Those who watch Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Twitch may currently come across streams from big stars like s1mple and shroud. The problem: Neither s1mple nor shroud are actually involved.
What’s going on with Twitch? It looks like the CS:GO section on Twitch currently has a fake problem. Fraudulent streams keep popping up, pretending to belong to popular streaming figures. The issue: Apparently, many users are falling for these streams.
As Reddit user ben_is_radish pointed out, two of the most-watched Twitch channels for CS:GO were fake channels. The stars shroud and s1mple were listed there as creators with similarly sounding names and profile pictures – when in fact, neither was associated with the streams:
This is how the community reacts: The issue is viewed very critically by users. A user (via reddit) compares this situation to the Runescape section on Twitch, where similar incidents have also occurred. However, Twitch has only done so much to address the issue.
Even s1mple himself spoke out about the issue in December. During this time, the professional was banned from Twitch, which fraudsters took advantage of. Using similar account names and promoting fake in-game items, they tried to benefit from the situation and deceive viewers:

“I see fake profiles of me scamming people on Twitch every day. Isn’t it your responsibility to protect your users?”
However, it is questionable how effectively Twitch can combat the fakes, as new accounts quickly reappear as soon as the scam accounts are banned.
As a viewer, one should pay close attention to whether the streams being watched are originals by checking the “Verified” status of the streamer, especially if planning to spend any money on the stream.
The latest patch 8.3 “Visions of N’Zoth” in World of Warcraft is less than a week old, but there are already loud complaints. Many players are dissatisfied, with some even calling it the buggiest patch of all time.
What is wrong with patch 8.3? Since the release of patch 8.3 “Visions of N’Zoth”, complaints about bugs and issues have been piling up on Reddit, in the official forums, and in the game itself. Players seem to be facing new errors repeatedly.
The YouTuber BellularGaming even refers to patch 8.3 in his video description as the “buggiest patch released yet.” We have embedded his video here:

Indeed, he seems to address a sore point, as the video received 7617 upvotes within two days (against 395 downvotes as of January 19). But what is there to it?
The reward chests for the invasions (“Chest of the Black Empire”) could be dropped multiple times for some players, leading to automatic bans for exploiting the mechanic. Similar situations seem to apply to the “large chests,” which require fragments to open.
Disturbing visions can sometimes fail seemingly without reason or be interrupted by disconnects, causing the necessary vessels to disappear without reward.
The disturbing vision of Stormwind.
What is Blizzard doing about it? Some problems have already been fixed via hotfixes. The pending bans are supposed to be lifted. However, the vessels of the disturbing visions cannot be refunded according to statements.
The missing gold is said to have not been lost according to a GM, as everything is recorded accurately. However, when and how a refund will occur is still unknown.
Players are disappointed and complaining
This is bothering the community: Many players are quite annoyed by patch 8.3 at the moment. Bugs are not the only focus of the complaints:
reddit user Papier4 writes: “I find it crazy how little there is to do in patch 8.3. Mechagon had more content than the entire [patch] 8.3”
reddit user Armadros finds the new daily tasks generally annoying. On high population servers, they are hardly manageable.
User Puzzlin in the official forum expresses harsher words: “This is terrible, and every employee at Blizzard should be ashamed of the product they have released.” Much of his criticism, however, has been rebutted by the community.
reddit user Gankeros states: “Patch 8.3 is a flight simulator – not enough rare enemies or enemies at all. How could new content be released in such poor condition?”
The auction house bug also summons negative reactions. The Twitch streamer derBehla, who primarily plays WoW for the economy and to earn gold, told us in a conversation: “Not finding any gold from sales is the worst for me. It’s just not fun that way.”
Behla farms gold with multiboxing – but cannot do it properly at the moment.
Some players wrap their criticism in somewhat humorous teasing. One player mentioned in a public chat that the bugs of patch 8.3 were intentional – after all, N’Zoth wants to drive us insane.
This is still popular: Despite the critical voices, there are also many players who are satisfied with the content or demand something positive from patch 8.3. Especially the new allied race of Vulpera delights many fans, who react with memes and pictures:

I also quite like the patch so far. I also really liked Mechagon with 8.2 – I appreciate a bit of grind as a way to achieve progress step by step at my own pace. A relatively linear path with few dependencies.
Returning to old areas is an absolute highlight for me.
This could be the cause: Following the many problems, discussions have also arisen about where all the bugs actually originate. Bellular is sure in his video: It’s due to the lack of employees.
No longer with Blizzard: Co-founder Mike Morhaime.
According to Bellular, Blizzard simply lacks the manpower to quality-check patches like 8.3. Game Director Ion Hazzikostas still has deadlines he must meet. The result is half-baked patches that even the employees probably can’t be happy with.
It looked like this in the past: Patch 8.3 is not the first patch with problems, and certainly not the one with the biggest problems. In the history of WoW, there have already been bugs that have wiped entire cities or otherwise broken the game. A list of the 5 funniest bugs of this kind can be found here.
Nevertheless, many players are currently keeping a critical eye on Blizzard. Battle for Azeroth apparently did not meet expectations entirely, the takeover by Activision is troubling to many hardcore fans, and the recent China shitstorm contributes to players being more critical.
In principle, however, it may also be irrelevant whether or not it is actually the worst patch of all time. Once this opinion has taken root, it will be hard to fight it. What Blizzard will do about it remains to be seen. In the meantime, you might want to get a better picture of patch 8.3:
In Fortnite Chapter 2, you should collect letters from the loading screens. We will show you where to find them.
What’s new? At the start of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, new challenges have been added where you need to collect letters. Each week there is a new letter to collect.
In this article, we will show you an overview of all the letters and how to find them. We will regularly update this article for you as Epic unlocks more letters.
How many letters are there? Now all letters are available. You can already collect F, O, R, T, N, I, T, and E. The word “Fortnite” is spelled out here.
What is it good for? Collecting the letters will help you unlock the secret legendary skin “Sorana” for this season.
Requirement: You can only collect the letters if you own the Battle Pass of Season 11 (Chapter 2, Season 1).
The best route to collect all letters
Which route should you take? If you want to collect all hidden letters in a match, you can take a route that leads you to all the letters.
However, you need to have unlocked all challenges for the letters so that you can collect all 8 on the way. The Team Rumble mode is suitable for this because:
You can respawn if you are eliminated on the way
You can build up to glide further
This is the shortest route to collect all letters in a match:
How to collect the hidden letters – Locations
We will show you where the letters are located so you can collect them. There is always a loading screen with hidden hints.
You can collect the letters throughout the season. It does not necessarily have to be completed in the active week.

In Fortnite, streamers are making their entrance. Several content creators are currently finding their way into the game – including Twitch streamer Pokimane.
Now, like Fortnite star Ninja before her, Pokimane will be immortalized in the game. However, the streamer will not receive a skin like Ninja; instead, she will be featured as an emote in the game. This is based on a TikTok dance from the streamer and was officially announced by her on Twitter:

Will there also be a skin? The Pokimane fans in the comments are excited about the emote, which seems to pack eight different emotes into a single dance. However, there are also some who find the dance a bit over the top or cringeworthy. Especially in connection with other skins, it might look quite silly.
But the question about a skin for the streamer also often arises. After all, Ninja received one, which even has a hidden feature.
The Icon Series brings Fortnite stars into the game
She explained that there won’t be a skin for now – but maybe in the future. For now, it would just be about the dance. In Fortnite, the “Icon Series” has been announced, in which more “top creators” are to be immortalized in the game. Who will be next?
How will other streamers likely react to the new emote? The reactions to the Ninja skin were quite positive:
In Destiny 2, Bungie finally fixed the exotic bow Wish-ender in a patch on Thursday. However, clever players immediately found a new way to deal 12 times the damage with the bow.
the perk “Broadband Head” is supposed to deal double damage to enemies upon entry and exit
due to the bug, the perk was dealing four to five times the damage to targets
The bug was active in Destiny 2 for about a month, then it was supposed to be fixed on last Tuesday with a patch, but the patch was delayed until Thursday. The hotfix 7.2.0.2 was the first new update in Destiny 2 for the year 2020.
Players wished the bow would remain so buggy
Here was the problem: Many players liked the bug. Wish-ender became truly playable and useful only through the bug. Bow fans saw it critically that the “bug” has now been patched.
However, the community manager said: The bow will be repaired, but we will pass on the feedback that bows in Destiny 2 should deal more damage.

