In Lost Ark, the new June patch has been released. It brought a lot of new features and adjustments, including the first new Kazeros raid and a fresh continent. MeinMMO reveals the details.
What are the highlights of the update? The freshly released patch Summer Heat
brings the new area South-Kurzan. Unusual events are occurring all over Arkesia. A red and foul-smelling red liquid is corrupting the sea of Gienah.
There are fears that this could be a sign of the return of the demon lord Kazeros. Researchers in Arthetine have examined the substance and found that it originates from Kurzan.
With a gear score of 1,580, you can venture to South-Kurzan, where Kazeros was once sealed in Mount Antares. There, you will find new quests, new NPCs, and rewards such as titles, achievements, maps, and emotes.

First Kazeros Raid: Echidna
What else can I expect? With South-Kurzan, the first of the new Kazeros raids enters the game – with two portals and new enemies as well as new mechanics. You must complete this raid series in order to eventually face Kazeros himself.
In the Echidna raid, you will fight in a group of eight, and your main opponent is Echidna, the former commander of the Greed Legion. Echidna was betrayed by Vykas (then still a lowly demon in the service of Echidna), who took her place. Now, after a long time, Echidna has returned to Arkesia.
- Required gear scores: 1,620 for normal difficulty, 1,630 for hard difficulty
Old, new feature: Allied Forces
What is this new feature? With the Echidna raid, a new mechanic is introduced: the Allied Forces skills. This allows raid leaders to summon various allied NPCs (including some Star Messengers) in battle to support their group. This feature is a new variant of the Star Messengers skills that you already know from the Valtan Legion raids.
How does it work? There is an Allied skill bar that fills up through specific battle conditions. Up to five slots of the bar can be filled. Players can use Allied skills after three slots are filled, with only the raid leader able to activate these abilities.
- When an NPC is summoned, it will use a powerful Allied ability
- The raid leader can give an additional command during the fight, allowing the NPC to use its one-time support ability
- This ability requires an additional slot in the skill bar
New progression system for your gear
What does the new system do? With the new progression system Advanced Enhancement
, you can improve your gear in new ways. Equipment items can be hardened and then enhanced with special materials obtained from the Echidna raid. The system offers up to 20 enhancement levels.

What else is included in the June patch? Besides the major features, the Summer Heat update brings numerous other improvements and content, including:

- Season 5 of the Trial Arena (the MSR values will receive a soft reset)
