In Pokémon GO there is a spotlight hour with Ledyba and an XP bonus taking place today. We at MeinMMO will show you what to expect at this short event, whether Ledyba can be caught as a shiny, and if it is worth your time.
What kind of event is this? In Pokémon GO, a so-called spotlight hour takes place every Tuesday. During this, a specific Pokémon is highlighted and spawns nearly everywhere in the wild for 60 minutes.
Today, on July 5th, it’s that time again, and the first spotlight hour in July features the bug and flying Pokémon Ledyba. The event is complemented by an additional XP bonus.
Spotlight Hour with Ledyba – Start, Bonuses & Shiny
When does the spotlight hour start? The short event starts as usual at 6:00 PM local time and lasts for 60 minutes. It will therefore end at 7:00 PM, and the spawns will change.
What bonuses are there? During the spotlight hour, you can primarily encounter Ledyba at every corner. Those who want to collect even more specimens can also set up a lure. Furthermore, you will receive double experience points (XP) for catching Pokémon during this time.
Can you catch shiny Ledyba? Yes, Ledyba is also available in its shiny form in the game. You can recognize it by its orange wings.
Ledyba and Ledian normal (left) and as shiny (right)
Is the spotlight hour with Ledyba worth it?
How strong is it? Ledyba is a bug and flying Pokémon from the 2nd generation of games, which can evolve into Ledian. However, the monster is not particularly strong, and its evolution does not impress much with its stats. Therefore, it is unsuitable for use in raids or the GO battle league.
Who should take advantage of the spotlight hour? Ledyba is one of the monsters that is rather uninteresting for most trainers. Only shiny hunters will benefit from this Pokémon.
Otherwise, the spotlight hour is mainly worthwhile because of the XP bonus. Anyone who is on the way to level 50 and is still missing some experience points has the opportunity to collect some today.
If you prefer to encounter a different Pokémon, you can alternatively light a mystery box and spawn Meltan. However, keep in mind that you should not set a regular lure, as it may cause problems with spawns.
What do you think of the spotlight hour with Ledyba? Will you participate today? Let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.

We at MeinMMO are often asked why we don’t cover Final Fantasy XIV more extensively with articles. After all, the MMORPG belongs at least in the top 3 in the world and is mainly competing with WoW for the crown. However, if you only look at Germany, Final Fantasy is in a very tight battle with ESO, GW2 and Lost Ark and is pushed to 3rd or even 4th place.
What is the interest in the MMORPGs like? This is always a bit difficult to say, as almost no company shares concrete player numbers. However, certain trends can be observed:
WoW, on the other hand, recently experienced a low because the content gaps in Shadowlands were quite long and even a patch was missing compared to previous expansions. The MMORPG experienced a bit of hype with the announcement of the new expansion Dragonflight.
Lost Ark, in turn, experienced a release hype in the West, which caused interest to soar.
If you look at Google Trends, you can see exactly these elements reflected. Google Trends evaluates search behavior, puts it in context with other data, and estimates an overall interest from it.
In a global comparison, it is clear: WoW and Final Fantasy XIV are competing for the top spot, the hype around Lost Ark is slowly fading, and Guild Wars 2 (blue bar) plays hardly any role.
The global interest in the five mentioned MMORPGs in the last 12 months in comparison (via Google Trends).
German Players Love ESO and Guild Wars 2
What are the numbers for Germany like? In Germany, WoW dominates. The other MMORPGs are far behind. But aside from 1st place, the ranking is really exciting. In the last 12 months, for example, 2nd place clearly goes to Lost Ark. We’ve also hidden Lost Ark’s bar in the first image because it disrupts the exciting three-way battle behind it.
In 3rd place is Final Fantasy XIV, in 4th place ESO, and in 5th place Guild Wars 2. But there are some peculiarities:
At the release of the End of Dragons expansion, Guild Wars 2 even held 1st place for almost 30 days among the three mentioned games. Worldwide, it didn’t even come close to ESO.
If you look at the last 30 days, ESO holds the first place in this three-way fight. The reason for that is the release of the latest expansion High Isle at the beginning of June.
Even Lost Ark is entwined in a tight four-way struggle in the last 30 days.
Also curious is: Guild Wars 2 has the largest interest worldwide in Slovenia, followed by Germany. Germans clearly prefer GW2 more than, for example, Americans or Brits. This was also confirmed to us by an employee from the developer ArenaNet, whom we met at gamescom in 2018. Germany and France are important for the MMORPG, even together they are more important than the USA, it was said.
German trends of the last 12 months.German trends of the last 30 days
How reliable is Google Trends? Trends derive their values from search queries on Google and, of course, do not show player numbers. Nevertheless, the tool is useful for our work to check interest in games.
So far, the numbers from the tool have always coincided with our experiences.
What causes the difference in popularity? Final Fantasy XIV is a hit in Japan. No other MMORPG comes close to these numbers. Also in the USA, Final Fantasy is now slightly more popular than WoW.
However, in Germany, the game from Japan is not so well received. Possible explanations are:
Games like ESO and Guild Wars 2 are still relatively closely oriented towards our world, even if one encounters magic, dragons and monsters. Both also offer a mode where one besieges and conquers castles.
German players, on the other hand, have a fondness for medieval games. No wonder titles like Gothic, Skyrim or strategy games like The Settlers are so popular here.
Some German players find this too much. They prefer a more subdued experience. Time and again we read in the comments that our readers are trying to like FFXIV, but the game world simply does not match what they expect.

That Germans prefer classic MMORPGs is something we also experience repeatedly in discussions around gender lock and races or classes that are considered too childish. While, for example, the new classes Painter and Aeromancer are celebrated in the Korean community of Lost Ark, we often read comments like from Aldalindo:
This gender lock is simply not up to date and now even the lollipop lane, really? Well, the Koreans probably love it… but for me, the game is heading in the wrong direction.
This criticism has been raised for almost every MMORPG that has come to us from Asia, including recently Astellia and Elyon. This genre of games certainly has its followers here, but not in numbers as great as in Japan or Korea.
The childishly and cutely styled Astells were not well received.
What is your attitude towards MMORPGs? Do you prefer Guild Wars 2 or ESO or are you team Final Fantasy XIV? Should the game world be more classic for you or can it also be a little more unusual? Feel free to write it in the comments.

In World of Warcraft, the auction house is undergoing drastic changes. The consequences could be profound and forever alter how you earn gold.
Those in World of Warcraft who need gold simply farm resources like herbs or ores, craft a few potions, or sell cloths in the auction house. But many players fear this may soon bring virtually no profit. Because WoW merges the auction houses of an entire region – meaning all European realms. How will you earn gold in the future?
What is happening with the auction house in WoW? Blizzard has announced that with patch 9.2.7, a significant change will impact the auction houses. These will now be interconnected throughout the whole region. This means all realms in the European area will have access to a common market – at least for “daily commodities,” in English “Commodities.”
This affects crafting materials as well as consumables like potions, flasks, and buff foods. Equipment items are not affected by this. They will still only be available on their respective realms.
What are the consequences of this change? The exact effects are not yet fully foreseeable, but many wise individuals are already considering this, and at least in some points, there is consensus. The most significant changes will likely be (via wowhead):
Farming materials on realms with low player counts will become unattractive.
The profit margin for crafting consumables will be much smaller.
Buying up resources and selling them for a higher price will be difficult, if not impossible.
However, the advantage is that realms will no longer be able to be “dominated” by a handful of players who completely monopolize the auction house. With a significantly increased mass of players and, consequently, resources, it is nearly impossible to fully control a market.
The end of the great gold mountains?
However, this also has repercussions for everyone who wants to sell their materials at reasonably fair prices.
Because on every realm, you know those players who drastically undercut even reasonable prices – they just want to get rid of their goods, no matter if it results in a theoretical loss. With only a handful of players per realm, this can be balanced out. But if several hundred players flood the auction house with their materials at throwaway prices and constantly undercut each other, it will drive prices down.
What is the mood in the community? That probably depends on whom you ask.
From a purely consumer standpoint, that is from the perspective of a player who only shops in the auction house and never wants to sell anything, the change is probably positive. Because the prices for consumables like potions and buff food will very likely decrease significantly on most realms.
From the perspective of players who have made their gold so far through farming resources or flipping, the merger is likely to be quite a problem. Because farmable materials will likely decrease in price on almost all realms. The net profit resulting from buying and selling or farming will likely decrease drastically, making these gold farming methods unattractive.
Farming groups of multiboxers are likely to earn even less soon – or dominate the market.
The great hope of farmers is that supply and demand will balance out again. Because if it turns out that you can no longer make a significant profit from farming herbs and ores, then fewer gatherers will be out, reducing the amount of available material and ultimately raising prices again. However, this hope is diminished by the increased number of “undercutters” who want to get rid of their material at any price.
However, there are also a number of pessimists who fear the worst. Some believe that the merging of the auction house will ensure that the rich players become even richer. Because those with several hundreds of millions of gold may easily dominate the market of an entire region for certain items.
In the end, there is only one thing left to do: wait and see. But how players will earn gold best is likely to change drastically soon. That could still be a positive change.

