The Pokémon GO Community Day in June 2021 brings with Kaumalat one of the rarest monsters ever. But while many are excited about the event with the little dragon, it does not bring good mood everywhere.
What kind of Community Day is this? A few days ago it was announced, that the Community Day with Kaumalat will take place on June 6. Other bonuses are not yet known, but as with every Community Day, there should be a significantly increased number of spawns, a greatly improved shiny rate, and a special attack for Kaumalat’s final evolution, Knakrack.
This is what makes Kaumalat special: Kaumalat has so far been one of the rarest monsters in the game. It usually only appeared sporadically at events and was not necessarily easy to find even then. Recently, there was an unusually good opportunity with the research breakthrough with Kaumalat.
Thus, the shiny variant of the dragon Pokémon has likely also only been encountered by a few trainers. Furthermore, Knakrack is also among the best attackers in Pokémon GO. It is therefore an event monster that should definitely be collected.
The combination of “Strong” and “Rare” made Kaumalat one of the most sought-after monsters in Pokémon GO in the past. The desire for a Community Day with the monster was often heard. Now, however, the implementation of the event does not bring joy to everyone.
Notorious WoW Player Blows Himself and His Victims Up
When Paladins in World of Warcraft burst their bubble, it also tears apart other players. This can be exploited quite badly with a trick.
In World of Warcraft, so many items have accumulated over nearly two decades that hardly any player can remember all of them. This sometimes allows for funny combinations of toys or small items that one had completely forgotten about. One combination allows Paladins to kill nearly any other player in PvP with a single click. While it also destroys the Paladin himself, it is still quite amusing. Rextroy shows once again how this works.
Who is Rextroy? Rextroy is now a notorious WoW player who continuously discovers interesting or absurd combinations of abilities and items and turns them into videos. He has already soloed raid bosses or sent entire groups of players to the digital afterlife with a single keystroke.
Rextroy is in good contact with Blizzard. Before he publishes his videos, he sends the developers a note about what is currently absurdly powerful in the game and clearly bugged, so that the developers can respond quickly.
What has he done now? In the latest video, Rextroy shows how he approaches other players in PvP as a Paladin. As soon as he reaches them, he activates a shield only to explode in a wave of fire shortly afterward. This instantly kills him, but also his quite surprised counterpart, as the 30,000 to 40,000 damage points are survived by very few.
Why does this work? The core of the combo is the “Shimmering Seal of Ordos,” which can be looted on the Timeless Isle. Normally, the item releases a wave of flames in a radius of 40 meters upon use, which should kill all small animals (Critters). However, since the level squish from Shadowlands, the item does not function properly anymore. Instead of only destroying small animals, the player using it is also destroyed in the wave of flames.
This works excellently with the Paladin ability “Shield of Vengeance.” The shield absorbs damage and deals damage to all enemies in the area upon its destruction.
Rextroy increases the absorbed (and thus also dealt) damage of the shield by using as many stamina items as possible, such as potions, covenant abilities, and defensive abilities of the tank Paladin.
When using the shield, the maximum HP value determines the size of the absorption and thus the damage dealt. Now, Rextroy only needs to sneak up on an opponent, activate the seal of Ordos, and send himself and his surprised counterpart to the afterlife.
Expect that this combination will not work for much longer and will be fixed soon. However, it is only a matter of time until Rextroy discovers a new opportunity.

One of the best LoL players in the world admits: “I don’t know what is strong right now”
Croatian Luka “Perkz” Perković (21) is regarded as one of the best mid laners in the world: But he says he has no idea what the right champion for the mid lane in League of Legends is right now. And that’s despite the fact that the international LoL tournament MSI is currently taking place. The meta for the mid lane seems still unclear: The patch 11.9 is too young and there are unusual interactions at the positions:
This is the situation in LoL:
- Currently, the “Mid Season Invitational 2021” is being played in LoL. This is the second most important tournament in any LoL year after the Worlds.
- The tournament is played with the relatively new patch 11.9, which has been on the live server for almost two weeks and brought a whole range of nerfs and buffs for the champions, especially in the jungle.
- Perkz is considered one of the best players in Europe, but is contracted to the Americans Cloud 9. So far, the tournament has been mixed for him, his team is in a group with top favorite DAMWON Gaming (South Korea) and two underdogs, standing with 1-2 only somewhat decent.
Mid laners are currently adapting to what the jungler plays in LoL
This is what Perkz says now: Perkz had just won a game with Tristana against Infinity Esports when he was asked for an interview. He was asked about champion selection in the mid lane, as the meta in the mid lane seems entirely unclear during the MSI. The currently most popular champions are not the ones that actually win.
Perkz admitted:
I currently have no idea what is strong in the mid lane.
Perkz
He had only chosen Tristana because she fit into Cloud 9’s team composition. But generally, he seems puzzled. His usual champion Nidalee is currently rather weak.
Essentially, the choice of the champion for the mid lane is currently made in line with the jungler and the overall team composition.
The crucial point starts around 51:51 minutes.
What is the reason? It is a strange phenomenon currently in League of Legends: Because junglers still dominate the meta of LoL. However, with the new patch, they have gone more towards magic damage (AP) than in the previous patches. Therefore, mid laners are apparently switching to champs that deal physical damage (AD).
The mid laner of Unicorns of Love, Nomanz, explains the problem:
When you watch matches, you see a lot of Nidalee, Morgana, and Rumble [in the jungle], even Udyr now deals more magic than physical damage. In a “Fully AP Jungle Meta”, you have to play an AD mid laner to be strong yourself, or you play a control mage together with Udyr and try to outscale the opponent or something like that.
Mid laners are becoming more of a helper to the jungler – It used to be the other way around
What is behind this: You can see how complex the interactions in LoL are. Although patch 11.9 changed little in the mid lane, but mainly focused on the jungle position, the effects create a new meta in the mid lane.
The classic mid laner in League of Legends is actually a mage with AP damage. For years, this has been the “star” in a LoL team. Players like Faker, Perkz, Caps, or Bjergsen have been the most popular players in their teams and leagues.
In the new patch, however, the position seems to be switching from magic damage (AP) to physical damage (AD).
This is because the enemy adjusts with armor items to the currently dominant character of the opposing team, therefore the mid laner should not deal the same type of damage as the jungler at the moment.
For years, the junglers were rather the “workers” of a team, setting up others. At the moment, they have replaced the mid laner as the central character of a LoL team and now apparently have to adapt to the jungler.
Perkz’s statement fits well with Nicholas “LS” De Cesare’s thesis:
LoL nerd explains that coaches and pros have no idea about the central aspect of the game

