At QuakeCon 2019, the developers revealed some exciting details about upcoming features in Fallout 76. This includes the highly anticipated raids. Learn here what we already know about the first raid, Vault 94.
What are raids? Raids are dungeons or activities that typically represent the highest challenge for players in PvE content and require a group. In Fallout 76, raiding has so far consisted of dropping atomic bombs.
In Fallout 76, the first “real” raids will be Vaults 94 and 96, where something seems to have gone wrong. You will explore them with a group and secure special loot.
When are the raids coming? Vault 94 is scheduled to be released by the developers in August. Vault 96 is expected to come “in the not too distant future”. The raids were announced in the Fallout 76 roadmap early 2019.

How many players are raids designed for? According to Project Lead Jeff Gardiner, raids will be an activity for four players at a higher level. However, the raids are a significantly greater challenge than the newly introduced dungeons.
Those who are particularly “masochistic” can also attempt the raids alone, as a duo, or with three players.
The dungeons faced frequent criticism, including that they were not instanced. Therefore, other players could appear at any time and simply participate, which many fans disliked. Whether the raids will be instanced has not yet been revealed.
What happens in raids? The tasks in the raids will primarily focus on solving puzzles. You will need to figure out how to open certain doors or which enemies you must defeat in which way. There will also be changing weekly missions. Additionally, raids offer three difficulty levels:
the lowest difficulty level is supposed to be “somewhat easy”
the two higher difficulty levels also add a time limit
In the raids, numerous legendary enemies are expected to spawn, offering particularly good loot. The lack of good loot has recently been a significant problem, which is set to be addressed soon.
What loot can be found in raids? The biggest innovation in loot consists of set pieces that you can obtain in the raids. The first of these sets has jokingly been called “potted plant” and consists of power armor pieces with ferns (featured image). The set bonus is intended to help with stealth.
The loot can be found both within the raid as well as from a loot chest at the end. You do not necessarily have to “successfully” complete the raid. There will still be certain rewards even if you do not make it to the end.
What happens next? After Vault 94, another vault is set to appear: Vault 96. The next raid will also be released “in the not too distant future”. However, there should be enough time between the raids to gather and implement feedback.
What and how much raid content will follow depends on how well the content is received by the community. In any case, the major NPC update “Wastelanders” will also follow after the raids:
Teamfight Tactics Lead Designer Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer has released information regarding the changes in Patch 9.15. In addition to buffs and nerfs, there are also complete reworks of classes and origins this time.
What changes specifically come with the patch? Mortdog posted an image on Twitter, which gives insight into buffs, nerfs, and reworks of Patch 9.15.

Buffs for Archers and Pirates

Demons are currently very strong, and a nerf is therefore justified. It is suspected that the damage reduction from magic will be adjusted to the item Dragon Claw.
Lastly, the damage players take at the end of a duel will be reduced. In the future, games may therefore last a bit longer.
What will be completely overhauled? Riot Games currently seems to be dissatisfied with some classes and origins. There will be reworks of:
Knights
Ninjas
Nobles
Voids
What the overhauls will look like is not yet known. Yordles and Assassins will also receive minor adjustments, though there is no indication of whether these will be positive or negative.
How will the meta develop? As long as specific changes are not disclosed, it can only be speculated how the meta will look in the future.
Ice Spirits and Archers will certainly benefit from Patch 9.15. However, Mortdog has already announced that adjustments for Ice Spirits are planned for Patch 9.16.
Gunslingers in combination with Pirates and Blademasters will not really be changed by the patch and will remain useful.
Bungie showcases humor and honors weapons that turned the Crucible upside down in Destiny 2 with their own emblems. Players particularly enjoyed the emblem that was available during the time when the Prometheus Lens dominated everything. If you can’t recall whether you participated in PvP during a small time frame in December 2017 and thus earned the emblem, you can now check with a tool.
What are these emblems? In the Crucible of Destiny 2, there are always weapons that stand out as particularly powerful and popular for a time. However, there are also guns that are unintentionally overpowered and terrorize players.
Two weapons are sure to come to players’ minds immediately: the Prometheus Lens and Lord of Wolves.
The Prometheus Lens, a counterpart to Coldheart, completely turned PvP upside down for a weekend during Curse of Osiris in December 2017. Bungie seemed to enjoy the dominance of the Lens at the time and even put it in Xur’s inventory. This caused players to shoot only with the Prometheus Lens, earning the weekend the nickname Laser Show.