Upgrading in Lost Ark is incredibly expensive. That is no secret. However, a reddit user shows a trick that can make your life easier. We at MeinMMO summarize.
What does the trick show? Normally, to reach the gear score of 1,415, you need to fully upgrade your current gear to +15. This is nerve-wracking, costs a lot of crystals, and especially a heap of gold. To at least save you some gold, a reddit user calculated how to make it easier (via reddit).
It is also important to mention that the post takes the upgrade rates of an endgame character. This means the exact numbers only apply if you already have a character at level 1,460 and have researched the honing buff in the stronghold.
The actual trick is as simple as it is: Don’t upgrade your entire gear to +15. That’s expensive and inefficient. Instead, improve some pieces to +17, so you can leave expensive parts like your weapon at +11. This saves you an average of several thousand gold.
And it helps you to reach Vykas, the latest Legion Raid in Lost Ark:
Start video
The legions raids are the most difficult fights in Lost Ark – See the frightening attacks of the demon Vykas
How does it work in detail? This depends on whether you play support or DPS, as you will have different priorities that affect your gear. As a DPS player, you prefer gear pieces that give you a bonus to attack power, while as a supporter you would rather have more health points.
For DPS players, this means:
Gloves and shoulder pieces +17, as you get more attack power here
Helmet +13
Pants and top +12
Weapon +11, as it is the most expensive, and you lose hardly any damage due to the additional attack power on gloves and shoulders
For supporters, it looks like this:
Top and pants +17, as they provide you with the most bonus to vitality and allow you to distribute larger shields
Helmet +13
Gloves and shoulder pieces +12
Weapon +11
This makes the support build a bit more expensive than the DPS build, as the top and pants require more gold for upgrades than gloves and shoulder pieces. However, this way is still much cheaper than pushing all gear to +15. In both variants, you end up with a gear score of 1,415.
If your support build, by the way, focuses on damage buffs, you can also go the DPS route. Damage buffs scale with attack power, while shields and heals scale with vitality.
How much gold you exactly save can be seen in the thread itself:

Should I choose the method if I don’t have the honing buff yet? Yes, definitely. Although the reddit thread creator refers to the rates that you have with the large buff at 1,460, the method basically still works without any issues.
The buff that you can research at 1,460 improves your upgrade chances by 10% and simultaneously reduces the material consumption by the same amount. This means you still save a lot of money even without this buff; the calculated numbers just do not match your experience.
Even if you’re currently playing your first character and don’t have much gold yet, this little trick is worth it to save a bit of gold. You’ll need it anyway, as the path to 1,460 is long and, above all, expensive.
What do you think of the method? Have you used it yourself, or do you prefer to have everything evenly upgraded to +15? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
Nintendo offers both the Switch and the Switch OLED. MeinMMO editor Benedikt Schlotmann bought the Switch OLED and would no longer recommend purchasing the regular Switch after several hours of gaming fun.
Nintendo introduced the Switch OLED as an “upgrade” for the popular handheld console. However, many users expressed disappointment with the OLED version. After all, better and faster hardware was expected, not just a new display. Depending on the offer, Nintendo charges 50 – 70 euros more for the Switch OLED than for the standard version with an LCD screen.
I had the same considerations and pondered whether the price increase was really worth it. After all, it is “just” a new display. However, I have since spent several hours with the Switch OLED. Since then, I would hardly recommend the regular Switch to anyone.
Oops, unfortunately this affiliate widget is no longer available.
Is the OLED version really an “upgrade”? Definitely!
Here’s why the OLED display is so good: You can really notice the difference when you lay the consoles side by side. My girlfriend bought her Switch a few years ago, and it has the LCD display. When I place my Switch OLED next to it, the difference is very clear:
The display is slightly larger, or the bezels are slightly slimmer.
The colors and contrasts are much richer and more vivid.
With the slightly larger display, small text appeared a bit blurry to me at first glance. But that could just be my imagination.
Backlighting is significantly better, as each pixel in the OLED display lights up individually.
Switch OLED (top) vs Switch normal (bottom). The larger display is clearly visible.
Especially the richer colors are noticeable. Everything looks more washed out and lifeless on the regular Switch. This is especially visible in very colorful games. I am not alone in this view, as many testers praised the Switch OLED for its display.
Pay attention to certain colors in the first image. For example, the blue on Bulbasaur or the purple flower above it. Especially with colors like blue, red, or green, you notice the advantage of OLED. The larger display is also noticeable.
Above the OLED version, below the normal Switch.
In the second image, you can see it as well. Pay attention to the upper right triangle or the red pants. Or the richer yellow on Pikachu in the upper right half. The colors of the regular Switch appear somewhat paler and less saturated in comparison.
And if you don’t believe pictures and words, then check out the video by “Open Surprise” on YouTube: Here you can see the OLED version on the left and the regular version on the right. The differences are clearly visible.

OLED is great for me – If you only play on the TV, save the money
Is the regular Switch no longer recommended? Since I use the console exclusively in handheld mode, the regular Switch is no longer recommended for me. The OLED display is a huge improvement for me, and I hope Nintendo retains the OLED display in a possible Switch Pro.
But here comes the big and important “but”: If you use your console exclusively at the docking station, then the OLED variant is not worth it. Because you don’t benefit from the great display if you play on the TV. And the docking station with LAN port, which is included for the first time with the OLED, can be purchased separately for around 60 euros. You don’t need to buy the expensive version of the Switch for that.
You can also read about the similarities and differences between Switch OLED vs Switch in the following article:

About a month ago, Diablo Immortal was released, marking the first real Diablo MMO. It launched with great success, but also faced heavy criticism and massive discussions. Now, the game has become quiet. MeinMMO checks the status and shows what the future bringst.
The endgame area and the final dungeon in the trailer brought a good atmosphere back then – but they were also the last major “content update” so far:

New gameplay of the last area from Diablo Immortal – No player has been here yet
Diablo Immortal is stagnating for too long
What is the current status of Diablo Immortal? At least the financial success of Diablo Immortal continues. According to the analysis website AppMagic, the mobile MMO is said to have generated over 47 million Euros in its first month (via mobilegamer.biz).
However, the general interest in the game is decreasing significantly. On Twitch, the viewer count has dropped drastically after the first few days (via sullygnome.com). Many streamers now prefer to show Diablo 3, even though it is already 10 years old.
Also, fewer and fewer people are searching for Diablo Immortal on Google. Google Trends are an important indicator for us at MeinMMO regarding interest in games. Worldwide, the search volume has fallen to less than a quarter compared to the release:
The situation shows that while Diablo Immortal is a financial success despite criticism, it gives the impression that this cannot last indefinitely. At least not if the developers and Blizzard do not change something soon.
What is the problem? After the significant criticism of the pay-to-win aspect of Diablo Immortal, several influencers have turned their backs on the game. Even the important service website, Maxroll.GG has stopped covering Diablo Immortal because it is incompatible with their morals.
The bigger problem, however, is that there has been radio silence regarding updates since the release. There has been exactly one patch for the still-buggy PC version, one week after the release. Bugs remain, and new content is missing.
Since Diablo Immortal has been played a lot despite the discussions, there are thousands of players who have engaged with the content even in free-to-play. There are even comparisons showing that Immortal performs better than Diablo 2. However, players are now reaching a point where they have nothing more to do.
Once they reach the endgame, there is nothing left to do except grind for higher levels and legendaries. Diablo is about looting and leveling, and the grind wouldn’t be the problem if there weren’t loot caps and other problems that concern fans.
In the podcast, editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski and editorial manager Gerd Schuhmann discuss pay-to-win in Diablo Immortal:

This is how players see it: Many hardcore players have already stopped after a few days. The systems in Diablo Immortal prevent them from grinding as much as they want while still making progress – unless they pay.
However, even casual players have now reached this point, making up the much larger part of the player base. On reddit and other social media, questions are repeatedly raised about when Diablo Immortal will die and reports of dead servers. Players allegedly can no longer find groups to complete dungeons.
Starting from Hell difficulty 1, they need a group to complete a dungeon. As some players progress further, the community splits more and more over the different difficulty levels. Consequently, it takes longer and longer to find fellow players.
Another major issue is the PvP system with the two factions, Shadows and Immortals. Here, there is only about a weekly change of the leading faction. For Shadows, there is little incentive to work towards this showdown for so long.
Here are suggestions for improvement: In many threads, players explain that they would like to continue. They just lack the incentive to do so. They have several ideas for which they would come back if implemented:
Dungeons should be soloable
The limits for loot and resources need to be raised
Rewards must be significantly better
Free-to-play players need more opportunities to keep up
One of the ideas is to revise the legendary gem system. You can get legendary gems for free, but it takes an enormous amount of time. If there were better opportunities to earn the important items, more players would have an incentive to play.
In the video, we explain what exactly the gems are about and how to obtain them:
Start video
Diablo Immortal: What are legendary gems? Facts and locations in 3 minutes
New classes, new features, more content
What content is still to come? Diablo Immortal is a service game like WoW and is expected to receive updates similarly. From some discussions with the developers, we already know what upcoming content is planned:
Since Diablo thrives on loot and leveling, there should also be a supply of new content in this area. New legendaries and sets have already been promised, but we do not yet know which ones they will be. In our list, you can find all sets of Diablo Immortal and where to find them.
Currently, Diablo Immortal offers 6 classes, which you can find in the ranking in our tier list. You can see gameplay here in the video:

Diablo Immortal: All 6 Classes in Brief Overview with Gameplay
When are the updates coming? MeinMMO already inquired with Blizzard a few weeks ago about the current status and a roadmap. So far, however, there is only the information from the source that “more information will come soon.”
It is possible that all players worldwide are to receive updates simultaneously, so that not different versions are in circulation that need to be managed. However, this is pure speculation.
If this is the case, it is also unclear when exactly the first updates will come. Because Diablo Immortal cannot yet be released in China:
The Sorceress is one of the strongest classes in PvE of Lost Ark. She is also quite useful in PvP. She deals a lot of damage at great distances and can especially handle groups of enemies very well. We at MeinMMO have taken a close look at the class for you and reveal what is important.
What kind of class is this? The Sorceress is a ranged fighter who acts with magical damage and uses a large staff. She has many AoE abilities that are based on specific elements.
Especially in the early game, it is easy for you to control your enemies and quickly eliminate them. In the endgame of Lost Ark, the Sorceress is a sought-after support and provides your group with a lot of damage.
Her identity skill consists of two different aspects. You collect magical energy as you deal damage to enemies. You can then activate it with X to perform a teleport or “blink”. The jump then consumes 30% of your energy.
Alternatively, you can activate the ability with Y, which provides a massive boost to your damage, but completely depletes the energy.
In comparison to all other classes, the Sorceress can withstand very little damage, which is why you will likely activate your identity skill most often with X to jump away. Currently, the Sorceress is the only mage class in Europe focused on damage, which will change in July with the Arcana.
We last updated this article on July 5 and added some formulations, as well as information.
Pro
Massive area damage
Easy to level
High mobility
Very popular in groups due to her massive damage
Contra
Can withstand very little damage
Long casting times
Little push immunity
For which game content is she useful? The Sorceress especially shines in PvE. With her enormous area damage, she can swiftly annihilate whole hordes of enemies. She is also quite effective against bosses.
In PvP, the Sorceress is somewhat of an adjustment period. Here, you must use a completely different build than you would in PvE to be successful.
While the Sorceress ranks in our Tier List at PvE in A-Tier, which is the second-best, she must yield to B-Tier in terms of PvP. Nevertheless, she is quite fun to play.
[toc]
This is how the Sorceress plays
What are the two builds? In the long term, you can play the Sorceress in two different ways. One build particularly focuses on the heavy casting skills of the Sorceress. You must charge these beforehand, making the magician considerably slower. The other build completely forgoes such skills and uses only the so-called “instant casts”. This means you forgo a bit of damage but move faster.
Both builds are well playable in the endgame but require different prerequisites from you. We will explain these in more detail later in this guide. At the beginning, you play a mobile Sorceress, with which you do not have to think much during the leveling process and can swiftly take down most enemies.
All Skills of the Sorceress
At this point, we would like to give you an overview of all the skills of the magician. However, we will omit the exact damage numbers, as these also depend on your attributes and already allocated points.
Fire – Costs 74 mana: Shoot a wall of fire forward that remains on the ground for some time and pulses. It deals initial damage and then causes briefly lasting area damage.
Energy Discharge – Costs 61 mana: Fires a sphere of concentrated energy that pierces your enemies and deals damage. You can activate the skill again to fire a second, stronger charge.
Lightning Vortex – Costs 80 mana: Creates a sphere of lightning that remains in place for 3 seconds and pulses. If an enemy is hit, it is pulled into the sphere, where it takes additional damage.
Frost Call – Costs 110 mana: You must hold this skill for it to work. If you hold it for the maximum duration of 4 seconds, it hits all enemies in the radius 9 times.
Gust – Costs 85 mana: Creates a whirlwind that is shot in a cone away from you and deals damage three times. The enemy is knocked back.
Angelic Jubilation – Costs 96 mana: This skill unleashes a tidal wave on your enemies, originating from you. It hits enemies in its path and deals damage to them. If it hits an enemy already in the air, the wave keeps the enemy airborne.
Inferno – Costs 96 mana: Creates a pillar of flame that rises from the ground and deals fire damage to enemies within the explosion radius.
Punishing Strike – Costs 119 mana: Calls down a massive thunderstrike from the heavens onto your enemies and deals lightning damage in a large area.
Gravitational Inversion – Costs 91 mana: Creates a field around you that lifts enemies into the air, briefly holds them there, and then violently slams them down. The ability deals double damage to your enemies and grants you super armor.
Frost Shower – Costs 77 mana: A quick ability with no casting time that deals water damage in a cone in front of you and also grants you super armor.
Lightning – Costs 110 mana: If you hold this skill, it fires a massive lightning beam that you can steer with your mouse at a 50-degree angle. It hits your enemies 5 times within 2 seconds.
Esoteric Reaction – Costs 110 mana: Creates a crystal at your cursor that pulses three times before ultimately exploding, causing area damage and knocking back enemies.
Hoarfrost Arrow – Costs 105 mana: Rain icicles fall in a rectangle in front of you, causing water damage and hitting enemies multiple times.
Explosion – Costs 119 mana: After a long casting time, you shoot a meteorite at your enemies that explodes in a massive inferno, dealing massive damage in a large area.
Switch – Costs 14 mana: You receive 30% less mana regeneration, but gain a shield that redirects all damage from your health to your mana. However, you lose 330% mana relative to the health points you would lose.
Envika’s Power (Awakening) – Creates a large sphere of lightning energy that deals damage in a wide area and pulls all enemies together before the sphere explodes and knocks your enemies away.
Call of the Apocalypse (Awakening) – Causes meteorites to fall from the sky for 8 seconds. If an enemy is hit by an impact, they take fire damage and are thrown to the ground.
The Sorceress in the Leveling Process
How do I play the Sorceress most effectively at the start? At the beginning, it is important not to shoot wildly around you with everything you have. Many of your skills have a long cooldown and also longer casting times.
So it’s best to pull a swarm of enemies behind you before you stomp them into the ground with your AoE effects.
At the start, you should focus on the skills Fire, Lightning Vortex, and Frost Call. They provide a lot of area damage and have comparatively low cooldowns. However, as you progress through the leveling process, you will exchange two of them. But this is not a problem, as you can reset your points for free at any time.
Right at level 12, you will let the Lightning Vortex go. You will keep the skill on the list, but remove the points and set them on Inferno. A skill that will accompany you until the end of the game.
At levels 14 and 16, you will get the skills Punishing Strike and Gravitational Inversion. You can safely level both; they are still part of your main damage skills later on. Feel free to take your points off Frost Call for this.
At levels 28 and 32, Hoarfrost Arrow and Explosion will come. You will always want to have both skills available.
Crit, specialization, and agility help you level up
Which equipment is good at the beginning? You should rely on the values of crit, specialization, and agility for the equipment. While crit ensures that you land more critical hits, specialization helps you deal better elemental damage.
However, you should not overlook agility either, as this primarily benefits you from shorter cooldowns in your skill set.
How do you distribute your skill points? Make sure to always unlock the next tripods. This happens at skill levels 4, 7, and 10. The points you require to level these skills vary from ability to ability.
At the very beginning, you can put your points into “Fire”. In the first tripod, you initially select “Ignite”, which causes your enemies to burn as soon as you hit them. Later, when you have a bit more abilities, swap the tripod for “Enhancement of Torment”. This ensures that you and your group deal 6% more damage to enemies hit by fire for 8 seconds.
If you play more solo, leave Fire at level 4. If you are often in groups, bring Fire to level 7 and then add the tripod “Flame Charging”, which significantly increases the radius of “Fire”.
From level 14, you will receive the ability “Punishing Strike” – bring it to level 10 as quickly as possible; it is one of your best abilities. Focus on the tripods “Wide-angle Attack”, “Inevitable Fate”, and “Mage Enhancement”.
As a second priority, you should boost the skill Inferno. You should also bring it to level 10 and equip it with “Tear Acceleration”, “Flame Area”, and “Fire Power Enhancement”.
Once you unlock Explosion at level 32, you can take the points from Inferno and invest them in Explosion to bring it to level 10. Choose “Ignite”, “Counterfire”, and “Mage Enhancement” for this.
If you have points left, you can distribute them according to your preference. However, we recommend boosting the skill Gravitational Inversion with the tripods “Wide-angle Attack”, “Cloudy Blessing”, and “Weakness Detection”.
As for the Awakening skills at level 50, both spells of the Sorceress are viable. However, we recommend focusing on Envika’s Power, as it can be used more purposefully than the random meteorites of the other spell.
This leveling build is especially suitable for massive area damage. It is optimized for monster groups and not optimal against bosses or in PvP.
For PvP, you must use a different build, otherwise, you are much too slow
The Sorceress in Endgame
In the endgame, there are various builds for the Sorceress, all of which are good in their own right. However, we want to focus on the builds revolving around the two engravings.
The Reflux Sorceress: Focuses on the Reflux engraving, without which this build does not work as well. It ensures that you drop one of your identity skills (the Y-skill) and instead receive more general bonuses.
The Reflux Sorceress has more mobility, as she can use all her magical energy for the jump. Furthermore, she excels in sustained damage rather than in short burst windows. As main attributes, you focus on crit and agility for the Reflux Sorceress.
You mainly rely on the skills Fire, Frost Call, Punishing Strike, Gravitational Inversion, and Esoteric Reaction. A detailed guide on this build can be found at maxroll.gg.
The Igniter Sorceress: This build relies on the Igniter engraving of the Sorceress. It fundamentally does the exact opposite of the Reflux engraving. It ensures that your identity ability (Y) is enhanced. You get up to 50% less cooldowns and 50% more damage as long as you are in this form.
In comparison to the Reflux Sorceress, the Igniter Sorceress relies more on burst damage, as you cannot maintain continuous damage. Your burst window is whenever you have successfully charged your Y ability.
The Igniter Sorceress loses some mobility, as you should not use your X ability to maximize your damage. Additionally, in this build, you have more downtimes during your skill rotation. The main attributes of the build are specialization and agility.
Your main skills here are Frost Call, Punishing Strike, Esoteric Reaction, Explosion, and Inferno. A detailed guide on this build and how to play it can be found at maxroll.gg.
Both builds can be played in both an instant cast and a long cast variant. Depending on what you choose, you should prefer different engravings that complement your class engraving. It is therefore difficult to give a general tip; however, the usual DPS engravings like Wrath and Cursed Doll are suitable.
What do you think of the Sorceress? Do you enjoy the area damage and the heavy skill effects, or do you prefer to focus your damage on another class? How did you level the Sorceress and which build are you currently playing in the endgame? Which engraving do you prefer? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.

