A new trailer for Battlefield 5 shows that an absolute fan favorite is returning to the game: The map Operation Metro makes a comeback in a new edition.
What does Battlefield 5 show? The shooter will feature a new map, which many players of the Battlefield series will likely find familiar. It’s called Operation Underground and strongly resembles the cult map Operation Metro from Battlefield 3.
Fans are celebrating, as many of them have spent unforgettable hours here, and now the map is returning in the style of World War-themed gameplay.

This is the map: While Operation Metro in Battlefield 3 was set in the Parisian underground, the journey now takes us to Germany. This is clearly indicated by the German signs hanging on the walls.
The setting is also tied to the World War scenario, with details everywhere recalling the Third Reich.
The map is tight and has many points where you will encounter enemies directly. You can even dive for a moment to surprise enemies from behind.
Why the map is so popular: While in Battlefield one often engages in prolonged battles and can dominate with vehicles, Operation Metro has made a clear cut here. It revolves around many and close-range confrontations, a lot of action, and no significant strategy. This made the map so popular that it was also playable in Battlefield 4.
The map is returning and promises at least from the trailer a similarly high level of action.
How do players react? The fans of Battlefield 5 are ecstatic. The trailer is being received positively, and the fans have reason to be happy.
Borderlands 3 released a balancing hotfix last weekend. It buffs the allegedly weak Zane, but most of all it nerfs FL4K and Amara. The gunner Moze has been spared.
This is what the hotfix does: Borderlands 3 introduced a hotfix on September 27. This should balance out some strengths and weaknesses. For Agent Zane, the clone and drone were buffed.
The Beastmaster FL4K, on the other hand, had to endure a significant setback. His most effective action skill has been reduced in duration and intensity. Also, Siren Amara has not escaped unscathed. She heals less and can no longer reduce her enemies’ damage as much.
All four vault hunters of Borderlands 3
However, it seems that one character has been forgotten by the hotfix, the gunner Moze. She has a very powerful build that could overshadow the other characters in the endgame now.
Moze with 1-HP build to One-Hit-Queen
This is what the gunner can do: Moze is a soldier who comes with a lot of firepower and a teddy mech. Her skill trees can improve her shield and damage. Additionally, they can enhance her ammo regeneration, area damage, or her action skill.
This is about the solo build: If you focus on her talent trees Demolition Woman and Revenge Shield, you can kill many enemies with one shot (One-Hit). For this, you best need an artifact that reduces your health to 1 health point (HP) – that’s right. Additionally, this item doubles your shield.
Focus on the shot
With the right skills you deal more damage with Moze the less health you have. 1 HP is very little health, so it packs quite a punch. With your huge shield, which you further improve through your skill tree, you are almost immortal.
Mixed feelings in the community
This is what the fans demand: For most, Moze is not a problem with the hotfix. Many discussions still revolve around the agent. The supposedly too weak Zane for the endgame has been buffed. Fans are happy about this, but it seems that the hotfix does not have the desired effect:
It’s great that Zane has been buffed. Unfortunately, it has completely missed the core of the issue. Better than nothing, I don’t want to complain.
With Amara, there are hardly any complaints. However, FL4K fans are not really excited. Some are appalled that FL4K’s best build is no longer playable. Others demand buffs for FL4K’s two other skill trees:
I would like a possible pet build, to be honest. Especially the +100% bonus on the pet feels like wasting 5 skill points.
This is how it is with Moze: So it seems that no one really cares that Moze was not nerfed – on the contrary. Players even wish for a buff, though not for her, but for her mech.
The gunner is a strong character with a powerful endgame build. However, this is equipment-dependent if one wants to utilize it optimally. It takes effort to farm all items, and that should be rewarded – with one-hits.
If you feel like farming some bosses now, here are tips for legendary loot:
The new Patch 9.19 for Teamfight Tactics has been out for almost a week now. It has noticeably changed the meta – strongly in favor of a combo of Shapeshifters and Wilds.
Which combo is currently the strongest? The currently strongest combo from Patch 9.19 was originally developed as a counter to the Yordle champions. It relies on 4 Wilds, so opponents cannot evade your attacks.
The combo is supplemented by Assassins for damage, Shapeshifters, and 2 Hextechs. As champions, you need:
What makes the combo so strong? This now quite popular combo has several significant advantages:
It is very cheap (mainly 1- and 2-gold units)
It is easy to obtain and you don’t have to rebuild your team – you can keep the starting champions
You are not necessarily dependent on items, as in other combos.
The bonus of the 3 Shapeshifters has been spared from the nerf of the new patch.
Hextechs can disable game-changing items for your opponents.
They are currently hard to counter. Only 6 Knights and 4 Imperials can beat them, but this combo is hard to get and will beat everything else on the battlefield anyway.
Wild and Assassin – Rengar
This is how you play the currently strongest combo
How does the early game go? The combo is so simply structured that you can’t go wrong at the start of the game. In the first carousel, you should try to get one of the following four items:
Giant’s Sword
Combat Gloves
Spatula
Chain Vest
In the following rounds, you simply collect the champions you need for the combo and bring them onto the field. Until you find Gnar, Ahri can take the position of the fourth Wild.
Vi usually enters the field as the eighth and last champion, but can be collected beforehand.
Which champions should I bring to level 3? In this specific combo, it should be possible to get at least two or even more champions to level 3. The most useful are:
Pyke
Rengar
Zed (if you get him to level 3, otherwise switch to Akali)
Vi
Pyke – Extremely strong with the Frozen Heart as an item
Which items are important for the combo? The combo of Wilds, Assassins, and Shapeshifters is very variable in items. However, extremely useful are:
Pyke with 2x Frozen Heart and Morellonomicon
Rengar with Bloodthirster and Guardian Angel
Gnar with Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Dragon Claw, and Warmog’s Armor
Additionally, you can also give Akali/Zed damage items like Infinity Edge.
How do I position the combo correctly? Assassins thrive on being able to jump on opponents. They should therefore move away from the edge. Accordingly, you should place all champions as far down as possible.
Will I always be first with the combo? Based on experience, you land in the top 4 very consistently with Wilds, Assassins, and Shapeshifters, usually top 2.
But victories are also possible with the combo.
What alternative combos are currently available? Shortly after the release of Patch 9.19, we introduced you to seven very strong combos. We have adjusted this list, and it is still current.
If you are not enjoying the current meta of TFT, you can check out this list of five games we recommend for October:
In Pokémon GO players can no longer submit PokéStops for a few days now, but what seemed to be a small problem turned out to be quite significant.
What is going on with the submissions? Five days ago, on September 26, Niantic tweeted that they had to disable PokéStop submissions. So no new Stops can be submitted anymore.
Some players believed that this was just a short-term issue, but so far there have been no updates and the feature is still down.
What is behind the removal of the feature
Why is the function down? Niantic explained in their tweet that there is a problem with the photo function. This is, of course, necessary when one wants to submit a Stop. Because of this, they temporarily shut down the function.

Now, however, various trainers are waiting for news regarding the issue. For 5 days there have been no updates, and the function remains lost.
There are generally problems: It is possible that the photo function is not the only issue Niantic needs to fix. Many trainers report that their submissions are not being processed at all.
For some trainers, submitting Stops does not really work.
A trainer from Argentina even reports on Reddit that none of their submissions have gone through for 7 months. Their city has not received a new PokéStop, even though there are many places that meet the guidelines for a Stop.
But frustration is also great in Germany. In our Facebook group, players repeatedly report that they have had no success with their submissions. Other trainers, however, have no problems with it.
When will the function be reactivated? Currently, there is absolutely no information on this. As soon as there are updates on the topic, you will find out about it here on MeinMMO.
Niantic is also currently dealing with other issues. There have reportedly been various account suspensions that were unjustified:
Destiny 2 will today be Free-to-Play – specifically in the form of New Light. And for those who, as shooter fans, have overlooked the full-price title or haven’t even been aware of it, there are some good reasons to check out the free version.
What is Destiny 2: New Light? New Light is the official name for the Free-to-Play version of Destiny 2.
It launches today, on October 1st, simultaneously with the Shadowkeep expansion – the planned time is 7:00 PM German time. However, due to extensive maintenance work, there may be a delay.
What is Destiny 2? Destiny 2 is a multiplayer online shooter with MMO elements from Bungie. It is played from the first-person perspective. The game launched on September 6, 2017, on PS4 and Xbox One and was released on October 24, 2017, for PC. Now the base game along with many additional contents is going Free-to-Play.
In Destiny 2, you take on the role of a Guardian. Roughly speaking, it’s about protecting the remnants of humanity from various dangers posed by hostile alien races, looting new weapons and gear, and making your character increasingly powerful.
The adventures take Guardians in Destiny 2 to different planets, grant them new powerful abilities, and offer plenty of loot to collect.
That’s why every shooter fan should try Destiny 2: New Light
If you are a shooter fan but haven’t played Destiny 2 yet or have set it aside for a while? Then you should definitely (re)consider checking out Destiny 2: New Light with its release. Because for anyone who has even a slight interest in first-person shooters, it could be worth a look. And we’ll tell you why.
