To increase your fishing skill in Dragonflight, you first need to learn the fishing ability for Dragonflight. Simply being able to fish traditionally is not enough; you need to specifically learn the fishing skill of the latest expansion.
There are many teachers for this, and you can find the first one directly on the coast of Awakening, at coordinates 81 / 31.
You will meet the fishing teacher right upon arrival at the dragon isles.
You can find more teachers in the capital Valdrakken or with the Tuskarr of Iskaara. Just ask a guard, and they will describe the way to you.
How to level up fishing in Dragonflight?
Leveling up your fishing skill works in Dragonflight exactly as it did in previous expansions: you simply need to fish. Cast your line, wait for the bobber to “wiggle,” and then click it to reel in your catch.
It doesn’t matter whether you are fishing in schools or just in open water. As long as you are fishing in waters on the dragon isles that can contain fish, your fishing skill will slowly increase.
However, be aware that leveling up your fishing skill can take quite a while. At the beginning, each catch gives you one skill point, but later you will need to catch 10, 20, or even more fish per skill point. There is no actual hurdle to this; you will inevitably slowly but surely reach a skill level of 100.
The skill affects the chance of how likely you are to catch fish rather than “junk” from waters and also increases the chance of special loot, such as coins or Ominous Shells.
What fishing gear is available?
Even though you don’t necessarily need equipment for fishing, investing in a better rod can be worthwhile. As soon as possible, you should place a “Khaz’goritanglerfriend” crafting order at an engineer and then equip that rod.
The Khaz’goriteanglerfriend not only increases your fishing skill by 15 points but also grants you up to 90 perception, giving you a chance to receive additional loot when fishing. Perception allows you to receive more than just a single item when finding special items – such as copper, silver, or gold coins.
Apart from a solid fishing rod, there is no other “mandatory gear”. However, over the years, there have been numerous items that can additionally influence your fishing skill. For instance, tailors can craft a hat that increases fishing ability, and at the fishing tournament in Stranglethorn Vale, you can earn shoes that also grant this bonus. Jewelers can also build small statues that increase the fishing skill of all nearby players for a few minutes.
However, keep in mind that fishing gear – apart from the rod itself – must be worn directly on the character and thus replaces your “real” gear. So if you are attacked while fishing, your combat ability is reduced. This can be fatal, especially in war mode.
However, all these enhancements are not really necessary. If you have a solid fishing rod, it is completely sufficient to get the maximum benefit from the fishing profession.
The Tuskarr of Iskaara
The Tuskarr of Iskaara are one of the main factions of Dragonflight and are closely associated with fishing. While you don’t necessarily have to fish to earn reputation here, many of their rewards provide bonuses for the fishing profession or unlock new activities.
You can impress the Tuskarr of Iskaara with fishing skills – and at the same time learn a lot from them.
Here is a brief overview of all the fishing unlocks available at different fame levels:
Fame Level 4: You can now see “fishing holes” that change weekly. Here you can find particularly many or special fish, as well as daily quests. Additionally, nets can be cast here later.
Fame Level 5: You can now cast nets at fishing holes and empty them after a few hours to receive fish without effort.
Fame Level 6: You unlock “Highland Fishing” and can now find new schools of fish in elevated areas. The fish can be ground by scribes to obtain pigment.
Fame Level 7: You unlock the construction of the harpoon needed to catch Oschis on land. These are particularly thick fish with special loot.
Fame Level 10: You unlock “Ice Fishing”. After crafting a special axe, you can break ice at marked spots in the Azure Mountains. There you can fish for certain fish that you can “let rot” to yield meat, Raging Frost, and Raging Decay.
Fame Level 13: You can upgrade your nets to receive more fish and shorten the waiting time for retrieving the nets.
Fame Level 15: You unlock “Lava Fishing”. In some lava areas on the coast of Awakening, you can now fish for special fish that can be probed by jewelers to yield gems.
Fame Level 18: You can improve your harpoon to pull Oschis on land faster and more efficiently.
Fame Level 27: You can now see and loot bait boxes of the Tuskarr at waters. They contain fish, recipes, sellable junk, ominous shells, and almost all other common items you can obtain through fishing.
Note that you will need various upgrade items for all upgrades to your harpoon and fish nets. Talk to Tavio in Iskaara (13 / 49) and hover the mouse over the items. In the item description, it will always state where you can find them.
Apart from the various fish with their culinary and crafting properties, there is also a variety of special rewards that you can earn while fishing in Dragonflight.
Ominous Shells and Oschis
While fishing, you will occasionally pull an “Ominous Shell” out of the water. When this happens, do not immediately cast your line again, but instead wait. Your character will “search” for Oschis – these are particularly thick fish. Once an Oschi appears, use your harpoon (requires Iskaara fame 7) to reel in the Oschi.
You can use a total of 5 Ominous Shells at once to summon special enemies at fishing holes. Often these are “just” elite Oschis, but there may also be special rare mobs that drop equipment or upgrade items.
Keep in mind that you can pull Oschis in together. The more players attack an Oschi with harpoons, the easier it is to pull it out of the water.
Coins of the Islands
Even rarer, you will find different coins while fishing – copper, silver, or even gold coins. These count as currency and can be exchanged at “The Great Flunk” in the Plains of Ohn’ahra (82 / 73). Here you will receive bags of varying quality depending on which coins you trade in.
The Great Flunk sells some bags for the coins you can fish.
The bags contain toys, but also resources like elements or Darkmoon cards. It’s worth exchanging coins only from silver quality onward and trading copper coins instead for silver coins.
For a gold coin, you receive a bag that guaranteed contains a cool pair of sunglasses as a toy. You will need the glasses for a puzzle mount.

