It’s finally here: The Master Ball lands in Pokémon GO. What the new item brings and how you can get it will be shown here.
Trainers have been waiting for the Master Ball for years, and now it’s actually landing in Pokémon GO. Niantic announced this on the official Pokémon GO blog.
What is the Master Ball? Fans of the Pokémon series naturally know the ball. The Master Ball is the best ball in the world of Pokémon. No matter which wild Pokémon you throw it at, it will be caught, no matter how strong it is.
The catch: You usually only get the Master Ball once per game, or at least it is extremely rare. And even in Pokémon GO, it seems they are going a similar route.
When will the Master Ball come? It will land in Pokémon GO starting from May 22 as part of a special research.
How strong will the Master Ball be in Pokémon GO? Even in Pokémon GO, the Master Ball will be the best ball. Niantic clearly explains that you will catch every wild Pokémon guaranteed with it – even in raids. The same applies to Pokémon from lure modules or from daily adventure incense.
On this day, Pokémon GO will unlock a new special research at 10:00 AM local time, which can be collected until the end of the season on June 1, 2023. According to the announcement, it will revolve around Team GO Rocket and a gift from Professor Willow – the Master Ball.

How rare will the Master Ball be? You won’t be finding it in large quantities, that is clear. According to the announcement, you will get the Master Ball “not every day,” so you should carefully consider what to use it for.
At the same time, it is also emphasized that you should keep an eye out for more opportunities to get the Master Ball. Accordingly, there will be further chances to get the ball.
A new feature lands in Pokémon GO with the Master Ball, just before the current season ends. But the “Rising Heroes” season is approaching its end, before it is expected to continue with a new season on June 1, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
To keep you updated, you can find all the May events in Pokémon GO that will still take place until then.

The multiplayer shooter Hawken failed, the servers were shut down in 2018. Now Hawken Reborn is released as a single-player title for free on Steam and focuses on customizable battle machines in a dystopian setting.
What kind of game is Hawken Reborn? It is a first-person shooter set in a dark dystopia. Illal was once the utopian future of humanity until terraforming measures poisoned the atmosphere and a nanite plague devastated the planet.
This is what Hawken Reborn offers:
Dystopian, open game world: you fight head-to-head against corporations and factions in a futuristic, open world filled with resources, no-go zones, and enemies at every corner.
Character customization: the battle machines function similarly to character classes and can be visually customized.
Skill tree: a skill tree also allows for technical modifications of the mechs.
A new story in the Hawken universe: six story missions invite players to explore the world of Illal.
Patrol mode: outside the story, it is possible to complete special missions to gather resources and blueprints.

Hawken Reborn: Return as a Single Player Shooter on Steam – Trailer
The developers are focusing on the story mode this time
What game modes will there be? Initially, the story mode for single players is the priority. The developers want to appeal to players who feel discouraged by multiplayer shooters and necessary skills (via PC Gamer).
Additionally, there is the option to go into “Patrol Mode” outside of the story to explore regions and complete missions. This enhances replayability and allows you to try out different loadouts for your mech.
When can I play Hawken Reborn? Hawken Reborn goes into early access on Steam on May 17 and is free to play. There will initially be six story missions that will evolve over time.
In a Reddit thread on the topic, users reminisce about Hawken and hope that this time the release will be better received than the multiplayer title. Controlling the mech was a lot of fun, as were the battles.
According to the developers, you can specialize your mech for agility—the mechs in Hawken Reborn are quite mobile for two-legged battle tanks. Alternatively, specialization in damage, health, or another fourth attribute is possible.
With the battle machines, they also want to achieve individual character customization. The goal is to make them unique and this requires a lot of work. Early access is planned for approximately 18 months.
At a tournament in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, e-sports professional Enrique “Maister” Hernández managed to defeat his only 15-year-old opponent “Syrup”. He subsequently talked down to the younger player, but he did not count on his mother intervening.
What led to the verbal spat? From May 13 to May 14, the Low Tide City 2023 took place in Round Rock, Texas, a tournament for the fighting game Super Smash Bros Ultimate. In the match for the Top 8, 23-year-old pro “Maister” faced off against the only 15-year-old player “Syrup”.
Maister managed to win a close match 3-2 against the younger player, ultimately taking home bronze. However, his success is overshadowed by allegations that he insulted Syrup after their match. Even the mother of the 15-year-old got involved.

Maister turns out to be a poor winner
What happened after the match? On the evening of May 14, a discussion arose on Twitter regarding Maister’s behavior after his victory. Smash pro Jude “Jakal” Harris shared a screenshot indicating that the 23-year-old reportedly told his younger opponent after the match that he was “f****** terrible” (via Twitter).
Other Twitter users shared clips of Maister’s narrow victory and the subsequent celebration by the 23-year-old. However, the clip conveniently ends just before he acts disrespectfully towards his younger opponent:

What were the reactions like? Many Twitter users expressed confusion and anger at Maister’s behavior. While “trash talk” is not uncommon in competitive gaming, many find the comment particularly inappropriate given Syrup’s age.
Additionally, considering that Maister barely managed to win against the younger player, some speculate that this fact might have frustrated the older pro enough to belittle Syrup (via Twitter).
Commentator Rodney “Rod” Conyers recalls that Maister himself might have experienced similar treatment as a younger player (via Twitter). It seems he hasn’t learned from it.
Syrup’s mother intervenes
What did the mom have to say? After Maister attempted to justify his behavior in a now-deleted tweet, even Syrup’s mother reportedly stepped in according to Dexerto. She called the 23-year-old a failure (via Twitter). For this purpose, she allegedly even created a Twitter account specifically.
As an adult, I think players like you have no class and no sportsmanship. Even if you win, you’re still a loser all around. I have the utmost respect for all players, but you are the lowest of the low, no doubt.
How did it end? Members of the Smash community praised the 15-year-old’s mother for her clear words. Maister himself expressed remorse on May 15, stating that his behavior was wrong. He is ashamed and wishes to sincerely apologize (via Twitter).
Maister also reportedly attempted to reach out to Syrup and talk to him personally about the incident, but he declined. Some Twitter users hope that the bad winner’s behavior could motivate the 15-year-old to defeat Maister in their next encounter.
Better than a bad winner is one who doesn’t even realize he has won:
In Teamfight Tactics (TFT) there are various ways to spend your gold and roll for champions. Slow Roll, Hyper Roll, and Fast 8 are typical methods. We will show you what Slow Roll actually means.
What does rolling bring? In your TFT matches, managing your gold is one of the most important skills. When do you roll for XP, how much gold should you keep at minimum, and what is the goal? Guides often explain which roll strategy you should use for the suggested comp.
In this article, we explain Slow Rolling.
Slow Rolling in TFT Explained
What is Slow Rolling? This means that you save your gold for a longer time in order to possess as much of it as possible in the mid and late game. Essentially, you only roll until you have at least 50 gold remaining.
You need to save for a while first, in order to own the 3-star champions by level 7.
Stage 2: You want to use this phase to save as much gold as possible. But in the meantime, grab some cheap, strong champions to avoid losing too much health.
Stage 3: When you start Slow Rolling depends on the cost of your main carry. If it costs 2 gold, you’ll typically start Slow Rolling at level 6. If the carry costs 3 gold, you usually start at level 7. However, you can’t blindly follow this strategy; you need to pay attention to your health. If you keep losing and are among the last positions, it’s advisable to upgrade your team to 2-star champs in between.
Stage 4: If you have enough health points and a strong comp, you can now start to roll slowly towards level 8. If your health has drastically dropped, now is a good time to invest all your gold to obtain 3-star champions.
Stage 5 and higher: Here you are strongly dependent on how your game has been so far. If you have a solid comp and enough health points, you invest the gold into higher levels and look for champions that enhance your team well. If you currently have low health, roll for your missing champions and try to achieve the best possible ranking.
If you have any further tips for Slow Rolling in Teamfight Tactics, feel free to write them to us here on MeinMMO in the comments and share them with other readers.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 offers, in addition to the usual Battle Royale, the DMZ mode, which plays like an extraction shooter. You can find out what it entails and whether it’s worth your time here.
DMZ stands for “Demilitarized Zone” and is a free mode in Call of Duty: Warzone 2. It is an extraction shooter with PvEvP elements, and the gameplay is comparable to the hardcore shooter Escape from Tarkov – but you can forget the “hardcore” part.
MeinMMO explains the DMZ mode and provides a checklist with statements about the mode that give hints on whether it’s worth trying out.
This is the launch trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone 2:

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 – Launch Trailer
CoD Warzone 2: What is DMZ?
What do you have to do in Warzone DMZ? The DMZ mode is heavily oriented towards the genre of extraction shooters. It can be compared to a Battle Royale, but it is not directly about defeating other players. Rather, you have a mission – “Survive and Extract”.
You start at a random point on the Warzone map and set your own goal. These can be missions that you select in the menu beforehand. Alternatively, you can just explore or loot.
At the end of each round, there is either an “extraction” by helicopter or you go down. If you make it out by helicopter, you keep your weapons and equipment for the next round. If you go down, you lose everything you have.
The DMZ mode of Warzone 2 is designed for three players, but it can also be played with two or solo.
What is the goal of DMZ? Unlike Battle Royale, where you lose the match, in the DMZ mode, it’s more about your items that are at stake. Before every “raid,” you select equipment that you might lose, including loadout weapons or blueprint weapons with attachments.
You engage in battles against NPCs or other players – sometimes both. This creates a unique dynamic, leading to surprising situations time and again.
You decide how difficult your mission is
If you visit a large world event with plenty of loot, you will surely encounter other players: high risk
If you loot the area calmly and perhaps complete a mission: significantly lower risk
Outside of matches, you gather progress and complete missions for factions. Additionally, you earn experience points for your account, the weapons used, and the battle pass. There are also some smaller DMZ-exclusive rewards. If you are still unlocking weapons, the DMZ mode is perfect for that:
We have summarized the characteristics of the DMZ mode with 6 statements. If you relate to the following statements, you should definitely check out the mode:
You enjoy Battle Royale, but sometimes the pace is too low for you
You hang out in MW2 multiplayer or Warzone – but also enjoy PvE
You like to collect progress from match to match, aside from experience points
You want to set your own missions in a large open-world sandbox of Call of Duty
You enjoy the “thrill” and excitement when everything depends on small actions/decisions
The loss of powerful equipment doesn’t immediately lead you to uninstall the game
A new and highly amusing bug has taken the world of Guardians in Destiny 2. It transforms an entertaining attack with a chair and an Exotic into an attack that can weaken enemies in a large radius.
That’s why Guardians are currently in a furniture frenzy: In Season 20, the new finisher emote “Put them under Voltage” arrived in Destiny 2. It quickly gained great popularity, as it involves a virtual chair that Guardians can use to launch NPC enemies into the stratosphere with a humorous knockback animation. Just like in the best WWE fights.
However, it’s not just the entertainment factor of the new finisher emote that is remarkable, but also the effectiveness of the “Chair of Death”.
As Guardians have discovered, the chair not only finishes off badly injured fighters, but it can also actively weaken enemies in a large radius.
This is only possible if one equips the Warlock armor Exotic “Fellwinter’s Helm”.