Excellent gunplay that is second to none
The Destiny series is particularly known for its unique gunplay. Especially on consoles, the feeling of using weapons is still unmatched to this day, but it doesn’t hide on PC either.
The combination of various weapons, target optics, sounds, vibrations, and visual effects, along with animations, creates a truly unique gameplay feel and hit feedback.
You can literally feel how you hit the enemy when you secure a kill with a critical hit, how the recoil behaves, or how cumbersome a weapon can feel compared to another.
For those who value gunplay in shooters, Destiny 2: New Light is certainly a good choice.
Destiny 2: New Light is completely free – you can’t go wrong
The cool thing about Destiny 2: New Light is that you can just try it out. Because New Light is completely free of charge. You won’t have to pay anything for the start, nor will there be any hidden costs awaiting you. If you don’t like the experience, you can simply put the game aside. You really can’t go wrong with it.
You’ll only incur costs if you resort to microtransactions or purchase additional game content. The microtransactions are, by the way, optional and purely cosmetic. They are the same for both the free New Light version and the full game.
Destiny 2: New Light offers gigantic scope – plenty to do for everyone
For a free-to-play game, Destiny 2: New Light offers an enormous amount of content. The scope is truly gigantic and easily provides 100 hours or more until you have really seen, played, and thoroughly tried everything if you’ve never had anything to do with Destiny 2 before.
There’s truly something for everyone: From story missions and open-world exploration to strikes (mini-dungeons) and raids, the most challenging group content offers PvE players a lot of exciting content.
PvP enthusiasts can let loose in various modes and on numerous maps of the Crucible – the PvP area of Destiny 2. There are no restrictions – you have exactly the same PvP content available as in the “full” game.
If you’re into a mix of PvE and PvP, you can try the Gambit mode, where you face off against AI in teams, but also face Guardian duels.
Keep in mind that numerous players spent over 100€ on the contents of New Light in the years 2017 and 2018. What is missing are, in principle, content from the major Forsaken expansion as well as from Shadowkeep. Moreover, there are no limits to your leveling. You can reach the same level as players in the full-price title.
Like New Light? You can jump in fully at any time
With New Light, you now have a great opportunity to get a really deep insight into the world of Destiny 2 – with all the important systems and core mechanics of the game completely for free. If Destiny 2: New Light convinces you and sparks your interest for more, you can expand your experience at any time.
You can purchase various optional contents such as individual seasons or expansions separately and truly play what interests you. You don’t have to own all available content to continue your journey in the Destiny universe.
You always keep your progress. So if you switch from Free-to-Play to Buy-to-Play, your options simply expand, and you can seamlessly continue your journey as a Guardian. Everything else remains the same and preserved – previous characters, quest progress, gear, levels, achievements, purchases.
Learn more about your options to expand your Destiny 2 experience here:
Are you going to give Destiny 2 a chance with New Light and check it out? Or can even a Free-to-Play version not make you a Guardian?By the way, you can find more details about Destiny 2: New Light here:
In Fortnite , the head of the professional team 100 Thieves exposed two young pros on Twitter. Although both earned $900,000 each through Fortnite at the World Championship, they littered the team house. Fast food wrappers are scattered everywhere. The training arena is a pigsty.
The team head accuses them of: In a video on Twitter, Matt “Nadeshot” Haag shows the cluttered training and living area in the team house of 100 Thieves.
He says: “This is what happens when you let the Fortnite team stay all alone in a wonderful house.”
It sounds a bit ominous when he says: “Ceice, Elevate. We will talk about this. This is really disgusting.”
Feel “right at home” understood as mom cleaning up afterwards.
The camera pans over fast food packaging, showing dirty dishes. Glasses, cups, and trash pile up on the ping pong table, on the tables, and even in front of the computers. It looks terrible.
In the end, you see the astonished expression of an adult looking at it.

WM Thirds each win $900,000 – cannot stay without supervision
Who are we talking about here? The head of 100 Thieves is Matt “Nadeshot” Haag (27), who was previously a CoD pro himself. He founded the eSports organization 100 Thieves in 2016. The team is active in LoL, Call of Duty, and Fortnite.
The player Elevate’s real name is Hayden Kruger. He is a Canadian teenager who has earned nearly a million dollars in prize money with Fortnite. Just finishing 3rd in the duo at the Fortnite World Championship earned him $900,000, with some taxes on that.
The player David “Ceice” McClellan was Elevate’s duo partner at the World Championship, also pocketed $900,000, and has been successful in Fortnite as well.

