We are currently looking for support for our online editorial team and our live ticker for next-gen consoles and their availability.
Who we are: Mein-MMO.de was founded in September 2013 and is now the largest site for online gaming in Germany. Our site follows service games that are developed over a long period. Our team follows the approach of deeply accompanying games, becoming experts in individual games, and being close to the community. With up to 30 pieces of content per day, from current news to elaborate specials, MeinMMO reports on everything that matters to online multiplayer gamers. This includes fast-paced MMO shooters like Destiny 2, classic MMORPGs like World of Warcraft, and also online multiplayer newcomers like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Whom we are looking for: We are currently looking for someone whose heart beats for consoles and hardware. We are looking for support for our live ticker on the availability of the PlayStation 5. Experience in online journalism is an advantage, but not a requirement.
You are particularly knowledgeable about consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. You know which shop has consoles available next and are familiar with the relevant Twitter accounts and Discord channels. You also don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and inquire with Amazon, MediaMarkt, and others.

Your tasks
- You will manage the live ticker on the availability of the PlayStation 5.
- You will search in popular online shops for available consoles, keep an eye on Twitter, and maintain ongoing contact with our community and take their suggestions into account.
- You will learn to work in our content management system WordPress and create articles suitable for the web.
- You will research and interview experts and integrate this knowledge into your work.
What kind of live ticker is this? As is generally known, it is currently difficult to acquire a PlayStation 5. Due to the pandemic, there are problems in production, leading to a shortage. Since February 2021, we have been running a live ticker on MeinMMO, providing quick updates on the current availability.
We monitor shops, call different retailers, and receive tips from the community. It often comes down to seconds to snag a PS5. Therefore, we are now seeking more support to ensure the live ticker is of the best quality and speed.

- You enjoy putting yourself in others’ shoes and recognizing their needs.
- You should be sociable in order to receive tips on availability through various channels.
When is the job? As soon as possible.
How many hours is the job? We are looking for someone for a total of about 10-20 hours per week. If you could also work on weekends, we could add a few extra hours on top of that.
What about payment? The details of the payment will be discussed in a personal conversation. In this context, we will also clarify the possible scope depending on the hourly rate.
