Actually, everyone in Lost Ark should be happy right now, as the big December update is just around the corner and brings many new contents. However, the fans currently do not want these, as ongoing technical problems are causing a lot of frustration.
What is going on with Lost Ark? The MMORPG has been reporting increased technical issues for weeks now. These primarily manifest as frequent crashes of the game or at least connection drops.
The individual error messages are diverse. From a simple “Connection lost” to cryptic codes to the particularly unpopular “EAC Offline.” Regardless of which message affects you, you are first thrown out of your current instance.
This is particularly annoying because Lost Ark has many contents that you can only complete daily or even weekly. With some bad luck, this means that you complete the task but receive no loot for it. Such reports are piling up.
Additionally, after the second-to-last update, there were issues with the anti-cheat provider Easy Anti-Cheat. These led to increased CPU temperatures and that the MMORPG could not be closed at all.
Developers cannot get a grip on the problems
What is Lost Ark doing about it? The developers have already attempted to address the issues with several updates. Fans have been expecting improvements for weeks after the planned weekly downtimes. Even several irregular server maintenance sessions have been conducted.
However, these were only able to slightly contain the problems. Even today, on December 7, there was a planned downtime. The version of Easy Anti-Cheat was rolled back the evening before to counteract the CPU temperature issue.
Since the servers have returned today, however, everything is even worse than before. The subreddit is literally overflowing with complaints about the constant connection drops, and we at MeinMMO ourselves experienced a total of 7 crashes within about an hour.
The collaboration with The Witcher is set to start in January, hopefully everything will be running smoothly by then:

What do the fans say? They are currently extremely upset. One of the largest threads on reddit is currently the demand to postpone the December update scheduled for next week. This should bring a new class along with numerous new activities for the endgame.
In addition to a completely new and the largest Legion Raid ever, a new Guardian Raid and a boss rush for players with a gear score of 1,490 are also on the horizon. Even completely new equipment is supposed to be included in the update.
But the fans say that this must wait. Essentially, all commenters agree that Lost Ark needs to focus on getting the technical issues under control before releasing new contents.