„New“ raid brings back people who uninstalled Destiny 2 years ago
For MeinMMO author Sven Galitzki, the return of the iconic raid Vault of Glass represents the absolute highlight of the new Season 14 of Destiny 2. Old companions are returning, some of whom had stopped playing Destiny years ago, rekindling old Guardian friendships. How does it look for you?
What does the return entail? A new Season 14, the season of the Splicer, is about to start in Destiny 2. This brings not only a new seasonal story, a transmog system, or fresh weapons and armor into the game, but also some new activities – including a “new” raid.
This is the Vault of Glass. For some Guardians, this raid will be completely new territory, but many Destiny veterans are familiar with this iconic activity from Part 1, as it is the very first raid of the Destiny franchise.
And this raid is creating a dynamic in my personal circle that I have never experienced in Destiny 2 before.
He is a fan of Destiny since its inception and has spent an enormous amount of time on both parts of the franchise. If there is a game that forever holds a place in his heart, it is Destiny. However, countless hours spent in various “Call of Duty” installments, as well as the Division and Battlefield series, also belong to his portfolio.
In Destiny 2, I’m feeling burnt out
Here’s where I currently stand with Destiny 2: In short, by mid-last Season 13, I was already feeling burnt out. After the phenomenal mission aboard the Cabal flagship, nothing in Destiny 2 could capture my interest any longer. After completing all the seasonal “mandatory tasks”, outings as a Guardian noticeably became less frequent. Towards the end, I only played to obtain the still-missing Weapon Exotic Succession with Catalyst, and that was it.
For a long time, I was looking forward to the presentation of the new Season 14. I am a big fan of SIVA – both visually and lore-wise – and since some leaks revolved around SIVA (partly due to the Splicers), and I hoped for a return and possible story integration, I was accordingly excited. And thus, disappointed…
After the presentation of the new season, I felt a sense of disillusionment (which might not apply to everyone). Personally, neither the seasonal theme nor the new activities appeal to me – at least based on what is currently known. Not even the cute baby Fallen. Even the transmog I had been looking forward to for a long time, I now approach almost indifferently after its detailed presentation.
Nonetheless, I am very much looking forward to the new season – although so far only for one single reason.
Vault of Glass – My personal highlight of Season 14
The only thing I’m really looking forward to: I am excited for the “new” old raid – the Vault of Glass. Since the announcement, I have been eagerly waiting for its return. To this day, it is my favorite raid, my favorite activity in the entire series.
And now it is returning in old glory with some new features. I must admit, I have rarely been as excited and full of anticipation as I am now in Destiny 2.
This is how I experience the upcoming return: At first, I thought it might just be me feeling this way. But apparently, I was wrong.
With the approach of the comeback, the Vault of Glass is once again a hot topic in my clan – even though participation has been lacking recently. Weeks before the start, we had already made plans for the raid. I believe this has never happened before in this way.
Generally, the comeback is breathing life back into the otherwise almost dead friends list – at least in terms of communication. I have now been contacted multiple times by people who, in some cases, haven’t played Destiny in years, asking when the raid will return exactly, if participation is still possible after years of absence and whether we would like to start a run together like in the old times. I have not experienced this in Destiny 2 before.
I was particularly pleased that two people from my fire team, with whom we first defeated Atheon, contacted me, and we are now planning a revival. One of them stopped playing during Destiny 1, while the other quit shortly after the release of Destiny 2. But thanks to the raid, both are returning and want to take a closer look at Destiny 2 again. No other content has managed to do this for them before.
Even players from my circle of acquaintances who do not know the raid from Part 1 are now very curious due to all this activity and are looking forward to hearing what all the “old-timers” are raving about. The Space Magic of Vault of Glass is apparently still something very special today – not just for me.
By the way, here on MeinMMO, some readers have already announced in the comments that they are dusting off Destiny 2 again for the return of the Vault of Glass. And if you do not know the Vault of Glass yet – the upcoming raid is according to the roadmap free-to-play content, so you do not have to pay for it.
What is so special about the Vault of Glass? On one hand, it was the first raid of the Destiny franchise, which made it special in itself, being a novelty in the shooter genre at the time. Numerous veterans associate their first truly special experiences with it – whether it be “Forever 29”, a Gjallarhorn drop, or the once-overpowered raid exotic Vex Mythoclast. Other iconic weapons such as the scout rifle Vision of Confluence or the hand cannon Fatebringer also originated from this raid.
On the other hand, the Vault of Glass is still considered by many to be the best raid to this day due to a perfectly balanced mix of shooting, jumping sequences, and boss mechanics – so for me too. The mechanics, the aesthetics, the enemies, the loot – everything worked 100% for me, it was, as I said, the perfect mix. To this day, I have enjoyed no other raid as much as the Vault of Glass.
In short: In the eyes of many players, no other raid has ever matched the quality and fun factor of the Vault of Glass. And I am very curious to see where the comeback version of the raid will ultimately rank.
How is it for you? Just because it looks this way for me doesn’t mean it has to be the same for everyone. So I would like to know: How is it going for you right now – whether as a Destiny veteran or as a Guardian who has never experienced the Vault of Glass?
Are you also looking forward to the return and eager to see the changes? Is the Vault of Glass also a hot topic in your immediate gaming environment, and are Guardians who have been missing for years coming back just for this raid? Are you planning nostalgia trips with your old raid teams from back in the day? As a “newbie”, are you excited to learn what numerous veterans are raving about? Or is the return of this raid perhaps completely indifferent to you? Let us know in the comments, other readers of MeinMMO.

FIFA 21 TOTW 33: The Predictions for the new Team of the Week
Next Wednesday, May 12th, EA will release the new TOTW 33 (Team of the Week) in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. But which players could be included? MeinMMO will tell you who might get a spot in the new Team of the Week.
What is the Team of the Week? Every week, EA assembles a new TOTW. This team consists of 23 players who have shown strong performances during the past football weekend.
They receive a spot in the Team of the Week as well as improved Inform cards, which can be found in packs for one week.
These are TOTW predictions: The FUT community tries to guess which players might make it into the TOTW. The performances of the players are closely analyzed, and predictions are made.
However, it is important to note that the predictions are not a guarantee for the final Team of the Week 33.
They provide a good overview and can also be used to earn some coins in FUT 21. How this works is explained here:

Where is Robert Lewandowski? With his hat-trick in the 6:0 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Lewandowski is actually a hot candidate for the next TOTW.
However, since next Friday the TOTS (Team of the Season) for the Bundesliga will likely be released, Lewandowski might not receive a TOTW card this week. This is because a player can only be represented with one special card in packs at the same time.

WoW: Do you already know the “Wild Three-Butt Mantaurus”?
The probably most absurd NPC in World of Warcraft was only around for a short time. However, to this day, the “Wild Three-Assed Mantaur” is still in the game’s database.
In the over 16 years of World of Warcraft, there have been many Easter eggs or crazy ideas from the developers that have appeared in the game data but were never properly implemented. One of them is the “Wild Three-Assed Mantaur.” That sounds as strange as it is. And the sight could certainly cause some very peculiar dreams.
What is it about? In the World of Warcraft subreddit, the user retardchef posted a screenshot from the very early days of the Cataclysm beta. The image garnered some attention and probably also caused a few nightmares. As of the current date (May 10, 09:30 AM), the post has received over 5,000 upvotes.
What kind of NPC is this? The “Wild Three-Assed Mantaur” is a creature composed of three male human models. While two men form the front and back of the creature, they are connected by a third man, who apparently should represent the torso of the being.
Nightmare fuel Cataclysm alpha Tol’vir models from r/wow
It clearly served as a placeholder for the later implemented Tol’vir.
On wowhead, some players recall the creature in the comments. Tahuma writes:
A legendary beast that was supposedly native to the rivers of Uldum. It is half man, half centaur, with the head of one man and the body of another man. Two men, to be honest. PTR monsters from Cataclysm.
Elrox also has some information about it:
I remember sneaking into Uldum during the alpha of Cataclysm before it officially opened, where you could find them. They counted as siege weapons and could be ridden. That made exploring the zone easier since you didn’t take fall damage with them.
Especially amusing: This “creature” was even translated into several languages in the game files. The “Wild Three-Assed Mantaur” is, for example, called “Wilder Drei-Hintern-Mantaurus” in the German client. Even the various localization teams at Blizzard must have laughed when they had to translate the name of such a creature.
Can you still encounter the NPC in the game? No. These “things” only existed during an early beta stage of the Cataclysm expansion. Anyone who ventured into the Uldum area before it officially opened could encounter the beings from which the Tol’vir later emerged.
However, early on in Uldum, there is still a quest where players escape together with other captives and disguise themselves as Tol’vir by positioning themselves – very similar to the peculiar mantaur – and escaping with the armor of the four-legged creatures.
So if you want to show off some useless WoW knowledge during the next raid on Discord, you now have the story of the peculiar Wild Three-Assed Mantaur.
You’re welcome, no need to thank.

Player wants to revive the old MMORPG on his own, even giving away subscriptions for it
A player wants to repopulate the old MMORPG Allods Online in 2021 while aiming for a change in the mindset of the developers. To achieve this, he is even giving away subscriptions to random players.
What is going on? On May 11, 2011 – and thus almost exactly 10 years ago – the MMORPG Allods Online was released. The player and YouTuber Dragagon fondly remembers the early days of the game but is annoyed that the game has developed negatively.
In the meantime, there are two different “versions” of Allods:
- A Free2Play server where there is Pay2Win
- A subscription server that does not include a shop and was launched in 2013
However, the problem in Dragagon’s eyes is that new players automatically land on the Free2Play server and thus come into direct contact with Pay2Win. Only a few manage to get to the subscription server, which he believes is therefore less populated.
That is exactly what Dragagon wants to change.
A big call and 100 free subscriptions
What exactly is he planning? Dragagon wants many new players to start Allods Online and start directly on the subscription server Smuggler’s Paradise (EU). There, they should be welcomed by veterans and get to know the game.
To do this, he is giving away 100 subscriptions for one month. The requirement, however, is that at least 75 players participate in the action and that the recipients are players who are completely new or at least returning to Allods Online after years.
Why is Dragagon doing this? The player seems to have a very special bond with Allods Online and wants to rekindle the MMO feeling and also fulfill his dream of being an Allods Online content creator. He says:
We are nothing more than a bunch of pals who want to play Allods Online like we did in the past: with an MMO feeling, surrounded by many players, which every MMO has.
This is not supported or shared by the Allods team. This is something that completely originated from within myself, and I felt compelled to do it if I wanted to be somehow successful in what I want to become: an Allods Online content creator.
Dragagon in his YouTube video
In his video, Dragagon also talks about wanting to experience how more than 100 players compete in a PvP battle, just as it used to be.
How can one participate in the action? Dragagon has set up a Google form that you can simply fill out (via Google Docs):
- You need a new account for it and must create a character on it.
- A Discord account is also required.
- If you have made these preparations, you must fill out the form and hope that at least 74 other people have done the same. Since the Discord for the action already has over 400 members, this hurdle seems to have been overcome.
- The form is to close on May 16, and then the subscriptions will also be sent out.
You can watch the complete video about the revival of Allods Online and the giveaway of the subscriptions here:
Allods Online reminds of WoW in space
What kind of MMORPG is it anyway? Allods Online takes place in a world consisting of islands floating in space. You travel through the so-called Allods, remnants of the planet Sarnaut, which was destroyed.
In terms of gameplay, characters, and interface, the MMORPG strongly resembles World of Warcraft. It was released in 2010 and has since been considered one of the best clones of the MMORPG.
Only in 2020 did Allods Online receive a huge update that raised the level cap and released a lot of new content. Just the year before, there was an expansion that introduced 3 new classes to the game.
How populated is Allods? It’s hard to say, but on Steam, where the MMORPG was released in 2017, Allods averages about 25 players per day (via Steamcharts). Dragagon also emphasizes in his videos that he wants to push the player numbers, which are likely quite small on the subscription server.
However, a community action like this could lead to a temporary increase in player numbers.
Those who do not feel like trying an old MMORPG are lucky this year. Officially, 10 new games have been announced for 2021. We want to know which one you are most looking forward to: Which new MMORPGs are you most looking forward to in 2021?

Destiny 2 listens to the community and now sells plush aliens
In Destiny 2 everyone is crazy about the baby Fallen from the new trailer for Season 14. You can now officially get these little rascals as plush toys, but why does it cost an incredible €777,777?
It’s all about these little rascals: In Destiny 2, the new Season 14 starts on May 11. Bungie fueled anticipation with a coolly staged trailer. But sweet baby aliens stole the show from the new weapons and the scary story about the eternal darkness.
Although the Fallen offspring was only visible for a brief moment, it was enough to captivate the Destiny community and make the Stasis-frozen Guardian hearts melt.
A real hype broke out around the Fallen babies. The internet was flooded with memes and comparisons to Baby Yoda (Grogu) from the “Star Wars” series The Mandalorian. MeinMMO reported that players in Destiny 2 are crazy about cute aliens that look like Baby Yoda.
The Guardians agreed: They wanted, no, they needed plush toys of the little rascals in real life, who gaze at you with their 4 eyes. Some users even “threatened” Bungie that they would uninstall Destiny 2 if plush versions were not released soon (via Twitter).
Buy baby Fallen plush toys for only €777,777.77?
The dream came true: In record time, the desire for baby Fallen plush toys has been fulfilled. You can order the heartthrobs from the official Bungie Store. The announcement tweet (via Twitter) has since garnered over 13,000 likes and is causing almost dental cavities with all the cuteness.
The price is a mere €777,777.77 (or dollars). Here’s what the plush toys are supposed to look like:

Why is the price so high? The absurd price of €777,777.77 is a placeholder that Bungie often uses. Many items in the store appear to be that expensive. By achieving in-game accomplishments in Destiny 2, you then receive an enormous discount.
Only through certain triumphs and the like can you then indulge in replicas of well-known weapons at normal, reasonable prices. By the way, the number is a reference to Bungie’s favorite number, which is 7. For example, on 7.7. is the “Bungie Day”, one of the rarest medals is the 7th Column and otherwise, the developer seems quite obsessed with the number 7.
How much the plush toys will actually cost in the end, we cannot say at this time.
These official details we have: This is how Bungie advertises the item in the store: You have already fallen in love with the cute Eliksni plush bugs. Get one of them home now. (Eliksni is what the Fallen call themselves in their own language). The catch: There is still no exact delivery date.
- The plush toys are expected to be released before the end of 2021, an email will inform interested buyers.
- A plush Fallen baby is about 25 centimeters tall. (10 inches)
- Numskull Designs is responsible for the production. They are specialists in merchandise for gaming and movie franchises. Numskull has products from Halo, Resident Evil, Harry Potter, and Rick & Morty in their range (via numskull.com)
- Here is the link to the European Bungie Store – where you can find more info.
In conclusion, here’s a GIF nominated by Bungie as “Artist of the Week” – of course with a baby Fallen:
What do you think? Did Bungie quickly respond to the community’s request here, and can you hardly wait to cuddle with your little Fallen? Or do you think the community is overreacting and smells cold calculation to boost merchandise sales?

Here is a Trickster build for the endgame of Outriders after patch 1.04
One of the most popular classes in Outriders is the Trickster (English: Assassins). MeinMMO shows you a build that helps you easily get through the endgame expeditions of Outriders and achieve Challenge Rank 15.
This is the Assassin: The special feature of the class is manipulating space and time. This allows Assassins to teleport, slow down enemies, and weaken them further.
With the right combination of equipment, weapons, and skills, you can build a deadly and lightning-fast machine that makes you mow through the endgame.
The YouTuber NickTew has presented a build that showcases one of the strongest build variants for the Assassin. This is also adapted to the armor bug that emerged with patch 1.04. We will show you what you need for the build.
Assassin Build – Skill Tree, Abilities, Equipment

These perks you need:
- Weapon Trickery (x4)
- Increases weapon damage at short range by 15%
- Trump Card
- Increases armor penetration by 10%
- Death Probability (x3)
- Increases weapon damage by 8%
- Mastery: Shotguns
- Increases damage with shotguns by 15%
- Increases the chance of enemies dropping shotguns by 20%
- Equilibrium
- Reduces cooldown of mobility abilities by 15%
- Devastating Firepower
- Activation of deception abilities increases weapon damage by 35% for 8 seconds
- Singularity
- Reduces cooldown of deception abilities by 15%
- Unexpected End (x2)
- When attacking enemies from behind, weapon damage is increased by 20%
- Bounty Hunter
- Increases weapon damage against elite enemies by 15%
- Strange Growth
- Increases magazine size by 50%
- Expert: Shotguns
- Increases shotgun damage by 12%
- Cold Calculation
- For every enemy at short range, weapon damage increases by 8%
The Skills of the Assassin Build

- Hunting Fever: Choose an enemy and teleport behind them. You gain an energy shield.
- Time Tear: Creates a shockwave that makes enemies hover in the air for 3.5 seconds and also causes weakness.
- Deceptive Bullets: You receive a magazine filled with anomaly-charged bullets that increase your damage and ignore resistances.
Weapons, Armor, Mods
These weapons are used by the YouTuber: The most important weapon of the build is the legendary shotgun, which appears in numerous builds and is one of the most popular weapons in the endgame of Outriders.
Due to item restoration, which went differently than planned, he even got this shotgun as a god roll. With the rank 3 mods “Fortress” and “Dark Sacrifice”, one of the most powerful damage combinations in Outriders is possible.
Fortress gives you a damage bonus of 43% when you exceed a certain armor value. Dark Sacrifice continuously drains your health until you have only 50% of your health points left. However, you get a permanent bonus of 75%.
The missing health points can be recovered through the damage you deal. This is a very risky playstyle, but if you move correctly and react quickly enough, you should be able to survive.

Alternatively, instead of Dark Sacrifice, the rank 3 mod Frenzy is recommended. This does not drain your life but also allows a strong damage bonus when you kill enemies. You have almost free choice for your secondary weapon.
These armor mods are used by NickTew: One of the most important armor pieces is Ugake Otarah’s legendary hood. This gives you a rank 3 modification Instant Reload. This mod refills your magazine every time you teleport with the Hunting Fever skill.
This makes maintaining your deceptive bullets easier, and you hardly ever have to reload.
- Head
- Eagle Eye (Rank 3): Increases your weapon damage when you kill an enemy while aiming through your scope. Can be stacked up to 3 times.
- Shotgun Ammo (Rank 2): Increases shotgun damage by 10%
- Chest
- Captain Hunter (Rank 3): Increases your weapon damage against elite enemies by 25%
- Protective Death (Rank 2): Increases your armor when you kill an enemy while aiming through your scope. Can be stacked up to 3 times.
- Pants
- High Range (Rank 1): Triples the range of the skill.
- Pain Transfer (Rank 3): 10% of weapon damage and 30% of anomaly damage are transferred from one enemy to another.
- Gloves
- Instant Reload (Rank 3): Your magazine is refilled every time you teleport with the Hunting Fever skill.
- Individual Distance (Rank 2): Increases your damage at short range by 15%
- Shoes
- Ammunition Bargain: If you kill enemies while Deceptive Bullets is active, you regain 20% of your ammunition.
- Blood Rage: Kills increase weapon damage. Can be stacked up to 3 times.
As attributes, you should focus on bonus weapon strength, cooldown reduction, and damage at short range.
You can see how this all looks in action in NickTew’s video. He demonstrates the build in the Starchasm Expedition:
With the build, he not only manages to complete expeditions at Challenge Level 1, but he also achieves times around 3 minutes. This makes grinding through the endgame incredibly fast.
The playstyle may cause some issues for some, as you don’t take too much damage from enemies. However, the shield of the assassin, which can be constantly built up through Hunting Fever, helps with this.
Currently, the armor system of Outriders is bugged. The bug does not seem to occur with the same intensity for all players. Keep this in mind when building similarly offensive builds.
There is also a trick that has helped some players: Here is a simple trick to bypass the armor bug of Outriders

It looks like the PS5 will soon have official controllers in new colors
Apparently, you can soon look forward to the DualSense 5 controller for the PS5 in new colors. This is at least suggested by a leak. MeinMMO summarizes the key information from the leak for you.
What kind of leak is this? The information comes from the Spanish website areajugones.sport.es. This site is known for accurate leaks about PS Plus games (via gamerant.com). According to the website, the information comes from an insider.
The latest leak is about new colors for the DualSense 5 controller of the PS5. In addition to the current color scheme of white/black, combinations of black/gray and red/black are expected to follow soon.
When are the colors supposed to arrive? Unfortunately, the leak does not specify. It only mentions “Soon”. So you should take the information with caution.
New colors have been desired since the release of the PS5. Fans have, for example, tried to illustrate how the new PS5 controller would look in black and presented 4 possibilities. This fan art from Snoreyn shows how the red variant might look:

White controller is stylish, but shows signs of use
Here’s how some fans reacted to the leak: The information quickly appeared in the subreddit for PS5 (via reddit.com). Numerous players are excited about the new colors. For instance, It’s Deadly writes: “YES, I have been waiting for a new color so I can buy another controller.”
Despite cleaning, the white controllers would show visible signs of wear after just six months. GoldenBunion writes, for example: “I think they look good […], but after 6 months of use, they definitely take on a tone around the grips, even though I clean them. That’s my only issue, but regular cleaning once a month mitigates it.”
Many players agree. Some will only buy a new DS5 controller if it is also released in a different color.
Strong feature, but there’s criticism too
The DualSense controller is considered one of the best features of the PlayStation 5 (via Screenrant.com). This is mainly due to the haptic feedback that lets you experience the game. You receive palpable feedback from the controller, depending on what you are currently doing in the game.
However, there is also criticism regarding the PS5 controller. Others criticize the wear of certain buttons. This isn’t surprising. The DualSense 5 has been the subject of discussion repeatedly for months.
There has already been a class action lawsuit against Sony for technical defects in the DualSense 5 as numerous PS5 controllers showed signs of wear or even broke relatively early.
A tinkerer has since discovered 4 major problems that are believed to be responsible for many PS5 controllers breaking.
This includes, for example, the choice of certain components that are partially designed for a lifespan of only 4 to 7 months.
The spring mechanism could also be part of the problem and cause the so-called “stick drift,” where the controller registers inputs even though the stick is not being operated.
Are you looking forward to the new controller variants if the leak turns out to be true? Do you wish for other color combinations? What do you think of the DS5? Feel free to let us know in the comments.

The highlights of the week: This week, Elyon launched its first closed beta in the West. And this launch was bumpy:
- On May 6, it was supposed to start at 14:00. However, the first players only got onto the servers at the earliest at 17:00. There were also problems going into May 7.
- The first reactions to the new MMORPG from Korea are mixed. The combat system and character progression are praised, while there is criticism for quests and the overall feeling that Elyon is too “generic”.
Besides Elyon, WoW Classic was in focus. There, it was revealed that the release of Burning Crusade takes place on June 2 at 00:00 for us.
The controversy of the week: This also revolves around WoW Classic. Here, a Deluxe Edition and character copy were introduced. Both cost real money, but the prices are just too high for many.

Path of Exile’s head says: “There are things in Path of Exile that 15-year-olds should not see”
The chief developer of Path of Exile spoke in an interview with MeinMMO editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski about why it is so important for him to stay true to the original community.
Path of Exile 2 is seen as one of the biggest competitors of Diablo 4. It is important to know that Path of Exile 2 will not be a completely new game. The hack-and-slash shares many contents with its predecessor. However, many game systems, such as equipment and classes, will be revised for the sequel. Of course, there will also be a new story campaign.
Path of Exile and the sequel are to continue running in parallel as service games. Both are free and both will be supported with updates and expansions.
In this context, MeinMMO spoke with the CEO and founder of Grinding Gear Games, Chris Wilson, about the target audience of Path of Exile 2. A fresh start with changes like those in Path of Exile 2 carries the risk of alienating the dedicated community. At the same time, a breath of fresh air is needed to attract new players.
Wilson hopes that former players will return and bring many friends
MeinMMO: Shortly after the announcement of Path of Exile 2, you mentioned in an interview (via Gamepedia) in 2019 that you were heavily invested in Guild Wars and immediately lost interest in that game after the announcement of Guild Wars 2. You said that this should not happen with Path of Exile and that taking the old community with you is very important. But how exactly do you plan to attract new players?
Chris Wilson: “One of the interesting things about Path of Exile is that it is a very social game that many people start. Because it is complicated, friends usually bring other friends. So if we have a large influx of players returning to the game, they usually bring a bunch of friends along.
The best way for us to attract new players is to get as many former players as possible to try out Path of Exile again. […]
Path of Exile has a sense of community. It requires someone to hold your hand a little. Other than that, we made it as simple as possible to install and play Path of Exile. It’s just that it certainly helps to talk to others who have experience with the game once you get to the complicated parts.
So our strategy is basically to make Path of Exile 2 as good as possible and then rely on the fact that countless millions of people around the world who have already enjoyed Path of Exile will hopefully come back for the sequel and bring along a larger social group.”
MeinMMO: So you are betting on the fresh start and that people will tell their friends that the entry is easier now?
Chris Wilson: “Exactly. You know, every Path of Exile expansion we released for the main game is a fresh start from an economic perspective. Each of the new leagues we create takes place on its own server.
So there is already a fresh start, but people will understand that much better with a sequel. It’s a kind of fresh knowledge start. You feel like you are not behind with your knowledge of the game. And that is then very useful.”
Too many changes could alienate players
MeinMMO: What was the most important lesson you learned as developers from Path of Exile, and how has it affected part 2?
Chris Wilson: “In Path of Exile, you get these gems, called Skill Gems, and you slot them into your items. Combined, they create cool abilities, which is a great system. The problem is that you shouldn’t slot the jewels into your items because that prevents you from swapping the items as you progress in the game. […]
And in the endgame, it’s even worse when you have your endgame armor and it’s basically perfect. You’ve spent so long connecting the six colored sockets in just the right colors together. And then you find another item that could be better. But to be honest, to use that, you have to spend a week sorting out the sockets.”
So we broke these systems down. There are still the Skill Gems, but now the sockets are on the gems themselves. So you take a Fireball gem and add additional sockets to it and slot more gems in. And that has exactly the same depth as the previous system. In fact, it allows us to do more things, which is pretty cool, but the actual items themselves are much easier to swap. […]
Honestly, we felt for a long time that we could never change it because it had such a big impact on the game. And it wasn’t until we decided officially to make a true sequel that we realized it was okay to change that.
Because any change like this is very disruptive for existing players. That is something that might cause them to say: Now I hate this game, I’m not going to play anymore. And that’s why we wanted to make sure it was the right decision before we committed to it. In this case, everyone dislikes this problem and everyone likes the solution. So we are quite confident that this won’t be the thing that makes players hate the sequel.

MeinMMO: Was there a particular moment when you realized that the changes to the gem system are possible, or was it a longer process?
Chris Wilson: “We felt that it wasn’t something we could ever change because it had such a big impact on the game. And it wasn’t until we officially decided to make a full sequel that we realized it was okay to change it.
Because any change like this is very disruptive for existing players. That’s something that might cause them to say: “I hate this game now, I’m not going to play anymore.” And that’s why we wanted to make sure it was the right decision before we committed to it. In this case, everyone found the problem annoying and everyone likes our solution. So we are quite confident that this won’t be the thing that makes them hate the sequel.”
The studio is in no hurry to release the mobile version
MeinMMO: In 2013, you started with Grinding Gear Games as a fresh company and were new to the gaming market, I assume. What are the biggest changes you’ve personally observed in the gaming industry in the past eight years?
Chris Wilson: “There have been a lot of changes and we are really trying hard to stay traditional here. We’re making a mouse and keyboard action RPG. The kind of game you would pick off the shelf in 2000.
When we started, everyone told us you need virtual reality. That’s the next thing. And then they said mobile gaming, you need to be on mobile, you have to do that and you have to be on consoles. And sure, we released a console version, yes, we are working on a mobile version, but those things came when we were really ready for them.
We are in no hurry to release the mobile version. We will release it in a few years when it’s ready. It’s not something we wanted to finish in 2008 when the app store boom happened. And that’s how the gaming industry changes. Nowadays, much more emphasis is placed on influencer marketing. And now cross-play and cross-compatibility are important. We are quite slow in doing all of that. We literally did our first paid campaigns with influencers this year, until then we hadn’t even dealt with proper influencer marketing.
We are quite cautious to ensure that we implement the roots of traditional PC gaming well, and then later branch into the new, interesting trends.”
A battle pass for Path of Exile would certainly be an option
MeinMMO: Do you think that a subscription system or something like a battle pass for Path of Exile would be feasible, where one receives certain cosmetics for paying monthly?
Chris Wilson: “Well, the tricky thing about battle passes is that you essentially buy a series of challenges that you have to complete. You receive visual, cosmetic rewards for doing that. So we would have two systems in Path of Exile. We already have challenges with the leagues that provide cosmetic rewards. Those are great, competitive challenges. They are included in the game.
We are concerned that if we say, okay, you can now buy challenges, people will say, okay, but I got them for free before. We also sell supporter packs whenever we release a league that gets people a bunch of microtransactions for that league. […]
So we are not opposed to the idea. It’s just that the obvious way to implement it would give quite a negative impression to players. And we are well aware of that. So it’s something we are still working on, but at the moment we have league challenges in the game and we have supporter packs that they can purchase over time.”
We need to ensure we only attract adults with Path of Exile
MeinMMO: Aren’t you afraid that you won’t attract any new younger players at all if you don’t bring in modernizations like a battle pass for Path of Exile?
Chris Wilson: “That’s a very good question. We want to remain loyal to the players who have supported us for so long. We want to ensure that any changes we make fully align with the philosophy we have been discussing with them for a while. Of course, it’s great if we can attract younger players and that happens somewhat organically.
However, we would be concerned if we attracted too young players because Path of Exile is quite a bloody game in some places. There’s some content that I wouldn’t want a 15-year-old to see, such as nudity, sexuality or violence. In Germany, Path of Exile has an age rating of 18. So we need to be careful that we really only appeal to adults here.
We have some players in their early twenties. Honestly, it’s great to appeal to adults who have established careers and want a game that requires thought. They also have jobs, which means they can pay us a lot for microtransactions.
So we are currently satisfied with our community demographics. But you are right. Finding ways to attract younger players would certainly help the longevity of the game. We just want to do it in a way that doesn’t upset the old players.”

Streamers play an important role in community events
MeinMMO: Since you mentioned influencer marketing earlier, could you imagine introducing features for streamers in Path of Exile?
Chris Wilson: “We’ve thought in the past about having modes where one streamer can challenge another, where the viewers can help make it difficult. There are a lot of fun possibilities with that. We’re currently discussing this internally.
If we did that, we would probably only do it in regular Path of Exile. We haven’t put as much development effort into that kind of community event lately because we’ve been so busy with core game work, but it’s honestly a cool area.
Streaming is obviously a lot of fun for players and the streamers love hosting races where they compete against each other and can commentate. And so we’ve developed various systems over time to allow them to host these community races.”
Tencent has no major influence on the development of Path of Exile
MeinMMO: Since 2018 you have been working with Tencent, but you don’t hear much about it. What has changed for you since then?
Chris Wilson: “I have to take on some additional tasks, such as accounting, financial reports, and I need to attend board meetings. Other than that, nothing has really changed. We continue to develop the game as we see fit.
Now a company is involved and not just individuals. It’s helpful from a support standpoint. I’m only talking to you [GameStar and MeinMMO] because Kramer [PR agent] from Tencent generously arranged this. That’s amazing because normally I do my day job and don’t really think about discussing the game with the media.”
MeinMMO: What benefits does the collaboration bring for the players?
Chris Wilson: “The additional resources we get there mean we can save our energy and money for the development of the game. Otherwise, I don’t believe it has a very large impact on the players. I mean it can, for example, mean that small companies don’t try to sue us over silly things. You have a large multinational corporation helping you out with that.
It’s just good for Grinding Gear Games to be a little protected because a big company is looking out for them. But to be honest, the player experience should not change.”
MeinMMO: Thank you very much for the conversation!
What about the beta launch and the mobile version?
During the interview, we also discussed a potential beta launch of Path of Exile 2 and the possible launch of a mobile version of the hack-and-slash.
When can we expect a release of Path of Exile 2? Not before 2022
Will there be a beta? Yes. However, it is still unclear when the beta test will start. Development of Path of Exile 2 is currently progressing more slowly than originally planned due to the global Corona pandemic.
How do you get access to the beta? You will not need to register separately for a beta. Grinding Gear Games wants to ensure that everyone currently playing Path of Exile can access the beta test of the sequel. Chances are good that there will be quick and guaranteed access for players who have invested significantly in supporter packs.
When is the release of Path of Exile Mobile planned? The game is expected to be released around the same time as Path of Exile 2, as the games share many systems. Development is progressing and the developers plan to share new information soon.
Do you plan to play Path of Exile 2? Feel free to let us know in the comments how you feel about the game. Are you currently playing the first part, or are you one of the former players?