In The Division 2, the testing server phase (PTS) is coming to an end and the next major update is just around the corner. Agents have tried a lot and now found a build that takes out players in PvP as quickly as in first-person shooters.
What is happening on the testing servers? The next major Title Update 6 is approaching, and diligent PC agents can already try out some of the planned changes from the upcoming update on a testing server (PTS).
The PTS phase ends today, October 1st at 2 PM, and Title Update 6 is set to release alongside the content expansion “Episode 2” in mid-October. Many unknown things were discovered on the PTS, and players tested builds, reproduced bugs, and vented in the forums.
The PTS agent “McGuns17” has discovered a nasty build for the Dark Zone, which hopefully won’t make its way into the official update.

Video by YouTuber “McGuns17” He shows parts of his PTS builds and some incredibly fast kills
What kind of build is this? The build focuses on the new strength of submachine guns and has high critical values. With ten red damage attributes, “McGuns17” brings his critical stats to a lethal level and can deal an unbelievable amount of damage in mere fractions of a second. His human opponents in the Dark Zone die as quickly as one would expect only from games like Call of Duty. The Time to Kill is almost on par with a fast first-person shooter.
These are the main components of the build
The weapon is the MP5 submachine gun with about 23,400 damage
3x Wyvern Wear armor
7% Critical Damage
10% Critical Chance
2x Solokov armor
8% Critical Damage
10% SMG Damage
Chest piece with the talent “Berserker”
more damage at low armor
Backpack with the new talent “Spark”
Increases damage on skill hits
10 red damage attributes for a total of:
60% Critical Chance
+78% Critical Damage
+30% Total Weapon Damage
In the video, “McGuns17” does not show all of his equipment, but makes it clear that this combination is enough to be an absolute killer in PvP.
How does this even work?
How can he achieve such high damage? With the new update, several mechanics are being revised, and one of the most significant changes is the new function of “Passive Talents”.
Until now, the values of these talents could be stacked, meaning that with two parts equipped with the same talent, the value would double. This is no longer possible with the “Passive Talents” – but all values of these talents have been significantly strengthened.
This particularly benefits the two passive talents “Critical” and “Surgical”, as well as the popular “Devastating”. After the update, they will likely look like this:
Critical
+20% Critical Hit Damage (previously +5%)
Surgical
+15% Critical Hit Chance (previously +5%)
Devastating
+10% Weapon Damage (previously +5%).
The talents are only available on gloves or holsters, but already provide a strong foundation for crit builds.
Testing servers generate strong crit builds
With a good crit chance holster, “Surgical” and the 14.5% critical hit chance from the MP, one quickly reaches 45% crit chance and is usually only a damage attribute away from the 60% maximum.
This build was assembled on the testing server within two weeks, and “McGuns17” thinks there is even more potential. For example, his mask still has the PvE talent “Ruthless”, which offers no advantage in PvP.
The community partially expected this
What do the players think? The mood in the post about this video on reddit ranges from schadenfreude over the alleged incompetence of the developers to the hope that the testing servers will uncover extreme cases like this to prevent them from making it to the actual release.
Don’t worry, in 3-6 months Massive will do another balance pass. Then another and another and another.
ToeCtter on reddit
Diversity only applies in PvE, in PvP it’s all about the meta and without it you are dead meat. That will never change.

Lol, that’s going to be nerfed before TU6 comes out, I’ll bet
frohb on reddit
How the talents and weapons will look with the new Title Update 6 remains to be seen. However, if cases like this already occur on the testing server, it should at least give the developers something to think about.
What else did the testing server have to offer? With the end of the testing servers, the developers can focus entirely on the release of the major Title Update 6. You can read about the highlights that the testing server had to offer here.
Sometimes it’s all about winning in Overwatch and you can gladly use every sneaky trick available to you…
Actually, matches in Overwatch are decided by various factors. The skill of individual players, their teamwork, and adaptability are probably the most important traits. But now and then players secure victory by resorting to methods their opponents simply do not expect – like using the chat. Streamer Beeftipsy took advantage of this.
What happened? During the fight on the map Volskaya Industries, Beeftipsy positioned himself at one of the side entrances to stop the enemy defenders. However, since agile characters were in constant motion, landing a headshot would have been difficult without revealing his position through some missed shots. But how do you get an opponent to simply stand still for a moment? Right, you address them in the chat.

That’s exactly what he did, typing “Hey Ashe” in the global chat. After Ashe stood still to respond with “???”, it was already done. That brief moment of standing still was enough time for him to land a headshot and send Ashe back to the respawn room.
Streamer acknowledges his “mistake”: Beeftipsy apparently feels a bit guilty afterward, admitting, “I’ll probably go to hell for this.” Nevertheless, he seemed to have a lot of fun with it. Quite unlike Ashe, who, after her hit, expresses her anger in the chat and lets loose her fury.
What do you think of such an approach? Is it mean, unsportsmanlike, and should it be banned? Or is it just a fun tactic that only works a few times anyway?
Anointed enemies are among the toughest nuts to crack in Borderlands 3. Are they perhaps too strong?
These are anointed enemies: Once you’ve completed the story in Borderlands 3, there are several ways to occupy yourself in the game’s endgame. Both the True Vault Hunter mode and the various Mayhem levels can keep you quite busy.
The Mayhem mode not only makes everything harder and introduces random elements into the world of Borderlands 3. You will also encounter significantly more “anointed” enemies.
The “anointed” are enemies that are even stronger than, for example, badass enemies – but not bosses. They have abilities such as specific immunities or invulnerability phases, the ability to teleport, or special elemental attacks. In short: They are damn difficult to take down.
Anointed enemies are brutally hard to defeat in the endgame
This is how strong anointed enemies are in Mayhem mode: If you have activated the hardest level, Mayhem 3, the name says it all. A fight against an anointed enemy can become a brutal stand-off. Because: The various random modifications in Mayhem 3 can also provide you with additional disadvantages.
You can choose between different Mayhem levels
For example, it can happen that your weapons suddenly only deal half damage in the area where the enemy is located. Or that the element you’re geared towards suddenly doesn’t do much.
At the same time, an “anointed” can ambush you, exhibiting just the right immunities against your build. Then you can expect a really long fight, which may not end in your favor.
Borderlands 3 players are at their wit’s end – or?
This is how players cope with the challenge: On reddit, there are lively discussions about “Anointed Enemies.” Most players agree that it’s cool that there is no universally applicable build that steamrolls everything in its path. However, many players view the anointed enemies as a fight against windmills. This means: Many players find the battles against the quasi-bosses sometimes just too tough – even at a high level.
Several Zane players on reddit report that anointed enemies are unimpressed by the character’s cryo abilities. They prefer to withdraw when an anointed enemy appears – even when Zane is now stronger. However, the other characters also have problems when the “anointed” suddenly become invulnerable, blast lasers at you, or teleport out of the line of fire only to attack from nowhere again. There is a lack of weaknesses. You can see how such a fight can unfold in this video from “Simple Ape“:

Some players on reddit report having fewer problems. However, they admit that they may have just hit on the right build. Others see the enemies solely as a challenge to overcome, no matter how long it takes.
The majority of players, however, criticize the design of the anointed enemies quite sharply and wish for a nerf. Especially the temporary invulnerability bothers many.
Furthermore, many players feel that the anointed enemies drop too little powerful loot. However, when it comes to this enemy, you are at the right place:
Even a dog can play Minecraft . While that’s true, whether the dog will actually succeed is another matter …
Few computer games have stood the test of time as well as Minecraft. Even years after its release, the game still has thousands of streamers and YouTubers covering it, and thanks to new patches, there are always fresh contents to discover. However, some YouTubers seem to want to bring friends into the blocky world over the years, but also the animal companions.
At least that’s what YouTuber Liam Thompson thought, who wanted to teach his dog the basics of Minecraft.

A special keyboard just for dogs: As preparation, a keyboard is first disassembled, which ultimately contains only 2 keys. One for “walk” and one for “destroy” (i.e., hit / break). By using two large pieces of cardboard, only these two keys remain, which the dog then has to learn.
Treats for “destroying”: Then follows the long and hard training, where Thompson tries to teach the dog the two commands. While success takes a while at first and the dog seems rather confused, he later understands the instructions and executes them correctly. As a small bonus, he even (accidentally) discovered jumping in the game.
Or to put it in Thompson’s words: “We managed to get Max to destroy things. We managed to get him to walk. He now masters all the basics of a Minecrafter!”
This is of course a bit self-ironic, but the video has turned out to be quite cute and funny.
Now Max just has to learn to use the mouse and panic bark when encountering a Creeper …
Viewers find it adorable: In the comments, viewers show themselves more or less enthusiastic. Most find this action extremely cute, but some jokingly express their concern:
It’s funny now, but when he starts chatting with others, it will get creepy!
While others ask:
Impressive – but can Max tame a dog in Minecraft?
That would probably be the next step.
What do you think of this action? Is it silly and should one not do this with an animal? Or is the learning for the dog just a fun game with rewards?
Warface was released for PC in 2013 and now has 13 million players according to publisher My.com. Let’s take a look at how the online shooter is doing.
