Taken King” is very close to the planned contents and theme of Comet. The release timing of “The Taken King” in September 2015 also shows clear parallels.
Another hint comes from Bungie’s previous DLC policy for Destiny 2. According to the updated roadmap, Season 4 is set to begin in September 2018. The start of a new season has always been tied to the release of an expansion in Destiny 2. It is likely that Season 4 will not be an exception.
Against this backdrop, a fall expansion in September seems very likely. The term Comet officially used by Bungie also suggests that the fall expansion could be a substantial add-on in the style of “The Taken King”.
Additionally, the fact that according to the roadmap the first truly significant changes to core components of the game are to be made with Season 4 also speaks in favor of a major expansion of Destiny 2 in September.
What do you think? Are we expecting a “Taken King” equivalent for Destiny 2 in September 2018?
Since the launch of the Legion expansion for World of Warcraft, Legendaries are considered both a blessing and a curse. This hasn’t changed in 2018 either. In this guide, you will learn how to effectively farm Legendaries.
Update: Updated for Patch 7.3.5!
At the moment, legendary items are still among the most important in the game. Although Legion is slowly coming to an end, if you still want to complete your collection or need that one Legendary to reach the next Mythic+ level, our guide will help you.
Since Patch 7.2, Legendaries are easier and more targeted to farm. The patch allows you to narrow down which Legendaries you can obtain.
Requires powerful equipment: The battle against Argus. Image source: MMOzone
Farming Legendaries – How to
With the introduction of the “Bad-Luck Protection,” Blizzard wanted to prevent players who play frequently from not receiving items they would like or even need. Behind the system is a hidden counter that describes the probability of a drop. This increases every time you complete an action where you could have obtained a legendary item but did not.
Actions include, among others, completed dungeons, emissary quests, boss kills in raids, and PvP rewards. Theoretically, a Legendary could also be contained in the completion chest of the “Training of the Withered Army.” However, since you cannot effectively farm this, it is left out here.
Antorus, the burning throne. For highest success, the right equipment is needed here.
More Orange in Your Pockets!
By completing the Emerald Nightmare, the Trial of Valor, the Night Hold, and the Tomb of Sargeras weekly in normal and heroic mode, you can expect to receive a Legendary on average every week to every two weeks. The pleasant side effect: Artifact power and titanforged items (especially the Convergence of Fate from Elisande) are still in demand since the nerf has not yet dethroned them.
Additionally, those who regularly engage in PvP or venture into (Mythic+) dungeons drastically increase their chances. Moreover, a weekly +15 offers an item with an item level of 960 as well as another chance for a Legendary in the weekly chest.
Even in the old raids of Legion, Legendaries can still drop. Here: Il’gynoth in the Emerald Nightmare.
But I Need a Specific One!
Here it gets a bit tricky. Since the Broken Shore, it’s possible to buy tokens for a special currency. From these tokens, the relinquished items can also yield legendary items. Since Patch 7.3.2, you can find the corresponding vendor, Thaumaturg Vashreen, on the lower level of the Vindikaar.
The catch: You can buy tokens for a specific equipment slot, and the “relinquished” (in English: “relinquished”) items also have a chance to produce an item from a dungeon, a raid (up to and including the Tomb of Sargeras, including T20 set pieces), or a world quest. Additionally, they can with a small chance create a Legendary. This also applies to Legendaries introduced with Patch 7.2.5.
The astral has made himself comfortable in the lower deck of the Vindikaar since its rise.
So How Does It Work?
Since the Nethershards of the Shore can only be used for lower gear now, there is a new currency for the “relinquished” armor pieces: Veiled Argunite. You receive this currency on Argus as a reward for:
specific world quests
the weekly quest “Invasion Offensive” from Illidan, for which you must clear 3 invasion points.
the weekly quest “Fueling a Cursed World” from Turalyon, for which you must loot pristine argunite from invasion points, rare enemies, and treasure chests.
completing some missions in the order hall.
killing rare elite enemies on Argus.
opening treasure chests on Argus.
Veiled Argunite is most effectively farmed by searching for and opening chests on Argus. Especially for solo players, this is the fastest and easiest method.
I Already Have Two or More Legendaries
The counter for Legendaries counts per specialization. For example, for Rogues, if you already possess two Legendaries that are only intended for the Assassination specialization (like the Footpads of the Nightstalker and the Training Shackles of the Zoldyck family), you still have the increased chance in the other two specializations.
