The Twitch streamer Papaplatte will now attempt to play through Elden Ring in a modified hardcore coop version together with HandOfBlood.
How did this crossover come about? In one of his recent videos, HandOfBlood surprised some by essentially parodying the popular show “Wife Swap”. Other content creators appeared there whom people did not expect. HandOfBlood took on the role of the high-elo consultant Sparkassen Hänno. Along with other prominent streamers like Papaplatte, he humorously parodied various scenes from the television show.
In his video “Schluss Damit,” he already expressed the desire to interact more with other content creators in the future, especially after his transition from YouTube to Twitch.
He quickly made this desire a reality, as his new main channel videos showed. Now this surprising crossover follows not only in the video but also on Twitch. HandOfBlood and Papaplatte want to take on a new and challenging challenge.

“Harder Coop for Seamless Mod” with Increased Difficulty
What is the challenge about? HandOfBlood and Papaplatte have set out to play through Elden Ring in a modded hardcore coop version. This version of the game promises a higher level of difficulty and requires even closer collaboration between the two streamers to master the challenges.
The challenge began on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 4 PM and is scheduled for seven days, except for Saturday when the StreamAwards take place.
What is different about this version? HandOfBlood explained that the mod used is a “Harder Coop for Seamless Mod” with increased difficulty.
The mod description on NexusMods provides insight into the challenges awaiting the two streamers: “Enemies have 400% increased HP, 60% increased ATK and DEF, blood loss and freezing have been weakened for PVE, runes have been increased, and talismans have been changed to be more useful. STRENGTH, SPIRIT, and STAMINA ensure more HP, MP, and stamina.”
“I think he still doesn’t know how incredibly bad I am”
How did the first day go? Just before the start, Papaplatte commented on this challenge on X/Twitter: “In half an hour, Hänno & I will start our ‘7 Days Elden Ring Challenge’ & I think he still doesn’t know how incredibly bad I am ?”.
In the evening, after the first day of play together, Papaplatte shared a clip on X/Twitter that illustrated the intensity of their challenge. In the clip, the two are fighting against the boss “Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy”. The boss was already nearly defeated, with just a hint of life left. HandOfBlood had already fallen in battle and was now giving Papaplatte instructions.
One could literally feel the tension as Papaplatte focused intently on the screen while HandOfBlood calmly said, “Now concentrate.” He provided instructions on how Papaplatte should dodge the boss’s attacks.
But before HandOfBlood could finish his sentence, Papaplatte was hit by an attack from Rykard and fell to the ground in the game as well. A loud “No” escaped Papaplatte, accompanied by a mixture of frustration and disappointment over the unfortunate course of the battle.
“This is exactly how everyone imagined it”
How did the community react? Reactions from the community came swiftly, and many viewers confirmed that the course of the battle was exactly as they expected. Comments piled up under the posted clip, humorously commenting on the tragicomic moment:
