The developers of World of Warcraft have revealed the key dates for the upcoming content patch “Spirits of K’aresh” as well as the 3rd season of “The War Within”.

When is the new update coming? The next major content package for WoW: The War Within, “Spirits of K’aresh” will be released on August 6, 2025. On that day, the 3rd season of the current expansion will also begin, with the key contents of the new endgame phase – as usual – released in stages over the following weeks.

Here is the official roadmap for season 3 of WoW: The War Within:

Week of August 6
- Campaign chapters 1 – 3
- Dungeons: Dungeons on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic 0 difficulty (except Tazavesh).
- Depths (all levels, no Generous Depths or Keys)
- The merit for the Great Vault begins
Week of August 13
- Campaign chapters 4 and epilogue of The War Within
- Raid – Manaforge Omega: 1st wing of the raid browser, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic
- New world boss: Reshanor the Unbound
- Dungeons: Mythic+, Tazavesh: Marvelous Streets and So’leah’s Chess (all difficulties) as well as Tazavesh, the Veiled Market (Heroic).
- PvP season 3
- Depths: Generous Depths and Keys, challenge boss, new levels and curiosities for Brann
- Rewards from the Great Vault will become available
Week of August 20
- Raid – Manaforge Omega: 2nd wing of the raid browser and story mode
Week of August 27
- Raid – Manaforge Omega: 3rd wing of the raid browser

How is the LFR mode of the new raid structured? Starting August 13, a new wing of the LFR mode for Manaforge Omega will open each week. Here is the breakdown of the 8 bosses:

Week of August 13: 1st wing of LFR: Might of the Shadow Watch, featuring Plexus Watcher, Loomithar, and Soulbinder Naazindhri
Week of August 20: 2nd wing of LFR: Monsters in the Sand, featuring Forgeweaver Araz, the Soulhunters, and Fraktillus
Week of August 27: 3rd wing of LFR: The Heart of Darkness, featuring Nexus King Salhadaar and Dimensius the Devourer

What rewards are up for grabs? Through the raid challenge, you can earn the new class armor sets, as well as cool mounts like the Unbound Starweaver, the toy Cosmic Respite, and more.

Similar to the Garbagio Loyalty Club, there will also be a glory path in Manaforge Omega with 15 ranks, where you can earn additional rewards and enhancement effects. This is called “Vandals of the Manaforge”. A detailed list of glory rewards can be found at worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com.

Exciting rewards are also awaiting you in the Mythic Plus or PvP area. These include various mounts and titles.
