Out of nowhere, the developers at Auroch Digital have announced a new game for the universe of Warhammer 40,000. The big inspiration is actually a small game that became a viral hit years ago.
What kind of game is this? The name of the game might give it away. Warhammer Survivors is a game in the style of Vampire Survivors, which surprisingly became a huge viral hit and currently holds an amazing 98 percent positive reviews on Steam.
The inspirations from the small, big model are clearly intentional. The developers at Auroch Digital (Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun) are collaborating with poncle (the developers behind Vampire Survivors) and Games Workshop to best translate the engaging rogue-lite gameplay into the Warhammer universe.

What will set Warhammer Survivors apart? When the new Warhammer game launches in 2026 on Steam, you will be able to choose between the universes of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar – each featuring their own characters such as Malum Caedo (title character from Boltgun) or Neave Blacktalon (warrior of the god-king Sigmar).
