According to recent reports from the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo plans to release two new versions of its Nintendo Switch gaming console. One is expected to be more powerful – the other weaker and less expensive. Both new Switch models could be released as early as 2019.
Where is the information coming from? The renowned Wall Street Journal quotes “people familiar with the matter” as anonymous sources.
This is the idea: Nintendo plans to maintain sales in the 3rd year of the Nintendo Switch and is therefore looking for a boost to keep the Switch in the market.
These are the models: According to the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo plans:
a version of the Switch with enhanced features aimed at enthusiastic gamers – the version is not supposed to be as powerful as the PlayStation 4 Pro or Microsoft’s Xbox One X
and a more affordable option for casual players – Nintendo sees this as a successor to the 3DS devices. It is thought that those have become outdated.
The cheaper version is expected to forego the vibration features.
When will the two new models be released? It is assumed that Nintendo will present them at E 2019. The gaming fair will take place from June 11 to June 14. The two models are expected to be released a few months later.
This could happen as early as summer or fall 2019.
Still regarded as a milestone for the Switch: Zelda Breath of the Wild
This is what it is about: The report from the Wall Street Journal strengthens rumors from the fall of 2018 that emerged in Japan. (via resetera)
At that time, it was mentioned that the Switch’s sales were solid, but no longer a pleasant surprise for Nintendo. Therefore, Nintendo plans to take action in 2019. The report came from the Japanese Wall Street Journal and quoted “suppliers” as the source.
However, it was not yet known in which direction the new models might go. Now it looks like Nintendo is covering both options:
a “better” Switch for core gamers who do not mind spending every cent they spend on gaming
and a stripped-down version for people who only occasionally pick up the Switch.
Battlefield 5 finally receives its promised Battle Royale mode, Firestorm. We have summarized some of the most important aspects you should know about the release.
On March 25 at 10:00 AM our time, Battlefield 5 will launch the Firestorm mode. Here you will get the most important information about Battlefield 5’s in-house Battle Royale at a glance.
What is Firestorm?
Firestorm is Battlefield 5’s attempt to compete in the popular and competitive Battle Royale genre.
It is a new game mode for multiplayer. Up to 64 players fight in typical Battlefield fashion on land, water, and in the air. A round lasts approximately 20 minutes.
All of this takes place on a massive map, which is continually restricted by a circular and all-consuming firestorm that destroys everything in its path. Whoever stands last wins.
What sets Firestorm apart from the competition?
Battlefield 5 does not simply adapt the tried and true Battle Royale principle – it also mixes in some Battlefield-specific elements to create its own experience.
These are the key points that distinguish Battlefield 5 from the competition:
Vehicles: True to Battlefield, there will be 17 different vehicles, including tanks, transporters, tractors, and even a helicopter. Vehicles can provide a crucial advantage in important moments but can also be countered by infantry.
Optional tasks: In Firestorm, you can take objectives such as bunkers or supply points, rewarding you with the best vehicles or equipment.
Reinforcements: Even in seemingly hopeless situations, you can turn the tide with reinforcements. You can call for support in the form of devastating V-1 rockets, artillery strikes, supply deliveries, or even vehicles to regain the upper hand.
Destructible environment: As expected, the Firestorm mode allows you to flatten almost anything. With tanks, artillery attacks, or the feared V-1, you can deny enemies any cover – whether it’s a house or a bunker. Those who only hide in buildings and camp will have a tough time.
Can I play Firestorm solo?
Many potential players wonder if they can enjoy the new mode of Battlefield 5 as a lone wolf. After all, the latest Battle Royale hit, Apex Legends – also from EA – relies on 3-man teams. This discourages many potential players who would prefer to play solo.
This will not be a problem in Firestorm. Battlefield 5’s Battle Royale can be played
solo
in duos, meaning two players (though this will come later, limited time)
or in squads, meaning four players
.
The three different formats are noticeably different. If you die in a solo match, that’s it for you. In a squad, there are options such as revives, resupply, or equipment swaps.
What does the world of Firestorm offer?
Firestorm takes place on the largest map in the history of the Battlefield series so far, the largest map overall.
The Battle Royale map is named Halvøy and is 10 times larger than Hamada – the current largest map in Battlefield.
Halvøy and Hamada in direct size comparison
In this vast game world, there are various climate zones with corresponding vegetation and different weather conditions.
For example, in the mountains, you will face not only potential enemies but also snow and limited visibility. In forested areas, an enemy can be lurking behind every tree. In wide, temperate regions, you constantly risk being caught by a sniper.
Those seeking shelter in buildings can never feel 100% secure. Due to environmental destruction, it can also hit you there at any time.
This is what Halvøy looks like from the air
Is Firestorm Free-2-Play?
Here too, Battlefield 5 sets itself apart from numerous competitors and takes a unique path. Similar to Blackout from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the Firestorm mode is free to play for all owners of the base game.
All those who already have Battlefield 5 will receive Firestorm as a free update as part of the Tides of War, since the Battle Royale mode was not completed at the launch of the title.

A new puzzle has been solved in The Division 2. Agents were able to summon a new Hunter who drops the 7th Ivory Key. Here’s how to find the Ivory Key.
This puzzle is about: In The Division 2, there are several locations where strange symbols are written on the walls. Most of these are hidden in graffiti, like in this one:
The symbols are in the graffiti, on the right you see the location and the decrypted text
There are a total of 8 of these texts, 6 have already been solved and just a few hours ago the 7th puzzle was mastered.
What do the texts reveal? These secret graffiti texts are related to the Hunters and the Ivory Keys. Through the Hunters, you can get cool Hunter masks and Ivory Keys needed for a strange chest in the White House.