On June 30, 2022, the death of the popular YouTuber Technoblade shook not only the Minecraft community. Following tributes from other content creators and even Elon Musk, Mojang, the studio behind Minecraft, has now also paid tribute to him.
Who was Technoblade?
Technoblade gained fame as a Minecraft YouTuber, especially in connection with Dream SMP
He started uploading videos of the sandbox game in 2013 at the age of 13
At the time of his death, over 10 million people followed him on YouTube
Minecraft immortalizes Technoblade with Easter egg in the launcher
Techno, whose real name was Alex, was always very concerned about his privacy and that of his family. Fans did not know his real name or face until his death. Instead, he was mainly associated with his Minecraft skin, a pig with a crown and royal outfit. This became his trademark and adorned not only his social media channels but also numerous fan merchandise.
This is exactly what the Minecraft studio Mojang is playing on with its tribute to the deceased content creator. Those who open the current version of the Minecraft launcher can discover a change in the background of the title image. The little pig on the right side of the image now wears the YouTuber’s crown.

On Twitter, the fans’ reaction was positive. Some even said they were moved to tears. Others feel that the tribute does not go far enough. There are already petitions on change.org calling for Mojang to add a statue or a crowned pig as a rare spawn in the game.
Update, July 7: One of the petitions was successful with over 77,000 signatures. The slogan “Technoblade never dies!” has been added as a splash text (via dexerto)”
Whether the change in the launcher is meant to be permanent or just temporary is still unknown.
Others also mourn online for Technoblade
Even elsewhere, people remember Technoblade. He gained fame on the minigame server Hypixel, where he won the “Great Potato War” in 2020. Currently, you can leave a message there, which is to be printed and handed over to Techno’s family:

Also in 2020, Technoblade joined the roleplay survival server Dream SMP. He had a friendly rivalry with its co-founder, the well-known Minecraft YouTuber Dream, over the title of “best Minecraft player.” Technoblade claimed this title in a tournament announced by YouTuber MrBeast in August 2020. Dream posted a tribute on YouTube, urging people to support Techno’s family and continue to respect their wish for privacy.
But condolences also came from rather unexpected sources. In addition to content creators from the gaming scene, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and author John Green commented on the YouTuber’s death. Technoblade’s son set up this memorial with a friend:
Technoblade was 23 years old. His death was announced on June 30 by his father. Technoblade addressed his community one last time through his father’s video message.
On YouTube, Technoblade had 10.9 million subscribers and averaged several million views per video. He gained a special status due to his PvP skills in Minecraft and was part of the Minecraft multiplayer server Dream SMP as well as the Minecraft server Hypixel.
The 23-year-old Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov is a professional player of the shooter Counterstrike: Global Offensive (Steam). Just in 2021, he earned $832,000 in prize money from tournaments in CS:GO. Now he shares in an interview how the turbulent relationship with a woman ruined his life and career.
This was the “dream career” of Boombl4:
The now 23-year-old Russian played for Natus Vincere and was the in-game leader of the team. He led NAVI to many successes in 2021: The team consists half of Russians and half of Ukrainians, including s1mple, a great player.
Overall, Boombl4 has earned over one million US dollars in prize money with CS:GO: In 2021, he won over $830,000 in prize money (via esportearnings).
Especially in 2021, things went great for NAVI: In November 2021, the team won a major tournament in Stockholm, and Mikhailov proposed to his then-girlfriend on a big stage.
Where are the statements from? In a YouTube interview in Russian, Boombl4 now talks about his relationship with his ex-wife, who appears on Instagram as LiQueen (via youtube). We at MeinMMO refer to a translation and summary of the interview in English (via blix).
Player broke up with girlfriend because she didn’t congratulate him on his victory
This is how he met his girlfriend: He said he had broken up with his then first girlfriend in March 2021 because she did not congratulate him on winning a CS:GO tournament. He then wanted to take the relationship a bit more lightly.
But he met a woman with whom he immediately felt a connection and wanted to spend more time.
Still in the early stage of the relationship, he flew with his new acquaintance to Mexico and promised her there that he would propose to her one day if he won the championship. After the stay in Mexico, the two officially became a couple.
CS:GO is one of the most lucrative and largest esports titles in the world, especially in Russia and Eastern Europe:

Promise becomes a player’s downfall
How did the proposal come about? According to the player, he and his later wife had a turbulent relationship from the start:
They kept breaking up with each other,
But also spent very nice moments together.
Boombl4 intended to be a good stepfather to his wife’s son from a previous relationship.
Just before the start of the tournament in November 2021, they moved into a shared apartment. However, his new stepson did not live with them:
We moved into our first shared apartment. I felt so good, I moved out of my parents’ place for the first time and lived my life with my wife – it was great. But the bootcamp before the Major was coming up, and she wanted to have a serious conversation. We had just played BLAST Online, and everything was good, then she says: We need to break up. I ask: Are you sure? Let’s pretend you didn’t say that and never say something like that again.
Girlfriend breaks up first, reminds player of his promise to marry her
While Boombl4 was training at the bootcamp and during the championship, he had no contact with his girlfriend. But it is said that as the world championship intensified, his girlfriend repeatedly reminded him of his promise to propose to her if they won.
Ultimately, all his teammates warned him not to propose to her, but he says: He decided with his heart, not with his head.
How did the relationship break up? Immediately after he proposed to his wife, rumors surfaced on Telegram that the woman was a former high-class escort who also worked as a porn actress between 2018 and 2021 (via gamesread).
He and his wife contradicted these rumors at the time. Boombl4 says today that he wanted to do what was right for his wife. He loved her very much.
Woman posts on Instagram pictures supporting the war in Ukraine
How did she ruin his life? His wife is very active on social media, especially on Instagram and Telegram. This ultimately became Boombl4’s downfall. Because she posted photos on Instagram where she could be seen with the Russian flag and in front of tanks. Apparently, she wanted to support Putin’s war in Ukraine.
However, NAVI is a Ukrainian team and could not tolerate that. His wife’s behavior led to Boombl4’s dismissal, as he now confirms.
Boombl4 says:
Those were mentally the hardest days for me: The photo with the flag. She showed me that she took the picture. I said: Don’t post that. She asked me: Why not? I said: It reflects negatively on my career. Two weeks later she posts the picture. I ask again: Why? But she doesn’t answer, only says I had to swallow it.
Ultimately, these photos led to his dismissal from NAVI, but the wife had no understanding for that:
I woke up, and the boss of NAVI called me and told me that I was no longer part of the team. I took it without emotion. I went to my wife and told her, but I didn’t tell her it was because of her. And she didn’t understand that.
He says that when he tells his friends that he was fired because of his wife, they only say: “Good, you have to know exactly why this happened.”
Much better than for him went the relationship of Twitch streamer Asmongold with an influencer:
This is how the divorce came about: Boombl4 says he decided to divorce his wife after being fired from NAVI:
I made the decision myself. As a joke, before we started dating, I told her: If I have to choose between you and the team, I will choose you. And that backfired. After I was kicked out, she acted as if everything was okay, but for me, that was a blow. I lost everything I worked for my whole life: my entire career because of her. She denies that. That was a big blow for me.
Since the divorce, his ex-wife presents herself in strong poses on Instagram – solo or with her son from a previous relationship:
Woman posts video after divorce showing Boombl4 using drugs
This is what he says about the relationship: Boombl4 says that during his time with his wife, he transferred about $530,000 to her to clear her mortgage, finance her various cosmetic treatments, take care of her child, and buy her clothes.
Once, she came out of the shower without her teeth in her mouth. When he saw that, she was startled and ran back into the bathroom. After the incident, she filed a report about domestic violence with the police.
Later he learned that his wife had slept with another man just before he proposed to her. For him, that was fine since they had just been separated.
Even during the divorce, she seized his phone and searched for messages. Apparently, she believed Boombl4 was gay. He says, however, that he only has a close friend.
After the divorce, she tried to blackmail him for money and ultimately posted a video of him using drugs through his nose. The player says: That happened once during their vacation in Mexico when he also made her the promise to marry her.

