That was quite a “State of the Game”! Yesterday, January 15, the 143rd edition of the community stream aired and brought us a lot of new information about upcoming changes. The gear game of The Division 2, as we know it, will no longer exist.
The Division 2 launched strongly after release and provided many players with a lot of fun in looting & leveling. But once you reached max level, the game suddenly became tedious.
Your inventory is overflowing, there’s hardly any good loot left, and it takes forever to finally develop an eye for the good stuff. That should be coming to an end soon.
A big presentation was shown in the State of the Game. Here are the identified problems and how the developers intend to tackle them.
New Gear Value and Major Overhauls Announced
What was announced? The developers announced massive changes to the gear game of the loot shooter in yesterday’s live stream (January 15) “State of the Game”.
This also means that we are facing a gear reset again, but if the changes come as expected, looting in Division 2 will be significantly better, and thus the entire game.
Which changes are in focus? As announced, the developers discussed the randomness factor of the gear (RNG) and new elements of the user interface (UI) in the stream. The basis was the community’s feedback during the time since the release.
All these issues are now being addressed by the developers, which should resonate with some agents from the gaming community.
Another image shows the new composition of attributes. There will be core attributes, but everything remains recalibrable.
Gear Game Turned Completely Upside Down
What does this look like exactly? Fredrik Thylander, responsible for the RPG elements in Division 2, had prepared a large presentation, giving us a lot of new images and information.
The changes consist of two elements. On one hand, the displays will be adjusted to make it clearer much faster what is good and how it works. On the other hand, talents and nearly all equipment items will be completely overhauled and redesigned.
Good items are too rare
There should be much less loot, but every loot drop should be interesting.
The budget system will disappear; gear can then really roll all stats well.
However, only one recalibration per piece is still possible
The count of named items should be significantly increased, at least doubled
Some build relationships are too unclear
Items will receive core attributes that indicate a specific direction for the equipment item.
Only the vest and the backpack will have a talent, which will then be much stronger.
Damage to elite enemies (DTE) will completely disappear.
The weapon damage system will be completely overhauled.
The brands will receive new values.
Gear will only come with one mod slot.
Mods will only have one value.
It will be more obvious what is enhanced by a value and how the values stack.
“Skill Tiers” will be introduced (more on this in the next stream)
Exotics will be adjusted.
Gear sets will have their own talents that enhance each other.
The bars indicate how close the roll is to the maximum. God rolls will be highlighted in orange.
Players spend too much time on inventory management
The visibility of good items should become clearer, making item management easier.
Brand sets will no longer have different god rolls.
God rolls and good items are too hard to recognize
Direct displays for god rolls and a bar that shows what level the value of an item is at.
God rolls will have their own marking.
Named items should come with super god rolls that can be higher than normal god rolls.
The current gear system hardly rewards specializations; there are too many hybrid builds
Talents will then enhance stats that are combined with the gear.
The talents should be powerful enough to determine the direction of the build.
More talents that strengthen a specific role and make real “damage dealers”, “tanks” or “healers” and other roles possible.
The gear sets will also get a complete makeover and should be more fun and powerful.
Changes Not Expected with TU7 in February
When is all this expected to come? The responsible parties did not give a specific date. However, it certainly will not come with TU7.
Such large changes want the developers to present with a corresponding content drop. It sounds like The Division 2 will enter year 2 with a bang.
What happens to my old gear during the gear overhaul? Along with all the adjustments of the gear game, an increase in the power cap has also been announced.
Your current gear items will not become completely worthless and will be adapted to the new system. However, new builds and farming will definitely be on the agenda.
If you already have stats on your gear that are close to god rolls, these items will also have strong stats in the new system. As the gear value is increased, however, these pieces will need to be replaced with new loot.
Here, it is clear that only the vest and backpack have a talent. The rest only comes with attributes.
Building Will Be Completely Different Afterwards
How will this change Division 2? The changes are really comprehensive and will turn the gear game upside down. Loot drops will become more important, and along with the loot targeting, the rewards will be much more satisfying.
Some of the presented talents reward cooperation with other agents, making it more worthwhile to create a team or solo build.
Next week, the developers will also talk about the new recalibration and the “skill tier” system. If it continues like this, 2020 could really be great.
What do you think of the planned new gear system? Does it annoy you that there is another gear reset, or are you more excited about the changes?
In 2019, MMORPGs were heavily focused on the topic of WoW Classic. However, the much older RuneScape celebrated its most successful year since its release in 2001. It can even compete with Final Fantasy XIV in subscription numbers.
How successful was RuneScape? In 2019, the RuneScape franchise claims to have broken several records:
That year, it gained more new players than ever in its 19-year history.
Old RuneScape was downloaded over 8 million times as a mobile version.
At its peak, 1.1 million players had an active subscription in RuneScape. That was the highest number since 2010, roughly on par with Final Fantasy XIV. Although the MMORPG does not publish exact figures, fan analyses of player statistics show about 1 million active players with characters above the Free2Play limit.
As early as 2018, the head of Jagex, the company behind the MMORPG, reported that RuneScape had grown for the fourth consecutive year. 2019 continued this trend.
The upcoming profession Archaeology
Where does RuneScape’s success come from? Jagex has focused strongly on the RuneScape franchise as a whole. In the meantime, they worked on several other games that failed. Subsequently, they returned to the old game.
With the release of Old School RuneScape in 2013, Jagex did everything right. The re-release of the 2007 game version was well received by fans. They could now choose between the old memories and the current RuneScape version.
Additionally, the increased collaboration with the community has impacted the development of the franchise. Players are not only passionate about the MMORPG but can also help shape it.
The community as co-creators: In Old School RuneScape, players decide which content is added to the game and which is not. New features are proposed, and only if a feature gets 75% approval from the community, will it be implemented.
How crazy is the RuneScape community? The RuneScape community is very close to the game and loves it dearly. We experienced this love ourselves when we attended MeinMMO at the annual RuneFestival 2019.
