The latest update to Stardew Valley brings a multiplayer mode. Additionally, players can look forward to new items and events.
Stardew Valley can now be played in multiplayer! The new patch integrates the ability to farm together with friends. After a beta version for multiplayer was released in April, it is now a fixed part of the main game. New events and items are also included.
For now only for PC: Currently, the patch has only been released for the Steam, GOG, Mac, and Linux versions, but consoles are expected to be supported in the near future.
What is Stardew Valley? Stardew Valley is an RPG and a type of farming simulation inspired by games like Harvest Moon.
After inheriting a farm, players take over its daily operations and manage it. Various factors are crucial, such as
the changing seasons, for which you can make preparations
sufficient sleep, as your character has limited energy available
the proper handling of plants, their watering, fertilizing
life with the villagers
Players must pay attention to a variety of things to be successful in Stardew Valley.
The special thing: Stardew Valley was developed by Eric Barone – all by himself! It took him four years to achieve this.
Stardew Valley now has cooperative multiplayer
How can you play Stardew Valley cooperatively? Up to four players can manage a farm simultaneously, as long as all own a copy of the game and enough sleep cabins have been built on the farm.
One player will be chosen as the host, whom others can join. The mode is selectable from the title screen after the update.
You can start a game as a host, join others, and also continue existing cooperative games as long as the respective host is online. LAN games are also possible, or you can find each other via a password.
Crossplay as an option: Steam and GOG players even have the option to play together via crossplay.
Beforehand, the host can determine the number of sleep cabins and even influence their position. It is also possible to start without sleep cabins and then have them built yourself.
The difficulty level, or profit margins, can also be set in advance. These are the four levels available:
100% (Normal)
75%
50%
25%
Everything is shared: In a cooperative game, all players share the money and work on the same farm; the state of the game world and the progress of the players counts for everyone. All players must even go to bed at the same time to be able to rest.
A wedding is even possible among players, provided they craft a “Wedding Ring”. A chat box is intended to facilitate communication.

A LoL (League of Legends)-MMO is probably not completely off the table just yet. The enthusiasm of the fans surprised the developers, who spoke about new ideas in an interview. Riot Games seems to be keeping all options open.
What happened? A tweet from Riot Games’ Marc Merrill recently toyed with the hearts of players. He asked whether fans would want an MMO. A huge hype arose among the fans.
Later, a LoL employee explained that this was just a kind of survey and that nothing concrete is planned. It was a thought experiment.
But the topic remains hot: In an interview, the LoL founder revisited the upcoming titles of the studio and the question of the MMO.
Interactive map was the trigger: The question about a LoL-MMO came from Merrill after Riot Games released an interactive map of the LoL world “Runeterra”. Here players can explore the areas and lore of LoL online.
Surprised by the fans’ reactions: The introduction of the interactive LoL map was the perfect opportunity to ask the community for their opinions on an MMO, as Merrill explained in an interview with the US site Variety. The reaction and interest of the players was, however, a surprise for the studio.
When directly asked if Riot Games is currently working on an MMORPG, Merrill only gave evasive answers.
The question that is really interesting and relevant is: What does the future of MMOs look like? I think we have a perspective, others have a perspective, the players have a perspective. World of Warcraft remains a dominant game.
There are good reasons why it might not be the best decision to compete with WoW, but who knows. We’re exploring a lot of things and thinking about many things.
Should Riot Games focus on the players’ interest in a LoL-MMO or would you prefer a role-playing game in a completely new universe?
Battle Royale is all the rage: The gaming year 2018 is all about battle royale. Fortnite shows impressively how successful this genre can be and what hype such a game can create. Now, many game developers want a piece of this pie, like the big shooter franchises CoD and Battlefield, and are looking to launch their own BR variants this year.
Battle Royale on the soccer field too? Many FIFA fans joked that battle royale would soon be available on the virtual pitch. What seemed like a joke could soon become reality – if rumors and leaks are to be believed.
Rumors and leaks about a battle royale game mode in FIFA 19
Rumors about rumors: In recent days, headlines have been piling up that FIFA 19 wants to hop on the battle royale train. There are reports of a new mode reminiscent of the hype game Fortnite. The term “battle royale” can also be found in one headline or another.
Where do the rumors and leaks come from? If you trace the rumors back, you’ll land at YouTuber DTT. He published a video in which he claims that a new mode for FIFA 19 has been confirmed. Most rumor articles refer to this source.
What kind of leak is this? DTT claims that there is a mode in FIFA 19 similar to Last Man Standing from FIFA Street. In this mode, four players compete in two teams without goalkeepers. Each goal scorer must leave the field, and whoever has all their players on the sidelines first is the winner. However, in FIFA 19, this mode will not be played in 4v4, but in 11v11.
