Friday evening is back at the doorstep and everyone in Destiny 2 knows that with it, Xur will also make an appearance. What you can expect this week from the tentacle-faced merchant from a distant place, you will find out here at MeinMMO.
Meanwhile, Bungie released a list of upgrades intended to change many old and new Exotics. Bungie is finally taking care of the beloved former DPS monster “Whisper of the Worm” and polishing it nicely.
All information about Xur on November 11, 2021 – PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia
When does Xur come? Xur will arrive in Destiny 2 exactly at 6:00 PM. He will have set up his camp until Tuesday, November 16, until the weekly reset at 6:00 PM and is looking forward to your visit.
Where is Xur? This is his camp for the weekend
Xur’s location: Xur is located on the tree at the Guardian grave on Nessus.
Xur’s position on Nessus
Xur’s inventory from November 12 to November 16 – All Exotics at a glance
What does Xur have for sale? Like always, Xur has an exotic weapon and armor for all characters, so for Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans. This is his current offer:
Weapon: Suros Regime – Auto rifle for 29 Legendary Shards
Titan: Ashen Wake – Gauntlets for 23 Legendary Shards
The Trials of Osiris on November 12. – Map, Weapons, and Info
Which map is on this week? Bungie announced this week’s Trials map in the TWAB blog post. It is the Endless Vale on Nessus.
A well-known and spacious map
What changes can you expect? Bungie observed the recent Trials and admitted that removing the Flawless pool did not bring about the successes they had hoped for. Hence, this system is returning along with the zone capture mechanic.
The zones on the map will, however, work differently this time. They will not cater to the winning team but will spawn randomly at designated locations. These will rotate throughout the match. Thus, no team will be disadvantaged, and everyone will have the same chances.
You will no longer receive your loot in the Trials of Osiris through three, five, and seven wins, but through:
7 wins
50 rounds
as well as the notorious flawless run
This is the reward for a flawless run: This time, you can expect the linear fusion rifle “Reed’s Regret” in adept in the heavy slot.
If you have obtained your desired weapon, you can focus your Trials engrams on it. On top of that, there are upgrade prisms and ascendant shards. Remember that your rewards will further increase once you have a complete pass – even if you have one or two losses.
When do the Trials start? The Trials start as usual at the daily reset at 6:00 PM.
What do you think of the revamped labs? Will you venture into battle again for glory, honor, and a few Trials engrams? Let us know!

In World of Warcraft, there is a new level boost. For 60 euros, you can completely skip leveling and jump to level 60; behind this lies an extended level boost. Activision Blizzard has already made a lot of money from cash shops in the past.
Quasi “on the side”, while World of Warcraft presented the content of the upcoming patch 9.2, a new offer was also released in the game’s shop. The “level boost” has been updated and now allows players to skip almost all content from Shadowlands.
What kind of boost is this? For 60 €, you can now buy a boost in World of Warcraft that directly elevates a character to the current maximum level 60. This means you don’t have to level in the old world or the current areas of Shadowlands. Instead, you can jump right in at level 60 and skip the – for some players – boring leveling process.
This allows for direct entry into the endgame, meaning the covenant campaigns, Torghast, Korthia, or group activities like Mythic+, raids, or PvP.
Why is the boost coming now? That Blizzard sells boosts in World of Warcraft is nothing new. In earlier expansions, it has been possible to elevate a character directly to the current maximum level. Typically, this boost would only come with the last patch of the current expansion and not prior to that.
Why Blizzard is raising the boost so early this time is open to speculation. The community has two theories, both of which could be true at the same time:
WoW wants to make entry easier and enable a catch-up to the current endgame quickly.
The boost is intended to increase the revenue of World of Warcraft in the current quarter.
Is the boost worth it? Whether skipping the leveling phase is worth a hefty 60 € is something everyone will have to decide for themselves. Leveling a new character typically only takes a few evenings – those who have sufficient free time should save the money. For those who cannot muster the motivation to complete all the quests again, the boost could indeed be worthwhile.
However, keep in mind: Next week, WoW will celebrate its 17th birthday. Traditionally, there is a 17% XP boost that is active throughout the entire event. This greatly accelerates leveling and could provide enough incentive for many to level “by hand” instead.
More current news about World of Warcraft can be found here:
It is also important to know that the level boost does not work to unlock the legacy armors of allied races (such as Void Elves or Zandalari Trolls). You will only obtain these armors if you level the character without a boost.
Activision Blizzard fully relies on cash shop instead of new games
While new games at Blizzard, such as Overwatch 2 or Diablo IV, have been pushed back, microtransactions in games like Call of Duty: Warzone or indeed World of Warcraft are apparently becoming increasingly popular.
Are you going to take advantage of the level boost? Do you prefer to level the traditional way – or not at all if it’s not fun?

The fashion magazine of Destiny 2 “Threads of Light” is a cool idea in itself. It was supposed to appreciate and promote the fashion awareness of players. However, this has now backfired significantly. The community finds the developer’s fashion sense simply atrocious after only two issues.
“Threads of Light” is the digital fashion magazine of Destiny 2. It released its second cover with new looks earlier this week. However, fashion and excellent taste are no joke for Destiny 2 players. Bungie had to learn this the hard way when the Guardians no longer wanted to share the developer’s sense of style.
Destiny 2 players criticize Bungie’s fashion choices: After the reveal of the latest cover stars, a storm of outrage broke out. This went so far that not only Bungie directly but also the featured players, Vanquish, Twisty, and Dawsonson, felt the full brunt of the community’s displeasure.
After the announcement of who graces the cover this issue, Destiny 2 player Ash asked on Twitter:
[…] It’s a fashion competition. Why on earth are players who look like they’ve just started the game and thrown on their highest light armor showcased in a FASHION magazine?
ToxicNipples then speculated about Bungie’s selection criteria:
So basically, you dress your Guardian like a clown and Bungie picks you? Caught!
The question of what criteria Bungie uses to select the winning looks has always been a topic of discussion. “Is there a shooting range where they throw all these submissions in and someone from Bungie just keeps shooting at screenshots?” asks KatNPP the developers.
Surely Bungie doesn’t make it easy for players to assemble cool looks. So far, participants have always tried to make the best of it, even if not all armors were well received in the community.
This taste in fashion has always been questionable
Players have long felt that Bungie doesn’t always hit the nail on the head regarding fashion. Surely, there are some really cool armors in the game, no question. But sometimes Bungie has interesting “taste deviations,” where players wonder what absurd idea led the developer to implement something like this.
These armors are very special:
The best examples of quirky armor designs in Destiny 2.
After so much complaining, Bungie had enough: After these comments, things got increasingly rude, and this did not sit well with the studio at all. An opinion is an opinion and should be able to be expressed. However, many comments were personal attacks against the winners and therefore disrespectful. Ultimately, Bungie community manager Griffin Bennet responded with his own tweet.

