The weekly update for Lost Ark brings mainly bug fixes today, on June 2nd. A long-awaited improvement is finally reaching the game, while a pesky game error continues to plague the MMORPG. We at MeinMMO summarize.
Update 1:11 PM: The servers are back online, and you can continue playing. We wish you good loot!
What’s included in the update? Today’s update on Thursday, June 2nd, mainly focuses on bug fixes. However, there is also an exciting change to the rewards of the Chaos Dungeons. Additionally, smaller adjustments are waiting for you. For example, the range of the golden cloud mount has been reset to its original distance.
Bug fixes are unfortunately desperately needed in Lost Ark right now. Currently, a severe bug is affecting the MMORPG that causes your mouse to get stuck on the user interface. If this happens to you, you can neither move nor really attack, leaving you trapped until you restart the game.
However, there is no fix for this bug in today’s update either. The developers have informed us that they are working on fixing this bug, but it will remain in the game for the time being.
The highlights of the update:
- The bug that caused crashes in the story dungeon in South Vern has been fixed. You can finally continue the story
- Items you acquire from the Chaos Dungeon exchange vendor are now bound to your character, not your squad. However, the currency you need to purchase items will no longer be character-bound, but squad-bound.
- After several months, the time in the timer menu of the adventure islands now shows the correct time.
- If you play with a controller, you will no longer accidentally activate your ultimate ability when you just want to ping.
Server down until approximately 2 PM
When will the server status be offline? The weekly update starts as you are used to at 9:00 AM our time. It is expected to last about 5 hours this week. Accordingly, you can return to the world of Arkesia and loot diligently from 2 PM onwards.
We will keep you updated in this article and will update it as soon as anything changes or the servers are back online.
You shouldn’t expect a very large download with the updates, we will continue to update the article for you in this regard.
Update 12:19 PM: You can already download the patch. It is 76 MB in size and downloads quickly. However, the servers remain offline.
All patch notes
- The issue causing the client to freeze when loading Haiger’s estate or the ruins of Rielvarr has been fixed. The areas are again freely accessible.
- The rewards from the Chaos Dungeon exchange vendors are now bound to the character. Shards earned in the Chaos Dungeons are bound to the squad, allowing you to share them with other characters in your squad to redeem rewards for other characters.
- The issue where the “simple horn glasses” appeared white when equipped simultaneously with “chest guard – & pants skin: torn dawn” is no longer present.
- The issue that caused an error message when trying to load an older preset in the character creation menu has been fixed. If the problem persists, you can navigate to the folder with the customization files (found under Lost Ark LiveEFGameCustomizing) and change the file extension of all saved presets from “.cus.bak” to “.cus” to fix the error.
- Chimek, an NPC from Wildwing Island, is no longer appearing in the “hot Naruna springs”.
- The displayed timers in the adventure island menu no longer refer to UTC time in all regions.
- The problem that occurs in various endgame dungeons and raids when using the Korean VO DLC is no longer in the game.
- The number of remaining entries are now correctly displayed in the integrated dungeon menu.
- The issue that caused the “Awaken” skill to trigger when using the smart ping function on a controller has been fixed. Smart ping can be triggered by pressing A, B, X, or Y while holding LB + LT + RB + RT.
- The changes to the sprint distance for the mount: “Shining Golden Cloud” have been reverted. The cooldown for sprinting remains at 5 seconds.
Additionally, the team is still working on the following fixes:
- This maintenance break will introduce a potential fix for the timing of island raids; we will keep you updated and inform you as soon as the build goes live.
- UI elements (e.g., items) can still get stuck on the player’s cursor in various situations.
- Players on the Vykas server cannot make donations to a guild.
What do you think of the update this week? Are you happy about the bug fixes, or would you have preferred other things? Feel free to let us know in the comments here at MeinMMO.