A software engineer in India lost a lot of money because he fell for a scam. He was only supposed to like a few videos. In the end, he lost around 50,000 euros.
The victim received a message on WhatsApp claiming that he could earn more money by participating in a part-time job. His new task: liking YouTube videos.
But that wasn’t all. The engineer was asked to invest money. Through a Telegram group, he then began transferring the equivalent of 50,000 euros to the fraudsters. After the fraudsters received the money, they stated that he would need to transfer more money for profit sharing. But here the victim turned to the police.
Scammers exploit the lowest human needs
Why does this even work? Many scams rely on three human needs: fear, greed, and loneliness (via polizei-beratung.de). In all three cases, the feelings of the victim are manipulated:
You are threatened on the phone by a caller who claims the phone bill has not been paid.
There is an offer to get rich quickly with just a few clicks.
Lonely people are finally promised a romantic relationship.
Criminals usually promise their victims some emotional gains or explain their predicament and that they urgently need money. The emails from an African prince who wants to transfer a few million to you (Nigerian Connection) are probably the best-known scam.
And not everyone can see through the tricks of such people: According to police crime statistics, there were more than 140,000 reported cases nationwide in 2021. How many people didn’t report out of shame is unknown.
The last beta of Diablo 4 is over, but Asmongold is not missing the chance to talk about the monetization of the new hack & slash before the release. He agrees: Battle passes are bad and the deluxe edition is a nasty trick.
Who is Asmongold? On Twitch, Asmongold is one of the biggest streamers for MMORPGs. He became famous with World of Warcraft but also plays other games like Path of Exile and Lost Ark. His opinions on many topics in gaming and streaming are entertaining and valued, as the streamer never holds back.
Now Asmongold has reacted to a video regarding detailed facts of monetization in Diablo 4, where he perceives the deluxe edition as pure pay-to-win.
If you do not know Asmongold, we have a more detailed video about his career and life:

Asmongold would also sell deluxe editions as a developer, despite P2W
Nevertheless, Asmongold sees a nasty trick in the pre-orders of the more expensive editions, as those who pay more money get into the game earlier. For him, that is P2W, as you can secure an advantage over players who only join four days later.
Many players therefore feel compelled to buy the more expensive editions just to get into the game earlier. Many developers take advantage of this and try to make millions of dollars. As examples, Asmon mentions Lost Ark and Hogwarts Legacy. He says it is a lucrative trick that he would also pull off if he were a developer.
You can find his full reaction in his video on YouTube, which we have embedded for you here:

What are the key issues in monetization? However, it has not remained just with the more expensive editions, as the battle passes seem to be a thorn in Asmon’s side. He does not understand why they are temporary.
Fans are going to pay money for it anyway. So, they should be able to earn them even after a season has ended. This would ensure that fewer players are demotivated when they realize they are falling behind.
In-game currencies are also a nasty trick, as they cause fans to lose track of how much they are actually putting into a game. Diablo 4 is also supposed to have such a currency, so that you can purchase the battle pass and skins in the shop.
The topic of monetization is highly likely not over yet, as Diablo 4 has not been released yet. It remains to be seen how expensive the developers will set the prices for the skins and DLC of the hack & slash and how the season’s content will turn out. Do you agree with Asmon or cannot you understand him? Let us know in the comments!
At the top of Amazon Games is German manager Christoph Hartmann, who has grand plans. He wants the new LOTR MMORPG to become the “largest MMO” and that is supposed to be done by the team that has already been through so much with “New World” (Steam). But Hartmann sees that as an advantage.
Who is speaking? Christoph Hartmann was born in Rosenheim. His parents worked as dentists, but he was not keen on staring into farmers’ mouths for 40 years, he said (via gamespot). He is someone who calls his dog “Sissi”, after the film series.
As a teenager, he fell in love with American culture, also because an American trained him in basketball. Hence, he completed an exchange year in Malone, New York, when he was 18.
Hartmann worked as a DJ during his economics studies in Munich and thus landed an internship at a music label in Spain. After taking some detours, he eventually ended up in gaming and was part of the team that created the original Grand Theft Auto in 1997.
Hartmann worked for the game publisher Take-Two (GTA, Max Payne) for over 20 years starting in 1995 and founded the gaming label “2K Games” (Bioshock, Borderlands, Civilization) in 2005. In 2017, he left the studio without specifying reasons.
Since 2018, he has been the key figure at Amazon Games as “Vice President” and is now planning a major assault on MMORPGs.
In an interview with IGN, he explains his intentions for the new LOTR MMORPG, which Amazon officially announced on May 15. The team from New World is supposed to develop the mammoth project.