He made it clear that the Destiny 2 community had gone too far. If the community continues to be so toxic and negative and unjustly attacks other players, it would be better to stop participating in the fashion magazine altogether.
Surely, “fashion is art. Taste is subjective.” But he also appealed for players to question their comments: “Imagine you come across in the responses and someone insults your art. Ridiculously inappropriate.”
The winners of the second issue “Threads of Light”
What was the community’s reaction? The wake-up call actually had an impact. Many commentators added to their statements or later apologized to the winners for their personal attacks. It was disrespectful to forget the time and personal effort the players put into their looks.
What does the future of Threads of Light look like? It was certainly a harsh statement to consider stopping the entire concept of the Destiny 2 fashion magazine due to such inappropriate comments. However, it is also understandable that Bungie hesitates to continue a project that attracts so much criticism. Who wants to participate in a contest where winning means being mocked by hundreds of Destiny 2 players?
At the moment, it seems that the developer is not considering giving up the magazine option anytime soon. “It has definitely improved since I made my comment. Great to see,” Griffin Bennet later added to his critique.
If this doesn’t deter you, you can of course continue to join the action and send your looks to Bungie. To participate, post a shot of your Guardian’s look on Instagram or Twitter and use the hashtag #ThreadsOfLight. Don’t forget to tag @DestinyTheGame in your posting.
Let’s hope that the Destiny community takes something from this and becomes a bit more tactful in its criticism. Because many players enjoy showcasing their Guardians in this “true endgame of Destiny 2“. The community posts countless new looks daily. Alone in the r/DestinyFashion subreddit, you can see many new submissions for the magazine cover. And it should remain so in the future.
What is your opinion on the competition? Was the criticism justified, or do you say that is art and it is always in the eye of the beholder? Was Bungie’s reaction too harsh?

Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone could soon be visited by Captain America and Indiana Jones. At least, if a leak is to be believed, which predicts the arrival of these two Disney heroes. MeinMMO editor Jürgen Horn hopes that the leak is true, as the two characters fit perfectly into the setting of Vanguard.
What kind of leak is this? The data miner ModenasHD is currently making waves by releasing two images that show the film heroes Captain America and Indiana Jones as artworks in CoD Vanguard.
There should also be a calling card featuring Captain America. Does that mean that the two heroes, each from franchises owned by Disney, will soon be visible in the multiplayer mode of Vanguard and thus also in the new Pacific Warzone?
Start video
Everything you need to know about the new Call of Duty: Vanguard – in 2 minutes
Partnership with Disney could bring Captain America and Indiana Jones into the game
How likely is it? The two posters, which show Cap in contemporary clothing and Indy bashing Nazis, are apparently not from the game, but fan artworks. The status of the calling card is still unclear. Is the leak ultimately a fake?
This contradicts a statement from top leaker Tom Henderson. He is considered highly informed and has predicted many significant events in CoD games, including the entire Warzone.
According to Henderson, there were indeed discussions between Activision and Disney in the summer of 2021: Indy and Captain America could therefore come into the game in the “near future”.

Why would the two fit so well into the game? As strange as it may seem at first, I believe the two characters fit perfectly into the game. Vanguard portrays a very specific picture of World War II in the campaign.
The game moves away from serious war stories and shows much more of a classic war movie plot, bursting with clichés and tropes. Thus, Indy and Cap fit perfectly in, as in their respective films, Nazis are also the bitterly evil villains and faceless hordes of cannon fodder, solely there to be spectacularly beaten up and taken down by the heroes.
The main villain of the campaign, SS General Freisinger, even bears a certain resemblance to Red Skull, Captain America’s arch-nemesis. And Indy would fit perfectly into the maps in the North African desert.
Therefore, I sincerely hope that Henderson’s leak is indeed true and that I will soon field Cap or Indy as skin variants in Vanguard or Warzone. As a basis for Cap, I could well imagine the operator Wade, who comes from the same area as Steve Rogers aka Captain America.
MeinMMO demon Cortyn took a look at Arcane and is deeply moved – but also angry. Because Riot “just does” what other companies fail to do.
I never really could do anything with League of Legends. I completely missed the entry into the MOBA. Years later, when I wanted to give the game a chance, the champion “Vi” had just been released. After a friend and I were insulted multiple times in our first 3 games and were wished all sorts of accidents or presented very specific plans for our mothers’ evening arrangements, I never touched the game again – but started the launcher a few more times to listen to Vi’s cool soundtrack.
Sure, you somehow caught a glimpse of the various characters in LoL. The videos for the LoL World Championship, the songs from K/DA , and also the Jinx trailer. But that was it in terms of touchpoints.
When it was announced that a series about League of Legends would be on Netflix, I was skeptical. Series and films about video games have a bad reputation, even though Witcher managed to break that for me. Nevertheless, LoL always seemed colorful and outlandish to me. The characters all seemed so wildly mixed at first glance that they could never exist in the same world.
But I gave the series “Arcane” a chance because I am generally open to new things.
And what can I say? The series completely swept me away, even though it was only the first 3 episodes.
Nothing seemed rushed. The series takes its time to introduce the characters, allows enough room for world building, without breaking the mystique and getting lost in unnecessary details.
Added to that is the entire style of animation, which in this extent and level of detail is simply from another planet. Other developers might manage to create a teaser or trailer in this quality – but never an entire series.
But the most important point for me: Every single character acts logically comprehensible.
Anyone who cannot empathize with Powder is no human. No discussion.
In almost all other series (or even the story of games), there comes a point sooner or later where I have to roll my eyes. A moment where a character suddenly falls out of line and does something unconsidered or simply stupid to maneuver the story into a certain corner.
Arcane did not have that. I liked every character unconditionally and found all motives completely understandable.
The enforcer Greyson, who – slightly corrupt – makes a deal with the slums to prevent war.
Violet, who wants to prove herself and create a better world for Powder, but cannot really weigh risks and benefits well.
Powder, who lives in the shadow of her sister and keeps failing but does not give up.
Mel Medarda, who seeks the “next big thing” in the boredom of her limitless wealth to advance the city and simply experience some excitement.
Jayce, who strives to harness this power after a miraculous rescue by a magician.
I could continue the list forever. Every single character acts comprehensibly, authentically and – measured against what the series shows us – completely logically.
I cheered for the characters, empathized with them, and by the end of episode 3, I was somewhere between incredulous and thrilled, with tears in my eyes. Not only because the plot became increasingly oppressive and dramatic towards the end, but also because I knew: A piece of video game history is being written right now. This is a film adaptation at a level that simply has not existed before.

In the podcast: The studio behind League of Legends, Riot, is becoming the new Blizzard
Add to that, of course, the masterful release strategy. Instead of releasing one episode each week, Arcane drops 3 episodes at a time that each tell an entire act. This is much more satisfying than ending each week on a cliffhanger.
The “around it” is also grand. There are music videos with original scenes, and the entire soundtrack is now available. You can guess what has been playing on repeat for me for days.
You can find more news about Arcane in these articles:
I continued to think about the series for a long time afterward. About the characters, the plot, the structure, and the fact that one could understand all of this perfectly well without ever having played or seen LoL (properly).
But then the question inevitably came up: Why can’t others do that?
My first thought was: Why can League of Legends do what Warcraft cannot? Why is Riot able to create an absolutely fantastic series based on a game that doesn’t even need a story in its premise? How can a company that essentially created a “Our champions run in 3 lanes against your champions” game whip up such well thought-out and good story for a series, while my long-time favorite company hasn’t even managed to tell a story in the game in recent years that a newcomer can follow at least in part?
Anyone who does not consult all the sources in the Warcraft universe – books, cinematics, comics – has no chance of understanding the world in any way.
Even when comparing Arcane with the Warcraft movie, Blizzard’s implementation simply comes off poorly.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked the Warcraft movie for what it wanted to be. But in direct comparison to Arcane, it was simply a bad joke.
The Warcraft movie was “okay” – but loses against Arcane on every level.
For years I have been waiting for Blizzard to create something comparable for Warcraft, Diablo or Overwatch . A series where there is enough time to focus on details, fall in love with individual characters, and also tell a coherent, grand story.
Arcane is probably the best thing I have seen on Netflix so far. I am damn glad that I saw the first act and am looking forward to the rest of the episodes. I want to know what happens next, want to learn more about the characters and the world.
Why did League of Legends “just” whip up one of the best series, while World of Warcraft only managed to create an “okay” movie that didn’t really satisfy anyone?
I hope more big game developers will take the step to create a high-quality series. Because Arcane almost made me want to actually play League of Legends again to get to know all the characters. The interest in the universe has been awakened. The potential to gain new players with such series is huge – let alone what such a series can generate in terms of revenue.
I want more of that. Especially from Arcane. But maybe others will take a cue from how to create really strong video game series that will stay in memory for years.

