The sandbox game Avorion has celebrated its release on Steam, and we want to join in. Therefore, we’re giving away 20 Steam keys for the full version of the game. Join in!
What is Avorion? The title is a sandbox game in space, developed by the German studio Boxelware from Erlangen.
On Steam, the game currently enjoys very good ratings and is rated “positive” by 91% of the 4945 reviews (as of March 19, 10:38 AM).
The focus of Avorion lies not only on exploration and gathering resources but also on the creative construction of your own ships and even entire fleets. You start as a small drone and work your way through thousands of different sectors of the galaxy.
The closer you get to the center, the rarer and more valuable the resources you can mine will be. Accordingly, you can build better ships from them. The center was closed off 200 years ago, but supposedly, the legendary mineral Avorion is located right there.
So the sandbox game offers you:
A procedurally generated galaxy consisting of a million different sectors that you can explore freely.
You can mine minerals there and use them to build and improve ships or stations. Avorion gives you a lot of freedom in design.
You also have the freedom to choose your play style. You can wage wars in the game and raid others or rather accumulate wealth through trade. It’s up to you.
You can play Avorion alone, in local co-op, or in multiplayer. You can watch the gameplay in the launch trailer:

The addon for Skyforge is delayed
What other impacts does the COVID-19 pandemic have on the game? The developers explain that due to the transition to working from home, they had to postpone the release of the major anniversary addon. It is now scheduled to be released on April 8 for PC and on April 9 for PS4 and Xbox.
Are you excited about the gift from the Skyforge developers? Does it help you cope with the longer wait for the new addon?

The Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has been complaining about stream snipers for years. Now he has come up with an exciting concept that is only supposed to apply to streamers. Sounds like this could be exploited.
What’s new? Streamers Ninja and SypherPK are losing more often in Fortnite against players they suspect are stream snipers. Together, the pros developed an idea to tackle these stream snipers and improve the gaming experience for streamers.
What are stream snipers? These are players who specifically seek out the matches of pros. In the stream, they find out when popular streamers are signing up for matches and try to get into the same game by signing up at the same time. In the stream itself, they can see where the streamers are located on the map. The snipers then try to ambush the streamers and, in most cases, shoot them. They have the advantage of knowing where the players are, what weapons they have, and possibly even where they intend to go next. As a measure against stream snipers, Fortnite has already anonymized player names.
Banning stream snipers for 30 days, but only for streamers
This is what happened: After streamers Ninja and SypherPK fell victim to suspected stream snipers multiple times, they came up with this idea:
“I have the perfect solution,” Sypher explains. “You get taken out by someone you think is a stream sniper. And instead of reporting them, you click ‘avoid this player’. This should prevent that player from joining your matches for 30 days.”
He explained this desired feature further. If that person then appears again as a suspected stream sniper after the 30 days, you can press the button again and have peace from that player for another 30 days.

This is what Ninja says: Ninja adds to Sypher’s proposal, saying “But it should only be for streamers. If it were accessible to everyone, players could just press it every time they get taken out by another player who is just really good.”
Another problem with this mechanic would be that streamers can’t always prove that their opponent is a stream sniper. This system could also be exploited by popular streamers to get rid of better players unfairly.
Whether Fortnite will adopt this idea or offer better solutions for this problem in the future remains to be seen.

It has been a while since we heard anything from the exciting MMORPG A:IR – Ascent: Infinite Realm. And there is a reason for that, as the game is getting a new name.
What is A:IR? The MMORPG aims to stand out particularly with air battles featuring airships and large air-ground combat compared to regular genre representatives. While you also explore a vast world and delve into dungeons where you fight monsters, the highlight is the battles. In these, airships advance to a base that must then be captured on foot.
In the dungeons of A:IR, you will encounter many enemies. However, the focus is on air battles.
A:IR becomes Elion
When was the MMORPG supposed to be released? Actually, the beta was supposed to start here in 2018, but even in 2019 it did not launch. There were constant delays. Eventually, it went quiet around the MMORPG.
What has happened now? As the South Korean website MTN reports, A:IR is getting a new name. The game is now set to be released under the title Elion.
The reason for this is the negative feedback from the betas in the Asian region. According to this feedback, interest in the game was quite low.
That is why the MMORPG was close to being canceled: As MTN reports, publisher Kakao Games even considered halting the MMORPG’s development due to the testers’ feedback.
However, around 40 million dollars in development costs have been invested in the game, which is why further internal tests were conducted to improve gameplay. These tests led to Kakao Games deciding to release the game after all, but now using the name Elion.
The MMORPG A:IR is set to be renamed to Elion.
Release is planned for 2020
Has the game changed? It is currently unknown whether there have been significant adjustments and changes to the game itself. The developers apparently still believe in the approach with air battles; only the execution fell short. We will have to wait and see what specific changes have been made to the game when Elion is officially presented.
When is the MMORPG now coming? Testing is expected to begin soon in Asia. A precise date has not yet been announced, but there are talks that testing will start in a few weeks.
The release is planned for the fourth quarter of 2020. An English version is also in the works, which should launch shortly after the South Korean release.
Activision explained in a blog post what to expect in the upcoming update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. Included are a new map for multiplayer and weapons for the Battle Royale.
What a revelation! The makers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone keep us updated with “community updates” regularly. The latest post on the Activision blog now revealed what to expect in the next update.
Included are 4 new weapons for Warzone and the last Season 2 map for Modern Warfare.