What is Warface? The free-to-play shooter was released for PC in 2013 and then released for PS4 and Xbox One in 2018.
You experience fast PvE and PvP matches in many modes, with and against other players. We have looked at Warface in a test.
Warface is doing well
What is the current situation of the game? Originally, Warface was developed by Crytek in Kiev, but the developers have since parted ways with Crytek and are now continuing to work on the shooter at the newly founded studio Blackwood Games in collaboration with publisher My.com.
My.com has now commented on how the game is currently doing. The console versions have reached 13 million players in just one year since release. The company did not disclose the PC numbers. Nevertheless, this shows that Warface is quite popular.
For the situation on PC, we can refer to the Steam version. According to Steamcharts, it averaged 2,110 concurrent players over the past 30 days. The reviews during this period were at 69%.
How does the publisher see the situation: My.com has commented on Warface in an interview. Apparently, the console versions are experiencing significant growth. In the first three months, Warface was able to attract around 5 million players on PS4 and Xbox One, and now there are 13 million. The console version was a lucky strike and has noticeably expanded the player base.
According to Ivan Pabiarzhyn, head of the “Warface” brand, there is a marked difference between the preferences of console and PC players. On console, PvE content is completed more frequently, while PC fans mainly play in PvP. Additionally, many of the players on Xbox One and PS4 come from the USA, while in Europe, more players are active on PC.
Ivan Pabiarzhyn sees the continuous development of the shooter as the recipe for success. New modes and maps as well as weapons are constantly being added. Furthermore, players enjoy the achievement system, and the Battle Pass is also well received.
My.com intends to support Warface for a very long time and apparently sees a great future for the shooter.
In terms of eSports, Warface is particularly popular in Russia. Now the PS4 version is also set to become eSports-capable. A tournament is planned for October or November.

What does the future of the game look like? The developers are currently working on a new update that introduces the robot SED (Synthetic Engineered Double) as a new class. This is supposed to turn balancing on its head and enable new playstyles. In addition, the Titan update is set to introduce unique weapons and achievements in Warface. New modes and maps are also planned.
Furthermore, the team is already thinking a bit further into the future. Since the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett are expected to be released next year, Crytek is also supposed to play a role on these platforms. However, this does not mean that development for PS4 and Xbox One will be abandoned. The game appears to be doing so well that a port to the upcoming console generation makes sense.
Warface will continue to rely on the CryEngine in the future, but for upcoming titles, My.com wants to use Unreal Engine 4. Additionally, a mobile version of Warface is already in the works. However, it is still uncertain when this will be released.
My.com intends to support Warface for a very long time and apparently sees a great future for the shooter.
The opening of Destiny 2 has been revised for the free-to-play version “New Light”. Destiny veterans will find this new introduction very familiar.
This is how the opening has changed: Many of you will know the original opening of Destiny 2: The city is attacked and destroyed by the Cabal under the leadership of Dominus Ghaul, and the Traveler is captured. But this changes for the New Light version of Destiny 2.
In the new opening, the freshly created Guardians start just like in Destiny 1 in the old Cosmodrome. There, they are greeted with the usual “Eyes up, Guardian!” and must fight their way through the ruins of the old space station to reach the abandoned ship.
Some elements of the D1 opening have been changed. The Guardians do not need to repair the ship, for example, and the Tower looks like in Destiny 2. But overall, it is a Destiny déjà vu.

New Guardians will have access to these features: As seen in the video, the Tower is not destroyed and serves as a social hub for the new Guardians. This is already the new Tower that the Guardians have claimed after the original Tower was destroyed at the beginning of Destiny 2.
There, they can accept the questline called “New Light” which shows them the basic functions of Destiny 2 and guides them through the world. For example, the new Guardians will visit Earth and Dervim Kay.
The missions are not mandatory but still useful, as at the end of them the level of the new Guardians is raised from 750 to 770.
The Drifter
Gradually, the new Guardians can start a variety of activities. These include, among others:
Story missions from Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind
Strikes
Bounties
Gambit
All PvP content

At the end of September, a new developer livestream took place about Ashes of Creation. In it, the developers also spoke about the PvP game Apocalypse – and why it is so important for the MMORPG.
What is Apocalypse? On September 24, Intrepid Studios released the free MMO Ashes of Creation Apocalypse. It is a pure PvP game, which currently only features a Battle Royale mode.
However, Apocalypse is set to receive more modes, including fortress sieges and the horde mode, which will introduce PvE enemies for the first time.
Apocalypse can be played on the official website and on Steam.
Why are some players concerned about Apocalypse? The MMORPG Ashes of Creation is currently not even in Alpha, while Apocalypse has been released as a standalone game.
In the new livestream, however, the developers reassure players, provide insights into the development of the MMORPG, and show how Apocalypse fits into it.
Apocalypse is used to build the Alpha
Why should players be excited about Apocalypse? According to the developers, the standalone PvP game primarily serves for the construction of the upcoming Alpha and the subsequent beta tests.
All the problems and issues that have already arisen with Apocalypse will thus be prevented in the upcoming tests and also at the later release. So, there have already been some improvements to the backend, including:
Scaling of servers so that more players can be online simultaneously.
Issues with various crashes.
Issues with lags and rubberbanding.
Adjustments to the layout of the game world and objects at a far distance (Hierarchical Level of Detail).
How does Apocalypse affect the MMORPG? Besides the backend, the combat system plays an essential role in Ashes of Creation. Already, differences can be seen between the first tests of Apocalypse in August and the current version.
The reason for this was mentioned by Alex Khudoliy, Programmer, in the stream:
We’ve been incredibly focused this month on adjusting the combat system, so a lot of work has gone into features like hitting multiple targets with one attack, 360-degree swings, and the variables for damage.
Additionally, the TTK (Time to Kill) has been adjusted so that players do not die too quickly. From these longer fights, the developers can gather more data for the upcoming combat system in the MMORPG.
However, the developers also acknowledge that battle royale does not reflect a complete MMORPG. Nevertheless, the data from the tests are extremely important for Ashes of Creation itself.
New developer letter, contests, and leaderboards
What else was revealed in the livestream? Fans of Apocalypse can look forward to leaderboards soon. Currently, details are still being worked on, but it is firmly planned as a new feature.
Additionally, a letter from the Creative Director is expected this week, which will provide news about the MMORPG.
Fans of Ashes of Creation can also look forward to the first giveaways starting in October. Gaming peripherals related to the game will be raffled off.

The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online has been struggling with performance issues for a while now. But now it is going to tackle these problems head-on. Zenimax presents a plan on how to get a grip on the annoying stutters.
What is the problem? Lag and stuttering are common occurrences in ESO for many players. Especially in cities and when there is a lot happening, the performance can drop significantly.
Players have long been demanding a solution. With the release of the Elsweyr expansion, the situation has worsened: ESO seems to be bursting at the seams. The developers had expected that the influx of players would decline as the MMORPG ages. But apparently, there are more players than ever – this puts a strain on the servers.
But now improvements are on the way.
There is a plan
What does the solution to the problem look like? Zenimax has announced that they will address the issues and has now released an updated roadmap. A plan listing which improvements will be made to the game in the coming months.
The first step is Update 24, which is planned for the fourth quarter of this year. This update is supposed to bring the following performance improvements:
The memory management will be revamped – Update 24 will already bring some improvements in this area, with further optimizations planned for Update 25.
Improvements to the combat system – Phase 1 – The new sprinting and sprinting for mounts, as well as improvements to passive champion abilities will come with Update 24.
The group search system will be completely rebuilt – The new search for dungeons and battlegrounds will be introduced with Update 24.
2020 continues
Further updates are planned for the first quarter of 2020:
Patch system overhaul – This improvement is planned for Update 25.
Faster loading for environmental elements and characters – Initial tests will take place soon, but the system is planned for Update 25.
Improvements to the combat system – Phase 2 – Zenimax has not yet revealed what exactly these will look like.
Graphics improvements – Phase 1 – The effect manager, which controls everything in the game related to abilities, needs to be overhauled. This affects particle effects, animations, and movements. CPU performance in this area needs to be improved.
Server optimization and stability – Investigations in this area are ongoing. Zenimax states that they are on schedule.
The updated roadmap was shared on Twitter.
What do the players say about this plan? For many, it is high time that Zenimax improves the performance of The Elder Scrolls Online. The community is looking forward to the upcoming optimizations. Now players just need a bit of patience.
In FIFA 20 the penalty shootout has been revamped. We explain in this tutorial what you need to consider when shooting and saving. You can practice the tips directly.
What is new about penalties in FIFA 20? It’s time to relearn, as FIFA 20 has made significant changes to standard situations. Free kicks and penalties are executed quite differently than in the previous year.
In FIFA 20, a reticle helps you aim. You control it with the left stick of your controller. This allows you to determine where the shot will go. And if you do everything right, you will shoot exactly where you aimed.
How do you shoot penalties now? Unlike in FIFA 19, in FIFA 20 the aim assist determines where the ball will go – not the power with which you shoot. No matter how much power you load up, the ball will always roughly go in the selected direction. But the more shot power, the less accurate the penalty. Plan about 10 minutes to practice penalties so you’re not caught off guard in the game.
