Position 5: Azjol-Nerub with 75 votes (3%)
What kind of dungeon is this? In Azjol-Nerub you will encounter the nerubian king Anub’arak, one of the most important servants of the Lich King Arthas. The dungeon is located in Dragonblight and is one of the first you can enter.
Why is it so unpopular? Actually, Azjol-Nerub is a relatively short dungeon with just three bosses and quite little trash in between. This is probably why relatively few votes are cast for it.
What, however, drives many players to frustration repeatedly is the final boss Anub’arak. He hides in the boss fight three times, becoming untouchable and summoning minions who have to slowly trudge in.
Since these phases depend on the giant beetle’s health points, they cannot be skipped. Players are trapped on the platform for the time being and have to wait until the sluggish adds reach the arena.
What kind of dungeon is this? In the Violet Hold, the Kirin Tor have imprisoned some of the most powerful creatures that wreak havoc on Azeroth – and the mana storms. The inmates are causing trouble, and you are supposed to prevent an outbreak.
Why is it so unpopular? In itself, the Violet Hold is not really hard, but extremely monotonous. You stand in the same room all the time and defeat enemies that appear from portals. Regularly, a boss appears that you can beat.
What many players find annoying about the dungeon is that you cannot determine the pace yourself. Even if you could kill every group in a second, you would have to wait for the next portal to open, just like at the opening of the Dark Portal. This quickly becomes boring.
Position 3: The Purge of Stratholme with 309 votes (14%)
What kind of dungeon is this? The Caverns of Time let you dive into the past of Warcraft and experience history live. However, you also have to prevent history from being altered.
In the Purge of Stratholme (“HdZ 4”), you help Prince Arthas to “cleanse” the city of Stratholme in an attempt to stop the plague. By the way, there is one of the best transmogs that is still popular today in the dungeon.

Why is it so unpopular? The Purge of Stratholme takes a long time. The dungeon itself is already large, but at many points, you also have to wait for Arthas, who is quite slow and always looks for arguments with any enemy in sight.
If someone forgets to talk to Arthas, nothing happens at first, and you wait in vain. In addition, many players are eager for a special mount from the dungeon and can sometimes become unfriendly:

What kind of dungeon is this? In the Halls of Stone, the dwarf explorer Brann Bronzebeard wants to learn more about the Titans and the history of Azeroth. Here, the Titans left guardians and valuable information behind.
Why is it so unpopular? Similar to the Purge of Stratholme, the Halls of Stone are extremely extensive. You fight against a ton of trash that often cannot be skipped and hits so hard that you cannot play in groups. In particular, inexperienced players need a lot of planning and careful approach here or they will be punished with dozens of deaths.
In addition, Brann Bronzebeard, just like Arthas, repeatedly reads out role-play sequences that you have to endure. This happens, among other things, during boss fights that can last longer, especially after a wipe.
Position 1: The Oculus with 751 votes (35%)
What kind of dungeon is this? The Oculus is part of the Nexus complex in Coldarra in the Borean Tundra. Here, the Blue Dragonflight reigns and wild magic attracts power-hungry sorcerers.
Why is it so unpopular? The Oculus is by far the most unpopular dungeon, although it can actually be mastered in just 15 minutes with an experienced group. This is due to the mechanics in the Oculus.

You have to ride through most of the dungeon on dragons in the air and even fight on them. On the one hand, the constant switching between flying and running is annoying, on the other hand, the division is not entirely clear: Who takes which dragon, what abilities do we even need?
In addition, orientation can be difficult even for experienced players here. Since there is no interactive dungeon map in WotLK, you have to read from a real-life map to find out where you are and where you still need to go.
Since you sometimes have to kill various enemies in a certain order, it can take a long time until you find all of them. Even more annoying is when someone loses track and you have to find yourself again. The Oculus is hated to the extent that players even forgo titles just to avoid visiting it:

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 was released on November 16, along with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2. Even the release evening on Wednesday made it clear, that not everything is running smoothly in the Battle Royale:
The servers were under stress and many suffered from lags
The social menu was completely bugged for 2 days
Some couldn’t get into the game for an entire evening
However, there were also many reports that Warzone 2 ran smoothly in the first days. For example, MeinMMO user “Phantom” wrote in our comments: “I didn’t have any problems at any time. Only the connection sometimes took a little longer”.
That was also our impression while observing the servers and issues in the first days: You could either be very lucky or quite unlucky.
For instance, MeinMMO editor-in-chief Leya couldn’t get into the game all Thursday evening with her team – while I was out hunting for kills with my squad in southern Al Mazrah.

On October 27, 2009, League of Legends was released and interested players could download the game. There are champions that have existed since the beginning and for which adjustments were actually planned, but Riot Games found no better alternatives, and the champs remain unchanged in LoL. Thus, the planned rework of Morgana was abandoned.
What is the rework about? Champions in League of Legends are regularly reworked. The last rework was for Udyr.
For the Fallen – Morgana, a rework was supposed to happen in 2015. The champion has a unique set of abilities that did not exist at that time.

“I reworked Morgana and found that she was perfect and nothing needed to be changed. […] Nothing was as good as what she already had. In the end, she is perfect. That is why so many people admire her. It simply wasn’t worth changing anything,” he said in the interview.
It is about the fact that players who play Morgana need their playstyle exactly as it is. Each of her abilities represents an aspect of the game.

Morgana is one of the few cases that have such a good kit that she only requires adjustments to the scaling of her abilities. However, the weekly patches are completely sufficient for that. The last patch has heralded preseason 13.
This is how players see it: Even the players themselves only provide feedback that Morgana is a champion where no adjustments need to be made to gameplay and abilities. So “fruushy” replies on Twitter that she just lacks legs.

She has a pick rate of 15.35% in League of Legends and is banned in about 23% of all games (via op.gg). This shows Morgana’s relevance across all divisions of League of Legends. The champion was played back then and is still a character that players strive for.
A new feature aims to elevate controller control to the next level. This allows the controller to finally compete with mouse and keyboard in terms of aiming, speed, and precision. The technology utilizes the controller’s gyroscope and is already available in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, and Deathloop.
What is the problem with controller aim? With a controller, movement and field of view are decoupled. Typically, you control your movements with the left analog stick and your field of view with the right.
The sensitivity determines how quickly your character can change their view direction. Often – but not always – you can adjust the sensitivity of your analog sticks. The problem is that you can only change your view direction as fast as the sensitivity allows.
Typically, controller players are at a disadvantage. Aiming is quicker and more precise with a mouse and keyboard. To help controller players, many games therefore offer features like “Aim Assist.” In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, this leads to controversies: Aim Assist for controllers apparently reaches entirely new levels.
If you have pushed all settings to the limit and your aiming speed is still too slow, you are unfortunately out of luck. “Flick-Stick” aims to change that fundamentally.

How does “Flick-Stick” work? This feature is a software solution that allows you to change how your controller operates. However, those who think that only the button mapping changes are mistaken.
Once you activate the “Flick-Stick” control, your right analog stick only controls the view direction on the horizontal plane. If you push the stick to the right, your character’s field of view turns 90 degrees to the right. If you push the stick to the left, your field of view shifts 90 degrees to the left.
If you push your analog stick downward, your character turns 180 degrees. You can make finer adjustments by carefully maneuvering your analog stick between different positions. However, this requires a bit of finesse. If you push the analog stick upward, your field of view returns to a neutral position.
How do you aim up or down? Since the right analog stick is only responsible for the horizontal view axis, you need something else to cover the vertical view axis. That’s where the gyroscope comes into play: If you want to aim up or down while using “Flick-Stick,” you have to move your controller accordingly. However, only minimal wrist movements are required. No one needs to flail wildly with the controller.
Is the technology new? No, not really. There have already been some games for the PS3 that used the gyroscope for control. The game “Splatoon” for the Wii U then introduced gyroscopic control to a larger audience.

