In the open beta of Diablo 4, you can finally try out all 5 classes. Which one do you like the most?
Here you can vote: You can make your choice in the survey box below. Everyone can cast one vote and the choice cannot be reversed.
Let us know in the comments why you voted for the respective class. What is your personal fun ranking among the three classes? Will you take one of them as your main class at release?
These are the classes of the pre-order beta: On the second beta weekend, you can test all 5 classes of Diablo 4 that cover various playstyles:
The Barbarian is a physical melee fighter who crushes his opponents with powerful attacks. He can equip up to 4 different weapons: two-handed blunt weapon, two-handed blade weapon, and 2x one-handed weapons. These are needed to execute his abilities. In battle, they use Fury as a resource.
The Sorceressis a magical ranged combat class that wields the elements of ice, fire, and lightning. She can rain down meteors and thunderstorms on her enemies or alternatively summon a fire hydra to support her on the battlefield. The Sorceress’s abilities can also be modified by enchantments.
The Huntress is a hybrid fighter who excels in both melee and ranged combat. She can use swords, daggers, bows, or crossbows as needed. Additionally, she can apply various effects such as poison, ice, or shadow to these weapons to deal even more damage.
The Necromancer has the ability to raise a small army of undead to fight for him. Alternatively, he can afflict his enemies with various curses to weaken them, or strengthen himself with blood magic.
The Druid can manipulate the power of nature and unleash it on his enemies in the form of earthquakes and tornadoes. He can also directly engage in combat in bear form to create chaos. To empower himself, the Druid can offer gifts to the gods for advantages.
The classes are not gender-locked, but can be either male or female. You can also create your own hero or heroine in a detailed character editor, choosing how you want them to look.
How have you liked the classes of Diablo 4 so far? In the beta, you could only play them up to level 25, leading to an incomplete picture. Do you already know which class you will start with at launch? What did you like most about it?
Blizzard has made a great effort to signal diversity and inclusion with Diablo 4. Successfully, it seems: a female player is so overwhelmed by the character creation options that she is crying tears of joy live. Tens of thousands like it.
Who is the player? ActuallyArcane creates content for Blizzard games, especially World of Warcraft. On Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube, she mainly explains gameplay for the Arcane Mage in WoW. She also tests the new action RPG Diablo 4. While the community is currently tearing itself apart, she provided a glimmer of hope.
Druids are currently under criticism, partly due to their appearance. Many fans find the class simply not aesthetic because it has a bit too much meat on the bones.
For ActuallyArcane, this is exactly the point that brings her to tears: ‘She looks like me. She is just like me. Thank you.’ For the player, it is important that representation occurs, and Blizzard has achieved exactly that with the Druid:

This is how other users react: On TikTok, the video already has over 33,000 likes. On Twitter, the post has been viewed over 700,000 times. Many users react to the short clip, sharing in ActuallyArcane’s joy.
The player receives a lot of support. Representation is important, but the character she created also simply looks ‘badass’. Blizzard also receives praise:
It’s amazing what devs can do and add to their games to have such a positive impact on the lives of others. Bizarre that it is done so rarely. I had to hold back a tear; I’m happy for you.
Some accuse ActuallyArcane of just advertising for Diablo 4. However, she emphasizes that she is not paid by Blizzard.

Diablo 4 Beta: Performance and fun are on point, but important questions remain unanswered – The conclusion of the MeinMMO editorial team
The open beta went a bit bumpy. On the first day, there were several hours of queues and a huge influx, along with errors and problems with gameplay itself. However, most of the time afterward, everything ran smoothly, and many fans could finally get an impression of Diablo 4.
Basically, the game is well received, although there is indeed criticism – notably regarding the Druid, especially in terms of balancing. The classes are still far from where they should be. What changes until the release in June remains to be seen.
The strategy epic Civilization 6 (Steam) currently offers 50 different civilizations and 3 expansions. Countless DLCs have been released since 2016. New, exciting worlds can be created time and again. But MeinMMO author Schuhmann has none of that. He is obsessed with a save file.
My name is Schuhmann and I have a problem. It must have somehow sneaked in over the years. I can vaguely remember that I used to be able to play Civilization IV just like that, quite chaotically: Just log in, start a game on the huge world map and see what happens. Actually crazy.
I still remember, I played the Romans at some point and everything was still good back then. You settle down, build, explore, send scouts out into the world and are happy to find a resource near Rome: stones. And with those stones, you could build a special wonder: Stonehenge.
Once you’ve built it, a nice little cutscene plays and it feels good. This is how it all started, this is how they got me.
Somehow, I must have started back then a certain … well, I don’t want to call it compulsion, but I developed a liking. I’m into wonders.

The 5 Game Highlights 2023 that the MeinMMO editorial team is looking forward to
The urge developed: I build all 54 wonders in Civilization 6
When you build such a wonder, there’s a great feeling of having accomplished something. A little intro film plays, you receive special bonuses and have something that other civilizations do not have.
At some point, I don’t know how it happened, the urge developed: I want to build every single wonder in Civilization VI. And if others build a wonder before me, then the game is simply not good anymore and I have to start over until all wonders belong to me.
Civilization 6 somehow wants that too: There is a strategy to maximize the benefits of wonders by aligning the state religion so that every wonder provides further bonuses to get even more advantages.
I believe there’s even a name for it: “Wonder Rush” or something.

Whoever builds Stonehenge receives a great prophet and can establish their own religion.
The problem is: Civilization 6 is not designed to be played this way. In earlier games, it may have been possible, but in Civilization 6, it’s actually not feasible. Although the Chinese civilization is geared exactly towards this strategy because they can accelerate ancient and classical wonders with workers, too much must come together for the strategy to work.
Because if you want to build the 54 wonders in Civilization 6, you need a plan:
You can’t just build the pyramids somewhere in a beautiful lake in southern France – you need desert.
If you want to build Stonehenge, you need stones nearby.
And if you want to erect that damn Mahabodhi Temple, which I keep forgetting, you need a regular temple and a forest next to it. So you really have to take into account when planning your cities that you build your temple complex next to a forest – and there is actually a time pressure because otherwise, the computer opponents will build the wonder right in front of you, and then your entire plan is ruined.
China now has 5 different leaders you can play. The wonder strategy works with Qin Shi Huang. The historical figure lived around 2,300 years ago.
There are 54 wonders in Civ 6 – Who wants to build them all must plan early
Normally, you need to hit a jackpot in the strategy during the world roll and starting positions. You need many different cities:
A city with stones, in the desert, but with floodplains for The Great Bath, the Pyramids
A city in the desert, with mountains for a strange iron wonder
A city by a sea where you can place the harbor for the 3 associated wonders
A city with a forest, where you need to consider building the temple complex right next to the forest
and many other prerequisites.
Since you can’t possibly build wonders and send settlers at the same time, you need to conquer the additional cities next to your starting city. For this, you use the so-called “3 Slinger” strategy.
Typically, you start to play and the first city looks quite good: There are stones for Stonehenge and floodplains, but then you won’t find any desert for the pyramids, and that’s it.
Two years ago, I found the perfect start – I curse that day
My problem is that I actually stumbled upon and saved a perfect start two years ago after numerous attempts.
It was on July 22, 2021 – I curse that day. Back then, I obviously managed to get everything perfect: With the “3 Slingshot tactic,” dominating 3 opposing civilizations, they must have been French, Spanish, and some Incas. The names of their cities remain even thousands of years after their destruction. I then built the first wonders in my starting city, Paris, and Madrid, and saved – after 133 turns.
The perfect start.
All other attempts to start a new game fail because no start is as perfect as the one two years ago. Either there’s a lack of stone or desert or floodplains – something is always missing. I remember I completed that save file back then, dominating the entire world – built all the wonders. And it was good for a while, but then it fell into oblivion.
I didn’t play Civilization anymore – What was there left to achieve?
This save file has been sitting on my hard drive for two years.
But in the last few days, it hit me again, I felt like playing a strategy game, played this and that, and then Civilization came to mind again.
This time I wanted to play it completely differently: So many DLCs, so many possibilities, maybe try a different civilization, a whole different strategy. So I started playing chaotically, just going through the motions, and then came this message: “An unknown player has built Stonehenge” – and there it was again. The save file called me.
Then I spent countless hours and 3 attempts with my perfect start from 2021 again. Because even though it’s a perfect start, it must be played in a very specific way for all wonders to be in their intended places and built in the right order at the right time.
I know the cadence of the turns, how it continues after 133, by heart:
I must send workers to Paris to build Stonehenge there – while in Madrid, the Oracle is being built
It’s essential to wipe out barbarians – with the money from their camps, I can hire even more workers who will create even more wonders
Once Stonehenge stands, I will found my religion, Buddhism, and start spreading it
In the Inca city near a lake, first a camp is established, then a barrack, and finally the Statue of Zeus and the Terracotta Army
Stonehenge can only be built in Paris because stones are located there.
When I play that, I’m immediately back in, the processes have practically burned into my brain – but yesterday I noticed it again. You play for 2, 3 hours and then comes that hated sound: Another civilization has built a wonder that you overlooked. And it is of course that wonder for which you need to build a temple next to a forest. Who thinks of such things?
So: Back to turn 133 and plan again.
I know that I already completed the game perfectly, built all wonders at the right place and time. I can still remember the rough moves and know that I had already forgotten that damn temple back then. I know that the game is actually already won from turn 133 and it only becomes boring and tedious in the endgame – a problem that every single strategy game I love has.
But somehow I can only play Civilization 6 like this.
Maybe I just need to delete the save file before it ruins my life.
More about strategy games and how not to play them:
In the Open Beta of Diablo 4, the Druid is finally playable. Many fans have been looking forward to the class – including MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus. After initial disappointment with the class, he is now successfully shredding through bosses as a werewolf.
After several hours of farming for the right legendaries, I finally found a good melee build that can let 4 werewolves tear through enemies with their claws. A good compromise, in my opinion. By the way, you can find all our guides collected here:
With the werewolf druid, you can easily take down elite opponents and bosses, and the best part: he has nearly as good self-healing as the Necromancer and better than a Barbarian. Dying is almost impossible.
You can find information about all 5 classes from Diablo 4 here . I directly tested the build on the world boss Ashava:

Diablo 4: Gameplay of the Werewolf Druid against World Boss Ashava
Druid Build for Diablo 4 – Skill and Legendaries
Pro
Good against bosses and elite opponents
Enormous self-healing, doesn’t need potions
Super mobile, avoids many attacks
Ideal for group play, because strong buffs are distributed
Aesthetically extremely cool, 4 werewolves as a pack
Contra
Generally low damage, takes a long time for enemies
Somewhat sluggish against larger groups of enemies with more health points
Extremely dependent on the right legendaries
The most important skills (at level 25)
Claw 1/5
Improved Claw
Tearing 1/5
Improved Tearing
Primal Tearing
Predatory Instinct 2/3
Blood Howl 3/5
Improved Blood Howl
Conserving Blood Howl
Wolves 5/5
Improved Wolf Pack
Brutal Wolf Pack
Call of the Wild 3/3
Rabies 1/5
Shred 1/1
If you have points left or gain additional levels through items, you should upgrade Shred until you can secure a guaranteed critical hit. Otherwise, you can further upgrade Rabies, Predatory Instinct, and Tearing, as these deal the most damage.
Fast Aspect (optional): Basic skills gain attack speed
Most aspects are essential for the build to function at all. Unfortunately, you get hardly any of them from dungeons; most must be farmed by yourself. You can find the best farm spots in Diablo 4 here.
This is how you play the build: You barely deal any damage yourself, but simply buff your companions. Your wolves benefit from all the skills and legendaries you have. You still need to attack yourself, as your critical hits are what truly empower the wolves:
Poison enemies with Rabies so that wolves deal more damage
Send your wolves on an enemy with the active skill of Wolves
Use Blood Howl to buff your wolves
Use Shred on cooldown, ideally with guaranteed critical hits
Attack enemies with Claw to build spirit
Use Tearing for additional critical hits, to build spirit or to charge at distant enemies
Tearing, Shred, and Blood Howl also heal you when used, allowing you to remain at full health almost continuously. Resource generation is not an issue in this build, as you frequently attack with Claw and have only one consumer.
You want to critically hit as often as possible, even if you deal minimal damage yourself. Through Brutal Wolf Pack, your wolves gain attack speed when you critically hit. The wolves are your primary source of damage.
With the charge from Tearing or a use of Shred, you can easily avoid enemy attacks. Unlike cowardly Necromancers commanding their skeletons from behind, you are a real alpha leading your pack.

In Destiny 2 there is a bracelet in the new raid “Root of Nightmares” that reminded players strongly of a vagina. The community affectionately named the item “Bondussy”. After Bungie was pointed out by fans what was dangling in their game in terms of Warlock sleeves, they changed the bracelet silently in a hotfix. But even that is not right for some people.
How did the item come about? Paul Tassi from Forbes explains that in the design of the new raid armor from “Roots of Nightmares” in the Lightfall expansion, two things come together:
the power of the Traveler that allows organic things to grow
the rigid pyramid structure
This has led to weapons that seem to have something alive growing on them, and to a “very wild raid armor”.

What did the item look like? The raid bracelet, “Bond of Detestation”, for Warlocks looked as if Guardians were wearing a vagina on their arm.
The community named the item “Bondussy” – a mix of “Bond” for bracelet and “Pussy”, a nickname for vagina.
On Twitter, some people said: Bungie? What is going on? Or they proudly announced: Just looted the Warlock pocket Bondussy.

What is the reaction? On Twitter it didn’t take long for a thread to pop up: “Official petition to un-nerf the Bondussy.” Currently, the action has 3,150 likes.
There is apparently no statement from Bungie yet. What more can they say about it?
Has this happened before? Bungie has indeed changed some items due to their appearance. However, it was usually about items that had “accidentally” some problematic symbolism that reminded of extremist circles.
The world of Tamriel has become one of the most popular and well-known gaming worlds on PC and consoles PlayStation and Xbox over the years with role-playing games like Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind. A son honors his deceased mother in the “The Elder Scrolls” series with a very special change, for which he sought advice from the modding community.
How does the person honor their mother? A player named “VIIVII” honors his mother in 3 Elder Scrolls games with a mod:
For Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind, the mod “In Memory of my Mom” can be downloaded: In each of the iconic role-playing games, a shrine appears that gives the player buffs to health, magicka, stamina, or values.

Son tries to cope with his mother’s death
What is the story behind it? The player, named Eric and living in the USA, says:
My mother Teneele passed away in January. She was only 46 years old, and since then I have been trying to cope with her loss.
As a way to cope with his mother’s early death, he saw it as a way to immortalize her in her favorite games. But since he had no idea about mods, he turned to the community and quickly found help to modify shrines in the 3 Elder Scrolls games.
The player says his mother introduced him to the world of Elder Scrolls and familiarized him with it. Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind were her favorite games.
In his attempt to honor her, nothing great came of it, just a modified Mara shrine in Skyrim with an inscription that simply says: “She can live in every adventure I undertake in Tamriel.”
In Morrowind, it became a shrine of the “Imperial Cult” with a note, in Oblivion a “Priory Altar of the Nine,” and again a note that the mother is present in every adventure.
Where are the shrines located? VIIVII says he had something in mind. His mother suffered throughout her life from “resetitis”; she always started games over. Therefore, the shrines are placed at the beginning of each game.
VIIVII says:
The funniest thing about making the mods for my mother is that she never played with mods herself, and now her memory will be a mod.
VIIVII concludes his description of the mods: “Anyway, that’s all. If you want to add screenshots, feel free. The most important thing I can tell you is: Call your parents and tell them how much you love them. You never know how much time you have left.”
The mod has now been downloaded about 200 times across all 3 games. It’s somehow a nice thought that the mother also lives on in the games of others.

Grow vegetables that you defend at night
What kind of game is it? Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire is a humorous co-op farming game with roguelike elements.
Voltaire is the son of Dracula, who decides that he does not want to drink blood. You play the rebellious young vampire who wants to eat vegan and runs away from Dracula to live on a farm.
There you will then grow plants during the day to feed yourself. After all, you don’t want to drink blood. You can expand Voltaire’s own farm and conquer different biomes that the vampire uses to his advantage.
At night, Dracula then unleashes his army upon you, and you must defend your farm. For the battle, you learn skills that you continuously improve to become stronger.

WoW demon Cortyn is convinced that Blizzard is working on something big. Not less than a complete overhaul of Azeroth is being prepared.
Even though Dragonflight is only a few months old, many fans are already imagining what the next expansion of World of Warcraft might look like. But while some are already picturing the story of the war for Light and Void or the return of the Naga Queen, there are a lot of hints in the game that Blizzard is “secretly” working on another project – a new overhaul of the game world or even a “Cataclysm 2.0”.
But let me explain how some in the WoW community come to this conclusion.
A complete, new overhaul of the old game world would consume a lot of time and resources. If Blizzard were to approach this as a single project, it could bind all developers for a year or longer.
Therefore, Blizzard seems to have chosen a different path and is renewing the old world piece by piece while simultaneously creating new content.
The first clue is the type of races that received a new, modern design with Dragonflight. Gnolls, centaurs, and furbolgs all play a larger role in Dragonflight. They have all been revamped, receiving new models, sound effects, and sometimes even animations.
Furbolgs received new models – which also fit well into the old world.
The positive side effect here is that these models can be easily inserted into the old world during a large overhaul, without additional work. In some cases, this has already happened.
Of course, this could be a coincidence up to this point. Perhaps it just so happens that a large part of the inhabitants of the Dragon Isles consist of the – model-wise – oldest races that exist on Azeroth.
There are new houses that have not been used so far
However, this does not explain why there are already new designs for human houses and taverns. That’s right. For quite a while now, there have been high-resolution models of human houses, similar to those found in the old variant in Elwynn Forest. So far, they have not been used anywhere in the game, leading to much speculation about why they even exist.
HD variants of human houses already exist in the game data – but not in the game world.
One of the most common theories is that revising the human houses was a “test balloon” to find out how much work it would take to bring the old assets up to the standard of modern World of Warcraft. Based on this, Blizzard could then roughly calculate how much work and time it would take to update all the old assets.
This line of evidence also includes the fact that Blizzard has begun to give the city guards of the major capital cities a new design. The ancient Silvermoon received new city guards, and in the data for Patch 10.1, the Ironforge guards also received new high-resolution armor. Why would they modernize this if not for the story to take place again in the old “new” world?
The guards of Ironforge will soon shine in a new glory – but why? Image source: wowhead
That they have not used the houses in Elwynn so far seems logical. Because the high-resolution houses would look quite out of place next to the very pixelated textures of the road, trees, and fences, and would rather diminish than enhance immersion. When they are used, the entire “surroundings” must also be brought up to a more modern standard.
One last clue is the statements of the developers from the past months. They have acknowledged that they have a large game world with numerous dungeons and areas that have no relevance in the endgame. Even in an interview about the trading post, it was revealed that the long-term goal is to make “all of Azeroth more vibrant” – and that the trading post is one of these efforts.
The trading post should make WoW livelier – but it is only the first step of many.
In another interview with Bellular on YouTube, Hazzikostas indirectly confirmed that dragon riding will likely become an “evergreen” feature and will probably be carried over into new expansions. And what would be better suited for a feature that requires a lot of space than the large continents that already exist?
Finally, Blizzard is now able to avoid the “problems” of the first Cataclysm. A major criticism was that many of the old contents were lost forever. It was simply no longer possible to see the world in its original state, and numerous quests were lost for all time.
But now there are significantly more possibilities. Through timewalking and different phases, it is possible to preserve the old design as well. It could be possible to switch between the “old world” and the modern one using the bronze dragons when wanting to achieve something in the old content.
Clearly, Blizzard will not comment on such plans in the coming months. But if we continue to find an overhaul of old assets used in many places in Azeroth in the game data in upcoming patches, then surely everyone can draw their own conclusions.
Perhaps the “big overhaul” will not be the next expansion – but it would have to be with Sargeras, if this is not already in the planning stages. Because the hints are all there.
Or how do you see the whole thing?
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
The upcoming extraction shooter Hyenas is currently inviting you to an alpha test. We’ll show you how to participate.
What kind of game is this? The crazy extraction shooter is called “Hyenas” and is produced by the developer studio Creative Assembly, and is set to be released on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
The gameplay of Hyenas is reminiscent of Escape from Tarkov and other EFT-likes – you start a match, loot stuff, fight against other players and AI opponents, and then try to escape the map with your loot.
In addition to the extraction mechanics and the PvEvP fights, Hyenas features a colorful graphic style and twisted humor. Moreover, gameplay includes hero mechanics like in Overwatch and battles in zero gravity.
What is Hyenas about? In Hyenas, the wealthy live on Mars while the rest of humanity orbits, because Earth no longer exists. The Hyenas themselves are a group of thieves, including the players, who are after the treasures of the rich Mars residents.
The target of your heists are special artifacts from pop culture. In the announcement trailer, we can see, for example, a Sonic figure and a Rubik’s Cube.

In the Open Beta of Diablo 4, the Necromancer is finally playable. Many fans have been waiting for this class. Even the well-known MMORPG nerd Asmongold has taken a look at the Necromancer and is confident: the class is absolutely broken.
Who is the streamer?
Asmongold is the largest MMORPG streamer on Twitch. His opinion holds weight with many fans.
This is what Asmongold says: In a compilation on YouTube, the streamer shows how powerful the Necromancer is. He not only kills elite enemies with one shot, but is even faster against the first boss than with any other class.
Asmongold relies on skeletons, bone spears, and corpse explosions. He practically mows through the enemies and says: ‘This is disgusting […] it’s like I have 5 Barbs with me.’
Already at level 5, he encounters the toughest boss in the game, at least during the Open Beta. While the Butcher wipes out other players, Asmongold takes home an easy victory here.
He ends his summary with a satisfied smile and the comment that he doesn’t even look at it. He just clicks and everything dies.

Is the Necromancer really that strong? The consensus among many players right now is that the Necromancer is extremely strong. While the other new class, the Druid, seems too weak to many, the Necromancer is currently climbing to the top.
“The Necromancer is hellishly overpowered. I completed a fortress for level 25 already at level 17 by myself and mastered it, where I failed with other classes at level 2. He is so OP that it almost detracts from the fun of the game.”
However, Maurice also notes that Necromancers are often extremely strong at the beginning, but quickly fall back as stronger bosses simply sweep away their minions. Without skeletons, Necromancers are out of luck.
For streamers, however, the class is ideal. You don’t have to pay attention, you can chat with the audience, and the companions take care of the rest.

Diablo 4 Beta: Performance and fun are on point, but important questions remain unanswered – The conclusion of the MeinMMO editorial team
Will it stay this way? It’s hard to estimate. Blizzard uses the beta mainly for performance tests, but also aims to consider balancing. However, it has already been said before that the whole game must be taken into account.
Since it is currently still unknown what exactly awaits us in the endgame and how strong Necromancers are there, it cannot be said what will still change. As long as the Necromancer is OP, we have a nice build for you here:
There is a lot happening in the horror game Dead by Daylight. Big changes are coming that will significantly shake things up.
The criticism of the current chapter “Tools of Torment” in Dead by Daylight continues unabated. The community still criticizes the “Skull Merchant” – but there is also good news. Because Dead by Daylight seems ready to shake up the game once more and implement numerous changes. Taken together, all these adjustments are probably the biggest changes the horror game has experienced since the introduction of “Endgame Collapse” in 2019.
Dead by Daylight removes “Light Sensitivity”
When Dead by Daylight was still in its infancy, the developers included certain interactions between killers and various survivor items. For example, a toolbox could destroy the traps of the Trapper. These interactions are now disappearing, which particularly weakens the flashlight. This means:
The Spirit can no longer be exposed or stunned by the flashlight while in stealth.
The Nurse can no longer be stunned with the flashlight while charging her teleportation.
The Artist’s crows can no longer be scared away with the flashlight.
The Witch’s traps can no longer be revealed or disarmed by the flashlight. Instead, survivors now have an interaction for this, requiring them to crouch and step on the trap to then cleanse it.

It’s actually just a small adjustment for accessibility, so that players with hearing impairments can enjoy Dead by Daylight, but it is likely to become a standard setting for all survivors soon:
The Terror Radius and “Lullabies” (Nightmare, Huntress, etc.) will no longer be announced only by music but will also be represented by a red heart symbol on the survivors. The stronger the Terror Radius, the more intensely the heart pulses, and the more radiant the colors are.
For the new Terror Radius effect, there are also settings for color blindness.
Even though the developers say that this setting doesn’t provide a competitive advantage, some doubt that. After all, there are always loud noises, like screams or other effects, that can drown out the sound of the Terror Radius. This will no longer be the case in the future.
The most powerful perks will be nerfed, as will healing
There are some major adjustments to the most popular perks on both the killer’s and survivor’s sides, as well as to the general healing of survivors. The necessary duration for healing is being increased from 16 to 24 seconds – and all med-kits will now only have enough charges for exactly one complete healing “by default.” If you want more, you’ll need to use the appropriate addons or perks.
The healing circle is drastically weakened. The perk no longer allows survivors to heal themselves without a med-kit. Instead, it only increases the healing speed at which they heal other survivors and shows the aura of all injured survivors within the influence area of the healing circle.
The infamous “Dead Hard” is also being weakened. The perk now only activates after safely rescuing another survivor from the hook and becomes inactive as soon as damage has been avoided once – then you have to earn the ability again.
The killer perk “Call of Brine” is also being weakened. It will now only increase the rate at which generators regress to 125% – down from the previous 200%.
A similar adjustment is also happening to “Overcharge.” Here too, the maximum regression speed will be reduced to 130% and the penalty for missing the skill check will be decreased from 5% to 4%.
Long-time players know the problem: You have 2 million blood points and can barely keep up with spending them all. After all, every single reward in the Bloodweb needs to be unlocked manually. That will soon be a thing of the past. A total of 3 new options are coming:
You can click on any reward in the Bloodweb and automatically purchase all rewards on the way to it.
You can click on the center of the Bloodweb. The game will then automatically buy the cheapest available rewards to level up quickly.
You can enable “Click to Buy” in the options – then a reward will be purchased directly with a click and does not need to be “filled with blood points” first.
With these changes, it should overall happen much faster that you spend your blood points and thus have space for new point gains.
How does the community react? Generally positive, at least in the subreddit of the game. Although some miss their favorite meta perks, there seems to be understanding on both sides that the perks were rather unhealthy for the game and needed to be reworked.
There is astonishingly much praise for the “visible Terror Radius.” Apparently, there are many players in the community with hearing impairments who look forward to enjoying Dead by Daylight in the future.
How do you like these adjustments and changes?

The dungeon crawler Dark and Darker was a real surprise hit on Steam with its first playtests. Now the game is no longer availableand continues to face serious allegations.
What is Dark and Darker?
Dark and Darker is a dungeon crawler with a PvP focus, developed by the indie studio Ironmace. The title is set to be released on Steam and has already offered several playtests on the platform that excited thousands of players.
The gameplay of Dark and Darker resembles extraction shooters like Escape from Tarkov – but without shooting. Within a match, you fight in teams of three for loot. If you die in an ongoing round, you lose your loot.
Dark and Darker features a medieval fantasy setting. In addition to magic and sorcery, you can use swords and shields as well as ranged weapons such as a crossbow.
If you want a clearer idea of Dark and Darker, we are embedding the gameplay teaser here:

Dark and Darker: Gameplay Teaser
Why is Dark and Darker no longer available on Steam? On March 25, the developers announced on the game’s Discord server that they are fighting a cease and desist letter and a DMCA takedown notice.
To all our fans: We recently received a cease and desist letter and a DMCA takedown notice from Nexon regarding Dark and Darker, which is based on distorted claims. We are currently working with our legal team to resolve this matter as best as possible.
Due to the sensitive legal nature of this matter, we need to be cautious with our statements to avoid jeopardizing our position. We ask for your understanding as we work to make the game available again as soon as possible. Please be assured that we will do everything possible for our fans. Thank you!
Some Reddit users also noticed that the game is no longer found on Steam (via Reddit). On the official Dark and Darker website, which previously had a Steam link, it now shows that the content could not be found.
Serious allegations against Ironmace and Dark and Darker
What are the plagiarism allegations about? As Ironmace confirmed on their Discord server, the allegations come from the South Korean developer studio and publisher Nexon.
According to a South Korean magazine, the founder of Ironmace previously worked at Nexon, where a project was presented in 2021 that is quite similar to what Dark and Darker is (via n.news.naver.com).
Even though the project at Nexon was canceled, the publisher accuses Ironmace of stealing the idea and using parts of the code and assets that belong to Nexon. In early March, there was even a police search of Ironmace’s office.
Impact on the next playtest Dark and Darker had actually announced another playtest for April 2023, but how the current issues surrounding the game will affect this test is not yet known. However, it is to be expected that the test may be postponed indefinitely.
All information regarding the announced playtest in April can be found on MeinMMO:
Since March 24, the beta of Diablo 4 is now accessible to everyone. We want to know what your impressions of the game are and what you think of it so far.
Here you can vote: Let us know your opinion about the Diablo 4 beta. Each of you can cast exactly one vote and the vote cannot be undone.
This is what the beta offers: Fans of Diablo can play the entire prologue and the first act in the beta. The maximum level you can reach is 25. After completing the main story, you can focus on side quests and assignments, but you cannot level up further.
The open beta for everyone offers all 5 classes to choose from. So you have the choice of:
Necromancer
Sorceress
Druid
Ranger
Barbarian
In comparison, pre-order players could only try out the Sorceress, Ranger, and Barbarian last week.
You will also be able to fight a world boss, designed for larger groups of players. Therefore, it is a good idea to team up with your friends. You can be in a group of up to 4 players.
But beware: The world boss won’t just stand around and wait for you. It has specific spawn times and anyone who wants to catch it must be playing Diablo 4 either in the morning or in the evening.
Your progress will be saved between weekends. This means that pre-order players who could play last week will be able to continue using their characters and items this weekend.
However, there will be a wipe before the game’s release, so everyone starts with the same conditions. Pre-order players will get access a few days earlier.
But first tell us what you think of the beta. Were you able to start immediately or did you have to wait in a queue first? Which class did you try out first? How did you like it? What do you think of the controversial “Shared World” of Diablo 4?
The second content update of Sons of the Forest is here and brought among other things a new cave, a new final boss, and a rain collector.
The survival game Sons of the Forest has been available on Steam for about a month now. As it is an early access title, the developers from Endnight Games are continuing to work on new content.
What did the update bring? The update has a number of new contents, but three innovations stand out as highlights. The survival title received a new final boss who awaits you in the final cave system and is supposed to make your life more difficult as well as a new cave.
Additionally, the update brought a rain collector that players can build from a turtle shell. You are consequently no longer dependent on having a river or lake next to your camp, although this certainly simplifies water procurement.
We summarize the highlights of the update for you again here:
a new cave
in this cave you now find the gold armor
a new final boss
a rain collector
briefcases with loot now remain empty in single player after you have looted them
the torch is now brighter in the first person perspective
Items held in the left hand can now be used while gliding
This means you can now also use the GPS while gliding
An admin system for multiplayer, allowing the host to make adjustments to the session
Rabbits and squirrels now try harder to escape players and run faster than before
You can now find dead cultists on the map
Sons of the Forest also received some fixes. For example, a problem was fixed where players in multiplayer had different seasons. Likewise, enemies can no longer spawn in your camp.

5 Tips for a Good Start in Sons of the Forest
“I love all the changes”
What do players say about the update? Of course, there are some players who continue to call for performance optimization or have specific content wishes for the future. Nevertheless, many players on Steam were pleasantly surprised by the update and are happy about the new content and some very sensible changes.
ragner: “Great job, guys, awesome update. I’m definitely excited about a new cave system. I hope to see a few more in the future!”
alanOn: “I’m impressed. This is definitely more than I expected to see. Keep up the good work.”
Jaybberwocky: “I love all the changes – nice to see that you’re working hard! This is the kind of development cycle that should follow an early access release. Keep it up!”
On the second beta weekend of Diablo 4, the Necromancer is in the game. Here you will find a powerful build that basically just needs one button to turn everything around you into bloody remains.
After my colleague Benedict Grothaus and I leveled all classes together last week, the Druid and Necromancer are up for the second beta weekend. With our gathered experiences, we will find or create strong builds for the beta:
For me, the Necromancer is on the agenda now, which I also want to play at release. And so far, the choice seems to be a good one – the Harbinger is super strong in the beta.
In addition, I have found a powerful “Blood Mist” build from the YouTuber “Mattjestic MultiGaming”, which reduces Diablo 4 to practically one button. However, this one button boils your blood and that of the enemies against a nearby wall.
If you want to see gameplay from the build, you can find the English video from Mattjestic MultiGaming here (Minute 10:12):

The build only unfolds when you have found the right Legendary Aspect. This aspect modifies the “Blood Mist” skill and allows you to raise corpses.
You then use “Blood Mist” and simultaneously cast “Corpse Explosion” – that’s why there are 5 skill points in here, but you don’t need the skill in your skill bar.
At the beta difficulty, the build works even without “Blood Mist” when you use “Corpse Explosion”.
Required Legendary Aspect:
Aspect for the skill “Blood Mist”
Blood Mist causes corpses to explode, and for each exploded corpse, the cooldown of Blood Mist is reduced
Strong Legendary Aspect:
Aspect for the skill “Bone Spear”
Bone Spear hits injure enemies, Bone Spear shrapnel causes extra damage to injured enemies
Enhance the build with additional Legendary Aspects that create more corpses, extend your “Crowd Control” effects, increase your overall damage, and improve the skills “Corpse Explosion” or “Bone Spear”. Here are the best farm spots for Legendaries in the beta.
During the beta, the drop rates for Legendaries are significantly increased.
It’s all about the interplay of corpses and the skill “Blood Mist”.
Your servants rush at enemy groups and you activate “Blood Mist”. While the skill is active, you are invulnerable and receive healing. Additionally, you create more corpses out of thin air.
Through the Legendary “Blood Mist” effect, all corpses that you move over in “Blood Mist” form explode, triggering the effect of “Corpse Explosion”, even though you do not even have the skill in your skill bar.
Each corpse explosion further reduces the cooldown of “Blood Mist”. You can therefore often activate the skill again instantly. You deal massive (area) damage, are constantly invulnerable, and healing is also provided.
If you encounter tough enemies or fight against bosses, fire a few “Bone Spears” in between. They inflict injuries on enemies that take 20% more damage. There are also strong Legendary Aspects for “Bone Spear”, making the skill a strong complement to “Blood Mist”.
Fortnite adds new weapons to the loot pool with each season release to shake up the meta. This time, however, Epic Games has developed a weapon that overshadows all previous ones.
Why is the weapon so strong? This weapon is a mythical version of the pulse rifle. However, do not expect the same functionality as in Chapter 2, as the rifle has significantly improved.
So if you shoot from the hip now, the overclocked firing mode is activated and pierces your opponent twice as fast with laser beams compared to when you would aim. Reddit user ChancetheUnrapper demonstrates it for you:

ChancetheUnrapper didn’t strain himself and could easily take down his last opponent.
What is astonishing is that the bullets hit their target 95% of the time when shooting from the hip. The spread of the bullets is so minimal that it suffices to aim at your opponent with your crosshair. Within this small radius, your bullets will then be fired.
When you use the weapon in combat, it feels like using an aimbot because the bullets find their target very precisely even without effort.
Where can you get the weapon? Since the weapon is powerful, it cannot be found easily. You need to visit the floating island that randomly appears on the map. It looks like a part of the hats from Loot Lake. So travel to the floating island and conquer that zone. Note that the spawn location is always random.
Once you have taken the zone, some specimens will spawn. Be careful when visiting the island as it is often sought out by players to get the weapon for themselves.

The paladin in World of Warcraft is being nerfed into the ground. For three days, he was unbeatable in PvP – now Blizzard is pulling the emergency brake.
What happened to paladins? The Patch 10.0.7 brought a small rework of the retribution paladins. They received new abilities and talents and were supposed to feel more rounded overall, especially in PvE. A small “side effect” was that paladins were completely overpowered in PvP. Massive self-healing and much more damage ensured that retribution paladins could take out their enemies in arenas and battlegrounds within 3 seconds.
The outcry in the community was huge. Normally, Blizzard makes adjustments only by the next Wednesday – but in the case of the paladin, they are making an exception and have already rolled out the nerfs last night. This was a reaction to the “overwhelming feedback”.
What was changed about the paladin? The short version is probably “a whole lot.” The nerfs mainly affect abilities that directly impact the damage of the retribution paladin. However, a few healing effects were also weakened. The entire list of nerfs is:
Paladin (general)
The healing of Crusader’s Reckoning is reduced by 50% in PvP.
Protection
Judgment of Light heals 35% less in PvP battles.
Retribution
Judgment of Light heals 35% less in PvP battles.
Wrath of the Inquisitor is 40% weaker in PvP.
Fading Light is 75% weaker for retribution paladins in PvP.
Vengeance of the Justicar now deals 15% additional damage to stunned targets in PvP.
Vengeance of the Justicar heals 50% less in PvP.
Blessing of Twilight is 25% less effective in PvP.
Divine Judge deals 25% less direct damage in PvP.
Vanguard of Justice is 25% less effective in PvP.
Celestial Legacy increases the damage of Divine Storm by 15% in PvP (previously 25%).
Luminescence (PvP talent) now increases damage and healing by 2% (previously 4%).
Avenger (PvP talent) now deals 2% of total HP as damage (previously 4%).
A bug was fixed that caused the reduction of the effectiveness of Wrathful Retribution to 75% in PvP for retribution paladins not to count.
Community is excited about the quick reaction: Although many players are wondering how the paladin could be released into PvP so “broken,” the reaction to these nerfs has been overwhelmingly positive from everyone (except paladins). People praise that Blizzard acts very quickly and precisely in PvP balancing in Dragonflight and regularly adjusts particularly strong classes.
Did you enjoy the three days of terror reign of the paladins in PvP? Or did that pass you by?