The Ivory Key chest is located in the White House. If you run through the main entrance, pass the quartermaster, and then turn right, you’ll enter the room where you can change your appearance as soon as you unlock the barber. The chest is in this room.
Location of the Ivory Key chest
How to solve the puzzle
If you decrypt the text on the graffiti image above, you get this sentence:
“AGRARIAN TRUCKS SIGNAL THE RIGHT PLACE A WRONG TURN THEYLL PUMP THE BREAKS ONE F(OR?) ONE AIM WELL BREAK THE GLASS A GREAT REWARD AWAITS YOUR ASS”
From this, the info can be drawn that agricultural trucks point to the right place, that you need to aim well, that you have to break glass, and that a great reward awaits you.
The correct location has now been found and the correct mechanism triggered there.
What you need to do: Go to this area on the map, located southeast of the White House (and west of the Castle Settlement):
There is a truck. Climb onto it and look at the building with many windows.
Now you need to shoot some windows in the correct order. In this image, you can see the correct order:
Start at the bottom left, the top right is the end
If you miss a shot, you need to log out and try again.
If you hit the 16 windows in the correct order, a Hunter will appear on your right side. Kill him, and he will drop the 7th Ivory Key.
That’s it! This mechanism should work day and night. Many agents are already reporting in the comments that it works for them too.
Information about the Ivory Keys
What you need to know: The Ivory Key chest in the White House requires a total of 8 Ivory Keys to be opened.
You can obtain these from the Hunters – particularly intelligent and wicked enemies. So far, however, only 6 keys have been obtained from the Hunters, the 7th has now been discovered. The 8th is still missing.
However, until recently, the chest could still be opened if you played in friends’ instances, allowing you to loot the Ivory Keys again and collect all 8 keys. Massive has patched this method, and it is no longer possible.
Therefore, it is known that the chest contains this loot:
the “Shield Splinterer F2000” assault rifle with random talents and scaling gear score depending on the world tier
a matching white weapon skin
and the notorious Hunter axe as a pendant for your backpack
What about the last puzzle? The puzzle for the 8th and last Ivory Key is still being investigated. You can find the secret writing at the Washington Monument. It states: “SCAN THREE LOST SOULS FIND THE TIME TO PAY RESPECTS SOULS HONORED AFTER DARK RETURN TO FIRST MONUMENT AND RELEASE ANOTHER”
Although Patch 8.20 for Fortnite is still a few days away, Epic Games already gives an outlook in the patch notes on what will change. The update addresses some serious bugs.
What does Patch 8.20 bring? In Fortnite, players are currently struggling with many bugs. The new pirate cannons aim wherever they want. Some players become invincible when lying on the ground. Others cannot unfreeze their feet. Fortnite aims to tackle many of the current errors in Patch 8.20.
These bugs will be fixed: On Reddit, Community Coordinator MrPopoFTS showed which bugs are likely to be fixed in the upcoming update. This involves many issues that the community brought to the developers’ attention.
These issues with the cannons will be fixed: All over the map of Fortnite, you can find cannons in Season 8. At the pirate camps as well. However, the cannons are not working properly, which is why the following issues will be addressed:
Sometimes players fly in a different direction than they aimed with the cannon when they launch themselves
Players sometimes cannot enter the cannons if they are too close to other structures
You can find the complete planned patch notes here on Reddit. However, keep in mind that these are not final. This means that not everything mentioned here may actually be fixed in Patch 8.20. “There can always be a bug fix that doesn’t work as we envisioned it or doesn’t make it into the patch,” writes MrPopoTFS.
In the meantime, prices for many icons have dropped significantly, especially base icon cards have become affordable for many players.
While they are still not very cheap, you can get very strong cards with great links for your team chemistry for under 500,000 coins.
These are the advantages of icon cards: In FUT, icons have the unique advantage of generating at least one yellow link with every card. This is possible because icons are not assigned to any club or league. This is quite helpful for your team’s chemistry.
Michael Ballack
An excellent choice for the CM or CDM position is Michael Ballack in his base icon version with an overall rating of 86.
Base Icon Michael Ballack (86)
Why the card is interesting: The base icon card of Michael Ballack has solid values in all important areas. He has a strong shot and very good passing stats. He also boasts 4-star skill moves and 4-star weak foot.
Defensively, the card also has a lot to offer, but with the chemistry style “Shadow,” Ballack becomes a fantastic player for the CDM position.

Rui Costa
A good player for the attacking midfield is Rui Costa.
Prime Icon Rui Costa (90)
Why the card is interesting: The stats of the Portuguese leave little to be desired in this price segment. He is fast, has strong dribbling and passing stats, and a good shot. He also has 4-star skills and 4-star weak foot.
A well-rounded strong card for the CAM, where one looks in vain for weaknesses.
Current prices:
PS4: 440,000
Xbox One: 410,000
PC: 566,000
Hidetoshi Nakata
Another strong option for the attacking midfield is the Prime Icon card of Hidetoshi Nakata.
Prime Icon Hidetoshi Nakata (88)
Why the card is interesting: With an overall rating of 88, this Prime Icon may seem unassuming, but don’t let that fool you. This card is an outstanding and affordable choice for the attacking midfield.
His stats are strong. Especially his speed, passing stats and dribbling are worth highlighting. However, his shooting stats are also good, especially in combination with the 4-star weak foot rating. His only weakness is his physical stats, where Nakata could certainly be a bit stronger.
Current prices:
PS4: 350,000
Xbox One: 317,000
PC: 500,000
Marco van Basten
You get a fantastic striker with the base icon card of Marco van Basten.
Base Icon Marco van Basten (89)
Why the card is interesting: With this card, you get a true striker. The offensive stats are fantastic, he is fast and has decent dribbling.
