2. Lost Ark Timer – When the compass in the game is not enough

When you open it, you enter the current gold price for blue crystals at the top. The tool then calculates how much gold you would pay per piece for the depicted items if you buy them from Mari for crystals. You can then compare whether it is cheaper to shop at Mari for crystals or in the market for gold. A useful tool for not-so-full pockets.

How does it work? The Refinement Optimizer is incredibly easy to use. You use it in parallel while grinding in the game and best open it before starting to work on the stone. Now you only need to choose how many slots your ability stone has at the top. The standard is set to 8, but there are indeed stones with more and fewer slots.

After all, I like to open another page more each day. The sheet helps you keep an eye on how far you are with your reputation missions and NPC rapports. It also shows you which rewards are still waiting for you.

How do you use the tool? To use the tracker itself, you need to go to “File” at the top of the table and then create a copy for yourself. You cannot edit the actual table.
Once you have created your own copy, you first have a bit of work to do. Because now you have to enter how far you are with which tasks. You do this on the reputation page as well as on the pink-marked rapport page. Once you have filled everything out, you can see at a glance what you should do next.
Additionally, you have an overview of the required gear score, how many days you need to complete your goal, and what rewards await you. This helps especially in deciding which task you want to focus on next.
What is the downside? Compared to the other tools on this list, you have to fill and update the tracker relatively manually. Here, less occurs automatically than, for example, with BynnArk or Tooki. Nevertheless, I personally find the tracker simply clearer than the view of the other tools or even that in the game.
6. Lost Merchants – Always in the right place at the right time
What kind of tool is this? At Lost Merchants it is a great community project that can help you in many places in the game even in the long term. It is used to scout and track traveling merchants.
The principle is quite simple. The tool tracks by itself when the next traveling merchant appears in which area. If a player finds it, he reports it on Lost Merchants and selects from a simple, prepared list what the merchant has available for purchase.
Once he sends it, the merchant, his location, and his goods are shared on the site for everyone. As a user, you can then set alarms only for specific items, such as the legendary Wei card or legendary rapport items.

How do you use the tool? Getting started with Lost Merchants is straightforward. You open the site, select your region and server, and you are mostly ready for action. Now you just need to sensitize the tool for the items you want.

What kind of tool is this? Maxroll is a go-to place for most Lost Ark players. The site offers helpful tips for almost any situation but is often not very clear. The “One Page Cheat Sheet” is, however, a true source of clarity and is thus a must for every player in the endgame.
It shows you all the essential mechanics of all major raid bosses on just one page and requires minimal navigation, so with a second monitor, you can quickly click around on the page even during the fight.
However, it should be noted that the cheat sheet does not adequately explain the mechanics. It helps you briefly if you are not 100% sure about one of the boss mechanics.

How do you use the tool? You open the site, select the corresponding boss you want to tackle, and that’s it for the usage instructions. The cheat sheet quickly shows you what items you need to bring and at how many health points which mechanic starts.
Additionally, it provides a quickly digestible rundown of the individual mechanics. These overviews are designed to be brief and visually memorable, so often a quick glance at the second monitor or phone during the boss is enough to know what’s next.
Moreover, detailed guides are linked directly for each gate if you want to refresh them before a fight. The “One Page Cheat Sheet” is thus brilliant for raid beginners, but even after hundreds of raids, I still often keep the page open.
Equally brilliant is Maxroll’s “Kakul Bingo” tool. However, it is so specific that we only briefly mention it here and do not list it as a separate point. In the third phase of the boss Kakul-Saydon, you must play bingo during the fight to defeat him.

Paracausal means that while Light and Darkness obey physics, they ignore and circumvent the conventional cause and effect system.
Throughout the entire story and even in Season 19 of Destiny 2, this term “the Veil” was used repeatedly. In the campaign, you can see it for the first time.
The Neptunian city in Osiris’ visions exists. I do not know exactly where, but there is “the Veil,” an object of great paracausal power. It is connected to the Traveler.

The Veil is a strangely colorful, yet majestic object and a light structure that falls several stories in the form of a tree or a connected network of astart-like structures.
It was originally hidden on Neptune by Savathun to keep the Witness at bay during the first collapse, saving humanity. The Veil could therefore be something like a core or the soul of the Traveler.
Moreover, every NPC conveys the message that he is super important. But the player does not really learn why.

