The next Community Day has been announced in Pokémon GO. There will be a monster with a previously rare trait and strong bonuses.
The Community Day for August 2026 has been announced. It will take place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The monster that will be featured can become very powerful during the Community Day in a part of the game. Additionally, you can look forward to some strong bonuses.
New Attack, New Strength
What kind of monster is this? The star of the next Community Day is Kleptifux. The little fox is from Generation 8, is a Dark type, and can evolve into Gaunux.
How strong is the monster? Kleptifux and Gaunux are not monsters that belong to the best attackers in Pokémon GO. However, through the Community Day, that will change in one area of the game: the Battle League.
Gaunux can learn the charge attack Ice Storm during the Community Day. This allows it to cover many more opposing monsters and become a significant threat.
On Reddit, this has sparked some joyful comments. MultiLuigi57 commented: “Gaunux with Ice Storm! With that, it almost belongs to the meta class.” Fuzzy_Subsctance_4603 added: “Damn, it wins against many meta Pokémon.”
What other content is there? Additionally, the event will, as usual, come with many more bonuses such as an increased Shiny chance, more candies when catching, and an extended duration for incense and lure modules. Furthermore, you will earn three times the amount of Stardust when you catch monsters during the event.
You can thus also use the event to gather a significant amount of additional Stardust. If you also use Star Pieces here, you can earn 4.5 times the amount of Stardust per catch, which is 450. With the number of Kleptifux appearing at the event, a larger quantity can certainly accumulate.