It should be noted that items that are useful for each specialization also count for each specialization. Excluded are crafted legendary items, which do not influence the counter at all.
An excerpt from the possible Legendaries for Rogues. By the way: Rogues and Demon Hunters have the least legendary class items.
The Trick with Loot Specialization
The fact that the counter is tied to the specialization also helps generally when farming the coveted items. For example, if you have just exchanged all Argunite for tokens without success and then want to try your luck in the raid without getting a “wrong” Legendary, just change your loot specialization.
While there is still the risk that a spec-crossing item will drop, in every other case, the probability for the main specialization remains unchanged.
After right-clicking on the character portrait, you will get this view. Here you select the loot specialization.
Legendaries Easy to Buy
Since Patch 7.3.5, you also have the option to simply buy legendary items. From Arkanomant Vridiel in the Dalaran forge, you can buy a Purified Titan Essence for 1000 Awakening Essences.
The item creates a random legendary item for your current specialization and does not count towards “Bad Luck Protection” like crafted items! However, the item binds on pickup and cannot be transferred to Twinks.
The Awakening Essences are the same ones you need to upgrade legendary items to item level 1000. You receive them from the following sources:
Every boss in the Antorus raid drops essences per ID
If you already have all legendary items for your class, there’s another incentive to keep farming. Since Patch 7.3.2, players who already own all Legendaries receive tokens instead of a duplicate item.
These tokens are account-bound and can also be sent to your Twinks. When used, they create a random legendary item for a specific class.
Since purchased Legendaries do not increase the counter, you can also receive these tokens a bit earlier. If your next Legendary item is about to drop soon and you only have a nearly complete collection, it’s worth it to simply buy the last pieces.
The next time a legendary item should normally drop or you buy a Purified Titan Essence, you will definitely receive an account-bound class token!
With these strategies, while you can’t specifically determine which Legendaries you receive, you can at least narrow down the amount from which chance decides. This makes the road to the goal significantly shorter.
What about you? Have you had luck with the items, or do you curse them? Share in the comments!
The Port-a-Fort is the new hit in Fortnite: Battle Royale and a perfect item for defense, right? In fact, there is much more you can do with the Port-a-Fort, as the following videos show.
Many players feared that the Port-a-Fort might be too powerful – after all, it provides an all-round protection against enemies with the press of a button – high ground included. It’s not that simple, though.
The Port-a-Fort has two disadvantages in Fortnite:
After all, the fort is not indestructible: The fort is made of metal, which makes it vulnerable after construction starts. Metal takes a while in Fortnite to reach maximum hit points and be stable.
The Port-a-Fort is also very rare. However, those lucky enough to find one should take it with them – it is suitable for many tactical tricks and play variations.
How to use the Port-a-Fort in Fortnite
Let’s start with the standard tactic. You are being shot at and throw a Port-a-Fort in front of you to be protected. So far, so normal:
The Port-a-Fort is extremely handy. With tires on the ground, you can land on your fort, and a door is automatically constructed as well. From above, you have a good view, and thanks to the sloped design, you are well protected.
The well-known streamer Ninja has also found a good use case for the Port-a-Fort – including a preceding rocket ride:
The Port-a-Fort is also great for trapping opponents. While there is a door at the base of the tower, this can still become a deadly trap in a hectic situation, as the following video vividly illustrates:
For many players, the best use for a Port-a-Fort is to negate fall damage. Thrown at the right moment, you can use the tires on the ground to cushion your fall, as you can see in the following video:

Have you ever wondered what four stacked Port-a-Forts look like in the new replay system? Well, now you probably do, which is why we have the answer for you:
Interestingly, the Port-a-Fort even works inside buildings. Is someone holed up in a house? Use the Port-a-Fort for maximum confusion! The kicker – the thrower of the grenade has full control over all components and can use this to their advantage:

If you want to feel like a true hero, the Warfronts will be just what you are looking for. In the next addon for World of Warcraft, Battle for Azeroth, these PvE events promise to put you in the spotlight as commanders.
The Warfronts are one of the key features of the new WoW addon Battle for Azeroth. Alongside Island Expeditions, they are the second novelty aimed at expanding endgame content.
Warfronts in WoW serve as a counterpart to the Expeditions. While you explore unknown territories with a small squad on the islands, you fight massive battles with up to 20 players – or entirely alone as the shining hero of the army.
The locations of the new feature are key positions in Azeroth, where one faction establishes itself while the other tries to take it over. Warfronts are PvE events in which up to 20 players can participate simultaneously.
A Warfront becomes available for the faction as soon as it has gathered enough resources to attack a position. Players invest these resources in various buildings, similar to what is done on the Broken Shore, which then provide bonuses for a limited time.
Once a Warfront is opened, players of the corresponding faction can participate for one week. According to the developers, initiating a Warfront is already as good as winning it.
The first Warfront to be available in Battle for Azeroth is Stromgarde Keep in Arathi Highlands. It will initially be held by the Alliance, allowing the Horde to initiate the first Warfront.
If you have gathered enough resources and begun the battle, you can sign up for a Warfront. The process aims to bring back the feeling of the classic strategy game Warcraft 3.
You will not be the floating hand of the commander, who commands the troops and builds structures, but the hero. You gather soldiers around you and lead them into battle yourself.
Be part of the command or the lone wolf
The troops you can command apparently depend on the type of buildings you have constructed before. Recruit soldiers from the barracks and coordinate with your fellow players on how to coordinate the attacks.
Coordination is important – but not necessarily required. You can also take matters into your own hands. If you want, you can recruit troops entirely on your own and lead them against the enemy wherever you please. Whether alone or in a team – you are the hero.
Adapt to the circumstances
While you engage in battle, the scenario of a Warfront can change. Similar to the Island Expeditions, your actions can change the circumstances you find yourself in.
Various strategic positions in the Warfronts can be taken and thereby change the situation. Prepare for these changes to ensure victory.
During the week in which the Warfront is active, it apparently doesn’t matter whether you win or lose. Unlike PvP content, there are no defeats. Initiating a Warfront is already enough.
The developers have not yet revealed what this means exactly and how it is supposed to work. The answer to the question of what rewards await you is still outstanding. Speculations suggest that there will be daily quests for the respective faction during the duration of control.
Especially important is that the end of a Warfront heralds the beginning of a new one. Once the Horde has taken an area previously held by the Alliance, they now get the chance to gather resources for a counterattack. This is meant to ensure dynamism.
The developers hinted in an interview that players’ decisions might influence the development. Whether Horde or Alliance can hold a point permanently and thus unlock a new scenario will still be seen.
Many fans of classic PVE MMORPGs are looking forward to Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. The developers have now demonstrated how they handle the dungeons in the game.
Dungeons are important in an MMORPG. The dungeons offer plenty of enemies to defeat, valuable treasures, rich backstory, and a great way to experience an exciting adventure together in a claustrophobic environment.
In Pantheon, you will also descend into dungeons. The developers revealed how these might look through the example dungeon “Black Rose Keep.”
Dungeons present a challenge
Black Rose Keep is set to be a significant challenge for group players. Moreover, you will not complete the dungeon and then forget about it.
There are reasons to keep returning:
Black Rose Keep is divided into several zones
These zones cater to players of different levels
Anyone, regardless of level, can enter all zones, but will soon realize this is not a good idea
Black Rose Keep will be a challenge even in the easier zones, as higher-level monsters occasionally wander into the lower-level zones
Black Rose Keep is meant to remain a thrilling experience in the players’ memories
It should be fun to enter the dungeon repeatedly to tackle the more difficult zones and see new content
Players who have already seen Black Rose Keep and have been able to try the dungeon in Pantheon describe it as a very classic dungeon experience. It feels like a dungeon crawler where you progress piece by piece.
Rats with rabies
Additionally, the developers introduced the Ratkin as a new race. These rat-like creatures are survivors living in colonies where family and the search for food take top priority. They communicate through pictograms and sounds, but have no written language. Ratkin do not worship a particular god but often adopt the religions of the peoples living near their colonies. Moreover, some Ratkin carry a terrible disease that is transmissible to others and causes a kind of rabies.
Over 1500 cheaters have been banned in Guild Wars 2. One of the banned players accuses ArenaNet of having used spyware and also catching innocent players. This is causing quite a stir.
Publishers are striving to protect their games from cheaters. Therefore, they run programs that scan for fraudulent software. For example, Blizzard uses Warden. ArenaNet reportedly used a similar program in March. This has now led to a controversy.
ArenaNet announces 1583 bans in Guild Wars 2
In an official statement, ArenaNet announced on Thursday that 1583 accounts have been banned. These accounts had used unauthorized third-party software and thus violated the user agreement. Complaints about account bans were not allowed there.
Post on reddit sparks major controversy
A user on Reddit examined this incident more closely. They were also banned but claim to be an expert in software reverse engineering. Therefore, they have tools on their computer that could potentially be used for hacking, but which have nothing to do with Guild Wars 2.
This Reddit user claimed that ArenaNet must have installed software alongside Guild Wars 2 that scans background processes. This software was reportedly introduced with a patch on March 6 and was removed on March 27. The user accuses ArenaNet of crossing privacy boundaries and inadvertently catching people who had no intentions of cheating in Guild Wars 2.
He accuses ArenaNet of professional errors and the use of spyware, i.e., snooping software.
One of the main points of criticism is that the user accuses Guild Wars 2 of arbitrariness. ArenaNet would not ban for in-game actions but solely for having the tools on their computer that could theoretically allow such actions.
Controversy heats up – Thousands of comments
The post comes at a time when many users are reflecting on their privacy due to the Facebook data scandal and hits the nail on the head. Rarely has a topic moved the Guild Wars 2 community as much as this.
The Reddit post alone has 1348 comments. In the official forum, more than 1600 additional comments have been made.
ArenaNet’s statement
The Reddit post prompted ArenaNet to issue a second statement on Saturday. The publisher admits that they were searching for the following processes over a period of several weeks:
CheatEngine
Nabster
GW2MHRexe
UNF
MMOMINION
If these programs were running simultaneously with Guild Wars 2 over a significant period of several hours, this led to a ban.
Whether CheatEngine was actually used or if users simply forgot to close it makes no difference. Unlike the previous statement, complaints about bans can now be communicated to support.
In the post, ArenaNet makes it clear that they understand how important accounts are to users and that they respect their trust.
Various tech sites have requested further statements from Guild Wars 2. It can be assumed that this case will continue to occupy ArenaNet and the players of Guild Wars 2 in the coming days.
On April 18, the next big update for Star Wars Battlefront 2 is coming. In this update, the new mode “Ewok Hunt” will be introduced to the game, where the Ewoks must defend their village against the soldiers of the Empire. The microtransactions are also making a comeback in the game – but with a different system than before. We ask ourselves: What is worse?
Some love them, others hate them – the Ewoks are back! With the new update “Night on Endor,” Star Wars Battlefront 2 will receive a new game mode, the Ewok Hunt, on April 18. Here, the Ewoks will face off against Imperial soldiers, just like in the Battle of Endor.
Experience the battle of the Ewoks against the Empire anew
Many Star Wars fans will still remember the decisive battle between the Rebels and the Empire – the Battle of Endor. There, the Alliance was able to defeat the Empire and destroy the Death Star through the heroic efforts of the Ewoks and a bit of luck.
Since then, the cute little bears have been at the center of a controversy. Some fans love the furry Ewoks, while others find them too silly and see them as a stain on the Star Wars universe.
In the comedy series “How I Met Your Mother,” a bold thesis was even put forward that one can tell a person’s age by whether they are pro or anti-Ewok.

Starting April 18, Battlefront 2 will revive the battle of the Ewoks against the Empire in the new limited-time mode “Ewok Hunt.” How long the mode will be available is not yet known.
This is how the new Ewok Assault mode works
Players fight on the forest moon of Endor either on the side of the Ewoks or the Empire.
The new mode begins with an assault by the Ewoks on the Imperial stormtroopers. The Ewoks use characteristically weapons like spears or slingshots and rely on stealth and the cover of night.
If a stormtrooper is killed in battle, they respawn as an Ewok on the other side of the conflict. If all opponents are defeated, the Ewoks win the match.
The stormtroopers’ task is to survive until the approaching extraction team arrives – that is, until the timer runs out. The Imperial side has lamps and modern technologies like laser weapons at their disposal.
The microtransactions are coming back – but better
More controversial than the Ewoks in Star Wars were the microtransactions in Battlefront 2. The heated discussion even forced EA to remove them before the release of the game.
With the upcoming update, the microtransactions will return on April 18 – the crystal currency will be reintroduced. This will allow players to purchase outfits and change the appearance of their characters.
The crystals themselves can be purchased with real money. Outfits can also be exchanged for credits earned through in-game activities. All outfits can therefore be purchased directly – the randomness of the previous loot boxes is eliminated.
Additionally, over 50 new outfits for further personalization of favorite characters will be introduced in the game with the update.
However, even after it was announced that the revised system only includes cosmetic upgrades, some fans remain skeptical. Some fear that EA could leave a backdoor open to gradually expand the microtransaction system in future updates.
Poll: Ewoks or Microtransactions – What is worse?
In the context of the upcoming return of the controversial Ewoks and the still somewhat contentious microtransactions in Battlefront 2, we have prepared a small poll for you – What do you find worse?
What do you think of the new game mode and the revised form of microtransactions?
The upcoming PvP MMORPG Crowfall offers you the opportunity to establish a personal kingdom. How exactly this works is explained by the developers.
While many MMOs focus on letting you explore a world where you complete quests and fight monsters, Crowfall operates a bit differently.
In Crowfall, your Eternal Kingdom (EK) represents the core of gameplay progression. You continuously expand this kingdom by visiting campaign worlds, which are dying worlds, and collecting resources that you use to expand the Eternal Kingdom.
While the worlds constantly die and you can’t carry over progress here, the kingdom is meant to be eternal. Here you can see your progress in Crowfall.
This “Eternal Kingdom” has now been extensively introduced by Crowfall in a new blog post. We summarize the key contents for you.
The Eternal Kingdom is divided into a grid. Each EK consists of 20 by 20 cells
On this grid, you place parcels of land
Every EK starts with two parcels – the temple and the crypt
You collect or purchase additional parcels to build new structures such as fortresses, marketplaces, or cities
Each parcel has a different shape and size. You must arrange the parcels tactically to waste as little space as possible
Each parcel has a different “building capacity”. Therefore, you cannot construct every building on every parcel
The player who places the parcel is its owner
It is possible for multiple players to manage an EK
If no one manages an EK, it goes into a “sleep mode” that only the monarch can awaken
Rights system
There is a hierarchy of ranks that determines the rights of each player in the EK
There are public and private kingdoms. Private ones can only be accessed by invitation
A player entering a public EK is a “visitor”. Visitors can only interact with NPCs, objects, and other players
A player invited to a private EK is a “citizen”, but has the same rights as a “visitor”
Expansion of the EK
The player who owns the EK is the “monarch”. They have full rights. There can only be one monarch. Monarchs distribute rights to other players and can also remove or move parcels
If a visitor or citizen receives the rank “noble” from the monarch, they can place parcels in the EK through the Kingdom Editor.
Monarchs and nobles can grant visitors or citizens the rank “vassal”. Vassals are able to build on their assigned parcels. However, only a specific number of vassals can be assigned to each parcel
The token system
Each parcel has a maximum number of buildings that can be erected on it. This is represented by the “Building Token”
Each building consumes a certain number of tokens, and every parcel has a predetermined number of tokens. So, you must decide which and how many buildings to erect on a parcel
Tokens come in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and it is possible to build two types of structures – simple buildings and defensive structures
Each parcel has a predetermined number of tokens as mentioned, and the owner of the parcel can assign tokens to the vassals, which they can use to build
Commands for the vassal system
Monarchs and nobles have more options than vassals and can use commands to inspect or execute certain tasks, which in the first version still happens through slash commands in the chat window. Later, there will be a separate interface for this. Some examples:
/ekremove <player> – This command removes a player from the EK
/ekaddnoble <player> – This command adds a player to the list of nobles
/eklisttokens – shows a list of players to whom tokens have been assigned for a parcel and how many tokens each has
Systems are regularly improved and optimized
The introduction of this system is a significant step for the MMORPG Crowfall to become the online game it was originally planned to be. Naturally, adjustments and changes will continue to be made to the system, depending on what works well and what needs optimization.
This is still an initial version, as can be seen from the vassal system and the input of commands through the chat window.
Fortnite (PC, PS4, Xbox One, iOS) received a new replay feature in the last patch 3.5. This allows you to watch your played matches again and edit them at your leisure. Ideal for creating high-quality fan videos.
Fortnite is not just a game. Fans create memes, recreate the emotes in real life, and post their best moments on YouTube and Twitch.
And with the current patch 3.5, the developers at Epic have provided all fan filmmakers with a powerful new toy: The replay feature!
With the new replay feature, the game saves your past matches. You can view them in your “Career” menu under Replays. But the replay tool can do even more. You can, among other things:
Change the perspective
Adjust the brightness
Change the camera distance to the action
Toggle damage effects, bullet trails, and muzzle flash on and off
Set special effects like slow motion
Look forward to Fortnite music videos and fan films
The new replay video editor seems to be a powerful tool for content creators. Shortly after the implementation of the new feature, first attempts with the new tool were already online, which were quite impressive.
Want a little music video?
The YouTuber Edir played around with the editor and made a fun music video showing how stylish you can get taken out in Fortnite from different perspectives.

Considering that all these works were created shortly after the release of the replay feature, there will likely be many more great video montages, music videos, and machinimas for Fortnite in the future.
Note: The replay feature is currently only available for the PC and console version of Fortnite and only for the Battle Royale mode.
The development of the sci-fi MMORPG Project Genom is taking a long time, and you can tell by the game. The developers promise improvement for 2018 and want to regularly deliver new content after the next big update.
Project Genom sounds pretty cool:
You improve your hero by either letting them mutate or by developing them into a cyborg with technology
You explore a vast alien world, not only on foot but also with many vehicles
You fight monsters in groups and complete quests
It is possible to build structures
You even leave the planet and explore space
You craft powerful equipment
The world is supposed to feature a day and night cycle that affects the inhabitants
However, since the end of 2016, there has been something wrong with Project Genom. Back then, an internal conflict became public and caused Project Genom to disappear from Steam. A single programmer stood against the rest of Project Genom.
But the developers now want to step up their efforts. The team is currently working on a large update that will improve all systems. As soon as this update goes live – a date has not yet been given – the developers want to deliver new content faster and regularly. This includes more quests, interconnected dungeons, better models, and new animations.
It will be exciting to see if these updates can rekindle interest in Project Genom.
The game world in Far Cry 5 offers not only shooter action but also plenty of potential for secrets and the strange. Mysterious radio broadcasts have now awakened the detectives in the community: They think the trail might lead to Bigfoot.
The vast game world of Far Cry 5 has a lot of places and hiding spots that want to be explored outside of the story missions. Whether loot or Easter Eggs come out of it, many players love to roam the fictional Hope County in search of secrets.
One of these sleuths has now stumbled upon strange radio signals that are currently being examined with the help of the community in the Far Cry subreddit.
Radio static or distress signal?
User colby_klaus has come across the strange radio broadcasts and shared his findings on Twitter and Reddit. At various locations in the Whitetail Mountains, static is alternately audible on both radio stations, but it is heavily localized. In other places, moaning sounds or quiet cries for help are said to be heard.
Together with other players from Reddit, several locations have already been compiled where the mysterious messages can be heard.
Between the F.A.N.G. Center and the Elk Jaw Lodge
In the region of the McKinnley Dam
North of the Whitetail Park Ranger Station
West of the F.A.N.G. Centers and Lumber Mill
South of Grill Steak
West of Langford Lake on the road leading to the prepper hideout at Franks Cabin
Interestingly, all these locations are in the region around the Moccassin River.
Does the trail lead to Bigfoot?
Even more interesting is that one of the amateur detectives on Reddit has cross-referenced the findings with the Bigfoot map found in a prepper hideout. Some of the locations where the strange radio broadcasts can be heard actually match the points marked on the Bigfoot map.
The side quest “Searching for Sasquatch” leads players to a prepper hideout west of Clagett Bay. The owner of the cabin, Dick Dansky, is convinced he is on the trail of the legendary Sasquatch in the Whitetail Mountains and has marked numerous areas where Bigfoot has supposedly been sighted on a map.
The discovery of this map has already thrilled mystery-crazy players and prompted some of them to scour the game world of Far Cry 5 for more clues about the mythical creature.
The Community Day in Pokémon GO brings Shiny Voltilamm. This and more information have now been confirmed by the first participants.
Trainers, today is the fourth Community Day in Pokémon GO, increasing the spawn rate of Voltilamm. In Germany, the event starts at 11:00 AM, but other regions have already participated. Players from Asia confirm that there are shiny Voltilamm to catch during the Community Day. The field research has also slightly changed.
On Reddit, trainer Vinsanity9 from New Zealand posted his shiny Voltilamm catch:
Those who are lucky will catch enough shiny Voltilamm during the event to evolve the entire shiny family. How high the chance for shinies at this event is, remains unclear so far. A look at the shiny family of Voltilamm in Pokémon GO can be found here. Dataminer Chrales already found them in the game’s code last Friday.
New field research only with Voltilamm?
Various trainers report that many field researches now deal directly with Voltilamm. This would be a good opportunity to earn additional rewards like berries or stardust during the event.
In a screenshot, trainer TheBeardedBeerBear shows his current field quests – Admittedly, there isn’t much variety:
First reports say that the quest “Catch 3 Voltilamm” has four different rewards:
Voltilamm should be easy to catch, no special balls needed
As trainer thdrshn explains, the chance of catching a Voltilamm is high. According to his recommendation, you do not need to use Ultra Balls or Great Balls, but only regular Poké Balls. This would be a good way to replenish the stock of the other balls through the shown quests.
It’s also advisable to use Razz Berries when catching to get as many candies as possible.
In Devstream 109 of Warframe the new mission “Sanctuary Onslaught” was discussed, which will be linked to the release of the cat lady Khora. Additionally, Khora’s new skills and strange, floral mods were introduced. The UI and the pet system are also set to be completely overhauled.
Update April 18: Digital Extremes has now confirmed that Khora will be coming to Warframe this week.
In Warframe’s Devstream 109 (link leads to YouTube), among other things, the long-overdue cat lady Khora was discussed. The new Warframe was meant to be in the game a long time ago, but received a rework before the release. Her new abilities and the mission where you receive her with a whip were introduced. In the new mission, you’ll also be able to grab some pretty strange and almost delightfully silly mods.
Another major point was the planned overhaul of the entire user interface, especially the user-friendliness is to be improved. The faithful pets of the space ninjas are also set to receive a significant renewal, referred to as Pets 2.0.
Mode “Sanctuary Onslaught” may be coming as early as next week – With it Khora?
Warframe is getting a new game mode that will be linked to the Void and Cephalon Simaris. Cephalon Simaris is an AI construct, where you receive unique items and live in the so-called Sanctuary .
Lead developer Steve Sinclair mentioned in the stream that they are aiming for the release of the new mode next week (April 16 – 22).
The stream also revealed that you will receive the parts to build Khora in this new mission. Khora was captured by Cephalon Simaris and you have to rescue her from the Sanctuary. So Khora could appear as early as next week, but this is not yet officially confirmed.
This is how the new survival mode will work:
You have 2 minutes to defeat a wave of enemies while the life support systems fail
Collect Void Stabilizers scattered throughout the map and maintain the Void stability to survive
After 2 minutes, a portal opens, throwing you into a random room with increased difficulty and instability
At the start of each wave (after the first), you receive a 45-second focus bonus. The percentage increases with each wave.
The more enemies you kill, the more you will gain from the mission
There will be an increased “challenge mode” that also raises the focus reward
Strange “Peculiar Mods” – Have no usefulness, but are funny
One of the rewards from “Sanctuary Onslaught” will be the “Peculiar Mods,” which roughly translates to bizarre or curious mods. Normally, modifications in Warframe help your space ninjas become stronger. Increased damage, more range, or energy are the mantra.
However, the “Peculiar Mods” are supposed to trigger a useless and bizarre effect when certain conditions are met. During the stream, flowers were presented that grow from enemies’ bodies when they are critically hit.
Khora’s new abilities: Throw enemies into the air and strangle them
Khora was originally supposed to switch between the three physical damage types that Warframe has with her skills. However, this feature has been thrown out and replaced with other skills.
With this skill set, Khora and her cat Vetinari will now enter battle:
Ability 1 – “Whipclaw”: Khora’s whip triggers an AOE attack. The whip can be equipped with melee mods.
Ability 2 – “Ensnare“: Pins enemies down and simultaneously pulls in other enemies nearby Khora.
Ability 3 – “Call Vetinari”: Vetinari is Khora’s own Kavat, summoned with this skill. The cat will be able to switch between three modes in which it either attacks, defends, or heals the team. Players trigger the switch themselves.
Ability 4 – “Strangledome” – This skill throws enemies into the air, where they remain pinned and take continuous damage.
The idea of being able to switch between different modes is thus further pursued in the cat Vetinari, making Khora flexible in her usability. The name “Strangledome” serves as a placeholder for the ultimate ability.
“Too many beginners quit because of a cumbersome UI” – Adjustments are necessary
According to lead developer Steve Sinclair, many beginners quit playing Warframe because they do not understand the cumbersome user interface. The online shooter has been around for 5 years and the menus no longer follow a straight line.
Overall, the UI is to be made simpler and ensure better clarity at a point. In the future, you will also have the option to customize the UI to your taste. For example, you can select the color of the menus. You can find more concepts for a new user interface in this Imgur album. The presented concepts are not yet set in stone and may change.
Pets 2.0 – Slaughtering packs of dogs to steal their puppies is kind of antiquated
The faithful and beloved pets of Warframe are also set to receive a complete overhaul. The ways you get the little ones and their modifications are set to change in the future.
Dog lovers currently have to slaughter a pack of wild dogs and destroy their dens to get a puppy themselves. Because the dens contain the eggs of the animals, which they defend with all their might. Digital Extremes found this a bit strange if you actually like dogs and want them as companions.
In this context, Digital Extremes also introduced some cosmetics for the Moa that will soon be available as animal companions in the game. Who hasn’t always wanted a little robot with a top hat?
What else was interesting about Devstream 109?
Here are some other interesting points from the Devstream:
TennoGen Round 12 – There will be new fan-created skins that you can see in the official Warframe forum.
Scythes will be reworked together with a melee rework
You will soon be able to regulate the light in the dojo
Umbra remains a mystery! There will be no information about the new Warframe in Devstreams before he is released
New vehicles for Venus: The new open-world map on Venus will be industrial and styled like Cyberpunk. There is supposed to be a road network along with new vehicles that you can use.
What do you think of Khora’s new skills and Digital Extremes’ plans?
With Destiny 2, Bungie has significantly adjusted some mechanics from the predecessor. Unjustly, some players now believe. They suggest taking another look at the current raid mechanic, which relies on revivals through tokens.
While Bungie is considering bringing back the random rolls in some form to Destiny 2 as known from the original, some players already have the next idea on which system could be improved. A current suggestion concerns the present raid mechanic, which relies on revival through tokens when team members die.
This system, however, is a thorn in the side of some raiders. They miss the heroic moments of the past! In Destiny 1, guardians could still turn seemingly hopeless situations at the last moment. Although teammates had already fallen, teams were able to master a raid encounter that seemed to be lost through collaboration and creativity.
Back to the Roots or New System?
In the Destiny subreddit, players are currently discussing whether it would be better not to simply return to the mechanics of Destiny 1.
This is what the mechanics looked like in Destiny 1: In regular raids, guardians had to wait 30 seconds before they could be revived by a teammate, similar to the Nightfall. In hard mode, however, players could not be revived but respawned if their team was able to pass a stage and reach the next checkpoint.
For some players, this “magical” mechanic has remained memorable because they had to become creative and change their plans when an important member fell.
Guardians think, for example, of the boss fight against Crota in the raid Crota’s End. When the sword bearer fell, another had to take his place. Besides, he also had to fulfill his actual task.
This is what the mechanics look like in Destiny 2: In Destiny 2, each raid team member has a revival token that can be used to help a fallen guardian back on their feet. However, the group only has 30 seconds to revive fallen players. If the players fail to revive in this time, it means a wipe for the entire group.
Some players take issue with this, as even if everything goes well, the death of a guardian can anytime lead to an undesired wipe. For instance, the spawning of the guardian orb in impossible to reach spots or the misjudgment of the remaining time for revival have been mentioned as potential wipe reasons.
According to players, this mechanic fits better with the prestige raid, the hard mode in Destiny 2, but not with the regular raid.
Players Propose Changes to the Current Mechanic
According to players, it doesn’t take much tinkering to make the current raid system interesting and challenging. For instance, user FrodoPotterTheWookie suggests keeping the 30-second timer but making revivals impossible thereafter.

This way, players would have to decide whether it is really worth interrupting a current rotation to revive the fallen player or whether the risk is taken to continue playing without the downed guardian.
This token system is intended to keep all team members engaged in encounters while the threat of death remains relevant. The goal was to prevent raid groups from having no chance of success after the loss of a team member and slowly bleeding out over several minutes.
While the current system seems to be a good compromise, it is still something that Bungie is discussing internally, Blackburn assured.
Revival or Wipe? What mechanic do you think is the best solution? Do you perhaps have a completely different idea on how to address the loss of team members in raids?