Here is the new exploit: Immediately after the hotfix, players found a new way to use the bow to deal excessive damage. Now Wish-ender even deals up to 12 times or 16 times damage, instead of the previous 4 times.
However, the bug is relatively complicated. The bug is position-dependent; allegedly, emotes also play a role.
The new bug is therefore more powerful but also harder to use. Players are already joking that Wish-ender would be the worthy successor to Telesto: The weapon has earned a reputation as “the thing that regularly breaks Destiny.”
The bug is already shown in some YouTube videos, and large US sites (via polygon) are also reporting on it. One can assume that Bungie is aware of the bug. If they saw a need for action, that the bug overly distorts Destiny 2, Bungie would likely disable the exotic, just like they recently did with the exotic armor piece Winterlist.
The legal dispute between the company behind Star Citizen, Cloud Imperium Games, and the German engine developer Crytek is intensifying. CIG is now demanding $500,000 in court, claiming they have been harassed with a frivolous lawsuit. CIG has harsh words for Crytek.
Crytek filed a lawsuit against Star Citizen at the end of 2017. They argue that Cloud Imperium Games only acquired the rights to develop a game using the Cryengine, namely Star Citizen. However, they are developing 2 with it: Star Citizen and the singleplayer module Squadron 42. That would not be acceptable.
Star Citizen denies this. Squadron 42 would even be launched with the same launcher as Star Citizen; furthermore, they are now using the Amazon Lumberyard Engine, so the lawsuit is baseless.
However, Crytek has announced that they want to resume the legal dispute as soon as Squadron 42 is released. Then the lawsuit would be “ripe.”
Take their keys away
This is what Star Citizen says now: They respond to their court filing with biting remarks. They want, after Crytek’s withdrawal, to have some of their own legal costs reimbursed by Crytek.
It is stated that CIG has incurred legal fees of over $900,000 so far. From that, they want to receive at least $500,000 from Crytek.
Crytek’s lawsuit has been sharply criticized as being frivolous from the start. Crytek is only seeking attention.
At one point, it says:
Crytek should not be allowed to simply take a ride on CIG’s loading window, to accelerate through the window, to drift donuts for years, to just reverse, turn around, and then maybe crash back into CIG.
Crytek deserves to have their keys taken away forever, so that CIG can responsibly manage their business without interference from Crytek and their lawyers.
From CIG’s filing to the court
Crytek now has until February 7 to respond to CIG’s reply.
A clear statement from Cloud Imperium Games. Recently, they have been using strong words for critics:
Blueprints are a popular feature in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The weapons you can assemble with them also come with some advantages. But they are not worth it – at least according to our author Benedict.
What are blueprints? Blueprints are pre-made setups for weapons that provide them with specific attachments and perks. They also give the weapons unique skins that they otherwise could not obtain.
You unlock blueprints by completing challenges or playing through the Season 1 Battle Pass. Often, blueprints are given as rewards after a series of challenges, as a reward for reaching a Battle Pass level, or even available for purchase in shop bundles.
This legendary blueprint is available late in the Battle Pass.
Should I use blueprints? Generally, I advise against it. I would recommend everyone to engage with the gunsmith feature and learn how attachments work.
This way, you can ensure that you do everything possible to make your weapon the best you can have in hand. While this is the longer, more uncomfortable path, it is worth it. Nonetheless, blueprints do have advantages.
The Benefits of Blueprints
What blueprints do: Essentially, blueprints do nothing that you couldn’t already do with the weapon – they provide it with attachments in a specific configuration.
In a way, they are similar to the secret weapons, which also require a specific combination of mods. However, they have two fundamental advantages:
You do not need the required weapon level for the attachments – blueprints can be used regardless of the weapon level.
The blueprints come with special skins that cannot otherwise be applied to the weapon.
When are blueprints worth it? Basically, blueprints are only worth it if you want a specific skin. They are also useful if you are new to the game or leveling a weapon and don’t want to run around without modifications.
The latter is not so bad. You get to know the weapon and can better assess how you want to improve it when you know how it works “without anything”. Therefore, I fervently advise: Build the weapons yourself!
Building Weapons Yourself
and Understanding Them Properly
Why should I build weapons myself? On one hand, the gunsmith feature of Modern Warfare is just excellent. The variety of mods and the ability to build all kinds of weapons is simply unmatched. You can even assemble crazy weapons that pose real challenges.
Try something new more often!
For me personally, this feature is even the highlight of the game, as it fosters creativity and at the same time helps to understand the weapons. A learning game for adults, so to speak, even though many players have other reasons for staying in CoD.
Moreover, you can build better weapons with the gunsmith than those offered by the blueprints.
That’s why building it yourself is better: You get a better feel for the weapons when you level them up without attachments. Additionally, you unlock new attachments in sequence. This also gives you a better understanding of the effects they have.
Attachments are often the same for multiple weapons. This means that if you learn the behavior of one attachment, you can better estimate what it does to a weapon you are not familiar with. This means you automatically delve deeper into the gunsmith feature and the modifications.
The most important thing is: You are not dependent on pre-made setups, but know how to create your own perfect weapon. Want to build an ultimate run & gun build? Just do it. Want to build the secret MP5K and further modify it yourself? No one is stopping you.
How to Build Perfect Weapons – Without a Blueprint
Basic Tips for Building Weapons: If you want to start crafting on your own, you should keep a few things in mind. The tips listed here are mainly aimed at beginners and intermediates of the gunsmith, but even professionals can still learn something:
Don’t necessarily build balanced weapons. Instead, have different loadouts with weapons for a specific purpose (for a specific mode) and rotate them through.
Still make sure that important values don’t drop too low – mobility can be important, and you should always keep attachments for better aiming in mind.
Focus on performance rather than looks. It doesn’t matter how a weapon looks as long as it is deadly.
Familiarize yourself with all attachments and their functions. For example, do you absolutely know what a suppressor actually does?
What exactly does a suppressor do?
What else should I pay attention to? It is unlikely that you will create a perfect setup right away. Always test your creations and adjust them.
This can be an endless process where you only get closer to perfection without ever reaching it. But here, even “good enough” is sufficient.
It is important: You build the weapon for yourself, not for someone else. Even if you try my builds here from MeinMMO, keep in mind that they are only suggestions. Adjust them so you can play well with them.
Blueprint weapons are not inherently bad. They just aren’t the be-all and end-all that you can get from a weapon. And they limit you from trying setups that are really powerful but that you might not have thought of:
The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia) announces Update 25 and the first DLC for 2020 “Harrowstorm”. In addition to new content, performance is the focus: ESO is set to reduce its size by about 30 GB. This should make a noticeable difference, but will only happen after a redownload of the client.
This is the announcement: On Thursday, the major presentation of “The Dark Heart of Skyrim” took place, the 2020 season of The Elder Scrolls Online. At the center of the year will be the new expansion “Greymoor”, which will not arrive until summer.
Even in February and March, ESO will be expanded. Likely, the content will be available for PC by the end of February, and for PS4 and Xbox One, as usual, two weeks later, in March.
There will be:
the dungeon expansion Harrowstorm, the first DLC of 2020
and the important Update 25
Players will have to wait a bit longer for Greymoor.
ESO reduces almost 30 GB
What is this update about? The ESO Update 25 will continue the long-promised performance improvements of ESO that fans have been waiting for so long. In summer 2019, a roadmap was released that Zenimax updated monthly to keep players informed.
Update 25 is now the big, important step:
When the update arrives, players on all platforms will have to download The Elder Scrolls Online completely again
However, the new version will be almost 30 GB smaller than the current one, significantly reducing disk space usage
The new version is expected to run faster, load faster, the frame rates will be “a little better”, ESO will run smoother, and the patches will be smaller in the future than before
All of this was announced by Creative Director Rich Lambert at the major reveal event for “The Dark Heart of Skyrim” (via YouTube starting from minute 51).
Performance is currently considered one of the biggest problems of The Elder Scrolls Online, which is among the 5 most popular MMORPGs in Germany.
Rich Lambert (right) delivered the good news.
Additionally, Lead PvP Designer, Brian Wheeler, announced that with Update 25, the “Combat Team” will make improvements to the combat system of The Elder Scrolls Online, especially regarding blocking and triggering item effects, item procs (via forums.elderscrolls).
What new content is coming? The DLC “Harrowstorm” will bring two dungeons:
Icebringer – players will investigate the mysterious gramstorms that sweep across the Sea of Ghosts. They will encounter the cruel Icebringer Circle, which is preparing an unholy ritual
Unholy Tomb – in this dungeon, heroes will find an ancient burial site unearthed by grave robbers beneath the sands of Bangkorai.
The game calls itself an MMO, inspired by Pokémon.
Not only the little monsters have been adopted from Pokémon, but also many other features: starter monsters, battles, type effectiveness, monster evolution, and breeding are all already known from the Pokémon games.
There are even starter Temtems
This makes Temtem different from Pokémon: Even though many elements have been adopted from Pokémon, it is primarily the MMO elements that make Temtem so unique.
Everything takes place in an online world. There you can fight and trade with other players. Additionally, there are tournaments and a cooperative campaign that you can engage in.
Another central aspect of Temtem is housing. You can furnish and decorate your own house according to your preferences. You can also style your character as you wish. There are dozens of different customization options.