How old are the pros in America? Doublelift leads the list in America. At almost 30 years old, he belongs to the old guard. He participated in the very first World Championship in LoL in 2011, back then at Dreamhack in Sweden. He finished in 4th place with Epik Gamer.
With Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black, the team FlyQuest probably has the oldest supporter under a professional contract. He is already 30 and has been playing LoL competitively since 2012. His first appearance at the Worlds was in 2015 with CLG.
Another veteran is the Korean Jeong “Impact” Eon-young. He won the Worlds in 2013 with SK T1, the team of superstar Faker. In early 2015, after a disappointing season in Korea, he moved to America. The 27-year-old is still playing there today.

America relies on overseas players: It is also noticeable that many professionals from other regions have played in America in recent years. At the Worlds 2022, three American teams participated, with a total of 15 players:

In Pokémon GO, many trainers have been waiting for a way to chat with each other and arrange raids. Campfire is supposed to make that possible now. Our MeinMMO author Franzi Korittke has tried out the new app and shows you how it works.
Which app is it about? After trainers of Pokémon GO have been demanding a chat function for many years to plan raids or level-ups together, Niantic has now developed a new app that aims to make that possible: Campfire.
With it, you should be able to network not only within Pokémon GO but also across the various Niantic games. I took a closer look at the new app and will show you how it works.

How to get access to Campfire
What is Campfire? Campfire is an app from Niantic that revolves around communication between players of the various Niantic games. With it, you can chat, join groups, and send smoke signals when you want to play raids.
How do you get access to Campfire? Basically, Campfire is not yet available for all players. To use the app, you currently need an invitation from another player who is already using the app. Download Campfire in advance from your Play Store or App Store.
To get access, you can post in specific Campfire threads on reddit. The concept of the thread is quite simple: You express that you want an invitation to Campfire and wait for a message from another reddit user.
You exchange your trainer code from the game with this person so they can send you a friend request and eventually invite you to Campfire as well. Depending on how many requests are ahead of you in the reddit post, it may take a while.
If you have successfully registered for Campfire, a small green symbol will appear on the right side of the screen in Pokémon GO. You can use this to switch directly to Campfire. Additionally, you now have the opportunity to invite other players yourself. The mentioned reddit thread, for example, assumes that you will continue the concept and invite the next users.
How to invite friends to Campfire
How can you send invitations? To send an invitation to another trainer, you must already be friends with them in one of your Niantic games. If that is the case, you can click on the round symbol with the person in the bottom right corner of Campfire.
You will now see in the orange box how many of your friends are already using Campfire. Clicking on it will display them. If your desired friend is not listed here, you can invite other trainers from your friends list using the “Add Friends” button.
Invite friends to Campfire
How many invitations can be sent? Currently, each trainer has a maximum of 5 invitations available that they can send to friends from their friends list. Therefore, it is best not to send invitations indiscriminately, but to ask people in advance if they even want access to Campfire.
Using Campfire – Raids and Chats
How do you indicate that you want to do raids? As soon as you open Campfire, you land on a map view. All stops and arenas in your vicinity will be displayed, and ongoing raids will also be shown there. Alternatively, you can access this mode by clicking on the map symbol.
If you find a raid nearby that you would like to participate in but are looking for teammates, you can simply click on the corresponding arena in Campfire. You can then join the arena. This opens a chat window through which you can coordinate with other players around the raids and send signals.
Send signals to alert others about raids
Your signal lasts for 15 minutes after setting and then automatically ends. If you are still looking for like-minded individuals, you can set it again.
Based on the orange borders around a raid boss on the map, you can also recognize signals from other players and join the respective arena if interested.
How to chat with other trainers
In Campfire, you have several options for writing to other players. One option, which only exists temporarily, is the chat function at arenas. However, if you want to stay in touch with your teammates permanently, you can do this either through a private chat or a group chat.
This is how the private chat works: To start a private chat, you must be friends with the respective trainer in one of the Niantic games and they must also use Campfire. If that is the case, you can select them from your friend list and click “Send Message”.
Once you have had contact with each other, all messages will be displayed by clicking on the speech bubble at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively, you can also start a new chat through the speech bubble. To do this, click on the pencil symbol in the bottom corner and select the desired trainer.

