Many young people of Generation Z or Alpha find being an influencer an attractive profession. A university in the USA now offers exactly such a degree, but it is also correspondingly expensive.

The description on the page explicitly states: The Bachelor of Arts program “Content Creation” prepares you to work successfully as an influencer and strategic storyteller in the rapidly developing creator economy

This is a course of study that fits the desire of many people of Generation Z to become influencers. In a US study by Morning Consult from 2023, Americans between the ages of 13 and 26 were surveyed about the profession of influencer.
57% of the surveyed Gen Z respondents stated that they would become influencers if they had the opportunity. 53% of the respondents from Gen Z also consider the profession to be respectable.
In 2023, a German professor of general business administration at PFH Göttingen surveyed high school graduates. It turned out that 43 percent could imagine becoming creators (Source: idw-online.de).
As can be seen, being an influencer or creator is a profession sought after by many people of Generation Z. But what does the course of study look like?

What does the program offer? According to the university’s description, the focus is on content planning, video and podcast production, and personal branding. You are expected to acquire various skills in this area, including audience analysis and social media strategy.
The university itself states: After your graduation, you are equipped for entrepreneurial and professional activities in content strategy, digital influencing, brand development, social media management, and audience engagement across industries.
In combination with this bachelor’s degree, you are also expected to pursue a master’s degree in various programs. Mentioned are programs such as Sport Journalism

How expensive is the program? Studying in the USA is significantly more expensive than in Germany. A bachelor’s degree usually lasts 4 years, and tuition fees must be paid each year.
