On release, GTA 6 will initially be available only for PS5 and Xbox Series. But what about the PC version? We have everything you need to know about it.
When will GTA 6 come to PC? Currently, there is no exact release date for the PC version. When it could arrive is still uncertain.
It is possible there could be a wait of several months or even over a year. When GTA 5 was released, players had to wait approximately 19 months before they could play the game on PC after the console release.
Unfortunately, you will have to be patient and we will let you know as soon as more information becomes available.
Why is the PC version coming later? As Strauss Zelnick, the head of GTA 6, explained in an interview, there will be a PC version, but the developers want to serve the core players first, who are the console fans on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Who is it worth waiting for? According to reports, GTA 6 is currently running on PS5 and PS5 Pro at 30 frames per second and it is currently unclear whether 60 FPS can be achieved. The latter seems unlikely until launch. That a PC can deliver this performance (provided it has the right hardware) is much more likely.
For those for whom this is very important and who own such a PC, waiting might be worthwhile. Especially if high FPS and the best possible performance with nice graphics are important to you, it might be sensible to wait and see if new information about a PC release comes soon.
It will still be a while until the release and there are virtually daily new pieces of information or discoveries from the community. To keep you updated, we have prepared a countdown ticker with all the important daily news: GTA 6: The latest news from Rockstar and the community in the ticker