Lord of the Rings – The Rings of Power: The official trailer for the series
The Lord of the Rings should attract new players to MMORPGs
Here’s what he says about The Lord of the Rings:
I want it to be the biggest MMO out there. That is of course good for us, but it is also good for gamers because I think there is a market for people who want big MMOs. There aren’t many out there, and I want it to be a title that brings many people into the genre because ultimately: The more people play, the more people there are to play with. And that is my dream and my hope: It should be the biggest MMO there is out there.
“Since I’ve been here, it has gotten better”
What does he say about the problems at Amazon Games? Amazon had a difficult start in gaming: With Breakaway and Crucible, first projects quickly died.
According to Hartmann, video game publishers are like a roller coaster. And right now, they are “more on the way up than down”:
Amazon has tried to establish itself in games, and I think they have approached the issue more like a tech company, not like a gaming or entertainment company.
When they brought me in for the first time, with a lot of experience and knowledge of the gaming industry, and when they gave us the space to breathe that we needed, it got better.
“New World was a big, big success”
What about the difficulties with New World? New World started off fantastically on Steam in 2021, with almost 1 million players online, but players quickly disappeared due to lack of new content and issues in gameplay.
Nonetheless, Hartmann considers the MMORPG a great achievement.
He says that for a new team with a first product and its own tech to create something this huge is great. That simply doesn’t happen otherwise.
The team of New World was then surprised by the rush at launch:
You can’t only prepare for the launch; you have to prepare for the first 2 years after the launch.
In retrospect, that was the big lesson from New World. Looking back, he says: If only more content and fewer problems had been created, they might have retained more players. But people would still like New World. They have now released a battle pass, and the numbers are rising again.

Amazon sees great potential in live service games and PS5/Xbox Series X
For the future, he has set himself the goal that Amazon Games also develops for consoles. The fact that the first games came only for PC were apparently still decisions made before his time.
He sees “live service” games, including MMOs, as a market with great potential that continues to grow. Players who quit due to age will be replaced by younger ones. Thus, the market can continue to grow.
Hartmann says that to reach millions of players, you have to take big risks and also appeal to players who have never played an MMO before. He is willing to take these risks:
My goal is not to make a certain group of MMO players happy with the game. I want people who usually don’t play MMORPGs to say: Hey, maybe I’ll play this because I understand it. It’s Lord of the Rings […] – I want us to approach it with such a broad perspective that we are not just making another MMO.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can freely express their creativity with a new feature… and cause mischief.
Nintendo likes to target a younger audience with its games. Titles like Mario, Pokémon, or Zelda are largely family-friendly and can be played in the presence of children, with some exceptions.
This also includes the new The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). It has an age rating of 12 years and can therefore also be played by minors.
However, thanks to a new feature meant to inspire players’ creativity, the game is not always as family-friendly as one might think – at least depending on who is playing and what the person is doing with the given possibilities.
Numerous posts are now circulating on social media, where instead of creating an impressive construct that aids them in playing through the game, players are building penises of various sizes.
Start video
Trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom shows what to expect in the game
What is this feature? In Zelda: TotK, Nintendo has given players the ability to freely connect various objects like wooden poles to build mechanical constructs.
These can then be used to explore the map, solve puzzles, or even defeat boss enemies. However, nothing stops players from making a boat or a cannon look like a penis and possibly even attaching it between the legs of a giant wooden figure (via Twitter).
What have the players built? Zelda players have shared some rather adult-themed constructions on Twitter that they’ve used to disrupt the game world. The first one is a boat shaped like a penis (via Twitter).
Another player uses their hammer-like construct to successfully fight against a one-eyed boss enemy (via YouTube). The battle is described in the comments as: “Using a one-eyed monster to defeat a one-eyed monster.”
And then there are oversized figures that help with gardening or watering the landscape… or something like that.

Nintendo has definitely sparked the creativity of some players and, in a way, achieved what they probably intended with the new feature – even though the constructions probably don’t look quite like what one initially envisioned.
If you’re not just causing mischief in Zelda: TotK, there’s a lot to discover on the map, including the underground. How you get there is explained on MeinMMO:
A huge leak about Pokémon GO reveals a number of new items related to Team GO Rocket and leaves trainers puzzled. We at MeinMMO will show you exactly what has been found in the game and reveal what the community suspects behind it.
Who is Team GO Rocket? Similar to the anime, trainers in Pokémon GO must continually prove themselves against the members of Team Rocket. You have the opportunity to face off against the villains at PokéStops and balloons and rescue their Crypto Pokémon.
Now, a series of new contents have been discovered in the game by the PokeMiners, which also indicate changes regarding Team GO Rocket. What exactly has been found, and what suspicions the community has about the new contents, we have summarized for you below.
Who are the PokeMiners? The PokeMiners are a group of data miners who regularly search the game for information on planned features or new Pokémon. They share their findings on social media with other players.
Although the statements of the PokeMiners have always been accurate in the past, these are not official information. Niantic can change this data at any time or decide against a release.
Findings show 3 new Rocket items
What was found? As the Reddit user redwineandbeer shows in his post, the PokeMiners came across some new graphics in the game during their last search. In particular, trainers noticed three new items immediately.