At this festival, fans, streamers, and artists around the RuneScape franchise are honored; a bit like an Oscars ceremony, complete with red carpet and trophy. Additionally, activities are offered on site, and panels about the game are held.
Fans love the event and even pay the very expensive entry fee of £135 and travel costs. In return, they expect like-minded individuals and an incredible atmosphere.
What is happening in RuneScape in 2020? In addition to many new updates that will bring a new profession and new dungeons to the game, particularly the mobile release of RuneScape is in the spotlight.
At the end of 2019, testing began for this, and in 2020, the newer version of RuneScape is intended to attract new players via smartphones and tablets, just like its predecessor.
What else is Jagex working on? In 2018, Jagex announced that they are developing a new next-gen MMORPG. It was supposed to be connected to RuneScape but is still in an early development stage.
Since the announcement, there has been little new information. Only an update in early 2019 indicated that a well-known developer has been hired and that the MMORPG is to be developed in Unreal Engine 4.
Where are the problems at Jagex? While the RuneScape franchise is doing well, there are always concerns surrounding the company Jagex. It was sold in 2016 to the Chinese company Shangdong Hongda.
While RuneScape has experienced a surge, the Chinese company has not performed well. Its stock value has significantly dropped in recent years. There are continuous hints that Jagex may be sold again. However, this has not happened yet.
RuneScape is doing very well at the beginning of 2020. But where do the most well-known MMORPGs stand? We’ll tell you:
In the MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW), Patch 8.3 is live. It revolves around the Old God “N’Zoth”, a being like out of a story from H.P. Lovecraft. The developers explain: It plays out like a horror movie. Therefore, the Old God only receives “a patch” and no own expansion.
Who is speaking? It is Steve Danuser, the head storyteller of WoW, the lead narrative designer. He gave Venturebeat and Polygon interviews about the current patch 8.3. He explains,
what the Old God N’Zoth has to do with WoW Classic
how Blizzard aligns the story with successful horror movies
what is happening with N’Zoth’s Eye (Gift of N’Zoth)
The actions of the Old Gods run through the history of World of Warcraft. Even in WoW Classic, one could feel their influence:
When exploring Classic, many dungeons are indeed woven around things that happen directly under the influence of the Old Gods – things like Ahn’Qirai. The Old Gods were one of the greatest threats of the Old World. […] Now you have the chance to truly meet the last of the four original Old Gods that threaten the world.
Steve Danuser
N’Zoth is a monster story
That’s why N’Zoth works like a horror movie: A key question is why N’Zoth receives “only” his own patch with 8.3 and no own expansion.
People love the idea and it would be cool, but [N’Zoth] is not something that necessarily needs a whole expansion built around it. N’Zoth is a horror story, a monster story. And most successful horror movies or books use the monster very rarely and in very specific ways.
If you had to deal with the Old Gods constantly, 24/7, month after month, it might not be so eerie or so cool anymore.
But those who thought they could still help N’Zoth and the Old Gods to victory will be disappointed by Blizzard, as the Old Gods want to consume all reality:
At the end of the day, we need to do something about their presence. We cannot allow your character to run around uncontrolled or anything like that.
Steve Danuser
The “Eye of N’Zoth” was introduced because Blizzard knows how popular the Old Gods are, but players will not have a chance to aspire to a rule of the Old Gods over Azeroth. The “Eye of N’Zoth” was never meant to be an important part of character development, unlike the decision between Saurfang and Sylvanas that Horde players had to make.
What’s next with Patch 8.3 and the Old Gods? After the end of Patch 8.3, the Old Gods will probably not play a further role for a while. But Steve Danuser says: The forces behind N’Zoth will definitely remain in the game. Ultimately, the cosmic force of the Void stands behind the Old Gods.
With these cosmic forces and the mysteries of the universe, WoW will deal with the time after Patch 8.3. They are “part of the roadmap”. The next expansion, Shadowlands, is supposed to explore a new plane of existence, the existence in the afterlife – the Shadowlands.
In Destiny 2 you have a lot of loot to manage. Read how to organize your inventory clearly and quickly plan your next raid as well as what useful aids are available to you.
Useful for newcomers and veterans: Whether as a freshly baked New-Light Guardian or as a long-time Destiny player – who doesn’t know it? You need an automatic rifle for a loot run, but you only have your hand cannons and snipers. The enemies in the strike all have Arc shields, but you have no Arc weapon at hand.
We present you options that address exactly such problems. This should be a guide for new players. Afterwards, we will take a look at more useful support features of the apps. This way you always have an overview in your Guardian’s daily routine and can comfortably manage your next adventures via smartphone – even on the go.
The champions can only be defeated with certain weapons – hopefully you have the right gun with you
This is what the Ishtar Commander for Destiny2 offers
The useful Ishtar Commander was already the most popular item manager during the times of Destiny 1. Managing your equipment is a breeze with this app.
The third-party app accesses your Destiny account via an API (application programming interface) after logging in. The application is available for both Android and Apple devices. The use is completely legal and permitted by Bungie.
This is what the Ishtar Commander can do: Many Guardians have overflowing vaults. Countless different rolls take up space and all look very similar at first glance. This is where the Ishtar Commander shows its strength. These features are convincing:
You can quickly and clearly access your vault. This saves a lot of time, especially on consoles. Moreover, it doesn’t matter whether you are in a mission or elsewhere. The transfer works smoothly.
If you have more than one character, you can easily move items between your Guardians. You don’t have to log out and take a look at your twinks’ inventories.
The Ishtar Commander provides more info than in-game
Collectors benefit immensely: With a click on the equipment, all details are revealed. In addition to perks or mods, the app also shows hidden stats like aim assist and recoil direction.
You can automatically equip your most powerful gear with just a few clicks. This way, you can see what maximum power level you can achieve.
You can choose between several languages – including German.
You also get an overview of your bounties, quests, and weekly activities and challenges.
Manage your post office on the go.
You can now also use the popular Ishtar Commander on your computer. In the desktop version, navigation and orientation are even easier.