Footage from FIFA Street is in the video
Video is overrated: Many – including German – sites claim that this video shows the first gameplay footage of this new mode. Therefore, the leak is undoubtedly real. However, the gameplay is from FIFA Street. It is played in the Aberdeen Cage, which was part of FIFA Street, in 4v4.
In other words: The YouTuber has no footage from FIFA 19 that confirms his claims.
FIFA 19 certainly has no “battle royale”
Many fans and online sites have overinterpreted the information in this video and concluded that there will be a battle royale mode. However, not even the mode that DTT describes is a true “battle royale” mode.
What exactly is battle royale? In the battle royale game principle, a large number of players compete against each other. The goal is to defeat all opponents to be the last survivor remaining.
In Last Man Standing, however, you do not “defeat” opponents, but rather weaken yourself. With each goal, one of your own players must leave the field. Moreover, it’s not about being the last player on the pitch, but about losing all your players first.
The gameplay is thus only remotely related to battle royale, but one cannot speak of a “battle royale” mode.
Fortnite is “real” battle royale
Rumors revolve around Last Man Standing, the mode from FIFA Street
And is Last Man Standing coming to FIFA 19? There is no official information from EA Sports regarding this. Aside from the leak from DTT, there are other leaks that mention Last Man Standing, although some are certainly fake. Recently, this image has been circulating on reddit, supposedly from fifatradebrasil:
It shows a 5v5 “Last Player Standing” screen. In the comments, it states that the stadium in the image is from FIFA Street. Therefore, it is likely a fake. Additionally, DTT is talking about an 11v11 mode, which contradicts this image.
However, the fact that such an 11v11 “Last Man Standing” mode could actually come about is indicated by this fairly credible leak from a German magazine. Here it mentions a Survive Mode, where 11v11 is played and with each goal, a player must leave the field. This would match DTT’s statements:

In the lead-up to the upcoming Forsaken expansion, Bungie has been unusually generous with new details about the upcoming fall addon for Destiny 2. We summarize the key features and changes that Forsaken aims to retain or reclaim you.
Even a month before the release of Forsaken, a surprising amount is known about the upcoming major fall expansion for Destiny 2. As part of the month-long exclusive reporting by Game Informer, Bungie has revealed a wealth of information and details about the new addon.
However, in addition to exclusive content that defines the Forsaken expansion, it is particularly the many changes to existing systems and mechanics in Destiny 2 that fans are eagerly watching. We summarize the key features and changes that Forsaken aims to make Destiny 2 appealing again.
Random Rolls
Many fans and especially many Destiny veterans have been waiting for this: The fixed roll system from the first year will give way to the random rolls with Forsaken. This means that the perks of Year 2 weapons will once again be rolled randomly upon dropping or decrypting an engram.
The hunt for loot and the loot itself should become a bit more exciting again. Most weapons from the first year will of course retain their fixed perks, but some of the most popular guns from the first year will also return with random rolls.
New Weapons and Armor
Many exotic weapons and armor in Destiny 2 have not lived up to their names for a long time and have faded even alongside legendary competition. Bungie has taken on the issue and revamped large parts of the exotic gear – with success.
With the Forsaken expansion, the studio wants to continue this line and continue offering exciting and rewarding gear. The confirmed exotics of the Forsaken expansion certainly give hope that they will succeed.
By the way: With Forsaken, a completely new weapon type will enter the game – the bow.
Changes to the Weapon System
The weapon system of Destiny 2 has not been well received by large parts of the Guardian community. Many mourned the beloved system from the first Destiny title.
Bungie has taken this situation to heart and has revamped the weapon system along with weapon slots with Forsaken. Going forward, Guardians will have much more freedom in assembling their weapons.
Currently, mods can only make minor changes to weapons and armor pieces. In many cases, you hardly notice a difference. Most mods currently feel more like a necessary leveling requirement rather than a useful and distinctive modification of a weapon or armor.
With the release of the fall addon, this should change. Mods should finally become noticeably useful, so that Guardians want to equip them of their own accord and do not just feel forced to do so.
With the weapon system, the infusion system in Forsaken is also changing. The current mechanic allows you to infuse weapons of the same type into one another, thus increasing their power level.
With the fall expansion, the system will be less restrictive. It will then be possible to infuse weapons from the same slot – regardless of the weapon type.
The costs will depend on which weapons are infused. For example, it will be cheaper to use duplicates of a weapon. The prices for infusing Year 1 weapons will be comparatively higher.
Year 1 gear remains relevant
Bungie has learned from past mistakes and respects your achievements and invested time. Therefore, the complete legendary and exotic arsenal and armor palette from Year 1 will also remain relevant with Forsaken. Fans who simply cannot live without their Better Devils, Midnight without Name, or the IKELOS weapons can look forward to this.
