Gambling and online casinos on Twitch were a big topic on the platform about 5 years ago. Due to some restrictions, some casino streamers switched to the competitor Kick. Now it seems new deals have been handed out, as German Twitch streamers are now gambling away money in their streams. The streamer Tanzverbot criticizes this development, just as he did a few years ago.
This is the current situation on Twitch: Although Twitch restricted gambling on its platform over 4 years ago, that did not prevent some streamers from gambling money in online casinos again. Even today, as some recent developments prove: The Twitch streamers ItsAssiTV, gTasty, Eldos, and Giggand are now showing online casinos in their streams. The latter had previously voiced criticism of such deals.
Giggand is primarily known on Twitch for his GTA roleplay streams and otherwise streams in the gaming category. On Twitch, he has over 750,000 followers, bringing with him immense reach, which he now seems to use to introduce his viewers to an online casino.
The streamer Tanzverbot, who is currently more visible on YouTube than on Twitch, had expressed some critical words towards Giggand. Because: On X, someone found an older post by Giggand, in which he referred to deals with the company Nestlé or online casino deals as nonsense

and later commented again in a YouTube livestream. He had previously given Giggand high praise for not starting casino streams himself, even though Giggand had been in the casino bubble

What does Tanzverbot have to do with gambling streams? The criticism of Giggand is not the first one Tanzverbot has expressed towards casino streamers. Back in 2021, Tanzverbot initially criticized his Twitch colleague MontanaBlack, as he showed online casinos in his streams and thus, according to Tanzverbot, ignored his role model function.
In 2022, Tanzverbot then found himself in a somewhat larger conflict. He condemned the streaming of gambling by the streamers Orangemorange and Scurrows, which ultimately ended in a fight at gamescom. In this context, Tanzverbot’s address was also doxxed by Orangemorange.
In recent years, the content creator has increasingly struggled with his own problems and has gradually withdrawn from streaming. Since the spring of 2026, it seems Tanzverbot has returned to his roots, making content “like before”.
With his criticism of casino streams, another piece of the “old” Tanzverbot returns, and thus also a significant voice in the German influencer scene. This is also reflected in the comments on YouTube:

What is so bad about these casino streams? According to check-dein-spiel.de, online casino streams can be for viewers like a kind of gateway drug
. Watching casino streamers can entice observers to try their luck at the showcased casino.

The insidious part: The casino streamers – if they have a deal with the online casino site – receive shares if viewers sign up using their provided link and deposit money. Additionally: These streamers generally cannot lose, as the money they gamble away in the online casino is typically provided to them.
Although Twitch set a limit in 2022 by banning unregulated providers on its platform (see: safety.twitch.tv), it did not eliminate the problem and merely shifted it. For this was the birth of the streaming platform Kick. The new competition to Twitch was funded by the online casino Stake.
