In WoW Legion Remix there is a release of the last content patch upcoming. In this, there is a cinematic to be seen, which is still beloved by the fans today.
The expansion Legion is still one of the best for many fans of World of Warcraft. This is not only due to the cool class campaigns but also to the overall story. After all, the addon revolved completely around the threat posed by the Legion, one of the greatest enemies of the universe. However, the reunion with well-known characters like Illidan was also extremely popular.
Many players will soon get to see one of the best scenes with Illidan for the first time. After all, a cinematic on Argus has remained in many memories.
What is this cinematic about? In the video, Illidan Stormrage meets the Naaru Xe’ra. Xe’ra explains to Illidan that he has a very special destiny and has been chosen by the Light to fulfill a prophecy. However, Illidan does not seem convinced and believes that something like fate must be guided by oneself. Xe’ra sees it differently and tries to “forge” the demon hunter against his will after he rejects it, essentially filling him with the Light and making him a fanatic servant of the Light. Illidan resists – and subsequently destroys the Naaru:

The community still loves the cinematic today: The video is still beloved in the community, as many comments in the WoW subreddit note:

Why is the cinematic important for Midnight? In the video, Illidan refuses the “gift” – as the Naaru assume that Illidan is the “child of Light and Shadow,” as mentioned in a prophecy. In Midnight, we find out there’s also another person who fits this description – Arator.
We accompany the half-elf, who is the son of Alleria and Turalyon, on a long campaign in Midnight and learn more about him and his connection to the Light. It therefore seems likely that the significance of the original prophecy from Legion will still play a major role.