How does the tool work? Bungie has revealed the exact times that Guardians had to play to receive the emblems. While most players should remember whether they participated in an Iron Banner match for the emblem with Lord of Wolves between 7:00 PM on June 18 and 7:00 PM on June 25 or between 7:00 PM on July 23 and 7:00 PM on July 30, it becomes more challenging with the Prometheus emblem.
To earn the emblem “Prismatic Inferno”, you had to complete a Crucible match between 7:00 PM on December 8 and 7:00 PM on December 12, 2017, and experience the terror of the Prometheus Lens.
You can easily check if you qualify with an online tool. On this page, you can find the “Destiny 2 Historical Heatmap”, which allows you to see when you engaged in various activities in Destiny 2. Just follow these steps:

In the overview below, you can see when and how long you participated in the respective activities – here the Crucible – based on the colored areas. So if you find a colored area anywhere between 7:00 PM on December 8 and 7:00 PM on December 12, 2017, you can be sure that you qualify for the Prometheus emblem.
How to obtain the emblems? Players who qualify for one or both emblems will find the “Lost History” package in their mailbox after update 2.5.2 on July 30. This unlocks unique triumphs through which the emblems will be awarded.
Players who have not yet qualified for the Lord of Wolves emblem can still do so until the upcoming Tuesday, July 30. The current Iron Banner event is still taking place this week.
Players who were not part of the Crucible in December 2017 will unfortunately miss out on the Prometheus emblem. Whether it will be available later through other means is still unknown.
In the hack’n slash Diablo 3, a new patch is coming. It is now live on the test server, and the patch notes reveal: Update 2.6.6 brings a lot of changes. New item properties and even new items are coming. Season 18 of Diablo 3 will be themed around the “Circle” and buffs players at all strength levels.
What kind of patch is this? The update 2.6.6 for Diablo 3 is now on the PTR and can be tested. Blizzard has already published the patch notes for 2.6.6.
Buff Circles coming with Season 18 to Diablo 3
This will be the new gimmick for Season 18: When Season 18 begins, a new enhancement effect will be active. Because it will be the season of “Trinity.”
All skills have a chance to create a strengthening circle. Only one circle can be active at a time:
In the Circle of Power, players deal 100% more damage (it is magenta-colored)
In a second circle, resource costs are reduced by 50% (green)
And in the third circle, the cooldown of skills that are currently on cooldown is reduced (blue)
The circle is supposed to be immediately available at level 1 and provide everyone with more power, while previous season buffs targeted players in endgame.
Additionally, the buff will probably drive players in circles.

Diablo 3 brings back Barb item that Blizzard found too powerful
These items are new: The item “Mortick’s Brace” is back in Diablo 3 and therefore new. With this item, Wrath of the Berserker gains the effect of every rune.
It is said by Blizzard: Originally, the item was removed from the game because it was too powerful – but now it is okay. Because Diablo 3 has received a power boost.

The amulet “Perfume of Time” ensures that the effects of pylons last twice as long.

When Season 18 begins, the update will apparently change a lot in Diablo 3. In the last weeks, things have been quiet around the game – as always when a season is somewhat advanced.
Our author Irie has contemplated which forgotten characters from Final Fantasy XIV could become very important for the story. Here are 5 of them that you probably don’t remember.

