How does the Jolthog trick work in Palworld?
For the trick, you only need a single Pal, namely Jolthog. The electric hedgehog can be thrown and stuns nearby enemies upon impact. If you throw a Jolthog directly into the water, the stun effect also works on water Pals, effectively bypassing the entire fishing mini-game.
Once the target is stunned, you can catch it with a Pal Sphere as usual, without triggering the fishing mechanics. This way, you can catch multiple water Pals much faster than through the traditional method.
What is the downside of the trick?
The method is not without its drawbacks. The outcome of the fishing mini-game usually affects whether you receive a shiny Pal with special passive stats. Those who use the Jolthog trick skip this mechanic and risk catching inferior Pals with less valuable passive abilities.
For quick grinding or simply collecting many Pals, the trick is still practical. However, if you are specifically aiming for perfect shiny Pals, you should continue using the traditional fishing mini-game.