This is his lesson from the marriage: The player says:
You need to listen more to your friends, your family and relatives, but unfortunately, I listened to my heart. Today I know that I should have listened to my head.
Now he really wants to play for a top team in CS:GO again. Which team, he says, does not matter to him at the moment. He is still young and wants a chance to prove himself.
Much better than for him went the relationship of Twitch streamer Asmongold with an influencer:
The MMORPG “Noah’s Heart” will be officially playable from the end of July and makes a dream come true for fans of Sword Art Online: It creates a world that closely resembles that of the anime.
In late June 2020, the developers Archosaur Games announced the MMORPG and showed the first trailer. The beta launched in December 2021. From July 14, 2022, Android users can download the finished game, and from July 28, PC players can as well.
What kind of game is it? In this free-to-play fantasy MMORPG, you create a character and explore the planet Noah.
These are the features of the MMO:
Detailed character creation
Your character is not bound to a class
You fight with sword and shield, bow, dual blades, or a spear, but you can switch
The story is similar as well. The virtual environment in Noah’s Heart was created by a mysterious construct called “Cube”. What exactly Cube intends and why it created this world can be discovered by players throughout the story. Like in the anime series SAO, the world of Noah’s Heart is “virtual”.
In 2020, the developers already released a trailer showcasing the gameplay of Noah’s Heart:

Additionally, Noah’s Heart allows numerous ways to navigate the game world. For example, through mounts, trains, ships, motorcycles, and helicopters.
There are at least three crafting options: cooking, smithing, and tailoring
Real-Life-Sim: The MMO emphasizes role-playing
Within the story, you make decisions that actually have consequences. For instance, you can let NPCs die, and the story progresses completely differently for you than for your fellow players.
Who is the game suitable for? Fans of Sword Art Online will probably love Noah’s Heart. But even players who have not (yet) seen the anime might enjoy this MMORPG. Anyone who likes colorful graphics and anime style is definitely in the right place.
Also, MMO fans who value story should take a look at Noah’s Heart. The interactive narrative influenced by your decisions stands in contrast to many other games, where the story is rather secondary.
What do you think of Noah’s Heart? Do you like the colorful graphics, or do you prefer it a bit darker? Does it remind you of the anime Sword Art Online, or does it show too many differences? Will you download the MMORPG and give it a try? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
Guild Wars 2 is known for catering to casual players and focusing on the evolution of the game world and story. Although the first raids were introduced in 2015, these instances have been dropped since 2019. Instead, the so-called strike missions were established. And the newest hard mode of these is truly challenging.
What kind of strike mission is this? In strike missions, bosses from the story or open world are usually packed into an instance where they can be fought and defeated by a group of 10 players.
In the last mission, the Harvest Temple, this is absolutely true. There, the final boss of the expansion was challenged once again. However, to defeat this one boss, even the strongest guild needed nearly 5 days. Therefore, hardcore players are currently more than satisfied.
Guild shows over 31 hours of fails at the boss, wiped even at 1%
How did the progress proceed in Guild Wars 2?
The new challenge mode for the Harvest Temple was released on Tuesday, June 28 at 6:00 PM German time.
Only on Sunday, July 3 at 5:18 PM was the boss defeated for the first time. The well-known raid guild Snow Crows, which also creates class guides and DPS benchmarks, achieved the World First. Before that, they even wiped at 1% health (via reddit).
The Snow Crows showed around 31 hours of their fights against the boss Soo-Won live on Twitch. MightyTeapot and Mela, who with their group achieved the second kill a few hours later, even showed over 60 hours in which they struggled with the boss fight.
You can watch how the World First went down in this clip:

How does the boss perform overall? Very well. In normal mode, many guilds have already managed to defeat the Harvest Temple, which is also an adjusted version of the great world boss battle from the last area. Most players have already defeated the dragon Soo-Won themselves.
In challenge mode, however, the fight is so difficult that it poses a tough test even for many experienced raiders. Precisely this combination is appreciated by nearly every player:
The reddit user Alakazarm writes: ‘What incredibly entertaining days. Many thanks to Cameron [developer] and everyone else involved in bringing such content to GW2. It greatly contributes to making the game feel like the great MMO it is.’
Subversiontwo also expresses enthusiasm: ‘Not only congratulations to Snow Crows, but also to the developers who have finally started taking the right direction. This type of content, the fight for World Firsts, always held the potential that the strike missions had.’
The German streamer Roca, for example, switched to Final Fantasy XIV a few years ago because he missed the challenge in Guild Wars 2. However, he followed the progress of the Harvest Temple eagerly and even roughly compared it to the Ultimates from FFXIV. For the latest raid, players also spent six days.
In the end, he draws the conclusion that the hard mode in GW2 and the ultimate raid in FFXIV can both do things better than the other, but both are primarily a gain for hardcore players.

Guild Wars 2 receives the toughest content yet and simultaneously brings easy modes for raids
What path is Guild Wars 2 taking regarding hardcore content? A very interesting one. Because the new hard mode is the most difficult content in the game. For comparison:
The previous hardest content, the challenge mode of the raid Hall of Chains, also lasted nearly 5 days (via Guildnews).
At the same time, it has been decided to simplify the entry into the old raids. Since 2015, an easy mode has been demanded to guide players who are less experienced to the bosses and raids. This was also released with the patch on June 28.
Thus, the patch brought both an easier entry into the old raids and really difficult content for hardcore players. Many fans hope this is the direction to continue in.
What’s next in Guild Wars 2? The developers have several things planned for 2022. New story content is expected to continue the story of End of Dragons. Additionally, three episodes from the old Living World Season 1, which are set to return content from 2013, have yet to be released this year.
Furthermore, Guild Wars 2 is also expected to launch on Steam this year, attracting new players. For the long-term future, a fourth expansion is also planned:
The community marketplace on Steam is a feature that probably not many of you actively use. Especially the emoticons offered there are rarely purchased for a few euros. However, Brian Haugh does not just buy them, he collects a very specific one, and you could even make him rich by selling the special emoticon.
Which emoticons are we talking about? Brian Haugh collects Steam hot dog emoticons created by Valve to promote the Steam Summer Sale 2016. The “:2016weiner:” emoticons, as they are called on Steam, look like a hot dog. This hot dog has little arms and legs and even wears shoes.
How many hot dog emoticons does Brian have? Brian Haugh told the online magazine Kotaku.com that he has spent over $250 on hot dog emoticons and currently owns 2,525 (as of June 30).
Brian causes price spikes through bulk purchases
What impact does Brian have on the Steam market? Brian Haugh has the curious goal of owning all hot dog emoticons on Steam. According to Kotaku, he keeps track of his over 2,500 acquired hot dog emoticons in a spreadsheet called “Wieners purchased over time.”
Brian even made bulk purchases in his quest for hot dog emoticons, which could in turn influence the Steam market. Through Steam’s data visualization combined with his own spreadsheet, Brian reportedly has evidence, according to Kotaku, that these bulk purchases led to price spikes of the emoticons.
He cites the example that on days when he would have bought each individual emoticon worth $0.03 to $0.10, the next day only emoticons worth $0.11 would have been sold.
Will Brian get rich from his hot dogs?
How could you make Brian rich? The number of hot dog emoticons on Steam is limited. Brian already owns 2,525 pieces and Steam records a total of 2,696 purchases – 2,605 purchases for $1.18 or less and 92 purchases of $1.50 or more (as of July 4, 2022, 1 PM).
Even though there is no exact number of how many “:2016weiner:” emoticons are available, these numbers suggest that Brian owns a large portion of the hot dog emoticons. If Brian were to actually own all of them someday, he could freely determine the average selling price of the wiener emoticons.
Given the fact that “:2016weiner:” emoticons are limited, it is quite possible that the value of the hot dogs could significantly increase in the distant future if other collectors suddenly develop interest in the sausages.
Thus, we do not know whether the hot dogs with tiny shoes will become a valuable collector’s item, the price of which would depend on a single person – Brian Haugh – if he owns them all. However, it may be that Brian has created a valuable asset.
A sausage monopoly, if you will. If enough other collectors jump on the bandwagon, high prices are certainly conceivable, and the investment of $250 could easily multiply. But that remains pure speculation.
What value do the emoticons have? The price for the “:2016weiner:” emoticons has recently risen significantly when they are offered.
While most sales of the hot dog emoticons at 2,501 were made for under $0.41, the most recent sale was for $1.24. By comparison: that is still more expensive than the popular co-op game Payday 2 in the Steam Summer Sale 2022 costs.
Purchase Orders “:2016weiner:” emoticons via Steam
In general, some Steam users seem to be reacting to the report from the website Kotaku and want to exploit Brian’s collector’s desire.
The report from Kotaku went online on Friday, July 1. Previous sales were at $0.07 and $0.05. On Friday, the price shot up to as much as $4.73. A total of 16 “:2016weiner:” emoticons were sold for over $4.40 that day. Even after that, the price remained well above $0.41 or $0.07.
At a price of $4.00, Brian’s approximately 2,500 sausages would already be worth over $10,000. As Kotaku reports, there is even a hot dog emoticon that is offered for $400. If Brian successfully sells his 2,525 emoticons and adjusts the average price to around $400, he would realmente be a millionaire.
Price Development “:2016weiner:” emoticons via Steam
Why does Brian collect the emoticons? When Brian was 16 years old, he played Mount and Blade: Napoleonic Wars as part of a group. In the summer of 2016, the hot dog emoticon was released, which he was totally excited about and spammed, as Brian told Kotaku.
Spamming the emoticon annoyed the game master, so he prohibited the use of emoticons and revoked Brian’s right to use the hot dog emoticon.
As a form of revenge, Brian and his friends decided to troll the server’s admin with the emoticons and spammed “:2016weiner:” emoticons until they were kicked from the server, he recounted. To celebrate the successful trolling, Brian then began to buy the emoticon in large quantities.

A player from the Overwatch 2 beta discovered a toenail reference to the well-known Twitch streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel (26). He was previously a pro in Overwatch 1 and has a special relationship with his toenails.
What does the xQc reference in Overwatch 2 look like? In the video on reddit, the viewer hears the character Junkrat say in English:
You look like a gentleman who eats his own toenails!
When asked why Junkrat says that, he only replies: ‘I’m just looking for something we might have in common…’
This might seem like a bit of a strange dialogue to those who do not recognize the reference at first. But it fits Junkrat well, as he is clearly odd.
If you know Twitch streamer xQc, you’ll quickly see the hint that Blizzard inserted here in Overwatch 2.
User u/PepegaW, who posted the video, also wrote as the title: ‘xQc and Junkrat have something in common…’
Here you can see a gameplay trailer for Junker Queen:

The story behind xQc’s toenail reference in Overwatch 2
Who is xQc? The Canadian streamer xQc was a pro player in Overwatch in 2016. However, his career was short as he repeatedly made headlines for inappropriate behavior. He is now considered one of the most successful Twitch streamers internationally with 10.9 million followers.
On his channel, he plays not only Overwatch but also games like CS:GO or Fall Guys. For example, he opened CS:GO loot boxes in his streams before.
What is the reference about? The Overwatch 2 beta seems to refer to a strange quirk of the successful Twitch streamer xQc with this statement.
xQc is known for repeatedly doing a particular thing in his Twitch streams: He has chewed on his toenails several times during his streams. An example can be seen here on YouTube.
He has also posted about it on Twitter:
‘I really can’t stop chewing or picking at my fingers or my toes every 10 seconds. I do that automatically […]’
In the MMORPG Lost Ark, there has been a fierce battle against bots since the release. This battle seems to be won for now, but players are skeptical about whether it will remain so in the long term. Despite the generally good mood, a new problem has emerged. We at MeinMMO summarize.
What has Lost Ark done about bots? Over the past few months, bots have repeatedly been a hot topic in the MMORPG. Some servers were long overrun by these automated characters, and players accused publisher Amazon of merely watching.
However, in June, Amazon launched a major attack against the bots and banned over 600,000 accounts in just one week. Some fans were not satisfied, fearing that this measure would only solve the problem temporarily and that the bots would soon return to the game.
With the large update on June 30, the publisher has added some mechanics to the game that are intended to keep bots at bay. Now, from time to time, players must solve a CAPTCHA when they want to enter a new area.
Additionally, gameplay changes have irritated bots, such as the requirement to keep valuable items for three days before they can be traded in any way. This limits the bots’ ability to trade for real money and seems to be bearing fruit. Fans are celebrating Amazon for these measures in the forums, and the mood is at a recent high point.
Furthermore, the demon Vykas came to the game with the June update – check her out in our trailer:
Start video

The player numbers are plummeting: As a result of the harsh sanctions against bots and real-money traders, the number of daily active accounts in Lost Ark is plummeting. While over 870,000 accounts were logged in simultaneously at the beginning of June, the MMORPG now has only 250,000 simultaneous players (via steamcharts.com).
And although the active fans of Lost Ark do not see this as a problem and are generally pleased that there are now more players than bots in the MMORPG, a new discussion suddenly emerges.
“We simply have too many servers”
What are the fans complaining about? The discussion itself is not new, but has been rekindled by the departure of all the bots. At the western release of the game, Lost Ark was heavily populated, leading Amazon to quickly install and launch many new servers for the MMORPG.
The entire region of Europe West, for example, only came into the game weeks after the launch and is largely deserted today. However, this problem is not limited to later-added servers; even actually lively regions sometimes feel deserted.
A fan on reddit recently drew a comparison to the Korean version, providing fodder for discussion. He notes that in Korea, there are about 260,000 simultaneous users online. They are distributed across 8 different servers and one region.
The West is currently showing similar numbers, namely 252,000 simultaneous users, but is currently spread across 58 servers in 5 regions.
Regions are essentially server clusters. While players can play together within the same region through roundabout means, it is not possible between regions.
Currently, there are 19 servers active only on Europe Central
The counter-argument: Some users in the comments find the uproar exaggerated and deem at least the high number of regions simply necessary. User ffiction8 also points out that players in the West are distributed across more than 10 different time zones and that, therefore, even though the peak of 24 players is almost identical, there would be significantly more actual players than in Korea.
Some comments consider the entire discussion pointless. User Ikrai1212 writes that more servers were simply necessary at launch. At the same time, it is now the case that there are too many servers. Both opinions do not have to exclude each other.
Additionally, there is discussion about what might happen to the Europe West region. While it is technically possible to close servers on the same cluster and migrate them to others, doing so with an entire region is not straightforward.
Smilegate and Amazon already confirmed in March that a transfer between regions is technically not possible. However, if player numbers on the Europe West server continue to decline, players fear that it could soon completely vanish.
“Amazon is in a no-win situation”
What is the mood among the fans? Despite the discussion about the servers, the overall mood surrounding the MMORPG has improved. The steps taken against the bots are disliked by some, yet the results are very well received.
This is also noticeable as soon as discussions in the forums shift to other topics. One quickly gets the impression that people are currently more positive towards Amazon than they were a few weeks ago. Even in the server discussion, many players point out that Amazon can hardly do anything right.
They had to bring more servers at launch to reduce the enormous waiting times, even though they knew that they could not easily turn them off again. Here, there is refreshingly much understanding for the publisher in the comment section.
What are the fans saying? We would like to share some of the comments so you can form your own opinion (via reddit):
RenegadeReddit writes: “Amazon is in a no-win situation. They had to set up more servers to handle the launch. Now they have no technology to merge them.”
Jiend wonders: “Why don’t they use the server structure of Guild Wars 2? They deploy their patches live without downtime. Not being able to play once a week is just crazy in 2022, regardless of how full these servers are in the end.”
Retrac says: “It would be great if each region were reduced to 5 servers. Comparing us directly with Korea isn’t possible anyway. We have 4 peak times a day over EU, NA, and OCE. So we should easily have 2 to 3 times more players than Korea.”
jimmyslol writes: “No matter how many servers. They lost 70% of the Steam population in one day. It’s crazy how many bots were in the game.”
Bogzy writes: “It has been a long battle against the bots, but it is finally showing results. Good job.”
What do you think of the current situation in Lost Ark? Are you still playing the MMORPG regularly? Do you still have problems with bots? How lively is your server right now? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
On the weekend, the big GO Fest took place in Pokémon GO in Berlin. Our MeinMMO author Franzi Korittke was on-site and is thrilled about the event. What she particularly enjoyed and what her highlight of the event was, she explains to you in this article.
What kind of event is it? After the global GO Fest in Pokémon took place in June, where all trainers from everywhere could participate, the GO Fest in Berlin marked a long-awaited return of a live event to Germany.
So, from July 1st to 3rd, numerous trainers gathered in Britzer Garten in Berlin. With an event ticket, you gained access to the park and could not only encounter countless spawns and receive cool bonuses but also be part of a special community experience.
Of course, I couldn’t miss the live event on Saturday and am totally thrilled by this experience. What I enjoyed so much and why I would participate again immediately, I will explain to you below.
Cool outfits and unique atmosphere
For me, the GO Fest in Berlin was the first big live event in Pokémon GO that I participated in. Due to the contact restrictions in the last two years, such events could only be conducted sporadically and on a smaller scale.
Therefore, I was even more delighted that in 2022, a live event by Pokémon GO could finally take place in Germany, and my husband and I headed to Berlin for the weekend.
International and dressed-up trainers: Already after the entrance, I was overwhelmed by how many people, especially from abroad, had come to Britzer Garten to participate in this event. I hadn’t imagined that there were so many trainers willing to travel such a long distance just to be part of the GO Fest in Berlin.
Additional eye-catchers included trainers who had dressed up especially for the event. Two of them were trainers Kerubia and Rakurim, who dressed as Vaporeon and Jolteon. I immediately noticed them because of their costumes and struck up a conversation with them.
As Kerubia told me, they receive a lot of positive feedback on the costumes, many players enjoy it, which is why they like to dress accordingly for such events. And I also found the outfit to be very successful.