Even more overview in the desktop version
This is what the official Destiny 2 Companion can do
The app provided by Destiny developer Bungie itself has been continuously improved. Meanwhile, this application is a real competitor for other item managers.
This is what the Companion app offers: In principle, the Companion (English: Companion) has similar functions as, for example, the Ishtar Commander. You can also transfer equipment between characters or the vault. Unfortunately, the unofficial application is faster and looks cleaner. However, Bungie’s product scores with a host of cool features that you look for in the competitors:
You can change the perks of your weapons on the go. This works as soon as the item is in a Guardian’s inventory.
There is an overview for clan management.
You can view your Bungie account and make settings.
The “Companions” feature allows you to get detailed reports on progress in the season pass or the level and inventory of vendors.
This is the highlight of the Companion app: The coolest feature of the official Destiny Companion can be found under the “Strike Team” tab. This allows you to assemble a strike team yourself. Alternatively, you can join an existing team.
You can select from many categories such as raid, nightfall, or dungeon as well as PvP. These are just a few examples out of many. In fact, all areas of Destiny 2 can be individually selectable. If you want, you can write a brief description of your plan or start planning for the weekend.
You can also change the platform you are on as well as the language that your teammates should speak. If you are the creator of a strike team, you can comfortably invite your group via the app and get started immediately. An LFG feature is included here.
Plan your next raid run conveniently
Our conclusion on the support tools for Destiny 2: If you mainly deal with your gear and have a fixed team on hand, you should definitely go for the Ishtar Commander. Nowhere else can loot be managed as quickly and clearly.
If you prioritize the social aspects of Destiny 2 and other comfort features, you will be happy with the official Destiny Companion. In no time, you have a whole Guardian team together and ready to tackle the toughest activities.
How do you play Destiny 2? Do you rely fully on app support or do you prefer to fly to the Tower yourself? Do you have a favorite among the applications? What apps or websites would you recommend to newcomers or other Guardians?
So far, there has been no reaction from another major streamer regarding Ninja’s skin. Tfue is currently number 1 on Twitch, but at least on Twitter, he is pretty quiet. His last tweet promoted his livestream – he did not comment on Ninja’s tweet or Fortnite.
What does DrDisrespect say? Known for his role as a macho who likes to throw around trash talk, there was curiosity about the reaction of streamer DrDisrespect .
In his tweet, he showed goodwill towards Ninja.
I’ll put it this way: It took way too long for Epic to release an influencer skin. Especially a Ninja skin.
Those thin developers from North Carolina are finally awake.
In his tweet, he also symbolically writes of a firm handshake to congratulate Ninja on the skin.

Twitch streamers from LoL want something like that for themselves
Should LoL do the same? It’s intriguing that streamers from other games are speaking up. VoyBoy, Doublelift, and Trick2G, known as League of Legends players, comment on Ninja’s tweet. Voyboy writes simply “Legend”, Doublelift acknowledges “Holy shit, this is insane”.
Trick2G expresses an idea. “LoL should provide me with something like this,” he writes. The streamer is well known in the LoL community – has often caused a stir with his unusual jungle methods or his outbursts.
A reference to the embarrassing New Year’s Eve event, where Ninja asked 1 million people to dance, failed miserably, and then exclaimed that he didn’t see enough movement.
TimTheTatman had to take a jab himself. Streamer Jack “CouRage” Dunlop posted a garbage bag and writes, “I’m so happy for my boy TimTheTatman. Congratulations on your own Fortnite skin. You’ve worked so hard for it.”

Finally, the time has come: The popular Fortnite streamer Ninja has his own skin in Epic’s Battle Royale. What do his fellow streamers on Twitch say about it? Jealousy or congratulations?
This is the situation: On January 15, 2020, developer Epic Games announced a new series of cosmetic outfits that they will be selling in Fortnite: Battle: the Icon Series.
Kicking it off is the livestreamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. His set includes
The news of the Ninja skin quickly spread across social channels. Twitch streamers friendly with Ninja such as Ben “DrLupo” Lupo or Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar commented positively about it.
DrLupo writes:
Every little detail of this skin is so great. Hats off to the artists who made it look so good.
Congratulations, buddy. Something you have joked about for a long time – now it’s real.
TimTheTatman writes: “So proud of my boy Ninja.”
But there is also a small diss from TimTheTatman. He shows the Ninja skin in his stream and performs a Fortnite dance with it. He then shouts, “Hey guys, I don’t see enough movement!”, dances the dance and laughs.

Even the Fortnite prodigy Mongraal and streamer Myth congratulate Ninja.
Pro player KingRichard writes: “Once again, you open doors”: this indicates that streamers now hope for personal benefits from pioneer Ninja, similar to the big Mixer deal. Because after Ninja switched from Twitch to Mixer for a lot of money, other streamers also had a big payday. (via Twitter).
So far, there has been no reaction from another major streamer regarding Ninja’s skin. Tfue is currently number 1 on Twitch, but at least on Twitter, he is pretty quiet. His last tweet promoted his livestream – he did not comment on Ninja’s tweet or Fortnite.

The Community Day in January is coming up in Pokémon GO. This time it’s all about the Water starter Piplup. We’ll give an overview of the start time, Shinies, and bonuses.
What is the Community Day? This event takes place every month. It always revolves around an event Pokémon that appears more frequently as a Shiny. There are also many bonuses that complement the event.
Start Times and Bonuses – All Info about the Community Day
What: The Pokémon GO Community Day in January 2020 When: On Sunday, January 19, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM German time Pokémon of the Day: Piplup Exclusive Attack: Hydro Cannon for Empoleon Bonus: Incubators take only a quarter of the time to hatch Bonus: During the Community Day, Piplup hatches from 2-km eggs and appears in raids Bonus: 3-hour Lure Modules Additional Bonus: You can evolve Empoleon until 4:00 PM to learn the exclusive attack
Note the times: The Community Day takes place in Germany at 11 AM. All countries in the Northern Hemisphere have these start times. The countries in the Southern Hemisphere start their event in the afternoon.