Especially noteworthy are his shot stats. These are, in combination with his 4-star weak foot, extraordinarily strong and difficult to surpass. Therefore, it shouldn’t be hard to score many goals with this card.
Current prices:
PS4: 370,000
Xbox One: 350,000
PC: 510,000
How to Get Icons
Sources for Icons:
On the Transfer Market: It is possible to buy icon cards on the transfer market. Currently, prices for many icon cards are quite low. Throughout FUT 19, prices will continue to drop.
According to some leaks and data miners, one of Wattson’s abilities is said to be a shock trap. Fans speculate that these work similarly to Caustic’s gas traps.
They suspect items on the ground or on the wall that shock and briefly stun or slow down affected opponents.
Shroud probably already knows Wattson
This is what Sony confirmed: In the text, it is not only mentioned that there is a new Legend. There will be more items coming:
a new “weapon set”
which probably includes another weapon besides the new Havoc
new cosmetics for each new Legend and each weapon
The new weapon could be the L-STAR, which has already appeared frequently in leaks. The L-STAR is said to be a light machine gun that does not require ammunition. Instead, it can “overheat” and is limited by that.
Will the assault rifle “Havoc” have companions?
How reliable is the information? That a new Legend is coming is very certain because the information comes directly from Sony and not from data miners.
The information about which Legend it will be is still speculation.
For me, Patrick, this DOTA 2 clip is really cool. Even though I have little knowledge of the game and I generally find streams boring.
What’s it about? A video is currently popular on Reddit that shows DOTA 2 gameplay. For me, it’s actually more of a reason to skip the video. While I really like the MOBA League of Legends, I couldn’t connect with DOTA 2. You really have to familiarize yourself with the heroes and their abilities to understand what’s actually happening on the screen.
But this video is different. The title on Reddit is: “Dota 2 caster works great to Eminem”. Because the commentators (casters) in eSports titles really get into it, I had an idea of what to expect. And that made me curious.

What does the video show? It starts with the intro of “The Real Slim Shady”, a song by the popular rapper Eminem. As the song begins, gameplay from a DOTA 2 tournament fits perfectly. Instead of Eminem, you hear the commentator of the tournament. The caster ODPixeL comments on the game at high speed, but remains understandable, similar to what Eminem does in his song. Players calculated that the caster in this clip reaches 253 words per minute, which is about 4.2 words per second.
This combination of DOTA commentary and “The Real Slim Shady” works surprisingly well. I felt super entertained for the nearly 3 minutes. Even though I didn’t know any of the heroes or their abilities beforehand and generally have little knowledge of the game.
Nonetheless, the gameplay was also interesting because of the atmosphere created by the song. A tight team fight, with a lot of “back and forth”. It illustrates how much influence eSports commentators have on the enjoyment of viewers. Even if the video is already older, it is still enjoyable to watch today.
What do viewers of the video say? In the comments on YouTube, people praise the video. “This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen,” it says.
On Reddit, someone writes, “At some points, I thought he was rapping.”
“Can someone confirm for us, who know nothing about DOTA 2, that the guy is not actually rapping but commenting on the game?” asks a user. It is then confirmed that the caster is indeed commenting.
The rapper caster ODPixeL has been praised for his talent elsewhere and compared to a rapper. As in this video, which has already been viewed over 700,000 times.

Fans have been discussing a “Pick&Ban” feature for Overwatch almost since the game’s beginning. Lead Hero Designer Geoff Goodman has now commented on it.
Why is the feature not here yet? The main reason why heroes cannot be permanently selected and banned in Overwatch is the current number of heroes.
With the new hero Baptiste, Overwatch has just received its 30th hero. According to Goodman, the hero roster would need to be significantly larger for such a system to make sense:
At the moment, we don’t think we are at a point where we have enough heroes for it to make sense. However, if we reach a point where it feels “too much,” then we could do something like that.
At the moment, however, no “Pick&Ban” feature is planned.
The current hero roster is not large enough yet.
What is this feature for? The system is likely familiar to many eSports fans and players from the MOBA genre, such as League of Legends or from shooters like Rainbow Six: Siege.
In the “Pick&Ban” system, both teams take turns going through the hero list. They choose a hero to be played by their team, which is then permanently selected. Subsequently, the opponents choose according to specific patterns.
Between these “Picks,” there are then “Bans.” Each team bans one or more heroes for the match. These are then not available for play in a match.
Despite Baptiste, there are still not enough heroes
What is the purpose of the system? Fans hope that such a system would provide a better gaming experience in ranked matches and also a better viewing experience at eSports events like the Overwatch League.
Would the heroine Brigitte be the first to get banned?
This is the criticism of it: There is still no single, concrete idea for implementation. Many fans have already thought about how a “Pick&Ban” system in Overwatch could look. However, they keep running into problems:
Overwatch is built around changing heroes. This would be hardly possible with Picks&Bans.
A compromise between hero selection and Picks&Bans is hardly possible for many.
In the professional area, many see the problem that simply unpopular heroes like Bastion could be banned every round. It would change nothing.
Whether and how the system will be integrated in the distant future remains to be seen. Currently, it seems too complicated and not yet meaningful. Overwatch needs more heroes first.
What do you think about the system?
One hope of the players is to see unpopular heroes more frequently on the big screen. Like a heroine who had her first appearance:
Professionals can earn real money in Fortnite , as the prize pools in tournaments are quite high: Especially with the upcoming World Cup. For a professional player, however, it’s too much. Because he believes that Fortnite is not ready for such high amounts.
That’s why Fortnite is unsuitable for such high prize pools: Pros Tfue and Cloak have already won thousands of dollars in prize money themselves, but for Cloak, the prize pools have become too high.