In the new MMORPG New World, you are not bound to classes and fixed attributes. You can freely distribute both skills and attribute points. But what to do if you have misallocated points? We at MeinMMO are here to help you.
How do weapon skills work in New World? If you use a weapon, you level it up. You gain experience for weapons involved in each kill.
This way, you level your weapons from level 1 to a maximum of level 20. For each level, you get one point that you can spend on a skill in one of the two skill trees for each weapon.
New World gives you many opportunities to experiment, as resetting and reallocating these points is free up to weapon level 11.
How can I respec a weapon? To reallocate the points you spent on a weapon, just follow this guide and respec:
Navigate to the weapon menu, optionally using the hotkey K
Select the weapon you want to respec
Under the two skill trees, you will find the button “Change values”
A pop-up will appear asking if you really want to respec
Confirm it with “Yes” and you can reallocate your earned points
Until weapon level 10, this is free. From level 11, you will pay an increasing amount of Azoth to respec the weapon skills.
Resetting points from level 11 is no longer free, but still very inexpensive
When can you respec? No specific level requirement is needed. Theoretically, you can redistribute the first point multiple times.
You can also do this almost anywhere in the world and at nearly any time. Only while a skill of yours is still on cooldown and in the middle of a fight is it not possible to reset the points.
Resetting attributes – Here’s how
How do attributes work in New World? For every level you rise in the new MMORPG, you receive attribute points. The higher you level up, the more points you can distribute for each level-up.
You can then choose to distribute these points to
Strength,
Dexterity,
Intelligence,
Focus
or Constitution
and thereby specialize further.
But what if you want to use a different weapon that suddenly requires different values? Then you need to reset your attribute points.
How can I respec attributes? Follow this guide to quickly and easily respec your attributes:
Open the attributes tab, optionally using the hotkey K
Then go down to the button “Change values”
A pop-up will appear that you must confirm with “Yes”
You can then redistribute all previously earned points
Respeccing attributes costs you Talers starting from level 21 and no Azoth
Unlike with weapons, resetting attributes is free, depending on how high your character is. It is free up to character level 20, and from level 21 it becomes expensive.
However, it only costs gold and no Azoth. The amount required for respec increases the more points you have already used in total.
When can you respec? Here too, you don’t need any level requirement. You can reset your attributes anytime as long as you are not in combat.
How often have you reset your points? Do you want to respec and have you refrained from it so far? Do you find the costs for respec justified? Feel free to let us know in the comments here at MeinMMO.

In a blog post, the developers introduced the first major update of New World. This brings many new content, a PTR server, and some “Quality of Life” changes that were already announced beforehand. We at MeinMMO summarize everything important for you.
Update November 12: As now confirmed in the forum, the major update will be released next week. However, there is no specific date yet.
We wanted to provide a brief status update for our weekly patch. At this time, we have decided to postpone the release to next week and instead release all changes along with the major November update planned for next week.
Another novelty is the test server (PTR), which will be introduced with the new patch. This is a separate client where future updates can be tested. All owners of New World will find access to the PTR in their game library in the future.
When will the patch be released? The patch will be released on the PTR starting November 10 at 21:00 German time.
There is still no concrete release date for the main game. However, the update has been announced as the first “major patch in November.” This suggests that the update will be released later this month.
What kind of new weapon is this? The Void Gauntlet is a magical weapon, comparable to the Ice Gauntlet. According to the official description, it is meant to represent a mix of DPS and support.
The weapon scales with the attributes Intelligence and Focus, making it useful in combination with the Life Staff or other magical weapons.
As usual, there will be two skill trees and three abilities for each tree:
The “Annihilation” tree focuses on maximizing damage in close combat and revolves around the Void Blade, a summoned blade of decaying void energy.
The Decay tree offers ranged healing and debuffs and revolves around the Sphere of Decay, a two-phase projectile that can weaken enemies and heal allies.
The abilities of the weapon were already found in the beta during data mining. So far, everything indicates that the leak has correctly predicted the abilities (via gyazo).
New World – This is how the new Void Gauntlet was teased.
What do we know about the new enemies? The Varangian Hunters come from the north and try to establish themselves in the areas of First Light, Kingscrest, and Everfall. New camps have been set up there by them.
Due to their location in beginner areas, even low-level players can challenge the new enemies. Correspondingly, there is a new quest that you can accept from Abigail Rose in the west of Everfall.
Additionally, new enemy models have been announced to replace some old foes. These models are: ragged swarm mages, beetles, the Lost shaman, the pirate alligator, the ancients’ fire mage, and improved corrupted workers.
This screenshot of the Varangian Hunters was already shared by New World.
What do the three new faction missions look like? The new missions were presented as follows:
Control Points – In these missions, you must take control of fortifications.
Intercept – Defeat enemy faction members and collect their tears.
War Camp Loot – Find hidden plans in the enemy war camp.
What do you think of the first major update? Are the changes so far appealing to you? And will you try the PTR to provide feedback to the developers?
Just recently, the developers commented on fan requests such as mounts or full loot:
In League of Legends, the owner and head of the largest LoL team Team SoloMid is currently under heavy criticism. Andy “Reginald” Dinh (29) has been leading TSM since 2009 and turned the team into a business power. But now criticism of his leadership methods is emerging.
This is Reginald’s career:
In 2009, Reginald founded the website Solomid.net together with his brother for League of Legends: Here, there were already early guides in the early phase of LoL.
From 2011, a professional team formed around the site. It was then called Team SoloMid (TSM). Reginald himself played in the midlane of the team.
Pro speaks out against Reginald, gets fired, continues
What sparked the criticism against Reginald? The trigger for the criticism against Reginald is a publicly held dispute with former professional player and TSM streamer, Doublelift. He is considered one of the most influential players in American League of Legends history. He was an 8-time LCS champion, 4 of those times with TSM.
Doublelift said in a stream that he hates TSM, mainly because of Reginald. He apparently felt mistreated and sidelined by Reginald.
Reginald then expressed criticism of Doublelift himself. He stated that while Doublelift is a great player, he is difficult to deal with. He can never make up his mind, hardly anyone likes to work with him, and Doublelift constantly flames people publicly when he doesn’t like something. Therefore, he will be let go.
Doublelift calls Reginald a “bully” who constantly tyrannizes his players
This is what Doublelift said about Reginald: After his dismissal, Doublelift really went off. Doublelift called Reginald a “bully”, a schoolyard thug who suppresses the weak:
“People don’t like working with him. He is like a bully who gets away with being a bad person because he is powerful, because people are afraid to confront him, and I am really fed up with it.”
Doublelift
Doublelift claims that Reginald lacks decency and respect for other people. Over time, he has made many LoL professionals who were at TSM cry.
“You’d be damn surprised if you knew how many of your favorite players in the LCS really had a breakdown because they were treated so badly – how harshly they were verbally attacked.”
Players find ancient evidence for Doublelift’s accusations
How was the criticism received? The community has intensely dealt with Doublelift’s accusations and has found some video clips in which Reginald has harassed a player in a way that matches Doublelift’s description.
But cvMax is also said to be overly ambitious and to have mistreated people working for him if they did not meet the expected performance:
The two most well-known clips are already 8 years old:
There is a scene from 2013 where Reginald annoys and provokes the then Top laner of TSM, Dyrus, until he explodes (via youtube).
In another scene from 2013, TSM is seen driving home from a defeat in a car. Reginald seems to blame the player Wildturtle for their defeat. However, he does not speak to Wildturtle but addresses the driver, while next to him WildTurtle silently endures everything (via youtube).
In a more recent example from 2020, jungler Akaadian explains that he has retained “post-traumatic stress syndrome” from his time at TSM because Reginald made such harsh criticisms of him that it shook his self-confidence. Akaadian played for the club in 2019 (via youtube).
There is currently a lot of criticism of Reginald for things he did in 2013.
This is how it’s being discussed: On reddit, this is a big topic. Users say they also see Doublelift critically but join in the criticism of Reginald. He has always been difficult since the early days of LoL – but over the years he has learned to hide it better. At some point, people forgot how bad he used to be – but apparently he hasn’t changed at all.
There is much, and sometimes ugly criticism of Reginald:
It is said that as a player he was already terrible. The worst professional LoL has ever had.
People are not fans of Reginald, but fans of TSM despite Reginald.
Especially the Dyrus video concerns many, as Dyrus is considered one of the most beloved and kindest LoL players of all time.
Of all people, the “victims” defend him
Are there also people defending Reginald? Surprisingly, it is the people who appeared in the videos from 8 years ago who are speaking out for Reginald.
Wildturtle says, for example, that he never perceived Reginald as such a “verbal abuser” but rather as a passionate owner who wants his players to perform. Reginald has apologized to him, and Wildturtle now considers him a good friend.