In the Open Beta of Diablo 4, many players have the problem that they have no sound or certain things cannot be heard – especially with voice outputs in German. MeinMMO shows you the solutions.
What is the problem? Since the launch of the Open Beta of Diablo 4 on March 24, there have been reports of missing sound. Those who play cannot hear their own character nor anyone else speaking, neither in-game nor in cutscenes.
The problem likely arises because the localization is not yet complete. Texts are translated, but voices are still missing in all languages except English.
How to get sound back: There are several proposed solutions, of which we can at least confirm one:
Change your sound to stereo if it is set to surround.
Play in full screen mode and do not alt-tab out of the game, that can lead to problems.
Change the voice output to English – that helped us.
If this option is not available, you will need to switch the entire game to English first (requires a restart).
In the Battle.net launcher, click the gear icon next to “Play” for Diablo IV, then on game settings. Under Diablo IV Beta, set “Text & Voice Output” to English.
It is also sufficient to have set the option to English once in the launcher or to download the language directly during installation. In the options within the game itself, you can at least set the text back to German as long as you are in the main menu. The voice output remains English, but at least characters will speak again.
Blizzard showcased the first German voices of Prava and Lilith just before the Open Beta, but they are apparently not yet in the game:

Errors and Issues in the Open Beta of Diablo 4
In addition to sound issues, some players are struggling with disconnects and connection problems. We have already gathered known error codes with solutions. Blizzard is also already working on resolving the biggest issues.
Already in the first beta, players reported that Diablo 4 supposedly destroys graphics cards. At least the problem with overloaded GPU memory still exists. In this case, you should set the graphic settings to “Medium” or lower.
Blizzard already warned before the beta launch that the influx of players on the servers would be enormous and there would be queues. At the moment, it seems that this has largely subsided, and work is also being done on further problems.
All weekend, we are reporting live on the Open Beta:
I also played the Druid and think similarly. A build will be found here soon on MeinMMO. We have captured our impression of the first beta in the video:

Diablo 4 Beta: Performance and fun are on point, but important questions remain unanswered – The conclusion of the MeinMMO editorial team
“I am disappointed with the appearance of the Druid”
On Reddit, the current most discussed topic, with over 1,200 comments, is the appearance of the Druids. They are portrayed in Diablo 4 as overweight in all body shapes. The criticism is: “Female Druids always look like they want to speak to the manager.”
Even players who are not slim themselves do not find this good. They say they do not need this representation, and it does not fit Diablo. A sturdy warrior who is not just made of muscles, yes. But these bodies are simply not aesthetic:
I do not want to offend anyone; I just find it not aesthetic because I do not like large or bear-like characters. That’s why I have never played a Barbarian because they looked weirdly huge and like a wardrobe in Diablo 3 and before. But the female Barbarian in Diablo 4 is more athletic and muscular than stocky, which is why this is the first time I will try the class.
I wish we had 2-3 options like in Star Wars: The Old Republic, where you could choose slim, medium, muscular/fat, and huge for both genders. That offers a range to play with.
At least a few players seem to be happy about the appearance of the Druid. One user says his character looks like Robert Baratheon from Game of Thrones, and he thinks that’s great.
Will Druids stay like this? At least regarding balance, Blizzard has already stated that the beta serves to some degree for the evaluation of classes. However, how much will change is still unclear.
Since the endgame cannot be tested at the moment, there is a lack of data to support this. That Blizzard will change something about the appearance is rather unlikely. The appearance seems precisely intentional.
If you want to test the Druid yourself, here are the best farm spots to equip yourself with Legendaries:

In the Open Beta of Diablo 4, the Druid is playable for everyone for the first time. The class has not been seen in the series since Diablo 2, and many had hope for the nature warrior. However, in the first test, the shapeshifters do not convince.
Why is the topic so big? In the current Open Beta of Diablo 4, Druids are playable for everyone for the first time. The class was very popular in the past, but had not been represented in the Diablo series for a long time.
Last time, you could play them 23 years ago, excluding the remaster of Diablo 2. Neither Diablo 3 nor Diablo Immortal had the Druid as a class, even though it used to be one of the most popular and strongest.
Druids are the only shapeshifters in Diablo; they can take on a bear and wolf form and cast nature magic. As an archetype, they are unique in the series.
This is the problem with the Druids: Now, after the first tests, many players are expressing disappointment. Above all, the performance of the Druid is criticized. It is said that no build is really strong. No matter how you play Druids, they lag behind all other classes.
Already, Barbarians were significantly weaker in the first test compared to Sorcerers and Hunters but received a buff. Druids are even weaker, especially having problems against bosses and taking too much from enemies. However, the gameplay is not the only issue.

I also played the Druid and think similarly. A build will be found here soon on MeinMMO. We have captured our impression of the first beta in the video:
