On May 31, Genshin Impact is expected to be enriched by Patch 2.7. We at MeinMMO summarize all official information and leaks for you.

Update from May 20: Genshin Impact officially announced that the livestream for Patch 2.7 will start today, May 20, at 2:00 PM on Twitch. Moreover, the update is supposed to be released on May 31 at around 5:00 PM and last for the usual 6 weeks. Patch 2.8 will then come on July 13.

What official information do we have? Genshin Impact announced that the Hydro user Yelan and the Electro fighter Kuki Shinobu will be available in Patch 2.7.

What weapons the two will carry to defeat their enemies have not yet been revealed in the official artwork, but one can see a kind of dagger in Shinobu’s hand. Whether she will use this as a weapon or revert to a regular one-handed sword remains to be seen.

When will more official information be released? A livestream presentation on Twitch shows all new updates for each patch every time. Of course, there are already some leaks about the upcoming update that we do not want to withhold from you. If you are not interested in this, we recommend that you do not continue reading this article.

Leaks about the abilities of Hydro user Yelan

What can Yelan do? Yelan is expected to be a 5-star character and use a bow as a weapon. You can watch gameplay of Yelan in this reddit post:

Normal attacks:

• Her heavy strike works differently than that of normal bow users: If Yelan is outside of combat for 5 seconds, she enters “Breakthrough” mode. Then she can fire a charged shot that requires 80% less charge time. Furthermore, this charged shot deals Hydro area damage based on Yelan’s maximum hit points (HP).

Elemental Skill:

• She uses a kind of rope to mark and bind enemies along a path. When the skill ends, the rope explodes and deals Hydro damage based on Yelan’s maximum HP.
  • Press the skill: Yelan moves quickly to a certain distance forward.
  • Hold the skill: Yelan moves continuously forward, and you can control her during this time. You also have a 34% chance to activate “Breakthrough” mode.
• Cooldown: 10 seconds.
• Duration: 3 seconds.

Special ability:

• Deals Hydro area damage and creates an “Exquisite Throw” that aids her in combat:
  • Follows the character and deals an attack that inflicts Hydro damage based on Yelan’s maximum HP whenever you perform a normal attack or every time Yelan’s rope explodes and hits enemies.
• Cooldown: 18 seconds.
• Duration: 15 seconds.
• Energy cost: 70.

Constellations:

• 1st Constellation: Yelan’s Elemental Skill can be used a second time.
• 2nd Constellation: When Exquisite Throw deals damage, an additional water arrow is shot that deals 14% of Yelan’s maximum HP as Hydro damage. The effect can be triggered every 1.8 seconds.
• 3rd Constellation: The talent level of the Special Ability increases by 3.
• 4th Constellation: The HP of all team members increases by 10% for 25 seconds for each enemy marked by Yelan’s rope and exploded. A maximum of 40% more HP can be gained this way.
• 5th Constellation: The talent level of the Elemental Skill increases by 3.
• 6th Constellation: After Yelan’s Special Ability is used, she enters “Mastermind” mode. In this mode, all normal attacks deal the damage that they would normally deal only in Breakthrough mode. 156% of her normal damage is dealt to enemies, and Yelan can shoot 5 such arrows before the mode ends. Otherwise, the Mastermind mode automatically ends after 20 seconds.

Passive Talents:

• “Lengthy Consideration”: You receive 25% more rewards when you send Yelan on an expedition in Liyue that lasts 20 hours.
• “Turn Control”: When your group includes 1/2/3/4 Element Types, Yelan’s maximum HP increases by 6%/12%/18%/30%.
• “Adapt With Ease”: As long as Exquisite Throw is active, your own active character’s damage increases by 1%. Each second, the damage rises by 3.5%. The maximum damage increase is 50%.

Other leaks about Yelan:

• Name card of Yelan (via reddit).
• Yelan’s Special Ability cannot snapshot, meaning it cannot carry the buff. She must therefore remain within buff fields of other characters to maintain it (via reddit).

Leaks about the abilities of Electro fighter Kuki Shinobu

What can Kuki Shinobu do? Kuki Shinobu is expected to be a 4-star character and will use a one-handed sword as a weapon. You can watch gameplay of Kuki Shinobu in this reddit post:

Elemental Skill:

• Shinobu takes a part of her HP and creates a “Grass Ring of Sanctification,” which deals Electro damage to nearby enemies and has the following effects:
  • Circles around the active character and deals Electro damage to nearby enemies every 1.5 seconds.
  • Heals the HP of the active hero. The healing amount is based on Kuki Shinobu’s maximum HP.
• If she reaches 20% of her maximum HP, no further HP can be consumed.
• Cooldown: 15 seconds.
• Duration: 12 seconds.

Special Ability:

• Creates a field that deals continuous Electro damage to enemies. The damage is based on Shinobu’s maximum HP. If her HP is 50% or lower when she casts the skill, the Special Ability lasts longer.
• Cooldown: 15 seconds.
• Duration: 2 seconds, at 50% or lower HP: 3.5 seconds.
• Energy cost: 60.

Constellations:

• 1st Constellation: The field of Shinobu’s Special Ability expands by 50%.
• 2nd Constellation: Grass Ring of Sanctification lasts 3 seconds longer.
• 3rd Constellation: The talent level of the Elemental Skill increases by 3.
• 4th Constellation: Every 5 seconds, Electro area damage is triggered on enemies, based on 9.7% of Shinobu’s maximum HP when normal attacks, falling attacks, or heavy strikes hit while Grass Ring of Sanctification is active on a hero.
• 5th Constellation: The talent level of the Special Ability increases by 3.
• 6th Constellation: If Kuki Shinobu has to take a hit that would bring her HP to 0, she survives with 1 HP. This effect can be triggered once every 60 seconds. If her HP falls below 25%, she gains 150 Elemental Mastery. This effect lasts for 15 seconds and can also be triggered every 60 seconds.

Passive Talents:

• “Protracted Prayers”: You receive 25% more rewards when you send her on an expedition in Inazuma that lasts 20 hours.
• “Breaking Free”: If Shinobu’s HP is not higher than 50%, her healing bonus increases by 15%.
• “Heart’s Repose”: The “Grass Ring of Sanctification” of Shinobu’s Elemental Skill is boosted based on her Elemental Mastery:
  • The healing amount is increased by 75% of the Elemental Mastery.
  • The damage dealt is increased by 25% of the Elemental Mastery.

Leaks about upcoming banners in Patch 2.7

Which character banners are supposed to appear? It is clear that Yelan and Kuki Shinobu will be available in the banners of Patch 2.7. Additionally, the leaks regarding other characters are split.

A leaker claims that Itto will receive a rerun (via reddit). Another leaker thinks that Xiao could return in Patch 2.7 (via reddit).

Which weapon banners are supposed to appear? When Yelan’s banner appears, her 5-star signature weapon “Aqua Simulacra” will also be available in the weapon banner.

Aqua Simulacra increases HP by 16% as long as enemies are nearby. Moreover, the damage of the character wearing this bow is increased by 20%, regardless of whether the character is actively on the field or not (via Honey Impact). As a second stat, the bow has critical damage.

What other weapons will make it into the banners has not yet been leaked. If the rumors about Itto’s or Xiao’s rerun turn out to be true, the claymore “Wolf’s Gravestone” or the spear “Primordial Jade Winged-Spear” could be available in the weapon banner.

Events that are supposed to come in Patch 2.7

These events are supposed to take place in Patch 2.7:

• “The Almighty Arataki Great and Glorious Drumalong Festival”: A music event where you can play music pieces on a drum with different characters at various difficulty levels (via reddit). You can even edit the music by adding notes and share them with other players (via reddit).
• “A Muddy Bizarre Adventure”: Dark, clay-like mass is emerging from the mines of the Great Chasm. Help remove it.
• “Perilous Trail” (via reddit): You must tackle 4 spheres in which you have to fight in 3 rounds each. You can bring characters that the game provides for you. The event reward is a 4-star bow called “The Fading Twilight” (via reddit).
• “Hearth of the Machine”: A toy manufacturer from Fontaine created a machine that can produce toys and furniture as long as you throw the right materials in. Help the manufacturer find suitable materials and conduct tests with them. You can apparently create small robots with it and place them in your teapot (via reddit).
• A rogue-like dungeon event in which Itto and Yelan appear together (via reddit).

Other leaks about Patch 2.7

What other leaks are there?

• To level up the battle pass, you only need 600 experience points instead of 1,000 (via reddit).
• The enemies in levels 11-1 to 12-3 in the winding abyss (via reddit).
• One should be able to search for certain achievements (via reddit). You can see how this looks in this reddit thread.
• The main story will continue. Yelan will receive a story quest, and there will be a hangout event for Kuki Shinobu (via reddit).
• A new 4-star bow will be offered as an event reward (via Honey Impact). It can increase your damage by 6%/10%/14%. Each 7 seconds a corresponding damage increase is achieved if an attack from the character equipped with the weapon hits. This also applies if they are not actively on the field.