Update from March 25 with new release time – Content for Warzone and MP
When does the update come? Although we are used to CoD delivering new content every Tuesday around 7 PM in our timezone, this update apparently won’t be available until Wednesday morning (March 25) at 7 AM. The blog post indicates March 24 – 11 PM PT.
What’s new in Warzone? For the successful Battle Royale of Call of Duty, a few new weapons are coming. Although we are familiar with these firearms from multiplayer, after the update they will also be found all over Warzone:
725 – 2-shot shotgun with massive power
MK2 Carbine – rifle with decent range
EBR-14 – semi-automatic rifle with moderate range and high rate of fire
.50 GS – the Desert Eagle from CoD MW
The shotgun 725 was considered extremely strong at the release of Modern Warfare. Even after its adjustment, it still performs well at short ranges.
The weapons can be found as standard variants without attachments, but they also receive special versions in different rarities, which already come with certain attachments. None of these weapons is considered the best Warzone guns, but especially the 725 clears everything in close quarters.
The playlist in Warzone likely won’t change this week. The solo mode remains active and we will probably have to wait a bit longer for the “duo” or “squad” modes.
What’s coming for the regular multiplayer? Season 2 is slowly entering its final phase, and now the last announced map is coming. “Khandor Hideout” is a medium-sized 6vs6 map that features a large warehouse in the center and areas around it for all combat distances.
A new operator bundle is also available. “Talon” brings cool face paint and a lot of hair gel to the fight, and can be assisted by his loyal dog “Indiana” during his finishing move.
New map and new operator for regular multiplayer.
What else is going on with CoD? Since the release of Warzone on March 10, the regular multiplayer has fallen into the background for some players, and even for some big streamers, Warzone is currently taking center stage.
Check out some Warzone highlights from the last few weeks:
In Fortnite a new update was released today, March 24, 2020. What has changed? Leaks from data miners show what to expect in the coming weeks.
What’s in the new Patch 12.21? No patch notes have been released and Epic provided no information on what has changed.
However, data miners have shared leaks that reveal what is likely to come in the next weeks.
New skin with challenges?
What was found? Data miner Lucas7yoshi found challenges related to a skin in the Fortnite data.
This is about the Oro skin, which was leaked some time ago but is not yet available in the game.
The Oro skin, which is likely coming soon
The skin is expected to come into the game soon with challenges. Through the missions, it is claimed that players can unlock a pickaxe and a weapon skin.
These are the challenges leaked for the gold skin:

Why are patch notes so important? Patch notes are an important part of a game. Players want to see exactly what has changed in the game or if the bug that has been bothering them has finally been fixed.
How does the community respond to the lack of patch notes? It’s no secret that players are not thrilled with this situation.
In Pokémon GO the ball shortage is finally being addressed! Niantic has introduced numerous changes to make it easier for you to obtain balls from home.
This is the issue: Due to the Corona crisis, people are currently advised to stay at home. Niantic has therefore adjusted their game and made it easier to play from home. However, those who do this diligently will quickly run out of balls.
The changes are: There are several steps that Niantic has introduced:
Every week there is a box for 1 Poké Coin in the shop. This box should always contain different items, but this week there are 100 Poké Balls
You can open 30 gifts each day to obtain more balls
You can carry 20 gifts at a time so you can also provide other players with balls
Gifts include more Poké Balls than usual
Gifts sometimes include over 10 balls. Source: reddit
Is there finally enough balls? 100 Poké Balls are available for free this week. In addition, there are balls from gifts. Those who use them sparingly and do not catch every Pokémon should be able to manage with this.
Especially the gifts are likely to be the biggest ball supplier. There are gifts that even include over 10 Poké Balls. If one opens 30 of those, one can easily get to 300 balls per day. Even “worse” gifts still yield 5 balls. You will quickly obtain the coveted resource.
What other adjustments are there? Niantic also provides you with other bonuses. For the first catch of the day, you receive triple XP and Stardust. Therefore, you should try to catch at least one Pokémon each day so that you receive heaps of XP and Stardust on the 7th consecutive day.
Additionally, there have been some adjustments made to PvP battles. You can now challenge Good Friends and Great Friends to a battle without having to be right next to each other. Previously, this was only possible with Ultra Friends.
Keep in mind that there is currently a risk of infecting yourself and others with the coronavirus. The Federal Centre for Health Education recommends staying at home as much as possible, keeping your distance from others, and avoiding gatherings. Niantic has taken various measures to allow you toplay Pokémon GO from home.

But if the urge to explore the world suddenly takes you, you can now do so digitally, and that is in Minecraft. A new mod creates the entire Earth in Minecraft – and not scaled down, but in realistic size with a 1:1 implementation.
How does it work? The mod “Terra 1 to 1” uses various public data as a basis, such as maps from Google. It imports different maps and then creates a corresponding map from them. Using coordinates, you can jump to any known place in the world and see how the mod has implemented it in the game.
All of this is implemented in real size. One block in Minecraft corresponds to one meter in the real world.
The mod also ensures that the normal limits of Minecraft do not count. Normally, a world can only be 256 blocks high, but with the mod “Terra 1 to 1,” this limitation is lifted. This allows you to climb Mount Everest, which is over 8800 meters (and thus blocks) high.
What that looks like is shown in this video:

What kind of errors are there? Even though the modification is already extremely impressive, there are a whole series of errors and bugs. For instance, the mod is unable to represent cities and buildings correctly – these are completely missing. This includes particularly large buildings, such as pyramids in Egypt. They are not represented as buildings, but are simply colored mountains made of colorful clay.