After Rambo: CoD Warzone hints at crossover with another iconic blockbuster
Call of Duty: Warzone has a lot in store. In a short time, they teased another potential crossover with a Hollywood hit. Will we soon see tough cop John McClane from “Die Hard” alongside Rambo causing chaos in the Battle Royale?
What is this crossover all about? Currently, Season 3 is underway in Warzone, and things are quite lively. Recently, a new weapon and a balance update for the Battle Royale were introduced – there was also a clear hint pointing towards a possible crossover with Rambo, much to the delight of numerous fans.
And now a fresh teaser is causing quite a stir. Following Rambo, there are now strong indications that another action icon could make an appearance in the Battle Royale – namely, the tough cop John McClane from the “Die Hard” series (portrayed in the films by Bruce Willis).
This means that soon, two action heroes from the 80s could wreak havoc in the Warzone – fitting for the new (revised) map Verdansk ’84, which is also set in the 80s.
Looks like a crossover with “Die Hard” is coming too
Here are the hints: On May 8, the official Twitter account of Call of Duty posted a tweet. Metal ventilation shafts can be seen there. Additionally, the name of a fictional company – Nakatomi Duct Cleaning – is recognizable. According to the inscription, this belongs to the Nakatomi Corp, which has apparently been specializing in cleaning air conditioning systems and ducts since 1988. The slogan “Say yippee ki yay to dust” also adorns the posted image. And there is even a link leading to NakatomiDuctCleaning.com.
What does this have to do with Die Hard? For fans and connoisseurs of the Die Hard series, no further explanation is needed. For everyone else: These are very clear references to the action blockbuster Die Hard 1.
The film itself dates back to 1988, where the initially unassuming cop John McClane experienced a Christmas party of a rather different kind and became a world-famous action icon. He single-handedly took on a group of heavily armed gangsters who had taken hostages, including his wife, at the Nakatomi Plaza, a skyscraper and the US headquarters of the Nakatomi Corporation.
During this, he frequently moved through ventilation shafts (as he also did in part 2). The lighter integrated into the Nakatomi logo comes from the first film. And the phrase “Yippee Ki Yay, Motherf****r” became McClane’s trademark, visible and audible in every Die Hard film.
By the way, clicking on the link leads to what appears to be a specially created homepage for Nakatomi Duct Cleaning. Besides further film references, you can also schedule an appointment there. If you click the button, a window for a new email opens. This is addressed to [email protected]. If you have any wishes in Verdansk, you are encouraged to contact him. It couldn’t be more obvious that John McClane is likely to make an appearance in the Warzone.
When could this crossover come to the game? Unfortunately, this is currently unknown for neither of the teased Johns – neither Rambo nor McClane. The developers remain silent and send “mouth shut” emojis on Twitter. And officially, nothing has been announced yet – only hinted at. So, we have to wait for further developments. However, it is speculated that both action icons could join the ranks of the Operators sometime during Season 3.
What do you think of this potential crossover? Do you think it’s cool that you might be hunting as action icons in the Warzone soon? Or do you have no interest in such collaborations? Let us know and other readers of MeinMMO in the comments.
By the way, with PS Plus you can currently glamorize a new operator exclusively: CoD Cold War & Warzone: Secure new free DLC for Season 3 with PS Plus

WoW: The most famous “Noob Filter” returns after 13 years
The most notorious boss mechanic from World of Warcraft is back. And once again, the Heigan Dance will claim victims.
Over the course of 16 years, World of Warcraft has seen thousands of boss mechanics that players had to master. It is not surprising that some mechanics repeat themselves. However, in the next patch of Shadowlands, veterans will likely encounter one of the oldest and most feared boss mechanics once again – the Heigan Dance.
What was the Heigan Dance? The Heigan Dance is a notorious boss mechanic from Naxxramas. It was used in the Plague Wing against Heigan. Players had to react quickly because deadly green plague would burst forth in 3/4 of the room, killing players in most cases with one hit. The safe area changed every few seconds in a fixed sequence, meaning players had to move swiftly from spot to spot to survive.
This sequence of steps that had to be practiced was reminiscent of a dance. Hence the name “Heigan Dance”.
In Vanilla, this was considered one of the more complicated boss mechanics and was also referred to as a “Noob filter”.
How is the Heigan Dance coming back? In the upcoming raid, Sanctum of Domination, in Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination, there is a mechanic that resembles the Heigan Dance quite a bit. In the fight against the boss “Soulrender Dormazain”, there is a similar mechanic. Here, the boss also fills 3/4 of the room with deadly areas, and players must dodge. This initially happens only in individual sections, but later on, there is also an interval during which several of these spells are cast in succession. Players must again react quickly and enter the respective safe area.
Particularly tricky: During one of these dance steps, players must switch between the two outer areas. Without additional movement speed and quick reactions, or a Warlock portal, this is not so easy.
New raid is full of old mechanics: Basically, it seems that there are a whole series of old mechanics dressed in new garb in the Sanctum of Domination, with many nods to old encounters. Kel’Thuzad makes an appearance once again and brings many mechanics and adds that players already know from Naxxramas. In passing, he is likely to leave behind the template for the renewed “South Park” sword.
Are you already looking forward to the new raid in Patch 9.1 with its nods to the past? Or would you have preferred completely new boss mechanics?

I tried a crazy game with cute killer animals – you should try it too
Small, cute comic animals can be underestimated, can’t they? That’s what MeinMMO author Max Handwerk thought when he stumbled across “Super Animal Royale” on Steam. A closer look at the game shows, however, that it has much more to offer than just a quirky setting.
What is Super Animal Royale? During the week, there was great news: “Super Animal Royale” is finally also coming to consoles. After being available on Steam since 2018, players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, or Nintendo Switch will soon be able to land on the island of cute killer animals. Wait, you don’t know the game? Yep, I felt the same way.
That changed, however, when the developers of Pixile Studios announced the upcoming console launch during the week. With the following trailer, which you should definitely check out yourself:
Brief summary: We see a few cute, singing comic animals. In “Super Animal World,” they sing a little song about how great they can dance, rap, cook, tell jokes, and… kill. Then a fox is ambushed by a beaver (?), after which the whole scene shifts over the map.
Then the little animals jump down onto the island and fight to the bitter end. All accompanied by a cheerful song about grenades, brutal battles, and that the animals, unlike humans, are the future.
It’s a bit Happy Tree Friends-like, but quirky can also be fun. In any case, the trailer was enough to lure me to Steam – where you encounter a lot of really good reviews. And rightly so, as was shown after a few rounds on the island of animals.
What’s in Super Animal Royale
This is praised on Steam: The reviews on Steam rate the game overall as “Extremely Positive” – both for the summary of all reviews and for the recent reviews (that is, the ratings from the last 30 days). Overall, 95% of all ratings were positive. A damn strong average.
In detail, players touch on many different aspects, but especially highlight the fun factor of the free game.
- “A fun game that you can play alone or with friends. The paid versions only give access to more cosmetics, which do not affect gameplay,” praises a user (via Steam).
- “A really beautiful game, even if the first impression based on pictures might not be so great. The game was really fun for me right from the first round. I was already fed up with Battle Royale, but this game just has a fresh gameplay feel. I can only recommend everyone to try it out a bit. Besides, it’s free anyway,” writes another user (via Steam).
- “This game is a hell of a lot of fun! The community is really cool, the devs address issues promptly and take feedback from the community directly in Discord. Great potential here for a cool game in between or if you are ambitious to play for hours on end,” says another comment (via Steam).