While the new expansions “Dragonflight” and “The War Within” have been around for a while, a detour to Shadowlands can be worthwhile. Especially with mounts, Blizzard has been generous, as you can find one around every corner – if you know what you need to do. To help you grow your collection a bit, we show you 7 mounts that you can get with minimal effort.
In Korthia, a new area in the Maw from Patch 9.1, there are many new creatures, including several mounts. One particularly pretty and easy-to-earn mount is the Twilight Bladewing. The Bladewings are a normal mob in Korthia, but you can also get them quite simply as mounts.
All you need to do is: Farm.
To obtain the mount, you need a total of 10 “Lost Bladewing Eggs.” These eggs drop from various Devouring mobs in Korthia in the western gorge.
The blue “Devouring” enemies drop the eggs. Up to 2 per day.
Note that you can farm a maximum of 2 of these eggs per day; after that, they seem to stop dropping for the rest of the day. The first egg usually drops within a few minutes, while the second seems to take longer. You’ll need to do this over a span of 5 to 10 days.
Once you’ve collected a total of 10 “Lost Bladewing Eggs,” head to the coordinates 26 / 51 in Korthia. There you’ll find a nest that you can interact with.
Turn in all 10 eggs this way, and you’ll get the Twilight Bladewing!

By the way, you don’t have to turn in the eggs all at once; you can also bring them to the nest individually over several days.
A Practical Hand Mount from the Maw
Also new in Patch 9.1 are the creepy “Hand” mounts. One of the easiest to obtain is the “Chain of Bahmetra.”
While other hands are hidden behind long puzzles, the Chain of Bahmetra can be obtained relatively easily, as it can be found in the “Chest of the Torturer.” This chest can be earned once per week by any character from the Torturer events that regularly start in the Maw.
At every odd hour (11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, etc.), a Torturer event starts in the Maw. This is marked on the map with a small symbol, two minutes before it activates. Then, a series of enemies need to be defeated before the actual boss of the event appears.
Usually, there are enough players around to take down the boss quite easily.