How to Make the Most of Community Day
This bonus is crucial: Once again, it’s all about hatching eggs, as the hatch distance is reduced. So make the most of this bonus, and with a bit of luck, you can hatch new Pokémon from Generation 5.
It is important that you only place eggs in the incubator after the event starts. Before that, the reduced distance does not count. Ideally, place the eggs so that they hatch at the same time. Then you can use a Star Piece concurrently and earn more Stardust.
Stock up on your Stardust: Not only do the eggs bring in a lot of Stardust during the event. The spawns are increased during Community Day, and you can catch a ton of Pokémon.
So make sure to use the catching trick to catch a lot of Pokémon and collect Stardust. The more Pokémon you catch, the more Shinies you’ll catch.
Choose the right place to play: A small village is probably not ideal for a Community Day. So consider traveling to the next larger city for the Community Day. Ideally, choose a location with many PokéStops, where, in the best case, many Lure Modules are activated.
Shiny Piplup, Prinplup, and Empoleon
Is there a Shiny Piplup? As always, the Shiny of the event Pokémon is a highlight of Community Day. This time Shiny Piplup will be available for the first time.
The Shiny is a bit lighter than the normal form. So, the difference is not that obvious.
What are the chances of Shiny Piplup? You will have good chances for a Shiny. During Community Day, the rate for Shiny Piplup is increased. It is approximately 1 in 25. Normally, the Shiny chance for such Pokémon is 1 in 450.
Empoleon with Hydro Cannon – What can the move do?
This is the move: Like every Water starter before, Empoleon can learn Hydro Cannon. This is a powerful Charged Move of Water type.
How good is Hydro Cannon? Empoleon will significantly improve with this attack. It rises to the best Water attackers and ranks 4th among the top attackers.
Empoleon with this attack compared to other Water Pokémon.
So it is a strong alternative to the best attackers but does not necessarily have to belong to your team.
How to learn the move? To do this, you need to evolve your Empoleon on Sunday between 11 AM and 4 PM. During this period, it learns the move through evolution. After that, or only through TMs, the move cannot be learned.
Use These Items on Community Day
Egg Incubators – 9 or more
For the Community Day bonus, you should have enough incubators. With 9 incubators, you can hatch a total of 27 eggs, which is not bad for 3 hours.
Star Pieces – 6 or more
With 6 Star Pieces, you can permanently earn 1.5 times the Stardust for the entire 3 hours. This is definitely worth it with the many spawns.
Lure Modules – 3 or more
You should make use of 3-hour Lure Modules and also throw in a few modules. Ideally, choose a location with many PokéStops clustered together.
Balls – 200 or more
Without balls, you can’t catch any Pokémon. Therefore, collect at least 200 balls, so you don’t run out during the event. Great Balls and Ultra Balls would be ideal since Piplup is certainly not easy to catch.
In Gen 5, there are still some strong Pokémon coming your way. We’ll show you the highlights:
Currently, the community is working hard on Destiny 2 to solve a new massive puzzle – the quest “Exploration of the Corridors of Time.” But it seems like the Guardians will have to work on it for a while longer.
What is currently happening in Destiny 2? Since the Weekly Reset on January 14, many players have been diligently working on solving a quest called “Exploration of the Corridors of Time,” which brings a huge new puzzle.
As with many puzzles before, the Destiny community is currently coming together again. Many players, streamers, and Destiny experts are actively working together to solve the puzzle in a mysterious labyrinth of time and reach a mysterious tomb.
This is what it looks like in the Labyrinth of Time
What is the current status of the new mega-puzzle? The community has already made the first major step yesterday, on January 15. This involved walking through a labyrinth in the correct order to unlock a total of 19 different symbol codes.
Source: KackisHD
This revealed further symbol combinations in the time-warped vault, the final room of the labyrinth, from which the Guardians have put together a sort of large labyrinth map.
Will this large map bring the solution? (Source: Reddit user C00ps935)
But now the community just can’t seem to move forward. They still can’t reach the tomb in the middle of the last room. A lot has been tried; various patterns and symbol sequences have been walked through on the map. But no further progress has been made.
Many of these patterns make up the large map (Source: KackisHD)
This is what Bungie says: While some involved Guardians have already despaired, many, such as professional player Gladd, continued diligently until late into the night yesterday.
The community is working on a solution
However, Bungie then spoke up. In a tweet, it said: “Broken into many pieces, the Corridors of Time must be reassembled. The solution is a marathon, not a sprint.”

Later, the community manager dmg04 also spoke up on Twitter. There he urged Gladd’s chat to spam “Go to bed” so that the visibly exhausted streamer would finally set the puzzle aside and get some sleep.

What does this mean for the puzzle? Even though many Guardians are still working on a solution in various sub-Reddits, streams, and social media – it seems there will be no quick solution for this puzzle, especially since it is like a marathon and they are trying to send people to bed.
Some therefore suspect that further progress may be tied to a time lock or that more patterns or hints may emerge over the days through which the puzzle could continue or be solved. But according to Bungie, there will be no time gate. It seems it will simply take an incredibly long time to gather all the necessary data and patterns.
How does one access this tomb? (Source: Reddit user MrTurtleWings)
What do you think? How will the puzzle continue? Are you actively participating in the solution, watching it casually, or do such contents leave you cold?
Cortyn was initially skeptical, but now he is having a lot of fun with Patch 8.3 in World of Warcraft. But will this last long or fade away quickly?
Since yesterday (January 15, 2020), Patch 8.3 in World of Warcraft is live. I do not hide the fact that I was quite skeptical. This was mainly because I would have preferred to dedicate an entire expansion to an antagonist like N’Zoth rather than just a single patch. But also the fact that almost “only” old areas are being revised and there is little that is truly new made me skeptical.
But at least for now, I can put my doubts aside with confidence. I am having fun with Patch 8.3, as the content is really well done.
Great story combined with grind: First of all, I must congratulate Blizzard for the successful combination of the main story with grind elements. The large quest storyline around N’Zoth is cleverly integrated into the new endgame areas, so the initial repulsion of N’Zoth’s attacks does not feel bothersome at all.
