To Fortnite: Battle Royale the new Patch 8.50 has arrived. It brings a ton of content, including the Avengers Event and long-awaited bug fixes.
This is included in the new Update 8.50: The highlight of Update 8.50 is, of course, the big crossover event for the new Avengers movie “Endgame”. In the past few days, there have already been regular teasers from Epic, including Thor’s Axe and Captain America’s Shield.
The features of the Patch 8.50 in PvP
New Game Mode – Endgame: This new game mode is completely different from anything previously available in the game. There are 2 teams, Thanos and his Chitauri warriors, and the Avengers on the other side. Team Thanos must find all 6 Infinity Stones on the map. When they find one, the finder becomes Thanos and has special attacks. More stones make all Chitauri stronger and Thanos as well.
The heroes, on the other hand, can find special Avengers items and respawn as long as they eliminate all Chitauri and Thanos or until the other team has found all the stones.
New Tournament on April 27th and 28th – World Cup Online Open: Week 3 of the qualifying rounds for the World Cup is active on April 27th and 28th, 2019. You can once again compete for the prize money totaling 1,000,000 US dollars. There is also a chance to qualify for the finals in the summer.
Gameplay changes and bug fixes: In addition to some minor issues, three major bugs have been fixed:
- The ghost audio bug is finally gone. It made you hear sounds from players when no one was there.
- The bug that occurred during weapon switching and prevented you from swapping or dropping weapons has been fixed.
- A bug that incorrectly placed traps is also gone.
- There are sound visualizations for hearing-impaired players.
- Due to a bug, players recently did not receive the correct experience points for surviving. They can now be retroactively gained via the gifting feature.
- You can finally pet your pets properly. The slap animation is gone.
This is changing in Creative Mode: The Creative Mode has gained a feature that allows for small competitions with round timers. According to the developers, this will also play a role in a planned 1vs1 duel mode later on.
The patch highlights of Update 8.50 in PvE
New Hero – Plush Cuddle Team Leader: A legendary explorer with egg bombs.
New Heroine – Miss Bunny Penny: A legendary constructor with enhanced plasma impulses.
All new heroes will be available in the shop from April 26, 2019.
New Weapon – Bowler: A small cannon. It fires cannonballs that deal damage to enemy groups and knock them back.
New Missions and Systems – Beta Storm – Resupply: The feature returns and has been revamped.
New Missions and Systems – Twine Peaks: There is a higher difficulty level with rewards.
