In the online shooter Fortnite , 17-year-old Cody “Clix” Conrod was the biggest streamer on Twitch in 2022. However, he missed the mark three times last month, says our MeinMMO author Schuhmann. With the actions that Clix is currently drawing attention for, our author really wishes Tfue and Ninja would come back.
What was the problem with Ninja back in the day? The streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was the biggest Fortnite streamer on Twitch at the height of Fortnite in 2018 and overall the biggest streamer in the world:
Ninja was extremely ambitious and swore like a sailor. When he lost, it was generally because others had cheated or the world conspired against him. Words like “Fuck” were used by Ninja like punctuation.
However, when he and Fortnite were successful and many kids were watching him, Blevins had to hold back and put on a facade. Many of his old fans found the “new Ninja” to be “inauthentic,” even though it was still clear that he was struggling when he lost.
Aside from his ambition, delusions of grandeur, and an unwavering desire to ride the Fortnite hype as hard as he could, one could hardly accuse Ninja of anything else.
He was certainly capable of self-irony and behaved correctly most of the time, unless he was completely high on Red Bull and lost in the moment.
How did Ninja’s reign end? Ninja discovered Fortnite early on when hardly anyone knew the game and even fewer had mastered it: He dominated many “normal players” and looked great when he took out 8 opponents at once. During this time, his channel grew to enormous proportions, and he is still the biggest Twitch streamer in terms of followers today.
But as it became about big money in Fortnite starting in 2019 and more young talents entered the game, Ninja’s star fell and younger players, who trained harder, like Tfue, overtook him.
In 2020, Tfue became the biggest Fortnite streamer, but he had other plans.
Tfue looked like the clear successor to Ninja – But Clix surpassed him
Who became his successor?? There were several candidates for who would be the natural successor of Ninja as the “King of Fortnite” starting in 2020.
For a long time, it seemed that Turner “Tfue” Tenney (24), a younger and better player than Ninja (31), who competed with him in 2019 and quickly climbed into the tens of millions of followers.
In 2020, Tfue was also the biggest Fortnite streamer in the world. However, without Ninja as a rival, Tfue eventually dropped out, got muscular, and played Minecraft. Tfue seemed to never really be interested in the “business side” of Twitch, sued his own organization, and preferred to live away from the action with his father at the beach in Florida.

The 14-year-old Clix in 2020 used his Fortnite earnings to buy a powerful PC.
Clix has been a huge Fortnite streamer since 2020, the biggest in the world last year
Ultimately, Clix prevailed, who was only 14 years old in 2020. Clix was someone who succeeded at the World Cup, meaning he could play Fortnite really well, but he was also someone who could shine on camera at Twitch:
Looking at the last year, the last 365 days, Clix was by far the world’s biggest Fortnite streamer on Twitch
In the calendar year 2021, he was at least the biggest English-speaking Twitch streamer for Fortnite
Even in 2020, at age 14, he was only narrowly behind Tfue.

Everything you need to know about the battle royale shooter Fortnite
At 16, Clix got into trouble with Fortnite and Twitch, was almost out
When he then launched as a Twitch streamer, it became clear that Clix would do anything for success and still seemed very immature, which one cannot blame him for at 16. Nevertheless, he had a huge audience and quickly found himself consistently in trouble with the authorities in his life:
So by 2021, Clix had already proven that he – unlike Ninja – had real issues staying relatively clean.
From all these problems, he always managed to get out again with the same tactic:
He portrayed himself as an innocent victim
referred to his young age and swore to take everything more seriously and improve
additionally, he used his massive reach to put pressure on fans so that he could ultimately continue to stream on Twitch and play Fortnite.
Clix makes big mistakes 3 times in 31 days
What is now Clix’s problem? The older Clix gets, the more difficult his decisions seem. Clix has now managed to get himself into hot water three times in 31 days.
That was the matter with Andrew Tate: On July 24, Clix got photographed on Twitter with Andrew Tate and the phrase “Bros before hoes”. The viewers were apparently supposed to witness live how Clix, with the help of “macho Tate,” becomes a real man.
He staged a talk with the extremely controversial Tate, in which Clix planned to lose his innocence. For that, he wanted to get tips from the kickboxer Tate, who clearly has experience in such matters as a “real man.”
Clix assembled Tate, a friend of the same age, and his flame, a young blonde woman, for a virtual conversation that was broadcast on Twitch.
The discussion did not go very well. Tate, after all, offered to take the young woman himself once she turns 18 if Clix wasn’t able to.
A young woman, whom Clix supposedly had a crush on, sat in during the talk and smiled nicely – her role didn’t grow any larger.
In the days that followed, drama ensued on Twitter over the young woman, who supposedly cheated on him and from whom he broke up or somehow not. For Clix, the supposed love affair quickly turned into a soap opera that he staged for the fans.
Tate, who was already controversial a month ago, is now a complete “persona non grata” who has been banned from all social platforms. Clix apparently used the interim popularity of Tate to create “personal relationship content” for his followers.
Clix and the alleged beloved.
Clix plays a promotional tournament in problematic Saudi Arabia
That was the matter with Saudi Arabia: Shortly thereafter, on July 25, Clix posted a tweet showing him hanging out in a hotel pool in Saudi Arabia. There he took the opportunity to participate in a highly lucrative show tournament: Fortnite was played for $2 million.

Epic emphasized that they are not hosting this tournament and have nothing to do with it.
Other Twitch streamers consciously withdrew from the event because they did not want to contribute to improving the PR of an unjust state like Saudi Arabia.
The event was suspected of being a propaganda event to recommend Saudi Arabia as a cool travel destination and the Mecca of e-sports to a young generation.
Even Twitch streamer Mizkif, who is considered quite shameless, withdrew his participation from the event when he realized what kind of country Saudi Arabia is and what was behind this apparently harmless invitation.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec0_yNJBNjc
For Clix, this apparently wasn’t an issue at all.
He proudly showed off a freshly painted BMW M5 afterwards. He called the trip to Saudi Arabia “fantastic.”