For me, it was just a (somewhat more extensive) quest step that I liked. This has given me a more positive attitude towards the attacks and I will surely complete them many more times.
But the sheer length of the questline is also impressive. I think I was moving quite quickly, yet I still took just over 2 hours, excluding the completion of the attacks. This is due to several interesting scenarios, cool cutscenes, and a dense atmosphere.
Diversion from the dreary everyday life: I particularly want to highlight the events during the attacks. There is really a lot of variety. In addition to the usual “Defend the NPC” events, there are also mini-games with small puzzles, such as the solar panels in Uldum. I also positively noticed the “stepping on eyes while dodging a laser” in the Valley of Eternal Blossoms.
The small inserts and events clearly lighten the action, making everything feel less grindy than it actually is.
Disturbing visions are my favorite: However, my personal highlight is the Disturbing Visions, which remind me strongly of the Chromie scenario. In the visions, you have limited time and must primarily achieve one goal: kill the final boss. This also marks the end of the visit.
Those who are brave can complete additional objectives in the instance, save some residents or simply kill a few enemies to increase the reward.
The trick is to plan your remaining health in such a way that you still have enough left to defeat the final boss, regardless of what else you have accomplished. For this, there is a new resource that can be invested back into talent points, which increases your strength in the Disturbing Visions.
This way, you can last longer, deal more damage, or even be resurrected once.
The only downside: The visions are massively limited. You can only visit them 2-3 times a week. Additionally, it can be very frustrating if you die due to a silly mistake and thus get set back in the upgrade of the legendary cloak or the talents for the visions.
Conclusion: Patch 8.3 has hooked me, but for how long?
In summary, Patch 8.3 has managed to break me out of my current WoW fatigue. I have spent many hours in a row back in the game and I am currently really excited about the new raid and more disturbing visions. Blizzard always manages to rekindle the fire in the fans.
However, I also have a slight fear that this fun will not last forever – probably not even for particularly long. After the main story has more or less been completed, one falls back into the daily routine. Those are the emissary quests, a quick visit to a small vision and a handful of daily quests.
Great variety does not seem to be expected and as soon as the attacks repeat after 2 weeks, the thrill could be gone again.
But until then I am having fun – and besides, the new raid is coming too…
How do you like Patch 8.3 so far? What is your first impression?
The currently ongoing Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is being extended. There will be quite a few things to do, including earning a new weapon.
The developers announced: In a new developer blog, Infinity Ward surprisingly announced that they will extend the ongoing Season 1 of CoD Modern Warfare – by one week.
The first season started on December 3, 2019, and was originally supposed to last until February 3. The new end date for Season 1 has now been set to February 11.
Why the extension? In the coming weeks, a lot of new items and challenges are supposed to make their way into the game – including an in-game challenge where you can earn a new weapon.
Additionally, further game modes, new playlists, and extra store content will be activated.
To accommodate everything before the season ends, Season 1 of Modern Warfare has been extended. Furthermore, during this time
Double XP
Double Weapon XP
Double tier progression in the Battle Pass will be provided
The roadmap for Season 1 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare
What new weapon is coming? The new weapon will officially be a crossbow.
The crossbow is already known from previous “Call of Duty” installments like Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Advanced Warfare, or World War 2, and had a loyal fan base there. Infinity Ward has not yet revealed details about the corresponding challenge or the exact function of the crossbow.
This is what the new crossbow probably looks like: Last November, clever players first noticed an in-game poster featuring a crossbow, hinting at the weapon.
The weapon apparently comes from XRK, a fictional brand that enhances some firearms in Modern Warfare with blueprints featuring new attachments in a special look.
Subsequently, initial in-game images of the new weapon itself have already surfaced. They came from a short video that leaked its way onto YouTube and social media.

It seems that the leaker TheGamingRevolution was right about this information as well.
What do you think of the new weapon? Are you already looking forward to going hunting with the crossbow soon?
In Fortnite, you should once again search for dwarves. Two tasks will send you across the map – we will show you the locations.
New Overtime Challenges: In the Glibber/Mud challenge and the 8-Ball challenge, the Overtime Challenges require you to find a dwarf each. However, to unlock the sub-challenge, you must complete the previous tasks. The Glibber mission sends you to search with the following instructions:
Find the dwarf hidden between the Logjam Lumberyard, a shed, and a bucket tree.
For the 8-Ball challenge, you need to follow these instructions:
Find the dwarf hidden between the spot “Nice View”, a wooden cabin, and a big house.
If you complete the tasks, you will be one step closer to the new variants of the Battle Pass skins. We have marked the locations of both dwarves for you on the map:
Dwarf between Logjam Lumberyard, a shed, and a bucket tree
Here you can find the dwarf: To find the Logjam dwarf, you need to travel to the west of the map. It is located on the path between Slurpy Swamp and Holly Hedges. It’s best to start from Slurpy Swamp, then you will find the Logjam Lumberyard near the swamp area.
You should also be able to find the shed and the tree with the buckets quickly. You will then find the Logjam dwarf at a tree in the swamp that is easy to overlook.
You can see the exact location here in the video:

Here you can find the dwarf: You will find the dwarf near the edge of the map, in the middle of a green meadow below Sweaty Sands. There he stands among yellow flowers and just needs to be picked up.
This second dwarf is also located in the west of the map. If you have already completed the corresponding Battle Pass level and challenges, you can tackle both dwarves in one go. For the Glibber missions, you need to have reached level 50 in the Battle Pass, and for the 8-Ball missions, level 60.
If you want to take a closer look at the location, you can find it here in the video:

Challenges are not the only new thing: The new update 11.40 brought new content to the game in addition to bug fixes. Among other things, the heavy assault rifle was taken out of the vault again. Three new items were also added to the Battle Lab.

In Destiny 2, the Guardians are currently puzzled over a surprise quest. Let me tell you why this is so interesting and enjoyable for many.
What’s happening in Destiny 2 right now? Without much announcement, a secret quest was recently discovered. For about 24 hours now, the Guardians have been working on the task “Exploration of the Corridors of Time”.
Many progress has already been made – however, the puzzle is still not completely solved. I would like to briefly explain to you why such tasks continually fascinate in the world of Destiny.
The surprise is important: An important factor in the success of such missions is the element of surprise. Those who took a look at the roadmap during yesterday’s reset will have noticed with boredom that no fresh, seasonal content was being served.
When the first rumors spread that Osiris had a secret quest, many people’s curiosity was piqued. The information spread quickly, and a corresponding Reddit thread gathered almost 8000 upvotes and 1300 comments in no time.
Although pre-announced content also sparks player interest, the feeling of being surprised by the game again is stronger. It connects to the experiences from the early days of Destiny.
Igniting the burning hammer for the first time
Memories of the early days? For many, even today, the first steps in Bungie’s Destiny universe are considered a highlight of looter-shooters. This is partly due to the nostalgic way we view those experiences.
Back then, we had hardly anything comparable. The first exotic with incredible abilities in our hands. Unlocking a new subclass and marveling at the bombastic super. Finding and flattening a huge boss during patrols. All of this was new and exciting.
Today, as veterans, we have experienced much and seen even more. The thrill of the unknown is missing. And this is where surprise quests come into play.
Gladd has a “Niobe Labs feeling”
The sense of belonging is important: Destiny has a large and sometimes loud community. That’s how it should be for a “shared-world shooter.” While players can play many areas of Destiny 2 solo, they are almost never truly alone.
Everywhere you encounter other Guardians. In the Tower, players gather in front of the Postmaster or in patrol zones, while a teammate shoots without an invitation. In almost all activities, the game even automatically seeks your assistance.
Through clans or activities like raids, players are even more closely bonded together. Personally, I also often log in just to help a buddy or just to “shoot aliens in the face together.”
Celebrating together after a raid
However, the community comes closest together during the hardest activities. In addition to the first completion of a raid, the puzzles of the secret missions also count. The big streamers and Destiny personalities cannot solve Bungie’s incredibly difficult tasks alone.
Entire armies of helpful Guardians stand at the forefront. They tirelessly contribute to the solution in small efforts. The thread from Raidsecrets revolves around the solution of the current quest with 8500 upvotes and more than 4000 comments. The feeling of contributing to solving the seemingly impossible task fascinates many users.
The hype around the current task benefits from the fact that every Guardian can try it for themselves. The mission is accessible to all, and rewards are already waiting. Besides lore entries, you can also earn a sleek emblem, for example.
Surprise in the summer lull: In the summer of 2018, Destiny 2 was quiet. The content powder was spent. The Guardians prepared for the fact that nothing would happen until fall (Forsaken). But a surprise woke the players from their “summer sleep”.
Odd anomalies were discovered that led to a cool and extremely challenging mission. In the end, the exotic The Whisper of the Worm awaited the Guardians. But that wasn’t all. The mission had more secrets to uncover and puzzles to solve.
The new “Exploration of the Corridors of Time” could also achieve such a status. It doesn’t matter what reward awaits us at the end. The mere fact that Destiny 2 can still surprise me is worth a lot.
What do you think, can Destiny still surprise you? Do the challenging puzzles bring players closer together? Let us know in the comments.
On the Community Day in January with Piplup, the exclusive move will once again be Hydro Cannon. This will allow Empoleon to learn this powerful Water-type move in Pokémon GO.
This is the move: On every Community Day, there is also an exclusive move that a Pokémon can learn. In January 2020, during the Community Day with Piplup, it will be Empoleon that can learn the move Hydro Cannon.
Is the move worth it? Hydro Cannon is a significant improvement for Empoleon. It will make it a noticeably better Water attacker.
However, it still does not play a role among the best attackers. Kyogre, Kingler, and Swampert will still perform better. After that, however, comes Empoleon.
In terms of DPS, Empoleon ranks 4th. Source: reddit
Should you secure an Empoleon? An Empoleon with Hydro Cannon is definitely a strong Pokémon. However, if you already have a team consisting of the best attackers, you don’t necessarily need to level one up. As a strong alternative, it is certainly good.
How to get the move? For that, you have to evolve your Piplup on Community Day, which is this Sunday, between 11 AM and 4 PM. During these 5 hours, the move is available, after which it will not be. You also cannot learn the move through TMs.
What else is there on Community Day? This time, everything revolves around the Water starter Piplup. You can also catch this Pokémon as Shiny.
Shiny Piplup can be caught during Community Day
As a reward, reduced egg distance and three-hour lure modules await you.
The 5th generation has more to offer. We will show you the best missing Pokémon:
Are you looking for legendary weapons in Borderlands 3? The mini-event “Farm Fever” has everything you need to rake in loads of loot.
When does the event start? Gearbox announced on the official website that the loot event “Farm Fever” will start on Thursday, January 16th. It begins at 6:00 PM CET and will last exactly two weeks until January 30th.
In addition to an increased rate of legendary weapons, there will also be additional anointed weapons. Furthermore, rare spawns, such as Wick and Warty, will noticeably appear more often than usual.
This not only offers the opportunity to tackle the takedown with a smaller group – it should also yield rewarding loot. Normally, the takedown is only doable in a party of four and at max level. However, in the coming two weeks, the difficulty will adjust to your group size.
Get Wotan while he is beatable
Finally, a previously unknown cutscene has surfaced, which could hint at an interesting feature:
The MMO-ARPG Magic: Legends is set to be released in 2020, at least for PC. This was announced in the revised version of a press release. We have summarized all the information about the game again.
What is new? We have already reported on the plans for a beta and the release of the Magic MMO. Back then, it was mentioned that a release was scheduled for 2021. As it turns out, this information was not correct.
The developers of Magic: Legends have announced in a revised version of the press release that the PC release is set to take place in 2020. However, the old release timeframe of 2021 still applies for consoles Xbox One and PS4.
A specific release date for the MMO-ARPG has not yet been provided. However, we know that the first beta is scheduled to start in spring. You can register for it on the official website.
Action RPG in the Style of Diablo
What is Magic: Legends? The new MMO takes place in the universe of the card game series Magic: The Gathering and resembles the gameplay of Diablo.
From an isometric perspective, you then fight in hack and slash against massive hordes of monsters. The special feature is that there will be no traditional loot. Instead, you will receive cards that you can assemble into a deck before each mission.
The mixer streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is getting his own skin in Fortnite. He had requested it months ago and seemed slightly offended that he had to wait so long. But now the time has come and Ninja is putting on a good face for the bad game.
What kind of skin is this? Epic is finally ready and announced the “Icon Series” on January 15, 2020. These are skins of the “Top Creators” of Fortnite.
The first streamer to receive a skin will be Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, the most famous Fortnite streamer. It is a four-part set:
The Outfit Ninja
The Back Bling “Ninja Blades”
The Emote “Ninja Style”
And the Pickaxe “Twin Katanas”

The items are set to hit the Fortnite shop starting January 17 at 1:00 AM German time.
Epic has already announced that it will continue afterward. The next skins will go to Australian Twitch streamer Loserfruit and Spanish YouTuber “TheGrefg”.
Ninja plays Ninja.
This is Ninja’s reaction: He stated, “I am finally getting a skin” for the personal event. Ninja pointed this out a day before and presented it as a big surprise.
People should, when buying the skin, please use his content creator code. Ninja gets money from Epic for every purchase made with his creator code.
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins
This is the reaction of other streamers: In the time following the announcement, some streamer colleagues chose public channels to congratulate Ninja. A few disses are also included.
In recent weeks, however, a businessman side of Ninja was evident, stating that Epic missed a great opportunity to make money: The skin should have come back in 2018 when Ninja and Fortnite were at their peak of popularity
Have there been such skins before? With the skins, Epic follows the model of “PUBG” which also created skins in cooperation with their biggest streamers.
So far, there have not been such skins officially in Fortnite, but some skins have been “claimed” or attributed to streamers.
In November 2018, there was a skin in the game that looked like it was made for Twitch streamer “Summit1g“. At that time, Ninja did not find it funny at all that a competitor was to receive a skin before him.
Now Ninja is the first with an official skin in Fortnite, which should reconcile him.
EA Sports has just introduced the TOTW 18 (Team of the Week) in FIFA 20. Find out from us which players are included in the new Team of the Week.
This is the Team of the Week: Every week, EA releases the Team of the Week in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. This team includes 23 players who performed well in real football over the past weekend.
In addition to a spot in the TOTW, these players also receive upgraded Inform cards.
This is why the Bundesliga is not included: The Bundesliga is still on winter break, which is why Bundesliga players will not be available until TOTW 19.
They are not included in this Team of the Week.
These are the strongest cards in TOTW 18: The card with the highest overall rating this week goes to Agüero with a strong rating of 91. Moreover, the new TOTW cards of Handanovic (89), Mahrez (88), Bruno Fernandes (87), Azpilicueta (86), and Rashford (85) are decent upgrades.
The new Record-Breaker card for Agüero: In this TOTW, Sergio Agüero receives a Record-Breaker card. He deserves this because he now has the most goals as a foreign player in the Premier League (176).
And compared to his last Inform cards, the following areas have improved the most:
Speed: 82 -> 84
Passing: 79 -> 81
Physical: 75 -> 77
This is the Team of the Week 18
All cards in TOTW 18
TOTW 18 – Substitutes
When TOTW 18 will be available: The new Inform cards will be available starting today, January 15 at 7:00 PM, in FUT 20.
Bronze or Silver Inform cards can be found in the corresponding Bronze and Silver Packs.
On the Transfer Market: If you want to ensure you get a TOTW card, it’s best to use the transfer market. There, you’ll find all special cards. However, be sure to compare prices before you buy and it’s best to wait a few days.
Because usually, new Inform card prices drop after a few days.
Earn coins with the TOTW: If your FIFA coins are tight, you can also use the new Inform cards to earn some coins. Here’s what you need to consider:
Diablo 4 will not only be much darker than Diablo 3, but also significantly more brutal. In an interview, the developers revealed how much blood and violence is in the new installment.
Each of the available classes has its own means and ways to eliminate the enemies in as spectacular a manner as possible:
What people liked about Diablo 3, we still have here. There are hacking and slashing and blood that splatters everywhere […]. Depending on how you kill the monsters, their bodies will fall apart.
If you decapitate an enemy, the head falls off. If you are a sorceress with a fire spell, you can scorch their flesh from their bones. Or you can freeze them and watch them explode into a million pieces.
GamesRadar also reports that they were able to see during a gameplay session how the druid rips enemies apart as if they were just wet paper, or observe reanimated waterlogged corpses dragging their faces through the muck.
Brutal gameplay fits Diablo
Here are the impressions: GamesRadar also had the opportunity for a 20-minute hands-on with Diablo 4 during the interview. There, the testers found heaps of “blood, pus, and other bodily fluids”.
They even saw a small boy who had been cursed. He choked on his own vomit. This illustrates well how dirty Diablo 4 is going to be. The developers confirm this as well.
Executive Producer Allan Adham told the site: “There is no clean victory in Diablo. The world is not your typical clean world where the good guys always win and evil is always defeated.”
This is what we know about the release: So far, there is not much information about a beta and a release. All assumptions are based on the years between 2020 and 2022. Only a later release is expected by no one. Everything we know about the release of Diablo 4 can be found here.
While you wait for the release, there are a few ways to pass the time:
Patch 11.40 has been released in Fortnite and data miners have found numerous skins that are likely to be released in the game soon.
Which skins are we talking about? In the coming days, numerous new skins will hit the Fortnite shop. Some of them were found in the new update 11.40 and shown by data miners.
The cosmetics are not yet fully implemented in the game and will be added gradually.
All New Cosmetics from Patch 11.40
These are the skins: A total of 27 new skins or sets were found in the patch. Some skins look quite similar and only differ slightly in color. Two sets do not have proper skins yet, just placeholders as images. So it will be interesting to see what else comes.
A highlight is likely the skin “Oro”, which represents a golden skeleton.
These back blings are new: Data miners found 13 new back blings. Some are compatible with the found skins. Especially cool is the pink backpack featuring spray cans and a music box.
Look forward to these emotes and sprays: A new spray and 10 new emotes have been discovered. However, some emotes have not been fully integrated yet. So far, only placeholders have been found. Therefore, something new should be coming soon.
Here are new variants: Some skins also received new variants in patch 11.40. They shine in different colors. To obtain these skins, you also need to complete new overtime challenges.
What you need to know when purchasing: The outfits are purely cosmetic. You will not gain any advantage by purchasing the skins.
When will the skins be in the shop? Actually, the skins will be added to the shop over the next few days. Some of them may not be released at all. By the next update, most of the skins should have been in the shop.
What is the worst weapon in the game for you? Streamer Ninja has a candidate:
In Pokémon GO the 2nd wave of the 5th generation is here, bringing many new monsters. However, there are still numerous missing Pokémon from the Unova region. We show you 7 really strong monsters.
This is what the list shows: Here we focus on the best Pokémon of the 5th generation that are not yet in the game. However, we only consider non-legendary monsters here. The legendary ones are released individually, while the other Pokémon are likely to appear in a future wave.
The shown Pokémon are relevant in the PvE meta, meaning for gyms and raids. PvP is not taken into account here.
These are the 7 Pokémon you can look forward to
Place 7 – Caesurio: The Pokémon is of Steel and Dark type and has an interesting typing combination. Its stats are as follows:
Attack value: 232
Defense value: 176
HP value: 163
Maximum CP: 2844
Caesurio may not be the best attacker for any type, but it remains a solid alternative. Its typing combination makes it versatile, and its attack value is decent. However, its downside is its fragility. It is likely to be defeated quickly.
Place 6 – Washakwil: The eagle Pokémon not only looks really cool but also has solid stats. It is of Flying and Normal type and has the following values:
Attack value: 232
Defense value: 152
HP value: 225
Maximum CP: 3088
For a Flying Pokémon, Washakwil has really good stats. However, it currently learns mostly weak moves. One can hope that Niantic improves it before its release, making it a strong Flying attacker. Otherwise, it remains more of a solid alternative to monsters like Moltres or Corviknight.
Place 5 – Rabigator: The Pokémon of Dark and Ground type is one of the quirkiest Pokémon of the 5th generation. Its stats are quite solid:
Attack value: 229
Defense value: 158
HP value: 216
Maximum CP: 3046
Rabigator learns solid movesets for both Dark and Ground types and has a decent attack value. While it doesn’t reach the top attackers of its types, those who want to fight with a stylish alternative should consider using Rabigator.
Place 4 – Somnivora: The Psychic-type Pokémon is the only good defender from the 5th generation. Its stats speak for themselves:
Attack value: 183
Defense value: 166
HP value: 253
Maximum CP: 2723
Somnivora has a strong HP value, therefore it is good for gyms. Additionally, it possesses almost every attack that can pose a threat to the classic fighting attackers. As a Pokémon between slacking and Chansey in the gym, it would be a great choice.
Place 3 – Zoroark: The Dark-type Pokémon can be compared to Snivy. It has a strong attack value but can be quickly defeated:
Attack value: 250
Defense value: 127
HP value: 155
Maximum CP: 2571
As a Dark attacker, Zoroark becomes really strong but is quite fragile. Pokémon like Darkrai or Dragapult remain better, but Zoroark can be used as a strong alternative.
Place 2 – Flampivian: The Fire-type Pokémon will be a really good attacker of this type. Especially its attack value is convincing:
Attack value: 263
Defense value: 114
HP value: 233
Maximum CP: 3105
Flampivian also learns strong Fire moves and has an attack value of 263, higher than all other current Fire attackers. So we will have a strong new Pokémon here.
Place 1 – Ramoth: Even better and usable for 2 types – Ramoth will be the new top attacker of Fire and Bug type:
Attack value: 264
Defense value: 189
HP value: 198
Maximum CP: 3632
Ramoth has the best moves of Fire and Bug type and an extremely high attack value. Especially in the Bug type, Ramoth will be by far the best attacker.

Currently, there are bets running on the streaming site Twitch.TV for an autobattler from Final Fantasy Tactics. Hundreds of people are constantly in the live stream placing their bets.
What kind of stream is this? The channel of FFTBattleground is automated and designed for viewers to place bets. Your bet is placed on one of the eight teams controlled by the computer. They all compete against each other in single-elimination tournaments in Final Fantasy Tactics. With your bet, you should predict which team will emerge as the winner of the tournament.
How does it work? Each viewer receives 1000G. As a subscriber, you even start with 2000G. A currency of fake money that only works for this stream. If you lose all your money, you fall back on a cushion of 100G or 200G for subscribers.
To start a tournament, you choose a team like Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, White, Black, Brown, or Purple and then use the “!bet” command in the chat.
The bot or the stream shows you when it’s time to place bets. After the betting time ends, the different teams fight on the map until only one stands. That team then faces the winning team from the last tournament to crown the true winner. After that, everything starts all over again.
The entry is not as easy as it seems. You have to first delve into the skills and items to understand which team actually has a chance of victory.
However, the stream proves to be popular. Over 600 people are currently watching at the same time, and there is active participation in the chat. Final Fantasy Tactics seems to have not yet caught on to the possible end of the auto-chess hype. Is another big hit like TwitchPlaysPokémon on the horizon?

Why do people bet? So far, the options for spending G-currency are limited. With the fake money, you can input your name into the game, which might then be used for a unit. This includes gender, class, skills, and more. Skills are purchasable at the beginning of each round. A bot announces the skill drops, which you can take advantage of.
Those who bet successfully earn experience points as well. Every 5 levels, you automatically unlock skills.