Special atmosphere and vibe
I was especially impressed by the unique atmosphere of the event. Despite the many people and the occasional language barrier, all the trainers I encountered and spoke with were incredibly open. Even though you didn’t know each other at all, it felt like you were chatting with old acquaintances.
There is a positive vibe in the community: With this wonderful atmosphere on-site, I felt swept away by this positive energy. Not just for a moment, but throughout the entire day, again and again. For example, suddenly countless trainers flowed past us, all heading in one direction.
The reason for this migration was a level 100 Snorlax in a cowboy hat, which was spotted at the other end of the park. And even though my husband and I actually didn’t want to stress ourselves while catching Pokémon that day, we almost automatically joined this crowd in the hope of reaching the Snorlax in time before it disappeared again.
Even though it didn’t work out in our case and the Snorlax was already gone, we still had a lot of fun.
Habitats and eye-catchers: From my perspective, Niantic also made a special touch by setting up the various habitats visually. For instance, the “Windy Coast” habitat could be recognized directly by the lighthouse that was set up.
And other lovely details and highlights, such as the encounter with Pikachu, rounded off the event and made me feel part of the game.
Special highlights of the GO Fest in Berlin
Level 5 raid with group photo: Another example of this unique atmosphere was seen at the end of the event. For the grand finale of the second event day, there was to be a joint level 5 raid with Cresselia in which the trainers could participate. A large group photo was planned afterward.
For this reason, countless trainers gathered in front of the team lounge. After the raid egg finally hatched, hundreds of trainers attempted to open the gym simultaneously, causing the game to crash for most people, and some even had their mobile network go down.
Normally, this would lead to intense criticism in the community, but I felt the mood remained lively and people were happy for those who finally made it into the raid lobby.
And even during the subsequent photo, there was much cheering. Niantic concluded the group photo for the second event day with a special fireworks display, further highlighting the unique atmosphere that prevailed in that moment.

My personal highlight of the GO Fest in Berlin
Apart from the unique atmosphere that simply swept you away, the GO Fest in Berlin also brought me my personal highlight: the various autograph sessions.
During these, you could meet both German and international content creators, such as Spieletrend, ChaosLady, Couple of Gaming, or Trainer Tips. And we had planned to attend one of these events as well.
However, while walking through the park, we suddenly encountered Billy Lutz, who is known on social media and on YouTube as The Trainer Club. I really enjoy his content, so I was even happier when we briefly chatted and managed to take a photo together.
Billy from The Trainer Club
By the way: ChaosLady recently gave us an interview about Wayfarer and explained what you need to pay attention to when submitting PokéStops.
Of course, my haul of spawns and shinies was really good. I was able to catch a total of 10 shinies, all of which I didn’t have before. And I also liked the Pokémon that were in the spawns of the various habitats.
Especially noteworthy were the Incognito spawns. They appeared every hour for exactly 2 minutes in the game. This allowed participants to secure 2 shiny Incognitos and also work on their “Incognito” medal. So I finally had the opportunity to meet Vegimak and Sodamak.
Due to the shortened hatching distance, I also hatched tons of eggs. Since there were PokéStops and gyms everywhere, obtaining supplies was no problem at all. By completing new research tasks, I also managed to catch some strong monsters from the rewards.
While there is praise, there is also criticism of the GO Fest in Berlin
However, there were also things I didn’t like as much on-site. This includes that at the entrance controls, sometimes no drinks were allowed to be brought inside. However, there was also no clear procedure, as some were not allowed to bring any bottles, others only small ones, and some even brought several 1.5-liter bottles with them.
Therefore, I found the price for drinks in the park relatively high at 5.00 euros for a non-alcoholic drink. Especially since it was pre-announced on Niantic’s website that water bottles could be brought in as long as they are sealed.
The free refill stations for water that were available were, in my opinion, always overcrowded and far too few in relation to the number of people in the park. So for future events, this should be improved.
Even though there is this one point of criticism, the positive aspects of the event outweigh for me. The unique feeling on-site, which is hard to put into words, the new contacts I was able to make, and my meeting with The Trainer Club made the live event perfect for me.
In addition, there were cool spawns and bonuses, as well as a really great conclusion to the second GO Fest day in Berlin. In fact, I have never experienced a comparable event of this kind and would therefore participate again immediately, perhaps even in another country, and I would recommend it to you as well.
Were you there at the GO Fest in Berlin? If so, what was your personal highlight of the event? And what did you not like at all? Will you participate in such an event again? Feel free to share your opinion with us here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers.
Who Destiny 2 plays, will also occasionally be shot at by enemies. This is unavoidable. Or is it? Over the weekend, an impressive video circulated, in which a well-known player consistently avoids just that. He has probably finally crowned himself the undisputed god in PvE. MyMMO shows you his achievement and says what he is planning next.
In Destiny 2, there are enemies everywhere. When playing in a team, their fire is at least somewhat distributed. But if you’re playing solo, everything just shoots at you. Sooner or later, you’re bound to take a hit.
Enemies target you when you are detected and start shooting immediately.
There are airstrikes and sneaky environmental damage in many places that can hit you.
And occasionally, a grenade flies at you that you might have overlooked.
But Esoterickk, a Destiny 2 player, YouTuber, and exceptional gamer, has now avoided all that.
A previously unique achievement: In his latest video, you can see Esoterickk playing the Nightfall strike “The Arms Dealer” on the “Grandmaster” difficulty level without being hit by an enemy even once.

Simply not getting hit – For Esoterik a piece of cake
Who is this player Esoterickk actually? Even though hardly anyone knows his face, YouTuber Esoterickk has been well-known in the Destiny 2 community for a long time. He has made a name for himself by mastering even the toughest activities easily solo. As a result, he has long been considered one of the best PvE players, leaving us average guardians in awe.
Raid and dungeon bosses are taken down solo and sometimes even without weapons.
He plays strikes on the hardest difficulty, “Grandmaster,” so confidently and coolly that they look like an easy activity from the standard playlist.
Hardly anyone in the Destiny 2 community actually expected him to top his previous feats in Bungie’s space shooter. But that’s exactly what he has now done.
His leap into death at the end of each activity he completes is thus symbolic of the fact that the only thing that can kill him is himself.
The only thing that can kill Esoterik is himself.
Other players can only dream of this: Currently, guardians in Season 17 are using “Restoration” to survive solo and reduce incoming damage as effectively as possible.
Esoterickk modestly states about his latest achievement that not getting hit was just “the next logical step”. Not taking damage is, for him, “not particularly challenging”.
That’s something I’ve been thinking about for years, I just never got around to it because there was always something else to do or other ways to accomplish things that seemed more interesting at the time. Not taking damage is not particularly challenging and leads to some slow moments, but it’s pretty much the only “challenge” left to tackle.
How did Esoterik come up with this idea? Playing an activity without taking damage even once may have been inspired by Rylee Reloaded, who already played the entire Witch Queen campaign without taking damage.
The inspiration comes from other games that Esoterickk has played.
However, as Esoterickk himself mentions, it is more likely that he was inspired by his own forays into other games.
He has already fought against the 218 bosses in Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls 1, 2 & 3, Bloodborne, and Sekiro without taking damage in a 12-hour video.
And because he can, he naturally played it solo in Elden Ring again, just with melee, without summoning and also without parrying.
On YouTube, a Destiny 2 player puts it succinctly by commenting: “That’s amazing, man. I think you’re officially the best player I’ve seen in all the games I enjoy playing.”
Do you want more Destiny 2 news? Then follow this link:
Esoterickk wants to top this achievement: The Nightfall strike “The Arms Dealer” is not considered one of the hardest in Destiny 2. However, it was probably just a small preliminary test for Esoterickk. He already has the next incredible plan, but first with cheese.
I think a similar approach would also work for Grandmaster, but in this case, I would use my old cheese spot to get through the beginning of the boss fight and then the grenade cheese on the boss itself to bypass that. The rest of the approach would be the same. I will probably play “Grandmaster” the same way and see if other Nightfalls are also doable for [No-Damage-Runs].
It is therefore to be expected that he will top this achievement and play the strike on “Grandmaster” difficulty. We are certainly excited to see what he will come up with next and how long he can continue to overshadow his own achievements.
What do you think of his achievement? Do you believe he is now the undisputed god of PvE? Or do you say, I can do better! Then let us know in the comments and share your opinion with the Destiny 2 community.

