Quietly and secretly, another monster has been revealed in a Japanese advertisement for the roster in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Which monster is it? The monster in question is Blangonga, another monkey monster that will join Congalala in Monster Hunter Wilds. Blangonga was last seen in Monster Hunter Freedom 2 in 2007, making it one of the foes that has not appeared for a long time.
It is a saber-toothed beast that lives in the Ice Shard Cliffs. Its return was revealed in a short Japanese advertisement, where it can be seen at 0:19 resisting against a hunter.

Not uncommon in the Monster Hunter series
In a thread on Reddit, the community shares their excitement about the return of Blangonga and the way it was announced.
It’s not the first time a monster has been unveiled so quietly. For example, Kirin and Garuga were similarly “announced” in Monster Hunter World and the Iceborne expansion (via Reddit).
Fans particularly celebrate that the short sequence with Blangonga references a situation from the opening of Monster Hunter 2, where it confronts a hunter with a great sword (see YouTube).
Many players also joke that a third monkey is still missing and speculate that the monster Rajang will also join the other two monkey monsters in the foreseeable future.