Clix is now somehow involved in racism in rap, quickly deletes everything
This is the latest incident: Now, on August 23, Clix somehow managed to get involved in an incident regarding racism in rap, although he himself did not rap (via nyt). However, Clix promoted the song “Florida Water” by FN Meka and Gunna so much that he positioned himself as one of the artists behind the song.
The Fortnite professional had managed to present himself as the maker of the song even though he has no lines in the song’s video (via youtube).
The song is problematic because the character “FN Meka” is a virtually black rapper who addresses issues like police brutality in his lyrics and also uses the N-word. A group of black activists in the music industry, Industry Blackout, stated that this character is a caricature and a direct insult to Black people, a mix of disgusting stereotypes. They demanded that the label distribute the profits from the project to charitable causes and to black artists on their label.
The label distanced itself afterward from the rapper (via kotaku):
We offer our deepest apologies to the Black community for our insensitivity in committing to this project without first asking questions regarding the capital involvement and the creative process behind it.
They accused the company behind the rapper of “digital blackfacing.” The comments on YouTube for the song are, in any case, terrible.
The scandal seemed to even reach Clix himself. He has since deleted all indications on his social media channels that he promoted the song and was involved.
Clix’s management told Kotaku: Clix had chosen the track, meaning he had acquired the rights to it, while Gunna was already rapping the song. However, the label Capital Records insisted on involving the virtual rapper FN Meka. That was not the decision Twix wanted.
The most surprising part of the story seems to be that Clix actually has a manager who thought that the situations with Andrew Tate and Saudi Arabia were good ideas beforehand.
With all that one can accuse Ninja of, he had a sensible manager by his side, who always had the “long-term impact” of his brand in mind.
Tfue always seemed to be completely indifferent to such considerations.
Tfue is back – Maybe he’ll take up his legacy
Is there hope? Yes, indeed. If one looks at the last 30 days to see who had the most watched hours on Twitch for Fortnite, one can see that Clix ranks only 5th worldwide. The 17-year-old apparently has so much going on that he hardly finds time to stream Fortnite on Twitch.
In front of him, in 4th place worldwide, is actually Ninja. In 1st place in the last 30 days is Tfue.
Tfue has shown significantly more Fortnite on Twitch in the last 90 days than Clix and is currently in 1st place. Source. Sullygnome 1.
When looking at the last 90 days, Tfue is even significantly ahead of Clix in 1st place worldwide.
Perhaps there is still a chance that Tfue will take over the legacy that Ninja left behind in 2020. I never thought I would look forward to the day when Tfue is back and the biggest Fortnite streamer in the world.

During gamescom 2022, the developers of Tower of Fantasy announced the first expansion. The update brings a lot of new contentto the free MMORPG.
On Wednesday, August 24th, the developers Hotta Studios will present a new trailer for Tower of Fantasy, showcasing a new zone.
What kind of zone is it? The update throws you into a desert landscape and eventually leads you to the cyberpunk city of Mirroria City. In the “Vera” region, you will encounter previously unknown world bosses and can participate in new instances and raids. You should also be able to farm additional mounts there.
The corresponding city is the floating metropolis Mirroria City. Fitting the sci-fi setting of Tower of Fantasy, it impresses visually with strong cyberpunk elements. Everything looks futuristic, metallic, and is filled with neon signs.
In this city, the main story of the MMORPG will continue.

What kind of game is this anyway? Tower of Fantasy is a new anime MMORPG with gacha elements, reminiscent of Genshin Impact. It celebrated its global release on August 11, 2022, prior to that, the game was only available in China.
You create a character but are not bound to a fixed class. Instead, you are able to draw new characters, called Simulacra, which you can equip and upgrade.
Once you have combed through the initial story, various daily quests and content await you, which will further improve your character and provide you with resources for the gacha system.
Frigg as the new SSR character
Just a few days ago, the developers announced on the Tower of Fantasy Twitter account that a new playable character (called “Simulacrum” in Tower of Fantasy) will soon be added. Frigg, who you have only encountered as an NPC so far, will become part of your team starting in September.

From the story, you likely know Frigg as the commander of the heirs of Aida. In combat, you will have to battle against her multiple times.
The matching weapon of the Simulacrum is called Balmung: A sword in each hand, with which you attack quickly and perform ice attacks. Frigg belongs to the DPS classes in Tower of Fantasy.
When is the update coming? Hotta Studios will introduce the new character to the game on September 1st. There is currently no date for the new region, the trailer only mentions “Coming Soon”. It is expected that the new content will be added in the fall or winter of 2022.
What do you think about the new content in Tower of Fantasy? Are you looking forward to exploring the desert landscape and Mirroria City? Will you try to pull Frigg when the banner appears in September? What other Simulacra do you like to play? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
A well-known leaker showcases 3 characters from the action RPG Genshin Impact on Twitter, who were supposed to be revealed in September.
The leaks come from UBatcha, a person who has often been correct in the past. Therefore, we consider the information to be quite likely.
What has been leaked? In separate tweets, UBatcha shows videos from the beta of update 3.1. They briefly demonstrate the gameplay of 3 new characters: Nilou, Candace, and Cyno. We can see normal and charged attacks as well as elemental skills. UBatcha also provides a few short details for each video.
Nilou
The character Nilou is an elegant sword fighter of the element water. Visually, she resembles none of the previous characters in Genshin Impact.
She can use her elemental skill after a symbol appears above her head. Nilou then performs several Hydro attacks.
Her burst skill is an AoE attack. She creates a wave around her, shaped like a lotus, to attack enemies.
Visually, Candace resembles a mix between a witch and a pirate.
Her element is also water. However, she does not wield a sword but fights with a spear and occasionally uses a shield. This is unusual, as no other character in Genshin Impact holds a shield.
Candace uses the shield for normal attacks but also for her elemental skill. According to the tweet, you can tap or hold the button to charge the attack.
Cyno visually resembles the ancient Egyptian god Anubis, as his headgear has a similar shape. This gives him an immediately mystical vibe.
For this character, UBatcha provides no information as he needs to read the correct kit first. What we do see is that Cyno belongs to the electro type and wields a spear as a weapon.
Cyno’s elemental skill is, according to the video, an electric thrust that he executes with his weapon. His burst envelops him in electric energy while he attacks enemies with his hands.
It is important to keep in mind that these are just leaks. These are not official information from the developers. Until the content is officially announced, things may still change.
What do you think about the leaks? Do you find the user UBatcha credible? Or would you rather not get your hopes up too soon and wait for official announcements to avoid disappointment? Which of the 3 characters excites you the most? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
A player logged in daily to Genshin Impact for 2 years and has finally reached level 60:
The Pokémon GO Fest Finale 2022 is just around the corner and brings you numerous spawns and bonuses again. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at which Pokémon you should definitely secure for the finale event.
What is the event about? After this year’s GO Fest was celebrated especially grandly, the developers of Pokémon GO want to end it properly with a closing festival. So you can look forward to lots of content for the big GO Fest finale.
There will also be a rare specimen that you definitely shouldn’t miss.
When does the event take place? The closing event will take place on August 27, 2022, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM local time. Basically, anyone can participate, but there are also some contents reserved exclusively for ticket holders.
On the next pages, we will show you the rarest Pokémon that you should secure for the closing event and on page 11, which monsters might still be interesting for you.
[toc]
How to find the Pokémon? During the closing event for GO Fest 2022, you will encounter numerous Pokémon both in the wild and in raids. Additionally, some interesting Pokémon can be found in the exclusive incense for ticket holders.
For this reason, you should definitely secure some rare specimens. We have summarized which ones below. The order is based on the chronological sequence of the event. We also tell you for each Pokémon whether it is only available exclusively for ticket holders or if anyone can catch it.
1. Pikachu with Shaymin Scarf
Pikachu normal (left) and as Shiny (right)
Why is this Pokémon worth it? Although Pikachu is usually not particularly rare in Pokémon GO, it is worth taking the electric mouse with you during the closing event. This is mainly due to its unique costume.
Pikachu is dressed appropriately and wears a Shaymin scarf for the first time during the entire event. In this costume, it can also be caught in its shiny form, making it a very special specimen.
Just like with most other costumes of Pikachu, it is unclear whether it will be catchable in this form again in the future. This makes it particularly valuable for collectors.
How can you secure it for the closing event? The costumed Pikachu will likely encounter you more frequently during the closing event, as it spawns across all habitats and is obtainable regardless of ticket purchase.
If the specimens in the wild are not enough for you, you can also try your shiny luck in the level-1 raids. There, Pikachu with Shaymin scarf will also be available.
Can you catch a costumed shiny Pikachu? Yes, with some luck you will encounter Pikachu in its shiny form. This version has a slightly darker body than the normal variant.

