The user royituin says that if he loses all his progress after over 2,000 hours of gameplay, he would leave the game and return to EVE Online.
Kurock sees a wipe even as a breach of a promise: “At the beginning of the beta, it was announced that there would be no further wipes unless necessary for updates. If NQ decides on a wipe, that would be another broken promise.”
The problematic thing is that, although Dual Universe does not need to be purchased, since the beta launch in summer 2020, players have been charged a monthly subscription of €9.99. Since many players have already invested well over €100 in the game, the anger over a possible loss of progress is correspondingly high.
Players forgo new content because the future is uncertain
What does the discussion about the wipe lead to? On reddit and in the forum, some players express uncertainty regarding the impending wipe. They are not sure what to do in Dual Universe at the moment and whether it is worth playing right now.
This uncertainty coincides with a new update that actually leads to many positive reactions (via reddit). On April 26, the Athena patch was released, which brought several graphic overhauls:

However, this patch is somewhat overshadowed by the concerns and discussions about a wipe. This is also evident in the comments on reddit, where sentences like: “If people were only interested in investing time in the game when a wipe is imminent” are seen.

Battlefield 2042 is facing many negative headlines. Nevertheless, there are still some active players who enjoy certain modes. Particularly popular was “Flashback Conquest”, where you could play the Conquest mode on old map classics. This mode has now fallen victim to the rotation, and fans are not happy about it.
What kind of mode is this? Flashback Conquest allowed players to play the Conquest mode on old maps like Arica Harbor, but with the specialists from Battlefield 2042.
The mode belongs to Battlefield Portal and is therefore part of the rotation system, which regularly brings different modes while others disappear until it’s their turn again.
The removal of Flashback Conquest has caused some frustration, as players apparently had a lot of fun with it. There is currently a discussion about this in the subreddit.
Some demand: “DICE, make Flashback a permanent map in the Portal area.”
Why was the mode removed? Strictly speaking, Flashback Conquest is not gone, just put on ice. In Battlefield Portal, the various modes rotate approximately every 2 to 3 weeks.
The mode will return, but players are still disappointed.
Why is the mode so popular? Most players agree: it’s due to the maps and the smaller player counts. Here are some comments about that:

However, currently, they are very unpopular with most fans because they are too large and empty for many. The maximum player count of 128 players is also critically viewed by fans, with smaller rounds of 64 players being more appreciated.
Player IceCreamPheonix has a clear demand: The current map rotation makes no sense to him.
Given the massive delays in content, I don’t understand why they didn’t decide to put all maps into a rotation. That would almost double the number of maps. At least Flashback Conquest should have been a permanent game mode in Portal.
Why is the mode not simply permanent there? DICE has a problem here that is also recognized by the fans: the low player counts. They have now become so low that there cannot be too many modes in Battlefield 2042.
Otherwise, there is a risk that the remaining players will distribute themselves across too many modes, making matchmaking harder or even impossible. The Hazard Zone mode already faced this fate shortly after its release.
How bad is the situation with Battlefield 2042? The player numbers of Battlefield 2042 are unfortunately devastating. Especially on Steam, the shooter cannot compete with its rivals. Not even against those from its own house. Here’s a comparison of the average player numbers from the last 30 days, along with some other games (via SteamCharts):

The famous Warhammer 40,000 universe will soon expand with Necromunda: Ash Wastes. The new game is quite expensive at $300, which not every fan appreciates. However, find out why it might still be worth it and what the new tabletop game offers here at MeinMMO.
What kind of game is this? Necromunda is a spin-off of the popular Warhammer 40K series. Unlike in Warhammer 40,000, where armies of Space Marines, space orks, and murderous aliens face off, Necromunda is about small skirmishes between gangs. They reside in the gigantic city complexes on the inhospitable world of Necromunda.
The first version of this game was released in 1995 and was an immediate hit with Warhammer 40K fans. The series was eventually discontinued, but in 2017 a now out-of-print re-release was made. Recently, “Necromunda: Ash Wastes” was announced as a new version of Necromunda.
This time, however, the gangs fight outside the city as well. New units such as vehicles and mounts are introduced. Additionally, the already known gangs are joined by the tough nomad clans of the Ash Wastes.
What is Warhammer 40,000? Warhammer 40,000 (or 40K) is a popular miniature tabletop system from the manufacturer Games Workshop in the UK. Since 1987, you can lead armies of miniatures in the merciless 41st millennium. Warhammer 40K is characterized primarily by its impressive figures and the grim, often exaggeratedly ironic setting in which there are virtually no “good” guys and constant war prevails.
Exorbitantly priced miniatures, but ideal for hobbyists
What does it all cost? Necromunda: Ash Wastes will be available for pre-order starting on Sunday, May 1, 2022. However, the price is hefty; $299 has been confirmed by Polygon retailers for the base game box.
This is nearly double what is currently being offered for the out-of-print predecessor box from 2017 on eBay.
Who is this ideal for? For the money, you get the following contents from the box:
2 complete gangs, House Orlock and the new nomads. 10 figures are on foot. In addition, the Orlocks have 2 quad vehicles and the nomads have 4 riders on strange bugs.
Several terrain pieces that are fully customizable.
A rulebook, unit cards, dice, and templates
Marker tokens and a game mat
Especially the new miniatures and terrain pieces are the highlights of the package. As usual, they are extremely detailed and even in the age of affordably priced 3D printers, the figures of Warhammer have no equal. Each figure looks unique and can be customized. There are interchangeable heads with different glasses, hairstyles, and even epic mustaches!
The same goes for the terrain pieces, which can be combined individually, giving every player the chance to create a truly unique set.
Since tabletop players often tend to invest a lot of time and creativity into the appearance of their armies and terrains, the new Necromunda set is, despite the high price, an attractive offer for many.
How do fans react? Looking at the community, it quickly becomes clear that many want the new set. Especially the miniatures have been well-received since the first announcement on reddit, although the price is considered too high:
“I think it looks really incredible, but I’m just as excited [about the set] as I am shocked by the price.”
$300 is, according to reddit, too much money for many players. However, there are alternatives. Some users suggest simply sharing the price with a friend. After all, you need 2 players for a game of Necromunda, and if each pays $150 and shares the terrain, it becomes affordable again.
Other fans suggest just buying the miniatures and terrain once they become available separately. The 10 figures per gang are said to cost $47 each, with the package of figures or riding insects also costing $47 each.
And many players feel they don’t need the vehicles and mounts at all (for now). Then the old rules from previous editions of Necromunda would suffice to play, and one could get away with a set of cool figures relatively cheap.
On Twitch, the streaming group OTK led by Mizkif hosts the quiz show “Schooled”. There has now been a scandal in the finale of season 2 over $50,000: One player had cheated by looking up questions on his smartphone. He confessed, but only after being caught by clever internet detectives on reddit.
How does the show work?
The show works such that a series of content creators are invited to the Twitch stream of Mizkif.
In the show, they then answer questions from a school subject. Classic “general school knowledge” is tested. More and more people are eliminated from the show one by one.
In the end, the winner of the finale can take home a large prize.
How did the finale go this time? In the finale of season 2 of “OKT Schooled”, 2 content creators from the gaming side faced off:

The final question was who wrote “The Social Contract”. EE answered correctly with “Jean Rousseau” and claimed the $50,000 prize:
ExtraEmily looked a bit disappointed into the camera, as she could have thought of that, instead of guessing “Karl Marx”.
Mizkif shouted: EE clearly won, there can be no doubt about it.
EE jumped, danced, and was overjoyed. He thanked his “motherfucking” father for taking the time to learn history with “his boy”. He would call him right away – a touching scene.

It is still unclear what the event is about. But so far, everything suggests that the monsters will actually invade Caldera, and you will need to grab large weapons to deal with the threat.
However, the map does not change only when the event starts. Right at the beginning of the season, some areas of Caldera will already change:
Map Changes – Dig Site, Peak, Runway, Lagoon
With the new season, Caldera gets a brand new location: Dig Site. In the west of the island between Ruins and Mine, huge bones rise from the ground. It is a kind of excavation site for skeletons of giant monsters that will soon haunt the island.
Additionally, 3 other locations will receive a comprehensive overhaul. The volcanic peak Peak will be rebuilt, the buildings rearranged, and the color scheme will change.
The location Runway in the northeast will also receive new and thus more buildings. Overall, the area will be clearer after the reconstruction of this airfield, as much of the jungle in the area will disappear.
Furthermore, adjustments will be made to the location Lagoon in the west. Here, new ships have docked for you to explore.