If the respective player is not yet connected to Campfire themselves, you cannot write directly with them yet. It is best to send them an invitation.
This is how group chats work: If someone has a local community that prefers to communicate in Campfire, they can also use groups for communication. To do this, click on the symbol with the two people.
The group menu will now open. Here you will initially see numerous groups that have already been created. By clicking on the “Join” button, you can become a member there and exchange information via so-called channels.
These have been created by the group admins and offer users, similar to Discord, better orientation and a clear structure for the group. For example, in the group “Pokemon GO Official”, you can use the channel “lets-be-friends” to meet new trainer friends.

Create your own groups: If the group you are looking for is not in the list, you can alternatively create your own group and invite your friends to it. To do this, click on “Create Group” in the group menu. Now you just need to give it a name and make a few settings, and you have your very own group.
You can then add your friends to the group using the “Invite” button. However, anyone who is not yet using Campfire will also need an invitation to the app. Additionally, it is also advisable in your own groups to structure communication better by assigning channels.
My personal conclusion about Campfire
What I liked a lot: I think it’s great that Campfire finally provides the opportunity to directly contact other trainers. This is especially worthwhile if you often participate in raids together or want to arrange friendship level-ups.
I also find it great to set signals to indicate interest in a raid. Especially when you’re in a region where you don’t know anyone, this way you can more easily find teammates who can support you in a raid.
Moreover, you can move the map. So you see – unlike in Pokémon GO – not just a small part, but can also push it, for example, to the neighboring town and see what raids are taking place there.
Additionally, the group function allows you to connect with other players in your area whom you may not have been able to contact before because they are not in the typical local WhatsApp groups. At the same time, there is no obligation to be friends with these people in the game or to share private contact details, as is common in many messaging services.
This is what still needs to be improved: The biggest sticking point for me with Campfire is that it is still a standalone app. You always have to switch back and forth to write, which is especially annoying when you want to do a raid together.
I miss an overlay function through which you can also write to players while you are already in the raid lobby. It would be practical to also receive last-minute registrations from other players or be able to report issues while participating in a remote raid so that you might wait a moment for the raid.
Also, signals at arenas should be integrated directly into Pokémon GO in my view. If you don’t receive a corresponding notification that a signal is active nearby, you might miss it, even if you were in the game.
Can I recommend the new app? I can basically recommend Campfire since I really like the many different functions. Finally, you can chat with other trainer friends, join local groups without everyone having my personal data, and I can show that I want to do a raid.
However, since Campfire is not yet easily accessible through a simple registration, unfortunately not many players are active in my area. This makes the use quite manageable at the moment. Often, contact with these people already exists through other means, which makes it difficult to establish new contacts in my region at the moment.
However, this hopefully changes with the official release. When that will happen, and you can also secure Campfire without an invitation, is currently still unknown. If there are new updates on this, you will definitely find out from us on MeinMMO.

In the Extraction mode DMZ of Call of Duty: Warzone 2, it’s all about loot, equipment, and the will to survive. Additionally, you can unlock a new weapon here – the assault rifle M13B. However, such modes can also bring out the worst in people.
Call of Duty is trying to carve out its niche in the extraction shooter market with its free DMZ mode. You start at a point on the vast Warzone map Al Mazrah, fight through NPCs, gather equipment, and then get extracted from the combat zone by a helicopter – or at least that’s the plan.
But the NPCs are nasty and can take you out quickly if you’re not careful. Moreover, other players are also running around the map with similar goals as you.
With the new assault rifle M13B, even multiplayer players of CoD MW2 show interest in starting the major mode. But you should never feel too secure when leaving the map – everyone wants to get the weapon.

Players are like vultures at the extraction point
Once you declare your mission in the DMZ as completed, head to one of the 3 extraction points on the map. Here, you give a helicopter a short signal and have to wait for a moment for pickup.
This draws a lot of attention. Enemies can suddenly come from all corners like startled animals, aiming for your loot.
Especially because of the M13B assault rifle, this can be particularly worthwhile at the moment. After all, it saves you from having to fight against the chemist in the radiation zone. Without an appropriate gas mask, this can be quite a hassle.
On Reddit, there’s a clip where the user “RealWildFlesh” along with a teammate rushes to an extraction point and cold-bloodedly takes out the two players who were just trying to leave with the helicopter. The new M13B was also part of the loot:
