The Russian CS:GO professional Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov (23) proposed to his then-girlfriend live during a tournament in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (Steam) in November 2021. Not even a year later, the divorce is finalized. The wife seems to be doing everything to destroy the reputation and career of the pro.
What kind of marriage proposal was that?
- Boombl4 is an experienced professional in CS:GO and was captain for “Natus Vincere”, one of the best teams in the world, for several years. However, he was released at the end of May.
- In November 2021, Natus Vincere won a major tournament, the PGL in Stockholm. In an exciting match, the Ukrainian-Russian team narrowly defeated G2. The Ukrainian, s1mple, an absolute star, held the trophy up high. Everyone in the team pocketed $200,000 in prize money.
- However, the highlight came when the team captain of Natus Vincere, Boombl4, proposed to his girlfriend in the main hall. He said his girlfriend was watching from Moscow, and he asked her if she wanted to marry him. The audience cheered with joy (via upcomer).
Player says: He has divorced and his wife is blackmailing him
Here’s how it turned out now: Not good at all. In the meantime, the war in Ukraine has broken out: While Boombl4 spoke for peace, his wife appeared with the Russian flag painted on her face on Instagram. She apparently supports the war.
Boombl4’s career at Natus Vincere ended a few weeks ago: The team stated he posed too high a risk. He was released after the PGL tournament in Antwerp. Again, Boombl4 had played for Natus Vincere and led the team to the finals. But there, they lost to FaZe.
So the job was already gone for Boombl4.

These are the new allegations: The culmination came today. Boombl4 says: He has divorced his wife and was blackmailed on the same day with a variety of “photos, videos, and a large amount of misinformation.”
According to the site Dotesports reports, his ex-wife, Angelika “LiQueen” Mikhailova, released a video in which Boombl4 apparently consumes the synthetic drug Mephedrone, a substance compared to cocaine and ecstasy (via twitter).
Additionally, she has published several postings on Telegram saying that Boombl4 is addicted to the drug. She also published intimate photos of him.
The player says these are false statements. He intends to pursue a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife.
It seems that quite a lot has gone wrong in the few months between the marriage proposal and now.