Fortnite has too many bugs and is therefore not yet ready for such large sums of money to be played for.
What the professionals think about the prize money in Fortnite
This is what the pros say: The two players Tfue and Cloak from the FaZe clan are among the strongest duos in competitive Fortnite. They are currently preparing for the Fortnite World Championship, playing a lot together, and also streaming. Hence, the topic of “high prize money” came up.
Cloak says in the stream:
“It’s actually stupid how much money is at stake. The game is by no means where it needs to be to have this amount of money as a prize pool.”
When it comes to so much money, it’s “just dumb,” he says.

There are often tournaments where players can win over 200,000 dollars.
The World Cup alone has a budget of 30 million US dollars, and the winner in solo mode receives 3 million $
The World Cup has a total prize pool of 100 million dollars
For Cloak, that’s too much. Apparently, the fun is also lost. Because with so much money, the enjoyment of the game is no longer the focus.
There are opposing voices: The probably most famous Fortnite streamer, Ninja, sees it differently. For him, the prize money is reasonable.
He mocks the complaints. For him, the complaint seems absurd.
Ninja says that there are always reasons for the pros to complain. If the prize money were different, the players would find a new reason to complain about Epic.
High prize pools increase the attractiveness of tournaments and foster a vibrant eSports scene.
Ironically, Tfue and Cloak declined in February to participate in the ESL tournament in Katowice. They thought the prize money was too low (via dotesports). Altogether, there was 500,000$ at stake – the winners in duo mode received 80,000$.
The two probably thought that they could earn more during the regular streams over those three days lost for the event in Poland.
A staircase glitch is causing a stir in The Division 2, where a square without texture prevents players and NPCs from using a specific staircase. This bug can even decide life and death.
This is what the glitch is about: A staircase located at the Ivy Tunnel checkpoint is currently impassable. Players are increasingly reporting in the Subreddit of The Division 2 that a flat square is blocking the way.
Not even NPCs can use this staircase without problems. This causes curious situations that can cost both agents and NPCs their lives.
The rectangle both takes and saves lives
This is what the glitch looks like: Players are sharing several screenshots of the glitch via Reddit. It appears that a texture is not loading properly, resulting in a strange square floating in the air.
Therefore, fixes for “weird doors” were included in all patch notes. Even when there were no more significant door bugs known, there was always a fix for another strange door. Now there would be “weird stairs” as well.
The bug seems to occur for every player. Source: Reddit.
However, the bug can decide life and death, as these two examples show.
The user mfathrowawaya reports: “This square saved me during my first encounter with the Sledgehammer guy. He couldn’t get through either.” Another one reports that this spot cost him his life when he wanted to retreat.
In a way, this staircase can decide over life and death, both for players and for NPCs. Not every fan is thrilled about this. Most hope for a quick fix to the bug.
This is what the developer says: Massive is already aware of the problem and is working on a quick solution. The fix may come with the next patch, which is to be released soon.
Capcom and Monster Hunter World asked fans to submit new weapon designs. One of them will be included in the big Iceborne expansion. Now the developers are calling for a vote: Which weapon should win?
This is what the vote is about: As has happened several times in the past, Capcom recently started a fan competition focused on weapon designs.
Fans were encouraged to submit their own ideas, designs, and weapon creations. After the submission deadline, a vote will take place where fans can cast their votes on the various designs.
Now it’s time, and you can help decide. The call can be found on the official Twitter page of Monster Hunter World:

This energy blade looks like a fan decorated with feathers and could be straight out of the Final Fantasy universe.
Fans are currently having heated discussions over the close race between the two fan designs.
On Reddit, it has been jokingly titled “The Current State of MHW,” calling it the “Civil War” after the Marvel storyline:
If the current standings hold until the end of the vote, some players are already suggesting bringing both weapons into the game since each would win a vote.
When does the voting end? You should hurry, as the voting ends tomorrow, March 25 at 7 PM.
There will also be more votes for armor and Palico gear, so the contest will continue for a while.
A diligent collector and MeinMMO reader has experienced his happiest week in World of Warcraft. In just a few days, he received six new mounts. He shared his story with us.
Which mounts are we talking about? The player Alhas, alias Cizre, received a total of six mounts during the week of February 21 to February 27, some of which he has been farming for a long time:
Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent (Mogu’shan Vaults on February 21)
Stormdrake of the Valarjar (Valarjar Paragon chest, also on February 21)
Leyweaver Flying Carpet (Nightfallen Paragon chest, February 22)
Colossus of the Kor’kron (Siege of Orgrimmar, February 24)
Riding Turtle (Fishing in the Garrison in Draenor, February 26)
Experiment B-12 (Dragon Soul, February 27)
The Colossus of the Kor’kron
The Leyweaver Flying Carpet
Experiment 12-B
The Riding Turtle
The Astral Cloud Serpent
The Stormdrake of the Valarjar
He himself describes these few days as his “perfect week.”
Many of these mounts are extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors. In particular, many fans are still hunting the mounts from the Paragon chests, as they require a lot of reputation grinding.
How did Cizre obtain the mounts? Cizre only acquired the new mounts through hard work, combined with a good dose of luck. The Cloud Serpent, the Colossus, and the Experiment are rare drops from certain bosses in raids from Pandaria and Cataclysm.
The Stormdrake and the carpet are “Paragon mounts” from Legion. Paragon chests are obtained when you farm additional reputation points after reaching the reputation status “Exalted.” The mounts have a drop chance of only a few percent and are therefore particularly hard to farm due to the reputation.