How my first rounds went: The good atmosphere around the game also led me to hit the download button. The download was completed within minutes, and I could dive onto the island as well.
Gameplay-wise, it follows the familiar battle royale principle. 64 cuddly animals land without equipment on the island and fight until only one player (or team) is left. The ever-shrinking combat zone creates time pressure. However, it’s not a storm like in Fortnite that sweeps across the map, but “Super Skunk Gas.” What else.
The top-down view, from which you play, is unusual. You always have a decent part of the map in view, while shadows and buildings provide cover that can only be exposed when you go in yourself. So it’s not like you can see every opponent at all times – that would be too easy.
To go after each other, the little animals collect all kinds of tools. I’ve seen katanas, SMGs, rifles, pistols, grenades, bows, or bananas – the variety of weapons is definitely present.
In terms of movement, you rely on your own paws but can quickly evade in all directions or cover a few meters with a skilled roll by pressing the space bar. Additionally, there are crazy means of transportation, like rideable emus or rolling hamster balls.
This is what the game excels at: The mechanics are quickly learned, even if you, like me, are more accustomed to console than PC. You should keep an eye on the skunk gas, though. In any case, I’ve given up a round a bit too hastily after getting lost in the variety of weapons and completely missed fleeing to the safe zone.
The matches in Super Animal Royale are comparatively short, which is why the map shrinking kicks in fairly early in the match. Therefore, you often and quickly encounter enemies; prolonged hiding is not on the agenda.
Apart from the gameplay, the game also impresses if you take a closer look at it. The map is lovingly designed, full of little details. Sometimes it’s almost a shame that the skunk gas comes in so quickly.
All in all, Super Animal Royale is much more than just a mix of a quirky setting with battle royale gameplay. The game is simply a lot of fun thanks to fast-paced combat, unusual look, as well as a detailed map and equipment. If you’re looking for a free game with entertaining, quick matches, you’ve come to the right place.

What you need to know about Marill
Why is it worth it? Marill and its evolution are not particularly interesting for raids. However, if you play PvP (Trainer vs Trainer) or plan to do so in the future, then a strong Marill in your collection is very valuable. In the Super League, Marill along with Galarian Slurpuff leads the field of the strongest attackers.
So try to find Marill today that has good IVs. This way, you already have a solid foundation for your teams in the Super League.
What do you think of the limited research events? Do you think it is cool and a good way to find a strong Marill now, or would you have preferred a different event? Share your opinion with us here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange views with other trainers about the topic.

We talk about the hot shooter Scavengers and the trial of Apple and Epic
The latest episode of the MeinMMO Podcast is here. This week our discussions revolve around the new shooter Scavengers and what is going on in the trial between Apple and Epic.
These are our topics: This week the new battle royale shooter with survival elements called Scavengers launched on Steam. The interest in access keys was high, which is why the developers ultimately let everyone in.
The court case between Apple and Epic Games has begun and provided quite a few laughs. During the hearing, kids shouted “Free Fortnite” and disrupted the proceedings. The head of WoW made a clear statement regarding DPS in his game, and a Twitch streamer has been exaggerating in Diablo 2.
Here are this week’s topics at a glance:
- New shooter Scavengers is too hot for Steam – Now lets everyone in for free and without a key
- Twitch streamer totally exaggerates – Plays Diablo 2 for 4 years to find the Holy Grail
- WoW head has clear message for all players complaining about low damage
- Court accidentally allows calls in Epic vs. Apple trial – Kids shout: “Free Fortnite”
- New gaming desk wants to solve all your problems at the desk at once

What kinds of games are these? The selected games are multiplayer games that you can experience together with friends or random players on the internet. Hood: Outlaws and Legends – Release
Genre: Action-Adventure | Developer: Sumo Digital | Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S | Release Date: May 10, 2021 | Payment Model: Buy2Play
What kind of game is this? Hood: Outlaws and Legends is a PvEvP game. Two teams of 4 players each try to loot a treasure while eliminating NPCs as well as the opposing player group.
A round works as follows:
- You need to steal a key to a treasure chest. But this key is held by a Sheriff who is very strong and can take you out with one blow.
- Once you have the key, you must break into the fortress and find the treasure chest. However, it is located in a different place in each match.
- Lastly, you must escape from the fortress without losing the treasure to the Sheriff and his henchmen or the opposing player group.
The focus of each round is the right tactic and stealth since those who are not detected find it significantly easier. Teams can communicate in voice chat or use signs and markers on the map.
Hood: Outlaws and Legends offers 4 classes at launch. Gameplay-wise, it reminds of a mix between For Honor and Assassin’s Creed. Our colleagues from GamePro also reached this conclusion when presenting the game (via GamePro).
WoW without Multiboxing: Most find it great – you too?
Multiboxing in World of Warcraft is largely a thing of the past. Many players are happy about it – are you too?
Although Blizzard has faced a lot of criticism for a while, most recently due to high prices in Burning Crusade Classic, there has also been good news for many players. A few days ago, Blizzard once again addressed the issue of multiboxing in World of Warcraft. The rules have been tightened and more forms of multiboxing are now banned.
Multiboxing refers to the simultaneous playing of multiple accounts and characters in games like World of Warcraft. This is usually supported by hardware and/or software, allowing multiple characters to perform the same action. For instance, a player could run around with 10 mages simultaneously and almost instantly kill other players in PvP. There are also many advantages in other areas of the game by having multiple characters active at the same time.
What has changed? Already last year, Blizzard took stricter measures and banned a large part of the software used for multiboxing. However, there were still many workarounds that relied on hardware. Now, this has also been clearly prohibited in the terms of service and can lead to penalties such as temporary or permanent bans. The lucrative forms of multiboxing are probably a thing of the past.
Positive sentiment among players: Looking at the official forums, the subreddit, or comments on wowhead, the predominant opinion of players is positive and quite satisfied.
Feronar writes in the WoW subreddit:
In other words, you are no longer allowed to use your Lego, K’nex, or 3D printer constructions to operate multiple keyboards simultaneously.
AdmThrawn says on wowhead:
I am surprised, excited, and happy. All at the same time and that because of Blizzard. Wow …
Syravi sees it a bit more doubtfully:
I’m glad they made this decision, but I fear it will have less effect than many of us hope. By the time it takes to enforce actions against such violations, multiboxers and botters often have made enough money selling gold to profit and afford new accounts. Maybe it will at least limit their efforts, but I don’t believe it will eliminate these players.
While some complain that this rule change comes too late, the overall sentiment remains rather positive.
Not everything is banned: However, some players seem to misunderstand the change. Because Blizzard did not ban all multiboxing with the change, but only that which leads to commands being sent to multiple clients through software or mechanical input aids. Players who actually play their accounts in parallel are not affected.
An example: A player with 5 druids, who has 4 of them on follow with his main character and rides from flower to flower to manually gather the flower 5 times, is still allowed.
The same applies to cases where players have a secondary account for auction house transactions with which they monitor transactions while simultaneously playing other content on the main account.
This is still allowed and complies with the terms of service rules.
Are you satisfied with the new rules? Or should there be even stricter regulations that each player can only use a single account at a time? Feel free to leave your answer in the comments and discuss it vigorously!