This is how the alpha of Temtem was received: First players were able to try out the MMO in an alpha and dive into the colorful world. The feedback is mostly positive and many players are impressed by the MMO.
The Temtems do not seem like cheap copies of Pokémon but have been developed uniquely. Additionally, the customization options for the character and the game story are praised. There are even voices claiming that Temtem was already better in alpha than Pokémon in general.

Here are numerous insights into the alpha of Temtem
This speaks for Temtem: The interest in the Pokémon MMO is huge. This is also evident on Kickstarter, where the developers wanted to raise $70,000, but in the end, nearly $600,000 were collected.
Moreover, the desire for a real Pokémon MMO is growing louder. The Pokémon Company responded somewhat with Pokémon Sword and Shield by introducing multiplayer raids, but fans still seem to be unsatisfied.
Many people see these raids as a highlight in Sword and Shield and are asking for more MMO content. Temtem can provide this and therefore could fill a huge market gap.
The raids in Sword and Shield were well received as MMO elements.
This speaks against Temtem: Hardcore Pokémon fans may still look critically at Temtem. After all, they are not real Pokémon that you can fight with, but rather “just” Temtems.
This could be comparable to the discussion “Digimon versus Pokémon”. Many Pokémon players back then couldn’t relate to the Digimons; they were simply a bad alternative.
The size of the development studio could also become a problem. Crema relies heavily on donations from the community. Currently, they have been provided with a lot of financial resources because of this. If these funds are exhausted, it remains to be seen whether they will have enough of their own resources or receive large donations again.
Update 01/20: A few negative headlines were generated by the developers during the stress tests last weekend. There, players were able to test the servers before the Early Access. Multiple hotfixes had to be rolled out to rectify issues. If such problems arise at release as well, it could spoil the mood for many players.

One of many posts about the errors during the stress test.
Could Temtem be a great success? The chances are good that Temtem will become really big. On reddit, there are already over 10,000 users following the Temtem channel, and on Twitter, there are even over 40,000 followers. The mood on the portals is good. Many users are talking about how Temtem finally brings a worthy competitor to Pokémon to the market.
The massive Kickstarter campaign speaks for itself. The successful alpha is also a good sign.
In the end, it will become clear whether the small Spanish development studio Crema can meet the great demand and whether long-time Pokémon fans can set aside their game and want to get to know new monsters.