Also, Dyrus mentioned that Reginald is extremely ambitious and that the line between personal and professional is often blurred. However, there were only a few outbursts, like the video from 8 years ago with the keyboard.
Many of the early eSports teams failed because they treated and paid their players terribly. Reginald was always different and did everything for it.
Today they are friends (via twitter). Dyrus urges people not to judge others solely on their worst moments.
What doesn’t sit well with Doublelift is again that former players are now defending their boss. He calls it “disgusting”; they shouldn’t be surprised if fewer people speak out against the people who abuse them.

Reginald is extremely successful in LoL and has built a great organization over the years. His case reminds one of the Korean coach cvMax: He also worked incredibly successfully in LoL and formed two teams out of nothing that made it to Worlds.
But cvMax is also said to be overly ambitious and to have mistreated people working for him if they did not meet the expected performance:
Lineage 2M is an MMORPG for PC, Android, and iOS. The game celebrated huge successes in Korea and is among the top-grossing MMORPGs there. In December 2021, Lineage 2M will also come to us in the West. MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch tried out the beta as part of Find Your Next Game.
What kind of game is this? Lineage is one of the most successful MMORPG franchises worldwide. The first part was released in 1998, is still being developed today, and is a cult classic in Korea. Lineage 2M was released in 2019 and primarily aimed to impress with beautiful 3D graphics.
You play a character from a third-person perspective and experience a story driven by quests:
There are 5 different races, but they are gender-locked.
You choose from 6 classes at the start, with multiple subclasses available later. You can also completely change your class as you progress through the game.
The world is completely open, and loading screens only appear when traveling from one location to another.
Thanks to the special technology, up to 10,000 players should be able to play together or against each other in PvP. However, we could not verify this in the test.
When will the game be released for us? On December 2nd, Lineage 2M will celebrate its release here in the West. You can play it on your smartphone or via the Purple program on PC. We tested the beta on PC and will give you a closer look at the MMORPG.
About the Author: Alexander Leitsch is the MMORPG expert at MeinMMO and regularly plays new games. This year alone, there have already been impressions of New World, Bless Unleashed, and Swords of Legends Online.
From the Lineage series, he has already played the second part, which was released as a PC game in the West, as well as the mobile game Lineage M. He spent around 5 hours engaging with Lineage 2M.
A weak start, but graphics and sound can impress
Those starting with Lineage 2M will be immediately surprised by several negative points. Besides the fact that the different races are bound to a fixed gender, there is also no character editor. Visually, all players initially look the same.
Moreover, the game offers autoplay, even though there are clear limitations:
Your character can automatically walk to the quest location by clicking
Your character can automatically fight at the quest location
Your character automatically uses potions when health points drop too low
However, quests are not automatically accepted and turned in
Additionally, there are no XP for grinding mobs, only for quests. You will have to play yourself.
It is surprising that there are no real quest indicators. So, if you only read quest texts or look for markers on the map, you won’t get directly to the goal. However, by clicking on the quest, you immediately start moving, which leads to an indirect forced autoplay.
Furthermore, the MMORPG relies on the typical markers in the tutorial, where the entire game is darkened, and only the part that the game wants to explain right now is clickable. I fundamentally find this mechanic annoying.
Hiding all other content in the tutorial is a terribly bad habit of some MMORPGs.
The quests at the start are typical fetch and kill quests, as seen in almost all MMORPGs. Thanks to the autoplay, this brings a typical mobile character vibe that everyone knows from playing an autoplay MMORPG on their smartphone.
However, Lineage 2M already has good aspects right from the start and impresses with strong graphics, especially considering that it is primarily a mobile game.
The character’s movements are fluid, and the animations for attacks and skills fit the combat situation. Additionally, the attacks feel impactful at least at times, such as when projectiles from skills slightly knock back the enemy. Here, Lineage 2M has a lot to offer compared to other mobile games.
Even the sound exceeds my expectations. The combat sounds are fitting, and the music changes depending on the area. This provides variety. The sound effects of waterfalls or the sound of the sea in the cutscene with the ship are also well done.
The English voice-overs for the quests will not blow you away, but at least you can tell that professional voice actors were involved.
In the UI, it is clear that Lineage 2M is a mobile game. However, it offers a skills bar that allows for more skills than is typical in other mobile MMORPGs. That at least is a small consolation.
It is also odd that the PC version occasionally switches to a standby screen to save battery. This naturally seems quite bizarre:
If you don’t play for a while, you switch to power save mode, even on PC.
When it comes to fighting, I was mainly on autoplay. However, the game offers about 30 active and passive skills per main class. In the first 25 levels, fighting yourself was not necessary at all, which is a bit unfortunate.
But if you want to fight yourself, you can move with WASD or the left mouse button and perform an auto-attack with a right-click. You activate the skills using the keys 1-9 by default.
If you want to get a first glimpse of the gameplay, you can watch my first 50 minutes in the MMORPG in this video:

Deep progression for players who survive the first hours
Lineage 2M offers many typical MMO systems. You level up, experience quests, can enter dungeons via a dungeon finder, and fight bosses in the open world. You will also encounter various PvP arenas, a global auction house, and a daily login reward, which is common in Korean MMORPGs.
Additionally, the MMORPG has a fairly simple crafting system. You break down old equipment to gain materials. You can then combine these, along with some gold, into a new item. There is no tree cutting or mining in this MMORPG.
However, those who spend more time with Lineage 2M will discover some interesting content.
There is a set system that grants you bonus stats when you combine certain pieces of armor and weapons. This at least excites the collector in me since I want to find the specific pieces to complete a set.
Another highlight is collecting and upgrading pets. You can earn chests in the game from which pets can come out. They have different passive effects and can also be improved when you collect multiple of them. Again, the collector in me is tickled.
The various pets have awakened the collector in me.
Another pleasant surprise was the class system. Because whoever chooses a class at the beginning can later change it if you have collected the right cards.
Class cards come in normal, rare, unique, epic, and legendary levels. The selection is large, as there are 26 different epic classes alone. As I understand it, the classes fundamentally belong to the respective main class and also use its abilities. However, the attributes are adjusted, and there is a slightly different playstyle.
If you happen to get a strong class card at the start, you can switch immediately. This happened to me in the video with a unique class, the Blade Muse.
You will also unlock some cards suitable for your class through progress in the game itself.
Dozens of classes with different attributes are available to you.
Really cool is the fact that Lineage 2M can really handle hundreds of players at one location. Although not that many players were active at the same time during the beta test, Korean videos on YouTube show that hundreds of players often appear for world bosses, giving a true MMO feel.
However, I view the equipment enhancement system negatively. There are special scrolls that improve the equipment. However, from a certain level, it can happen that the equipment is completely destroyed in the process.
I have already criticized this system in MMORPGs like Black Desert or Elyon and find it not good here in Lineage 2M either.
What about the shop? The shop could unfortunately not be tested in the beta.
In the Korean version, which I also installed, there are chests where you can find class cards and pets. This somewhat diminishes the collecting aspect. However, some chests can also be bought with in-game currency.
There are also XP boosters available in the shop.
I understand the hype around Lineage 2M in Korea, but it’s not my game
Pros
Cool class system with a lot of variety
Good graphics with fitting combat animations
Successful sound
Many interesting game systems that excite the collector in me
Hundreds of players possible at big world bosses and in PvP
Cons
Generic quests
Much autoplay that is even a bit forced
Equipment can be destroyed during enhancement
Possible Pay2Win in the shop
Lineage 2M appears in the first minutes as a classic mobile MMORPG with autoplay and little depth. However, those who engage with the game for longer will find some exciting systems, including the many different classes that can constantly be changed.
Moreover, the MMORPG awakens the collector in me. I can complete sets, collect pets, and of course try to unlock all classes. The game also impresses with strong graphics for smartphones and good sound.
Taking the positive aspects together, I can fully understand why this game is experiencing a hype in Korea. It simply outshines many other mobile MMORPGs and is also part of the Lineage universe, which is simply huge in Korea.
However, to this day, I cannot get used to autoplay and the destructible equipment. I do not understand why I should play an MMORPG that plays itself and forces me to grind more just because of “bad luck.” However, anyone looking for a new mobile game should definitely give Lineage 2M a chance in December.

Last week, the MMORPG Lost Ark conducted a beta test that random applicants and founders could participate in. How did you like it?
On November 4, Lost Ark started its Closed Beta, allowing many interested players to try out the MMORPG for the first time since the announcement. The beta keys were either given randomly through the participation registration, through drops on Twitch, through giveaways, or, if you were particularly excited about the MMORPG, through the founder packs.
There was also an alpha test, but it was brief and the number of participants was severely limited. However, a large number of fans were able to extensively test the game over a week, many of them for the first time.
What you could test: The content of the beta was numerous and widely distributed:
The complete campaign of Lost Ark up to level 50
All available classes in the EU version
With the Power Pass, you could also quickly reach the endgame of Lost Ark and try out the content yourself
So there was plenty to do in the week, and many fans invested several dozen hours of gameplay into the beta test.
Additionally, there were some changes compared to the alpha test. Now, all classes share the same prologue, which they must play through to become familiar with the gameplay mechanics of the MMORPG. Originally, each base class had its own backstory. These have now been merged into a single prologue.
What was your impression of the test?
How you can vote: You can cast your vote in the survey tool below. Each of you can vote exactly once, and the vote cannot be undone.
Then let us know: What are your impressions from the beta test? Was it your first time in Lost Ark or had you played it before (for example on Russian servers)? How did you find the changes in the European version? Which classes did you try out? Let us know in the comments.
When will Lost Ark be released? There is currently no exact release date. After the delay from autumn 2021 to the first quarter of 2022, Amazon has not yet commented on a date.

Genshin Impact will introduce a new mechanic in Patch 2.3. This mainly affects the character reruns and the gacha banner mechanics. MeinMMO reveals what’s behind it.
How does the gacha system work now? Normally, there were a maximum of 3 gacha banners per patch:
Wanderlust Banner (Standard Wish),
Weapon Event Wish,
and the Character Event Wish.
The Character Event Wish and Weapon Event Wish swap content every 3 weeks. New characters and weapons can appear, or previous characters and weapons get a rerun – meaning they appear again.
What is supposed to change? The official livestream in Genshin Impact reported that starting from Patch 2.3, a 4th banner should be added if the timing is right. The pages in the gacha system should then look like this:
Wanderlust Banner
Weapon Event Wish
Character Event Wish
Rerun Banner
The Rerun Banner is the new feature that should be released periodically. It remains unknown whether each time a character gets a rerun in the Character Event Wish, the Rerun Banner will introduce a 2nd rerun character.
In Patch 2.3, there will be 2 reruns: Albedo and Eula.
Typical view of the current banners
This is how the mechanics behind the new banner work
If you want to pull a character from the Character Event Wish, you build what is called a Pity. This means you are guaranteed to receive a 5-star hero after a maximum of 90 pulls. However, it can happen that you receive a character that is not advertised in the Character Event Wish.
Then you lose your 50/50 chance, but in the following pulls, you are guaranteed to get the advertised 5-star character from the Character Event Wish.
The Pity of the Character Event Wish is not shared with the others.
But the Rerun Banner will share the Pity with that of the Character Event Wish. You can, for instance, pull from the banner of the Character Event Wish to obtain the 4-star heroes from it and build your Pity.
If you notice that you are close to the 5-star character of the Character Event Wish, but you want the 5-star character from the Rerun Banner, you can switch there and take advantage of your increased chance.
However, it is still unclear whether you can only obtain the Rerun character or if you also have a 50/50 chance, as with the normal Character Event Wish.
This is what the banner overview would look like when a new banner is added with each character rerun:
1st page: Character Event Wish
2nd page: Rerun character, not included in the Character Event Wish
While some admire the change as an advantage to see previously released characters more often than is currently the case, others are concerned that they will have trouble saving their Primogems properly.
At present, heroes that were available in 2020 are only now getting their rerun, near the end of 2021. Thus, some players had to wait almost a year for a chance to obtain their favorite.
The chance that a character will appear in banners again more quickly is therefore significantly higher than without the additional Rerun Banner.
This is what the community says about it:
I think the new banner system is an improvement. With a completely separate banner focused only on reruns, this means there will be a rotation of limited 5-star characters every patch. This means you won’t have to wonder for 10 months or more whether a certain character will return.
Great, now even less time to save. It would have been better if there had been a banner for new characters and one for rerun characters that are available throughout the entire patch. 3 characters at the same time is too much. At least give us more Primogems.
Patch 9.2 of World of Warcraft was introduced – and there is a lot of criticism. The forums are overflowing with memes and negative headlines.
Yesterday, Blizzard presented the next major update of World of Warcraft. The Patch 9.2 titled “The End of Eternity” brings a whole series of changes that were introduced in the video or at least teased. This was accompanied by statements from the developers explaining the development process.
However, there is a lot of mockery and ridicule on the World of Warcraft subreddit. Numerous memes and discussions make it clear: Patch 9.2 is not to everyone’s taste, and what the developers say is even less so.
We would like to briefly present the main points of contention.
Zereth Mortis does not look alien enough
The new area “Zereth Mortis” was described by the developers as alien. Like something you have simply never seen before. Various things were described such as water that you can walk on or strange flying stones and trees. Even though these were just examples, all of this has already been seen in World of Warcraft. Nagrand consisted of flying rocks and trees, and water that you can walk on was already present in Bastion.
This leads to memes like this one:

There is also a lot of support for a Reddit thread that has now received over 5,000 upvotes, titled “‘The Final Chapter’, ‘Tying Up Threads’, ‘3-Act Drama’ and other jokes you can tell yourself”.
The developers claimed in the video that with Patch 9.2, a story that has already been told in Warcraft III is coming to an end. They give the impression that it was already planned back in the days of Warcraft III to make the Jailer appear.
However, many players doubt that. For most, “Legion” was the expansion that concluded a story – namely that of the Burning Legion.

Since the moment I started Warcraft III, I wanted to finally challenge the secret bad guy who was secretly behind the Lich King and whom we didn’t even know about. No, not Sargeras, but the guy who is even more secret and was so secret that even the story writers didn’t know him 20 years ago.
Much more drastically, kamsheen writes:
It makes me mad when people treat me like an idiot. It makes me even angrier when the people who try to do that are idiots themselves.
Old skeletons and new skins
Another point of criticism is the design of the creatures in Zereth Mortis. They are basically all just familiar beings using old “skeletons” that have been in the game for a long time. The actual textures may be new, but in some cases, they’re just recolors. This angers some players, as they expected completely new creatures that they do not already know.
However, players also note that it makes sense for Zereth Mortis to mainly feature familiar forms. After all, Zereth Mortis is the place where all the realms of the Shadowlands were created. The beings here are essentially the prototypes from which the realms of Shadowlands were later shaped. So it only makes sense and is logical that the creatures bear a strong resemblance to already known creatures.
Tier sets “requested by the developers”
Many appreciate the return of tier sets, but not what the developers say about it. According to the developers, “players have long wished for the return of tier sets. We as developers are also, which is why we are excited to bring them back in Patch 9.2.”
However, some players note that this cannot be true. After all, the tier sets were discontinued because they simply had no design ideas left after over 20 different variants of class sets.
On one hand, this is understandable, because after answering the question “What should a well-equipped mage in WoW look like” for the 20th time, the concept really becomes a bit more challenging. Yet, the developers now claiming that they have long been looking forward to the tier sets, when they were the ones who banished these sets from the game, is displeasing to many.
For more news about World of Warcraft, click here:
What else is being criticized? A whole lot. The community is also upset about many smaller things and has written many topics:
The tier sets are not well-received. The first impression is that the sets are just upgraded versions of the Kyrian sets and do not match their concept art.

The fact that no new dungeon is being introduced also bothers some players.
Many doubt that Patch 9.2 was really always planned as the last patch, even if Blizzard is now selling it that way.
The cipher system looks to many like the same time-gating that they did not like before.
Of course, this is – as is usual on Reddit – only the loud part of the player base. Whether this disappointment applies to the broader audience will likely become clearer in the coming weeks and months.
What do you think of Patch 9.2 and what has been revealed so far?

In Call of Duty: Vanguard, Activision Blizzard has apologized for a detail in the game. Users in the Arab-speaking community noticed that pages of the Quran were lying on the ground of a zombie map. Some were smeared with blood. Activision Blizzard says: “That should not have happened.”
This sparked the discussion: An Arabic-speaking user shared 4 screenshots from Call of Duty: Vanguard on Twitter. When a player walks through Stalingrad on a zombie map, some pages of the Quran can be seen on the ground, partially smeared with blood. The Quran is the holy book of Islam.
The user says in Arabic: “Brothers, I see pages of the Quran on the ground of the zombie map and see that it should be removed as soon as possible if it is right.” (Translation by Google Translate).

Activision Blizzard removes representation of the Quran
This is Activision Blizzard’s response: In a statement to Dexerto, Activision Blizzard apologized for the depiction. There had been a lack of sensitivity.
According to Activision Blizzard, the pages have now been removed.
“Call of Duty is meant for everyone. In the past week, content that was insensitive to the Muslim community was accidentally included. The content has now been removed from the game. It should never have appeared in the game in that way. We sincerely apologize. We will take immediate internal steps to ensure that this does not happen again in the future.”
Activision Blizzard
An apology was also published through an account directed at players of Call of Duty in the Middle East (via twitter).
This is the discussion: On Twitter, a user asked with interest why this is such a big issue.
A user then explains to him that for Muslims, the holy Quran is the word of the Creator. They are holy words that should not be desecrated by simply lying on the ground and being stepped on.
The Portal Mode is one of three major parts of the multiplayer of Battlefield 2042. MeinMMO summarizes the most important information about the game mode and provides an overview.
What is Battlefield Portal? The mode is being developed by Ripple Effect Studios (formerly DICE LA). Portal is a community-driven mode where players can access content and maps from three Battlefield classics and create their own game modes. Upon release, these are:
Battlefield 3
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Battlefield 1942
From these three titles, players can use and absurdly combine vehicles, weapons, tools, and even factions. For example, you can set soldiers from World War II against the US troops from Battlefield 3.
How is the mode supposed to work? Players can utilize extensive tools to create custom game modes and make additional settings.
Tools are available that until now could only be used by developers.
[toc]
Here you can watch the trailer:
Create your own game types with the editor and set the rules
This will be your tool: The Builder will be your most important tool in Battlefield Portal. With it, you can edit basic settings for weapons and maps in the Portal mode.
It is essentially a type of editor that allows you to influence and change a variety of things in the game.
Thanks to the Builder, you can, for example, place vehicles and aircraft on more modern maps such as Orbital from Battlefield 2042.
You can determine how many players on which team with what equipment will compete against each other.
Players are meant to have all freedoms and can create matches where, for example, you must fight against each other with knives and defibrillators, or face the factions from 1942 against those from 2042.
The editor is web-based and can be used on various devices such as tablets or smartphones via a browser. You don’t even have to purchase Battlefield 2042 to use the Builder.
You can select the desired era and map in the editor. If you want, you can even restrict the usable area of the map. The editor provides you with numerous options to modify every aspect. The link to the corresponding website can be found here: portal.battlefield.com
Here is the homepage for Battlefield Portal.
How do I create my own modes? Through the website, a sort of builder guides you through the creation of your own mode. This works as follows:
first you select a game mode – such as Conquest, Free-for-all, or Deathmatch
then you can add any number of the 13 available maps to the rotation
after that, you can adjust the rules for the mode – such as activating Friendly Fire, increasing projectile speed, or damage
you can even set vehicles, features like lying down, or UI elements like minimaps and HUDs
With these options, you can create PvE missions, wild deathmatches, or even simply smaller modes without vehicles, like those known from Call of Duty. While maps cannot be changed, you can choose smaller parts from them.
Once the mode is created, you can adjust the restrictions on which team has access to which content. You can set it for both teams together or separately:
from which era their soldiers, weapons, and vehicles originate
which weapons, vehicles, and soldiers players have access to
with which attachments the weapons can be upgraded
In total, 77 weapons are available for Portal. However, these cannot be mixed and are currently (still) tied to the selected era. So you can’t give a World War II soldier a modern rifle. A soldier from Bad Company 2 also cannot call in Stukas. However, if they are on the map, they can be looted.
Here you can see, for example, the different modifications for damage.
Afterwards, you can create special rules. This gets complicated. With various loops, commands, and conditions, you can decide when exactly what should happen. This requires a bit of tinkering or programming experience. However, this gives you even more possibilities to customize your own modes.
How can I play my own modes? After creation, the modes are saved and receive a unique code. This can then be directly entered in the game and retrieved to start the corresponding mode.
You can host your own modes or choose from modes provided by the developers as well as from open community games. In your games, you can also decide to kick players, send a message to everyone, or change maps, just like an admin.
Map classics from old Battlefield titles are being revamped
In addition to all the new features like maps, weapons, and vehicles that will be included in Battlefield 2042, the mode also brings back numerous contents from previous classics.
What maps can we expect? For each title, you can expect two maps. Veterans of the respective games are surely already familiar with them:
Battlefield 1942
El Alamein
Battle Of The Bulge
El Alamein
Battle Of The Bulge
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Arica Harbor
Valparaiso
Valparaiso
Arica Harbor
Battlefield 3
Caspian Border
Noshahr Canals
Caspian Border
Noshahr Canals
All maps will be brought up to date and adapted to Battlefield 2042.
What about additional maps? In addition to the 6 Portal-exclusive maps, there are also the 7 new maps from the All-Out Warfare of Battlefield 2042:
Orbital
Hourglass
Kaleidoscope
Manifest
Discarded
Breakaway
Renewal
In total, there are 13 maps in Portal. More maps are set to follow after release.
Factions, classes, weapons, and other content from Battlefield Portal
What else is in Battlefield Portal? In addition to the maps, numerous weapons from the three titles will also be included, along with the arsenal from Battlefield 2042. Additionally, several gadgets from the games will also be part of it.

Trainers have noticed a new visual change in Pokémon GO that can be found in gym battles. We at MeinMMO have looked into what this new feature is and show you the community’s reactions.
What kind of battles are we talking about? In Pokémon GO, trainers have the opportunity to kick players of other team colors out of the gyms and occupy them themselves. This is done by competing against them alone or together with other trainers.
This type of battle is also referred to as gym battles. These take place similarly to raid battles in the respective gym. Now, trainers have noticed a visual change that makes the battle environment appear even more realistic.
Trainers feel watched by visual change
Besides the two battling Pokémon, which were positioned in the center of the gym, the stands were previously decorated in colors to represent a kind of audience. However, trainer MoonCheese58 has noticed a visual change right there that he shares with the community on reddit.

At first glance, the battle appears completely normal; however, Niantic has evidently put in a lot of effort in designing the spectator stands. There, you can see many different trainers in various poses. This looks significantly more realistic than the previous design.
And the walls of the gym hold a visual surprise for the trainers as well. They seem to observe the battle too, as they are adorned with many circles. They directly resemble the appearance of eyes.
The reddit community of Pokémon GO also finds this. While the post creator finds the new look of the gym amusing, other trainers are somewhat surprised and joke in the comments.
SirJamesM: “Do the people in the stands really look like that? Just player avatars? That’s wild.”.
SelfBoundBeatuy: “Tireless watchers, keep your eyes on this pathetic thing”
rocketnail1000: “Big Brother is watching”
LavitzOfBrasil: “That’s kind of creepy”
More visual changes in Pokémon GO
But the adjustment of the audience in gym battles is not the only change that trainers have noticed in Pokémon GO in recent days. After the maintenance work that took place last week, further new features have now been discovered.
Full Pokémon storage: One of them is an orange dot in the center of the Poké Ball that takes you to the menu. This lights up when your Pokémon storage is full, and you cannot catch another monster.
This is particularly helpful before the start of raids. This way, you can directly see if a monster needs to be sorted out before you can catch the raid boss.
And the capacity indication in the Pokémon storage itself and the item bag is also highlighted in red as soon as you no longer have free space. This way, you can also see at a glance whether you need to create new spaces.
Markers for a full Poké Bag
Pokémon nearby: As trainer BirthdayAgent has noticed, the monsters in the “Nearby” overview are now also outlined with a blue circle. Players are also wondering in the comments whether this has a deeper meaning.

So, DanHero91 writes: “I noticed them earlier, what do they actually do? Or is it just a style question?” (via reddit.com). However, no one has been able to give him an answer so far. Niantic has also remained tight-lipped on this. Should there be new information, you will, of course, find out here on MeinMMO.
What do you think of the new look of the spectator stands in the gym battles? Have you noticed any other changes in the game? And what new features would you wish for the most? Feel free to share your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers on the topic.
The MG42 is available from the start in Call of Duty: Vanguard and is a powerful weapon. But with this loadout on MeinMMO, the weapon actually becomes a kind of “circular saw” that tears through entire lobbies.
What kind of weapon is this? The MG42 is an iconic weapon of the German armed forces from World War II. It was introduced in 1942 and was characterized by an extremely high rate of fire. It could fire up to 1,500 rounds per minute, which is extremely high. In comparison, contemporary MGs typically fired around 350 to 400 rounds per minute.
Due to the extreme rate of fire, the individual shots of the MG42 were indistinguishable, earning the weapon the nickname “Hitler’s Buzzsaw” among the Allies. The loadout presented here turns the weapon into a deadly saw in the game, tearing apart everything and everyone with terrifying efficiency.

