The community of WoW Classic is coming together and working hand in hand to eliminate a major nuisance.
One would think that the content of World of Warcraft Classic would eventually run out. However, this does not seem to be the case, as the player base has sworn to a new goal: eliminating casino bots. Players are pulling out all the stops and finding numerous tricks to effectively take down even “allied” characters.
What do casino bots do? In Classic, you usually encounter these casino bots spamming messages and trying to get you to participate in gambling activities with stakes of many thousands of gold coins. As you can probably guess, this is a scam, and you typically just lose your gold, which the scammers can then sell for real money.
The bots are a real nuisance. Not only do they rob players of their gold, but their constant spam also blocks many of the important chat channels. Therefore, the community had to come together.
How are the bots defeated? There are a number of ways to eliminate allied characters in the various Classic versions of WoW. One of the most common methods is summoning hostile creatures that attack all players in the vicinity. Warlocks can create this effect by calling their demon.
But there are also a lot of negative effects (like curses) that cause enemies to appear next to the affected character after a certain time. Many then stand next to the bots with such a curse and just wait for the summoned spirit or another type of monster to deal with the problem.
The community must level up as the bots fight back
Meanwhile, the bot operators have started to fight back. Either they report their attackers with dozens of accounts simultaneously, which can lead to temporary automated bans, or they buy a level boost so that their character is level 58 and cannot be defeated as quickly. Accordingly, the reactions in the community are quite amusing:

Even though there is sometimes a toxic atmosphere in World of Warcraft – Retail as well as Classic – it is still nice to see how everyone can come together to tackle a common nuisance. Even though one should consider that ultimately it is Blizzard’s responsibility to put an end to such bots.
In WoW Classic, you can also see things that no longer exist in Retail: The most famous sight in WoW is a blatant lie.