During individual Vex experiments, Maya and parts of her scientific team were simulated by the Vex. “MSund12,” who is mentioned at the end of the strike “Terminus of Insight,” is the 12th simulated copy of Maya Sundaresh and is said to exist to this day.
It is also known that Maya herself or one of her virtual copies allegedly infiltrated the Clovis Bray research facility on Europa to obtain information about the clarity control, the paracausal power that guided Clovis in his experiments.
Also in Lightfall, the name Maya appears in the form of the location “Maya’s Refuge.” Perhaps not without reason.
Ghost approaches the Veil and says: “Finality takes shape”.
Your Ghost also notices that it feels like the Veil is the same as the Traveler.
As we progress, Calus reveals to us during the campaign that it is a “grave” for something.
The Witness wants and needs the Veil. He doesn’t attempt to connect to the Veil through Calus with the radial antenna for no reason.
In the exotic quest, it is also learned that the Black Heart was a failed attempt to restore the Veil. An attempt made by the Witness.
The Witness has a unique ability to take over and command ghosts.
When Ghost is once again “abducted” by the Witness and approaches the Veil, it says: “We have finally found you.” The Veil could really be the soul of the Traveler, otherwise, he might have said “We have finally found it.”
At the end of the Lightfall campaign, it turns out that the Witness’s mission was never to destroy the Traveler, but to use it to create some sort of portal. For this, the Witness “imprints” a triangular shape onto the surface of the Traveler and then disappears into it.
Here the story continues:Through the quest “Unfinished Business” the story continues. Here you learn that the Black Heart in the Black Garden was a paracausal power source that was destroyed in Destiny Vanilla. It was an imperfect replica of the Veil. The Vex are somehow also involved in that.
Where did the Witness disappear into the Traveler? Does he want to return to the starting point?
Now the Traveler stands in space directly in front of the H.E.L.M. with the portal in the middle, and no one knows what the Witness has done with it and where he has disappeared to. Ikora informs the Guardians that we currently cannot follow the Witness. Scans have shown that neither the Vanguard nor any Guardian possesses the technology or power. One would not survive it. Furthermore, the ghosts of the Guardians can still sense the Traveler – but not as strongly as before.
From patrols, we learn that the Witness has opened a “Einstein-Rosen Bridge” with the portal. This has been determined by the scientists of Neomuna.
The so-called “Einstein-Rosen bridge” is a wormhole that connects two distant regions of space via a near-singularity. So it is a connection route through space and time.
So far the facts from the current story campaign of Lightfall, which were all quite obvious. Now let’s get to the theory of what the Veil is and why the Witness needs it at all.
The Traveler may lead to the “Philosopher’s Stone”
On reddit, players have now put forward an interesting theory regarding the end in Lightfall.
When you bring the Veil, the pyramids, and the Traveler together, you get the pattern of the legendary “Philosopher’s Stone”.
The path to a perfect, final form: After the Veil established the connection to the Traveler, the Witness began to construct that very symbol with the Traveler to create a portal. The crucial ingredient – the Veil – made the beginning of this perfect construct possible.
The Veil, connecting with the Traveler, thus enabled the Witness to create “the perfect squaring of the circle” or at least begin with the squaring of the circle by “pressing” a triangle onto the Traveler.
The portal that the Witness opens could possibly be a portal to “perfection”. A portal to an area from which life flows.
Is this the “Final Form” that the Witness is striving for?
If you also consider that the Guardians have found many allies in Destiny 2, especially through Strands, that we learned that we swim together in a river connected by many threads.
It is assumed that the weapon whose energy is Strand also works from a byproduct of the Veil and its energy signatures. There is even a term “anima mundi” for this.
The term “anima mundi”: Here it is assumed that the four elements come from a common source or prima materia (first matter), connected by chaos or emptiness. For this, however, a “world soul” is needed, which according to several philosophical systems can establish an intrinsic connection between all living beings in the universe.
Admittedly, all of this sounds rather scientific. However, Bungie often refers to such scientific ideas and theories. Entropy, with Stasis and Europa, black holes, planes of emptiness in the universe with dark matter or even their own creations, like the paracausal entities. This has often caused some Guardians to suddenly find themselves with their noses in a scientific book.
The Witness is not unlike Savathun: In a way, the Witness tricked the Guardians similarly to how the Witch Queen once did. We could not really win. The Witness always had the upper hand. As if he planned that at least one of the two opposing parties would reach the Veil.
In the last battle, Calus says we Guardians must stay alive. Perhaps he even knew about this plan of the Witness. But it is clear: The Witness would have won in any case. Since we could defeat Calus, he used our Ghost to complete his plan.
How will the story of Lightfall continue?
The campaign is not the end: After these insights and what is known about Bungie’s storytelling pathways, upcoming quest and endgame content should provide more context about the Veil, its nature, and its connection to the Traveler itself.
The Exo-Quest “Unfinished Business” is received after completing the campaign and already contains further important information about the Veil.
There, Nimbus reveals more details about this great mystery through Rohan. Or as Ikora would say: “We will proceed step by step… Unwaveringly”.