There are also problems in the sea. At coastlines and in the ocean, there are often some “chunks” that are not calculated correctly, resulting in strange islands in the sea that shouldn’t be there.
If you still want to try out the mod yourself, you can download “Terra 1 to 1” here on Curse. But be careful: The mod is extremely resource-hungry and could put some PCs to their knees.
YouTuber wants to recreate entire cities: Despite all these errors, the mod is extremely impressive and not only creates a very cool survival map but also enables a whole range of other projects. The YouTuber PippenFTS uploaded the video of the mod. He dreams of someday having recreated all the major cities on this world map of Minecraft.
Whether that will become a reality remains to be seen – but it would definitely be a cool project.
N’Zoth is currently the hardest boss in World of Warcraft. However, a group of 10 only tank druids defeated him – and that in heroic mode.
In World of Warcraft, players can complete many achievements, each crazier than the last. Some of these lead to challenging raids and require specific playstyles. Mastering the current raid content not just with one class, but also with a single specialization is on a whole new level. But that’s exactly what 10 druid players have accomplished by defeating N’Zoth in heroic mode – all without healers or proper DPS.
What happened there? Actually, “N’Zoth the Corruptor” is the current final boss of the Ny’alotha raid and is quite a tough nut to crack. On “normal”, the fight is already not simple, but on heroic, it’s a whole new level of difficulty. Normally, you need a well-balanced group of tanks, healers, and DPS. But a group of druids didn’t let that stop them and killed N’Zoth on heroic. They earned the achievement “Ahead of the Curve: N’Zoth the Corruptor”, along with a special mount.

How do they receive healing? The druids get their healing primarily passively through various talents and some abilities. Because although all druids are bears and thus tanks, they can heal a large part of the damage themselves. Combined with a taunt rotation, where all players take turns tanking, there is enough time to heal the damage done.
Why do they deal so much damage? Tanks deal relatively solid damage by nature in World of Warcraft. The Corruption system has only strengthened this advantage. Since there are some corruption effects that cause damage based on the character’s maximum health, druids in bear form particularly benefit. Tank druids are known for their extremely high health points – something that helps them massively with the corruption effects.
Bears are top tanks – with extremely high health points.
Although it got tight towards the end and some of the druids had to voluntarily throw themselves into death to avoid being taken over by N’Zoth. However, it was still enough for victory and thus the achievement.
What do you think of this achievement? A cool, impressive thing or clear proof that bears are just overpowered?
A player has independently eliminated the entire opposing team in Rainbow Six: Siege within seconds and without assistance. He fired only a single shot. Tens of thousands of fans are amazed.
The Reddit user Fru1t_Salad posted a clip where he wipes out the entire opposing team in under 30 seconds after the round starts, in the now-removed “Golden Gun” event mode.
He charges immediately after the round begins and heads towards the opponents. There he swiftly overpowers the first three operators with a knife that kills instantly. He informs his team that he will now eliminate all opponents.
The fourth opposing player, who still does not react, also falls victim to his melee attack, and he takes out the last enemy outside on the roof with his pistol.

How did he do it? Fru1t_Salad uses the operator Amaru, who can use a grappling hook to pull herself through openings like windows. This allows her to reach the second floor directly, where the opponents are located.
The special mode “Golden Gun” immediately shows the attackers where the objective of the round is located. There is no preparation. Normally, the teams have a few seconds before the round to scout as attackers with drones and to fortify their position as defenders.
Moreover, in “Golden Gun”, every shot from the golden Desert Eagle (the only available weapon besides the knife, equipment, and gadgets) kills instantly, no matter where you hit. However, you must reload after every shot. This also allows him to take down the last player immediately.
Tens of thousands of viewers for the perfect round
The thread on Reddit has already received over 15,000 upvotes and 270 comments (March 23). Many users, however, discuss whether knives should be allowed in this mode and how strong Amaru is.
The operator Amaru is one of the new additions from year 4.
Top shooter despite its age
The fact that so many players are excited about the clip is also due to the fact that Rainbow Six: Siege is still one of the best shooters, even though it is nearing five years old. Rainbow draws in as many players as few other games, and accordingly, the fanbase is huge:
A rumor circulated on Reddit that Pearl Abyss, the company behind Black Desert and new MMOs like Crimson Desert and Plan 8, is said to be having problems. There are talks of mass layoffs. We spoke directly with the studio.
What are these rumors? On the MMORPG Reddit, User opty2001 started a thread where he published excerpts from the platform BLIND. This is an app where game developers communicate anonymously.
According to the screenshot, some employees who worked on Pearl Abyss’s new MMOs have been laid off. One user even claims that the work on new projects has been temporarily halted.
Therefore, we reached out directly to Pearl Abyss.
This screenshot allegedly proves the crisis at Pearl Abyss
What do the developers say? In a response from Rick van Beem, the PR Director of Pearl Abyss, we were assured that work on all MMOs is proceeding as planned.
While there have been individual layoffs, they cannot be referred to as mass layoffs. However, he revealed to us that the exact opposite is supposed to be the case.
More employees to get the MMOs out faster
What did Pearl Abyss tell us? Regarding the layoffs, we were informed that these were isolated cases that are not connected:
There were no mass layoffs. A few people were recently laid off, others left voluntarily. But they were all individual cases that are not connected.
Rick van Beem
The work on the new games is also not supposed to be interrupted. We were told that currently, despite the Corona crisis, all projects are progressing well and as planned:
All projects, new content for Black Desert, Shadow Arena, DokeV, Crimson Desert, and Plan 8, are currently proceeding exactly as planned.