This well-known system has been desired by many fans. For anyone who knows the kiosks from Destiny 1, the collections of Destiny 2 will already seem familiar. Both features are similar in function. In exchange for certain materials or glimmer, previously obtained items can be retrieved again from the collection – a kind of archive.
However, the collections are somewhat more extensive in their function and not only show already obtained items but also information and tips on the location or potential source of still missing items.
Currently, after completing all weekly milestones, there are hardly any attractive reasons to invest more time into the game until the next reset. There is hardly anything noteworthy that will advance you in the game. Forsaken aims to change this situation.
Therefore, numerous milestones such as the flashpoints will be revamped. The returned bounty missions and daily heroic story missions are also set to become integral to the new weekly rituals. In the future, this should create more and more opportunities for Guardians to obtain powerful gear and make progress within a week.
Furthermore, with Forsaken, more hidden puzzles, riddles, secret quests like those seen in Whisper of the Worm and limited-time events will make their way into the game. This aims to finally give Destiny 2 the mysterious and enigmatic flair that some players feel has been missing since the first Destiny installment.
Endgame Activities for Solo Players
The most challenging and rewarding endgame activities in Destiny 2 always require a group. However, with Forsaken, Bungie wants to ensure that there is enough endgame content for solo players as well. Bungie has not disclosed many details regarding this yet. However, according to previous statements from the studio, both the new Gambit mode and the Dreaming City – the new endgame hub of Forsaken – are particularly interesting for lone wolves.
More Variety in Guardian Classes with New Supers
Many fans have wished for more diversity or freer choice in class abilities. At least one wish has been granted with Forsaken: Players will soon be able to choose a new path for each of their three classes within their subclasses. This will provide fans with nine new paths – including their own new Supers.
Large parts of the community have mourned the times when the light level of Guardians played a significant role in certain PvP activities. Bungie has recognized the problem and made adjustments. With the release of Forsaken, the power level of Guardians in Iron Banner and the Trials of the Nine will once again be meaningful.
As in September the highest character level will be raised to 50 and the new maximum power level to 600, it will be interesting to see how much the power level actually affects the Guardians’ power in the context of these events.
Time to Kill is Reduced
With Forsaken comes one of the most awaited changes in PvP – the time to kill will be lowered globally.
Strikes have been among the most popular activities among Guardians since Destiny 1. These dungeon-like missions will be revamped with the fall expansion. Strikes will finally be individually selectable from the navigator. Additionally, after the three toughest modifiers, additional heroic modifiers will be adjusted. But most fans will likely be most excited about the new strike-specific loot that will be introduced with Forsaken.
Mass Deletion of Shaders
A quirky feature that will likely bring much joy to numerous fans is the mass deletion of shaders. Currently, shaders can only be deleted individually – even if one has an impressive collection in the high three-digit range.
This should be a thing of the past with Forsaken. At least in parts. It seems that it will only be possible to delete shaders in batches of 5 and not the total amount. But even so, this feature should make the virtual Guardian life more manageable for many fans.
Blizzard has responded and quietly eliminated a way for players to cheat multiple hundred honor levels in WoW.
A few days ago, we reported that players in World of Warcraft were deliberately farming to boost their honor level. Raids of 40 players were being alternately slaughtered, which meant a lot of honor for everyone involved. Blizzard has now put a stop to this method. A hotfix reduces the honor gained.
What happened? At Darkshore, several full raid groups of Alliance and Horde players met, facing each other and being killed alternately by the other faction. This happened right within the graveyard range, so the resurrection took only a few seconds.
After that, the other side was allowed to kill the group of opponents. This way, players earned several honor levels within a few hours to claim the rewards.
What was changed? Before the change, killing in a raid granted all players the full honor amount of the victim. Thus, several hundred honor points could be earned per group kill. Now, killing a complete raid group per player only results in a measly honor point. This makes the agreed farming in the open world hardly worthwhile; real PvP and battlegrounds are once again the best farming method.
No decision about penalties. Many players are demanding that those who exploited this mechanic face an account penalty or have their honor revoked. Blizzard has not commented on this so far – so it could be that a penalty will be omitted, as there was no classic “win-trading” and no PvP ranking was distorted.
Did you also participate in this honor farming method? Or are you too proud for such things and prefer to collect points in the traditional way in the real battleground?
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
It is becoming clear who is setting the impulses for new MMOs and MMORPGs, believes our author Schuhmann: the Chinese company NetEase and its partners with the wonder technology SpatialOS. But the future may not please many. The signs are pointing towards sandbox and PvP, not theme park and PvE.
The Great MMORPG Conflict of 2018
These new MMORPGs are coming right now: We are currently experiencing that almost every new “MMORPG” presentation has players having an issue with the game.
This is not because they are indie games with low production values, but because almost all these games rely on “sandbox” elements:
the games have open PvP
the content should be shaped by the players
there are hardly any quests or stories
but rather they want to create a living world where players determine what happens
Many players want something different: Most MMORPG fans who express their anger want other games. They want:
a world with story and quests
high production values, preferably fully voiced
a focus on PvE; no PvP or only in certain arenas
preferably assurance that new PvE content will constantly be added
But these types of games are hardly being built for fans today, or only very sporadically. The production costs and investment risks are too high, after these games have repeatedly failed in the past. If something comes in this direction, like recently Bless, it will sink.
But these are just indies! One could say: Well, what we currently see in new “MMORPGs” are often just indie projects financed through Kickstarter. This can hardly be the future of the genre.
However, the future of MMORPGs is actually being created: in China. And even there, the signs are clearly pointing towards sandbox.
Worlds Adrift – a SpatialOS game
The Next Generation of MMOs is Being Created in China
Where is the future of MMOs being created? When looking for the future of MMORPGs, one should follow the money trail. And this trail clearly leads to China.
And now they have teamed up with CCP to market EVE Online in China
SpatialOS as crucial technology: The key element for the future is certainly the investment in Improbable and their technology SpatialOS.
Improbable has been the “money” in MMO investments in recent years. In May 2017, Improbable had already received $502 million in investments. NetEase recently invested an additional $50 million in Improbable.
Even smaller companies relying on SpatialOS are receiving larger investments – like the recent MMORPG Seed from Berlin
Improbable CEO Herman Nerula speaks of breaking the stagnation in the MMO genre. His dream was once to transform Destiny with his technology into a “living world”.
The technology behind SpatialOS should make it possible for “small teams” to create massive and vibrant worlds. This is to be achieved through overlapping server structures and the cloud.
So far, they have only been able to win over games at the level of an “indie” studio as cooperation partners. However, with NetEase, they are climbing into the major leagues.
It is clear: NetEase wants to lead MMORPGs and MMOs into the future, and for that, they will rely on SpatialOS. But this will be a future of sandbox games.
Seed: MMORPG from Berlin, also created with SpatialOS
Technology Designed for Sandbox – Small Teams Create Worlds, No Stories
What will the future look like? The technology of SpatialOS is designed for sandbox. With SpatialOS, thousands of players should populate vibrant worlds. Pre-made content like quests or stories plays a minor role here.
The technology is ideal for a sandbox where players interact with each other:
SpatialOS advertises that even small teams can create massive worlds with their technology.
Traditional theme park MMORPGs need to employ hordes of staff to create enough content.
In summary: In the new type of MMOs, the players themselves are the content.
Will this work? It is logical that investors prefer the idea of a small team creating something new – compared to the theme park model, where hundreds of employees produce games that then have a high risk of failure.
By the end of 2018, NetEase and Improbable want to present the first games of this partnership. It will be interesting to see how MMORPG fans react to them. Because whether players love sandbox as much as investors remains uncertain at the moment.

More records are falling in World of Warcraft – and this is despite players now forgoing their artifact weapons.
Although the artifact weapons in World of Warcraft have been phased out, there are still new records to be set in the current expansion “Legion”. The first group has now managed to complete a dungeon of difficulty “Mythic+31” within the time limit, specifically in the Court of Stars.
Unusual group composition: It is notable that this is one of the first “record groups” that has taken a Discipline Priest along. So far, these priests in record groups have been somewhat “meh”, as they can hardly deal area damage and are often laughed at as healers. In the end, they even had more than 2 minutes left. You can watch how the run went shortly after the start here:

No voice chat: It is particularly impressive that the group made no use of voice chat in any form. It seems that they were a very well-coordinated team that even had time to chat between pulls.
Weapons from the pre-event are more powerful: It is also worth mentioning that in the current “War of Thorns” event there are weapons that far surpass the power of artifact weapons. Most players likely have an artifact weapon around item level 220 or 230. The new weapons from the world quests during the War of Thorns have a base level of 210 but can be upgraded through a “Warforged” upgrade to item level 250. This means they comfortably surpass the artifact weapons and are several percentage points better.
In Pokémon GO there are now many new field research tasks available. They reward you with shinies and other cool monsters.
New tasks: When a new field research breakthrough is activated in Pokémon GO, new quests usually come into play as well. In this overview, we show you the tasks that you can currently complete.
New quests for field research with Raikou
The following tasks and rewards for field research in August have already been confirmed by the community on TheSilphRoad. For better clarity, we only show the tasks with Pokémon encounters as rewards.

The new Raikou field research tasks in August are active in Pokémon GO. They reward you with the new Pokémon Pandir and new Shinies.
