There are problems with certain quests. Blizzard informs on Twitter that you should abandon quests with the addition: “Craftsman supply” if you can’t hand in other quests.
There is apparently also a problem with the quest “The Stream of Time” if you use a non-English client. A workaround here is to change the language for this quest to English (via Twitter). You can find the solution for the problems in detail here:

Blizzard reports that the most severe connection issues should now be resolved (via Twitter). However, some players are currently having issues with the quest “Quickfire Plans” because it is not displayed on the map. You can find a solution in this YouTube video.

There seems to be a partial solution. Part of the problem seems to be related to the War Mode. If you have activated this, the portal to the Dragon Isles does not work. In our tests, it worked 100% of the time without War Mode to access the islands.

There are reports that the world server is unreachable. We are currently still searching for a reliable solution to the problem that is preventing you from reaching the Dragon Isles. So far, it does not seem that there is a solution at the moment.
Some players have already reached the Dragon Isles, but report lags and long load times when looting and handing in quests. Many are simply farming resources because of this.
The Twitch streamer Naowh is already almost level 63. He is simply farming old content and currently grinding through Torghast with his druid.

Even those who make it to the Dragon Isles are facing massive lags while playing. There is still no response from Blizzard.

The plan of many Alliance players is currently to simply run to Orgrimmar and fly from there with the zeppelins. However, Blizzard has now activated portals that allow you to skip the ship/zeppelin ride. Apparently, there are issues with the transport methods.

DrDisrespect rants about YouTube, is now the biggest streamer there, still has no contract
In 2020, the streamer DrDisrespect was banned from Twitch and continued on YouTube. But he is unhappy there, as YouTube does not offer him a contract. Now he is the biggest streamer on the platform.
Who is this about?
- The former CoD developer Guy Beahm has been performing as the macho persona “DrDisrespect” since 2010.
- In mid-2020 he received a special exclusive contract from Twitch and was regarded as the “face of Twitch.”
- In late 2020, he was banned from Twitch. The reasons for the ban remain unclear to this day.

DrDisrespect is unhappy, still receives no contract from YouTube
What bothers the streamer? YouTube has been pursuing an aggressive poaching strategy for several months: They are spending a lot of money to poach well-known faces from Twitch and sign them to their platform. DrDisrespect feels betrayed by YouTube Gaming because Twitch streamers are making a lot of money on YouTube – but he is not receiving any of it. Especially when the streamers YouTube buys tend to be “playing under his league”.

Fortnite: New map of Chapter 4 Season 1 with all POIs – Here you will land
We show you the new map of Chapter 4 in Season 1 in Fortnite. You can expect POIs like The Citadel, Brutal Bastion, and Frenzy Fields.
What’s new? At the start of Chapter 4, there was a live event where players helped build a new map. They grabbed a few familiar and a few new contents and combined everything into a new map.
In this overview, we show you the new map as a whole and some glimpses of the new POIs.
New Island of Chapter 4
This is what the map looks like: In the large overview, you can clearly see the distribution of the POIs.
- High in the north, you will find Lonely Labs and Brutal Bastion in the snowy and icy area.
- In the northwest, the map looks more autumnal. Here you will find Breakwater Bay and The Citadel.
- Additionally, you will find the places Shattered Slabs and Anvil Square in the autumn area (pretty much in the middle of the map).
- In the greener spring area of the map, which stretches from east to south, you will find the locations Slappy Shores, Faulty Splits, and Frenzy Fields.
The new POIs: The developers of Fortnite briefly introduced new landmarks (POIs) with images and small texts.
The Citadel:
In the west of the map, you will find this location. It is the fortress of the ruler “the Timeless”. You will also find him in the skins from the Battle Pass overview of Chapter 4.
Anvil Square:
You will find this venue surrounded by trees about in the middle of the map. A small town has been built here.
Brutal Bastion:
Fortnite describes the location as “headquarters of the Reality Warriors.” You will find it in the snowy mountains in the north of the map. Hit the snow there with a pickaxe to form snowballs. If you want, you can then jump in and roll over opponents with them.
Frenzy Fields:
In the south of the map, you will find the location Frenzy Fields. The houses and hay hills offer great potential for exciting, fast battles.
Shattered Slabs:
In the location Shattered Slabs, you can expect mines. There you will find kinetic ore. You can then use it for spells to attack your opponents.

In WoW Dragonflight there is easily a secret fox mount – How to get it
WoW Dragonflight delivers a ton of new mounts again. One of them is a flying fox with bat wings. You can get it quite easily, although the mount is a bit hidden.
What kind of mount is this? The Temperamental Skyclaw looks a bit like a fox or a large Vulpera, equipped with a saddle and able to fly. Its fur is orange with white patterns, a bushy tail, and pointy ears, just like a fox.
You can find a list of all new mounts from Dragonflight on MeinMMO.
How do I get the Skyclaw? Basically, you just need to deliver a few items. You can get the Skyclaw from Stablemaster Zon’Wogi at the Tri-Falle lookout in the northwest of the Azure Mountains. When you talk to him, he will tell you what he wants:
- 20x Frostbitten Meat
- 20x Gnolan’s House Specialty
- 20x Tuskarr Dorr Meat
You can easily get all the items at the auction house, even before you head to the mountains to “buy” the mount directly. None of it is soulbound. If you want to save money, just farm the items in the regions.
All items are dropped by Gnolls and you can find them according to wowhead in the following areas of the Azure Mountains:
- Camp in Nowhere
- Azure Archives at the camp by the lake (Twilight Gnolls)
- Brackenfell Cave in the Inn
- The addon HandyNotes helps you find the items – so you can also find dragon glyphs faster
It is not quite clear if you need prerequisites to be able to loot the items yourself. Some players report that they get everything easily. Others say that they had to complete the quests “True Survivors” or “Hit the Gnoll” first.
New mount that does not work in Dragonflight
The Skyclaw serves as a regular flying mount and cannot be used for dragon riding on the Dragon Isles. You can only ride it on the ground there; to fly, you’ll have to go to the areas of the old world.
For many players, dragon riding is so good, that they don’t even want to use normal flying mounts anymore. They hope that soon all flying mounts will use the momentum system or that dragon riding will permanently replace normal flying.

In the community, it has almost unanimously been decided that dragon riding is already the best feature of Dragonflight, even though many players are struggling with it. Nevertheless, the system seems to be exciting.

What happened today in Fortnite? In Fortnite, the live event marking the end of Chapter 3 concluded with the shattering of the Chapter 4 map and the assembly of the new Chapter 4 map. Fortnite cannot be played – when and for how long?
When and how long does the downtime last? This is still unknown. Many players have been wondering since the end of Chapter 3 when the servers will be back online. However, we keep an eye on the servers and will tell you when you can play again.

A new map in Chapter 4
Fortnite offers you a completely new map with cool POIs in Chapter 4 that you will soon be able to explore. Epic Games lists some interesting places:

New ore lets you cast spells
In the new POI “Shattered Slabs” you can obtain kinetic ore. With this new material, you can perform physics magic according to Epic Games and strategically attack your opponents. It remains to be seen how creatively players will use this new item in combat.
Reality augmentations give you bonuses in combat
Epic Games shakes up the battlefield with perks. These reality augmentations can be earned during a match and remain until the end of a round. They give you bonuses and make it easier for you to win fights. There will be 22 of these augmentations available from day 1. The following ones have already been announced:
Light Fingers
What does the augmentation do? Weapons with light bullets reload faster.
Bow Legend
What does the augmentation do? You will receive a mechanical boom bow and a mechanical shockwave bow.
Aerialist
What does the augmentation do? Allows you to reuse your glider for the rest of the match.
Tankable Passenger
What does the augmentation do? Your vehicles do not consume fuel and have more health.
Sprint Jump
What does the augmentation do? Jump significantly higher and with lower gravity while sprinting.
You can swap your randomly obtained augmentations for those you have already unlocked later in a match.
New movement option
Players can now jump over obstacles while sprinting. The movements are similar to parkour. Keep in mind that this feature only works while sprinting.
New weapons
Fortnite also offers you seven new weapons at the start of Chapter 4 Season 1 that you can test right away. Here’s what they look like and what they can do:
Ex-Caliber Rifle
What can the weapon do? This devastating semi-automatic rifle fires explosive swords with deadly precision.
Thunder Shotgun
What can the weapon do? This shotgun fires two shells at once, splitting your opponents into alive and not-alive.
Automatic Expert Shotgun
What can the weapon do? This shotgun fires its projectiles automatically and in quick succession, but has a moderate range.
Red-Eye Assault Rifle
What can the weapon do? This weapon is a burst rifle with an accurate red dot sight. The fire rate is tuned to ensure that precision and your aim don’t suffer.
Twin-Mag SMG
What can the weapon do? This submachine gun is designed for fast reloading and therefore features a twin magazine.
Tactical Pistol
What can the weapon do? This pistol is fully automatic, has a large magazine, and strong firepower.
Shockwave Hammer
What can the weapon do? This hammer can launch not only you but also your enemies and friends and the air. To swing it, you slam the hammer to the ground and catapult yourself with force at your opponents.
New consumable items
Fortnite hasn’t skimped on the items you can use either. You can find three new goodies on the map. These are:
Slap Berries
What does the item do? The item gives you stamina and a short unlimited supply of sprint energy when consumed. This way you can sprint longer than usual.
Slap Juice
What does the item do? Slap Juice gives you more stamina and a longer sprint than the Slap Berry itself.
Air Jellies
What does the item do? These Air Jellies float in various locations on the Chapter 4 map. Players can touch them to receive a bit of stamina and a jumping effect, just like the jump mushrooms in Chapter 3 Season 4.
Flying Loot Drop Spots are back
What are those chests? In Fortnite, starting from Season 1 Chapter 4, some locations on the map are randomly designated as “hot spots.” You can recognize them by the golden text on the map. In such hot spots, drones with rare loot hover in the air. You need to shoot them down and collect the loot. Veterans from Chapter 1 will remember these drones.
New mechanic: Capture Points
How does the mechanic work? On the new map in Chapter 4, there will be certain points known as capture points. These can be taken by teams to detect intruders and mark nearby boxes.
If a team takes such a banner, it will also be rewarded with loot. Note that other teams can outpace you and offer resistance.
Unreal Engine 5.1 – Everything more alive
With Chapter 4, Epic Games has transitioned to Unreal Engine 5.1. Players will experience more vibrant and realistic environments in matches.

Aside from a few red elements with the team’s ‘LA’ lettering, the skin is black. No eyes, no big accents – a pure and deep black. Thus, the skin actually reminds less of Roze, and more of another nasty black skin from the first Warzone.
Is the skin really that bad? The skin made it to the top sellers on Steam right at release:
Also on Reddit, there are the first reports about how often the skin has already been seen in matches of Modern Warfare 2 (via reddit.com). With spreading and usage, the skin could already compete with Roze.
Whether the skin actually provides similar advantages remains to be seen. At least the CoD pro and assault rifle specialist ‘Octane’ is convinced of that. However, he is also part of the LA Thieves this season:
What does the team say about it? Nadeshot is a former CoD pro and founder of the esports organization ‘100 Thieves’ to which the LA Thieves also belong.
He commented on how the skin came about and said that they didn’t really think about it:
Statement in the video from minute 00:15 – “We had very little time to put this together. But we also liked the simplicity of our jerseys from last year and we didn’t want to change much. […] When I saw this, I thought, this thing is not exactly … great. But we had little time and few options”.
You can hear that at least Nadeshot would have appreciated a bit more color accents. So now we have a deep black skin monster in the game, and every really dark spot has become a bit more dangerous.
CoD Warzone 2 likely won’t have as many problems with such dark skins as its predecessor. For example, it uses different resolutions around enemies and supports perception.

Fortnite: Battle Pass of Chapter 4 Season 1 brings Geralt and Doom Slayer
The Battle Pass of Chapter 4 Season 1 in Fortnite has been introduced. We show you the skins and items that you can unlock with it.
What are we showing here? On December 4, Season 1 of the new Chapter 4 in Fortnite starts. With each new season and chapters, the developers release videos that showcase the new content. The trailers for the Battle Pass are particularly popular. This time, however, they didn’t introduce the Battle Pass with a separate video, but showcase the content directly in the gameplay trailer.
If you want, you can purchase the optional Battle Pass for a season. While you do get some content in the free version, the paid version offers more.

What’s included? As you can see in the trailer, some familiar faces can be found in it. Some you know from franchises of other games, others are set in the world of Fortnite.
One character that stands out in the trailer is Geralt of Rivia. You know him from The Witcher. Data miners had already found in the data beforehand that Geralt would be coming to Fortnite. You will unlock the monster hunter later in the Battle Pass.
Also joining is Selene, the “star of the show.” You unlock Selene immediately when you purchase the Battle Pass. And the Timeless is also in the mix.
For shooter enthusiasts who are familiar with other franchises, the Doom Slayer is also a familiar sight. He also makes his way into Fortnite with the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass. Welcome, Marine.

Fortnite: Gameplay trailer for Chapter 4 Season 1 shows gigantic fortresses and huge hammer
Fortnite has revealed its first gameplay trailer for the launch of Chapter 4 Season 1. We show you what to expect and what new features Epic Games has created this time.
What is happening right now? In Fortnite, the reality has shattered with the Zero Point after the live event. It then reformed during the event and created a new map with old POIs.
Players will soon be able to storm the island with the skins of the new Battle Pass and experience many cool things.

Fortifications and new items for combat
What happens in the trailer? The trailer shows the new skins of the Battle Pass as they dive into battle. Many fortifications exist that players can storm to grab loot. These probably originate from The Witcher.
Players will also receive new and old weapons and items that they can use. Portable shields, flying drones, and even a giant hammer can be wielded in battle.
Additionally, a new parkour system supports your travels so that you can be more mobile on foot.
With some equipment, you can then take care of banners that you can capture. These not only drop loot but also unique resources that you can use to upgrade weapons.
In the middle of a match, you will then have the opportunity to unlock new bonuses for combat. These will provide you with advantages, such as faster reloading. To help you move even faster on the map, Epic Games has implemented dirt bikes as a new vehicle.
If you think there is only new stuff, you are mistaken. A well-known weapon has also made it into the game, the rocket launcher. One of the most disastrous and dangerous weapons will most likely be available at the start of Chapter 4.

5 promising MMORPGs that died before they had their release
MMORPGs are an elaborate and risky genre. Not every planned game actually sees its release. We present to you 5 titles that died before their launch.
New MMORPGs are regularly released and at least 5 new games have already been announced for 2023. However, not every game manages to actually achieve a release.
In this list, we present to you 5 MMORPGs that looked really good on paper but never saw the light of day. Some of these mechanics were so innovative that one would still wish for a release today.
EverQuest Next
Setting: Fantasy | Developer: Sony Online Entertainment/Daybreak Games | Announcement: 2012 | Cancellation: 2016 | Planned Platforms: PC, PS4
What kind of game was it? EverQuest Next was supposed to be the third part of the MMORPG series but wanted to do many things differently than its two predecessors. The focus was on the idea of a gigantic sandbox that players could participate in. The idea seemed innovative and ingenious.
Players were supposed to be able to shape the environment and build their own structures, similar to Minecraft. This was supplemented by a special technology for NPCs, allowing them to respond to the customized world, such as entering houses or adjusting dialogues. This was meant to make the often rigid MMORPG world more dynamic.
The classes were supposed to offer you a lot of freedom. Your skills were dependent on your weapon choice but also on keywords like damage, damage over time, or healing. You could customize these even within the abilities. Like in ESO or Guild Wars 1, you were to be limited to a few abilities so that builds within a class could differ drastically.
An addition to EverQuest Next was supposed to be the “game” Landmark. With Landmark, players gained access to tools to create their own content. This content could then optionally be included directly into EverQuest Next by the developers. This would allow players to become developers themselves.
Besides the many freedoms, EverQuest Next also wanted to offer more classic MMORPG content. The quests, for instance, were supposed to be similar to those in Guild Wars 2. There were to be no classic hubs with tasks, but rather on-site events, such as goblins raiding a village or helping with the harvest before enemies burned the field.
With the EverQuest brand backing it, veteran John Smedley as head, and Sony as the financier, it seemed like EverQuest Next could revolutionize MMORPGs.
What did it fail at? Four years after the announcement, the developers announced that work on EverQuest Next had been discontinued. Officially, it was stated that the MMORPG wasn’t fun after they put all the parts together.
Dave Georgeson, a former head of the game, later said: Under Sony, we would have made it. Just before the cancellation, the studio Sony Online Entertainment was sold and renamed to Daybreak Games. The new owner might have found the project too expensive and risky.

Is Blizzard finally back on the right track with WoW Dragonflight?
After Shadowlands dragged on for quite a while and disappointed many people, fans are hoping for a better World of Warcraft with Dragonflight. Does the new expansion bring the long-awaited improvements? MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus thinks: yes, but the course still needs a few corrections.
I have been playing since the end of Classic World of Warcraft, and my longest break without a subscription was a few weeks in a row. I have personally experienced all the highs and lows of the game, and like many others, I find that Shadowlands was definitely a low point.
I don’t want to dwell too much on it, as that would take too long. But the grind … that damn grind for Legendaries, Artifact Power, and Glory was so exhausting. I had no time left to have fun with all those obligations. Many felt the same way.
Consequently, World of Warcraft fans, of which I am one, are placing a lot of hope in Dragonflight. I was already greatly impressed by Dragonflight during the alpha, especially because it brings back more of what WoW used to do well.
Now Dragonflight has been released and has been playable for a few days. I have reached level 70, looked into the endgame content, and explored the world on the live servers. My conclusion after the first few days: Blizzard can still make good MMORPGs. Hopefully, they won’t forget how to do that again.

WoW is making regressions and that’s a good thing
What makes Dragonflight so different from previous expansions? Well, it sounds clichéd, but: it’s going “back to the roots,” this time for real. Instead of introducing new systems, old and overdue content is being revamped first:
- every class has talents again, allowing for some really cool builds
- the UI has been completely redesigned and now has options it should have had for years
- Professions have been completely overhauled and are now genuinely important, as they should have been in Shadowlands
Even the story is already better in Dragonflight than in Shadowlands. The big villain from Shadowlands didn’t really impress anyone. In contrast, the nasty lightning dragon from Dragonflight already has more depth:
So far, Dragonflight has refrained from so-called “Borrowed Power,” as we know them from Legion (Artifact weapon), BfA (Heart of Azeroth), and Shadowlands (Legendaries and Covenants). So far, there is nothing in Dragonflight that makes us stronger “only in this expansion.”
In a way, Blizzard is taking a step back to the time before they had such systems and is focusing on the features that were already there. And not just to use them in this expansion.
As the developers revealed in an interview, Dragonflight is intended to lay the foundation for the future of WoW. And as it currently seems, the plan is working:
- Talent trees can later be easily expanded and built-in “starter builds” ensure that no one feels overwhelmed if they don’t want to deal with them
- the UI will continue to be expanded with new features, as promised. What else is possible remains completely open
- Dragon riding is already the most popular feature from Dragonflight, and some players even hope that it will completely replace regular flying
Although Dragonflight had a pretty rocky start with server issues and bugs and still does, the mood in the community is overwhelmingly positive. Although there are memes and mockery about the problems, the addon is currently being forgiven.
People like Dragonflight too much to be mad at it.
Even experts who, like me, have already played the beta, share this opinion and assessment. One of the biggest German WoW streamers told me in an interview: “Dragonflight is thought out for the long term, and that’s a good thing.” Now I come with a BUT …