Additionally, there are still 4 seasons in the DLC that could be linked to further information about the Lightfall campaign. One should also be aware that some things may no longer be communicated in video format but instead rely on written lore transmissions or side quests in the game.
As a player, it is always worth taking a look at the loot lore entries from Destiny 2, including weapons, sparrows, and exotic lore. Quests can also reveal further story details.

When players have completed the Lightfall campaign in Destiny 2, it’s far from over. Next up is the Exo weapon quest “Unfinished Business,” through which you can snag the Exo MG “Deterministic Chaos.” MeinMMO tells you how and explains the 13-step quest.
What is this Exo quest? Every player who successfully completes the Destiny 2: Lightfall campaign gains access to the exotic quest “Unfinished Business.” Here, Nimbus tasks you with finding data packages and completing Rohan’s endeavors that he pursued before the conflict with Emperor Calus and the Witness.
The quest also leads players into the raid “Garden of Salvation” – just backwards – and offers new story beats about the ominous Veil beyond the Lightfall campaign.
To successfully complete the final step of the Exo quest “Unfinished Business,” a power level of 1,770 is recommended. Therefore, it is advisable to choose the Legendary campaign right from the start. This automatically grants you a complete gear set at this power level.

How to get the machine gun “Deterministic Chaos” in Destiny 2
This quest is about: The exotic quest “Unfinished Business“ consists of a total of 13 steps and is not particularly difficult to complete. But it will reveal more details about the Lightfall story and also reward you with an Exo weapon.

Step 7 – Now you need a compass. The quest now sends you to a special Lost Sector “Liming Harbor” on Neomuna. There you need to find a compass.
Step 8 – Cause chaos in Ahimsa Park. Next, chaos will ensue with the Cabal in Ahimsa Park. You need to lure them away from Calus’s ship. The more abilities you use, the better, as that creates more chaos and you must kill a total of 100 enemies.

The MMORPG “Bless Global” launched yesterday on Steam. However, some players are all too familiar with the title and react with amusement on reddit about the reunion with an old game that simply keeps coming back in a new version.
“Bless Global” is the title of the new MMORPG on Steam, which had its release on March 1, 2023. But the game isn’t really that new at all. For some in the gaming community, it is an old acquaintance that has tried to restart on the platform multiple times.

What is behind Bless Global? To understand the community’s reaction, here is a brief overview of the previous events related to the game title:
The MMORPG Bless Online was eagerly awaited by MMORPG fans in 2018 before its release – but it then failed miserably. Among other things, the reasons for this were numerous technical problems and the lack of certain content. On September 9, 2019, the MMORPG was closed by developer Neowiz.
Although the game is still available on Steam, it died in November 2022 on consoles and support for Xbox One and PS4 was discontinued.
Now the game is attempting a reboot with Bless Global. The game is announced as a fantasy MMO with immersive design and PvP elements.
Bless Global also has a mobile version that shares crossplay with the Steam version and offers NFTs. Both things are generally less well received by gamers.
Thus, negative reviews have already emerged at launch. Currently, it is rated fairly on Steam, but has only received 139 user reviews so far. Of those, only 61% are positive (as of March 2, 2023, via Steam).
How does the community react? On reddit, u/Apxa posted the Steam page of Bless Global and writes: “You won’t believe what just launched on Steam”.
Some users joke about the fact that a “new” MMORPG has been released, but many also make it clear that they will not give the game any further chances and advise against playing it.

During the long development period, the creators of Sons of the Forest have repeatedly explained what makes the game so special. A major point: the behavior of the opponents. But the AI isn’t working at all, some fans now claim. What’s the truth?
What’s the deal with NPCs? One of the big features of Sons of the Forest are the NPCs, who should react differently to you and supposedly have their own personalities. This is intended to make them more dangerous and interesting as opponents.
The idea is quite simple: if you are friendly, opponents will not attack you at first. Cannibals also fight among themselves or have issues with mutants. On the other hand, it’s also true: if you are particularly cruel to opponents, they will take revenge.
You should be able to decide how you want to proceed – thoughtfully or aggressively? However, this apparently does not work well yet.
This is what players are saying now: In a huge thread on reddit, hundreds of players are currently discussing the artificial intelligence in Sons of the Forest. The accusations of the creator:
Cannibals are not that intelligent, they do not patrol and just appear instead of actively coming out of their camps
different tribes do not conduct any war
there is no “reputation” system as promised
deterrents like heads on sticks have no effect
every encounter plays out the same way, the groups of opponents are also all similarly or identically structured
mutants do not crawl out of caves, but simply spawn, sometimes in the camp
There are also some problems with Kelvin and Virginia, such as them getting stuck even though there are doors and passages right next to them that they can use. By the way: if you lose the two, you can respawn Kelvin and Virginia with a trick.

“I think the AI works”
The discussion has now resulted in over 413 comments. Some agree that the AI isn’t what was promised. However, Sons of the Forest is still unexpectedly in Early Access, instead of being in a finished state as initially announced.
Some users, who apparently have deeper expertise, disagree. boisteroushams says, for example: If you look at what is going on through the debug mode, much more is happening with NPC opponents than you would expect. A lot is happening in the background.
User ZeroaFH even tested it himself. After he completed the game, he loaded a saved game after 10 days because the aggressiveness was not as high there. He was indeed able to observe intelligent behavior in NPCs there. He says:
“I think the AI is in the game and works, but it takes several factors before that becomes obvious. Once more cannibal tribes come, I think it will grow much further.
The only opponent that feels out of place regarding AI behavior are the skinny mud men. At first, they observe from a distance and follow you from afar. But once the aggressiveness is high enough, it feels like they always notice you, no matter how high your stealth meter is.”
Other players compare the AI with that of the first part of The Forest. It also initially seemed very rudimentary but had many nuances. There are just too many factors that ultimately result in an opponent hitting you in the face.
The developers have already announced that Sons of the Forest will be further developed and will receive new content. At the moment, they are fixing bugs and regularly releasing hotfixes for that. A console version in the future is at least not ruled out:

xQc is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch based on viewer hours (via sullygnome). He was previously a professional Overwatch player on a team in the Overwatch League but was kicked out due to inappropriate behavior.

What does xQc say? In a Twitch stream from February 28, 2023, the streamer reacts to a Twitter post from CharlieIntel. It addresses that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, an 8-year-old game, has technical issues on Steam, but a soon-to-come update is supposed to help.

Here, xQc criticizes how long it has taken to address the issues. Then he berates what he believes to be the “real problem” of Activision Blizzard and makes a statement:
“This message goes directly to … Activision Blizzard, um, Treyarch Studios, whoever the hell makes this game. Listen … it’s cool that you’re fixing the game we can’t play. The real problem is the prices! I have spent the last three years advocating on my entire platform! To fix the prices, okay?”
He is outraged that it is so expensive to get the entire game on Steam and fumes: “That’s $800 for old content!” It doesn’t make sense and is one of the most expensive items in the entire Steam store. He demands a price reduction, otherwise, nobody would buy the game.
xQc goes even further: “If you significantly lowered the price, okay, then people would actually buy it for what it’s worth. I will play your game, people will play, all the free advertising, because I enjoy playing the game. Okay? Until then, you get this”.
He then shows the middle finger to the camera. He clarifies that if the company adjusts the prices, they would have his support by showing a thumbs up.
How does the community react? A large part of the comments under the YouTube video agrees with xQc’s criticism and supports the streamer in his opinion. Some suspect a selling strategy behind it, while others broaden the criticism to the gaming industry as a whole.

Markus: “The only reason they don’t lower the prices is that they don’t want people playing the older games. They want you to spend all your time on the newer releases so they can milk you with microtransaction purchases”.

The Open Beta of Diablo 4 is starting soon. The developers have released a new teaser shortly before, showing some gameplay snippets. Additionally, there is information about the content. You can test quite a bit.

There is now new information about what will be included in the Open Beta of Diablo 4. We already knew that you can play up to level 25 and explore the first act along with the prologue. New is:
you can play all 5 classes of Diablo 4 by the second weekend and create up to 10 characters
you can play alone or in co-op with a group of up to 4 players
even couch co-op works and in the pre-order beta, only one player needs to have access
Anyone participating in the beta can earn a nice reward that is actually too sweet for Diablo 4. You will also receive up to 2 titles depending on how far you progress in the beta.
The beta runs for only 3 days each weekend, but you can play unlimited. Even if your character reaches level 25, you can continue. You just won’t level up anymore. Progress between weekends is carried over, but there will be a wipe afterwards.