What is new? Since August 1 at 10:00 PM, there are new quests for field research. This month’s breakthrough rewards you with Raikou. Trainers quickly noticed that the new quests also hide the Pokémon Pandir, which was previously leaked. You can now find more shiny forms in the wild.
Raikou as Research Breakthrough
August Reward: If you achieve research breakthroughs in August, you will be rewarded with Raikou. It then appears as a personal encounter for you and is easy to catch.
Good for rural players: Especially for players in the countryside, this is a welcome opportunity to obtain legendary Pokémon. In rural areas, there are often few players active or hardly any gyms available. Raids with legendary opponents are therefore particularly difficult. Through the research, you can also get legendary monsters without raid battles.
Pandir is now in the game, but not with all forms
Shortly after the leak: Yesterday we reported that Pandir is now server-side available in Pokémon GO. We didn’t expect Niantic to switch it on so quickly. Because today Pandir is already available for you in Pokémon GO. So far, the monster is only available as a reward for the “Land 3 Curveballs” quest.
Only one form: According to initial reports, Pandir is not in the game with its leaked 8 forms, but only with one. The form where the spot is below the mouth.

Hunt for these new Shinys
Shiny Houndour: With the new quests, the shiny form of Houndour has also come into the game. You have a chance to encounter it with the “Evolve a Meowth” quest. Trainers report that you can also find the shiny Houndour in the wild.
Snubbull: Additionally, the shiny form of Snubbull is now in the game. In Pokémon GO, the new quests seem to mainly revolve around dogs and cats. The chance to encounter shiny Snubbull is available for the task “Catch an Eneko or Fiffyen”. You can find a screenshot of shiny Snubbull here:
So far, the mobile MOBA game Vainglory has only been available on iOS and Android devices and has been a hit there. But now, the developer Super Evil Megacorp is bringing the game to PC, where giants like LoL and DOTA 2 are already waiting. Vainglory comes with cross-play support for the mobile platform.
For half a year, players have been able to compete against each other in Vainglory in a 5v5 mode. Now the developers are taking another step to bring their MOBA to the level of classic PC MOBAs like LoL or DOTA 2.
Early Alpha already playable
Originally conceived as a pure mobile game: The developers at Super Evil Megacorp have always believed that smartphones represent the best platform for MOBA games. According to the developers, high availability is key.
Vainglory: Download and Test on PC
But now they are trying to gain a foothold on PC with the port of Vainglory. There should be unrestricted cross-play between the PC version and the existing versions on mobile platforms.
On the official website of the game, you can already download and try out the PC client.
A big construction site
The developers warn that the PC version is an early alpha: The PC version does not even have recommended PC specs yet. However, since it is a mobile port, any reasonably modern PC should be able to handle it without any issues.
Currently, the developers are working to improve the alpha version. The following items are already on the “to-do” list:
In Destiny 2, the Solstice of Heroes is currently taking place, where you can snag cool armor. However, the path to the best armor is long. We show you a quick farming method for elemental orbs needed to level up the first sets.
The grind for the event armors: Numerous Guardians have set the goal to acquire the best version of the Solstice event armor. However, on the way there, it’s important to level up the different sets by completing specific challenges.
This also includes collecting elemental orbs. However, many fans still struggle with this. We’ll show you how to efficiently get the orbs for your first set this week – even solo.
Farming Elemental Orbs – Here’s how
Different sources: To level up the Burnt Set of the Solstice of Heroes, you need elemental orbs from different sources. Depending on your class, you need a specific element from strikes, one from any activities, and one from Earth.
With the following farming method, you can quickly cover your need for orbs from strikes and any sources. This method does not work for Earth.
Note: Elemental orbs can only be generated if you have the complete event set equipped.
Here’s how you farm: The farming method presented revolves around this week’s Pyramidion Nightfall strike. At the very beginning of the strike, there are many elite enemies (Yellow Bars) that frequently drop the coveted elemental orbs upon defeat.
Depending on which element you currently need for your orb collection, equip the corresponding subclass and align your arsenal with the respective element. So if you need Arkus orbs, you should equip the Stormcaller as a Warlock and use Arkus weapons. This way, you will get Arkus orbs.
Now start the Pyramidion Nightfall and engage the yellow health bar enemies in the first combat area right at the start of the strike. Once you’ve dealt with the first enemies, activate a plate. More enemies will spawn. Once you’re done with them, activate the second plate and eliminate all enemies except one. Let yourself be killed or kill yourself.
Then start this passage again. If you kill all enemies, the game will take you to the next instance. You then need to return to orbit and restart the Nightfall to continue farming.
After the wipe, you start everything over. You repeat this process until you have gathered the required number of orbs of the respective element. Then switch to the other needed element that you should either collect in strikes or in any activities and start the entire action again.
Good to know:
Each run (until the wipe) gives you an average of 10-12% progress – solo
In a team, the method works much faster
Uncollected orbs remain on the ground even after a wipe
For the orbs on Earth, it is advisable to complete Redux missions there (e.g. Spark).
The farming method in the video: YouTuber Mesa Sean explains this method in detail in his video. Check it out here:

In Conan Exiles, an update is coming soon that will allow you to tame animals. In a newsletter, the developers reveal how the pet system will work. We explain how to tame and use pets in Conan Exiles.
Pets in Conan Exiles: In the survival MMO Conan Exiles, you will soon be able to enjoy animal companions. “Pets” are expected to be implemented on the test live servers on August 16. Experience shows that such updates typically appear on the live servers a few days to two weeks later.
Pets are likely to come to Conan Exiles this August.
Striped hyenas are possible companions – if you take good care of the babies.
Taming and using animals in Conan Exiles
It has been known for a while that pets are to be a part of Conan Exiles. In the newsletter, developer Funcom explains exactly how you will be able to tame pets and what benefits they will provide.
Step 1 – Obtain young animals: To tame an animal, you need to find young animals or eggs in the world. You can find both in the open world, where you can simply collect them, or at rare traders.
Eggs will eventually hatch in your inventory and be replaced by a young animal, as if you had picked one up. To prevent the young animals from dying, you need to “convert” them, similar to slaves.
These animals will be available in Conan Exiles
Funcom has attached a list of initially available species:
Bears
Hyenas
Crocodiles
Ostriches
Jungle birds
Rhinos
Locusts
Stone noses
Wild boars
Gazelles
Camels
Slate-backed
Spiders
Big cats
Wolves
Some baby animals are already exploring the Exiled Lands.
New building: Enclosures
Step 2 – Taming animals: Once you have a young animal in your inventory, you need to place it in an enclosure. Enclosures are new buildings that will be introduced, available in wood, steel, and hardened steel. The quality of the enclosure affects the quality of the adult animal.
A young animal grows up in an enclosure and will slowly become a companion, similar to a slave in the Wheel of Pain. However, you need to feed it. Each animal has different food preferences. If you feed it with food it likes, you will get better animals.
Baby hyenas can grow into regular hyenas with normal nutrition, into striped hyenas with better nutrition, and with the best nutrition, with some luck, into rare “Greater” hyenas.
This is what the enclosures look like.
Food is the most important
Step 3 – Deploying animals: Once you have an adult animal, you can either take it with you to accompany you or leave it in the enclosure. In both cases, however, you need to feed it by putting food in the animal’s inventory or providing a trough.
If you want an animal as a companion, you can also simply use and place it from your inventory, just like slaves. Animals like wolves and hyenas will help you in combat. Other animals like camels can carry more loads for you with a larger inventory. However, you cannot ride them.
If you choose to leave the animals in the enclosure, they can produce resources for you. From simple dung or stone to crystals and iron ore, which you can obtain from stone noses, they can provide you with many useful materials.
Stone noses can produce iron for you.
A new religion: Jhebbal Sag
Along with the animal companions, a new religion will be introduced with the patch that you can join. The god Jhebbal Sag, the Beast King, serves as a patron for animals and is expected to offer benefits for animal breeding at his temples.
Jhebbal Sag’s true form.
However, what exactly you can do with Jhebbal Sag in relation to the animals is still not clearly defined.
Do you need help with the game? Useful guides to Conan Exiles:
An annoying bug is causing issues in World of Warcraft. Players are losing their entire quest progress – help seems impossible.
After a small patch of the WoW servers, there have been numerous complaints from players. Apparently, a new error has crept in, causing the quest log of a character to be completely deleted. All quests are then canceled.
Cancellation of all quests in the quest log: Numerous players report that when logging into their characters or when “zoning” – that is, switching from one area to another – their quest log is suddenly empty. All quests are canceled. This is particularly frustrating for larger missions that take weeks or months, such as certain raid quests. Sometimes, one must form raid groups for several weeks to complete missions.
No refunds possible: Blizzard has already stated in the forum that restoring the old quest progress is not possible. A “rollback” of the servers is also not an option. An exception applies to quests where actual quest items are accumulated in the inventory. These should be restored to their old status after accepting the quest again.
Hotfix is ineffective: Blizzard reacted quickly and already deployed a hotfix after a few hours that was supposed to fix the problem. However, it did not. Many players are still reporting that their quest log automatically clears and all quests are canceled.
If you want to be safe, you should not log into characters that have an important quest in the log until a final solution is provided.
Given the severity of the problem, it can be expected that Blizzard will deliver a working fix within a few hours.
Are you affected by the bug? Were any of your quests reset? Or are you lucky and spared?
The action MMO TERA has a lot planned for the coming months. Recently, a roadmap was presented that shows the new content for the rest of the year 2018.
After a server merge for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is scheduled for August 21, EnMasse has a lot planned for TERA on consoles. A new roadmap now shows what content players can expect for the rest of the year and early 2019. Among other things, two new classes will be added to the action MMO in the coming months.
New class Ninja arrives in September
Popular class coming soon to consoles: The Ninja class will join TERA on consoles in September. Players have long been asking when the Ninja, which they already know from the PC version of the game, will also be playable on consoles.
In January 2019, the next addition follows: The Valkyrie class will come to consoles at the beginning of next year.
More content planned: In addition to the two classes, gameplay will occasionally be spiced up with events and occurrences. Events for Halloween and Christmas have already been announced.
Additionally, EnMasse promises further functions for guilds as well as endgame content. TERA is set to receive “a steady stream of new content, while changes and quality-of-life updates will be made based on player feedback.”

In Fortnite, Epic has implemented its plan and actually weakened building in a patch. However, not all players are happy about this. Critics fear that Fortnite loses its “key element” with building. Additionally, professionals now have a new scapegoat when they lose: It’s the meta’s fault.
The wooden wall starts with 80 hit points instead of 100
A stone wall starts with 80 instead of 90
Additionally, buildings now have fewer maximum hit points:
The wooden wall now has only 150 instead of 200
The metal wall has more hit points: 500 instead of 400 – but it takes 25 seconds to reach these points; previously, the metal wall reached 400 after 20 seconds
No more building, please
Why was this done? Epic had already stated at the end of June: It cannot be that building is the only option. Players should also be able to win without building. There should be multiple ways to the top. Different playstyles should lead to victory.
Since then it was clear: something would change. Epic is going to nerf building in Fortnite.
The extensive and massive building is expressed in Fortnite in two extreme cases:
Once it is built astonishingly quickly when two top players face each other – it’s about who occupies the high ground and builds the height advantage. Fortresses grow to the sky in no time at all according to certain patterns
Protest against the new building: Even before the nerf, streamers had spoken out against Epic changing building. For streamers, building is a crucial element of Fortnite and the feature that defines the game and sets it apart from other games.
On one hand, top players see building as the key element that allows the better player to prevail.
On the other hand, “building” was a primal promise of Fortnite. A reddit thread stating: “After the building nerfs, we need to remind Epic of something” received over 7300 upvotes. This was the reminder image:
New scapegoat: The silly new meta
Esport players have a new enemy, the meta: Now that the changes are really active, some are complaining that “forts” in Fortnite can no longer withstand enough damage.
Here, pro player Jake “Poach” Brumleve from Liquid shows clear frustration in the stream because his cover is being shot down. However, his opponent here uses a minigun, a weapon specifically designed to destroy buildings.

Some already call the new meta “spray and pray.” Critics of the new meta believe that it is the decline of “Fortnite with skill.” However, the changes are still relatively minor.
What comes next? One can be curious about how this will develop. Were the changes a week ago already the end of the building nerfs in Fortnite or just the beginning?
At least a sniper rifle is to come that will shoot through walls. One can imagine how professionals will react should someone eliminate them with it.

What is No Man’s Sky? No Man’s Sky offers exploration of a surreal and colorful universe. The game is a sandbox game with no right path to follow. It is more of a journey of discovery. Before the release in 2016, there was a huge hype that the game could not live up to. Players were more than furious and quickly set No Man’s Sky aside.
What is NEXT? This update came in July and is twice the size of the entire base game with all expansions. A new hype was ignited. This time No Man’s Sky hit the mark, giving the entire game a graphical overhaul. Additionally, a “real” multiplayer was finally introduced, as well as freighters, and bases can now be built infinitely.
The contents of the Alola eggs in Pokémon GO have changed. The chance of encountering an Alolan Vulpix is now higher.
Trainers have researched: The community from TheSilphRoad has spent the last few days researching Alola eggs. They noticed that the distribution has changed since the addition of Alolan Diglett and Alolan Geodude. One Pokémon has even been completely removed.
Rattata no longer in Alola eggs
The research: On July 20, Alolan Diglett and Alolan Geodude were added as possible rewards for hatching 7KM eggs in Pokémon GO. Since that day, researchers from TheSilphRoad have hatched 450 fresh Alola eggs.
The results: This research has shown that the rarity values of the Pokémon from the Alola eggs have changed.
The chance of catching an Alolan Diglett, Meowth, Geodude, Sandshrew, or Grimer is roughly equal. The chance for these Pokémon as loot from a 7KM egg is about 19% each. The remaining 5% belong to Alolan Vulpix, which is the rarest monster in these egg rewards.
Goodbye: Rattata apparently no longer belongs in the pool of Alola eggs. During the research, not a single one hatched from an Alola egg. You can still find the monster in the wild. This should please many trainers, as Rattata was one of the monsters that frequently came from eggs. Players were already annoyed by getting the same monsters repeatedly.