You want to take advantage of the nice weather and have set your desk in the sun or are even considering working outside? MeinMMO explains why you should not expose your monitor or display to direct sunlight.
It’s warm, and many users are taking advantage of the nice weather to work outside or at least in the sun. Such a desk can quickly be placed in the sun. However, your monitor does not necessarily appreciate being exposed to direct sunlight.
Heat and UV radiation can damage monitors
Can the sun damage my monitor? The light of the sun itself is not the problem, but the UV radiation. The UV radiation from direct sunlight quickly makes plastics brittle, weak, and accelerates the wear of your hardware.
Windows can filter certain UV radiation. However, it depends on what is installed in your apartment. Windows made of safety glass, for example, filter out UVB radiation. This is the radiation that supplies you with vitamin D but can also cause sunburn.
Long-wave UVA radiation still comes in large part through the window. Experts say that high, constant concentrations of UVA radiation can harm the skin (via Velux Magazin)
The display unit itself can also be damaged by direct sunlight. Both LCD, LED, and OLED displays can be harmed by the sun or at least have malfunctions (via thenaturehero.com). Be sure to also check the manual that comes with each monitor. For older plasma TVs, there was always a warning not to expose the device to direct sunlight.
Additionally, direct sunlight creates heat. This means that the monitor has to operate at higher temperatures, which is always detrimental for electronic devices. In the event of overheating, many devices usually shut down. However, it may be worth it to properly shut down your gaming PC instead of just leaving it in standby mode.
PC hardware does not belong outdoors: Monitors and most computer hardware are not meant to be outside. Monitors or computers are not purchased as outdoor devices, but are usually designed for use in an apartment or an office. So if you see pictures on Reddit of people setting up their equipment in the garden, you should not do the same.
No matter if monitor, desktop PC, or laptop, no device likes high temperatures for long. Because if you are not damaging your hardware, at least the processor and graphics card in your PC will throttle their performance to keep temperatures in check.
Therefore, we would generally advise you to take time to cool your computer or hardware. Sometimes it is sufficient to simply relocate your PC and remove it from a dusty corner or clean the dust filters from pet hair:
In League of Legends , the Twitch streamer Joseph Oscedo Hursey is known as “Cowsep”. He is a “One Trick Pony”, he only plays a single champion: Master Yi. However, he believes that the champion is in worse shape than ever in LoL. This also affects his career. But switching champions? Never!
Cowsep is completely devoted to the champion “Master Yi”, actually a classic “starter champion” known as a newbie killer in the beginner areas.
Cowsep has been playing LoL since 2009 and has lived in South Korea since 2012. On Twitch, he has about 720,000 followers, with an average of 1,000 people watching him. Last year, he was on air for over 1,550 hours.
The biggest LoL streamer on Twitch today started out as a “One Trick Pony” for Draven:

LoL nerfs Master Yi for killing too many beginners
This champion he is dedicated to: Master Yi is one of the original champions in LoL, he has been in the game since 2009 and costs only 450 Blue Essence – practically everyone can buy the champ right from the start.
Master Yi is a kind of samurai melee fighter with the ability to heal himself and deal “True Damage”: He is a tank killer and is used in the top lane or jungle.
Especially in the beginner and “Low Elo” area, Master Yi is considered a strong character. But in March 2022, Riot Games had enough and brought out the big nerf: Before that, Master Yi benefited greatly from “On Hit” effects.
Since the nerf, Master Yi is practically considered “unplayable.”
Master Yi
This is what he says about the state of his champion: Cowsep knows better than anyone else how bad the condition of his only champion has been for some months now. In an interview with Inven, he explains:
Right now, Master Yi is in the worst state I have ever seen him. I play in Korea, and in the current ELO I am playing, Master Yi has a win rate of 41%. I have never seen such a bad champ. He is really bad.
Cowsep advises his viewers to just play Master Yi for fun, especially in “low Elo” he is still quite okay. However, the higher you play with him, the worse it gets. Players should take comfort in the fact that he now has a low ban rate.

At the moment, Master Yi is down – but Cowsep hopes for a big patch.
You actually have to switch from a single champion, but Cowsep loves Master Yi too much
How does this affect his streaming career? Cowsep says the Yi-nerf has hit him hardest on YouTube: People just don’t search for videos about the champion that much anymore:
That’s the downside of being a one-trick pony. It really sucks. You are at the mercy of the patches and how your champ performs.
If you don’t play your champ, even fewer people will watch. That’s bad too. Ultimately, your goal is to move away from that.
But Cowsep’s problem is: He just likes the champion so much that he can’t stop playing him.
One day he might want to expand and try out other champs like Volibear or Wukong.
He looks with envy at people who can simply switch to trendy meta champions:
It’s a difference like day and night: How hard I have to struggle in this game [with Master Yi]. When you play these meta champions… they just play themselves.
Cowsep doesn’t have a concrete time when he will leave Master Yi and switch to one of those cool meta champions. He just says: One day he will do it!
At the moment, he finds variety mainly by switching servers – since he doesn’t want to switch champions.
We recently reported on another “One Trick Pony” that caused Riot Games to change LoL:
A blog post has revealed new information about Diablo Immortal. However, it mainly concerns the release in Asian countries. The “roadmap” does not bring what fans have been eagerly waiting for.
The key points at a glance
On the morning of July 4th, a new roadmap was published on the official Diablo Immortal blog.
It concerns the release in Asia, which is set for July 7th.
Without new updates, the tier list of Diablo Immortal hardly changes. The strongest classes remain strong, and the weakest stay weak. See class gameplay in the video here:

Diablo Immortal: All 6 Classes in Brief Overview with Gameplay
What kind of roadmap is this? In the latest blog post, Blizzard explains that Diablo Immortal will be released in Asian countries on July 7th. The post is almost identical to the roadmap for the release in the West.
Interestingly, China is missing from the list of countries mentioned. Diablo Immortal will not be released there either, which likely stems from a single sentence:
Diablo Immortal launches in Asia, but real info is lacking
What’s missing from the roadmap? There are no real insights about the future of Diablo Immortal in the blog post. The only new information mentions issues with the PC beta. It states that player feedback is still being collected to improve the PC client. The last and only patch so far was on June 10, as well as a nerf of farm areas on June 17.
However, there is no information about new content. Diablo Immortal was released on June 2, 2022. Since the launch, the only new content has been another raid boss that is way too hard. There is a lack of information about the game’s future.
Updates are currently the topic that interests the community the most. New posts appear daily on social media, predicting the death of Diablo Immortal or asking how things will proceed.
Many have nothing more to do in the endgame of Diablo Immortal or encounter too high loot limits to be motivated for the grind anymore. Many are still interested, but want to return only when they have a reason to play again.
A major problem is the legendary gems, which can only be farmed in limited quantities. In the video, we explain what it’s all about:
Start video
Diablo Immortal: What are legendary gems? Facts and locations in 3 minutes
Even now, three days before the end of the Battle Pass, there are still no new updates regarding upcoming changes. The roadmap merely repeats already known details about the system requirements of Diablo Immortal as well as supported controllers and information about cross-progression and crossplay.
This is what Blizzard says: We submitted a request to Blizzard some time ago to find out how things will progress with Diablo Immortal. However, the response indicated that there is currently no information available, but that it will come soon.
You can soon read a more in-depth analysis here on MeinMMO about how the game is currently doing and what the major issues are.
Meanwhile, in the community, the game is criticized for having strong similarities to another mobile MMO:
