What happens on April 1st in Pokémon GO? In recent years, the developers have played their “pranks” on the players. Dataminers are now showing what is planned for this year’s event.
What kind of event is this? Traditionally, a small event takes place in Pokémon GO around April 1st. On this date, pranks are played worldwide, and Niantic also participates in Pokémon GO, not taking itself too seriously on this day.
Although there is no official statement from the developers regarding the content of the event yet, dataminers have found out which Pokémon you might expect. Keep in mind that the content of the event is being spoiled here, which could take away some of the fun.
Event for April 1st in Pokémon GO – What happens?
What has been found: The PokeMiners are considered reliable “leakers” in the Pokémon GO community. They regularly examine the game’s code for changes and have previously been able to predict many contents that were later officially revealed.
On March 29th, the PokeMiners released the texts found for the April Fools’ event (via Twitter.com). The Pokémon that will be the focus of the event is Taubsi.
A special Taubsi research in 2 chapters
New Taubsi quest
Higher chances of certain XXL and XXS sizes in Pokémon
Time-limited research
The research with the two chapters hasn’t been described in detail in the findings yet. The new quest involves sending a certain number of Taubsi. Since you will probably find them more often during the event, that should not be a problem.
Professor Willow explains regarding the research that trainers have been sending him Taubsi for research purposes for years. But now all of them have escaped, and it is up to you to help the professor recapture the wild birds.
How do you like the plan for this year’s event? Share your opinion with us here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other players on the topic. Niantic may also share more details before the event starts. Alternatively, the additional bonuses may remain a surprise and suddenly be active on April 1st without announcement.
Since the announcement of Diablo 4, it is clear that the game will receive more MMO elements than the other main installments in the series. Especially fans of the first two parts fear for “their” gaming experience. MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus sees it quite differently: MMO elements only make Diablo better.
Diablo 4 will be an MMO, even if Blizzard claims otherwise. It has too many elements reminiscent of MMORPGs like Lost Ark and features that clearly target MMOs.
Everywhere in the cities, players can be seen, in the open world, you meet other heroes, and the gigantic world bosses must even be defeated with strangers. Unless, your name is Wudijo and you just deal damage for 12.
Since all this became known and was increasingly evident in the beta, there has been a multitude of discussions about whether such MMO elements are good or bad. There are critics who vehemently oppose a multiplayer Diablo.
I can certainly understand if, as a Diablo fan, you just want a new version of the old games. But then Diablo 4 is simply not the ARPG that these fans are looking for. Blizzard needs these features in the game.
In Diablo 4 you can play with players from all over the world – All information about multiplayer
“The MMO garbage kills it for me”
The criticism has become less frequent since the open beta, but it is still there and is partly much more intense than before. A user on Reddit states that even technical problems and waiting times are negligible, the MMO elements are the disruptive factor.
If “Fannybaws69” or “dildoswaggins” run across the screen and are doing the same quest or standing by the chest with the user, that would be annoying. It doesn’t fit Diablo. Such threads often appear.
GameStar colleague Fabiano Uslenghi also says, that Diablo 4 does not need a shared world. Many GameStar readers agree with Fabiano, without MMO elements, Diablo 4 would be better.
I have to admit that certain elements also bother me, or would bother me. Stupid player names do not fit into the world and the absurd titles from Diablo 4 are not ideal. But honestly: even when you meet people, they quickly disappear from the screen again or their names are covered by hordes of enemies.
The bigger problem with Diablo 4 after the beta is the big unknown: What is the endgame? You can find the MeinMMO editorial team’s assessment here:

Diablo 4 Beta: Performance and fun are on point, but important questions remain unanswered – The conclusion of the MeinMMO editorial team
MMO features lead to more Diablo feeling
The endgame of Diablo 4 will mostly take place in dungeons. Events in the open world and the world bosses will probably be important sources for legendaries, but at the current state, dungeons are the farming spot.
Here, you are either alone or with a group anyway. And this is exactly the point where Diablo becomes better as an MMO. Even in the beta, some classes seemed weaker. But that is only because they can fulfill different roles.
Particularly druids have the ability in Diablo 4 to become a supporter, tank, or a sort of healer. There was already a kind of role distribution earlier, but never so prevalent. Even without a group, everyone in Diablo 4 has the opportunity to play as they want and finds teammates in the city for the toughest content. Without MMO features, this would not be possible.
That is the most important point for me. I love to play classes outside their “max DPS” builds, to try crazy things. When there are no friends online, I can randomly grab strangers and try out the build.
MMO elements are good when used correctly
Of course, everything must be enjoyed in moderation, including MMO features. Even characters must somehow fit into the world, which is why I welcome that Blizzard does not let us have totally stupid characters. Immersion is also important for an MMO, and the freedom of individual clowns cannot be considered in this context.
For me, the shared world is still necessary for Diablo 4 to even survive. It provides a lively community that interacts with each other and plays long-term. Friendships keep you in the game. Our editor-in-chief Leya Jankwoski, GameStar podcast head Michael Graf, and Diablo expert Jessirocks have also discussed this in a talk on YouTube (from minute 32).
Pure single-player games certainly still have a future, but will never be as big as MMOs. And Blizzard urgently needs a win at the moment.
Solo fans have now had to endure the second blow in a row with Diablo Immortal and Diablo 4. But Diablo 4 must become a success if you want to have good games in the future:

Veiled Experts final Beta Gameplay Trailer
Veiled Experts aims to shake up the tactical shooter genre
The developers let us play for a few hours back in February 2023. We were presented with a solid game featuring many familiar mechanics mixed in a refreshingly new way: Here you can find our preview report.
You have low precision when firing while moving, and between each round, there are purchase rounds – both mechanics are known from Counter-Strike. However, Veiled Experts is played in third-person, and there are purchasable items that count for the whole team.
Additionally, you can choose from different agents that allow for a variety of play styles. There are offensive, defensive, and supportive abilities. It’s not as colorful and crazy as in Overwatch, but still has a significant impact on the matches.
A touch of Battle Royale and Call of Duty also makes an appearance: during a match, the play area shrinks further and further, and you can buy powerful gadgets from the shop that resemble CoD killstreaks.
All of this takes place in the familiar “Search & Destroy” mode: five attackers must plant a bomb, while the defenders have two objectives to protect. However, other modes are planned:
Bomb Defusal 3v3 / 5v5
Team Deathmatch
Free-for-all
Team Deathmatch vs. AI
We currently do not know which modes will be available in the Open Beta. What is certain is that Bomb Defusal 5v5 will be included.
How can you play the Beta? Log in to Steam and visit the game page for Veiled Experts (via Steam). Here, you can request access and will receive immediate entry into the Open Beta.
This is, by the way, the last Beta before the final release. However, there is no specific date for that yet, but the shooter is expected to fully launch in Q2 2023.
Veiled Experts aims to finance itself through microtransactions, offering a Battle Pass and cosmetic items for the different heroes, referred to as “Experts” here. We found no indications of Pay2Win during our first playthrough.
If you have any questions about the title or would like to share your opinion, please leave a comment on the topic.
A female mage in World of Warcraft bravely fights against bots. Her strongest weapon: toys that allow her to abduct the bots.
Bots are an ever-present problem in both versions of World of Warcraft. Even in Dragonflight, there are still large groups of farming bots that kill enemies at various locations for hours, skin them, and then sell the leather and other resources in the auction house for gold. Most of you have probably seen such bot-farming groups, rolled your eyes in annoyance, and then moved on.
However, some players cannot bear the sight – and take action against it.
How to deal with bots? In the WoW Subreddit, “orc_with_a_bear_mask”, better known in-game as “Cynndia”, described some incidents with bots. At first, she simply trolled the botters by pulling enemies with special loot out of the bots’ range.
But later, Cynndia got more creative. She used numerous toys to spread them near the bots – like items such as comfy furs or cushions. Gradually, the bots landed on these and got stuck.
A bot is currently being “abducted”.
Especially amusing: Cynndia discovered that bots can also be placed on the “sleigh of Iskaara”. This is a toy where one player gets on a sled and can be pulled by another character. Cynndia took advantage of this to separate bots from the group and send them on a little world tour. She showed several screenshots where she led bots to the nearest lava pool or directly onto a ship heading to another continent.
Why does this work? Most bots operate automatically with fixed routines. This means they lure enemies to a specific spot, kill them there, and then interact with the corpses to gain leather as skinners.
However, this “interacting” can be wonderfully exploited. If you place a toy on the corpses that allows for an interaction, the bot will eventually click on the toy and get stuck on it. Because some toys require a special button press to “get out” again.
The end of a bot – in the lava.
Aside from that, Cynndia naturally reported the respective accounts for botting. However, it can take several weeks or even months for that to lead to a penalty – because enough reports are needed and bans usually occur in waves, with several thousand accounts being closed simultaneously.
Additional photos of Cynndia’s “adventures” have been uploaded to imgur.
Community reacts enthusiastically: The post in which Cynndia presents her adventures has received over 1,500 upvotes in the subreddit – with 98% approval. The community has praised this work, although some note that this is something Blizzard should actually take care of or that such behavior can also pose a danger to one’s own account:
“And I played Mythic+ all this time without realizing that this was the actual endgame content.”
“I had to laugh out loud at the sabotage with the sled. Thanks for that.”
“Be careful when you confront botters. They can report you en masse, and then you will be automatically banned. That has happened to me before.”
If you ever see a group of farming bots, take a slice from Cynndia – and give the bots a little trip to the nearest lava pool or to another continent. They will surely curse you later.

Destiny 2 has seen many players tackle the hardest content effortlessly alone. Now a Guardian has defeated the latest final boss of the raid “Root of Nightmares” solo. Here’s how he did it.
What was accomplished? The fresh YouTuber and Guardian TheSnazzzyRock is known on his channel for overcoming raid encounters solo or duo. This time, the new raid “Root of Nightmares” was chosen as a challenge. Snazzzy has set out to defeat Nezarek, the final boss of the Lightfall raid, solo without any help from other players.
Destiny 2: Lightfall – “Season of Resistance” trailer
Defeating Nezarek Alone – Here’s How He Did It
TheSnazzzyRock took his Warlock for this challenge with a variety of builds that he constantly switched based on situations thanks to the new build crafting menus.
First, he tackled the mechanics with light and darkness while gradually decimating the enemies. He used the Solar gauntlets and generated many grenades after a melee kill. Meanwhile, he maneuvered quickly across the entire map with his Icarus Dash so as not to waste time on the mechanics.
You can see the entire fight here in his clip on YouTube:

If all the conditions are right for the damage phase, he switches his loadout and hides with his well in a corner of the map where Nezarek cannot attack or harm him. Snazzzy repeated this three times until he was finally able to defeat Nezarek in the final stand.
After his victory, Snazzzy began to scream and cheer with joy, while he clarified that his hands had gone numb.
How does the community react? Players on YouTube celebrate his clip for the victory against Nezarek. They find it funny how the final boss just falls over upon his death. The players comment:
“The way Nezarek fell to the ground like ‘I’m done, dude’ is hilarious, hahaha Congratulations!!” – says Will Arzamendi
“The reaction combined with the way Nezarek just fell to the ground officially made this the biggest video on this platform, congratulations man” – adds Rey
“I’m so happy to see a truly dedicated person finish this” – says Lyriss
It’s interesting to see that not only the PvE god of Destiny 2 can create such crazy moments. Other players in the community can also achieve such victories if they just want to.
What do you think of the clip? Do you think it’s amazing that Shazzzy accomplished this? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
In the USA, a chip has been developed that could make powerful devices significantly faster and smaller. This includes, among other things, graphics cards, processors, and also AI-based projects.
Our title image (graphics chip of an AMD graphics card) is a symbolic image.
At the University of Southern California (USC), researchers have stated that a new chip and memory have been developed that could improve both AI projects and hardware in the future (via techxplore.com).
Instead of relying only on silicon, the current most important building block for computer chips, the university is using a combination of new materials and traditional silicon technology. This is expected to increase performance while simultaneously decreasing chip size.
Chips are becoming smaller, more powerful, and energy-efficient
Joshua Yang is a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at USC. He explains that the newly developed memory chip would offer the highest information density per device (11 bits) among all known memory technologies. And this could play a crucial role in providing various devices with a significant performance boost in the future.
How does it work exactly? The technology presented focuses on using the positions of atoms to represent information. In the current technology, the number of electrons is used for calculations on a chip.
The positions of the atoms provide a compact and stable way to store more information in an analog rather than a digital manner. Additionally, the information can be processed where it is stored, instead of sending it directly to a dedicated processor.
By switching chips from electrons to atoms, the chips also become smaller. Yang adds that with this new method, more computing capacity is available in a smaller space.
Moreover, this method could offer “many more layers of storage to increase information density”.
Another point mentioned by the researchers is energy savings. Because when you turn off devices like smartphones or smartwatches, the process requires power since many things need to be reloaded. With the new technology, data is expected to be stored long-term, which could save power and resources during the next boot of your smartphone.
As further examples of applications, especially AI projects are mentioned. Because these are almost exclusively calculated in the cloud. However, with the new chip, performance could increase so that anyone could integrate something like ChatGPT into the chip of their smartwatch, without needing the large server with hundreds of graphics cards anymore.
Currently, powerful graphics cards are becoming larger and taking up a lot of space in gaming systems. And this could change in the end. Nvidia’s new small graphics card is only partially suitable for gamers:
New affixes are to be regulated in World of Warcraft. But the criticism is harsh. Does Blizzard not understand the problem?
The “Mythic+” system in World of Warcraft is under criticism. While the fundamental principle of increasingly harder dungeons with increasingly better rewards is firmly established, the affixes are not. These additional difficulties have increasingly come into disrepute in recent months. For this reason, Blizzard wants to change some things with Patch 10.1 Fury of Neltharion. The seasonal affix will be removed and 3 other affixes will be completely taken out.
But there are also 3 new affixes that have now been found in data mining.
Which affixes are being removed? For Season 2, some affixes are being taken out of the rotation. They will not appear in Season 2. These include:
Quaking
Grievous
Volcanic
With that, many affixes are being removed that annoyed a certain group. Quaking was particularly annoying for melee fighters, while Grievous kept healers on their toes and Volcanic drove spellcasters to despair.
Which affixes have been found? Three new affixes have been added for Season 2. The first variant looks like this:
Afflicted: During the fight, afflicted spirits occasionally appear and plead with players for help. These spirits have different ailments (curse, poison, or disease). If the corresponding ailment is removed or the spirit is completely healed, it dissipates. If that doesn’t happen, the spirit screams in anguish and reduces the speed of all player characters by 100% for 10 seconds.
Entangling: Players are ensnared by a root and slowed by 50%. Characters have 8 seconds to get far enough away from the root for it to break. If they are still affected by the root after the 8 seconds, players will be stunned for 3 seconds.
Incorporeal: An additional mob appears that takes almost no damage for 20 seconds. This add casts an 8-second spell that, if successful, reduces the damage dealt and healing of all player characters by 50% for 10 seconds. The incorporeal enemy is susceptible to all forms of crowd control.
However, keep in mind with these findings that this is still just data mining. Many things can still change before the release of Patch 10.1.
The first criticism from the community is devastating: In the WoW subreddit and the comments on wowhead, the new affixes are not well received. Especially “Entangling” seems to be already predisposed to causing spontaneous deaths when players cannot evade an attack quickly enough because they were slowed by a root. Also, “Incorporeal” could become a time sink if the creature appears at the end of a fight and only takes damage after 20 seconds.
What do you think of the new affixes? Do they look interesting? Or is Blizzard taking the wrong approach?

Blue Protocol is a new anime MMORPG set to be released in 2023. However, it has recently become a bit quiet around the game. New videos of the classes have now been released in Korea. Furthermore, there will be significantly more gameplay to see starting from March 31.
What is happening with Blue Protocol right now? Actually, the new MMORPG was supposed to launch in spring 2023 in Japan and then come to the West during the year. The publisher here is Amazon. But even before the first network test in January, the bad news came: The test was postponed by more than two months due to a serious bug.
Since then, only a few pieces of information have been shared. The western website has not received any updates since December 2022. Now, Smilegate, the developer of Lost Ark, has released the Korean website for Blue Protocol. And there are a few new details.
Some characters and their respective voice actors are introduced. Additionally, there are small gameplay videos of the 5 classes:
Blade Guardian
Twin Striker
Arrow Stalker
Flux Weave
Enemy Breaker
These have been compiled by the YouTuber duc_one, set to the game’s soundtrack, and provided with small info snippets about the play styles:

The network test starts on March 31, finally bringing more gameplay videos
What is the status of the network test now? The first major test since 2021 will take place starting March 31 in Japan. It is primarily about stressing the servers. Therefore, there are several restrictions.
Testers can level only up to level 20, only play the first story chapter, and do not have access to all quests.
Only players living in Japan are officially allowed to participate in the test. Some players have registered for it using VPNs, but there have also been reports of bans, as the fan site Blue Protocol Database reports (via Twitter).
Will there finally be more gameplay? Very likely, as the test is not under NDA. In a livestream, the developers only asked to avoid story spoilers to not ruin the excitement for other players.
Access to the beta of Counter-Strike 2 is highly sought after. Besides Twitch streamers like shooter ace Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, only a few players selected by the developers have made it into the beta. One of these chosen ones confided in the streamer, and Shroud found just the right words – or maybe not.
How did the situation come about? Shortly after the match began, one of the players Shroud was in a lobby with revealed that his wife had left him.
The streamer asked what had happened, and suddenly everything spilled out from the teammate:
I have a one-year-old daughter, my wife just decided to leave me for her ex. She decided that she loves him more and ran off.
Shroud asks in shock if the wife took all of the player’s things. He clarifies: He told her to get her stuff, and she did.
The Twitch streamer obviously did not expect the conversation to go this way: It was just too real, too quickly.
The teammate explains further: The worst part is that his wife didn’t give him a real reason. If he had at least done something wrong, he could understand it better than this. However, he wants to rise above the matter, not badmouth his wife.
The other players tried to express support for their comrade: Without her, he would be better off.
Shroud, however, goes quiet, seems to think for a moment. Then he finds the perfect words for the serious situation: “Well, hey, at least you still have the CS2 beta!”