Grinding reputation can take time
The Riding Turtle is a loot piece from the cave dwellers of the Garrisons in Draenor. To summon it, you must throw Frostdeep Eels (Horde) or Moonlight Carp (Alliance) into the Garrison pond. You only have a chance to catch the fish with a fishing hut at level 3, which takes a lot of time and patience for fishing.
This is how his guild reacted: After initial congratulations, Cizre’s luck quickly became a burden to his guildmates. Already after the 5th mount, some people in the guild complained about his luck.
Luck can also annoy a guild
When his luck continued, some were apparently even more upset. Cizre tells us:
I was practically hated by my guild for having so much luck
However, since he is still part of the guild roster and plays with the people, the “hate” was probably meant to be more humorous. A bit of envy probably did seep in for some of his comrades.
What do you think of Cizre’s lucky streak?
Not necessarily on rare, but on special mounts, the community is currently hoping:
Under the current circumstances, it’s almost impossible to complete a 4-player raid in Pokémon GO solo. However, there is one exception: The Level 4 boss Tengulist can be defeated solo.
This is the raid boss in question: The current Level 4 boss Tengulist is still possible to defeat alone. This is something special, as Niantic made some changes to the raid bosses a few weeks ago that made it harder. As a result, Pokémon like Absol or Despotar could no longer be defeated solo.
Tengulist remains solo-capable. It is currently the only Level 4 boss that can be defeated without assistance.
How to defeat Tengulist solo
What counters do you need? Tengulist is of Dark and Grass type. This gives it a double weakness against Bug Pokémon. If you exploit this weakness, you can defeat Tengulist.
Watch a video here: The player “MJK151” demonstrates in a video how it can be accomplished solo. His team consists of 6 Bug Pokémon. 5 of those Pokémon are at maximum level.

This condition must be met: To defeat Tengulist solo, it must be raining in the game. With the weather bonus, you can then defeat Tengulist.
How to save time: The player in the video had 15 seconds of time left. It is thus quite easily achievable. If you do not have very strong Pokémon, you can save time by using a trick.
Create an empty battle team, just like in the video, and only switch this team once the lobby time has run out. This way, you save the annoying animation at the beginning and have saved 3-4 seconds.
Tengulist can even be defeated solo.
Are there other 4-player raids that can be accomplished solo? According to raid simulations, there are no other 4-player raids that can be completed alone.
Even those bosses that could previously be fought alone can no longer be done.
It was once possible to defeat Rizeros and Geowaz alone. This is no longer possible, according to the simulator.
The current legendary raid boss Dialga can already be defeated by two players:
The new online RPG Anthem is doing excellently with digital revenues of 100 million US dollars in the launch month of February 2019. It has earned more money than Apex Legends. However, there is a downside: The cash shop of Anthem contributes little to the revenues.
This is how well Anthem sold at release: After initially negative figures came in at the beginning, the situation has now improved significantly:
This is how much Apex Legends has earned: The new battle royale shooter from Respawn has a revenue of 92 million US dollars in terms of worldwide digital sales. This is the most successful launch month of a free-to-play title of all time, reports Superdata.
In February 2019, Anthem earned 8 million US dollars more than Apex Legends, even though Apex Legends was released about two weeks before Anthem.
For the legends, it went really well: 92 million US dollars at launch, which no free-to-play game managed before them.
Anthem at this level due to sold games
This is the catch with Anthem: Superdata reports that only 3.5 million US dollars of the revenue in February 2019 came from the “cash shop” and microtransactions of Anthem.
The vast majority of digital revenue comes from the sale of the game itself.
There seems to be too rarely something here that players want to buy.
After the release of Anthem, the game is to be financed exclusively through the cash shop. However, this does not seem to have worked too well in February.
While players started with some game currency in February, having a reserve before needing to use microtransactions, it seems there is also little available in the shop that the Lancers want to buy, as player reactions indicate.
This is the current situation with Anthem: The figures clearly indicate that BioWare was able to reach a large player base with Anthem and convince them to buy the game right at release.
Now, BioWare needs to ensure that the buyers become active players who stay in the game, enjoy it, and are willing to purchase something in the shop.
The beginning has been made for Anthem. The online RPG stands on a solid financial basis. Now it’s about building on this foundation.
This is the current situation for Apex Legends: Respawn and EA generated tremendous hype around Apex Legends at launch, among other things, with the expensively purchased help of star streamers.
This hype could be utilized by Respawn.
The question now is whether they can maintain this level over the next few months.
Although Apex Legends features fast-paced gameplay and an aggressive playstyle often leads to victory, there are many campers. Some of them are successful with their waiting playstyle. These campers have now had an important spot spoiled.
Which spot has been nerfed? It concerns the bunker that is popular among many players, located fairly centrally on the map of Apex Legends. The bunker connects the western part of the map with the eastern part and serves as a passage through a wide mountain range.
Especially towards the end of a round, the bunker is popular when it is within the zone. It then becomes essential at a certain point if you want to cross the mountains without taking damage from the zone.
Since the tunnels of the bunker are quite narrow and many rooms are built with doors, the bunker is popular among people who wait for other squads or want to kill them with cruel traps.
The location of the bunker
What has been nerfed? Previously, there was a small exhaust shaft above most of the doors in the bunker. There was enough space on it for two players to position themselves.
What was the purpose of that? From the outside, players were not seen on the shafts. Upon entering the room, you were virtually defenseless against the two. They could simply aim cleanly from above unnoticed and take out entire groups.
A popular tactic was to block the exit with Caustic’s gas traps and simply wipe out the team with poison gas. However, no one can camp there anymore due to the lack of shafts.
Can you still camp in the bunker? In short, yes.
The exhaust shafts in the doors were what made the bunker the most dangerous and annoying for campers. However, it still serves as a bottleneck, known as a “choke.”
Players who want to cross the bunker only have one long and narrow hallway. At many points, especially at the existing stairs, there is no cover.
Campers can still make easy prey here, especially with the right weapons, when enemies approach carelessly.
Especially shotguns are still very deadly in the bunker.
What do you think about the nerf?
Another design idea is reportedly causing greater problems in the game according to a professional:
In Destiny 2 brought the new season some familiar weapons back into the game. Among them is the Vanguard hand cannon “Service Revolver”: one of the best weapons in Destiny 2. What you need to know about the Service Revolver is summarized here for you.
This is the story of the weapon in Destiny 2: The Service Revolver was first introduced in the third season of Destiny 2. That was in May 2018. At that time, the hand cannon could only be obtained with a specific perk combination.
In the current Season of the Drifter 2019, the Vanguard weapon makes a comeback, this time with random perks.
The Service Revolver: What can the weapon do?
This is what makes the weapon special: The Service Revolver is a legendary hand cannon with precision frame. This places it in the same archetype as the infamous Guardian killers Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten.
However, the Service Revolver is located in the kinetic slot compared to its PvP counterparts. This makes it a precision hand cannon from Year 2 that does not occupy the energy weapon slot. A rarity: the only other exception is the exotic hand cannon Service Violation.
Thanks to random perks, this weapon competes with the two PvP top weapons.
These are the stats: The Service Revolver has a rate of fire of 180. It also has high stability and pretty good range. Reload speed and handling are relatively average, but you can change that with the right perks.
That’s why the Service Revolver is one of the best weapons: Thanks to the random rolls, you can even compete against the dominant top weapons in the Crucible. Certain weapon perks like Kill Clip or Snapshot prove particularly effective in keeping the TTK monsters in check.
With Kill Clip, you achieve the same TTK (Time to Kill) as that of Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten.
Those of you who snagged the Service Revolver back in Year 1 can obtain it from Zavala through Engrams. With each rank-up, you have the chance to get the Vanguard weapon again.
With a bit of luck, you will receive the Service Revolver with a good perk combination from Zavala.
If you missed your chance back then, you’ll need to complete 40 Strikes in the Strike playlist first. This will unlock the Triumph “Season 6: Finishes”. This enables you to buy the Service Revolver from Zavala for 100 Glimmer. After purchase, the weapon is included in Zavala’s loot pool.
Note: You do not have to complete the 40 Strikes with one character. The Triumph counts all Strike finishes on your account, so you can split them among your characters.
These weapon perks are suitable for the Service Revolver
The Service Revolver can receive a variety of different perks. Here we give you a few examples of bonuses that would be suitable for this weapon.
Weapon perks for PvE
Sights – Steady Hand HV, True Sight HV, Hitmark HV
For PvE, the well-known damage perks always prove to be the best choice. Triple Tap can be used in combination with Quickdraw, allowing you to shoot longer before needing to reload.
The Vanguard is always at the forefront of the defense of the Last City.
For the Crucible, you should aim for Kill Clip. This allows the Service Revolver to eliminate enemy Guardians with three precision hits. This puts you on par with the TTK (Time to Kill) of Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten.
To better compete against Not Forgotten, it’s advisable to use Snapshot.
Here Aztecross shows you how the Service Revolver performs in the Crucible:

The online game Fortnite earns Epic a ton of money. Epic is not only attacking Valve’s Steam platform with the revenues from Fortnite but also its direct competitor in game engines, Unity. The Unity CEO speaks of bribery.
This is the situation: Since 2018, Epic has been making a fortune thanks to the cash shop of Fortnite: Battle Royale. Players buy skins and the Battle Pass – the revenues are gigantic.
Epic uses this money to secure advantages in other areas of the gaming market and to expand them.
There is a lot of talk about how Epic is building competition to Steam with its Epic Games Store and securing exclusive titles here.
This is tangible for the players. It directly affects them when they can no longer go to The Division 2 on Steam, but have to install a new launcher instead.
But there is also a competition battle with the company Unity regarding engines. And this could ultimately influence which engine future games will use and how they will look.
What are engines? The game engine is the foundation for games and contains the tools with which developers build their games.
Many large companies develop their own engines internally. Smaller teams rely on established large engines. They obtain a license and share the profits with the engine developer if their game becomes a hit.
Epic is eager for battle.
These are the competitors:
Epic produces the Unreal Engine. Many large games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fortnite, Rocket League, or all three Mass Effect titles run on it.
Unity produces the Unity Engine. Games like Escape from Tarkov, Overcooked 2, Shadowgun Legends, Albion Online, Hearthstone, Pokémon GO, and many mobile titles run on it.
Unity CEO compares the fight to Coke vs. Pepsi
This is what the Unity CEO says now: In an interview with Venturebeat, Unity CEO John Riccitiello talks about the situation.
He says:
“Today alone, six people told me they were bribed to switch to the Unreal Engine. In some way, they were given money to switch engines.”
For him, this is a strange situation:
“Imagine you are a Coca-Cola drinker and go to the supermarket, and someone offers you 10 dollars to buy a Pepsi.
What does that say about Pepsi? That’s a little creepy.”
After that, Riccitiello says that the CEO of Epic, Tim Sweeney, is an honorable man whom he has known and respected for years. He surely only wants to do what he thinks is right.
People at Unity itself have an open platform. Developers can use any services they want.
Riccitiello says he thinks they provide developers all the advantages they can give them without directly bribing them. He finds it somewhat unappetizing.
10$, if you buy a Pepsi – What does that say about Pepsi?, asks the Unity CEO.
What does Riccitiello mean by bribery? Epic has launched two “funds” or “scholarship pools” that can be disbursed to developer teams working with the Unreal Engine:
This is probably what Riccitiello means by bribery. The special fund for SpatialOS came about after the company behind SpatialOS, Improbable, and Unity publicly fell out.