The horror-comedy “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” from 1988 is becoming the namesake multiplayer game. You play as a clown or a human and compete in a 3v7 format.
During gamescom 2022, the developers Teravision showcased the trailer for “Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game” for the first time and announced the multiplayer game. It is released in collaboration with Randy Greenback, the Director of Friday the 13th: The Game, which no longer receives updates.
Now they are taking another cult film from the 80s, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and turning it into a game.
An alien invasion full of clowns who want to harvest you
What kind of game is this? In Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game, you play as a clown or a human: Either you are one of the three clowns who come to Earth during an alien invasion and oppress humanity, or you are one of the survivors trying to fight against the clowns.
As survivors, you are seven in total, must hide from the clowns, and fight them with weapons. You can find loot and weapons all over the city. Your goal is to stop the invasion, or at least to survive.
Those who choose to be clowns play in a trio and hunt humans. You use crazy weapons for this. You plan an alien invasion to eventually harvest the population.
Within the city of Crescent Cove, there are different maps where you compete against each other.

Because of the small map, it doesn’t take long before a new challenger appears – and then the next fight is on. Plus, there’s a chaotic component because you never know when a motivated third party will come crashing in with an elbow drop from the thirteenth floor.
The mix of cartoonish exaggeration, exciting fights, and a touch of chaos results in a really entertaining battle royale that quickly motivates you to get better. Essentially, I currently have only one point that I find really frustrating.
The search for a new match sometimes drags on forever. Often you have to wait several minutes in solo mode before a new match is found. One evening I wanted to play a few rounds in duo mode, but the countdown sometimes took over 5 minutes. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially at the beginning when you die early in the match, want to start another attempt and then can only wait.
But: I’m just hoping for improvement here. Because once you’re in the match, you can have a lot of fun with Rumbleverse.

Especially at the beginning, I lost very often and very quickly – because I underestimated how much you really need to think when playing. But once you get a feel for the mechanics, every fight becomes an exciting exchange of blows.
A Rumbleverse match then feels almost like several fights of a beat’ em up back to back. You find an opponent, duel, and either get knocked out or get to continue.

I could lose myself in the details of this game forever, but I’ll try to sum it up: Rumbleverse surprised me and has kept me hooked on the controller for days now.

Rumbleverse finds the right mix of nonsense and excitement
I could lose myself in the details of this game forever, but I’ll try to sum it up: Rumbleverse surprised me and has kept me hooked on the controller for days now.

Rumbleverse looks like a cartoon, features muscle-bound wrestlers as main characters, and the moves are completely over the top. Yes, the approach is pretty silly. But if you have a thing for crazy games, you should definitely check out the new Battle Royale, finds MeinMMO author Max Handwerk.
On the street below me, all hell is breaking loose. A pumped-up muscle man is smashed against a wall, while a lady sprinting in a zigzag picks up a street sign and slams it into a skinny guy’s face.
The guy just activates a spherical shield in the nick of time to intercept the swinging traffic sign. But he is powerless against the brutal “Chokeslam” that his opponent sets up next.
She grabs the poor guy by the neck, yanks him up with a powerful leap, and hurls him at breakneck speed towards a car roof. From there, both bounce back up into the air, only to crash down on the street. The impact is so hard that a small crater forms. This is my moment.
On the ledge of my rooftop, I take aim – and jump! My wrestler catapults himself up, spins in the air diagonally, jabs his elbow and dives down like a hawk in a vertical dive.
One floor. Two floors. Eight floors.
If you can lurk from above in Rumbleverse, you have the advantage
With the weight of a crashing comet, my wrestler’s elbow drop crushes the poor guy, who was already hammering into the ground without being prepared. The shockwave also drags the lady who set him up for me along with it. The guy is history – but she is still a threat.
I turn to her to set up the next devastating move. But suddenly, someone grabs my wrestler from behind, spins him around and hurls him like an Olympic hammer thrower into the eternal hunting grounds. Or, more precisely: into the water. But it comes to the same thing because anyone who lands in the sea is eliminated.
Thus ends one of many chaotic rounds I have spent in “Rumbleverse” in recent days. And even if I rarely emerge victorious from it all: I have an insane amount of fun with this game.
Here you can watch the gameplay trailer:
Suplex from the Roof Directly into Hell: Rumbleverse is Silly, but Not Stupid
What kind of game is this? Rumbleverse was released on August 11, 2022, as a free-to-play game for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. It is a Battle Royale – but not an ordinary one.
Yes, there is an island with a big city, a circle that keeps getting smaller, and you want to be the last one standing out of 40 players. You can also collect loot, and the apparently now obligatory battle pass is available too. But this is where the similarities to established titles largely end.
Developer Iron Game Studios, together with publisher Epic, takes a different approach than the big players like Fortnite, Call of Duty, or Apex Legends.
You are not soldiers who have to pick up firearms. No, you are goddamn wrestlers who want to wipe the floor with your enemies! And they are obviously insane, as they do not shy away from crazy heights or completely exaggerated attacks from their opponents.
The whole city is your ring
But let’s go in order. Your primary weapon is your body: You can unleash combinations of light attacks on your enemies or try to break through their defenses with a heavy attack. You also have objects from the environment at your disposal that you can slam in your opponent’s face. Examples include:
Street signs and garbage cans (Logical, since you fight on streets, they are just lying around)
Wooden planks (Yes, such things can always be found in cities)
Steel chairs (Well, it’s a wrestling game. What would a wrestling game be without repurposed steel chairs?)
In addition, there are numerous special moves of different rarities. You find them in the form of books that are found in loot boxes. So they are the equivalent of the main weapons of other genre representatives.
Your wrestlers can learn up to two special moves at the same time, which you can swap out when you find better ones. These moves are simply wonderfully over-the-top: every chokeslam, every “spear tackle,” every “diamond crusher” comes with colorful effects and hard impact animations.
The wrestler just learned the “chokeslam”. Apparently through math.
There’s also the absurd exaggeration: You don’t just grab your opponents and throw them onto their backs. No, you jump eight meters into the air, spin around twice, and then kick them with a heavy kick towards infinity (or into the nearest wall).
With its cartoonish look, it feels like a playable Saturday morning cartoon from childhood. But, and this is important: Even though everything looks silly on the surface, the game is not stupid. It requires a lot of skill to survive.
A Surprisingly Complex Combat System for a Battle Royale with Wrestlers
This is how matches run in Rumbleverse: When I first started the game, I expected a few fun power moves, blunt fights, and a quick fun time that I would quickly delete from the PlayStation.
But I quickly realized: If you just run around mindlessly and hit, you’ll eat a lot of dust and get kicked out quickly. The game demands a lot more skill than I thought.
On one hand, you have four slots for items that you can carry around. These can be weapons, but also chicken pieces for regenerating health points or stamina potions. In addition, there are three different “powders” that you can collect. They improve
Stamina
Health Points
Attack Power.
You should also collect these throughout a match, because in the end, you need such advantages against your enemies.
There are various consumable items
The combat itself demands not just muscle but also a bit of brains.
A few examples:
Every action costs stamina. This applies to attacks, sprints, jumps, special moves, everything. If you run out, nothing works anymore. You have to weigh carefully.
There is a shield. This blocks strikes and jump attacks but not grabs.
You can only evade grabs. But if you time it wrong, you are left exposed for a moment.
If you attack empty space while your opponent dodges, it’s your turn.
If you slam opponents to the ground, they can’t be hit for a moment – except with an elbow drop from above. That works almost all the time.
If you smash an opponent against the wall, you can unleash more attacks – but timing is crucial here too.
You can climb any wall in the game – you look like the Incredible Hulk, your hands just grab into the wall. You just need stamina for it.
Furthermore: The higher, the better. A devastating “suplex” from a building to the street deals more damage than a suplex that’s executed when standing at the same height.
Conversely: Just be careful not to get thrown off roofs.
Then there’s a “Superstar” meter. You fill it by collecting stars and engaging in fights. When it’s full, you activate superstar mode and are instantly faster, stronger, and regenerate health points. On the flip side, it seems like there’s also a spotlight directed at you all the time – anyone can see you very well, making surprise attacks harder.
You can climb any wallThe super attack is absolutely devastatingIn the finale, things get chaotic quicklyYou can customize your wrestler, but many cosmetics are only available for money
Additionally, you gain access to a super attack that not only looks powerful but also deals massive damage. There may be times when you can take out your opponent’s entire health bar with a heavy throw from a great height. But, as I said: the spotlight. And when a glowing wrestler comes charging at you, you generally know: Now you should take to your heels.
Fortunately, you can learn quite well on a tutorial island. I would actually recommend that. I started the game without explanation, and it didn’t end well.
Oh, and you also have to pay attention to the circle. If you are outside of the ever-shrinking combat area for too long, you will get counted out and will be eliminated as well. This creates a wonderful chaos in the “finale,” when enough players have survived for long enough in a small area.

Demon Hunters become proper rubber balls in World of Warcraft Dragonflight. Because they have to hop if they want to deal damage.
With Dragonflight the talent system in World of Warcraft is significantly revised. All characters get two talent trees available – one for the class and another for the respective specialization.
Especially for the Demon Hunter, developers had to come up with quite a bit to fill the talent trees since Demon Hunters inherently have significantly fewer abilities than other classes. This also makes them one of the best classes for beginners and returners, as they are relatively easy to learn.
However, with Dragonflight, there is a talent that is already seen as a meme. Because Demon Hunters have the reputation of being constantly in motion during combat and always using some jump or dash – sometimes because it actually deals damage and sometimes just because it looks cool. However, with Dragonflight, this wild hopping becomes mandatory. A talent ensures that.
Demon Hunters will soon have to jump a lot.
What talent are we talking about? We are referring to the talent “Momentum” or in English “Eager of Battle”. Currently, it is located in the last row of the Havoc talent tree in the Alpha of Dragonflight. A talent with the same name already exists in the live version of the game, but its function is limited there. In Dragonflight, the talent reads as follows:
“Fel Rush, Gliding, The Hunt, and Vengeful Retreat increase your damage by 12% for 6 seconds.”
The special innovation here is that “Gliding” will now also increase damage by 12%.
As a reminder: Gliding is the ability that allows Demon Hunters to spread their wings and then glide in one direction with reduced fall damage. It can be activated either while falling or automatically after a double jump.
The rubber class will become even … rubberier.
Why do Demon Hunters always have to hop? The catch is that Fel Rush and Vengeful Retreat not only have cooldowns but are also not suitable for every situation. When it is necessary for melee fighters to all stand in one position or when you cannot simply charge in a direction without thinking, then Demon Hunters will have to use gliding – meaning jumping and then flying a bit. Only by doing so can they maintain the permanent buff of 12% additional damage.
The result is likely that you will see all Demon Hunters jumping and hopping even more often than before.
What else is in the talent tree? Apart from this rather amusing talent, the Demon Hunter’s tree looks quite classic. You can try out the talents for Havoc on wowhead yourself. It is interesting that Demon Hunters can completely specialize in secondary stats such as “critical hit” or “mastery” thanks to certain talents.
That all Demon Hunters have access to seals through their class tree is also quite exciting and allows for significantly more flexible support, such as massive silencing of enemies or even group control.
Night Fae, Necrolords, and Kyrians can also be happy because their covenant abilities are returning as talents – however, the Venthyr ability has been removed and is not expected to return, as this playstyle is no longer intended to be supported in Dragonflight.
What do you think of this talent of the Demon Hunter? A fun and interesting thing? Or is just the thought of the “rubber DHs” bouncing around even more annoying?
The new game Atlas Fallen by Deck 13 immediately caught the attention of MeinMMO author Irina Moritz during the Opening Night Live.
Many of you will surely know this feeling when you see a trailer that instantly appeals to you. The initial curiosity that keeps rising until it transforms into “Oh wow, that looks really cool!” because everything just looks coherent.
I experienced this during the Opening Night Live on August 23, when suddenly Atlas Fallen was featured in the endless trailer stream. More information only ignited my interest further.
But unfortunately, I had to rein in my enthusiasm for Atlas Fallen quite a bit. At least for now.
This is Atlas Fallen: The cinematic trailer opens with the backstory of the world of Atlas, which was changed long ago by gods supported by human heroes.
The gods craved the essence of the world, a valuable resource that allows sand magic to be used. Thanks to the essences, the supreme god Thelos dominates the humans and keeps them in check. However, this leads to the world deteriorating further.