We are making good progress and hope to be able to release new details about the new games soon.
Rick van Beem
What is happening instead at Pearl Abyss? According to Beem, the opposite of mass layoffs is currently the case at Pearl Abyss.
They are currently in a “hiring spree” and are looking for many developers to improve and finish the new and old projects faster.
Crimson Desert is a new MMORPG currently being developed by Pearl Abyss. It is said to have a dark story
When will the new games be released? Currently, only one of the titles is already in a playable state: Shadow Arena. A first beta ran on Steam. A release is scheduled for the first half of 2020.
Those who search their PokéDex in Pokémon GO will always find gaps. A total of 59 monsters are still missing to complete all 5 generations. What Pokémon are these and what makes them special?
This is what we will discuss: We will show you all Pokémon that are currently not available in the game, even though their generation has already been released.
While there are still some missing monsters in the 5th generation, the 3rd and 4th generations also have a few gaps. However, these generations feature quite special Pokémon.
Kecleon – The missing Pokémon from Gen 3
What is missing in Gen 3? The only Pokémon from the Hoenn region that is not yet in the game is called Kecleon. It is number 352 in the PokéDex and is a gap for everyone in Pokémon GO.
Kecleon is the only Pokémon from Gen 3 that is still missing
What makes Kecleon so special? This Pokémon can be somewhat compared to Ditto. Unlike Ditto, it can adapt to its environment. It simply changes its body color and “merges” with its surroundings.
Why is Kecleon not yet in the game? The Pokémon could pose challenges to Niantic similar to those faced with Ditto or type-changing Pokémon. How do you implement it into the game and, more importantly, how does its ability to camouflage affect gameplay?
It seems Niantic is still working on this, so we have to wait a bit longer for Kecleon.
These 5 Pokémon from Gen 4 are still missing
Rotom: This Pokémon can transform into various electrical devices. In addition to its base form, there are 5 other forms like a microwave or a lawnmower Rotom.
Last September, there were heated discussions about a Rotom release. Niantic posted mysterious tweets indicating this. However, nothing came of it, and thus we are still waiting for a release.
Rotom might possibly appear this year at Halloween. After all, it is a Ghost-type Pokémon, and in the last two years, there was a special research involving Kryppuk. This could very well switch to Rotom in 2020.
All forms of Rotom at a glance
Phione and Manaphy: These are two mysterious Pokémon from the 4th generation. They are somewhat related, as a Manaphy can breed with Ditto, resulting in an egg that contains Phione.
Thus, the two mysterious Pokémon are associated with breeding, which currently does not exist in Pokémon GO. Perhaps Niantic is still waiting for a release of both Pokémon.
Otherwise, mysterious Pokémon do not appear in the usual way. Until now, they have only come through special researches or raids. The two Pokémon have never appeared. Now we are already in the 5th generation, which suggests that something bigger is planned with both monsters.
Shaymin: This is also a mysterious Pokémon, which is not quite normal. It actually has two forms: the Land Form and the Sky Form. It is therefore similar to Deoxys.
Niantic may be planning something here, allowing a permanent transformation between forms, which cannot be done with Deoxys. Otherwise, Shaymin would also be a good candidate for an upcoming special research.
Arceus: This mysterious Pokémon is considered the creator of the Pokémon universe and thus holds a divine status. It also has a very special ability, as it can assume any type in the game.
Implementation issues could arise here as well. Essentially, 18 different forms of Arceus would need to be added, which could be quite difficult. It seems Niantic is still contemplating this.
These 53 Pokémon from the 5th generation are still missing
The list of missing Pokémon from the Unova region is still quite long. Therefore, we will list all “normal” Pokémon in bullet points. They have no special features and could therefore come in one of the next waves into the game.
Other Pokémon with existing information or those that are legendary or mysterious will be explained in more detail afterwards.
All normal Pokémon that are still missing: These are exactly 38 Pokémon:
Somniam and Somnivora
Strawickl, Folikon and Matrifol
Waumboll and Elfun
Lilminip and Dressella
Ganovil, Rokkaiman and Rabigator
Zorua and Zoroark
Piccolente and Swaroness
Gelatini, Gelatroppo and Gelatwino
Emolga
Quabble and Apoquallyp
Zapplardin, Zapplalek and Zapplarang
Pygraulon and Megalon
Flunschlik
Lin-Fu and Wie-Shu
Shardrago
Gladiantri and Caesurio
Bisafank
Skallyk and Grypheldis
Ignivor and Ramoth
All these Pokémon could appear in upcoming events or be collected as a new wave in the game. We are still in the release phase of this generation, which is why the missing Pokémon are not particularly noteworthy.
Sesokitz and Kronjuwild: These two Pokémon have 4 forms each. Each season gives the two Pokémon a different color. It could therefore very well be that the monsters will be released at a fitting season. They have already been seen on the loading screen of Pokémon GO.
Victini: This mysterious Pokémon is the first monster in the Unova Dex. Recently, Niantic introduced Genesect, the first mysterious Pokémon from Gen 5 into the game. Victini could very well follow in the next special research.
Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem: The Tao Trio, as the 3 legendary Pokémon are called, are the only legendaries still missing. Recently we received the announcement that Demeteros, the last missing Pokémon from the “Forces of Nature” trio, will appear at the end of March.
When Demeteros disappears at the end of April, the way will be clear for one of the 3 missing Pokémon. It is quite possible that these 3 monsters will be introduced during the summer. After all, they are the best legendaries from Gen 5.