Public conflict between two major engine providers
What lies behind it: The interview with Venturebeat is full of jabs at Epic. Riccitiello praises his own engine and the outstanding work of the technicians there: He frames it as if Unity is now not only more accessible than the Unreal Engine (which it has always been), but now also technically superior.
It is said that Epic probably has to spend money because they do not want to lose their position as an engine provider and become a pure content company with Fortnite: After all, Unity is about 3-5 times larger on PC and consoles and about 50 times larger on mobile.
You can sense in the interview that Riccitiello is thinking strategically. He works:
on Unity’s image: the better, more accessible, more successful, and open engine
and on Epic’s image: worse engines, but more money from Fortnite
Throughout, he constantly praises Epic CEO Tim Sweeney and repeatedly emphasizes how much he personally respects him.
In The Division 2, you can hunt for the rifle Merciless. This is how you obtain the exotic weapon.
In The Division 2, you obtain Exotics by
searching for various components and a blueprint to craft the Exotic at the crafting station – like the Snitch
getting it as a random drop
The Merciless is one of those random drop Exotics. It is an exotic rifle that is said to be quite merciless according to the translation into German.
Location of Merciless
This is how you obtain the exotic weapon: The Merciless is not a guaranteed drop. You need luck to get the weapon. According to user reports, you can do the following to force luck:
Since the Merciless is a Hyena weapon, you need to play missions where Hyena bosses are waiting for you. These bosses can drop the weapon. Allegedly, not only mission bosses but also bounty targets can make the weapon drop.
Confirmed and reliable missions are Jefferson Trade Center and the Bank Headquarters.
Users report that at Jefferson Trade Center, you can get the weapon relatively quickly (for example, after the 3rd run).
Ideally, play the missions on Hard or Challenging difficulty, as the chance is said to be higher.
With a bit of luck, the weapon will then lie in front of you on the ground:
The perks make Merciless so merciless
This is Merciless: It is an exotic rifle. This means that the weapon is not fired automatically; you have to press the fire button for each shot – with the Merciless having a particular feature.
The rate of fire is 260, and the magazine size is 30.
These are the talents of the weapon: The talents allow you an exciting, “merciless” playstyle:
Binary Trigger: The weapon fires one bullet each time you press the fire button and when you release it. The Merciless has a special shooting mechanic that allows you to fire bullets quite quickly.
Guerilla Warfare: When you press the fire button, a “primer bullet” is fired that sticks in the target. When you release the fire button, the second bullet is a “detonator bullet” that makes all primer bullets in the target explode.
Each primer bullet in the target increases the damage per primer bullet by +75% when the primers explode. In other words, the more primers you sink into the target before you let them explode, the more Boom!
Only one enemy can accumulate primers. The maximum is 5 primers on the enemy.
The talent Guerilla Warfare
You should use this talent best against tough boss enemies. Shoot the primer bullet into the boss and when you release the fire button, shoot the detonator bullet into the empty space or at another enemy. Stack 5 primers in the boss and then blow him up.
According to users, a damage of over 1 million is possible during the explosion if you skill accordingly. You can see the talent effect here in the video from Willis Gaming (starting at minute 3:00), where he manages over 644,000 damage (for comparison: an exploding primer inflicts 47,000 damage):

This is how you can fill the bosses with primers and then let them explode joyfully. Thus, the Merciless acts mercilessly against well-armed enemies.
Brutality: This is the third talent. It causes each shot to have a 5% chance to deal +20% damage as explosive damage – but only when the Merciless is holstered.
This means that if you put the Merciless away and take out your secondary weapon, it has a 5% chance of additional explosive damage. The Merciless thus enhances your other equipped weapons.

Since time immemorial, Destiny has suffered from a lack of content – players are waiting for new content. With Destiny 2 , this is different now in March 2019, says our author Schuhmann: Now the content is waiting for new players.Destiny 2 has repositioned itself.
It has been like this with Destiny 2 all along: Destiny has had fundamentally the problem since 2014 that too little content is released.
Bungie cannot produce content as quickly as players fight through the activities. The toughest guardians in Destiny play through all activities with three guardians each week: Maximum level is quickly reached, and everything is seen.
Destiny – House of Wolves, this is what DLCs looked like in 2015
The problem was exacerbated by the fact that Destiny was “irreplaceable” for many. There were simply few games that delivered what Destiny offered. Therefore, Destiny was played by core gamers even when there was actually nothing “new” to do. While others moved on to the next game.
All along, Bungie delivered “small content” through the DLCs and updates that players quickly completed. The DLCs in 2015 included short story campaigns.
Above all, there were weapons and items that core gamers could endlessly farm in search of the God Roll.
When random rolls were removed with Destiny 2, the anger was great: Guardians simply had nothing left to do in Destiny. This got better again only with Forsaken.
But 2019 is a different situation again.
Destiny 2 – without random rolls? Oh oh.
New Philosophy at Bungie
This is what has changed in Destiny: Destiny 2 has undergone a transformation with the “Annual Pass” and changed the philosophy under which new content is delivered.
The goal is clear: To give players as much to do as possible with as little work as possible, while the main team focuses on Destiny 3 or a big expansion in the future.
He is the star of the new DLC: Thing!
With new content, the entire game is no longer renewed: there is no longer an item reset. Rather, the new expansions build on and bring special activities for the most diligent players:
The new activities are designed for players at the upper power cap and for replayability – first the forges, now Gambit Prime and the Reckoning
this power cap can only be reached through persistent playing and achieving milestones that have been similar for a long time
So the latest content has only been live since Friday night. But Reckoning level 3 requires a power level of 680.