Sometimes Fortnite players end up in the same match as famous streamers. One such player, who was matched with Twitch star Pokimane, was so excited that he had trouble breathing.
What happened? The well-known Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys often streams her duo matches with random players in Fortnite, resulting in funny or bizarre encounters.
In one of her recent streams, she was, as often, matched with a young Fortnite player. When he realized he was playing in a duo with a Twitch star, the boy suddenly began to breathe heavily from the excitement.
What the…! What the…! I don’t have a weapon. Is that really you? I’m in a match with Pokimane and she is reviving me right now! […] I’ve never been in a match with a YouTuber.
He couldn’t believe he was matched with Pokimane and totally freaked out. You can hear it very clearly in the video that the streamer posted on her Twitter:
ok ngl this was one of the funniest freakouts i’ve ever seen in duo fill..
How did Pokimane react? The behavior of the boy gave the streamer quite a fright. She repeatedly asked if he was okay:
Buddy, should I call an ambulance? Are you okay? Oh God, I don’t think he’s just playing! Hello? Do you have asthma? […]
It is unclear whether the boy actually has asthma problems and is hyperventilating because of that, but he calmed down after some time more or less.
After that, Pokimane suggested that they play a few more rounds together, which they did. Aside from the initial scare, the streamer found the behavior of the 12-year-old boy quite adorable.
On her YouTube channel, the streamer released a longer compilation of her matches with the boy, which you can watch here:
In the time trial Elysian Island II in GTA 5 Online, you can earn 101,000 GTA dollars in less than 2 minutes. In this guide, we will show you how to win the race.
What kind of time trial is this? Every Thursday, a new event week starts in GTA Online, and the public time trials on the map change. The public time trials are the modes that you can freely access on the map. You start the race and must drive from point A to point B within a set time in the online session. If you are on time, there is a big reward.
The race Elysian Island II: This time trial takes place in the southern part of the map and ends at the pier. You have 1 minute and 50 seconds to cover the route from start to finish. For this, you will receive 101,000 GTA dollars.
Winning Elysian Island II – Time Trial Guide
Where does it start? The race starts in the south of the map, in the harbor area next to the airport. Some of you will also find your coke lab there.
The route: Before starting the race, set the pier as a marker on the map. Just as you see it in the image above. Now follow the automatically generated GPS route on your minimap.
At certain points along the route, you can cut the corners sharply by driving straight over the grass or through oncoming traffic. Here are a few examples:

The exotic machine gun Xenophage was considered by the community as possibly the worst exotic of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Bungie has since buffed the exotic weapon, but many are still skeptical. Rightly so? Or is the insect MG now worth the exotic slot?
What this weapon is about: The Xenophage, which caused a stir before its release as a so-called bug MG, is an exotic machine gun with solar damage for the power slot.
Its perk, Pyrotoxin Rounds, may sound rather unimpressive, but it fires powerful explosive ammunition. However, the MG plays quite differently than its counterparts.
It has very little ammunition and fires very slowly – essentially like a linear fusion rifle or a type of railgun, just without charge delay and without damage drop-off.
When the first players finally held the Xenophage after a lengthy quest, disappointment quickly set in. The weapon proved to be far too weak, had too little ammunition in the eyes of many Guardians, and could not land critical hits. In short: The weapon was considered non-competitive.
Many Guardians wondered whether the weapon should even come into the game in this form and whether the Xenophage was rather bugged. Quickly, the new exotic MG gained the reputation of the worst Shadowkeep exotic.
How does this exotic MG play after the buff? Is the additional damage alone enough to make the Xenophage competitive or even viable? Did Bungie save the exotic?
Well, the additional PvE damage is certainly noticeable since the buff, but the Xenophage will not become a DPS monster and can only make stronger impacts situationally compared to before. Especially against majors, this weapon is now very effective – thanks to the lack of damage drop-off and excellent target acquisition over all distances.
Xenophage with ornament
But when it comes to maximum DPS (for example, against raid bosses), there are many far better alternatives for the heavy and especially for the exotic slot – such as the sniper rifle Izanagi’s Burden or a combination of the Grenade Launcher Anarchy and a sniper.
In terms of damage output, the Xenophage can now best be compared to sniper rifles. However, these usually require special ammunition and often leave the heavy slot open for alternatives like a grenade launcher, which the Xenophage generally cannot exceed in terms of damage. Even with snipers from the heavy slot, this MG cannot truly compete.
In short: With the Xenophage, your power and exotic slot is blocked without any really notable advantages, which significantly limits the effective combinations with other powerful weapons.
Moreover, the Xenophage still suffers from its perhaps biggest problem – too little ammunition:
It has too little ammunition to effectively fight smaller enemies or larger groups of enemies. You’ll run out of ammo faster than you can say that.
It has too little ammunition for sufficient damage output in raids (against raid bosses) and falls short against many alternatives.
Is the Xenophage now worthy of the exotic slot? It depends. Situationally, the Xenophage can indeed impress and show its strength – especially in fights against majors and smaller bosses.
It has excellent target acquisition, and against moving or smaller targets, you’ll hit much more easily than with many grenade launchers or sniper rifles. Moreover, it does not matter where you hit your enemies – even a grazing shot on the little toe is enough since the weapon cannot land critical hits. Almost every major falls after two shots. For smaller bosses, it has just the right amount of ammunition. They also pose no problem.
Even in activities like the Sundial – especially with active heavy weight modifier – the Xenophage hits majors or champions like a real field howitzer. Therefore, it is a worthwhile alternative. In the first two phases of the Shadowkeep raid “Garden of Salvation”, for example, it is now also often used against Cyclops and Angels.
In all other respects, this relatively young weapon exotic struggles. Because both in fighting adds and enemy groups, as well as against the most challenging bosses, there are far better alternatives or possible combinations.
In conclusion, the Xenophage now has a better standing than before after its buff. However, it is still far from being a top weapon or an absolute must-have and can only shine very limitedly.

The Secret World is overlooked for the second time in 2017
What was the outcome? That the reboot would likely fail was already apparent after the reactions to the first teaser trailer. It received only 800 likes. The launch trailer performed slightly better – but it didn’t spark great enthusiasm either.
The reboot left the global gaming community largely indifferent.