The Tao Trio is still missing in Pokémon GO
Keldeo: This is a mysterious Pokémon that belongs to the Knights of Order. All other Pokémon from this group, namely Terrakium, Viridium, and Kobalium, are already in the game. Keldeo is still missing because it is mysterious and not legendary.
A special research event is conceivable that could take place at a later time.
Meloetta: We might have to wait a little longer for this monster, as it is a similar case to Shaymin from Gen 4. It has two forms, the Dance Form and the Singing Form. Here, Niantic needs to come up with a way to implement these forms into the game.
Be aware that there is currently a risk of infecting yourself and others with the coronavirus. The Federal Center for Health Education recommends staying home as much as possible, maintaining distance from others, and avoiding gatherings. Niantic has implemented various measures so that you can play Pokémon GO from home as well.

The next Hearthstone expansion “Shards of the Shattered World” brings back familiar faces. Many bosses from WoW become their own powerful cards. We show you the Hearthstone version of Akama, Al’ar, the Horror from the Deep, and other cult bosses.
The card reveal season for Hearthstone has just started again. Every few hours, some new cards for the expansion “Shards of the Shattered World” are revealed. The previous announcements are impressive. Especially the protection against duplicates when opening packs is genius.
We show you some of the coolest cards that are based on bosses from World of Warcraft. Included are not only the Phoenix God Al’ar but also “The Horror from the Deep” and the Astromancer Solarian, who made their mark in “The Burning Crusade”.
Rogues are excited about the minion Akama. He was a boss in the Black Temple and for a long time a loyal servant of Illidan. Akama costs only 3 mana and has stats of 3/4 and Stealth. As a deathrattle effect, the minion “Akama Prime” is shuffled into the deck. If the Rogue then draws this card, they can look forward to a really powerful character. Because Akama Prime has stats of 6/5 and is permanently in Stealth for 6 mana. Getting rid of him will be quite difficult for the opponent.
A neutral minion is the Phoenix God Al’ar, whom players of WoW surely still remember from the raid “The Eye” as Kael’thas’ Phoenix. Al’ar costs 5 mana and has stats of 7/3. If he dies, he summons “The Ashes of Al’ar,” a new minion with 0/3. If the ashes survive until the player’s next turn, they resurrect Al’ar with full health.
Shamans get the boss “The Horror from the Deep”. This beast comes from the Serpent Shrine raid and costs 6 mana for stats of 6/3, but its Battlecry makes up for that. It deals 3 damage to a target enemy minion. If that targeted minion dies, the effect is repeated on one of the neighboring minions. This continues until a minion survives the attack or all enemy minions are dead.
Mages receive Astromancer Solarian, who was also a boss in the Eye. For 2 mana, she has stats of 3/2 and grants the player +1 spell damage. As a deathrattle, “Solarian Prime” is shuffled into the deck. Solarian Prime has become a powerful demon and brings stats of 7/7 for 7 mana to the board. She still grants +1 spell damage, but also has a devastating Battlecry:
Casts 5 random Mage spells (preferentially targeting enemy characters). If they are damaging spells, they will definitely land on the other side of the battlefield.
Demon Hunters can soon wield the legendary minion Kayn Sunfury. He brings stats of 3/5 onto the board for 4 mana and also has Charge. However, his special effect is that friendly attacks ignore Taunt. As long as Kayn is on the board, the Demon Hunter can directly attack the opposing hero or other minions past Taunt minions.
Hunters receive the Beastmaster Leoroxx, who will likely cause panic in the eyes of most opponents. For 8 mana, Leoroxx only has stats of 5/5, but his Battlecry lets 3 beasts from the Hunter’s hand enter the battlefield directly. This allows the Hunter to build a pretty thick army for a relatively low cost.
Another legendary minion for Hunters is the beast Zixor the Elite Predator. For 3 mana, he has stats of 2/4 and Charge. As a deathrattle, he shuffles Zixor Prime into the deck. Zixor Prime is significantly upgraded and costs a hefty 8 mana. However, he has stats of 4/4 and Frenzy, as well as the Battlecry: Summon 3 copies of this minion. That’s stats of 16/16 with Frenzy for just 8 mana.
Lady Liadrin is the legendary minion for Paladins and will especially become a staple in buff decks. For 7 mana, the blood elf has stats of only 4/6, but her Battlecry makes up for that: Obtain a copy of each spell you have cast on friendly characters in this game.
As a little bonus, we have the legendary Mage spell “Summoning,” which will save many a Mage from a tight situation. For 1 mana, this legendary spell has the effect of filling the player’s hand completely with random Mage spells. However, these cards are discarded at the end of the turn, so one must make the best of them in that round.
What do you think of these legendary cards? Is there a favorite among them for you? Or are you rather averse?
MeinMMO author Benedict Grothaus had the chance to preview the gameplay of the new survival MMO Last Oasis before its release and asked the developers some questions. The answers show great confidence in the new game.
What is Last Oasis? Last Oasis is an upcoming survival game that can roughly be described as “Wild Wild West meets ARK: Survival Evolved“. The premise is that the Earth has stopped rotating and the sun is now relentlessly burning everything.
The surviving humans, therefore, fight for survival in oases – the last patches on Earth where resources still exist. Since they are always fleeing from the sun, they have built various wooden runners to transport cargo, people, and even their own huts and buildings.
Because resources are desperately scarce, there is a constant struggle for them. Last Oasis relies on an intense PvP aspect. We have asked ourselves – and the developers – is this the right choice?
