What game is this about? Ultra Mega Cats is a new cooperative roguelike third-person shooter that is set to launch soon on Steam. After the PC release, a launch on Xbox Series S|X, PS5, and Nintendo Switch is also planned.
As the name suggests, in this game, you take on the role of a powerful and battle-hungry cat. In teams, you then face the fight against the nasty rodents and birds that have seized world domination. Because, as everyone knows, ultimately cats are the true rulers of the world.

What can you expect? As the trailer already shows, in Ultra Mega Cats, you control a cat that confronts nasty rodents and birds. For you have been captured by them, brainwashed, and kept as a fighting machine.
But now you face the battle for your freedom. You use various weapons, but also large robot suits that you control with your paws.
In various battle arenas, you can fend off your enemies with ranged or melee attacks. As the trailer shows, you can expect fast-paced and impactful gameplay. You fight through hordes of enemies and through a series of randomly chosen rooms. A very dynamic environment is promised here.
Ultra Mega Cats promises you several features:
- You choose between five possible cats, each with individual play styles and personalities.
- Each cat has 50 different M.O.D.S that you can unlock, offering more possibilities.
- PvE with up to four cooperative players.
- With the randomly generated rooms and enemies, every playthrough should feel different.
When is the game supposed to be released? An exact release date is not yet known. However, Ultra Mega Cats is set to launch in Early Access on Steam. This will initially include only two different characters and fewer areas than the later full version.
