If you want to complete the last levels of World of Warcraft in turbo mode, you should hurry up. For a few days, leveling is going really fast.
While many players see leveling as fun content in World of Warcraft, there are also a lot of players for whom it is just a necessary chore and who do not enjoy it. These players are looking for the perfect opportunity to get through the leveling areas as quickly as possible and dive into the endgame. Thanks to Timewalking, leveling is currently as fast as it has rarely been before.
This is how it works: Currently, the Timewalking: Cataclysm event is happening, until Tuesday, August 13. These dungeons give quite a lot of experience. If you wear a complete set of heirloom items, a dungeon gives between 50% and 75% of a level. Depending on which dungeons you get, you’ll need between 15 and 20 dungeons. With a good group, this can easily be done in 6 hours; experienced players can probably do it even faster.
Here are some tips for Timewalking: In Timewalking, your character’s level is artificially scaled down, so you deal less damage. However, you receive full experience for your actual level and can also utilize a few mechanics:
- You can wear and use legendary items from Legion. They are activated when you are scaled down.
- You can wear legacy gear that does not go up to level 120. Since you are at level 85 in the dungeon, it is perfectly fine if the level gear scales up to level 90.
- Old set bonuses (such as from Legion) are also active again in the dungeons.
Here’s how to squeeze out even more percentages: If you want to speed things up even more, in addition to the heirlooms, you can rely on additional buffs.
- For a few more days, there’s the “Yay!” buff from the Darkmoon Faire, which grants 10% extra XP.
- This adds on top of the leveling potion available for warfront tokens (5 tokens for 1 hour of potion) and provides another 10%.
- If that still isn’t enough, you should complete an incursion from Horde or Alliance in Kul Tiras or Zandalar. That gives another 10%.
With all these buffs, the time can be pushed down to just under 5 hours if you have a capable group.
Now is therefore the perfect time to level up a few twinks to max level.
