In the current season of Pokémon GO, you can obtain the coveted XL special candies much more easily. MeinMMO shows you how to get them.
What kind of item is this? If you want to bring your monsters from level 40 to 50, you will need XL candies of the respective monster. Alternatively, you can also use special XL candies to convert them into XL candies of the Pokémon.
As good as the XL version of the special candies is, it is also quite rare. Therefore, it is a good thing that you can obtain them more easily in the current season than you are used to.
Many raids, many candies
How does it work? Recently, changes for the current season were announced. In addition to the return of the spotlight hours, a change was also announced that will affect Monday and Wednesday.
While Monday is all about Dyna-Raids, there is a raid hour every Wednesday. And it is during these two events that you can now farm a good amount of special XL candies.
All you have to do is complete the raids on-site instead of joining remotely with a remote raid pass. While you only have an hour of time for each raid hour on Wednesday and there are always comparably strong 5-star raids to complete, it is different on Monday.
Here, you may encounter relatively weak monsters in the Dyna-Raids that you can easily defeat alone. Additionally, you have much more than just an hour to complete Dyna-Raids. Therefore, Monday is especially suitable in the current season if you want to farm XL special candies to make your high-level monsters even stronger.
How long will the bonuses last? So far, it has only been announced that the bonuses are active in the current season. This season will run until September 8, 2026. Whether the bonuses will still be available in the following season is currently unknown. However, you still have plenty of time to collect special XL candies.