Time for practicing penalties: 10 minutes.
How to shoot penalties in FIFA 20:
Choose shooter
Select your shooter with R2/RT. Pay attention to a good penalty value.
Aim correctly at the goal
Aim with the left stick. The most dangerous are penalties in the corner.
Charge shot power
Wait until the indicator is still and charge the shot power. 2 to 3 bars are ideal.
Prepare for finishing
To shoot a really perfect penalty, you can still use the Timed Finishing.
How to shoot the perfect penalty in FIFA 20
Step 1 – How to choose the penalty shooter: With R2/RT you can select the shooter before the shot. Make sure the player has a good penalty value. Because in FIFA 20, this stat has a significant impact on shot precision.
Step 2 – How to aim with the indicator: You determine where you want to shoot with the white circle (the indicator). Use the left stick for this. To shoot an unstoppable penalty, you should aim for the corner. Because a perfect penalty in the corner is hard to save.
Step 3 – How strong should the shot power be: Before you charge the shot power, make sure the indicator is still and not shaking anymore. Only then should you charge the shot power, preferably with 2 to 3 bars. Keep in mind: The more power you apply, the less accurate the shot will be. With optional step 4, you can improve precision.
Step 4 – How to use Timed Finishing: To shoot a really perfect penalty, you can also use Timed Finishing. This makes the shot more precise. For this, you need to press the shot button again at the right moment (just before the foot touches the ball). If the indicator turns green, you’ve done everything right.
How you can save penalties and jump with the goalkeeper
What you need to consider: If you get a penalty against you, you need to catch the ball with your goalkeeper. Here’s how:
Move keeper: Use the left stick to move your goalkeeper on the line. Stand still if you suspect the opponent will shoot in the middle.
Confuse the goalkeeper: To put the shooter off their game, you can make different movements with the buttons “X, Circle, Triangle, Square”/ “Y, B, A, X”.
Jump: To dive, press the right stick in the direction you want to go when the opponent shoots. Pressing down to the left means jumping down to the left, and the same works for the other directions.
General tips and tricks for penalty shooting and saving – You can practice right away
More tips:
Lob: If you want to lob the ball, you need to press the L1/LB button in addition to the shot button.
Curved penalty: To shoot a curved penalty, press R1/RB along with the shot button. This shot may have slightly less power but is more precise than a normal penalty.
Recognizing shot direction: You can tell where the shooter is aiming during the penalty. Pay attention to the player’s head movement. If they lean slightly to the left, they are also aiming to the left. However, this tip does not work reliably.
The former LoL streamer James “Phantoml0rd” Varga sues Twitch. He was actually only allowed to claim $50,000 in damages according to a clause. However, this clause has now been overturned by a judge. The former player of the League of Legends was one of the early stars on Twitch – until a ban in 2016.
This has now been decided: Initially, Varga had a contract with Twitch that included a specific clause: This clause stated that each contracting party could only sue the other for a maximum of $50,000 in damages. This was likely a clause that was contained in many contracts between Twitch and streamers at that time.
A judge in California has now overturned this clause on the grounds that Varga would have earned about $10,000 a month at that time. A limit of $50,000 stands in no relation to the earnings.
The clause is overturned, a small victory for the streamer.
Furthermore, Varga had a disadvantage when signing the contract: He was not sufficiently legally advised. Although he had a college education and had signed contracts before, there was an imbalance in the legal knowledge of both contracting parties, ruled the judge.
The judge also states: The limitation to $50,000 makes a lawsuit against Twitch ultimately pointless, as the attorney fees alone would eat it up.
This does not mean, however, that Varga will receive this money – it only means that he has the prospect of more money if his lawsuit against Twitch is successful.
Other arguments from the streamer, claiming he did not read the contract but only pressed the “big colorful button”, the judge found unbelievable. Because Varga, as a professional user of a computer, must surely know how to operate the mouse wheel to scroll through a contract.
Varga claimed that he only pressed big buttons that said “Sign here” and “Continue” because he thought that was expected of him in the situation. He did not know that he could scroll further in the contract.

PhantomLord was one of the first Twitch stars
Who is PhantomL0rd? James Varga (30) was a mid-laner for two professional teams in the early days of League of Legends, in 2011 and 2012. He had already made a name for himself in games like Counter-Strike, WoW, or Quake 3 Arena.
However, Varga became a streamer on Twitch relatively early, even before the big hype began. Between 2012 and 2016, “PhantomL0rd” built a channel on Twitch that had over a million followers.