How much freedom is too much?
One of the biggest advantages that Dragonflight has so far is the freedom in how you want to develop. Once you reach level 70, you have many options to improve your character.
Shadowlands dictated: gather Glory. Farm 2 Legendaries. Complete the current story. All of this was still associated with a lengthy and repetitive grind. Even switching between specializations wasn’t as simple as it could be.
Dragonflight gives you the choice, at least for now, whether you want to get gear through professions, grind mythic dungeons, raid, or engage in PvP. Even in the open world, there is sometimes stronger gear than in dungeons right at release.
However, this also brings a certain problem. Those who are new may feel overwhelmed by all the options or feel obligated to follow a specific path. I myself have no idea whether the way I’m using my profession is the best. And I’ve spent hours on it …
On the other hand, it also means: whatever you do, everything will somehow advance you. That’s quite good, and with a little adjustment and feedback from the community, it can all work out.
Blizzard is on the right track, but it’s a rocky one
To return to the initial question: yes, Blizzard is currently on the right track. But it is long and not easy for either the developers or the players.
The last few years have taken quite a toll on WoW – and not strongly enough at the same time. WoW languished for a long time, kept running by systems expanded that didn’t really bring any fun, but otherwise offered more of the same.
At Blizzard, there is clearly a change in mindset happening. Where this is coming from? No idea. Maybe it’s due to the impending merger with Microsoft, or maybe the sexism scandal shook the entire workforce up, or perhaps the players have just complained loudly and persistently enough. But Dragonflight shows: WoW is changing right now.
I fully welcome these changes, but I still make sure not to fall too deeply into enthusiasm. Especially because here we compare an addon developed live for 2 years with one that is not even a week old. How good Dragonflight really is can only be finally assessed when the next expansion is released.
Blizzard must now show that they can and want to maintain the course. I certainly won’t tell the developers how to work – but I hope they have realized what World of Warcraft needs. Because WoW has not been this good in many years:

When will Fortnite be back? Players cannot start anything before Chapter 4
In Fortnite the live event has ended and now all players are staring at the sea, wondering when it will continue. Are the servers down? When will Fortnite be back? We will show you the details.
What happened in Fortnite? The live event in Fortnite concluded with a lot of tasks that players had to solve. The zero point has been stabilized and a new map has been created, featuring elements from past seasons and chapters.
Update at 09:05 AM: Fortnite status announced that the downtime for Chapter 4 officially started now, shortly after 9 AM. We will let you know here on MeinMMO as soon as the servers are back online and you can start Chapter 4. Also keep an eye on our live ticker.
Update, 07:30 AM: Leakers believe the actual downtime starts at 09:00 AM German time. From then on, we will provide you with information about the server status again.

Fortnite cannot be played – when and for how long?
New information about gameplay in Chapter 4: Epic Games has now officially released the gameplay trailer for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. It not only showcases new skins but also new weapons.
When and how long is the downtime? So far, no one is sure, but leaker Hypex believes that Chapter 4 will open its doors on Sunday according to Xbox. He assumes that therefore the downtime will last a maximum of 12 hours.
When will the patch notes arrive? In the past, Epic Games has released its patch notes only after the actual update has been released. It is very likely that you will only learn about new information regarding Chapter 4 Season 1 during the course of Sunday.

Fortnite: See here the devastating event for Chapter 4 that tore the whole map apart
The live event “Shattered” took place on Saturday, December 3, in Fortnite. We were live at the event marking the end of Chapter 3. Here we report how the fight against the Harbinger went.
This is what everyone prepared for: The Harbinger and her mysterious chrome-colored slime took over the island of Chapter 3 week by week. While Jonesy was searching for a solution, the end of the map was inevitable. With the live event “Shattered,” a new chapter begins, and we show you what happened.

This is how the live event “Shattered” went
This is what happened in the live event marking the end of Chapter 3: First, you spawned in the middle of a small island floating in space. In a squad of four players, you could see the countdown for the start of the live event on a TV.
The Harbinger exploded the entire map of Chapter 3 in a cinematic. Everything went dark, and the players floated in space. The Paradigm managed to stabilize the Zero Point with Kim.
Players could then repair the Zero Point in the form of Zero Point fragments, and it drew in more pieces of floating islands. Gradually, a new map was formed.
While solving the tasks, voice lines sounded reporting on the current situation and explaining to the players what was happening. The Paradigm tried to stabilize the Zero Point by offering a piece of her existing reality to it.
She was pulled through the galaxy, and many upcoming skins for Chapter 4 were shown, including MrBeast, Hulk, Geralt of Rivia, and even the Doom Slayer. Now, the players are watching the new map from a distance with a few marshmallows.

Fortnite: The live event for the end of Chapter 3 and the start of Chapter 4 is about to begin – What to expect
In Fortnite the live event of Chapter 3 Season 4 is starting soon. This not only marks the end of the mentioned chapter but also kicks off the new Chapter 4. We will show you what to expect today, on December 3rd.
When does the live event start? The live event of Chapter 3 Season 4 is set to take place on December 3rd at 10 PM German time. The duration is approximately 40 minutes. As usual, Epic Games will deactivate all known modes before the event begins. Only a special mode will be active, which players can log into 15–30 minutes beforehand.

