In Clair Obscur, you play as the members of Expedition 33: Every year, the “Painter,” a strange being, writes a new number on a huge monolith that decreases by one each year. People of this age… just disappear. They die.
Expedition 33 attempts to break the cycle, like all previous expeditions, and confront the Painter. You embark on their island and discover a world full of dark secrets.
Clair Obscur has attracted attention not only with its story but also with its combat system. The battles are turn-based like a JRPG but also offer quick-time events in which you must parry or dodge like in a soulslike. If you now have concerns: don’t worry, you don’t need “gamer reflexes”.