In the first row of the graphic, you can see a small machine referred to as a converter. Next to it are two crystals, which bear the names “Shadow Crystal” and “Shadow Shard”.
Since the names of the two crystals contain the word “shadow”, they directly indicate a connection to Team GO Rocket, whose Crypto Pokémon are also referred to in English as “Shadow Pokémon”.
Additionally, there is another graphic in the middle section of the found assets that contains the typical “R” of the villains. According to the PokeMiners, this is supposed to represent a Rocket takeover.
What could be behind the new items?
Crypto Raids: As Rocket takeovers have been happening continuously for months and you can also use Rocket radars to find the bosses Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff, trainers suspect that the found items indicate a completely new Rocket feature: Crypto Raids.
In the past, there have been recurring hints in the game code about it, which have been published by the PokeMiners. Accordingly, Niantic is likely working on a way to battle the popular Crypto Pokémon in special raids to secure them afterward.
In the comments, trainers are speculating about what role the new items might play in the Crypto Raids. You can read the following ideas there (via reddit.com):
Notcloselyrelated: “Crystal and Shard? So my guess – get 6 shards by defeating 6 different Rocket bosses and receive a shadow crystal. Use the shadow crystal to fight in Crypto Raids. You get one free shadow crystal per week […] and you can’t buy it in the shop, but you can buy 6 Rocket radars to get the shadow crystal faster.”
JakeFrommStareFarm: “I suspect that you get the shards from Crypto Raids. You receive the crystal once you’ve gathered enough shards, and then you use the converter to transform the crystal into a Master Ball.”
martycochrane, a member of the PokeMiners: “We don’t believe that the shadow gems and fragments (in the assets they are called crystals and shards, which is not confusing) are prerequisites for access. They seem to be battle items. Our best guess is that you use them to agitate or subdue the raid boss, but you don’t need them to participate in the raid.”
How to currently find the bosses of Team GO Rocket, we show you in the following video:
Start video
Pokémon GO: Finding Rocket Bosses – How to Collect the Rocket Radar and Track Them Down
Your own Crypto Pokémon: However, a correlation with the found Crypto Raids is not the only idea circulating in the community. Other players could also imagine that you can use these items to create your own Crypto Pokémon.
As IEatKids26 writes in the comments (via reddit.com): “I had hoped that you could create your own Cryptos with shadow crystals, but I was probably mistaken.”
In general, Crypto Pokémon are particularly interesting for battles as their attack value is 20% higher than in their normal form. This means they deal more damage to opponents. Trainers enjoy a strong popularity.
However, due to their backstory, there are also several arguments against this idea, as Banjo1812 summarizes in comments (via reddit.com): “Cryptos are supposed to be mistreated Pokémon that become stronger due to being poorly treated. We are in no way encouraged to do that. Nintendo or Game Freak or whoever provides Niantic with Pokémon wouldn’t allow that.”
Whether the new items really have something to do with the found Crypto Raids or if they are intended for something completely different remains to be seen. Once there is new information about this, you will find out at MeinMMO.
Find indicates two other important changes in the game
In addition to the new items related to Team GO Rocket, there are also further new graphics in the assets, such as the stickers for the upcoming Community Day. Some of them hint at two other important changes in the game that trainers will be excited about:
Hair Feature: The assets had a surprise regarding the avatar. As can be seen in the second row, it seems that new hairstyles, hair textures, and colors will be added to the game. A change that many players believe has been long overdue.
So far, there have only been gender-specific differences in hairstyles. All male trainers in the game have short hair, while all female trainers have long hair tied in a ponytail. The hair color could only be adjusted up to now. The new contents could finally bring more diversity to the game.
Master Ball: In the lower part of the image, a series of effect graphics can also be seen. These are supposed to be part of the cutscene for the Master Ball, which trainers have been waiting for a long time. The developers themselves fueled the rumors of an imminent release of the Master Ball with a tweet on May 15, 2023.
What do you think about the findings of the PokeMiners? What do you believe the new items are intended for? And will you change your avatar’s hairstyle if such a feature is introduced? Feel free to let us know here at MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers about it.
A hardcore guild in WoW Classic apparently knows no bounds. They master even the toughest challenges – and even raid in Ahn’Qiraj.
Those who can’t relate to the current WoW and find World of Warcraft Classic simply too boring seek a tougher challenge within Azeroth that requires a lot of willpower, endurance, and planning. The “hardcore” fans of WoW Classic have exactly that as their goal. But one guild goes even further. It’s not enough for them to simply reach level 60 without dying. They have set out to conquer all raids from WoW Classic without dying.
Now it was the turn of the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj – and C’thun had to bite the dust.
What kind of guild is this? The guild “HC Elite” from the server “Bloodsail Buccaneers” has taken on the hardcore challenge. They brought all their characters to level 60 under special conditions without dying even once. But their journey didn’t end there. Now they bravely fight through the raids of WoW Classic and have even managed to defeat the final boss from “The Temple of Ahn’Qiraj”.
Even though the boss has since lost much of his terror, he was a real beast back in the day. Many guilds despaired at the fight, and it took months before he was defeated for the first time.
This is how the kill went down: The whole raid was played cleanly, and there were no losses among the players – thus, this hardcore challenge was also successfully mastered.