All Important Information about the Live Event for the End of Chapter 3
What can I expect? Although Epic Games has been sparse with information about the live event and only released a teaser, it is clear that a lot of destruction and chaos is coming for the players.
The story and other hints indicate the takeover by the chrome, while the island’s inhabitants try to defend themselves. A great threat is approaching, and it is unclear whether Jonesy will manage to stop it with our help.
After the event, the servers of Fortnite will typically be shut down, and players will have to wait several hours until the update becomes available. Again, we will keep you updated with all vital information throughout the weekend.
Are there free items for the event? In fact, there will be a gift in the form of an emote. This is called Marsh Meal and allows you to roast marshmallows over a campfire with your friends.
It is not yet known if Epic Games will provide additional gifts, such as a free skin, a weapon wrap, or lobby music. To receive the emote, you must ensure that you log in at least once between December 2nd at 3:00 PM and December 4th at 8:45 AM. You will then receive the gift over the following days.

New MOBA on Steam wants to be like LoL directly in the endgame – Here’s how it plays
Fangs is a new MOBA from former developers of DOTA and League of Legends. It launched in Early Access on November 30 on Steam and the Epic Store and is free to play. MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch has taken a look at it and reveals what to expect.
What kind of game is it? In Fangs, you choose a champion and fight in fast-paced and action-packed PvP matches. The special twist: you start with all abilities and there is no shop to buy items. This has two main advantages:
- You bypass the often boring leveling and laning phases from LoL and DOTA 2, where the focus is usually on farming to get the first items.
- There is no snowball effect, where one team gains a lot of gold early on and then dominates thanks to powerful items.
Fangs clearly focuses on player skill and teamwork in the fast-paced 4v4 battles. The arena is also much smaller than in the existing giants, leading to constant fights.
For tactical depth there are the so-called “heirlooms.” These are various passive effects that you can equip to enhance your abilities, comparable to the rune system in LoL.
What is the objective of the game? Each match is played in a best-of-5 format, with a round lasting on average between two and eight minutes. To win a round, you have two options:
- During the match, you escort an NPC who starts in the center of the map. He moves towards the enemy base, depending on how many players from the teams are in his radius – similar to the caravans in Team Fortress 2 or Overwatch. If he reaches the enemy base, you win.
- A different player from the team is the captain each round. If this player is killed four times, the round is lost as well.
You can also exchange the heirlooms after each round. You have 60 seconds to do this before the next round begins. Overall, the game resembles a mix of LoL and Battlerite.

Unusual controls, but cool arenas
I spent about two hours in Fangs yesterday at the start of Early Access. The first big surprise I experienced was right from the controls.
I move my character using WASD instead of the usual mouse clicks that I’m used to from MOBAs. Instead, two attacks are assigned to the left and right mouse buttons. Other abilities are mapped to Q, E, Shift, and the Ultimate is on R. Additionally, there is always an ability mapped to the spacebar that allows me to move, either toward a target or to roll away.
Currently, there’s no option in the settings to map movement to the mouse. However, I can remap any key, including W, A, S, and D.
However, you surprisingly get used to the different controls quickly.
I find the design of the arenas to be positive. They are small but offer many options to disappear from enemy sight, such as walls or other objects. There are also bushes for hiding and healing effects at the edges.
Another interesting mechanic lies always at the north of the map: the shard. If I bring it to my own base, my team gets a buff. Conversely, if I bring it to the opponents, they are weakened.
Even though the maps are so small, there is also a mount that gets me from A to B faster, but has a short cast time.
The arenas basically ensure that I always have something to do, be it surviving in fights, escorting the NPC, or quickly securing one of the side objectives.
The matches are fun, the champions are sometimes not
Of the six matches I played, five were really fun. Only one round clearly ended with a 3:0 for the opponents, otherwise it was a constant back and forth, three times it even ended 3:2.
A small mistake can decide a round, but you don’t lose the entire match. That is the big difference to LoL and DOTA 2, where a lost team fight can directly lead to the end. I really like the basic idea of the game.
Currently, I can play in Early Access in a normal match, in private lobbies, or in a training mode. The leaderboard will be activated later.
However, I have problems with the champions. Currently, there are only 14 different characters to choose from, of which I only have direct access to 6. I need to unlock the rest. For comparison: LoL launched with 40 champions at release and at least made 10 of them always available for free.
As a fan of ranged characters, it’s particularly disappointing that only Rayo fits my playstyle. There are officially four ranged characters, but three of them are mages. Rayo is the only “classic AD-carry” with a firearm. Too few to keep me engaged long-term.
Additionally, many champions bear a strong resemblance to those from LoL, which is certainly not completely avoidable. However, other titles like Battlerite or DOTA 2 have developed their own styles that are more distinct than Fangs.
Things are also quite crazy with the German localization. The champions are our “inventory,” the match history is called “career,” the shop is translated as “savings,” and if I want to select a champion or an heirloom, I have to “block” it.
The developers definitely need to improve this, and if you want to play Fangs, you should definitely switch to English.
Free2Play with the same fair system as LoL
Fangs is free to play and funds itself through a shop. In the shop, you can buy skins for your heroes or mounts for real money. Champions are available both for real money and for in-game currency. You also buy new passive effects, the “heirlooms,” with in-game currency.
If you want to spend a little money in the game, you can buy a Battle Pass. This includes new stickers and icons for your account and brings a special skin at the very end.
Fun for a while, but is that enough?
Fangs is quite fun after the first two hours. Right from the start, there’s action, the rounds are engaging, and the fact that there are two ways to win adds some variety. Additionally, the developers are already planning the first tournament with a prize pool of $25,000.
However, the game still lacks a bit of depth, champion selection, and somehow the big uniqueness. Although the rules and controls are adapted, I still don’t feel the urge to leave LoL for it. And I’m probably not alone in that.

How good was the MMORPG Runes of Magic in 2009?
Runes of Magic is an MMORPG from 2009 that enjoyed great popularity at the time. But how good was it really back then? We at MeinMMO take a look back.
What kind of game is it? Runes of Magic is a free-to-play MMORPG from Taiwan developed by Runewalker Entertainment. It is published here by Gameforge, which is also known for other MMORPGs like Metin2 and Aion.
You choose a race and a class, after which you enter the corresponding starting area and step into the fantasy world of Taborea. The story is about gods bringing the land to life and searching for a mystical legacy from the past. You as a hero are to support them in this.
You focus on leveling up and improving your character. The maximum level at the start was 55; it is now 100.
The following content is offered in Runes of Magic:
- Dungeons and bosses in the open world
- Raids for up to 36 players
- Housing
- Crafting
- Mounts, but only at higher levels; initially, you have to walk
- PvP with various modes

When Runes of Magic was released in 2009, it initially received criticism: It looks like World of Warcraft – the developers are accused of copying the MMORPG. Not just the graphics, but also the battles and the user interface are similar to the WoW of that time.
However, this was the perfect solution for players who could not afford the subscription in WoW. That’s why so many players joined Runes of Magic back then. “If you’re looking for a WoW clone, this is your game,” says Youtuber MMOHuts in a video from 2010.

Combining Classes
In character creation, you choose your race and class, but that’s not your only class. You can then select from different faces and hairstyles using sliders, adjust hair color, and even shape different body regions. Characters can vary widely in size and width.
The class system of Runes of Magic was a special feature at the time. You leveled up two classes simultaneously – for example, Warrior and Priest. Today, it’s even three. You can thus switch between classes and their talents. As a warrior-priest, you are a paladin. The addition of the third class has made it even more complex, but it was already interesting in 2009.
Thus, it provided much more variation than other MMORPGs at the time. Classless systems were not as common back then as they are in modern MMOs.
Very, Very Many Quests
Runes of Magic overwhelms you with quests, which can feel overwhelming at first. You receive quest after quest, even before killing your first monsters. This can quickly become confusing for some players. However, once you understand them, they guide you through the MMORPG and offer assistance.
The quests themselves have you running from point A to point B and feel grindy since you might, for example, need to find and kill 25 wolves. Thus, they are more repetitive than individual and exciting. Youtuber TheLazyPeon tested Runes of Magic last year from today’s perspective and gave up after 40 minutes, stating, “This drains my willpower.” The quests felt too monotonous for him.
A major problem was and still is the inventory space – it is nowhere near enough to carry everything you receive from completing quests. Both in the past and today, your bag simply isn’t sufficient.
Strong Pay2Win Aspects
Youtuber Pwnance tested Runes of Magic last year and summed it up as “Credit Cards of Magic”. The cash shop of the MMORPG offers many options to enhance your character for real money and becomes increasingly important in the later stages of the game to keep up with others. For instance, there are jewels that can either enhance your item or fail and degrade it.
If you die, you lose experience. That’s why you can buy items that prevent this. Additionally, there are very powerful runes and other items that are difficult or almost impossible to farm in-game.
The inventory space problem can also be solved by investing real money. That is why it has likely never been improved for free-to-play players, even though everyone complains about it.
To always be optimally equipped for the corresponding level, you can buy equipment directly in the cash shop. Every few levels, there’s something new.
The Youtuber Josh Strife Hayers talks in a video about players he met on Discord. They claimed to have spent over 10,000 dollars on Runes of Magic and still did not have the best possible equipment.
Is the game still available today? You can still play Runes of Magic today – even on Steam. In its home country Taiwan, however, it has already gone offline and is likely to die in Europe at some point as well, as the player numbers are very low.
According to SteamDB, there were a peak of 212 simultaneous players online in Runes of Magic in the last 24 hours. A few more on the standalone client. The question of whether it is still worth it today should be asked by everyone themselves. At least for the nostalgia aspect, you should check it out again before it’s too late.

Wait before you redeem your weekly rewards in WoW – They will be better
Specific rewards in WoW Dragonflight scale with your current item level. You should redeem them later. MeinMMO reveals how you can get the most out of the rewards.
Why should I wait? As wowhead reports, many rewards from the open world in WoW Dragonflight scale with the items you are wearing. Simply put: the better your gear is, the better the rewards will be.
Since November 30, you can complete several activities from which you can draw epic items. However, some of them are limited to one reward per week or become weaker the more often you complete them. The most important ones are:
- Support the Accord (“Aiding the Accord”) in Valdrakken
- Siege of the Dragonbane Keep at the Coast of Awakening
- Great Hunts of the Maruuk in the Plains of Ohn’ahra
- The Feast of the Tuskarr in the Azure Span
- Test of the Flood in the Plains of Ohn’ahra
- Trial of the Elements in the alternative future of the Primalists
When should I redeem rewards? As a rule of thumb, you should aim to secure your rewards on Tuesday. From then on, it is unlikely that your item level will rise significantly further during that week.
However, since not everyone has the whole Tuesday available to complete the events in one go, you should at least have completed all mythic dungeons for the week. They have a fixed loot level of 372.
You can complete the quest “Support the Accord” and then keep it in your quest log to hand it in on Tuesday – before the weekly reset on Wednesday. In any case, make sure to improve your gear as much as possible before picking up the rewards.

WoW Dragonflight: Farming Epic Gear and Increasing Item Level
To improve your gear after reaching level 70, dungeons are particularly suitable. Heroic and mythic dungeons can be completed with a group as soon as you reach level 70, if you are confident that you can handle it.
Otherwise, PvP and world quests are excellent for getting further improvements. A particularly popular method is also the farming of rare mobs in the open world. The loot here also scales with your equipped level, but you can receive loot from each enemy daily. This was adjusted, after players exploited the system.

If you have very bad luck and have not gotten any improvements or simply want to upgrade individual slots, turn to crafting and trading. You’ll surely find offers for items in the guild or the auction house that can help you.

Pokémon GO changes tasks of the special research with Cosmog, which many have already solved
In Pokémon GO the special research “A Cosmic Companion” has been active for several months. Recently, the tasks involving the development of Cosmog and Cosmoem have caused issues. Now, the tasks are no longer available after many trainers had already developed their Cosmog for it.
What kind of task is this? In the special research A Cosmic Companion, you will be required to develop your Cosmog and later Cosmoem in chapters 5 and 9. At this point, you can own a maximum of one of these specimens. Therefore, some trainers wanted to wait and prefer to keep their Cosmog and Cosmoem.
However, the tasks have now been changed and the development is no longer necessary.
Niantic changes chapters 5 and 9 of Cosmic Companion
What’s new: The third task in chapter 5 of Cosmic Companion was “Develop a Cosmog”. Now, you only need to develop any Psychic-type Pokémon for the task.
In chapter 9, the only task was “Develop a Cosmoem”. Now, the task simply states to develop any Psychic-type Pokémon. “Develop a Psychic-type Pokémon” is now the task listed.
We tried it out and can confirm that developing a Psychic-type Pokémon solves the task. Nevertheless, Rhi tells us after completing the task: “Un… unbelievable! Cosmoem has developed!” and how much he enjoys witnessing such a sight.
Why is there the change? In recent weeks, there have been ongoing problems with the tasks. Sometimes, Cosmog or Cosmoem could not even be developed. Parts of the completed developments did not count towards the research.
The Niantic support had to help many players on Twitter who were simply stuck on the tasks. Just on December 1, the support tweeted that they had solved the problem with Cosmog and Cosmoem that could not evolve (via Twitter). Now, on December 3, players noticed that the tasks of the research had been adjusted.
What do the trainers say? Some players are disappointed because they now had to develop their only Cosmog or Cosmoem to progress in the research, while other players do not have to do this anymore (via reddit). Trainers write, “How can they do this after I developed mine!” or “I’m glad I never developed mine. I wanted to wait until I got another Cosmog.” Others are not really affected by the change and explain that they only need it for their Pokédex and don’t really care that the research has now changed.
Currently, there are no other ways to obtain a Cosmog apart from this research. Accordingly, players are careful with their only specimen.
However, Niantic has already revealed that there will be more opportunities to obtain Cosmog in the future.

This is what players are discussing: Some suspect that Inarius, an angel, could be hiding behind the robe. 18 year old MMORPG brings new expansion – Most expensive version costs as much as 2 Collector’s Editions of WoW
EverQuest II is one of the oldest active MMORPGs that you can still play. With ‘Renewal of Ro’, the latest expansion has been launched. For the most expensive edition, you have to pay 250 euros.
Which MMORPG is it about? Everquest II is one of the oldest games in the genre. Everquest I was released in 1999, and a few years later, in 2004, the sequel EverQuest II was released. Everquest II is one of the ancient MMORPGs that are still actively played today.