Atlas Fallen is a new action RPG – The reveal trailer impresses with stunning graphics
As a fan of destroyed or dying worlds from Dark Souls and Legacy of Kain, I was immediately hooked by the premise. The visual representation and the design in the trailer, underscored by epic music, sealed the deal. If there’s anything about the design that can instantly capture me, it’s cool capes and masks.
More information about the game, such as the detailed interview with our colleagues from GameStar, further intensified my interest. In the action game, you play with a self-created character and use a magical glove that allows you to utilize sand magic in battles.
The gameplay in Atlas Fallen revolves around this glove. In the trailer, you can see how the characters summon large weapons and can switch between them. This should also be possible in the game.
With the visuals like in Atlas Fallen, I’m all in.
You can unlock your active and passive abilities with essence,
acquire new weapons,
expand talent trees and more.
The combat system is faster than, for example, The Surge or Lords of the Fallen, earlier titles from the developer Deck 13. With the special movement abilities, you can glide over the sand, which is also shown in the trailer.
All in all, the information known so far about Atlas Fallen sounds like a game that is 100% my thing and would normally be an instant pre-order, were it not for one problem.
Bad experiences can be a game spoiler
As a long-time gaming fan, I regularly find myself in a paradoxical situation: On one hand, I am quickly excited when I see trailers and news about new games. After all, it is my absolute passion, and the anticipation of new gaming experiences quickly arises, especially with games like Atlas Fallen that hit my taste on all levels.
But on the other hand, every long-time gaming fan is often also a burned child. You know: Just because a trailer looks great and the information about the game sounds exciting, it doesn’t mean that the game will actually be good or simply match your taste.
Experience shows that there can be worlds between the announcement and the finished product. The pendulum can swing in both directions here, meaning: An announced game can either be a disappointment or turn into a hidden gem.
Experience has taught me (and probably many of you as well) to rein in my initial enthusiasm time and again. Especially when very little of the actual gameplay has been shown. It has often happened that games have appealed to me on all levels, only to turn out in the best case as “not so great”.
One such case that I immediately recalled with Atlas Fallen was, for example, Godfall. It sounded great before the release and the gameplay looked fun, but that was only enough for a rating of 61 on Metacritic.
Oh Godfall, we could have been such good friends.
I’m sure I could think of other examples, but you probably understand what I mean. I want to be excited about Atlas Fallen, really. It looks great and sounds like a game that could be exactly my thing. Deck 13 is also a studio that has a lot of experience in action games with Lords of the Fallen and The Surge.
But I have to keep forcing myself to dampen my anticipation to also keep the potential disappointment lower. This was also the case with Elden Ring, and FromSoftware is one of my absolute favorite developers, whom I trust completely after Sekiro.
Therefore, Atlas Fallen will be placed on my “cautious wish list” for now, and I will look forward to it very cautiously. The right excitement can come when the release turns out to be really awesome.
The sandbox MMORPG Fractured will enter Early Access on Steam on September 15. The CEO of Dynamight Studios revealed to us during a presentation at gamescom what the developers plan to do before and after that.
What is Fractured anyway?Fractured Online is a dynamic sandbox MMORPG. It divides its game concept among three different races, two of which will be available at the Early Access launch on September 15.
Because your race determines how you experience the sandbox MMORPG in Fractured Online.
The Wildfolk live on their own planet and are completely peaceful. Here, players cannot attack other players, which is unusual for a sandbox MMO. This is the PvE path of the game.
Humans live on the second-largest planet and will also be available from September 15. They are meant to provide a middle ground between PvE and PvP. Here, you can harm other players, but there is a moral system that can even throw you in jail.
The demons have the smallest planet. Things get serious here. This race is entirely focused on PvP, and you even gain experience for killing other players. Additionally, the demons come with full loot. This race is expected to be added only at the full launch of the MMORPG.
If you travel to other planets, the same rules apply to you as to the native beings there. A demon cannot simply attack anyone on the Wildfolk’s planet, while a Wildfolk must be very cautious around the demons.
The new trailer prepares you for the Early Access launch:

Fractured Online – Early Access Launch Trailer
Exploration is key: To learn new spells in Fractured Online and thus evolve, you need skills. You obtain these from monsters that use them. To eventually have all abilities, you will have to have been practically everywhere.
For example, there are skills that you can hardly obtain without PvP among the demons. However, the developers emphasize to us that there will not be any individual skills that are essential for a build. If you can’t get that one fire spell, take one of the other 40, according to the CEO.
But there is one way, and that is the asteroids, about which the team of Fractured Online has also told us more.
Asteroids as a new PvP endgame, but also for players who don’t like PvP
What are asteroids? The asteroid feature is an endgame activity primarily designed to attract PvP fans. However, it also offers PvE lovers a chance to get all the skills they want.
How often exactly you can travel to these asteroids is currently still uncertain. However, they are expected to be frequently occurring events that remain in the game for a short time. Then players from all races can travel to the asteroids and fight for control points.
The asteroids have a procedurally generated surface that takes on a random biome existing in the game. If you as a Wildfolk don’t want to roam around among the demons but want that skill?
Then an asteroid that features the demon biome could be the solution for you.
You would only find such a biome among the humans
How does it play? Each asteroid has a control point around which present factions will fight. The one who controls the point when the event ends will win. This means it is primarily aimed at PvP endgame fans.
If you win such a round, you will receive “Asteroid Control Points” with which you can buy cool rewards. Among other things, relics for your guild hall, which will permanently and passively buff each member of your guild. So the asteroids are definitely worth it.
A completely new biome, which can also occur on asteroids, has been exclusively shown to us by the CEO of the developers. You are in a kind of treehouse high above a foggy forest. Although we were not allowed to take pictures of it, it definitely whets the appetite for more.
Launch and Early Access – What else is coming?
What will happen until the launch? With the Early Access launch on September 15, the Wildfolk will be the first significant addition since the beta to the MMORPG. And with them, a completely new planet that can impress with new biomes and another open world.
Fractured Online is expected to remain in Early Access until mid-2023 before the game is finally released. During these months, the developers want to finish the demons and work on the “New Player Experience”.
The CEO tells us that he has observed in tests how new players felt abandoned after the tutorial. If they lacked the urge to explore, they would quickly leave the game. The Dynamight Studios want to improve on these aspects and guide new players better.
What follows after the launch? Although it is still quite a way off, the developers have already revealed plans for that at gamescom. A system will follow “sometime in 2024” where you can be reborn.
This will allow you to take a good path as a demon and a bad path as a Wildfolk once you reach the maximum level in the game. Then a long questline will follow, during which you can decide to switch factions.
Then you start again from scratch, but with slightly better stats. However, the exact plans may change significantly by the time the feature is ready.
What do you think about Fractured Online? Are you excited for the MMORPG and what features do you find particularly interesting? Or do you see little potential in the game? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
Apparently, users could see their own comments about the game, but for others, the comment remained hidden, as noted by a Twitter user with a second account.
Even then, many reactions were positive: “I mean, I would do the same if that was all anyone commented on. It has been complained about and talked about endlessly, people just need to shut up and wait.” (via Twitter)
Other users immediately tried to bypass the filter with alternative spellings. This led to creations like “GTA IIIIII” or “GTA 7-1”.
Rockstar has not yet commented on how long the bans on YouTube and Twitch are expected to last.
What do you think, can you hardly wait for GTA 6 or can you not hear about it anymore? Do you think Rockstar’s method is acceptable, or should they rather appreciate the interest in their game? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments.
The fact is that the hype around GTA 6 is huge. However, Rockstar is still holding back quite a bit on official information. Some fans are therefore worried.
Fans have been demanding a new installment of the immensely popular video game series Grand Theft Auto for years. Developer Rockstar has apparently had enough of being asked about GTA 6 and prohibits any mention on Twitch.
This is what GTA 6 is about: GTA 5, the latest and most successful installment in the series, was released in 2013. Since then, over 169 million copies have been sold. However, even though GTA 5 is still doing well, fans have been calling for a new installment for years.
The wait for GTA 6 has turned into a meme of its own. In February 2022, Rockstar finally confirmed that work is being done on the game. While there have been speculations and rumors for years, more and more leaks and insider reports are now emerging.
Rockstar apparently does not want to be asked about GTA 6
This is how Rockstar is responding: As noted by a Reddit user, Rockstar reportedly prohibits the mention of GTA 6 in the chat of the official RockstarGames-Twitch channel.
In the GTA 6 subreddit, a screenshot was shared showing the error messages that appear when trying to write the game title in the chat. Even the alternative spelling GTA VI does not get through the filter.
Instead, the message is displayed that the message cannot be posted due to conflicts with the channel’s moderation settings. However, GTA 5 seems to be allowed.
This is what fans are saying: According to initial reactions, they can understand Rockstar’s decision. Apparently, many fans themselves were annoyed by the “GTA 6” spam in everything that somehow comes from Rockstar.
This is not the first time Rockstar has chosen this path. It was already revealed in September 2021 that the term “GTA 6” was muted on Rockstar’s official YouTube channel.
Apparently, users could see their own comments about the game, but for others, the comment remained hidden, as noted by a Twitter user with a second account.

Destiny 2 and Fortnite have entered a crazy collaboration, providing fans not only with cool skins and ornaments but also with an accurate recreation of the most famous Destiny PvP mode along with its map.
Which mode is it? Fortnite has created a detailed recreation of the PvP mode “Control” in its creative mode. Additionally, players can roam the iconic Destiny map “Javelin-4” and battle against other players alongside their Guardian friends.
Crazy skins are causing chaos in the universe of Destiny 2
Not only Fortnite fans are enjoying the Destiny content. Players who know Destiny 2 will also feel at home in Fortnite, as the recreation of the PvP map is very faithful to the original. The mechanics behind capturing zones or the weapon assignments of the respective classes are excellently chosen.
Destiny 2 and its mapFortnite and the map recreationFish are disrupting the Control mode
The super abilities of the respective classes naturally cannot be missed. Players can choose between three classes with their corresponding loadouts and preset supers. The following options are available:
Titan – Barrier – A rifle with a scope and a shotgun + grenade
Warlock – Chaos Reach – A pulse and scout rifle + stink bomb
Hunter – Golden Gun – Revolver and a SMG + explosive throwing knife
Three classes are available
How does the mode work? You select a class at the beginning that suits you or with which you can play well. After that, you will be released onto the map and must capture zones, hold them, and generate as many kills as you can. A total of two teams with five players each compete against each other.
The first team to reach 200 points wins the match. Your ultimates, which charge over time, or the constant heavy ammo drops are supposed to support you on your path to victory.
How do I find the creative map in Fortnite? To do this, open the mode selection in Fortnite and click over to the “Island Code” section. There you enter the following number: 0642-9767-7225. After that, confirm your input and you can play the Destiny 2 mode.
Is the mode the same as in Destiny 2? Surprisingly, the mode is indeed a really good copy of the original PvP mode. Not only are the ultimates well-represented and transferred, but also the sometimes absurd respawns of the Crucible from Destiny 2.
Additionally, you quickly find yourself back in your classes. The shotgun ape, also known as Titan, or the crazy hand cannon Hunters provide great recognizability.
So if you are bored in Destiny 2 and want to explore something new, you should definitely check out Fortnite and try out the mode.
What do you think of the map? Do you also find it detailed? Let us know in the comments if you would also play a round of Fortnite on this map.

In Pokémon GO, preparations for the new season are obviously in full swing, as a find now shows the first possible contents of this year’s Halloween event. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at what data has been found and reveal what the community thinks about it.
What event is it about? The current season of GO in Pokémon GO is coming to an end and a new 3-month season is already on the starting blocks. What it will be is not yet known. But especially one event will be an important part of it: the Halloween event.
The Pokéminers, a group of dataminers, have now found the first clues about the possible contents of the new season and specifically about the Halloween event. We show you what these are.
Who are the Pokéminers? The Pokéminers are a group of dataminers. They regularly search the game code of Pokémon GO for new hints. In the past, they have been able to predict numerous innovations. All their findings are made publicly available to other players.
However, since the data does not constitute official information, you should always view it with a healthy dose of skepticism. The contents are not set in stone and can be changed by Niantic at any time.
These are the findings regarding the Halloween event & the new season
What was found? As user martycochrane shows on reddit, the Pokéminers have stumbled upon a series of new graphics in their current search in the source code of Pokémon GO. In addition to various Pokédex icons, their image shows graphics related to the universe, as well as 3 new Mega Evolutions.
Accordingly, the game code has been updated with the first data regarding Mega-Shuppet, Mega-Banette, and Mega-Gliscor.