This is how PvP works in Last Oasis: In principle, every player in Last Oasis can attack and kill any other player to take their collected resources. However, the game employs some special mechanics:
Clans can occupy oases and take them under their protection – they act like the police, keeping brawlers in check.
The combat system is heavily focused on melee combat and relies on skill – blocks and attacks must connect. Thus, a battle is not decided by the first hit but requires finesse.
Clans benefit when players gather resources in their oases and receive a share – they have something to gain from protecting players.
New World sets a new focus – even housing now plays a significant role.
This is what the developers say: The developers, shortly after New World’s decision, mocked it with a cheeky tweet here. In light of this, we asked: Are you worried because you are still focusing on PvP?
In response to the question, Project Lead Florian Hofreither said:
Not at all. We don’t really want to make a game for the widest possible audience. We want to make a good game. There have been many good PvP games, but we see fewer and fewer of them. Our community likes that we remain true to ourselves and give our all. […]
It’s simply an immersive experience. If someone can’t attack me, that’s boring. But if he could attack me and doesn’t do it for certain reasons, because he might start a war, those are much better stories.
Our goal is PvP. Because that’s what we are good at, and that’s what we can balance well. And our community likes it precisely for that reason, so we stick with it.
Where does the experience come from? The developers of Last Oasis previously worked on one of the largest MMO mods for Mount&Blade: Warband, the cRPG mod. From this work, they draw their expertise.
Mount&Blade is known for its combat systems and strategic battles. According to the developers, the mod was for a long time the largest and most popular multiplayer mod.
They stated in response to a question from another journalist who watched the presentation with us that Mount&Blade and the work on the mod had the greatest influence on the development of Last Oasis.
PvP also takes place on the runners in Last Oasis. An exclusive screenshot for MeinMMO.
Is there also PvE?
Although the focus is on PvP, Last Oasis also offers some PvE content that we have already seen. There are NPC enemies, a primate species called Rupu. You can attack and loot their camps, for example, to obtain specific resources as adventurers or collectors.
According to the developers, you also have the option to simply become a trader. Invest early in the market and slowly build an empire to achieve greatness solely through trade – if that’s what you want.
In the tougher areas of the oases, huge boss enemies await, which you should only fight in a group with strong runners. The bosses are similar to monsters from Monster Hunter and reward you with rare and valuable resources.
Below, we have embedded gameplay that was shown to us, showcasing the battle against NPCs and the boss monster Okkam:

This is how team play works: In Last Oasis, players can form clans and occupy oases as such. The oases are hexagonal fields, and each oasis is its own server for up to 100 players.
The clans also take care of the politics in Last Oasis. They determine which oasis is safe for new players or PvE fans, where one can be declared fair game, or with which other clans they can forge large alliances.
This is roughly comparable to the corporations and alliances in EVE Online, which the developers have also indicated as a source of inspiration. It’s just not supposed to feel too much like “spreadsheets in space”.
Can it be done solo? Since players continually ask whether and which MMOs they could also play solo, that was part of our questions. Will there be huge clans fighting against each other? Small groups of looters? Or even solo or duo players sneaking around and robbing others? The Project Lead’s answer:
We’re already seeing with our testers that all of that is happening. We have people who simply walk around alone and sneak around or try a diplomatic approach. Many of them just talk to the clan leaders and become untouchables in their territories.
Then we have smaller groups that specialize in hunting or piracy. And we have huge wars. That’s what I like the most.
The clan I played with had a base, and we heard over voice chat that our friends were being attacked. […] We came to the rescue, but three other clans joined in as well. It was a mess, but it was hilarious.
When and where can I learn more?
Last Oasis releases on March 26 for PC on Steam. When asked if the game will also be released for the next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, the developers said, “We are aware of it, but at the moment, a smooth release is more important.”
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne receives its 3rd free title update today, on March 23rd, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. With the patch, we can expect brutal variants of two beasts that are already quite aggressive. We will tell you what we know about the two new monsters.
Update March 23, 2020: The patch is here! Starting today, you can be beaten up by the Furious Brachydios and the Angry Rajang on PS4 and Xbox One.
When will the update be released? According to Roadmap for Iceborne in 2020, two variants of already known monsters will be implemented soon. For console players (PS4, Xbox One), the fun arrives in March. PC players will have to wait until April. From April 2020, all platforms will receive updates simultaneously.
Now Capcom has released a trailer that reveals the two new variants of the update.
Two Really Unpleasant Characters
The third free title update of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is just around the corner. The array of Iceborne monsters will be expanded by the Angry Rajang (Furious Rajang) and the Furious Brachydios (Raging Brachydios).
Who is the Angry Rajang (Furious Rajang)? The Angry Rajang is a variant of the Rajang. He is already known from Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. As the name suggests, the Angry Rajang is constantly in rage mode. He can even exceed this with a super rage mode.
The Furious Brachydios from the trailer
Who is the Furious Brachydios (Raging Brachydios)? The Furious Brachydios is a variant of the Brachydios. He was first introduced in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. His body is largely covered in explosive slime. The Furious Brachydios distributes more of this slime than his normal version. Additionally, the substance on his body can explode when you hit it.
The Twitch streamer Jake “GernaderJake” Straus (27) is currently the trendiest PvP streamer for Destiny 2. On the first weekend when the Trials of Osiris returned, he played “Flawless” 55 times and there could have been a few more.
Who is he? GernaderJake has been on Twitch since 2008 and is a passionate Destiny streamer. His peak was at the end of 2016 with the expansion Rise of Iron. At that time, many of the well-known Twitch streamers had already left Destiny and the streamer was able to consistently reach over 1600 viewers.
In the years and months that followed, however, the viewership fell back to 400 to 500 viewers. Destiny 2 was not particularly strong on Twitch in recent years. But the Trials of Osiris seem to be changing that now. Because in the last 14 days, the streamer averaged 2260 viewers – more than ever before.
This was his performance: With the Trials of Osiris, the Twitch streamer really got off to a strong start on the first weekend:
He also played a lot for this. On Friday, he was live for 18 hours on Twitch, on Saturday again for 18 hours, and on Sunday for over 12 hours.
The streamer was one of the first to be welcomed by Saint-14 at the Lighthouse.
Trials are almost cheat-free – even on PC
This is what he says: In an interview with Forbes, GernaderJake praises the Trials. Many players had been concerned that cheaters would be rampant on PC, but Bungie has done a great job here. He encountered a cheater in less than 1 in 100 matches, says Jake.
The Twitch streamer prefers to play the Nightstalker, he loves to confuse opponents and use the smoke abilities of the class. Especially the invisibility of the Nightstalker is a strong perk.
However, Jake also has a few issues with the Trials: The loot is the part he likes the least. Besides a Sparrow, there’s nothing that makes “Flawless” playing worth it. He is concerned that people will quickly lose interest in the Trials and the PvP mode needs many players to remain attractive.
“Fantastic for me, fantastic for my Twitch channel”
Why are Trials so important to him? GernaderJake says Trials have been fantastic for him and his Twitch channel since Destiny 1. He loves playing with many people in the community and bringing them to the Lighthouse. It is just fun. It is that simple. It feels very rewarding to bring people to the Lighthouse. He is also building his community this way, which ultimately helps support himself and his wife.
What’s behind this: The ecosystem of “Trials of Osiris” is extremely important for Twitch streamers. Strong PvP players bring people from their community to the Lighthouse by essentially carrying them through. This is interesting for viewers since essentially “one player” plays against opposing teams with two passengers – and those who are carried are often grateful, donate something, subscribe, and remain loyal to the channel.
With the return of the Trials of Osiris, GernaderJake is already set as one of the big winners:
Are you looking for really strong dribblers in FIFA 20? Then we present to you seven tricky players who are unstoppable.
Why are dribblers important? Dribblers are players who can make a difference when you face many defenders. When the opponent cannot be countered with clever passes and crosses, often only a skillful turn or a clever run can help.
Strong dribblers allow you to get past dense defenses – if you master a trick or two. The following seven players are hardly stoppable in the right hands.
Diego Maradona
How strong is Maradona: The Prime Icon Moments card of Diego Maradona is the strongest dribbler card in the game – along with Pelé. No one can get past the legendary Argentine.
The card is ridiculously expensive at a price of six million. His Mid Icon card from the current Icon Swaps is a more viable option since you can earn it. And with a 95 dribbling value, at an overall rating of 95, this card does not need to hide either.
Maradona is also available in Icon Swaps
Neymar
How strong is Neymar: Neymar should be known to every football fan. And no matter how you feel about the controversial player – there is no denying that the Brazilian knows how to handle the ball.
Neymar also offers a lot of special cards, but even his standard card already belongs to the best dribblers in the game. He masters every trick and, with his 95 dribbling score, causes a lot of trouble in the opponent’s penalty area.
Martin Ødegaard
How strong is Ødegaard: The Norwegian was one of this year’s Future Stars. The special thing is: You could upgrade his base card to an overall rating of 87 by completing challenges.
The card is extremely strong in dribbling and also offers good overall values. Only the weak foot is unfortunately a bit too tame with 3 stars.
Jadon Sancho
How strong is Sancho: Jadon Sancho has been a fantastic dribbler in FIFA 20 from the start. His numerous special cards have kept him relevant in FUT. Recently, this also included his new POTM card.
This is quite strong with a score of 89, but in defense, POTM Sancho is a bit behind. However, he is hardly stoppable in dribbling. Especially since the skill values are combined with very high speed. Sancho on the wing allows you to launch quick attacks through dribbling that are hard to stop.
Marcelo
How strong is Marcelo: Even in defense, there are sometimes players with a 5-star skill rating. Marcelo from Real Madrid brings the coveted 5 stars as a left-back.
Marcelo has been known for years to also cause a stir offensively. This is also reflected in the low defensive and high attacking work rate of his card. Those who place Marcelo at left back have a real weapon for offensive actions down the wing, but are slightly vulnerable defensively. By the way, he also has a purely offensive CAM version, which has insane stats but costs over a million coins.
Expensive, but a fantastic dribbler
Coutinho
How strong is Coutinho: Looking at Coutinho’s currently strongest card, you see a 93 dribbling score. It could theoretically rise further since it is an OTW card. Given the currently suspended Bundesliga, however, you will have to wait and see if the card will continue to rise.
The advantage is: The card is now significantly cheaper at 75,000 coins than it was a few weeks ago. If you have the coins, you can get a strong option on the wing with Coutinho.
Garrincha
How strong is Garrincha: Garrincha is a Brazilian legend known for his dribbling. It’s no surprise that the attacker has extremely good dribbling stats. Furthermore, he is also incredibly dangerous and hard to stop in offense.
Get Garrincha from Icon Swaps
The problem is: He costs almost two million coins, which is way too expensive for most players. But Garrincha can also be obtained for 21 tokens in the current Icon Swaps. Securing the Brazilian could definitely be worth it.
Of course, there are many more players with strong tricks. Who are your favorite dribblers in FIFA 20? You can find even more good cards here:
There are quite a few quirky stories about Mordhau and the community continues to surprise with absurd ideas. The latest nonsense is related to the coronavirus, which some players are making a rather unique commentary on.
What are the players up to? A small group around the Twitch streamer and YouTuber “Stay in the grave” has taken it upon themselves to enforce controls for the coronavirus and quarantines in Mordhau.
They then play together in these suits, engaging with various levels of the current and real threat playfully in Mordhau. We have embedded the complete video of the action here:
https://youtu.be/75OXLIPdrKI
Different Stages of Isolation
The first stage they call “testing”. With their suits and various gestures, a drawn crossbow, and kicks, they push the players being controlled into a quarantine zone made of wooden shields. There they are then “examined”.
Those who test positive receive a bolt to the eye. Those who test negative … apparently also do. The video doesn’t make this clear, as all victims die from fists or arrows.
The second stage is the lockdown, which is also happening in many cities currently. They barricade themselves with pavises on roofs or in towers and prevent opponents from reaching them – sometimes with heavy stones that they deliberately throw at heads.
The last stage is the “Last Stand”, where they lure others into traps alone or in pairs to cleverly bring them to their graves. From here the video loses some focus on Corona, but remains quite entertaining. Let someone say again, the Mordhau community is only toxic.
Many trolls in Mordhau? For sure, but this action is well received.
How is the action received?
On YouTube, the video has barely any views, but the corresponding thread on reddit already has over 1000 upvotes. It is thus one of the most popular threads in the Mordhau subreddit.
In The Division 2, players are currently using a glitch that grants them incredible damage numbers. With this over-buff, agents are heading into the toughest missions to farm Exotics.
What’s happening in the loot shooter? In The Division 2, agents are actively playing through the first season and the new endgame after the big “Warlords of New York” expansion.
Players have encountered a glitch that is currently spreading within the community. This error allows players to push their damage numbers to incredible heights.
Update March 24: This morning, maintenance took place that eliminated the annoying season reset. In a post on Twitter, the developers stated that they are aware of the new DPS glitch and are working on it. However, they did not provide a specific date for a fix.
Agents farm Exotics with damage in the millions
What are the effects? With this artificial power buff in hand, agents run through the hardest missions of the game, surprising regular bullet sponges with an immense amount of damage.
The glitch is especially favored for farming Exotics. According to some players, they have far too low drop rates, and unscrupulous agents run through lines of elite enemies in search of the next Exo shot.
To obtain the Exotics at the new max level 40, some agents are willing to use any means necessary.
How does it work? It has something to do with a stationary turret. After correctly executing some actions, you have much more damage on your weapons, and you can even see this in the stats.
The missions can then be approached completely normally, only the damage is significantly increased. In videos, you can see rifles with damage of 2.2 million per shot. And there’s even more to come.
Should I use this? Always be cautious with such things. Here you can secure a clear advantage that allows you to acquire good gear faster, potentially undermining an important aspect of the game.
If the developers at Massive are aware of the problem, bans could happen quickly. Your Division account could be suspended, perhaps even permanently.
Is a patch coming? The glitch is spreading rapidly in the community, and a fix is expected. However, we do not know what is behind it, and perhaps a quick solution is not possible at all.
However, it is expected that the developers will comment on this soon and remove the DPS glitch. Moreover, according to some agents, there are issues affecting Division 2 on all fronts right now. Some even demand that Massive puts the planned content on hold so that the developers have time to fix their game.
Close, but no cigar… Sometimes we don’t need ladders to use them.
Division 2 has suffered from several bugs and glitches since its release over a year ago:
The Steam boss had a peculiar profession for a while. He was a gold farmer in World of Warcraft.
Gabe Newell, better known as “Lord GabeN” on the internet, is likely familiar to most gamers. After all, he is the co-founder of Steam and Valve, creating one of the largest gaming empires in existence. But who would have thought that Newell once pursued a rather unusual profession? He was a gold farmer in World of Warcraft. Gold farming is still lucrative in WoW Classic as well.
What happened? In the magazine EDGE, Gabe Newell gave a very extensive interview and talked about many topics (via wccftech). One of the topics was gold farming in World of Warcraft. Newell had devoted some time to it. He tried to gather as much gold as possible to sell it to other players.
Why did Newell farm gold? The gold farming did not arise out of necessity but to prove a point – that it is possible to earn good money as a player from gaming. Newell says:
As a “Proof of Concept”, I decided to be a gold farmer in World of Warcraft for a while. I earned $20 per hour through gold farming. I achieved something that would be a fantastic wage for most people in most regions of the world.
This experience also led to the inclusion of features in Steam like the workshop, where players act as content creators, create content, and can earn real money.
Concerned parents reached out to Steam: However, the resulting Steam Workshop also had some funny side effects. Some concerned parents contacted Steam Support, believing that Steam was selling drugs to children.
This could be attributed to PayPal contacting the parents, according to Newell, with this message: “Your child is exceeding the limits of how much money they can deposit into a PayPal account per month. They are probably selling stolen goods or drugs, as there is no other explanation.”
Newell had to explain to the parents that their child was creating items for Team Fortress in the workshop and was earning $500,000 a year.
This was an indicator for us that we need to see games as a platform, and it has influenced all our decisions regarding multiplayer games in the future.
Who would have thought that this decision was due to Newell farming a bit of gold in WoW?