Ultimately, “Secret World Legends” was barely developed further by Funcom after its release. A content expansion with South Africa was released in 2018, which veterans had long awaited, but since then there has been little news about the game.
While Funcom still listed regular updates in their financial reports in 2018, “The Secret World Legends” did not appear prominently in the 3 financial reports of 2019 anymore. It only receives a small column in presentations, noting that “events” are taking place.

Ultimately, a sad fate for an MMORPG that achieved outstanding quality in the way it tells its stories.
The MMORPG The Secret World (PC) launched in 2012 under unfortunate circumstances, and in 2017 it was supposed to be revived as “Secret World Legends.” However, in 2020, our author Schuhmann concludes disillusionedly: It was in vain.
What is The Secret World? The Secret World is probably the best unsuccessful MMORPG of the last decade. We called it on MeinMMO in 2014 “the best single-player MMO you never played”.
The special thing about the game is the story and the way stories are told.
The Secret World takes seemingly well-known horror stories, spices them up with depth and humor, and tells them in an unconventional way.
Legends and horror stories are true in this world, but the game uses this “raw material” creatively. It repeatedly breaks with well-known narrative patterns.
The Secret World can frighten players with an atmospheric classic horror story about damned souls, but it can also make them smile with a business-savvy mummy.
The quests are a similarly daring mix: The Secret World sometimes requires players to go into the browser and search for specific clues to progress in a mission.
The Secret World begins with a zombie invasion and escalates.
Why did the MMORPG perform so poorly? The release of “The Secret World” in July 2012 was already under a bad star:
The developer Funcom had upset many hardcore MMORPG fans with the bumpy release of “Age of Conan” (2008). The Conan MMORPG had raised high expectations but ultimately disappointed.
A financial scandal surrounded the release of The Secret World: The then CEO of Funcom allegedly had a premonition that Secret World would flop and therefore sold his shares at a high price before the flop became publicly known and the shares fell. This brought him trouble and an indictment for insider trading.
Additionally, The Secret World was released between Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3, competing against heavyweight titles.
The Secret World also had some peculiarities that made entry rough:
The combat system was perceived as clunky.
Players had to wrap their heads around the skill system.
Somehow, The Secret World failed to generate a “positive buzz,” unlike Guild Wars 2, which achieved this for years. On Metacritic, it stood at 74 out of 100. This was not a recommendation to check out the MMORPG, especially since Guild Wars 2 looked so much better with 90%.
When the flood of new Western MMORPGs began to wane around 2015, some discovered the “hidden gem” The Secret World for themselves. However, the content supply of the MMORPG had already become challenging by then, leaving little incentive to continue playing after completing the story.
Moreover, after the atmospheric beginner zone, The Secret World had a spike in difficulty that forced players to play their characters effectively if they didn’t want to die constantly. Those who just wanted to enjoy the story and play casually quickly hit a wall: The Secret World required a closer engagement with the mechanics.
In 2017, Funcom wanted to make a fresh start with The Secret World Legends.
For a while, it looked like the commercial flop of The Secret World and a strange LEGO game would spell the end for the studio. Certainly, the financial crunch did not bode well for the continued development of The Secret World.
From the reactions of the players, it can be seen that the remaining players would rather welcome story updates, new missions, and zones.

This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
Ubisoft is suing the owners of a site that sells DDoS services. This site has regularly attacked the servers of Rainbow Six: Siege.
What kind of site is this? For a long time, Ubisoft’s shooter experienced significant problems with DDoS attacks, which severely slowed their servers and led to connection issues and crashes. This was primarily due to the website SNG.ONE.
The owners of this site offered anyone who was willing to pay the opportunity to “test the protection of their service against DDoS attacks.” It seemed like this was, for example, a way for developers to run stress tests on their servers.
The site seemed to create the impression that their service was only used for testing purposes.
In reality, users exploited this site to burden the servers of Rainbow Six: Siege and other games with DDoS attacks.
The alleged owners of the site did not make a secret of it and publicly mocked Ubisoft on social media. They sent mocking tweets with meme images to the official support account of Ubisoft.
The tweet has since been deleted, but a screenshot of it can still be found in the indictment.
The costs for the subscription: The monthly subscription for the DDoS service was $30, and users could even purchase a lifetime subscription for just $300.
The paying customers could not only terrorize Rainbow Six: Siege. Games like FIFA 20, Fortnite, and CoD: Modern Warfare 4 were also on the list of targets.
What did Ubisoft do? The publisher announced last year a whole series of measures to combat the DDoS attacks. One of them was the cease-and-desist order against the alleged owners of the site, which was filed in court in California on January 16.
In it, Ubisoft states that the alleged owners of the website were fully aware of the damage they were causing. This was also because they mocked the company publicly on Twitter.
Additionally, they repeatedly published false reports on the DDoS website that the site had been taken over by Ubisoft or Microsoft. This was admitted by the defendants.
The publisher therefore demands in its lawsuit that the website be taken offline and that damages be paid. However, the amount has not been specified.
Did it help? Ubisoft’s measures seem to have been successful. Since the announcement of the lawsuit in September 2019, the number of DDoS attacks against the servers of Rainbow Six: Siege has reportedly decreased by a staggering 93% according to the company’s own statement.
Ubisoft is now also working with Microsoft on a permanent solution to better protect against future DDoS attacks.
In Destiny 2 disturbing things are happening right now. While restless Guardians are solving a mythical puzzle, dataminers have found a eulogy from Saint-14. He delivers it about us, the brave Guardian.
This is what Saint-14 says: Thank you for coming. We have gathered here today to celebrate the life of my mentor, my inspiration. They called him Crota’s End. The terror of the Hive. King Slayer. The Young Wolf. The hero of the Red War. The man who avenged Cayde-6. He had hundreds of titles that I cannot remember.
And he died doing what he did best, defending the Last City of humanity. Ages ago he saved my life. And he inspired me to save myself. I am glad he did that. Because, may the Traveler help us, he is gone. And there is no one left to save us. On the day we met, I decided to follow his example. I do that to this day.
The presentation makes it clear that the Guardian is dead or at least believed to be dead. However, we can assume that Destiny 2 will not simply end. Saint-14 also seems to expect that the Guardian will somehow return from the dead, therefore he has left him a weapon at his grave.
The story of Saint-14 is relatively complicated, involving time travel. It could be that this is an alternate timeline or that Bungie is planning another plot twist that we cannot foresee right now.
Could one of these masterpieces be making a comeback?
In any case, Bungie seems to have come up with more story and twists for Season 9 than we initially suspected. The complex puzzle indicates that as well.
In Hunter’s Arena: Legends combines MOBA, action RPG, and battle royale. The new 4K trailer is meant to set the mood for the beta, for which you can sign up on Steam.
What kind of game is this? 60 players brawl in this mix of battle royale, MOBA and ARPG to see which player ends up victorious. But how does Hunter’s Arena Legends mix these elements?
As you would expect from MMORPGs, you level up your character by hunting monsters, fighting through dungeons and completing difficult boss fights. Collect items or face off against other players to gain strength.
You have classes like ranged fighters and mid-range combat classes available to you. The battles with them are easy to learn at first, but become increasingly complex at higher levels. Mastering combos, parrying, and countering is essential. Even psychological warfare is said to play a role.
And all of this is supposed to ensure that you are the last survivor out of 60 players.
The combination in the trailer then reminds one of a kind of For Honor.

