The weekly update on June 9 is particularly small in Lost Ark. It disappoints fans not only because of what it brings but mainly due to a previous teaser. We at MeinMMO summarize.
What’s in the update? Strictly speaking, almost nothing. The update this week is extremely small. It involves only a single change, which is likely to affect only a fraction of western players.
The patch today on June 9 improves some issues with the Korean audio track, provided fans have installed it. This audio track was only implemented after the release because many players requested it. Nevertheless, today’s update should only reach a very small part of the community.
This is mainly because in the June roadmap two weeks ago, the new Legion Raid Vykas was announced. Just yesterday, Lost Ark posted a teaser on Twitter showing the new boss:
Players were accordingly hyped and expected that Vykas would appear with the update today and are now disappointed that the patch is indeed so small.
How long will the server status be offline? The Lost Ark servers go offline, as usual, at 9:00 AM German time and will remain down for approximately four hours this week. If everything goes according to plan, you can start again at 1:00 PM.
Update 1:05 PM: The servers are back online, and you can continue to play without worries. Have fun!
It is currently unclear whether you need a download if you haven’t installed the Korean language pack at all. We will keep you updated on downtime and downloads and update this article in a timely manner.
At least Vykas looks nice, just like 4 other MMORPGs you can see in our video:
The community is annoyed by the bugs
What do fans want? Not only had players looked forward to Vykas after the teaser on Twitter, but also to an important bug fix. A bug where parts of the user interface simply stick to your mouse cursor and you can no longer move at all is still in the game – and that for 3 weeks now.
Last week, Lost Ark mentioned in the patch notes that they are already working on it. However, today’s update includes neither a bug fix nor current information on the progress of the bug resolution. The first reactions from the community are correspondingly negative.
What does the community say? The first reactions to the update are trickling in through the comment function on Twitter. Some of these we would like to summarize:
- NiklasRingling writes: “Still no fix for the cursor bug, and people are losing loot weekly because of it. Still no fix for the problem with the boss portals in South Vern, where support has to reset your character. For two weeks now.”
- highlikearii writes: “I hope you prepare the Vykas release with the update at least better than the previous Valtan release.”
- Shuii says: “Can you please just fix the cursor bug? Please?”
What do you think about the update? Are you also bothered by the current bugs, and did you expect a fix this week? Are you eagerly waiting for Vykas and were you also a bit disappointed by the teaser? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments here on MeinMMO.
Besides the bugs, the game has other issues: MMORPG Lost Ark has nearly 800,000 active players on Steam – But many of them are disrupting the economy.