The video of the kill is a bit unspectacular because it shows the “burn phase” of the fight. In the previous phases, you have to fight a lot of tentacles and damage the boss’s shell so that he is weakened and takes additional damage. Most somewhat well-equipped guilds manage to crush C’thun within one of these burn phases, and HC Elite does the same.
In the Server Slam of Diablo 4, players were able to defeat the world boss Ashava once again. The boss is actually designed for 12 players, but just like during the first beta, the hefty MMO boss fell to a solo player once again. Even Blizzard congratulates.
Last weekend, players were once again able to test their favorite classes in Diablo 4. The Server Slam was a final chance to test the game before the release on June 6, 2023.
As in the first open beta, the world boss Ashava was also present. However, this time players could only level up to level 20, instead of level 25. This resulted in fewer (strong) skills being available to defeat the boss.

How did he do it? Since the drop rate of legendary items was reduced to normal levels during the server slams, wudijo had to farm longer in advance to obtain the rare gear.
Additionally, he upgraded his equipment with the blacksmith to level 3 and used gems that provide additional bonuses. He primarily focused on more maximum health and increased critical damage. He also received increased attack speed from a potion.
In the end, the YouTuber even had a minute left. You can follow his epic battle in the English video:

What reaction did Blizzard show? His performance even impresses the heads behind Diablo 4. Mike Ybarra, president of Blizzard Entertainment, has learned of wudijo’s latest achievement. He jokes that Ashava needs to be buffed further to make it even harder for the YouTuber (via twitter.com).
Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher is also impressed by the performance and congratulates wudijo on his success:

What do players say about this? Many players are impressed that he defeated the world boss even on hardcore difficulty. On Reddit, a thread with over 300 comments has developed about it (via reddit.com). One user notes that this is “no wonder given the damage.”
In my own test run, the hunter, for example, dealt an average damage of under 100, which is significantly higher in the video.
Many players have also wondered how the YouTuber was able to solo Ashava. The answer is simple: hardly anyone is crazy enough to face Ashava at the highest difficulty level, especially in hardcore mode.
This meant that wudijo was out there without allies; the servers were emptier than in normal modes.
This led to Ashava being weaker. As the YouTuber explained in another video (via YouTube), the world boss scales with the number of players. A single player faces a weaker opponent than a group of 12 people.
What build did wudijo use? Since he could only level up to level 20 during the server slams, he didn’t take the same abilities as in his last attempt. Therefore, he adjusted his build slightly and used the following skills:
Zelda fans can have hope. Their favorite game might get a movie adaptation – but for that, they need to engage and make their voices heard.
The curse of bad video game adaptations seems to be broken for good. After The Witcher, League of Legends, The Last of Us, and most recently the Mario movie demonstrated that video game adaptations can be truly successful, hope also arises for other franchises. An interview with the Zelda producer revealed that they are interested in a film adaptation – but it seems they need the fans’ help.
Where did this information come from? The magazine Polygon conducted an interview with producer Eiji Aonuma and game director Hidemaro Fujibayashi in celebration of the release of the new Zelda game “Tears of the Kingdom”. One of the topics was the potential adaptation of Zelda into a film.
What was asked about the Zelda movie? Polygon asked, already assuming that they wouldn’t receive a concrete answer: “Has the current success of the Mario movie excited you for a Zelda adaptation?”
Aonuma’s answer was not concrete, but at least the possibility is there:
I have to say that I am interested. Definitely. But unfortunately, it is not enough that I am interested to realize such things.
The game director of the current Zelda, Fujibayashi, then added:
Perhaps it is the voice of the fans that is important here.
In other words: If you want a Zelda adaptation as a movie, you should keep bringing it up in discussions and make it clear that you long for such a film.

Zelda has had TV adaptations before: If you dig into your own memory, you might remember that there was already a TV adaptation of Zelda. In 1989, a 13-episode animated series aired, each episode lasting 15 minutes, which was also broadcast in Germany. However, the series is quite far from what Nintendo has built with the Zelda franchise in the years since.
Link was not the typical hero, but rather cheeky and often did not treat the princess well – he constantly lied to her or whistled after her. Other decisions also seem questionable – for example, the legendary “Triforce” in the series consists of only two parts. And Link’s iconic series line “I doooo my best, Princess” is likely to send chills down the spine of many fans.
We can only hope that we might soon get a modern and much more fitting adaptation of this franchise.
Would you be happy with a Zelda adaptation? Would you prefer a movie or a series? Should it feature real actors or should it be animated or styled like an anime?
The upcoming MMORPG Chrono Odyssey has recently amazed its fans again. The developer only shared a clip lasting 12 seconds. However, this one was particularly impressive: In detail, the Chronotector – a means of time manipulation – was showcased in a fresh gameplay sequence. The developer also explains its functionality.
What kind of clip is this? The clip probably shows real gameplay from the MMORPG Chrono Odyssey, which is set to be released on PC and consoles. Here, one witnesses a sequence demonstrating how the Chronotector actually works in the game.
Upon closer inspection, there are 2 scenes that freeze one’s heartbeat in seconds:
When used, the enemies in the first scene appear momentarily frozen, while there are brief flashes around them, and damage is dealt at lightning speed.
In the second scene, the time manipulation seems like a teleportation into the enemies, as well as back out to the starting point.
Check out the fresh gameplay material on the Chronotector here.