Powerful machine gun right from the start
What makes the MG42 so powerful? The MG42 offers plenty of upgrades and adjustments that significantly change the weapon. However, those who just randomly attach good-sounding attachments to the MG might end up with a rebellious mule that’s hardly controllable.
Therefore, to achieve an effective setup, you need a well-thought-out mix to create an optimal compromise between damage, accuracy, and controllability. The core of the following setup is the brutal 13mm drum magazine, which gives the weapon an extreme punch but sacrifices much of its accuracy.
Operator Konstanze is well-suited for leveling the MG42.
But don’t worry, with the following loadout, you compensate for what makes the weapon a real monster that can precisely tear apart enemies from a distance.
What does the MG42 not do well? LMGs in Vanguard are rather sluggish weapons that provide cover for your team. They are not well-suited for wild running around and shooting from the hip.
In close combat, you are at a disadvantage. However, due to the high damage, an opponent should still go down quickly if you pull the trigger in time.
Vanguard: MG42 Loadout for optimum damage and accuracy
What does a strong loadout look like? The core of the loadout here is the powerful 13mm magazine. However, this makes the weapon hardly controllable and significantly reduces precision. Additionally, it blocks your ammunition type, as the 12mm rounds are already something special.
Therefore, it’s necessary to compensate for the magazine’s disadvantages with a clever setup.
Vanguard: MG42 Loadout
Muzzle: F8 Stabilization
Barrel: Krausnick 450MM B42MG
Sight: M19 4,OX Switch
Stock: VDD 64M
Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
Magazine: Anti-Material 13MM 125-Round Drum
Ammunition Type: None (Blocked by magazine)
Grip: Grooved Grip
Proficiency: Steady Grip
Kit: Fully Loaded
As you can see, the entire setup aims to manage the recoil and improve the accuracy of the weapon. This is achieved excellently thanks to the chosen attachments for the muzzle, barrel, sight, grip, and stock. With the proficiency “Steady Grip”, the weapon becomes even more accurate during sustained fire. Overall, this setup even provides an improvement in precision compared to the standard version.
In total, you get a frightening weapon that tears enemies apart at a distance with powerful rounds.
What else is needed? To complete the loadout, the following items are added:
Perk 1: Ghost
Perk 2: Piercing Vision
Perk 3: Sprint Speed
Secondary: 1911
Primary: Thermite
Tactical: Stim
Field Equipment: Armor Plates
With Ghost, you become harder to detect while shredding across the map. Piercing Vision reveals enemies you hit once, and with Sprint Speed, you can quickly change your position.
The 1911 pistol is ideal if you expect close combat or run out of ammunition.
Thanks to the armor from the field equipment, you can withstand a bit more, which is ideal when you are entrenched and firing continuously.
With Thermite, you can control the map even more effectively, and with Stim, you heal yourself quickly.
Who should try the MG? Those who enjoy camping with an LMG in the second line or securing strategically important points will set up with this loadout in their favorite spot and let lead rain.
Thanks to Sprint Speed, you are still relatively mobile and can quickly change positions or keep pace with your teammates at the front.
However, be aware that you are very inaccurate while moving, and it takes a long time to aim the heavy weapon from a sprint. Run-and-gun is not your style here!

How well can you play with that?
In general, you should be prepared for performance issues upon the release of Battlefield 2042, as our preview report has shown. Even with hardware that is better than the minimum requirements, there are currently strong fluctuations in FPS.
Even with significantly stronger hardware, some players experienced severe drops in performance. You should be aware of this when playing on PC.
Does your PC meet the hardware requirements for Battlefield 2042 or do you still need to upgrade to play? Feel free to share your opinion on the topic here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other players.
Right at the launch of Battlefield 2042, there have already been numerous complaints from the community. The absence of a key feature from previous titles is behind this: a proper scoreboard. MeinMMO summarizes what players find bothersome about it.
What exactly is missing in Battlefield 2042? The scoreboard normally shows every player in a match, including important statistics from the respective game. These include:
The K/D ratio, i.e., kills and deaths
Assists
Player rank
Score and placement
However, in Battlefield 2042, this is handled differently. Instead of a scoreboard as known from previous installments, players only see their team’s squads. There are no precise details on how many players are actually in the team, no information about player rank or similar.
Here you can see a direct comparison of how it looks in a match:
Many players are not happy about this at all, and there is now a lot of criticism regarding the missing feature in Battlefield 2042.
Thousands of players want to push for the feature to be added
This is what the community thinks: Many players are discussing the topic in numerous threads. All of them now count several thousand upvotes, with the most popular thread receiving over 7000 upvotes (as of November 12, 15:11 via reddit.com).
The feedback from players is clear: “We need a scoreboard!” There is a overwhelming number of comments agreeing with this sentiment, and if you combine the various threads, you would get well over 1000 comments. One thread creator summarizes the community’s concerns as follows:
The scoreboard indicates whether you are performing well or not. If you are doing poorly, you can change your playstyle or practice to improve. The scoreboard is one of the things that make the Battlefield games a “competitive game.” In Battlefield 4, the scoreboard shows who is dead or alive and thus provides other useful information. The least you [DICE] can do is offer us the scoreboard in Portal. If you need inspiration, DICE, then look at Battlefield 4, the perfect scoreboard.
In his post, the player At0mic11 also calls on others to write more posts, create more threads, and bring the community’s demands to DICE’s attention.
Some have answered the call and some players even jokingly threaten penguins with death: “Bring back the scoreboard, or the penguin will pay the price.”

Across reddit, there are numerous such posts with thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments.
This is why so many players are disturbed: Scoreboards are virtually indispensable in multiplayer shooters. They show where you or your team currently stands in the match, how the opponent is performing, and they also make other important factors visible:
Are the teams balanced?
Or are only pros battling against beginners?
Are the matches even full?
Are there possibly cheaters?
All of this can be made visible through a scoreboard.
Especially in Battlefield, with its often lengthy rounds, particularly in the conquest mode, the scoreboard is thus an important tool. However, in its current form, the scoreboard in Battlefield 2042 is not very informative, as you get no information about the enemy.
Moreover, you cannot see whether the other squads are full and how they are performing. Many community members are not happy about this at all, and it is currently causing quite a stir in the Battlefield 2042 subreddit.
128 players too many for a scoreboard in the game?
Why was the scoreboard even changed? At an event where numerous content creators, journalists, and even we from MeinMMO were able to play Battlefield 2042, this question was also raised.
The developers’ answer: It is difficult to display 128 players on a board in the middle of a match. However, the players do not accept this; they suggest simply incorporating a scrollable scoreboard.
New World has been struggling with some bugs since its release. Player Shintao has been particularly hard hit. He has been battling an error message for 15 days that prevents him from logging into his character. Even deleting it did not help.
What kind of error is this? On October 26, Shintao received an error message while playing New World. According to this message, there was an error with his character, and he was thrown back to the main menu. Afterwards, he could no longer log into his character.
Amazon’s support recommended on October 27 to delete the character and have it restored by support. Shintao did that, but the problem was not resolved.
A maintenance on October 29 allowed him to play again for a short time. However, due to the restoration, he lost all teleport points in the settlements and areas that he had to unlock again.
On October 30, there was the next server maintenance, and the error reappeared.
Since October 30, however, Shintao has been unable to enter New World with his character at all. Newly created characters on other servers work, but he wants his main character back with all its progress.
What exactly is this bug? The error message “Server error: Failed to persist the character” is not uncommon in New World. It has occurred several times in connection with server transfers and was then manually fixed by support for many players.
But Shintao did not apply for or perform a server switch.
Support currently offers no solution, forum threads are being deleted
What does Amazon say about the error? Basically nothing. According to Shintao, the last response to his ticket was on October 27. His thread on the forum also received no official reply from a community manager.
That is why Shintao’s group has now begun to regularly create new threads until Amazon responds. However, most of them have since been deleted, and some friends have even received a ban for this in the forum. Only in one was there a short statement saying, “We have added the bug to our tracker.”
Currently, only the latest post from the player krizen is still online, which was created yesterday (via New World Forum).
What do other players say about this? In the forum and on reddit, players sympathize with Shintao and show little understanding for Amazon.
Because even if they cannot fix the bug directly, they still expect at least regular communication with the player who has not been able to play properly for 15 days.
Some are even surprised that Shintao is still trying to play New World at all. The user Cleffka writes on reddit, “I’m impressed that he’s still trying to play this game.”
The reason for this seems to be the guild that supports him and has been trying to attract Amazon’s attention for days.
Many of these problems have since been brought under control, but with every update that fixes bugs, new, often smaller errors also sneak in. So New World is still not problem-free, as shown by Shintao’s character error.
However, especially the last update has created a positive mood. And the outlook on the first major patch in November gives many players hope:
