The new role-playing game Sea of Remnants on Steam and PS5 turns you into a quirky pirate who doesn’t take his everyday life too seriously. The developers have now announced an alpha test with a new trailer, showcasing how colorful the game is.
What kind of game is this? In Sea of Remnants, you take on the role of a pirate captain somewhere on the high seas. Your goal is to recruit a suitable crew and then wreak havoc on the seas with your ship.

During this, you can experience all kinds of mini-games and either lose or double your looted gold if you’re lucky. However, the biggest feature in the game is probably your crew members.
What’s the deal with the crew? According to the description on Steam, Sea of Remnants offers you over 300 different companions who are said to react differently to your decisions in the game.
It’s conceivable that the companions will also have different skills, as one main aspect is to build as strong a crew as possible to support you on your missions.
When is Sea of Remnants being released? The pirate role-playing game is set to release in 2026 for Steam and PS5. The first opportunity to set sail on the high seas will be between February 5 and 12, 2026, when the closed alpha test of the game takes place.