What could the findings mean? Mega-Shuppet and Mega-Banette are Pokémon that would perfectly fit into the Halloween event due to their types. This will be an important part of the upcoming season.
Mega-Gliscor, on the other hand, fits less with this special event. However, it is a popular and particularly strong Mega Evolution among trainers, which is why many have been eagerly awaiting its release for some time. It may be possible that it will arrive soon.
The graphics related to the universe could also provide insights into the theme of the new season. The community has already been speculating wildly about this for a few days, as there is currently no official information available.
What do the trainers say about the findings?
Excitement for the Mega-Pokémon: The trainers of the reddit community are excited about the latest findings. Some particularly hope for a timely release of Mega-Gliscor and are already wondering when it will come into the game.
And Mega-Shuppet and Mega-Banette are also generating a lot of excitement among some trainers. Furthermore, most agree that these two must be part of this year’s Halloween event (via reddit.com):
gmlogmd80: “I have a Shundo [Shiny and 100% IV] Gliscor just waiting for its time to come.”
CustyTruntle: “Hundo Gliscor [A Gliscor with 100% IV] is the first Hundo I ever caught, I can hardly wait.”
MindlessStudent567: “I’m really excited for Mega-Shuppet.”
Master_KO: “Yes! And will be super useful during the Halloween events to boost ghost and dark types!”
JRE47: “Shuppet and Banette must come this year for Halloween. Mega-Gliscor = Gliscor Community Day?”
What speaks against a timely release: At the same time, some trainers are also surprised that there are now three new Mega-Pokémon. Usually, Niantic is somewhat more reserved when releasing new Megas.
The players are therefore currently unsure whether both Mega-Shuppet and Mega-Banette will actually come for the Halloween event. This can be seen in the reddit comments:
bubblegumelectra: “I would really be surprised if we get both this year, since there won’t be any other ghost Megas for Halloween 2023.”
B217: “I wonder if GameFreak would allow Niantic to introduce new Megas via GO? It’s only a matter of time before there are no more Megas left to add, and certainly they won’t start making costumed Megas… or?”
Additionally, just a few weeks ago, a new Mega-Pokémon was added to the game data, which is already being awaited: Mega-Alakazam. Whether Niantic will actually release four new Mega Evolutions in the upcoming season remains to be seen.
Speculations about the upcoming season
Assumptions about the Ultra-Space-Season: But the new Mega Evolutions are not the only topic of conversation in the comments. The assumptions of a possible Ultra-Space-Season are also intensifying. The reason for this is the discovered graphics, which are said to show real space images from the James Webb Space Telescope.
So far, Niantic has kept information about the new season very under wraps, but just a few days ago, text passages were already found as part of the 4th special research for the finale event, leading to first speculations.
What is the James Webb Space Telescope? The space agencies NASA, ESA, and CSA have jointly developed a specialized space telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). It is intended to assist in the exploration of space. To this end, it regularly sends images from space, such as the image of the planetary nebula, which was published on July 12, 2022 (via nasa.gov).
What does the community say? For the trainers, there is clearly a connection between the finds from a few days ago and the current space images, which is why you can read the following in the comments (via reddit.com):
duskyxlops: “Are the space images for the next season? Season of Cosmos?”
Cheese_head64: “Maybe something with Ultra Beasts and wormholes?”
Zappa: “I have to say, it’s really cool to see that JWST image of the Southern Ring Nebula there. Could these images be used as a backdrop for some kind of “Ultra Space” event/scenario, what do you think?”
krispyboiz: “My idea about the Ultra Space season is becoming more likely.”
Additionally, the recent discovery of Mega-Alakazam in the source code could play a crucial role. The Pokémon is of psychic type and would thus perfectly fit with the legendary Pokémon found.
Whether and when the new monsters will come into the game and whether Niantic is really planning a Space Season remains to be seen for now. As soon as there is new information on this, you will definitely hear about it from us at MeinMMO.
How do you like the new Mega-Pokémon? Do you hope that both Mega-Shuppet and Mega-Banette will play a role in the Halloween event? And when do you think Mega-Gliscor should celebrate its debut? Feel free to share your thoughts on this in the comments here on MeinMMO and exchange ideas with other trainers.
Call of Duty: Warzone launches its 5th season together with CoD: Vanguard. This time the large map Caldera undergoes extensive changes. You can find the most important info about the content here in a brief overview.

Rorke
Al-Asad
Seraph
and Raul Mendez.
Season 5 of CoD: Warzone was released on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 6:00 PM German time.

CoD: Warzone announces the release of Season 5 – Brings back 4 legendary villains
The contents of CoD: Warzone Season 5 at a glance
What are the highlights of the season? As in previous seasons, Season 5 also offers several new contents. Here is a brief overview:
Volcanic activity on Caldera
New Gulag on Caldera
2 New Multiplayer maps: “Beheaded” and “Fortress”
The Doomsday Station
New items: Supply Drop Drone, Personal Supply Box, and Rage Serum
What lies behind the volcanic activity? Season 5 brings some changes to the map Caldera. The volcano of the map, Caldera’s Peak, will erupt in all modes, causing lava to flow across the island.
What is this new Gulag? With the new season, Caldera receives a new Gulag, the so-called Volcano Gulag. It is visually designed to match the volcanic eruption.
The new Volcano Gulag on CalderaCaldera is submerged in lava
Doomsday Station, Rage Serum, and other items
What is the Doomsday Station? The Doomsday Station is a device on Caldera that you can activate in Battle Royale. To trigger the Doomsday Station, you need to pay $10,000.
Once you activate the Doomsday Station, enemy AI helicopters and soldiers will surround your position. If you stay nearby and successfully defend against the attackers, you will receive a unique cosmetic watch for your operator. Additionally, you have the chance to obtain powerful items as a reward.
What new items are there?
Supply Drop UAV: The Supply Drop UAV is an unmanned drone that you can use via Killstreak to locate unopened supply boxes near you. These will then be marked on the player’s mini-map for 15 seconds through the use of the drone. You can obtain the drone from supply boxes or purchase it at a Buy Station.
Personal Supply Box: This is a new, extremely rare supply box where you can find your favorite weapons from Warzone. Additionally, you receive a significant XP boost from the box. You can find it by using the Supply Drop Drone.
Rage Serum: The Rage Serum is a field upgrade that enhances your melee combat. It allows you to deal more damage with melee attacks and provides increased range.
What is Operation: Last Call? The limited-time mode “Operation: Last Call” will be available at the start of Season 5. It is inspired by the popular mode “Search and Destroy” where you must plant or diffuse bombs.
In Operation: Last Call, however, the goal is to destroy or defend Caldera. If you are defending the island, you must defuse bombs. If you want to assist in the destruction, you need to sabotage the island and detonate explosives at the designated spots.
Additionally, there are now lava rocks on Caldera that will crash down onto the island. You should stay clear of their landing zone. There will also be a “volcano display” that graphically represents the current activity of the volcano.
What is included in the seasonal event? The community event of Season 5 is called “Heroes vs. Villains”. In this event, you must choose a side and then lead it to victory. To do this, you collect so-called hero marks or villain marks in all game modes.
After the event, a unique weapon blueprint of the winning team will be distributed to everyone. Additionally, you have the chance to receive rewards such as the legendary animated “One-on-One” calling card, the hero or villain weapon charm, the “Conflict Spike” melee weapon blueprint, or the “Time Duality” watch.
What is there about the midseason update? With the midseason update of CoD Warzone, new content will also be introduced in Season 5.
This includes a limited-time mode called “Rebirth Supreme,” which is played on Rebirth Island. In this mode, you will compete in groups of four and are supposed to have access to the best weapons. It is also expected that revival will be activated in this mode so that a death does not mean your elimination immediately.
What do you think about the contents of Season 5? Are you already looking forward to the final chapter of CoD: Warzone, or does the upcoming season not interest you yet? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
If you want to prepare for CoD: Warzone 2, you can find everything you need to know about pre-ordering on MeinMMO.
A new transmog helm in World of Warcraft has just been unlocked on Amazon Prime. We show you how to get it.
For a while now, Blizzard has had a partnership with Amazon, which means that there are game contents available at Amazon Prime Gaming at regular intervals. Fans of World of Warcraft also benefit regularly, especially collectors of transmog items can obtain some designs that are no longer available in the game. The latest item from this series is now available, the Crown of Eternal Winter.
What are these transmog items? They are specific helms that serve only for transmogrification – purely cosmetic items without enhancement values. A few years ago, these helms could be purchased in the in-game shop of World of Warcraft, but they were removed from the stock long ago. Now they are (at least currently) exclusively available through Amazon Prime. These include:
Gem of the Firelord (Already expired)
Hood of Greedy Darkness (already expired)
Crown of Eternal Winter (Now active)
How can you redeem the Crown? The redemption process is relatively simple. You just need to visit the Prime Gaming website and make sure that you have linked your Amazon account with your Blizzard account. Once you have done that, click on “Game Content” and scroll down to the entry “World of Warcraft”. There you should see the current helm and with it the “Crown of Eternal Winter”. Click on the item to ultimately redeem it. You have until September 20 to do this, after which the offer will disappear.
More news about World of Warcraft can be found here:
Will the other helms return? It’s not entirely clear. Before the three helms came to Prime Gaming, they were unavailable for many years. So it’s quite possible that the three items will disappear again in the coming years. This increases the incentive to redeem the Crown of Winter now, so you won’t regret missing it in the years to come.
Have you already secured the Crown? Or can you make less of a connection with these sparkling helms?
Irdeto, the company behind Denuvo, has announced that it plans to bring its copy protection to the Switch as well. The community is not very enthusiastic about this and fears the worst for future Switch games.
On the Nintendo Switch, you can play some exclusive games like the Zelda series or the Pokémon games. However, there are clever users who play the games on PC using emulators. A developer has now introduced a new technique to take action against people who copy Switch games.
However, the announcement that a new copy protection would be coming to the Nintendo Switch is not sitting well with many users.
Denuvo wants to be an C2 innovative solutionC2 for piracy on the Nintendo Switch
What exactly has been presented? Irdeto explained in an official blog post that it will launch the world's first “Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection” (via irdeto.com).
“The innovative solution,” Irdeto said, “addresses a long-standing problem of emulating pirated Nintendo Switch games on PC and combats the widespread piracy associated with multi-platform releases.” In this way, they aim to prevent new games from the Switch from being easily played on PC.
When will the copy protection be released? Previously, Irdeto had only introduced its new technology. However, they have not yet named a partner, such as a game developer or even Nintendo itself, who would have to implement this copy protection. It is also unclear whether older games will be retrofitted with copy protection to prevent popular games like the Pokémon series from being played on PC.
Players protest the announcement, fearing poor performance on the Nintendo Switch
What are the reactions of the players? Enthusiasm in the community is limited. Rather, some users are now concerned that the copy protection could lead to new, unpleasant issues. On reddit, various threads are having heated discussions about the announcement (via reddit.com and reddit.com):
Some users fear that performance on the Switch could worsen as a result.
Others believe that they will soon no longer be able to enjoy their single-player games offline on the Switch because they would have to connect to the Denuvo server.
One writes what many are currently thinking:
Switch games with even poorer performance?! Oh man!
On the Switch, [the performance problem] will be a bigger issue since [the Switch] has no performance overhead. In fact, the performance of many titles is already lacking, to be honest.
No one is really happy about the announcement. And many hope that game developers won't even consider using the technology.
What do you think? Do you consider Denuvo on the Switch to be absurd, or do you have similar concerns as the community? Discuss with other readers in the comments!

The origins of the StarCraft universe are currently available for free – at least if you are an Amazon Prime customer. We reveal what awaits you.
There are a number of games that everyone should play, even if you are not particularly interested in a specific genre. These milestones in gaming are simply a must to understand how the genres were formed – or they are still so popular after decades that it would be a travesty not to take a look at the game at least once. One of these games is the original StarCraft, which is now available in its remastered version on Amazon Prime.
How do you get the game? In order to “receive” the game for “free”, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. Then you will have access to various offers at regular intervals. This ranges from cosmetic rewards to in-game goodies to full versions, as is the case with StarCraft: Remastered. If you are a Prime member, you can find the game here on the “Amazon Prime Gaming” page.
The Protoss – one of the classic races in StarCraft.
What kind of game is it? StarCraft is still considered one of the best-balanced strategy games ever, over 24 years after the original release. StarCraft captivated not only through a quite interesting campaign but also through various level designs with different mission types and three species that all played completely differently.
There is the Zerg swarm led by the eerie Overmind, the Terran humans, and the mysterious, somewhat graceful Protoss.
Additionally, the remastered version also includes the expansion “Brood War,” which comes with further campaigns and new unit types.
Who is it worth it for? Basically, StarCraft: Remastered is still a gem in the strategy genre and is therefore worthwhile for anyone who enjoys real-time strategy in any way. In the remastered version, the game also looks quite nice – at least when compared to the original version of the game. Nevertheless, StarCraft: Remastered is primarily a “2D game” that only attempts to simulate 3D – even if it has been significantly enhanced in many areas.
If you are currently looking for a few hours of good strategic entertainment or just need another classic in your collection, you can’t go wrong with StarCraft: Remastered – especially if you want to eventually play StarCraft II and fully understand the story. Because StarCraft II is based on the great story of the first part.
Have you already secured StarCraft: Remastered? If not, you should hurry, as the offer is only valid until September 1st.