More Vulpix = More Joy: The Alola form of Vulpix is one of the rarer finds in Pokémon GO. As the research from TheSilphRoad shows, the monster now appears more frequently as loot. The hatch rate has been slightly increased from 3.4% to 5%. Alolan Grimer is also coming out of the eggs more frequently now. Its chance has increased from 13.8% to 19%.
Ultimately, this change has brought more variety to the Alola eggs.
In the second phase of the “War of Thorns” event in World of Warcraft players finally learn how the World Tree Teldrassil is set on fire. However, the way this happens causes great discontent. Some direct their anger at the WoW author Christie Golden.
Insults and death threats: Especially players of the Horde faction are angry about the resolution of the conflict. Since the release of the “Warbringer” video for Sylvanas and the questline in Darnassus related to the War of Thorns, tensions have been rising.
Writers and developers are being insulted and receiving suicide demands. The threats are even directed at people who have nothing to do with the development – like the writer Christie Golden.
The burning Teldrassil – reason for the uproar.
The Horde is angry
The strong reactions are coming from the community in general, but especially Horde players feel attacked by the course of events. They fear that history is repeating itself and that they will be portrayed in a bad light again.
Attention! The following text contains spoilers for the “War of Thorns” event!
The Teldrassil is burning – out of hatred: The reason for the uproar is Sylvanas Windrunner, Warchief of the Horde. In a recently released video, which can be seen during the questline related to the “War of Thorns,” she ignites Teldrassil, the home of the Night Elves.
The tree burns and takes hundreds of innocent civilians with it to their death. On the Alliance side, players in WoW try to save the innocents but fail in their attempt. Sylvanas’ motive is purely hatred, as the video shows.
Horde players are forced to assist in the questline of the “War of Thorns” with Sylvanas in her act. Therefore, a genocide is now officially attached to the hands of the entire Horde.
Why this presents a problem: Such an action probably wouldn’t have caused such an uproar if it had not happened before. In Mists of Pandaria, the then Warchief Garrosh Hellscream acted similarly.
Hellscream destroyed Theramore with a mana bomb – thereby turning Jaina Proudmoore into the bitter person she is today. Garrosh’s image worsened throughout the expansion until he served as the last raid boss.
The Horde had to eliminate their own Warchief and admit that they had long been on the side of evil. This story is now in danger of repeating itself.
Some are actually escalating on Twitter and telling well-known WoW authors that they should kill themselves. The tweets have since been deleted. Here are some of the “milder ones.” (via mmo-champion.)
Community fights back against the hate: Although some players are upset and overreacting, some members of the community are also trying to smooth things over. In forums and on reddit, fans are calling for not to react so harshly.
They want to distance themselves from the calls for suicide, defend Christie Golden, and show that the community does not hate the developers and Christie – especially since Christie Golden herself had nothing to do with the videos. The “Warbringer” story was developed before she came on board.
Golden is likely serving as a lightning rod for the anger of some parts of the community.
All the Warbringer pieces where well into development before I came on board.
Zenimax Online is currently in a generous mood. Players of The Elder Scrolls Online will be showered with many valuable items for logging in daily throughout August 2018. Does the release of Battle for Azeroth in WoW have anything to do with it?
Since Summerset, there have been login rewards for The Elder Scrolls Online. Players who log in every day can expect valuable login rewards at the end of the month. Zenimax aims to retain players in ESO this way.
However, Zenimax is particularly generous in August. Players will receive valuable Crown items after just a few days.
Almost too much of a good thing
Abundant Crown Crates: Players can receive a total of 11 free Crown crates throughout the month if they log in regularly.
After 14 days, players receive 3 Scrolls of Learning with 150% more experience gain.
Day 17 is especially worthwhile. You can open 4 Crown Dwemer crates at once.
From day 18, you will receive another Crown Dwemer crate every day.
The Crown Dwemer crates contain numerous items thematically related to the Dwemer race. Especially the mechanical mounts are real eye-catchers. If you like the Dwemer items, it’s especially worth logging into ESO in August.
“I love these login rewards”
Players think it’s great. Fans appreciate this spontaneous generosity from Zenimax. Such good rewards for daily logging in have never been seen before. Especially the 11 Crown crates and the riding hours are generating excitement among fans.
Thank you, Blizzard. Some players believe that these great login rewards might have something to do with the August release of the new WoW expansion Battle for Azeroth. They suspect that Zenimax aims to keep players in ESO, preventing them from migrating to WoW.
A player on Reddit thanks Blizzard directly for the wonderful login rewards. He hopes Blizzard will also release an expansion in September so that Elder Scrolls Online players receive more great login rewards.