How did the teammate react? He took it with humor: He feels like he got a golden ticket from Willy Wonka, like in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” He even shared on Facebook that he got access.
If you also want to participate in the beta of Counter-Strike 2, we have bad news for you: The testers are apparently handpicked by the developers. They pay attention to factors such as the trustworthiness of the Steam account and playtime on official Valve servers before the beta starts. We will keep you updated with the latest information here:
In Pokémon GO the annual spring event starts in a few days. This year, you can expect new monsters, costumed Pokémon, and a variety of egg bonuses. We at MeinMMO will show you what other content you can look forward to.
What event is it about? Every year, around Easter, Pokémon GO hosts the so-called spring event “Hop into Spring”. On Tuesday, it will be time again, and the event will provide you with a Pokémon debut as well as encounters with costumed monsters. We have summarized for you what spawns and bonuses you can expect.
When does the spring event take place? The event starts on April 4, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time and runs over the Easter holidays until it ends on April 10, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time. Niantic accidentally published the first details about this event too early. Meanwhile, all the information is known.
New Pokémon for the Spring Event
Finding Wommel: One of the event highlights will be the Pokémon debut of the two Combee Pokémon. There were already first hints about the release from a tweet a few days ago. Now it’s official: at the spring event, you can encounter Wommel and evolve it to Bandelby using 50 candies.
During the event period, it will then be found in the wild, in 2km eggs, and in level-1 raids. You can recognize this bug and fairy Pokémon from Generation 7 by its small honey-yellow body, long black legs, and the two wings that have a light brown pattern.
Costumed Monsters: The focus of this year’s spring event is also on flower crowns and cherry blossoms, which is why you can find a variety of costumed Pokémon. You can expect Pikachu and Evoli as well as all their evolutionary stages adorned with cherry blossoms for the first time.
But also Haspiror, Wonneira, Chaneira, Togepi, and Togetic will again rely on their tried and tested headgear this year and, as in the last year, can be found with a flower crown.
New costumed Pokémon
The new costumed Pikachu and Evoli were already discovered in the source code a few days ago and caused uncertainty among trainers. In the following article, we explain why:
Which spawns and shinys are there? In addition to Wommel and the new costumed Pokémon, you can find more thematically suitable monsters in the wild, in raids, and in the 2km eggs. We have summarized for you which ones they are and where you can find them. Some of them you can also encounter in their shiny forms with a bit of luck. These are marked with a star (*).
Wild Spawns:
Pikachu with cherry blossoms*
Pummeluff*
Evoli with cherry blossoms*
Marill*
Flurmel*

The player He Box Jonge has set a crazy world record in Old School RuneScape (Steam, Android, iOS). While other players attempt speedruns for individual content, he has leveled a complete account to max level as quickly as possible. He beat his originally set goal by 200 hours and narrowly defeated another speedrunner.
What kind of record is this? In July 2022, the player started his journey to the “Max Cape”. This is a reward for players who have reached the maximum level of 99 in all 23 skills. These skills include Attack, Hitpoints, and Magic, but also Cooking, Woodcutting, and Fishing.
In his announcement video, He Box Jonge explained that he had two goals for the challenge:
He wanted to be faster than the player JCW, who had also recently started this challenge.
He wanted to stay under 1,000 game hours, which many considered very ambitious. After all, there were only 32,929 players who had maximized all skills (as of March 1, 2023). Many of them took thousands of hours to do so.
He documented his journey to the “Max Cape” on Twitch and in a small video series on YouTube. The last video was released on March 27. There he showcased his success. He reached max level in all skills in 32 days, 3 hours, and 3 minutes and clearly fell short of his set goal with 771 game hours.

How did the other player perform? There was a close neck-and-neck race between He Box Jonge and JCW for much of the time, as reported by Reddit user Drogon. In the Slayer achievement, which recently set another record, they were said to have been nearly equally fast.
JCW was even faster than He Box Jonge in Runecrafting. He set a temporary world record of 6 hours to level 99 in this skill, which has since been broken.
However, JCW had to concede at Fishing. He lost over 7 hours to his opponent because he underestimated the net fishing in the low-level area.
In the end, JCW even managed to reach max level in all skills almost simultaneously, but needed 792 hours for it.
What happens next? Both players have become friends through the challenge and want to set more records in the future. He Box Jonge wants to focus on the Ultimate Ironman. There are special rules:
You only have one life – upon death you are downgraded to “Standard Ironman”
You cannot trade with other players
You cannot use a bank
You do not gain XP or loot through PvP
You cannot use certain quests, rewards, and minigames
What do you think about such crazy achievements? And what have you personally achieved that you are particularly proud of? Feel free to write it in the comments.
Another player has already endured the Ironman and has received a lot of ridicule for it:
The PC version of “The Last of Us Part 1” is receiving a lot of criticism on Steam for its technical implementation. Now the developers have spoken out.
The Last of Us is arguably one of the most popular games of all time. On the review platform Metacritic, the original version of the game on PS3 holds an impressive score of 95. The same score was achieved by the PS4 remaster in 2014.
In June 2022, the big announcement followed. The successful hit is set to receive a remake on PS5 and – it gets even better – will also be released for PC. A Steam release was on the horizon. This is what PC gamers have been waiting for.
On March 28, 2023, it finally happened, the PC version was released. But instead of celebrating, the players are disappointed. The reviews are mostly negative one day after the official Steam release – only 33% of over 6,800 player reviews rate the PC port positively (via Steam)
The game has numerous technical issues – shaders load very slowly, the performance is poor and unstable. Problems that were also confirmed by GameStar Tech.

Naughty Dog Responds to the Criticism
How do the developers respond? On Twitter, Naughty Dog, the studio behind The Last of Us, has addressed the criticism of their game. They stated that they have taken the players’ concerns into account and are now investigating the reported issues.
On the studio’s website, the developers have also compiled a list of known issues (via feedback.naughtydog.com). The following errors are listed:
Loading shaders takes longer than expected
Performance and stability are affected while shaders are loading in the background
Older graphics drivers lead to instability and/or graphical issues
The game may not start even if the minimum system requirements are met.
A possible memory leak
In conclusion, the studio asks that you fill out a ticket on the support page if you encounter an error that is not listed in the recent patch notes.
Unlike the PC port of The Last of Us Part 1, the first season of the TV series was well received by many fans and received a lot of praise – even from MeinMMO Editor-in-Chief Leya Jankowski.
The Twitch streamer Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang is part of a number of content creators who have formed their own teams in esports in recent months. However, esports is currently facing a significant crisis in 2023, with a lack of funding evident everywhere. It is referred to as the “esports winter.” For the shooter Valorant, Disguised Toast assembled a women’s team consisting of 4 female streamers, which caused a lot of dissatisfaction. One esports female player complained that he should give women with esports ambitions a chance.
What kind of team is this? At the beginning of January, Disguised Toast introduced his Valorant team “Disguised” (DSG). With his team, the streamer was able to celebrate some initial smaller successes, but soon the question arose as to how this whole thing would actually be profitable:
On March 28, the streamer presented a second team, which seems to have been specifically assembled for the VCT Game Changers: The Game Changers are about tournaments for women and other marginalized gender identities in Valorant.
The team consists of female streamers for the Riot shooter, who have between several tens of thousands and over 2.3 million followers on Twitch:
Of the players, only Tupperware has “Game Changers” experience. Former CS:GO pro Corey “ruin” Hartog joins as a coach.
Female esports player says: “Like a slap in the face”
What were the reactions? In the comments under the announcement tweet, there is a lot of enthusiasm. After all, DisguisedToast and the streamers combined have millions of fans. But soon criticism arose as well.
Female esports player finds behavior “disrespectful”
What’s the problem? In a now-deleted thread, a “Game Changers” player expressed her frustration. She was particularly bothered that well-known female streamers were signed instead of established professionals.
As someone who mainly participates in the Game Changers and cares about the growth of the scene and its players, I find it disrespectful. […] The argument that this team will draw attention to the scene from which we could actually benefit makes no sense to me. The talented competitors are not being highlighted. […] It feels a bit like a slap in the face.
The problem, according to the player, is that the organization initially asked for professional female players for a “Game Changers” team but then signed streamers instead, for whom participation is a one-time thing.
If the team had been declared as a “fun team” from the outset, it would have been different. The player feels that “real” players had a huge opportunity “taken away” in favor of streamers who do not want to genuinely compete in the professional scene.
She fears that the women’s scene may be taken even less seriously than it already is (Twitter via WaybackMachine).
What does Disguised Toast say about the criticism? On Twitter, content creator Disguised Toast explained what motivated the decision to sign female streamers. He stated that he had asked for the best “Game Changers” players who were not signed elsewhere a month ago.
He received many good recommendations for his inquiry, but ultimately felt that time was too short to responsibly put a team together. The qualifiers start on April 4.
Between the lines, one can read that Disguised Toast changed his plan:
the new team is not supposed to play really “competitively” and thus not necessarily win matches and tournaments
instead, the team is meant to produce content and memes
There was probably also a financial aspect involved, as Disguised Toast stated that assembling a “real” team would cost around 300,000 US dollars. He doesn’t want to invest that amount into a scene that is still quite underfunded by Riot, said the streamer.
I assure you that all the women in the team take the event very seriously and meet all participation criteria set by Riot. You have no right to exclude them from participation just because they are streamers.
With all due respect: In the competitive field, you owe nothing to anyone. Everyone is working hard. Everyone sacrifices their own time to make it somewhere. You don’t deserve an organization more than the next person.
Disguised Toast hopes that the attention from the well-known female streamers will help to show the world that there is a demand for Valorant content.
The first Valorant Game Changers Championship took place from November 15 to 20 in Berlin. Who took the race can be read here:
For 14 years, Blizzard and NetEase worked together to release games like Diablo, World of Warcraft or Overwatch in China. In January 2023, the partnership came to an abrupt end, which was said to have generated $750 million in annual revenue. Now the New York Times reports on the background.
This is what we knew so far:
To do business in China, Western companies need a local partner. For Activision Blizzard, that was NetEase for 14 years: They published Blizzard’s games in China such as WoW, Diablo 3, or Overwatch. The deal was said to generate around $750 million in revenue per year.
However, a rift occurred between the two companies in 2023, and the agreement fell apart. NetEase blamed Blizzard and reacted angrily and furiously. Blizzard remained tight-lipped about why the deal ended.
In any case, all servers for Blizzard’s games went offline in January. A total of 3 million players were reportedly affected by the end of the games, with about 100,000 players alone in WoW losing their home. The Overwatch League, which has its own Chinese teams, seems to have been strongly affected by the end of the deal.
Apparently, Blizzard did not wish for the end of the deal. They even made last-minute offers to save the deal. But at that time, NetEase was apparently so angry with Blizzard that they had even the Orc statue smashed.
How did it come to pass that the business partners parted ways in a dispute?