Sneak Peek of the Chronotector in Chrono Odyssey
The developer commented on the clip itself on Twitter and revealed the functionality of the time manipulation:
Freeze monsters in time to deal damage or rewind time to return to your original position before your own attack.
The use of time manipulation seems to be quite an interesting feature for an MMORPG, especially since other players might also use the technique around their own character.
ACe@AceShrine says: I love seeing new ideas… I’m hyped. I hope it will really be as good as we hope.
StaticGman says: When I saw this attack, I lost my mind! So awesome!
However, for some fans, this feature also raises several questions regarding its functionality. Users are also wondering how this will all work in an open world:
Dodo@Shinee_dodo: Does the Chronotector also work in PvP?
Camneron@cambamPTA: How does this work in an MMO where other players can rewind or pause time!?
A clarification on how the MMORPG is ultimately designed and whether the time manipulation can be used by everyone and on anyone is something the developers still owe us. If you want to learn more about the MMORPG Chrono Odyssey, you should not miss the following article:
A gamer wanted to build his new gaming PC. However, he was careless and plugged cables together randomly. Now he has to buy the expensive graphics card again.
Our title image is a symbolic image.
What was the exact problem? The user plugged the power cable for the processor into the graphics card and then tried to start the computer multiple times. According to a friend, he supposedly tried to plug in the cable three times and start the PC three times.
And this mistake should not have happened to him. Because power supply manufacturers now label all cables. For instance, the cable for the processor says “CPU” and the cable for the graphics card says “PCIe”.
Many users also explain this on reddit: He should have simply opened his eyes because the system is actually very safe – unless one uses brute force, as that can break everything.

Manufacturer shows sleek case, gamers are thrilled: “Great design! Goes directly onto my wishlist”
(Almost) foolproof system should protect against serious mistakes
Usually, the system is really foolproof and nowadays anyone can assemble a gaming system at home without much experience. Because all connectors are labeled, and the manuals for the motherboard and power supply explain all cables and steps in detail.
Moreover, the connectors are shaped in such a way that they only fit into a specific place. Even if one has little experience, one quickly recognizes which parts belong where and can avoid mistakes.
Why did the mistake happen anyway? The gamer probably forced the cable into the graphics card for so long that it eventually fit. This is evident because the connector of the graphics card is badly bent and even partially broken.
Without a power supply (or in English, PSU), no computer starts. Because the power supply provides all components of the system with power. However, if one does not follow the rules and plugs the cables into the correct openings, one can quickly risk a house fire. For example, a gamer discovered this, who bought a new modular power supply.
To prevent the biggest risks, all major manufacturers rely on fuses. However, every protection can be bypassed in some way. And if one forces to plug cables where they don’t belong, it’s best to double and triple check before you not only destroy components but also risk a house fire in the end.
A year ago, the video of YouTuber Trevor Jacob went viral, in which he crashed his private plane. He now faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years, as he staged the incident deliberately to maximize his views.
How did the plane crash? In the YouTube video titled “I Crashed My Airplane,” Trevor Jacob can be seen cursing as he climbs out of the plane. Equipped with a selfie stick and parachute, he jumps out while the plane continues to fly uncontrollably.
By attaching cameras to the aircraft, the crash is filmed until the end. He also records his own stunt-worthy landing using various cameras, including the selfie stick. After Trevor Jacob reaches the ground, he continues to curse while trying to free himself from a bush.
When he encounters drivers, he claims that he had an engine failure and could not land. The credits of the video state: “Thanks to the farmers who rescued me.”

YouTuber probably wanted to increase his reach
Did Trevor Jacobreport the incident? Not really. Although the reckless pilot reported the crash to the authorities two days later, he claimed not to know where the wreck was located. He allegedly hid the evidence, thus obstructing the investigation (via PC Gamer).
What happened to Trevor Jacobafter that? After several investigations, he admitted everything and pleaded guilty. He is currently facing a potential prison sentence of up to 20 years due to charges of destruction and concealment.
A somewhat more harmless staging to generate a large reach can be seen here:

Fortnite victory on a moving truck creates viral hit on TikTok – Here’s what it’s about
Why did Trevor Jacobequip everything with cameras? That’s a question everyone watching the video must be asking. Before the flight, he prepared everything because he never intended to end the flight in a normal way. According to PC Gamer, his intention was to use the video to boost his reach for a sponsorship.
Even in a Reddit thread on the topic, many users question the content of his video. His entire behavior seems odd and under the displayed circumstances, an emergency landing would have likely been possible. During his hike to the wreck, he states that he would always wear a parachute, which is not the case in his other flight videos, points out a user.
Is the video still online? Yes, the video is still online. And that has drawn criticism from several YouTube users in the comments. Many note that they became aware of it due to the headline. One user writes: “A pilot’s license is not just a privilege but also a symbol of responsibility in aviation.” Trevor Jacob’s license was revoked in early 2022.
Several users compare the accident to a GTA stunt. “Point of View: You are Trevor in GTA, in the midst of a delivery, press the wrong button and instead of dropping the package, it ends with you jumping out of the plane,” writes “Arthur Tipaldi.” “This man could have killed someone. He jumps out of the plane as if he were playing GTA,” points out “Karma.”