What features does the game offer? The character classes are inspired by MOBAs and therefore offer many different combat styles. Each class has its own strengths and weaknesses and can be improved with skills.
Decide for yourself whether you play solo or team up with others. To defeat some tough bosses, you must form a group. It’s up to you whether you ambush them sneakily or “really” cooperate.
How can you try it out? For players in Europe, North America, and Korea, registration for a chance to join the closed beta of Hunter’s Arena: Legends will open at the end of January. This is the next step after an alpha test already took place in October 2019.
In Fortnite, Chapter 2 has started and there are new Season Challenges. In one of the Alter Ego Challenges, you have to climb the highest mountain on the map. We will show you how to do that.
What kind of challenge is this? In one of the Alter Ego Challenges, you must climb the highest mountain while equipped with a specific skin.
In this guide, we will show you which outfit you need to equip and where the highest mountain in Chapter 2 is located.
Requirement: You must first complete 3 mission packages (New World, Open Waters, and Forged in Slurp Juice) and equip the Climber skin when you climb the highest mountain.
Climb the Highest Mountain in Fortnite Chapter 2
Where do you need to search? You can find the highest point, or rather the highest mountain, in the snowy mountains on the map. It is located south of Lazy Lake/Retail Row and east of Misty Meadows.
Location on the map:
Location at the highest mountain: You can recognize the highest point of the mountain by an orange flag that has been placed there. You need to go there to complete the challenge.
If you can’t land on the mountain right at the beginning of the match, that’s no problem. The mountain can be easily climbed by following the red flags that guide you up.
These flags you need to follow:
Once you have climbed the highest mountain with the Climber, the task will be considered completed and you will unlock another style variant: “Fall Danger” for this skin.