Head of Activision Blizzard felt threatened
What are the new details? The New York Times now reports what allegedly led to the separation of both companies.
In October 2021, there was a conversation between Activision Blizzard and NetEase. The discussion took place over a Zoom call. However, both sides would have interpreted what was discussed quite differently:
NetEase reportedly saw their behavior as “accommodating”.
But Activision Blizzard interpreted their behavior as “threatening”.
It is said that even prior to the negotiations, NetEase was dissatisfied with the situation: The head of Activision Blizzard, Bobby Kotick, had made increasingly outrageous demands in previous years. For example, in 2018, NetEase invested $100 million in the developer Bungie, which was then still partnered with Activision Blizzard. However, Kotick criticized this investment, claiming that Bungie was already lagging behind on Destiny.
NetEase, in turn, wanted to change the deal with Activision to safeguard against the growing pressure from the Chinese government on tech companies:
NetEase wanted Activision to disclose more internal data to appease the Chinese regulators.
Additionally, they wanted more influence over the games to better comply with the new rules in China.
Kotick is often criticized – especially by the community.
Kotick believed NetEase was trying to blackmail him with “veto” against the Microsoft deal
However, something must have gone wrong during the call in October 2022. As reported by the New York Times, the conversation was conducted through translators, and at some point, they discussed the planned deal in which Microsoft wants to buy Activision Blizzard and that they need the “okay” from regulators worldwide.
Kotick understood the situation to mean that NetEase threatened him, saying they would persuade the Chinese government to block the deal – depending on how the negotiations between Activision Blizzard and NetEase went.
However, NetEase denies that such hints were made.
Apparently, this feeling of being extorted led Kotick to an early end of the negotiations.
The New York Times reported that a month after the Zoom call, both companies ended the discussions.
Discussions went so poorly that NetEase destroyed Blizzard statue
Later, Activision apparently made another offer to NetEase. NetEase was to pay $500 million as an advance payment. With this, Blizzard apparently wanted to prevent the games from being copied or falling into the hands of the Chinese government. However, the proposal was perceived as very brazen by the Chinese side.
It is said that Activision Blizzard offered NetEase a last-minute extension of the existing deal for 6 months – but NetEase then rejected the extension as unfair. NetEase stated that it was like “living together even though you are already divorced.”
Ultimately, the games went offline, and 100,000 players alone in WoW became homeless.
NetEase destroyed the World of Warcraft sculpture from Blizzard in front of 30,000 people:

The open beta of Diablo 4 has left many fans feeling empty. Many are now fleeing to other games during the waiting period until the release. One game has especially captivated many players: Last Epoch, which is currently booming on Steam.
You can choose from 15 classes and over 100 skill trees and create builds. As in any good ARPG, you are constantly hunting for better equipment and trying to perfect your character.
For years, the ARPG had only a few hundred players, occasionally a few thousand. But in March Last Epoch exploded on Steam with up to 40,500 players simultaneously. A record for the small indie project.
5 Alternatives to Diablo 4 that are not Path of Exile
“Diablo 4 is better polished, but I still love Last Epoch”
This is what players are saying: In a thread on Reddit, Last Epoch is currently the number 1 game for everyone waiting for the release of Diablo 4. Blizzard may have created a much prettier game, but the gameplay and mechanics in Last Epoch are excellent:
“Seriously, the character development in Last Epoch is top notch, the skill tree is incredible. The crafting is, in my opinion, the best in the genre. It’s not pretty, but the core is unparalleled.”
When can I play Diablo 4 again? On June 6, Diablo 4 will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. According to current information, no further beta tests are planned in advance.
Anyone who pre-orders the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition can also start 4 days earlier, on June 2. However, there is no other advantage to pre-ordering. The first season will not start until a bit later anyway.
If Last Epoch is not for you or if you are looking for games on other platforms, we have some alternatives to Diablo for you:
A 69-year-old Guardian is having trouble navigating Destiny 2. After discussing her uncertainties on Reddit, the other Guardians immediately came to her aid. The community provides numerous tips and advice to help the returning player get back into the game.
Live service games that are actively developed over several years accumulate a lot of content. This also applies to Destiny 2. Bungie develops new expansions for the loot shooter on an annual basis, bringing new campaigns, new locations, and class changes.
For newcomers and returning players, it can be quite challenging to keep track. There is a lot of content, plus daily or weekly tasks to complete.
A 69-year-old Guardian has now taken the plunge. However, with the sheer amount of new content, she quickly lost track and asked for help on Reddit. The community’s response is touching; many Guardians immediately offered her advice and assistance.
With “Lightfall,” there is a lot of new content for Destiny 2. You can find an overview in this video:

Guardian asks for advice on Reddit, and the Destiny community is there to help
The Guardian with the Reddit username u/schragae wrote a post titled “An old lady says hello” (via reddit.com). There she described her situation in detail. Back in 2019, she played quite a bit of Destiny. But then her father passed away, and she lost interest.
However, her son apparently managed to convince her to give the loot shooter another chance. She tried “Shadowkeep” and became hooked immediately. Still, she has many questions that other returning players might also have: Which weapons should I use? How do I find good gear and which resources should I farm?
The community then shares many tips and tricks; some Guardians refer to specific YouTube guides or websites.
My condolences regarding your father. My wife and I also lost a family member last year.
Do things that you enjoy! Sometimes it’s enough to seek your own challenges. The sense of accomplishment is worth it. But you can also explore the environment and enjoy the music. Or you can just slay everything that moves!
What’s important is that you choose skills and weapons that you enjoy. I’m not very good with hand cannons or snipers, so I rarely use them… Sometimes I try to practice with them, but mostly I just use the weapons that I’m good with. Everyone has their own favorites.
Other Guardians also immediately offer to play with the 69-year-old. u/schragae is positively surprised by how many older Destiny players reach out to her.
I am also an older lady (65) and often play with people who are all over 50. You can find me in the game under this name […] I’ve been playing since Destiny 1, day 1 on Xbox, and I love this game.
Below her post, there are numerous heartfelt comments. The Guardians encourage the 69-year-old to keep playing and are glad that she is part of the community.
What do you think about the community’s reaction? Have you experienced something similar in Destiny 2 or another game? We look forward to your comments!

The German streamer Sebastian “Rewinside” Meyer has been creating content on YouTube and Twitch for 10 years. He has seen it all, but there’s one streamer he can’t handle: Talyor_Jevaux is somewhat like “Amouranth in evil.” She appeared in a live stream on Twitch in a latex suit, but most of the time she is not visible at all.
Who is the streamer?
Rewinside is a successful German content creator with 1.7 million followers. He has been on the Twitch platform since 2013. Last year, he ranked 150th among German Twitch streamers based on viewing hours.
In the last 365 days, Rewinside primarily showcased Minecraft, along with GTA 5 and CS:GO. He is also active in Just Chatting.
The streamer’s actual home is YouTube: he appears in many videos created in collaboration with people like Julien Bam or Trymacs.
Rewinside discovers a streamer who is just as big as he is – But completely different
Which streamer shocked him so much? On March 27, Rewinside showed a screenshot from a stream of Taylor Jevaux on Twitter: She is a Twitch streamer with 1.7 million followers. So she is just as big as he is on Twitch.
Jevaux describes herself as a model and video artist. She has a passion for video games, technology, fitness, and looking good.
The streamer is wearing a “latex bikini” in the screenshot. According to the description of her stream, she is doing the exercise “Jumping Jacks”.
The video includes how many bits the viewers should donate. At the moment of the screenshot, over 3,000 people are watching her.

What problem does he have with the streamer? Rewinside seems to be shocked at first, which is possible on Twitch. Twitch had established itself over the years as almost a pure gaming platform, but for about five years, the offering has expanded: Jevaux streams in the “Just Chatting” category, where no games are played.
But Rewinside seems to wonder why there is no penalty from Twitch, but rather that the streamer is balancing on the rules.
But the people on Twitter react much more calmly than the streamer: There are worse things, like Nazis or conspiracists. A viewer says: “With all the Nazis, we actually have bigger problems on Twitch than a woman’s breasts.”
And that seems to convince Rewinside. He concedes: He doesn’t find it bad either, he was just surprised at first.

Gronkh, the man with the voice – Career and life of Germany’s most famous Let’s Player
Streamer is known for not being seen most of the time
Why is the woman considered so evil? The streamer “Taylor Jevaux” is known for a devious technique that has been analyzed and criticized by several websites.
The streamer is usually live for over 6 hours.
However, she is not visible in the stream most of the time, and you can only see an arm or hear her voice because the streamer spends a large part of the time out of the camera’s view.
According to a statistic, she was only actually visible on camera for about 3% to 20% of the time over 3 days in November 2022.
The streamer was online for long hours over 3 days in November, but barely visible. Source: Cockeyed
Streamer is considered the “biggest baiter” on Twitch with countdowns to nothing
The site Dexerto writes that countdowns run in her streams until the streamer reappears – But when the countdown is over, nothing happens.
During a 6-hour stream, the streamer is often only visible for a few minutes, while viewers spend the rest of the time waiting for her to show up.
One website calls the streamer the “biggest baiter” on Twitch, while another speaks of “terrible tactics” and advises not to watch her streams at all. Those who find the streamer so fascinating should rather follow her on YouTube.
So Rewinside was apparently lucky to even catch her.
The strange thing is: Although watching the streamer seems incredibly frustrating, her strategy seems to be working. Apparently, Taylor Jevaux is extremely successful with her devious scheme.
With her appearance, she seems to be competing to be the most evil streamer on Twitch. This unofficial title was held until recently by “InvaderVie”. She once sweetly told her viewers not to be so fussy and to throw money at her, even though she had just lost her job. Being broke was no excuse.
It’s likely that Taylor Jevaux, like Amouranth, does not make most of her money from Twitch, but from other projects that she promotes through Twitch, Instagram, and Twitter. She has an OnlyFans account and also sells her own underwear on a site.
In Destiny 2 there is an interesting new development: NPCs that can play the game for players. And often even more efficiently than the Guardians themselves. MeinMMO shows you how effective the new allies are and why the players find it quite amusing.
Which allies has Destiny 2 sent into the race? For a few seasons, the Vanguard has formed an alliance with the Cabal. This means Caiatl, the current Empress of the Cabal Empire, allows her troops to fight side by side with the Guardians. And that happens more and more often.
Since the Season of the Resurrected, the Empress’s Cabal forces have been supporting the Guardians. For the first time in the Psi-Ops Battlegrounds on the Moon.
In the Lightfall campaign, the Cabal troops defend the ominous Veil, the central object of the campaign, in an epic battle against the Darkness.
Now, in the current Season 20, the new Cabal allies can even be found in several places in the revised Strike “The Arms Dealer” – thus an active part of the playlist.
Sounds good. The only problem is that these allies either stand in the way or, in some cases, are even more effective than the Guardians themselves. They take away from the players the greatest pleasure, stealing the kill of the strike’s final boss right before their eyes.

Guardians only play second fiddle in Strikes now
Some Guardians are not happy about this, like the well-known Destiny 2 streamer Gladd. He complains on Twitter to Bungie that the new Cabal allies just stand in his way and that he can no longer play.
Contrary to Gladd’s streamer luxury problems, other Guardians in Destiny 2 recognize a much more important issue with the support from Caiatl’s troops, as player SneakyBeaver.
If NPCs now coldly steal the kills from players, even with precision skills that even outshine Cayde-6, then it effectively costs players their points. In the worst case, one might miss the successful strike completion of 130,000 points and need another run.
Accordingly, SneakyBeaver replied to Gladd with a comment, stating:
I actually had the opposite problem. I was trying to farm points and the Cabal allies take away your kills and you don’t get points if you didn’t shoot [the enemies] [yourself].
There’s not much left for the Guardians from the final boss
In the strike “The Arms Dealer” in the European Dead Zone, playing Destiny 2 has almost become an automated process for the playing Guardians, allowing them to only do emotes.
The Cabal are meanwhile aggressively attacking their relatives and inflicting damage without pause. Thus, the Guardians have no choice but to watch the commotion from the sidelines and wonder why they suddenly play just second fiddle in Destiny 2.
Real help or annoying blockade? While Gladd feels blocked, there are other players who still find the new NPC allies useful.
Especially for solo players or players who struggle to manage certain activities, Caiatl’s troops could indeed be a welcome support. After all, their high effectiveness helps in overcoming difficult tasks and reducing playtime.
We would be interested in your opinions and experiences with the NPC troops. Are they no problem for you or are they just as annoying to you in the strike “The Arms Dealer” as they are to Gladd? Feel free to leave us your thoughts on the topic in the comments.
If you prefer to do something without Cabal support – how about farming resources?
There are many fancy mounts in World of Warcraft. We show you 5 mounts from Dragonflight that you can earn quickly.
In World of Warcraft Dragonflight, a major focus has been placed on the ability to customize your character to your desires. This naturally includes plenty of mounts from which you can choose a favorite for various journeys.
Even though dragons are primarily used on the Dragon Isles, a large collection of mounts is still useful. After all, the animals can be used as ground mounts in many dungeons, and in the old world, they can be used freely.
In this guide, we present to you 5 fancy mounts from WoW Dragonflight that you can all farm with relatively little effort.
1. Stormhide Salamanther
Time required: 10-15 minutes
At the beginning of the expansion, the Stormhide Salamanther required quite an effort. Farming a whopping 2,000 Elemental Overflow could turn out to be a multi-hour task. After all, you could only farm Elemental Overflow from a few enhanced mobs during a storm.
However, that has changed. Since patch 10.0.7, you can enter the Forbidden Island and will be showered with Elemental Overflow everywhere. Even simple mobs sometimes drop several dozen of it. If you look at the map and help defeat the rare elite enemies, then there’s even over 1,000 Elemental Overflow for each kill.
In other words: You only need to defeat 2 rare enemies on the Forbidden Island to afford the Salamanther mount.
You can buy the Stormhide Salamanther in Valdrakken from the vendor “Mythressa”. She is located at coordinates 38 / 38.
2. Temperamental Skyclaw
Time required: 10 minutes to 2 hours
The Temperamental Skyclaw is technically one of the riddle mounts from Dragonflight. However, the riddle was relatively quickly figured out, so shortly after launch, many players walked around with this mount.
The nice thing about this mount is that you don’t have to farm anything for it, as long as you have a few hundred gold pieces saved up. Because all the necessary items for this riddle can be easily purchased from the auction house. Usually, they are offered by the hundreds, as they drop during the leveling phase – albeit rarely in the required quantity. You need:
20x Flashfrozen Meat
20x Gnolan’s House Special
20x Tuskarr Jerky
Travel with these items to the Azure Span to the troll Zon’Wogi, at coordinates 19 / 24. Offer him the various items – and just like that, the mount changes ownership to you and becomes a loyal companion!
3. Verdant Skitterfly
Time required: Random
The Verdant Skitterfly is relatively easy to obtain, but requires a lot of prior work. It is necessary that you have already reached Renown level 25 with the Dragonflight Expedition – the maximum.
Once this requirement is met, you can find the Verdant Skitterfly in any of the original areas of Dragonflight – specifically in the “Expedition Scout Packs”. These are the small backpacks that you can find all over the Dragon Isles.
The handy thing is that the small bags are displayed on the minimap, so you can often simply fly from one pack to the next.
Note that you should ideally not have shovels in your inventory, as this will also display the “disturbed earth”, which only increases your farming time.
The chance for the mount is quite low, but you can farm it conveniently on the side since you will encounter the Expedition Scout Packs from time to time. Sooner or later, the mount will be yours!
4. Zenet Hatchling
Time required: A few minutes
The Zenet Hatchling is obtained from a rare enemy. The special thing here is that the corresponding rare mob “Zenet Avis” always drops this mount 100% of the time – for each character involved in the kill!
The mount is not dropped directly, but in the form of a “Zenet Egg”. You just have to leave the egg in your inventory for 7 days (it doesn’t matter if you are online or offline) and then the pretty bird hatches, who will serve as your mount thereafter.
You can find “Zenet Avis” in the Ohn’ahra Plains, at coordinates 32 / 64. Note that the bird flies a few meters elevated above the ground, so it is not on the ground level.
Another tip: If you don’t spot Zenet Avis, try it in War Mode (or in No War Mode if it has already been active). You can activate this in Valdrakken. War Mode and No War Mode are counted as two separate “instances” and can have different rare enemies active. It can be worthwhile to check both modes.
Lizi’s Reins is one of the easiest mounts to obtain, as you only need to complete a small quest chain and have achieved at least Renown level 9 with the centaurs of Maruuk. Additionally, you must have completed the quest line “Initiate’s Outing” in the Ohn’ahra Plains.
The only “difficulty” is remembering to continue the quest chain. Because each day you can only complete one step of the quest. But don’t worry if you miss a day – you can always resume right where you left off.
Before starting the quest chain, you should go shopping at the auction house, as the quest chain requires several materials. However, these are offered for just a few gold pieces and should not pose a problem:
20x Fluorescent Liquid
20x Fiber-rich Leaf
10x Thousandbite Piranha
20x Woolly Mountain Fur
With these items in tow, travel to coordinates 56 / 77 in the Ohn’ahra Plains and speak with Initiate Radiya to start the quest chain. Day by day, you will need to complete different tasks until on day 5 you can receive the mount!
