Warhammer 40,000 is a grim world with complicated intricacies and a lore that has developed over decades. Our brothers from GameStar have made it their mission to let you dive deeper for a week.
I’m just going to be cheeky and claim: by now, I have infected most of our editorial team and a good part of our sister site GameStar with Warhammer. You have greatly contributed with your interest, alone in the poll about the best Warhammer setting over 4,000 people participated!
Now GameStar has decided to spread the teachings of the Emperor himself. For one week, from July 13 to July 19, daily content on the dark dystopia of Warhammer will be published. Of course, you can expect expert talks with people who practically live in Warhammer – like me! However, I can’t say yet when exactly the podcast will be released. On the agenda are things like:
- a deep analysis of the gameplay of the upcoming strategy game Total War: Warhammer 40,000.
- Lore and background stories about Space Marines and Xenos creatures.
- And a ranking of the strongest factions in Warhammer 40,000 – which you are welcome to compare with my own power ranking for Warhammer.
You can find all articles on the thematic page for the Warhammer week on GameStar, where several pieces have already been published, including one that I would never have suspected our loyal brothers and sisters would write!
Ironically, the greatest loyalists are spreading the worst forbidden knowledge
During one of my last visits to the editorial office, we did a major test: Which Order of the Space Marines do we actually belong to?. The result was quite clear: GameStar is almost exclusively loyalists, while you find the traitors here at MeinMMO.
It’s exciting that the theme week starts with an article about the greatest horrors of the Warp, before which even the Chaos Gods are supposedly afraid. This is knowledge that would still be classified even by the Inquisition and would require the highest level of clearance…
By the way: What would you like to read more about? Xenos, the Warp, the Imperium? A species you love that hardly anyone knows? Leave us a comment!
There’s a lot going on in Warhammer lately, since Games Workshop officially introduced the 11th edition of the tabletop, especially because the Emperor has given a real sign of life for the first time in many millennia… or something like that: Warhammer 40,000 shows the Emperor in shining armor and as a corpse at the same time – How can that be?
Ave Imperator!