Not many can play the latest content yet – but for the enthusiastic fans who love Destiny, it is quite interesting: They have already farmed Gambit Prime and the milestones with three characters and are now ready for the tough stuff.
The rest of the guardians, who may be on different paths, can now let loose and then eventually return to Destiny 2.
This time, the content will be waiting for the players, instead of the other way around as before.
One can be curious how Destiny 2 will use this time, now that it is not in the public eye as much as in recent years, to come up with new concepts and ideas.
Because we do not yet know how the “new Destiny” will develop in the long term without the influence of Activision.
What is clear is that at some point, Bungie will have to try to bring all players on board. Entertaining only the core gamers will not be enough in the long run.
While it may have been the right decision for the “Annual Pass”, it is difficult to convince casual players of such a model.
For most players who only check into Destiny occasionally, the power cap now feels like an eternity away. Especially since leveling up to the new power level proves to be tedious, as you are playing old milestones.
This has changed around it: Destiny is no longer as indispensable as it has been for all the previous years.
Although the new competitors differ significantly from Destiny and none delivers “the full package”, all target the Destiny player base and compete for playtime:
In February, Apex Legends, a fast-paced battle royale shooter (only PvP), was released
Then Anthem, an online action RPG in a science fiction setting (only PvE), launched
This means for Destiny 2: The new direction of Destiny is clearly aimed at core gamers.

In The Division 2 you can create this solo build that allows you to be well-equipped as a solo player, especially in PvE.
The Division 2 is a shared-world shooter primarily aimed at players who enjoy defeating enemies together in co-op, grabbing loot, and optimizing their builds in cooperation with each other.
However, The Division 2 also offers a lot for single players. To ensure you are well-equipped as lone wolves against all dangers in Washington D.C., we present you with a build that excels in PvE.
Who is the creator of the solo build? This is the best solo build that YouTuber MarcoStyle uses when playing alone. Theoretically, the build is also effective in PvP, but usually the 1-shot sniper build is the best choice there.
Here you can see the solo build in the video:

The advantages of the build: As a solo player, you must find the balance between
dealing a lot of damage (so the enemies die)
sustaining enough damage (so you don’t die constantly)
and keeping yourself alive (since you have no teammates to help you)
This build aims to provide you with a good combination of these three factors.
You will need the following gear (all high-end): Gear from 6 different brands is used. Only the first bonus of each brand set is active:
Mask from Sokolov Concern (+10% SMG damage) with a bonus for damage against elites
Backpack from Gila Guard (+5% armor) with bonuses for health points, weapon damage, and armor; 1st talent “Safeguard” causes that killing an enemy grants 150% bonus to repair and healing effects for 20 seconds; 2nd talent grants +10% armor
Chest piece from Fenris Group AB (+10% assault rifle damage) with bonuses for critical hit chance, armor, and weapon damage; talent “Berserker” means that for every 10% less armor you deal 10% more damage
Gloves from Alps Summit Armament (+10% shortened cooldown) with a bonus for assault rifle damage; talent “Clutch” means critical hits repair 15% health points and 2% armor
Holster from Wyvern Wear (+7% critical hit damage) with a bonus for shortened cooldown
Knees from Murakami Industries (+8% health points) with a bonus for armor; talent means that after 3 seconds in cover, your armor repairs by 5% per second
When it comes to the talents of the gear, you should pay attention to 2 things:
Increase damage against elites (talent “Hard Hitting” for +15% damage against elites, MarcoStyle has this talent on the chest piece, holster, and mask)
Increase your chances of survival (the 1st talent on the backpack called “Safeguard” is particularly crucial, as it allows you to stay alive longer; even the Chem launcher significantly repairs your armor. And the bonuses of the other talents are also increased by 150%!). The talents on the gloves and knees are also top, as Safeguard greatly enhances their effects
In total, the build achieves 72% damage against elites, allowing you to bring down enemies with yellow health bars extremely quickly.
This is what makes the build so strong: You can deal a lot of damage but have several very good passive healing talents active, so your armor is constantly topped off.
You don’t need to invest heavily in skill strength. The skill mods require too much skill strength to unlock, making them not worth it, and with Safeguard, your Chem launcher is strong enough anyway.
Vector – a strong SMG in The Division 2
You will need the following weapons (all high-end):
Vector SBR 45 SCP (submachine gun) with the talents “Preservation”, which repairs 5% of armor per kill over 3 seconds – headshot kills improve the repair, “Strained”, which means that for every 5% less armor, you deal +10% more critical hit damage, and “Allegro”, which increases the fire rate by 10%. For the mods, it’s worth increasing critical hit chance – so you can reach the critical hit chance cap of 61%.
This high critical hit chance works excellently with the “Clutch” talent on the gloves.
G36 C (assault rifle) with the key talent “Preservation”, which repairs 5% of armor per kill over 3 seconds – headshot kills improve the repair
Chem. Launcher
You will need the following skills:
Amplifier Chem Launcher: Releases a gas cloud that repairs and enhances your armor
Reviver Drone: Sends out small drones that revive you when you die. You shouldn’t die often with this build, but if it happens, this skill saves you and you don’t have to start over
The specialization is the demolitionist. With that you get:
a grenade launcher as a unique weapon
a special armor kit that repairs your armor by 70% and improves weapon handling by 100% for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, the remaining 30% of armor is repaired. Keep in mind that these effects are also increased by Safeguard by 150%.
+15% submachine gun damage
In total, you have a build that allows for a lot of damage and keeps you alive. You deal many critical hits that also heal you.
Even though this build is specifically designed for solo players – you will also perform well in a group.
What do you think of the build? Do you have any suggestions for improvement?