FFXIV is an MMORPG, and as such, it can rely on tricks that single-player games cannot use. This includes, for example, telling an ongoing story over many years.
The scenario writers do not proceed linearly. They create plot lines, drop them, and sometimes pick them up again years later.
The Crystal Tower was the first 24-man raid in FFXIV. Many have forgotten its story, some never even played through it.
As it was the case twice in Shadowbringers:
In the story about the Crystal Tower raid
about the Warriors of Darkness from the 3.x patch series
In both cases, it was obvious that they would eventually continue, especially with the Warriors of Darkness and Minfilia. They were simply too important and interesting to just drop the plot line.
The small downside of such a story that lasts for years is that players forget certain parts of it. That’s why it got me thinking. The writers unearthened two plot lines for the story of Shadowbringers that were three years or older.
The storyline involving the Warriors of Darkness had a sudden end that left many questions unanswered.
But there are even more in FFXIV. Larger side stories or actually important characters that were introduced but never really concluded.
I spontaneously thought of 5 such characters, and I believe that at least half of them will play an important role in Shadowbringers.
Fordola rem Lupis
The leader of the Wolves stood out in Stormblood not only because she was featured in the key art of the expansion but also due to her unique NPC design. There’s no question that she is an important character.
However, she received relatively little screen time. She appeared during several Stormblood quests and then again briefly during the second fight against Lakshmi in the palace of Ala Mhigo.
After that, she almost completely disappears from view.
What has become of Fordola? Currently, Fordola is on a mission from Raubahn. She wears a cursed collar that will choke her if she tries to escape. Together with Arenvald and his friends, she is hunting Primals.
Arenvald was the NPC with whom players investigated the dungeon Skalla. He is half Garlean.
However, I have a feeling that we will see both him and Fordola again in Shadowbringers.
At the end of the current MSQ, Zenos returns to Garlemald in a very adventurous manner and kills his father. It is likely that Fordola could also return during this storyline. After all, she possesses the artificial gift of transcendence just like Zenos.
If we head towards Garlemald during Shadowbringers, and I actually assume that we will, she will certainly play a significant role. One might try to understand through her how exactly Zenos’ artificial transcendence works and how one might counteract it. Many possibilities lie ahead of us.
Unukalhai
Most of you will remember the masked kiddo from the quest line of the War Triad. He is a kind of protégé of the Ascian Elidibus.
During his quest line, we learn that he actually comes from the world we know as the Void. It was originally the 13th shard of the world, consumed by Darkness due to the machinations of the Ascians. Unukalhai is one of the Warriors of Light who failed to save this world from the flood of Darkness.
What has become of Unukalhai? Currently, he still stands around in the Rising Stones. Interestingly, his dialogue does not change after completing Shadowbringers, nor after completing all role quests.
Unukalhai comes from the 13th shard, which we also know as the Void or the World of Darkness. This world is also connected to the Crystal Tower raid.
This is strange because he is specifically mentioned in side quests from Shadowbringers and is linked to the first shard. I believe there are two reasons why he will still be important in Shadowbringers:
His mentioned connection with the first shard
His connection to Elidibus
Elidibus is, besides Lahabrea and Daddy Emet-Selch, the last of the Ascians from the original world. He is still the only living Ascian whose soul has not been “shattered”. In one of the last cutscenes of Shadowbringers, he speaks of the “Warriors of Light” who will destroy us, the player character.
In connection with Unukalhai’s original role in his world, it seems to me that it’s a bit too much to be just coincidence. I would go so far as to claim that he is not just any Warrior of Light.

I believe Unukalhai is a shard of our soul, just like Ardbert was. And he has been chilling in Mor Dhona for years.
Bonus Fun Fact: Unukalhai is the traditional name of Alpha Serpentis, the largest and brightest star in the constellation Serpent. The Serpent is part of the constellation Ophiuchus, also known as Serpentarius.
In Final Fantasy Tactics, Serpentarius is the secret 13th Auracite stone, which is held by the mage Elidibus. When fighting against Elidibus in FFT, he uses the summoning Zodiark *plays X-Files music*.
Tiamat
Tiamat appeared for the first and only time about 4 years ago at the end of the main storyline of Heavensward. Alongside Nidhogg, Ratatoskr, and other dragons, she is one of the firstborn of Midgardsormr. Together with Bahamut, she inhabited the area we know as Meracydia.
After Bahamut was killed in the war against the Allagan Empire, she was manipulated by Ascians to resurrect him as a Primal. She was captured by the Allagans and imprisoned in the Delta Quadrant of Azys Lla.
What has become of Tiamat? You can still find her at the same location in Azys Lla. In the lore book, it is said that she accepted her imprisonment due to feelings of guilt and has not attempted to escape. It screams that she could actually break free at any moment.
Millennia after Bahamut was imprisoned in the artificial moon Dalamud, he broke free and caused the 7th calamity.
She is the last living witness to what has happened in Meracydia. Although I don’t think Tiamat will play a significant role in this expansion, I cannot imagine that the writers would allow such a large and important character to just languish in Azys Lla for the rest of her days.
Unfortunately, you can’t talk to her. I would really be interested to know if she is aware of what is going on in the world.
Noah van Gabranth
This storyline is not just about Gabranth but about the entire Ivalice quest line, which is clearly not finished yet. However, the story around Gabranth is, in my opinion, the most interesting part of it.
Alongside Fran and B’gamnan, he is also a character borrowed from Final Fantasy XII. In that game, Gabranth serves as one of the highest judges of the Arcadian Empire and is the protector of Prince Larsa.
In FFXIV, after completing the Orbonne raid, there is a final cutscene showing an imperial unit in the city of Goug. The scientists investigate the constructs that lay around Goug, and there is mention of “Tartarus,” which is supposed to give Garlemald new power. These scientists are led by Gabranth.
One of the scientists reports to Gabranth about his findings.
In general, there are too many unresolved threads in Ivalice. Bwagi mentions at one point a certain princess who is the leader of her rebel group. We never see her, but it’s obvious that Bwagi and Fran are in contact with her.
Could it be Ashelia? The rightful princess of Dalmasca allegedly died during the Garlean invasion 30 years ago. But it sounds like she is not as dead as one might initially believe. I also still have faint hopes that Balthier might make an appearance sooner or later.
And then there’s this guy:
He has no name and looks incredibly suspicious.
He appears in the final cutscene of the raid quest line and doesn’t seem to be a character from the “Ivalice Alliance” games or at least none that I would recognize. Given how prominently he is placed in the spotlight, he will definitely play an important role.
I’m also pretty sure that this storyline in Ivalice will be continued in the next expansion or at the end of 5.x. The story around Gabranth, Ashe, and Tartarus seems very large, and considering how many conflicts already exist in Shadowbringers, adding another might be too much.
But hey, I’m also open to surprises. When I discussed this article with some friends, the suggestion came up that Tartarus could be the new Primal quest line, similar to the 4 Tier Gods. That sounded like a plausible option.
Players from 1.0 might still remember him. He played an important role in the last quests of the Limsa storyline and led an attack by the Sahagin on the Barracuda ships.
After the reboot, he first appeared during a cutscene related to Alexander. He was the one responsible for summoning Alexander and tricked Mide and her group.
It is obvious that Travanchet is a pseudonym and that the man is an Ascian. Aside from the fact that he teleports away in the same manner, the usual Ascian music always plays during his appearances.
Alexander was the second 8-man raid of FFXIV. The fact that Travanchet, a character over 8 years old, is associated with it is more than suspicious.
The question that arises for me is, which Ascian is he? From Shadowbringers, we learned that there are 13 “main Ascians”. They were members of the council that first summoned Zodiark during the times of Amaurot. Their names correspond to the “Scions of Light” from FFXII.
Of the 13, the following are already dead:
Lahabrea
Emet-Selch
Igeyorhm
Nabriales
Mitron
Loghrif
Emmeroloth
There may be more, as Gaius has been diligently hunting behind the scenes. However, there is no 100% confirmed info on that. Based on what we know, apart from Elidibus, the following should remain:

Halmarut
Fandaniel
Deudalaphon
Since Elidibus is now the only known Ascian we have not yet caught, it is not so far-fetched that one of the remaining from the list might appear soon. And I think “Travanchet” would fit that role well.
Elidibus is the last known Ascian to us, but there are still plenty of them, and I am sure we will meet a new one soon.
Of course, he could be one of the lesser Ascians who do not bear their own name, like the two we first encounter in Haukke Manor. But then I wonder why SE gave him a distinct face and then brought him back several years later in 3.x.
It is quite exciting to observe how the writers weave individual elements into the story and pull them back out, only to return them suddenly after years.
This applies not only to large quest lines like the Crystal Tower raid but also to smaller side stories. The class quest of the Dark Knight has been able to shine once again.
I am certainly curious to see which forgotten old side stories and characters the developers will surprise us with.
In Fortnite on Saturday, July 27, the Fortnite World Championship in Duo took place. Fans are wondering in Germany this morning: Who won the Fortnite WM in Duo? And how did the German player Derox perform in the World Cup?
This was played yesterday: The WM in Fortnite spans several days. Last night, on Saturday, July 27, the Duo World Championship was held.
A total of 6 matches were played, in which 100 players, meaning all 50 duos, competed against each other in Fortnite Battle Royale.
The points were awarded based on placement and kills – winning a game was worth as much as 10 kills.
Underdogs from Europe win the Duo WM in Fortnite 2019
They won the Fortnite WM: The Fortnite WM was won by the team of Emil “Nyhrox” Bergquist Pedersen (Norway) and David “Aqua” W. (Austria) – with 51 points, they secured the championship title.
The two players belong to the London team “Cooler Esport’s.”
Were they also the favorites? No, this European team was hardly counted on beforehand. A betting site had assessed Nyrhox/Aqua before the start in 14th place at the Fortnite Duo WM.
Other favored teams like Mongraal/Mitro, Meggan/Dubbs, or Saf/Zayt played for the top spots. But ultimately, two underdogs from Europe, Aqua/Nythox, prevailed.

USA started strong – then Europe turned it around
How did they win? In the early rounds, some of the well-known top teams from North America won. The first victory was secured by Zayt (NRG Esports) and the Canadian Saf (Ghost Gaming), who were considered favorites.
The championship team from Cooler Esports turned up their game starting from match 4. The team managed to win game 4 and 5, laying the foundation for the championship title.
Before the finals, they were only 3 points behind Zayt and Saf. In a chaotic match 6, in which many lost their teammates early and had to play solo, another team from Cooler Esports ended up winning.
However, as many favorites were eliminated early, it ultimately allowed Nyhrox and Aqua to win the WM and $3 million.
How did the German player Derox perform? The German Fortnite player, Fabian “Derox” Real, and his partner Itemm secured 8th place in the duos. That is $375,000 for the two.

Thousands of players are disappointed in Pokémon GO. A mysterious countdown around Team Rocket ignited excitement among many fans, but a disappointing ending ruined the mood.
What happened? Team Rocket invaded Pokémon GO and is lurking at PokéStops for you. In recent days, it got even hotter around the villains, because real Rocket Grunts in New York and especially a strange countdown on YouTube led many trainers to think of something big.
People wondered what would happen after the countdown ended and started crafting wild theories. In the end, however, most players were likely disappointed, as it turned out to be not as big as hoped.

Both versions cost the same. However, the international version lacks a German voiceover, and you also cannot switch between the versions. However, most enemies speak German anyway.
Why this is interesting: The Wolfenstein series was also very popular in its uncut version among fans in Germany. However, accessing these versions has been quite difficult for a long time, and it only worked through dealers from abroad and imports.
With the new change, it’s also possible for German fans to obtain uncut versions without costs or problems.

2. The co-op mode is free for friends
How does co-op work? Youngblood delivers a Wolfenstein experience in co-op mode for the first time. This mode is not just “also possible”, but always present and the core of the game.
Throughout the entire game, the sisters Soph and Jess complete the missions together, and you inevitably need both sisters to progress. Most obstacles can only be cleared together.
If you play alone, you will be assisted by an AI that acts independently but is not supposed to be “dumb” or “annoying”. If you play with friends or players from the matchmaking, you can communicate through voice chat and markers.
How does the Buddy Pass work? If you want to play with a specific friend, that friend does not even have to buy the game. If you own the Deluxe Edition, no matter if international or German, you can invite friends using the “Buddy Pass”.
The corresponding friends then need to download the “Trial Version” of the respective Wolfenstein on your platform (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Bethesda.net, or Steam). They then need to quickly create a character in the game. After that, you can simply invite them directly to the game from your friends list.
What kind of enemies are there? In Wolfenstein: Youngblood, your enemies are, of course, Nazis. But you are not fighting them in occupied America, but in Paris. You face many different, unique, and partially known enemies such as:
Diesel soldiers in various versions
Nazi soldiers
Armored dogs
special enemies and bosses with special abilities
Since Wolfenstein: Youngblood plays a bit “more arcadey” than the previous parts and the enemies can scale with you, you have health and armor displays to help you orient. A special plus for beginners.
Here’s how boss fights play out: One of the first special enemies is the boss of the first mission, General Winkler. He wears a special battle suit that protects and camouflages him. In a close-quarters fight, you must avoid his lasers and weapons.
At the same time, you must continually search for him because only a blurred silhouette indicates where he is located. The fight even progresses through different phases, with a truly spectacular demise at the end.
It would be a shame if someone stepped on his toes…
4. Elite Hans takes you back in time
Who is Elite Hans?Elite Hans is an Easter egg in Wolfenstein: Youngblood. He embodies the Nazi version of B.J. Blazkowicz. He is a veteran who rises against the resistance, kills Americans and Soviets, and attempts to restore the Reich to greatness.
Elite Hans has already appeared in his namesake game series “Elite Hans” in the Youngblood predecessor Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. However, his machines are also present in Youngblood with a playable version.
What makes Elite Hans special: The “Elite Hans” games are almost an exact copy of the classic game Wolfenstein 3D. With this series, the developers revive the roots of the successful games and showcase them to players who may not know them yet.
The special thing about Elite Hans in Youngblood is that there is even a small story surrounding him. The character and his games are not just references to Wolfenstein 3D as an Easter egg.
Through some collectible objects, you can discover that Elite Hans is indeed the alternate version of B.J. Blazkowicz that the Nazis created for propaganda purposes. The resistance would like to have the source code to create their own game series from the perspective of the resistors called “Castle Wolfenstein”…