A player has consistently played CS:GO solo for 8 years and recently reached one of the highest ranks. Now he explains how he achieved that.
Who is it about?
“SunsetRaindrop” is a Reddit user and player of Valve’s tactical shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
On Reddit, the player shared a remarkable achievement: he reached the third highest rank in CS:GO, the “Legendary Eagle Master” (LEM), in solo queue. This means he only played with random teammates and not with friends or teammates.
SunsetRaindrop writes in his post that he has consistently played CS:GO for nearly 8 years until he achieved LEM in solo queue. On his main account, he played with friends and often felt like he was being carried and didn’t deserve the rank.
In total, only about 3.20% of all players are represented in LEM, and only 3.39% have a higher rank.
In the comments of the post, a user asks if SunsetRaindrop has any tips. The player then listed 10 tips that he believes everyone can implement into their gameplay.

Counter-Strike 2 heralds a new era – The most important changes in the video
What tips does the player have? The player’s tips are partly very general but can still make a difference. They focus on improving game understanding and general gameplay behavior in CS:GO.
Here is a brief, translated summary of the 10 tips that SunsetRaindrop shares on Reddit:
Crosshair Placement – You should consciously pay attention to where you place your crosshair even outside of a gunfight. If you combine this with good map knowledge, you often only need to “pull the trigger” or make minimal adjustments when you see an opponent.
Communication – Communication and coordination are important, even with random teammates. SunsetRaindrop also points out that it can help to break the ice and initiate a friendly conversation.
Teamplay – SunsetRaindrop emphasizes that playing as a “lone wolf” is one of the biggest mistakes he sees. Instead, if you play in a team, there is ideally the opportunity for a refrag. This helps even if you can’t win your gunfights.
Entry – SunsetRaindrop urges not to be afraid to make the entry – even if you lose. Map control is important, and an entry is essentially the door opener of a match. It creates space for the whole team.
Dynamical Gunfights – Spray control is good according to SunsetRaindrop, but if you spray too much, you’re doing something wrong. It’s more important to be dynamic in duels and to shoot in bursts at the right moments.
Utility – The handling of common utility should be learned. SunsetRaindrop mentions that he uses some one-way smokes as an example.
Analyze Mistakes – When you die, you should ask yourself why you died and if you could have played something differently according to SunsetRaindrop. This helps to recognize your own mistakes. After that, you can try not to repeat them.
Take a Break When You’re Angry – If you notice that you are angry and potentially making poor decisions in the game because of it, you should take a break and continue playing the next day.
Recognizing Timing and Strategies – When you get a feel for your opponent’s strategies, according to SunsetRaindrop, it improves your game sense.
To train this, SunsetRaindrop suggests the following exercise: When you are dead, think about where the remaining opponents could be. Then check if your assessment was correct and how you could have anticipated your opponent’s position even better.
Distance – Keep some distance from your teammates and avoid standing directly behind them. If you’re behind a teammate, take a step to the side. Your teammate may not see you in these situations, and you don’t want to accidentally shoot him.
Term ExplanationRefrag & Entry: If your team achieves a kill, it is often referred to as a “frag” in competitive shooters.
The first kill of a round is the so-called entry frag. In some e-sports titles, teams have selected players responsible for the “entry,” meaning the opening play. Players designated to achieve the first kill of the round are often referred to as “entry fraggers.”
Any kill that follows another kill is a “refrag” and thus the response to a frag. In practice, this is the case, for example, when an opponent shoots a player from your team, and then gets shot by a player from your team.
What do other players say about the tips? Although SunsetRaindrop’s post did not receive significant attention on Reddit, the tips did receive some support.
The user mad_vanilla_lion wrote, for example, that he has consumed many CS:GO tips, but these are the best he has read so far. Another praises the advice to be more dynamic in gunfights as “just right.”
Many of the tips can also be transferred to other shooters and could be helpful in Counter-Strike 2 as well when the sequel to the popular tactical shooter is released in the summer.
Today, on May 16, the Spotlight Hour with Knofensa starts in Pokémon GO. We show you everything about Shiny, bonuses, and the event times in the overview.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday, a Spotlight Hour takes place in Pokémon GO. During these events, a specific Pokémon is focused on along with a bonus. The Pokémon and bonuses are determined by the developers at Niantic at the beginning of a month for the upcoming weeks. The bonuses affect Stardust, candies, or XP.
In today’s Spotlight Hour, you will encounter Knofensa and receive a bonus that gives you more candies.
Spotlight Hour on May 16 with Knofensa
When does it start? As you are used to from events of this kind, the Spotlight Hour begins at 6:00 PM local time. The event is active for one hour and ends at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? During the Spotlight Hour, you will encounter Knofensa almost everywhere in the wild. If you want even more spawns, you can use incense.
Additionally, you will receive double the amount of candies for sending Pokémon. This applies not only to Knofensa but to all Pokémon you send during the event time.
This Spotlight Hour is the third one in May. Two more dates are still ahead:
Can you catch Shiny Knofensa? Yes, the shiny version of Knofensa has been active in Pokémon GO for a long time and can be caught by you. However, you need a good portion of luck for that. During Spotlight Hours, the chances of getting Shinies are not increased.
Is the Spotlight Hour today worth it? The latest evolution of Knofensa, Sarzenia, performs well in the Super League in PvP. The other Pokémon in this family are quite weak and not particularly suitable for raids.
Especially, the Spotlight Hour is worth it for tidying up your Pokémon collection and earning a lot of candies. Those looking for strong attackers should look at other events this month.