Patch 8.3 of World of Warcraft has been live for a few days now. But is it worth diving back into the MMORPG after a break in 2020? Or should one rather wait for Shadowlands?
For several days now, the next big update has been live in World of Warcraft, and active players are engaging with the content of Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth:
But is the patch only for active players who have kept up?
Or is it worth checking back into Azeroth in 2020 if one has taken a break from WoW for several months and wants to rejoin?
What does Patch 8.3 have to offer?
The update “Visions of N’Zoth” comes with a wealth of content that, at first glance, may appear to many players as “recycling”. Instead of two completely new zones, there is a revision of Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. These areas are the heart of the patch, where most of the action takes place. There are small events, rare enemies, or a chest to discover at every corner. This is fun and can keep one engaged for a while.
In addition, there is a solid story questline that culminates in the Horrific Visions. These visions are designed either as solo content or group activities. These small dungeons must be completed many times to collect all the items from them and to continuously upgrade the legendary cloak.
However, access to the visions is heavily restricted and must be purchased. The necessary resources for this can be obtained in other activities: such as the assaults on Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
All content from WoW Patch 8.3 is interconnected and related. Those who do not like individual aspects of it may have a problem.
Confusion about quest progression and the right entry point
I am convinced that for newcomers who have not played Battle for Azeroth, the confusion over the multitude of quests is not so dramatic. For them, there are simply countless different quests to pursue, and they should all be completed at least once. This is the advantage of approaching new (or slightly aged) content with a fresh perspective.
This advantage is not immediately available to returners who want to quickly catch up to the top. I had some acquaintances who were confused in Boralus last Wednesday and asked, “Okay, which quest should I take, there are probably 10 quests here.” or “What requirements must I meet to play the new content now?”
WoW does not provide answers to such questions; one must obtain them from external sources or ask other players for help. This makes things confusing and unclear. It creates an annoying entry barrier that leaves some players frustrated when they suddenly find themselves in Naz’jatar or somehow ended up with Tyrande at Darkshore. A clear, structured approach would help WoW here. A way to immediately see: “These are the new quests; this is the storyline you should follow.”
Because that is exactly what is missing, returning becomes more difficult when one has already missed one or two patches.
Another issue with Patch 8.3 is the dependency on old content. The essence system for the Heart of Azeroth is significantly tied to old content. Sooner or later, returners will look at their Heart of Azeroth and realize that of the 20 essences, only 4 or 5 have been unlocked. However, unlocking most of the other essences is only possible in content that is now considered outdated. Hardly anyone wants to spend weeks in Nazjatar or on the Isle of Mechagon to unlock the essences. This is another barrier that complicates entry.
Whoever wants all essences must play a lot of old content – and sometimes for a long time.
However, anyone who has no objection to some grind and sees it as a given that some things need to be caught up, should not be discouraged by it. Most can be caught up effectively with “half an hour a day”.
Catch-Up – How quickly can one catch up?
In general, Patch 8.3 offers catch-up mechanics for many things with which one can catch up to other players. It basically rains gear with item level 410, and the Heart of Azeroth is quickly in the 60 or 70 range, so one hardly lags behind other players.
Only the essences, which make up an important part of player power in WoW: Battle for Azeroth, are not significantly easier to obtain. Some requirements have been slightly relaxed, but this only reduces the necessary grind and farming by a small percentage.
Conclusion: Is it worth returning with Patch 8.3?
Overall, this question can be answered with a “Yes” because the story and playable content are engaging and interesting. However, one should not forget the big “But”, because: The content of Battle for Azeroth can be overwhelming and confusing. There are so many quests that it is difficult for returners to keep track.
For whom is returning to Patch 8.3 worthwhile? A return is worthwhile for all fans of the story and for players who have played a large part of the content from Patch 8.2 and can now seamlessly join in.
Complete newcomers to Battle for Azeroth should also give the update a chance but allow enough time for the “old content”, as it still holds significant relevance and is needed for many mechanics (essences and flying).
Those who only return to prepare Twinks for Shadowlands can do so as well. After all, both Vulpera and Mechagnomes are now available as well as Death Knights for all allied races.
Who should steer clear of Patch 8.3? Those who did not enjoy the content of Patch 8.2 or who want to catch up to their fellow players quickly in all aspects should avoid this patch. Patch 8.3 offers improved aspects of many things that characterized Battle for Azeroth – if one has not warmed up to the core mechanics, they will not do so in this update either.
One of the 8-Ball Challenges in Fortnite: Battle Royale requires you: “Move 100 meters while dancing.” A player has now found the fastest solution to the task, and it’s simply genius.
What kind of task is this? In Fortnite: Battle Royale, the 8-Ball Challenges were recently activated as overtime tasks. You now have additional opportunities to earn experience points and cosmetic items.
For one task, you need to move 100 meters while dancing. This will certainly cause some players to scratch their heads, as one usually stands still while dancing.
How was it solved? The player Wizzypetes demonstrated a brilliant idea in a video on Reddit on how he could solve the task.
He simply went to one of the many zip lines on the Fortnite map, glided along and danced during it. This way, he easily covers 100 meters while dancing. This solution doesn’t require much skill; it’s just clever.

What do the players say about this? The video receives a lot of praise on Reddit. The clip reaches over 4,000 upvotes. In the comments, you can read that this is a clever way to quickly and easily complete the task.
How else can the task be solved? There are various ways to complete the challenge. If you’re with a teammate, just hop into their speedboat and dance while your friend drives. Here you’ll find boats on the Fortnite map.
Others use the Naruto emote “Full Tilt” to solve the task.
The developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare confirm that a fix for a problem is on the way, causing collisions with teammates.
What is this problem? A few weeks ago, an update activated team collision in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This means that in multiplayer, you bounce off allied players when you actually want to pass through them.
The problematic part is that this change was not even mentioned in the patch notes, but rather found its way into the game silently.
Since then, players like NZickinja (Reddit) have been complaining: “Sometimes I get pushed out of my cover and shot because allies run into me.”
Thus, players lose their safe spot in cover due to this interference.
The issue with team collision has been receiving a lot of attention for weeks – Source: Reddit
In other scenarios, allies block the path so that you cannot properly run out of cover, getting stuck and thus becoming an easy target for opponents. As seen in this example from Based_oj. He also wishes that the collision with allies should be removed from the game.

When will the solution arrive? Recently, Infinity Ward introduced its players to their Trello board. This is a platform where players and developers can view current issues and the status of their solutions.
As Reddit user Loz8 shows, the status of the player collision problem has recently changed. It now states that the issue will be fixed in a future update.
However, a specific date for when the solution will be implemented in the game is still pending. It is also unclear how exactly the issue will be resolved.
Additionally, Season 1 of CoD MW has been extended. It is quite possible that the fix will then appear in the next major update that will be deployed after the end of the season.
