Lost Ark brings a change for all upcoming weekly updates in the weekly update, today on July 6th. Otherwise, there is little in the update. We at MeinMMO summarize.
What is happening this week in Lost Ark? After last week’s big June update, the first July patch remains quite calm as expected. While players are busy with the new Legion Raid Vykas and the new events, Amazon is focusing more on background changes in the MMORPG.
The biggest change was already announced with the June update and has now been implemented. This involves moving the weekly reset day from Thursday to Wednesday. There are several reasons for this.
On one hand, players are pleased because Wednesday has long been considered a dead day in the MMORPG. There was little to do, and many events simply took place on other days. On the other hand, the developers want to bring the updates one day earlier to have more time to address any issues before the weekend.
A gift awaits you this week on top of that. Lost Ark is giving you Bloodstones to compensate for possibly missed weekly guild missions. However, you will only receive the red stones if you were actually affected by the bug that prevented these missions last week.

How long will the server status be offline? The servers will go offline at 9:00 AM German time as usual today. But there is now a change here as well. They are supposed to stay offline for only 1.5 hours instead of the usual 4 hours. Whether this will remain the case longer is currently unclear.

The weekly updates and resets will now take place on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays. This gives our teams at Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG a little more time before the weekend in case issues arise in an update.
Additionally, we will provide compensation in the form of Bloodstones for weekly guild requests. So if you were affected by this bug last week, you should receive your compensation as soon as the servers are back up.
And lastly: The welcome challenge ends on July 20th. So make sure to complete the challenges by then and collect your rewards!