The Torturer’s chest is one of the rewards for the event, and you are guaranteed to receive it on your first kill per week. However, the Chain of Bahmetra is quite rare, so you may need to play the Torturer events for several weeks. Since this only takes around 5 minutes each week, it goes relatively quickly.
Also important: Each of your characters at level 60 can receive the Torturer’s chest. It may be worth doing the event with multiple characters to get the mount faster.
The mount not only looks quite interesting but also has a few tricks up its sleeve. When you press the spacebar while sitting, the hand will show either “Scissors,” “Rock,” or “Paper.”
The Dead Horse Greymane
Few mounts are as well-known as Greymane. No, this is not referring to the king of Gilneas, but rather a loyal mount from farms in Westfall. During the Cataclysm expansion, the faithful horse died and has now found its way into the Shadowlands. Apparently, it was an evil horse, because Greymane now “lives” in Revendreth. You can find the horse at the coordinates 63 / 43.
You need to care for the horse for 6 days, then you’ll receive it as a mount.
Day 1: Travel to Westfall to the Saldean’s farm at the coordinates 57 / 37. Collect 8x handfuls of oats.
Day 2: Get the grooming brush from Revendreth at coordinates 63 / 62 and talk to Whinny.
Day 3: Collect 4x robust horseshoes. You can find these on the roads in Revendreth that are traveled by carriages, especially in the south and east of the area.
Day 4: Get the “Empty Water Bucket” from Revendreth at coordinates 63 / 62. Fill it in Bastion or Ardenweald.
Day 5: Buy a “Comfortable Saddle Blanket” in Revendreth at coordinates 51 / 79 from Ta’tru.
Day 6: Buy 3x shower apples from Mims at coordinates 41 / 47 in Revendreth.
Once you’ve completed all of that, you’ll get Greymane as a mount – the cool, red-spectral version!
The Great Frog Slurb
In Ardenweald, you can encounter some pretty absurd frogs, some of which are fused with stone or bark. One of these frogs can be obtained as a mount – and it takes extremely little effort!
To do this, you only need to farm a “Unusually Large Mushroom” in Ardenweald. It is not even particularly rare and can be dropped by almost all enemies. When you complete world quests or simply fight through the zone a bit, you will sooner or later have such a mushroom in your inventory.
Who wouldn’t want this giant toad?
But beware: The mushroom has a shelf life of only 20 minutes, after which it disappears from your inventory. So once you have the mushroom, you’ll need to hurry.
Travel to the coordinates 32 / 30 and click on “Wet Clay” to plant the mushroom. The mushroom will then grow and shortly become the rare mob Ri’sich. The large mushroom has some health points, so it’s best to have 3 or more players. However, Ri’sich will guarantee the mount Slurb, which you can then hop around the game world on.
The Wildseed Cradle
In Ardenweald, a lot revolves around the story of the Wildseeds that must be saved before the Anima drought. In cradles, the Wildseeds are transported from place to place – and just such a cradle can easily be obtained as a permanent mount!
You only need to collect 5 items in Ardenweald.
Gardener’s basket at 40 / 53 at the edge of a well.
Gardener’s hammer at 40 / 54 in a cart.
Nightsworn’s Diary at 39 / 57 on an upper level on a table.
Gardener’s flute at 38 / 58 on the ground near the tree.
Gardener’s staff at 39 / 60 under the cart.
Then combine all 5 items and bring them to Glitzersternchen, a Fae in Tirna Vaal at coordinates 64 / 38. Speak to her to open the treasure “Chest of the Moon” behind her, which contains the Wildseed Cradle.

Of course, there are also some mounts in Shadowlands that require simple farming to earn a new mount. One of them is the Bald Flayedwing. To get it, you need to find a Pestilence-Touched Egg – a white item, yet a rare drop.
You can find the egg with all Chimeras in Maldraxxus, but it has a pretty low drop rate of significantly under 1% – so you should plan a little time or use all your luck for the rest of the year. Chimeras can mostly be found in the middle of the map around the arena, as well as in the east of the area.

By the way, the egg takes 5 days to hatch. This is real-time; the clock continues to tick while you are not in the game. After 5 days, you will receive the “Chewed Reins of the Bald Flayedwing” and can take the cadaverous Chimera into your stable.
The stylish, dark unicorn Darkhoof can be found in Ardenweald and can be obtained from the rare enemy Nightmare – it drops 100%. However, Nightmare cannot be attacked directly, as it hides in a dream plane.
To be able to attack Nightmare, you need a Dreamcatcher.
Get a Broken Soul Net. You can find it at coordinates 20 / 64, just above the inscription “Tirna Scithe.” Reaching the location can be a bit tricky, but a goblin glider can help. You can also collect fairy dust southeast of the Heart of the Forest, which will allow you to fly for 90 seconds. This way, you can easily reach the island.
Who wouldn’t be weak …
Speak to Elder Gwenna at the Glimmering Cascade Pool at 50 / 33. For 10 Undead Silk, she can repair the Soul Net. Note that you must have already completed the side quest “Tricked” that takes place in the same area.
Now travel to the Heart of the Forest and talk to Ysera, who will enchant your Soul Net and turn it into a Dreamcatcher. If you’re not a member of the Night Fae, you can speak to one of the guards and ask Ysera to leave the Night Fae Sanctum to speak with you.
Return to the Winter Sleep Pool and use the Dreamcatcher. You’ll receive a buff for 5 minutes that allows you to see Nightmare, should the creature not already be dead. Then you’ll need to wait, as Nightmare appears only every 60-90 minutes.
Defeat Nightmare, and you can say hello to “Swift Darkhoof” in your collection!

Druids in World of Warcraft can get 8 new travel forms. We show you where to find the new forms for fast travel.
Patch 9.1.5 of World of Warcraft has brought a lot of small updates. Most of them are just improvements to gameplay or grind effort, there are a few highlights though. Night Fae can find numerous new forms for their soul shape and druids also have access to 8 new forms for their travel form.
We’ll tell you where to find all 8 new travel forms.
Note that for most of these forms, the profession of inscription is necessary if you want to craft the respective ability yourself.
The options for the travel form can be changed after unlocking at the barber – just like almost all cosmetic adjustments for your character.
Twilight Wings Raven
The new flying form “Twilight Wings Raven” hides in the old content of World of Warcraft: Legion. If you are an inscriptionist, you can buy the recipe in Val’sharah at the NPC Sylvia Hirschhorn. She is the quartermaster for the faction “The Dreamweavers” and is located at position 55 / 73. At least a friendly reputation is required.
If you do not master inscription yourself, you can also buy the unlock from the auction house or from friendly players.
Night Wings Raven
The darker variant of the raven can be unlocked in Stormwind. You must speak to the woman “Celestine Harvest” while she is in her human form. You can usually find her at the lake in the north of the city, by her little house. The coordinates are 58 / 25.
Just talk to her to unlock the new travel form. A corresponding dialog option is available for druids.
If you are a player on the Horde side, it is still not completely clear where to get the form. However, since the form is account-wide, you can also create an Alliance druid, learn the new form there, and then also have it on your Horde character.

Dark Stalker Bat
Druids who want to transform into a bat can buy “Technique: Mark of the Dark Stalker Bat” from Ta’tru in Revendreth. He is one of the intermediaries in the south of the area. You can find him at coordinates 51 / 79.
Note that he does not want gold for the technique but instead wants specific types of meat or another crafting material from the current expansion. So check what he wants today and then get the meat.
Majestic Bat
The second bat form can drop in the form of the necessary technique. You can get it from the creatures “Screaming Evening Howler” and “Terrifying Evening Howler” north of Sinfall in the elite area. However, the drop chance is quite low, so you might have to farm for a while.

Sable Black Arden Moth
The dark moth visually resembles the creatures from the Ardenweald – and that’s exactly where you can unlock it. Once again, you need an inscriptionist who has a friendly reputation with the faction “Court of Night.” Then you can buy the technique from NPC Spindlewink (coordinates 60 / 53). However, it costs 1,000 Anima and 5 Grateful Gifts.
Shimmering Arden Moth
For the lighter moth form, you also need an inscriptionist who has to solve a small riddle.
Look for Dromanin Morningbloom (coordinates 38 / 37) in the Ardenweald and click through its dialog options.
Pick up the Faenetz.
Travel to Val’sharah and keep an eye out for a Valley Moth. These are small moths of which there are only very few. Possible coordinates are: 73 / 50, 52 / 45, and 50 / 74.
Use the Faenetz on a Valley Moth.
Now you have the buff “Glowing Moth” and 20 minutes to return to Dromanin Morningbloom in the Ardenweald.
Click through the dialog again and the Mark of the Shimmering Arden Moth will be added to your available recipes.
This technique is relatively easy to obtain. Your inscriptionist only needs a respectful reputation with the faction “The Wild Hunt” (Ardenweald) and can then be purchased from the respective quartermaster. Aithlyn (48/50) or Liawyn (47/77 in Oribos) sell the technique for just under 1,500 gold pieces.

Midnight Rune Deer
The darker variant of the Rune Deer can also be obtained in the Ardenweald if you are an inscriptionist. You only need to hunt Rune Deer and -stags in the Ardenweald, which roam almost everywhere in the area. They are mostly neutral wildlife that you can find at every corner.
All Rune Deer and their female counterparts have a chance to drop the recipe.

The hype around OG Fortnite brings an unequal pair together in German Twitch: The streamers MontanaBlack and ELoTRiX poke fun at each other with delights. They were actually supposed to flee from wolves together in Canada, but instead, they insult each other in Fortnite.
What’s going on with the two?
MontanaBlack (35) and ELoTRiX (31) have known and liked each other for a long time. The two are close friends and have always supported each other in their careers: At the beginning, in the old CoD times, ELoTRiX was the bigger content creator, but for a long time now, it has been MontanaBlack, who is so much against the mainstream, that he can be found as a promoter in REWE stores.
Now, however, the two have found a common ground with “OG Fortnite” and have been seen repeatedly on Twitch in recent days, where they usually insult and troll each other. Much to the delight of their fans.

MontanaBlack, on the other hand, keeps poking fun at ELoTRiX about his nose (via TikTok) or his receding hairline. Various mothers are constantly insulted, and MontanaBlack has perfected a gag where he first asks his friend interestedly: “Who?” only to make it clear that the answer interests no one. Every time ELoTRiX falls for it, MontanaBlack can hardly contain his laughter.
This exchange usually takes place in an irritated but friendly tone. The two are horrified in one moment but laugh seconds later about each other’s jokes.

But at one point, things got a bit more serious. When ELoTRiX accused his friend of complaining about everything, including taxes, MontanaBlack shot back: ELoTRiX is a tax evader. Because it went through the media,that he is planning to move to Madeira.
ELoTRiX then didn’t want to let that slide: MontanaBlack should take it back. Otherwise, people would repeat it.
Well, one wonders how long it would have taken until the two would have torn each other apart in Canada, had hunger, cold, and wolves added to their frustration over messed up Fortnite games.

In League of Legends, one of the most prominent developers has now withdrawn: David “Phreak” Turley no longer wants to be active on social media. He has received death threats and the atmosphere has become extremely hostile. The little positive feedback on social media simply isn’t worth the burden of the death threats. The death threats apparently arose after changes to the “Ping” system in LoL.
Who is the developer?
David “Phreak” Turley (36) is a former caster who became a developer in 2022. He has been with Riot Games since 2009, so he has been around for a long time. Before his career at Riot Games, he was a Warcraft 3 player.
Phreak acts as the spokesperson for Riot Games and serves as a link between the development team and the community.
Developer plans to temporarily withdraw from social media
This is what he says now: In a YouTube video serving as a preview for patch 13.23, Phreak explains:
I will more or less withdraw from social media for the foreseeable future. The amount of toxic behavior has increased so much that it’s not worth sifting through the few useful comments among all the death threats. It is what it is.
Why is he getting so much hassle? According to players on reddit, it apparently has to do with changes to the “Ping” system in LoL that Phreak defended.
The “Smart Ping” menu is a wheel menu with 8 signals that players are supposed to use instead of typing. Through pings, signals like “retreat,” “help me,” or “enemy missing” can be communicated.
The idea is that players mute the normal chat, where there is often flaming, but can still communicate through pings. Riot Games can also revoke the chat rights of flamers, but still allow them to communicate through pings.
Opponents of the system want everyone to read the chat and insist that chat is incredibly important for coordinating in a team game.
At Riot, they believe that the pings are sufficient for exactly the coordination. It is enough just to ping that you now want to do Baron – there is no need to insult a teammate’s mother.
However, as Dotesports points out, the ping system is also used to harass teammates, which can degrade the player experience.
Phreak defended the system on YouTube: It is designed for when players are not together in voice channels. While communication is necessary, typing is often too cumbersome.
He was countered: In a team-based game, you should be able to communicate reasonably. The ping system oversimplifies that. Riot Games should strive to create a safe space for players and not limit their ability to communicate.
This discussion, which sounds quite reasonable as presented, was apparently misunderstood by some, leading to these death threats against the developer.

How is it being discussed? On reddit, a difficult atmosphere can already be seen as people discuss Phreak’s decision to withdraw.
Some say he shouldn’t be so sensitive. Death threats are normal in video games. People receive them all the time.
Others say, however, that there is a difference between receiving death threats while being anonymous and being a “visible person” known to everyone and then receiving such threats.
This is what’s behind it: The ping system can be hotly debated, and both sides can be understood. But that’s not what this is about anymore; the factual discussion has been replaced by a discussion about how to treat each other.
Ultimately, players who act so toxically cut their own throats: For one, no one likes to listen to upset, yelling flamers, and on the other hand, no one wants to engage in conversation and stay calm while being yelled at and insulted.
Reasonable arguments are much more helpful than emotions like anger and rage. When it comes to threats, every limit has long been crossed.
The discussion in LoL strongly resembles that in Destiny. There, the community manager who spoke to the players received death threats and even resigned. Since then, Bungie has largely stopped communicating with the players, about which they are now outraged:

Here, the AI consciousness was freed from its ancient prison when a Sith artifact known as the Fermata Cage was opened.
